"Yeap, that's me. You are probably wondering how I ended up in this situation". That's a longer story. My therapist and my friends think I should write it down. I guess it could be fun to scroll Tumblr at 80 and read it, thinking to myself:"WTF was wrong with me?". Got too many thoughts to keep them all inside. So here I am, right after I made it to my fabulous 33-euro hotel in Kesan. Which was right after the nice, almost 3h Greece-Turkey border crossing. First you sit in your car and go really slow just to get out of Greece, you take a little drive in the no man's land with just the military, some military, hanging around and you sit in your car to get to Turkey. You have massive anxiety so of course you've read how it all should go, you also look at everyone else and try to hack the system. The system is still not clear. You get to the final point where a Turkish lady is just not buying your story about driving all the way from Estonia to Georgia just to..hike? Nice try, it's gotta be drugs or some sort of weird trafficking. Based on her English level and mood you assume now is not the time to joke about being mentally unstable. So you go to the line for a car x-ray. To find out it means emptying your whole car. The car you packed 3 months worth of stuff in. The car you and your friend have trashed for the last 3 weeks. All of your belongings and life nicely laid out on the grass for everyone to judge. There's no anxiety anymore, just rage. You have 0 fucks left to give so you crack a joke or 2 with the middle-aged Turkish guys responsible for the x-ray. They find your sassy ass to be hilarious.

And off I go. The morning Agnes was smart enough to book a hotel in the closest city. Only 25 minutes drive on a dark Turkish highway with Anatolian Shepards jumping my car from the darkness every now and then.

And then there's the hotel. In my mind the best hotel I've ever been to. Because I've been on the road and sleeping in my little cozy ZuZu for the last 2 nights. Because I've just been through the gates of hell and now there's a huge bed, wifi connection and a hot shower (talk about learning to find joy in the little things). AND the guy at the reception probably got a little menty B vibe from you and sent you some fruits. Could I ever wish for anything more?
