AU where Damian and Jon are exes due to Damian not wanting to hold Jon back from his hero life while he remains loyal to the league of assassins. They also both still have deep feelings for each other with Damian still calling him beloved. Whenever they come across each other, Jon continues to try and make it work with Damian but Damian continues to decline his advances.

this sounds *almost* similar to my fic from many moons ago called 'Beyond the Mountains' where Damian breaks up with Damian to return to the League, but Jon finds him and marries him anyway 😅

god, the idea of jon just NEVER giving up on him always just GETS ME. he loves Damian so much. He always has, and he ALWAYS will and its just. so emotional. 🥹

Damian's declines get less and less assertive as the years go on. Others in the League just assume he's Damian's defacto husband at this point 😂

I want a Steve who genuinely doesn't want to play DnD because it's just not his thing! He enjoys watching and thinks some of it seems fun, but just isn't interested in the time commitment, or the math, or various other parts of it.

HOWEVER he does demand, like a child when they find out someone is writing a book, to be put in every single campaign as a random npc. He doesn't want to sit down for hours roleplaying, but he does want that seductress in the tavern to have good hair and be named Stevana.

And this isn't like, something the others don't know about, it's very obvious who it is each campaign. Sometimes Eddie even convinces Steve to do the voice for the character if it's a fun one and Steve isn't at work. Steve enjoys how much it both amuses and gets on various Hellfire members nerves, especially because his characters are always... Pretty out there.

Gareth and Jeff tend to be amused by Steve's characters, unless they are actively getting in their way and even then Jeff at least normally just finds them hilarious. Freak continues to want to study Steve like a bug. A crowd favorite for the CC members but a point of annoyance for the Party was the character that Steve pitched that was infatuated with that quest's main villain and would appear randomly just to say something really suggestive about the big bad, inconvenience them somehow even in a really minor way, and then dip. They were definitely supposed to be rescuing Stefano at one point but he was basically kidnapping himself at several points. Dustin is perpetually annoyed because Steve won't play with them for real, but he WILL play a random bimbo that starts them on a quest and enjoys flirting with the older members characters.

(Will and Lucas are... Maybe a little disappointed he's never flirted with their characters but also, Steve would never do that lol.)

Eddie is fine with it, he thinks this is a great compromise. He gets that Steve doesn't want to do hours long storytelling sessions, but this way he still gets to enjoy time with Steve doing one of his favorite things - creating characters and writing the most annoying stories possible. He loves that Steve is participating in even just a small way, and honestly only having him participate for a little bit at a time is better for Eddie's ability to stay on task anyway. He knows Steve wouldn't have fun being a player but he also knows Steve loves being a problem.

Hello PATFWers! I am still on hiatus, unfortunately, and I think I may be for longer than I intended to. Sorry about that - the next issue is a big one and my classes and extracurriculars are making me busy. But in the meantime, here's something fun to tide you over!

Last semester I took a fiction-writing elective, and one of my short stories ended up being the PATFW human AU in disguise. It turned out pretty neat and I'm fond of it, so I've decided to let you all take a look at it. It diverges quite a bit from canon into its own plotline, (and boy is the Stephen King influence obvious) but the personalities will still be quite recognizable. For ease of reading, Dodd Tiedrich is Deepdark, Josefine Fleischer is Nightberry, and Agent Alfons Jeusten is Prowl.

He both does, and kinda doesn't hate her. he hates her for the fact she took his crown and sees her defiance of him as a betrayal, but he also respects that she's a competent leader and a skilled fighter despite her lack of training and fairly pacifistic background. (He does not admit this or shows it through mostly tsundere behavior)

so he ends up instead in a sort of cycle between feeling neutral, absolutely despising her, and being soft and vulnerable.

Mornings are definitely Jon's 'shift' of dad time. The second there's sunlight in the house, it's Jon's domain. Mostly also because since Damian tends to be up/returns home in the nighttime hours and takes care of baby then. (Jon's woken up many a times to an empty bed, but Damian asleep in the nursery still half in his uniform, holding the baby/baby's hand. Or baby awake playing with sleeping Damian's cape/mask/etc).

But when baby calls, Jon is up first, using super speed so Damian doesn't wake up and gets the rest he deserves. Jon goes and gets baby, swings them up real wide and just kisses their face a million times as he walks to the kitchen to get formula (after checking any diapers/other morning needs). Then, once baby is settled with bottle, Jon starts coffee for himself and Damian, and maybe any simple breakfast if he's feeling it, or thinks Damian might want it. He also hums/talks to the baby the whoooole time. Has full, one-sided convos with this baby who hasn't even said 'dada' yet.

Jon will then check any texts or messages or the like, update Damian's family if they message first about any potential hidden injuries or emotional traumas etc.

Then, after baby is fed, Jon will take baby and any coffee/breakfasts into the bedroom, where Damian is half awake, and clearly trying to wake himself up faster. Baby normally gets excited once seeing his other dad and Jon will put down the tray of stuff as baby makes grabby hands to Damian.

Jon will keep holding baby though as he gets back in bed. Damian will pick up his coffee when he's awake enough and then just lean against Jon as Jon continues to go through any messages/work stuff/etc that he needs to, until everyone is properly awake and ready to actually get out of bed. He normally knows Damian is 'awake enough' because the second Damian believes he's able, he steals baby for himself. 😂

Need more future fics that aren't dramatic fics about getting back with an ex or something but is just everyone peacefully living their lives post upside down.

Except Stobin who somehow manage to find trouble at every single job they find together.

They work night shift at a gas station that gets held up all the time. They temp at a start up that ends up being a scam. They become roadies for a bit for some random band that ends up getting really big and they get cemented into that bands lore forever. (And I don't mean CC this ain't about them.) They somehow get hired as the only legitimate employees at a business that's a front for the mob. (Even after they leave this job they still get invited over by the don for holidays.)

Meanwhile everyone else is in the background incredulous and very confused because how do two people find this much trouble at EVERY single job they are at. Esp because Stobin isn't even bothered by it at this point! Anything is better than the upside down, this is just normal to them.

lately i’ve been going back and reading earlier issues to pick up on any foreshadowing (and also to see asphodelpaw again 😔) and it’s astounding how linear the whole story feels. i remember first reading this blog and not really knowing where the story will be going, despite enjoying it, and it’s kinda amazing to see where it’s all leading up. i also really like how this story sorta managed to become its own thing; while there are plenty of amazing warriors oc stories out there this one definitely stands out to me!

just wanted to say that it’s an amazing story ❤️❤️ also a question that i’ve wondered for ages that i’m pretty sure has been answered before but what’s the birth order of pinepaw and his sisters?

Thanks! This really is one of the most clear, decisive longform stories I've ever written, I'm very happy with how few snags I've had to work around. And honestly yeah, I sometimes forget it's Warriors-based because it's practically pure xenofiction at this point.

As cats, Pinepaw and his sisters don't have a birth order (cuz they were all born at the same time), but if they were people then Asphodelpaw is the oldest, Daffodilpaw is the middle child, and Pinepaw is the youngest.

I'm always glad people can connect with this story on so many personal levels. It means a lot!
