Please tell me about your Dresden files head cannons and such like pls I need some one to talk about him with
:O
Alright so. I didn't really think of much for Murphy, like my main issue is whatever Harry and Murphy had romantically going on, I don't really have problems with her as a character. And this is my first time doing headcanons so the formatting is off.
Marcone:
Actually kind of a bastard. He's friendly with Dresden because in the long run it's convenient. Convoluted convenient but Marcone keeps playing the long game.
I really don't think his sexuality matters to him. He has bigger problems. Life-forms are chess pieces to him. If he wants to be successful both on earth and in the never-never, it isn't really useful to contemplate that part of him.
Marcone has kinda had it with Dresden, on the outside he's so professional and so collected. I think it's customer service.
(honestly why does Marcone act vaguely flirty with Dresden? There has to be more reason to it, based on Dresden's descriptions of him (even tho Dresden is an unreliable narrator...))
Is the cold, calculating, magnificent bastard we think he is, and take it some steps further.
If I were to completely ignore canon I would say that Marcone deep down is really anxious. Maybe he shoots up from bed some nights in dread from dreaming about how badly his new enemies could plunge Chicago, the States, and the entire world. (Hehehe and he doesn't know what else would make everything so much worse). Do you think he ever gets that way?
A GINGER. HE HAS RED HAIR AND I REFUSE TO BELIEVE OTHERWISE. HE'S GRAYING GLORIOUSLY.
Murphy:
How often does she question God? How far does her faith go?
90s pop enjoyer
THAT'S ME IN THE CORNER
THAT'S ME IN THE
SPOT
LIGHT
LOSING MY RELIGION
I choose to believe that she has really badass scars, and also retrospectively embarrassing ones from battles.
Dresden:
Horny in the most inconvenient way possible.
Have you ever thought about what Dresden does with the non-human entities that come onto him? He. Says. No. Every single time. He's actually very interesting like this. He's dealing with creatures that use beauty as a weapon AND HE KNOWS IT. And because he's so lonely and touchstarved his libido is like hmmmmm potential...
I think if he were to just stop, no world to save, no one in danger from forces that he would be best against, no plots using him, he would realize how miserable he is.
So many times has he told his friends to blindly trust him even though he wants to tell them the full truth, and the guilt gets to him.
What he really wants in life is a safe place, a safe life with Maggie, Thomas, McCoy, Karrin, his other friends, and his magic. No monsters to slay, no Chicago on the verge of destruction, nothing out to harm him and his family. Just a calm, happy life.
When he loves people he really, really does love. He wiped out an entire species to save his kid. He held a torch so bright for Susan that their love still had an effect on him for over a decade.
Ignoring canon I would say that if he were real I'd beat him up. Idc if he'd wipe the floor with me I would add to the horrors inside his mind. I'll have to convene with the board (my irl friends) if I am truly that terrifying.
Mainly because I am sick of his love life idc idc he needs friends not this bs.
Mab:
Now you might be thinking, Autixel, what the fuck are you doing? Writing about Mab before Thomas? Molly? Any other more shown character?
But Mab is becoming one of my favorites and it's about how she rules.
I think one facet of her mindset is ends justify the means. She does what she must for the result that matters. This is why Maeve would have never worked. She didn't get that there is a bigger game to it all, or Maeve saw it and didn't care.
When she goes to the human world I kinda imagine her in some 1950s fashion, the sleeker dresses remind me of her.
(hehe rule of 3)
Molly:
Girlypop is getting on my nerves 🔪
There's nothing tremendously wrong with her I'm just sick of her crush on Dresden. Both need some hot cocoa and a good cry not whatever the fuck is going on.
Plays guitar, with her wintry promotion she can play an electric guitar, yippee!
I want to believe that she would have made my immortal levels of bad fanfic, maybe one got infamous and was never finished.
Where and who does she swing? Kinda getting pan vibes.
You cannot convince me that she didn't have a raccoon tail dye once.
Thomas:
Edward Cullen in the most derogatory way possible.
Bitchless but canon hates me :(
Hope that fulfills expectations :)

Ah, Sarcastic Chorus...
Let's break down the 'I'm going to fix you' argument for Katara.
First off, no one can 'fix' anyone. Going into a relationship thinking you're going to change somebody and make them different is going to make that relationship bad. It's not necessarily toxic, but bad. Why? Because it's not your job to 'fix' the other person. The only one who can do that is the other person. You can only 'fix' yourself.
A lot of relationships fail because of these expectations.
I'm going to talk about fanfiction here for a moment since I've been writing a Zutara story. Since Zutara isn't Canon (but we really wish it was) and all, I only have what does happen in Canon and what happens in fanfiction tropes I see a lot.
In the show we get these wonderful little moments where Zuko and Katara are fighting each other (book one), and it sets a nice theme of opposites attract. The motifs are there with all the color symbolism... it's nice. That does immediately set our brains to 'oh they are so going to get together'. There are a lot of nuances to that, and it's lovely.
I'm not going to lie, Katara is in that group dynamic of 'The Heart' role, and yes, it does put a little pressure on her character to care for everyone. It's my least favorite role for a character and it's a bitch to write when you want that character to be independent.
Anyway, back to Katara. She's the mother figure, the caring and nurturing one that has to help everyone else sort out their problems while she has to internalize her own. It sucks. It really does. So when we get to TSR in Book 3 and she is practically berated by everyone for not acting like herself... she gets pissed, rightfully so because she had to help everyone else with their bullshit until Zuko finally joined. This is where Zuko becomes a foil for her.
Just to be clear, a foil is basically a character that encourages change to happen within a dynamic. It can be a group or a pairing. Usually, that character had opposite goals or a different personality. Zuko started out as the antagonist, but when he joined the Gaang, he's now a foil for the entire group.
Back to what I was saying... what was I saying? Oh yes!
So Katara is rightfully pissed because she needs to deal with her trauma when everyone is suddenly 'this isn't who you are'. No, this is exactly who she is. She is very much like her element. Water is fluid, it can be calm and it can be a torrent... which is exactly the way she is written. It's always been her, she just put everyone else's problems above her own. Now that she has to deal with her problems, it's chaotic for everyone else.
And yes, she does have survivors guilt.
That is her main problem, so now she has to deal with it. And Zuko gives her that chance.
This is getting pretty long, so I'll try to wrap everything up here.
Zuko doesn't need to be 'fixed' he's already done that himself by himself. Joining the Gaang was essentially a fresh start for him (I use that term lightly) which is why he is so awkward when he goes to talk to them at the Western Air Temple (or is it Eastern? I don't remember ahhhh. Fibro brain!) And it's so cute and I just want to hug him. I digress, but it's great.
Tumblr media
He's got a shitty past, but he is trying to change himself even further by accepting responsibility for what he did to them individually. In Katara's case, he has to work hard for her. It's lovely, and the payoff is great. I know for sure that is what I see in their relationship. He cares so much about her that he works hard to win her trust again. Why? Because she showed him compassion in CoD, and that struck a chord in him. Her strength is her compassion when he was taught by his sociopathic narcissist father that emotions like that are a weakness.
Tumblr media
That my dear Kat*angers is why we love this ship.
It's a beautiful dynamic between them that I would have loved to see Bryke explore, but they just gave us the most vanilla bland version of a romance they could find by pulling a D&B (Game of Thrones writers) and subverting expectations. It sucks.
TLDR version.
Katara doesn't have to fix Zuko.

The arrested development inherent to forcing characters to be children and adopt new parental surrogates (and never self-actualising; this is why they really reject Penny's arc) even extends to the depiction of friendship which is almost always sorely rooted in something really... childish. Like adult friendships are fun, complicated, and interesting, and depending on the emotional arc of a character, the ways they can interact (Cinder-Ruby comes to mind for me) can actually be interesting. It's not relegated to being uninteresting just because romance isn't involved (like they claim it's more interesting, and never explain why) and I think it's hilarious that a romance lover such as me can clarify that. Well, my enjoyment of romance is not in opposition like they claim, that's why.
But so often friendship is depicted as like... ten year old hijinks of unreal interaction between adults without adult concerns or adult interests (and especially unrealistic depictions of friends interfering with the relationships of other people, but that is just a weird 'friend as a narrative tool' thing) or even teenage interests where appropriate. Like I'm not rejecting joy or affection (if anything, the refusal to integrate joy and whimsy into adulthood partly explains regressions), I'm talking about canon and self-determining character.
I don't know, like, sure I have an issue with superficial fluffy shit and the bug-eyes, but that's because it's unjustified. Something like Ren/Nora which preserves some of that childlike joy and innocence and companionship isn't uninteresting at all to me, and finding ways to integrate that with their burgeoning adult romance is the interesting part to me.
But the childish things like lack of responsibility, self-determinination, parental surrogates, emotional insulation, all of that stuff is anathema to me. It's really interesting that it propagates in fandom though - like Mercury's problem is that he needs another father figure, and not to break free from it. It's not just a Cinder problem. But they're not generally interested in the adult concerns of the story (and at best engage with the thematic concerns on an adolescent cynical level) and it really, really shows. It's not like these are actual children in fandom.
The thing I'm wondering personally is when the anti-myth became preferable and more comfortable. I don't think romance is by necessity something you engage with as an adult (some people don't at all), but it's very telling to me something which indicates the crossing from the childhood to adulthood (particularly experienced first through adolescence) is at large rejected by fandom for undefinable reasons. It's not like 'found family is more interesting' is the idea here, and it's not like it's a totally heterosexual sentiment; finding family through a spouse is perhaps the oldest found family, and romantic couples don't singularly comprise the heterosexual unit.
Is this an actual evolving thesis? The problem is that this is usually framed as an offensive, conservative mindset, but to me, self-determination, empowerment, change, growth - these are not ideas relegated to the socially and fiscally conserative; they are essentially humanistic. And in fandom, childishness fucking annoys me, and I hate people who spit the dummy and get mad when their hedonism is challenged.

ACCEPTING ━ Give Me a Character;
Floyd Leech.
How I feel about this character
Floyd is hands-down one of my favorite characters. I love so much about him, from how he interacts with the world around him to his personality, which ( mood swings aside ) can go from goofy to terrifying in seconds. He's so much fun, and his child-like way of expressing his enjoyment is precious. The gap-moe between that and his role as a member of what's basically an in-school gang and his appearance of a member of some sort of fish mafia gives me life. He's the best boy!
All the people I ship romantically with this character
Obviously Riddle is my number one. From their manga chapter to in-game moments, the shipping hints are ridiculous. I think they're so hilarious because they go so far beyond opposites attract. But I also think Floyd would be really good for Riddle, because when he feels like it, he's incessant about things, so I think he would be the type of partner who would be really good at teaching Riddle to loosen up and that it's okay to just take a break and have a good time.
I also ship him with Kalim, just because I think their interactions are really cute. That one unfortunately doesn't go too deep for me jgdhrsej but I love every piece of fanart I see, and I love the idea of Kalim's never-ending happy energy being like a jumpstart for Floyd's bad moods ( i.e. really good for getting him out of them ). I think he'd give Floyd as much attention as he wants and would support him and adore him in ways Floyd isn't used to, since he's usually the one getting in people's faces with his attention!
Honorable mention for Idia. I think Floyd and Idia is a hot ship lmaoooo.
My non-romantic OTP for this character
Floyd and Jade, obvi. What more can I say? They're great. I haven't liked a pair of twins this much since the Hitachiins, so,,, it's been years.
Floyd and Azul is wonderful too! They seem to have a complicated relationship ( Azul seems to have one with both twins ), where, imo, Azul seems to question their friendship often/think that whatever they have could be easily ended if the twins get tired of him and decide he isn't providing suitable entertainment anymore. It's the prey holding the predators on a leash which is kind of awesome, even more so because the predators are letting it happen. But then, going beyond that, there's something very genuine there since they've all been together since they were kids. It makes me happy.
My unpopular opinion about this character
I don't really have one ( I don't think ). Maybe that he isn't stupid? I know that's a fact given the canon material, but certain parts of the fandom like to portray him that way which isn't something I enjoy.
One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon.
I really want to be able to have a look deeper into the family life and childhood of the twins. I want to see why they are the way they are, because out of all of the other non-housewardens, they seem to be seriously inherently screwed up somewhere. And that's even taking Rook into account, because while I can see Rook portraying certain obsessive traits and maybe a hint of sadism at time, most of that seems teasing, and he seems to have a large heart behind all of it, whereas Floyd and Jade seem completely self-serving and are liable to wage psychological warfare on others ( Jade ) or get just plain violent ( Floyd ). I also want to see more about their relationship with each other! I know they love each other and care a lot, we've seen that part is genuine. But I want an even closer look. How similar are they? Does this ' love ' they have for each other extend past self-interest? In other words, would they sacrifice for each other or put the other above their own selfishness? I'm not sure, but I'd like to see.

I wanna hear some stuff about Saitō Hajime! Maybe a short bit about him having just gotten summoned to Chaldea and how he gets settled in? Like, what's his priorities about having shown up to a new place, and how does he prefer to get situated and spend his time?
I'd definitely like to see how he interacts with Okita while he's at it too (be that brief or totally otherwise!), and (very optionally regarding the 3 character limit, not sure if in-passing counts lol) what his thoughts at least are regarding Izou as well.
You can just assume basic canon Chaldea otherwise though, with a rather chill default Master. They/them Guda works fine, I'm just here to hear about Saitō :)
Hello, thank you for the ask!!! I am getting to know Saitō Hajime's character as well, so I can't say this will be perfectly in character; but I'll do my best ^^
Saitō Hajime's Life in Chaldea (ft. Guda, Okita and a teensy bit of Izou)
Tumblr media
- Saitō seems rather nonchalant at first, calmly thinking; "Ah, looks like I'll be serving a new lord this time."
- Hoping that he'll be in for an interesting time, he's intrigued to see what his new Master will be like. All the glitz, glam and sparkling leylines that transport him to Chaldea don't really excite him much.
- Despite his rather laid-back approach to his summoning, a part of him vows from the very start to leave if Chaldea ends up being more of a risk to his morals or integrity than he desires. Before he can even face his master, Saitō has already steeled his resolve to place his loyalty within himself first.
-If things get too dangerous too soon, he'll bounce right outta there. - This is because in his past life, Saitō was one of the few members of the Shinsengumi that survived even after the fall of the Tokugawa ruled that they fought loyally on behalf of- until their eventual defeat at the hands of the implementation of the Imperial Family Empire's new rule. - If he could survive a time as turbulent as that, then heck, he'd do his utmost to live this time as well.
- When Guda greets him, with their warm smile, chill personality and friendly approach; Saitō is pleasantly pleased. He could get used to a master like this!! Impressed by the amount of free reign that servants have in Chaldea, Guda quickly gets onto his good side. - To him, this is completely the opposite to life in the Shinsengumi; with its rigid rules, practices and codes of honor. He won't have to worry about being sentenced to the ritual slicing open of his stomach if he decides to take a break now and then. He can enjoy his free time however he wants, and get in some training against brand new opponents. If things stay that way, Chaldea will be right up his street! - In his spare time, he may like to enjoy a good meal with faces both old and new; cheerily chatting over a good drink.
- It's there that he reunites with Okita for the first time in centuries!! As soon as they lock eyes, the two erupt into some friendly banter and teasing; ribbing each other over their life decisions.
"Oho, if it isn't Okita-chan.~ How's life faring for you? Still the same Meagre-chan from before?"
"I don't want to hear that from you, Shabbygumi. You're looking worn out, as usual!"
- Though they start out with some harsh roasts, the two begin bonding over their skills in no time. Saito greatly values as a fellow peer of his, and despite their differences, Okita cares about him as well. - Those two have experienced all sorts of trials and struggles besides one another, giving them a bond of familiarity that only comrades could share. That doesn't mean that he's not going to tease Okita, though. Not at all.
-Before they've even realised it, the two of them are often going together to the canteen to eat Soba together, Saito meeting many new faces along the way!
- Also, Chaldea's Soba is addictive to Saito. There's no way in hell he'd miss out on trying out the canteen's new recipes!
- Saito is also quite loyal to Hijikata, his vice-commander playing an important role within his past life. But he's a bit bewildered by this Hijikata's obsession with pickles, though.
"Ah well. He's as headstrong as before, that Hijikata."
- As for other activities, he'll get in some training too within the stimulation rooms in order to keep his Invincible Blade at the epitome of power- though he may not openly admit to doing that. He may be the sort to keep his training private (gotta stick to his laid-back exterior!)
- As he also has a rather neat and classy fashion style, if Chaldea has any tailoring or clothing areas; you may catch him there as well. - Life is good at Chaldea. Saito doesn't mind it at all. However, he's worried for his Master. The levels of battle, conflict and war they were enduring was beyond his wildest imagination, leaving him feeling a bit concerned for their sake. - If it was anybody else, he could just leave them at any time, or turn tail and flee when the time was right; but around a Master like that, who was standing so strongly and cracking such witty jokes despite the trials they faced...no way in hell was Saito going to leave them behind!! - So instead, he resolves himself to be Master's support by being the kind of person Master can talk to if they feel like giving up or throwing in the towel. He'll do whatever it takes to make sure they're alright, even if he has to drag them out of Chaldea by force. He wants to see his Master put themselves first.
- On that note, Saito digs his Master's sense of humor. A master he can joke around and have a good chat with makes for perfect company. He's glad that he could become acquaintance with such an interesting person.
- Finally, in regards to Okada Izou...let's just say that their ideals are at a loggerhead with one another. Saito respects him for his skill, yet doesn't really agree with the amount of risk Okada put his life in during his tenure as an assassin.
- As for Izou, he tends to be rather sensitive to criticism- even if it's of the joking kind; which means that they may butt heads a little before bonding over some much-needed drinks! After a bit of punching, I think they'd become great friends; with Saito's cool nature balancing Izou's defensive one.
- Is Chaldea the best place for Saito? Not really. But would he feel like leaving once he's there? Probably not. Despite the scale of danger he faces with every battle, he enjoys his Master; his allies' company, and the amount of free license he has to just act as he wants whenever he wants to. For him, it's a pretty nice summoning.
"Looks like I'll be here for longer than expected. I'll be in your care from now on as well, Master."

Thoughts on solackson..... because for me its just as bad as percico or jasico because age gap :/
Also thoughts on the opposite? Like will and percy rivalry
Because i have seen so many posts about it but will give a little "let it goooo" vibes
Will he hold on to the grudges?
Okay, so I'll preface this with a general blanket thing about me and shipping: usually, with a few exceptions across a few fandoms, I'm not an active shipper. My stance is usually "is this couple canon? Yes? Neat" or "is this couple canon? No? Okay, I don't really care about it". I very rarely actively ship characters who are not canonically together, and for the most part I accept canon couples as being canon and acknowledge their existence but give them no more of my mental facilities than that. I also almost never see any point in splitting up canon couples unless they split in canon; I'm largely a stickler for canon so aside from the occasional toxic relationship I see presented as "this is fine and normal look how adorable they are", I functionally ship canon ships and dismiss non-canon ships that break up canon ships to happen.
(Solangelo is the first canon couple in a while I have been more than just passively "okay that's neat" about; the other Riordanverse ships very much fall into that category for me and while I'll acknowledge their existence in my fics, I won't go out of my way to specifically write that ship. I'm far more of a platonic or familial relationship fan).
With that in mind, I automatically don't ship Solackson because it's a) not canon, and b) in order for it to happen, both Percabeth and Solangelo need to be split up, so even just on those grounds... no, I don't ship Solackson.
That being said, I do have other reasons why I don't ship it beyond the bog-standard ones. One, as you say, is age. I more don't ship Percico or Jasico because I view their relationships as being more familial, but the age gap there is also a bit eh, considering how young they are in general (an eighteen year old with a fourteen year old is urgh. A twenty-four year old with a twenty-eight year old is not so bad, for example, and the older the involved characters get, the less it bothers me), and of course Will is approximately the same age as Nico (about five months older, if we ignore the casino and use the fanon birthday of 23rd August for Will). Another is their lack of interaction in canon. Now, that isn't always a no-go for me in fandoms (I have a ship where the characters are never seen together in one fandom, although they canonically would have known each other), but in this fandom it feels odd - especially as Percy is the main character and our main narrator for the first series.
(Non-canonical main character shipping is, as a general rule, something I really tend to steer clear of, because they get shipped with everyone regardless of chemistry or care for keeping them or the other character(s) in character and it honestly bores me.)
But even when we compare Will and Percy in general... I can't see it. Will has the stubbornness to handle Percy, that's true, but Percy doesn't have the stubbornness to handle Will where Will needs it most - calling him out on his own self-esteem issues, forcing him to stop and rest instead of working himself to the ground. It would be like the worst Solangelo takes I've seen - Will functionally acting as the healer/caretaker but getting no healing or care in return (there's a word for this and it's unhealthy. Toxic is also applicable).
And then there's the elephant in the room - Michael's death.
This links into your second question as well - how do I feel about their rivalry? Honestly, I can't see Will holding a grudge over it. For one reason, holding a grudge is not like Will - he will call someone out, he will make his displeasure known, but once it's been aired he lets things fall by the wayside because it's over and he sees no point in beating a dead horse (if grudge-holding was something Will struggled with, Solangelo would never work because that's Nico's fatal flaw and they'd clash horribly, but that's clearly not the case because TOA shows us a lovely, healthy relationship dynamic between the two of them).
Another important fact to remember about Michael's death is that while, yes, it was the act of Percy breaking the bridge that resulted in him falling, the entire situation was Michael's choice. Michael is the one who stood his ground, Michael is the one who told Percy to break the bridge. There is no canon evidence that Michael even tried to run - and Will, at the end of the bridge, would have seen this. Will would know that Michael chose not to run, that Michael died to stop Kronos' advance and save them, that it was Michael's decision, basically, to die there.
I cannot see Will blaming Percy for Michael's own decision. I can see Will being devastated by Michael's death (he must have been), I can see him potentially being upset that Percy dragged him off to heal Annabeth rather than letting him keep searching for Michael (although it was Will's duty to heal if he could, and as the camp's top healer, he had to put his duty before his heart then anyway), but I cannot see him blaming Percy or holding it against him.
That being said, I don't think Will and Percy are particularly close. For one thing, in Percy's narration he almost always calls Will "Will Solace" when he's thinking about him or describing what he's doing. There's a distance there between them that suggests they don't interact, like with Michael, who is almost always referred to as "Michael Yew" in narration, but unlike the likes of Silena and Beckendorf, despite also being single-book characters with not much more page time (and while Nico is the same in BOO, we then get TOA where they're - obviously - much closer and the surname thing has been dropped. We never get that from Percy at all). For another, Percy spends very little time at camp and doesn't seem interested in socialising much at all anyway - while his narration calls a bunch of characters "friends", this is very much telling, not showing, and the showing doesn't support this at all (and then we have the Castor Incident, where despite being at camp for two years, Percy never even bothered to learn his name). As Will likely spends a lot of his time in the infirmary, and Percy seems to prefer using water to heal, there's also not much indication that they'd overlap anyway.
So, overall - no, I definitely don't ship Solackson, I don't believe they have a rivalry/Will secretly hates Percy, I think they're just two demigod acquaintances who know who the other is but as a general rule don't hang out that much, but are perfectly fine around the other on the occasions when they do interact.
Neutrality is a very valid dynamic!

talk to me about sprace. i love you and your opinions are so good.
hehe i love my friends @thefactsofthematter also enabled me on this and I love u for that
sprace is like. two sides of a coin right like I've been writing a very specific modern au and also I have an au that I've never written in but has been in my head rent-free for literally years at this point lmao but like. the reason I think spot and race work so well is because they're opposites but not really. disclaimer everything I'm about to say is specific to my headcanons but what else do we expect from sprace canon doesn't give us much.
but spot is a very drawn in, deadpan, focused person. he's ambitious and smart and clever, and always trying to think five steps ahead of everyone. race is also ambitious and smart and clever and always trying to think five steps of everyone, but he's goofy and cheerful and flamboyant.
like. modern au race would paint his nails and wear makeup and just be unabashedly, proudly whoever he wants to be. spot sees him and thinks "that's what I could have been, if things were different" and he doesn't regret who he turned out to be, he's happy with himself and happy with the person he's made himself, but he sees race and sees himself if he didn't have to be angry to survive. and race sees spot and sees the same thing reflected back to him, a side of himself he doesn't have to make use of. spot is angry and tough and it's all a protective shell. race is loud and kind of obnoxious and it's also a protective shell, because race is so unashamed of who is people can't even try to change that.
and when they have each other, they balance out. spot can relax and let go of some of the tension he can't help but carry, and race doesn't have to question if he's being taken seriously. because the thing is spot is always very articulate and when he's arguing he'll treat it like a debate, he'll deconstruct and break down everything the person he's arguing with says. race is usually more like, to say it in a silly way, "you want to fuck me so bad it makes you look stupid," but it's not because he couldn't do what spot does it's because he genuinely has fun arguing like that. he's not stupid. he's funny. he's goofy. he's a little silly goofball. spot sees right through that. so do plenty of race's friends, but spot sees right through and appreciates it for what it is.
also just like. race genuinely thinks spot is the funniest person alive. spot is so deadpan and sarcastic and people who don't know him incredibly well have a very hard time picking up on it because he's very deadpan in general even when he isn't kidding. race can just tell when spot is joking better than anybody else can so spot will say something that everybody else thinks is totally serious and race is rolling on the floor laughing. a typical reaction to them being a couple from somebody who only knows one of them is just like ???? why would somebody so cheerful and funny be with somebody so serious and boring and race is like he's hilarious so jot that down and spot is like and he's very smart and articulate you just don't pay attention.
race is easy with affection and good at saying what he feels, which kind of forces spot to spend more time with his own emotions than he's inclined to just because race starts the conversation and he can't just escape it entirely.
it's not like they really change each other, you know? they're both pretty solid in who they are and happy with it. spot is aware that his whole thing kind of rests on the fact that he walks into a room and people shut up and listen, and race likes being the comic relief, but they both bring out the other layers of each other.
not to expose the pet au that lives in my head that I probably won't ever actually write bc there's too much of it but like. human rights lawyer/activist spot and his partner of several years broadway star race have a podcast and people who click on it expecting to hear the silly goofy broadway actor they know and love are like "wow I guess he wasn't kidding about getting a 1550 on the SAT and getting academic scholarships to NYU" and people who click on it expecting to hear the no-nonsense lawyer and public speaker they know and appreciate so much are like "wow he can tell jokes that are actually funny" and they're both there rolling their eyes like "can't believe nobody pays attention to us enough to actually know us"

prologue - jueyun karst
pairing: xiao x gn!reader warnings: canon-typical violence mention words: ~1.8k words fic masterlist [ prev ] - [ next ]
chapter summary: you drag four of your closest friends to jueyun karst to chase after possible traces of the adepti. none of them expect for you to actually find any, but hey, anything is possible, right?
a/n: can't believe 'making xiao eat a chicken nugget and french fries' is becoming an actual fic but here we are. enjoy !! :D
Tumblr media
when you had asked yanfei the legal repercussions of disrupting jueyun karst, the entire brunch table had looked at you as if you had grown a third eye. kaeya had sat down the third mimosa he had been nursing, while childe had actually stopped speaking for once. yanfei giggled with intrigue and keqing had stared at you with an expression that screamed are you serious right now?
yet somehow, you had ended up in keqing's overcrowded car and made a road trip to fuel your farfetched dreams. sure, like any kid growing up, you had read percy jackson and the archons, but, unlike most kids, you had taken the myths of the archons seriously. shrines and ruins still sung praises of their names, but most liyuean mythology was treated as having no greater value than old folk tales. the world had moved on past the need of teyvat's expansive pantheon of the elemental archons, visions, and celestia, yet some scholars sought to prove the existence of the old gods. most of the time, their efforts were fruitless.
you, of course, were no scholar. you were simply a dumbass who graduated college and decided in their post-college/pre-settled life panic to go traverse the treacherous lands of jueyun karst. as prosperous as liyue was, jueyun karst still remained heavily untouched as there were areas that even rich moguls were scared to get their grubby hands on. why turn the beautiful mountains and swirling lakes into sprawling shopping centers if the entire area was rumored to be cursed anyways? so, the country had turned jueyun karst into a protected area in the form of a national park.
but now, with your car full of three and a half dumbasses (keqing certainly doesn't count and yanfei is only halfway to idiocy), you had decided to certainly ignore the title of protected area. you had full intentions of disrupting whatever you could get your grimy hands on. you wanted to see the adepti in action and, if others called you crazy for it, then so be it.
"gods, where even are we?" kaeya asks. his tone lacks the annoyance you would expect from childe nor the worried-yet-still-composed nature you would expect from keqing's words. so, you shrug him off with a simple wave of your hand.
"not really sure, but there's enough of us out here that we won't die, right?" you ask and kaeya stares at you blankly before turning to look behind the two of you at the three stragglers.
"keqing!" he calls, realizing that you are of no help. "where are we?"
keqing huffs as she approaches the two of you while yanfei and childe stagger behind her, both acting tired despite being some of the most athletic people you know. in typical keqing fashion, she reaches into her pocket and pulls out a compass. kaeya stares as the compass needle spins around aimlessly in her hand, its connection clearly disrupted by some force in the area.
"oh gods, what does that mean? we're going to die. we're going to die out here," childe deadpans, panic creeping into his voice. yanfei swats him playfully on the arm before he can begin his usual theatrics, knowing full and well how childe loves living in the spotlight.
"dying in a protected national park is illegal," yanfei adds and kaeya stares at her with a baffled expression.
"what? are the police going to arrest a corpse?" kaeya asks incredulously and yanfei folds her arms over her chest, staring at him with narrowed eyes.
"didn't you want to be a cop at one point? shouldn't you be aware as to how arresting procedures work?" yanfei asks and kaeya recoils at her question.
"no, i was considering going into military like my dad. i don't wanna be a cop," kaeya shoots back and childe jokingly gags once he hears the word 'military'.
"military? yuck," childe says and becomes the next recipient to receive childe's incredulous gaze.
"didn't you literally join the fatui for two years?" kaeya asks but childe shakes his head.
"not like you have any proof," the ginger-haired man shoots back.
"i can easily acquire proof?" kaeya says, but keqing clears her throat loudly before the two men can engage in a full showdown of words.
"c'mon, guys, we have bigger problems to solve than childe's blatant lies," keqing redirects the conversation with ease but not before kaeya lets out a triumphant hmph at keqing's words. "like figuring out why this compass isn't working and figuring out how to get back because it doesn't work."
"ooh, maybe it's not working because there are ghosts nearby," childe says, but before yanfei and kaeya can engage with his dumbassery once more, you interject.
"it's likely just elemental energy or adeptal energy. i know you guys probably don't believe in them, but this is said to be the former realm of the adepti. wouldn't be surprised if there are traces of them left!" you say, voice far too cheery for the implication of your words. kaeya only shrugs at the suggestion that gods are watching over you as you travel through the park, yanfei only looks intrigued in a nearly-dangerous way, keqing looks nonplussed due to her strong belief that the gods no longer exist, and childe looks absolutely terrified yet is trying to act like he isn't.
"anyways," you continue. "maybe there's a domain!"
"ancient liyuean law forbids unauthorized entrance into domains without proper licensure from the adventurer's guild," yanfei says, as if knowing ancient law is a completely normal activity for a twenty-something-year-old.
"what is a domain?" keqing and kaeya ask at the same time before glancing at each other.
"i'm... not sure. pretty sure they have like... ancient monsters and stuff," you confess and, for the first time today, childe perks up excitedly, eagerly taking a step closer to you.
"monsters? like those uh... hollychirls? whatever they're called? how big do you think they are?" childe asks with an excited glimmer in his eyes.
"weren't you just worried about dying?" keqing asks, but childe ignores her question.
"so like... we're trying to find this domain, right?" childe asks, confused. "what are we looking for?"
"i don't really see why a domain would have adepti traces so we're probably better off looking for something else," you say and yanfei perks up.
"like that?" she asks, pointing off at something glowing faintly orange in the distance. you squint slightly in an attempt to better look at it, but you're unable to distinguish what exactly yanfei as pointing at.
"we might as well go see what that is," keqing says and you're slightly surprised for the purple-haired girl to suggest such a thing, but you figure she's just trying to find a place where her compass actually works. the spinning dial isn't too much of a concern for you since you're in no rush to leave, but the friends you've brought along aren't quite as keen on discovering the secrets of the adepti as you are, so you follow the herd as they begin to move over to the glowing orange light.
the five of you climb down, approaching what soon reveals itself as a stone pillar with a glowing chunk of cor lapis on top. it's certainly nothing new and is probably a protected relic, yet no guards are stationed in front of it. it's almost certainly been discovered before, so why isn't it..?
"oh, isn't this area usually flooded?" yanfei asks and everyone turns to stare at her.
"you've been here before?" keqing asks and you wonder to yourself when these people will stop asking questions and instead keep looking for hints.
"you guys haven't traveled to jueyun karst before?" yanfei asks, confused. "yeah, this area's usually flooded with water. i've never seen that thing before."
if it's usually flooded, then it was likely discovered before, but not relocated, you think to yourself and immediately break out in a sprint towards the cor lapis tower. sure, it was about the height of you, with the cubic chunk on top reaching the height of your head, yet you were more than satisfied with looking at the carvings on the side. childe is the first to catch up with you, using his long legs to match your pace. he sighs as you finally stop and watches as you frantically begin poking and prodding at the pillar.
"are you sure that's a good idea?" he asks, nervously. "what if it's a mechanism or something?"
"what's the worst that could happen?" you ask and childe sputters over his words.
"a lot of things!" childe insists, yet kaeya, keqing, and yanfei's joined arrival interrupts him from making an even bigger fuss.
"try putting your palm flat on the diamond," yanfei suggests and you take a step back. with a steady hand, you lays her palm flat against the side of the pillar, in which a diamond has been engraved onto its surface. around the group of you, the remnants of water begin to glow orange as the pillar emits an even stronger, unnatural glow of energy. the pillar begins to vibrate rapidly and yanfei lets out a small, knowing laugh while the rest of you watch, wide-eyed and confused by the moving pillar.
yet, all that happens is that the cor lapis situated on the top of the pillar falls off, landing on the side of the pillar with a resounding crack. the four of your friends immediately move over to look at the now shattered chunk of cor lapis on the ground, yet you gravitate towards the stone pillar. on the spot where the cor lapis fell, a single name is etched into the stone, as if this pillar is supposed to mark a specific area.
"'xiao'?" you breathe, reading off the word on the pillar.
"what's xi-" kaeya begins, glancing over at you, but before he can finish, a flash of green appears on the opposite side of your friends. your lips part in shock as you watch the deity appear before you. a mask rests on his face and a polearm rests in his hand, yet despite his disguised face, you can sense the anger rolling off his form in waves. his green hair ruffles in the wind as his free hand reaches up to lower his mask. infuriated amber eyes pierce into yours, but the adeptus speaks before you can.
"i am adeptus xiao. how dare you mortals infringe upon jueyun karst and disrupt my land?" xiao seethes and, for once, all five of you are silent as the yaksha points his polearm at you.

Hi Days! I'm a huge fan of your work and your tumblr blog bc you give so many naruhina fanfic recs and talk about your stories, etc.
To sum it up, you're my favorite person lol, I'm a bit shy so I'm asking this as an anon, but I wanted to tell you something random just because I've always just thought about it and maybe you would agree or comment on it.
Have you ever listened to mitski? If you haven't I recomend you do bc she's amazing, but anyways I was listening to a song of hers called "washing machine heart" and it reminded me of naruhina, like the fic "together you and I" but different you know, like naruto only married hinata because he couldn't have sakura, she was his second option and every time he looked at her he wished and pretended it was Sakura, so Hina tries her hardest to look pretty and try to be the person he wants, always getting saddend by the idea that she isn't the one he wants, she knows his heart will only belong to Sakura. She let's him trample all over her heart and use her because she loves him unconditionally, maybe cry to her on some nights because he longs for Sakura's love that will never come.
I've read so many fanfics and I've never encountered one using this concept, I'd write it myself, but I'm not good at writing, maybe I'm reaching but it could inspire an angst story made by you or just a prompt or idea/concept for anyone to use. The hurt in this could be inmaculate and I bet a good writer could bring everyone to tears if they read a story like this. You don't have to do anything ofc I'll love you either way, I'm not meaning to push you to write a whole story with this concept by any means or to even post this ask, it's just something I made up/ related to this certain song, so I wanted you to see it, perhaps share your opinion or thoughts on it or just think about it. I love pain a lot hahaha bc I'm not a narusaku shipper in any way, I actually dislike the ship a lot.
Thank you for reading this and pls keep up the awesome work!! I'll always be a fan and support you and your spectacular writing❤️❤️
GAH What an awful fic idea you have 💔
“The Ring that Binds” by softwind - Rated M, Canon-Divergent, Multi-chapter, Incomplete.  Naruto and Hinata are married.  So why is Naruto calling “Sakura” in his sleep?
“Girl No 10″ by meeiwen - Rated M, Modern AU, Multi-chapter, Complete. Naruto makes a mistake with a dancer one drunk night.  Years later when he meets her again, he begins realizing his perfect life is a lie, but he’s too late to fix it.
And
“Territorial” by @bunny-hoodlum - Rated M, High school AU, Multi-chapter, Complete.  When Hinata takes advantage of Naruto’s desperation for love, they’re both a little too much for the other to handle.
Are similar to what you have there.
HERE’S MY VERY QUICK AND INCOMPLETE STAB AT YOUR PROMPT IT’S UNEDITED UNREVISED CANON-DIVERGENT AU RATED T FOR LANGUAGE BUT I HOPE YOU LIKE WHAT I COULD COME UP WITH 😘  THEY ARE NOT MARRIED BECAUSE I WOULD BE TOO SAD
...
Naruto finally makes it to the Hokage’s office, having had trouble shaking off fangirls on his way.  He can immediately tell he’s the last one there, even though it’s the eve of the Rinnegan Festival.  Tense expressions greet him, the atmosphere somber.
Sakura whips her attention back to the desk before them.  “Rokudaime, with all due respect, I don’t think Naruto belongs on this mission.”
Her behavior has confused him all night.  First moving away from him so that Hinata would sit between them at Ichiraku when Hinata could have just sat on the other side of him.  Then pushing him to follow Hinata back home.  He said aloud that he’d be seeing her later, and that he wanted to catch up with everyone first, but Sakura just glared at him...
She’s been pushing him away, more and more every day, breaking his heart to smaller and smaller pieces...whether knowingly or not, he’s not sure about that, but she’s never rejected him from being her teammate on a mission.
Worried, he meets Kakashi’s gaze.
“I understand your concern, Sakura.”  His tone is heavy.  His usual careless attitude nowhere in sight.  “Call it just my gut-feeling...you’re going to need Naruto’s strength for this mission.”
-
Hanabi was kidnapped.
Hiashi and Hinata are nowhere to be found.
“What do you mean...?” Naruto finds himself asking.  “I just saw her.  We just saw her.  Not even an hour ago.”
“When Sai reported Hanabi’s kidnapping, believe me, Naruto, we moved to notify her family immediately.  Anbu can’t find them.”
“What?”  The last memory he has of Hinata abruptly leaving dinner and running off without hardly a word nags at him, inexplicably tightening his chest.  “She’s fine.  Hinata’s strong.  She can take on anybody.  No one would dare-”
“Naruto,” Sakura interrupts, her gaze cutting sharp.  “She’s nowhere to be found.  And as much as you believe that, no one is invincible.  Not even Hinata.  We need to form a plan, otherwise we’re losing precious time.”
“No one is invincible.  Not even Hinata.”
An emptying numbness invades his insides, discomforting slickness muting him.
This isn’t his fault, is it?
-
What if she needed to tell him something?
She was acting strange at Ichiraku.
Quiet, unusual for her as of recent...
But how was he supposed to notice?  Should he have followed after her, like Sakura said?  But they were supposed to meet at his apartment later on anyway, so why did she have to come out early like that and ruin the good time he was having?  She knows how he hasn’t given up on Sakura.
She knows everything about him.  She’s been his rock after Sakura tried to shut him down for good.  So how can it be that she’d just disappear?  There’s no way.
There’s just no way that she disappeared right after she left...
-
Hours.
Hours of wandering around in abandoned, desolate, war-stricken villages in god-knows-where, and nothing.  No one.
He’s asking for the hundredth time, but he doesn’t care, he’s past the point of desperation, and anxiety-laced tension fills the air.  “Taku, you really don’t see anything?!”  The Hyuuga they have on their team led them into this godforsaken wasteland.
Taku turns on him aggressively, getting in his face in reaction, and yells, “What about you??  You think I’m not trying my best?!  This is my family!  Just because you’re Hinata’s boyfriend doesn’t mean you’re any more worried than the rest of us!  You don’t sense her??”
No.  He doesn’t.
His Sage Mode has never been so useless.  In fact, he senses no one besides them in this place, and it’s with terrible unease that he begins to entertain the thought that she’s gone for good.
“There’s no one even here besides us!  Nothing!  Why’d you take us down here?  Where are we even?!  How do we get out of here in the first place?!” he argues back.
“Sakura-san was right!  You don’t belong on this mission!  I don’t know what Hinata-sama could ever see in you, I haven’t seen her smile in months!”
“What do you mean by that?!  She smiles all the time!  I’ve never seen her act so cheerful in my life!”
“So you fucking know it, too!”  Taku glares at him with an incredulous expression.  “That she’s just acting!”
“What the hell do you mean by that-”
And he doesn’t know what happened next, but Sai’s grabbing onto Taku and he himself is locked in Shikamaru’s shadow manipulation.  Chakra’s sparking off his own hands, while blue embers warp along Taku’s.
“Calm down,” Shikamaru orders both of them.  “We’re not getting anywhere if the two of you keep fighting.”  He waits for Taku to loosen his stance.
Sai lets go of him.
Taku throws an insulting glare around before sauntering off.
Shikamaru sighs.  Hard.  “Go cool your head, Naruto.”  He retracts his shadow, and Naruto wastes no time walking off in the opposite direction, far from wherever Taku is heading.
Yet Taku’s ridiculous words ring in his head.  “That she’s just acting.”
But she said that she’s happy to be with him.  That she doesn’t mind that he’s still in love with Sakura.  She said that she’s just happy to be with him.
She said that.  She did.  And she wouldn’t lie to him, right?
She was just acting?
“You’re not going to finish your ramen?” he asked her on their date last month.
“No...”  Suddenly, she smiled brightly, something she’s been doing more often ever since he mentioned that he’s always liked how genki Sakura is.  “Do you want the rest of mine?  I’m dieting.”
He scrunched his eyebrows at her.  “Dieting?  Why?”
“Well...”  She looked thoughtful for a moment before seeming to come to a decision.  “Naruto-kun, you like thin girls, right?”
He knew she was talking about Sakura.  “...I guess...”
“I want to make you happy,...” she started.  She bit her lips for a hesitating moment before continuing, “so I’ve been trying to lose a little weight.”
“Oh.”  He didn’t know what to make of that.  Unbidden, he looked her over.
“Can you tell?” she asked, her characteristic shyness lowered her lashes, yet she didn’t fidget under his examination, and he could tell how she was trying her best to have that confident persona he admires in his former teammate.
Despite her recent changes in attitude, Hinata’s still been so physically small compared to himself and everyone else.  Under her jacket, he couldn’t tell if she looked skinnier or not, and even if she was, he doesn’t think she really needed to be skinnier.
But then she looked up at him with that heavy, hopeful weight in her gaze, and he couldn’t let her down.  Not when she’s trying so hard for his approval.
He fibbed easily.  “Yeah.  You look really good.”
She shined another smile at him that made him feel good.  Even if their relationship wasn’t traditional, he could at least still make her happy.  He could at least tell her some sweet words and see her sweet smile and-
She was lying.
She wasn’t happy?
He never made her happy?
Then what was the point of any of it?
No, she must have been happy, right?!  She said so!  She told him so!  Many, many times!
After all, he asked her.  All of those times he thought she was faking her smile, he asked just to make sure, and she vehemently told him that she was really happy to be with him.
She said he could talk to her about all of it.  That she could take on his heartbreak because her feelings were so much bigger than...
“Uzumaki Naruto.”
The unfamiliar voice has him leaping to his feet.
A man as pale as a ghost with piercingly icy eyes is floating down to him on some strange platform.  “You’re really as pitiful as I expected.”
“Who the hell are you?!”  He readies his stance.  He’s not in any mood for games, and he’s ready to let loose some of his stress on this very suspicious character.
“Hinata’s fiance.”
“Hinata?!”  Fire races through his veins, heating his feet, and he’s ready to leap at this guy.  “Where is she?!”
“With me.”
His heart rate exponentially explodes, beating into his ears, his skin practically bristling.  “Let her go,” he demands, and the threat of his words leaks from every pore of his being.  “Now.”
The man almost snorts.  “What makes you think she wants to see you?  You only ever used her, broke her...”  His collected expression hardens, and Naruto can sense that he has no intention of releasing her.  “I’ll make her happier than you ever could.”
Several thoughts fly too quickly through his mind to properly process any of it, leaving only residual uncertainty and that deepening sense of his culpability in her sudden disappearance.  But he doesn’t linger on the unpleasant sensations.  “What the fuck do you know?!”  And he’s charging at him, a Rasengan heavy in his hand.
The enemy is far more powerful than he appeared, immediately blowing him back with some kind of focused chakra.  “Weak, pathetic.”
“GIVE HER BACK!”  He replicates himself a dozen times, each of them throwing Rasenshurikens at the man.
Yet more of that strange yellow chakra protects him.  He’s unscathed even under his shadow clone onslaught.  “No.  I gave her a choice, and she came with me.  I’m just here to get rid of you, take revenge against you for her sake.”
He hardly comprehends the nonsense spewing out of the enemy’s mouth, and he rallies his clones into close combat, but the man manages to avoid many of the attacks while landing hits of his own.
Clones poofing away only to be replaced by more, frustration and fury starting to blind him into sloppier and sloppier moves.
“I love Hinata.  That’s why I deserve her.”
He chokes on his own breath, and in his momentary loss of concentration,...
He’s falling.
------------------------*
aaannnnd that’s as far as I want to go with that.  Imagine the rest of the team arriving in time to notice Toneri making his escape toward the sky, and I guess the rest of the story would sort of follow the rest of The Last...Naruto self-reflects a lot in a bundle of depression for a long time and yeah.
...ahhh...  I encourage you to write the fic you want to see in the world ❤️

Introducing Ingihyde Ocs
I'm going on vacation soon the 12th, and i will try to post but it'll sadly be sketches / badly pictures from my phone of my computer- XD So i thought I'd Introduce my Ignihyde ocs , expect for one. Because that would be a spoiler :) (some of this pics need to be updated but is their overall look)
Tumblr media
2nd Year Arson Damio(Twisted from Pain from Hercules )- Arson is Ignihyde's Vice Dorm (until Chapter 6 otherwise if there is a canon one , he will stay like that ). He is also owned by Idia as his demon butler. Arson and Idia don't really have the master/ servant relationship, they're more like buddies who often fight like children with Arson somewhat bullying idia at times, not harshly but to the point it'll annoy Idia. As wild and careless he is , he's in Ignihyde for a reason. When arson thinks rationally, He'll be the smart , calm and well reasoned guy. His Unique Magic is "Feel my Pain " - This causes others to feel what Arson feels. If Arson gets hit in the head, it'll hurt him more then it would but the person affected with would the same amount of pain
Small Facts:
-Arson always has injuries, from falling down the stairs, getting hit by a broom , you name it. He has a new injury every day
-Arson also has forms , his human form , tiny demon form and true demon form. There's even a form where he's human with more demon features
- He has a huge love for Strawberries
Tumblr media
1st year Ichi Damio(Twisted from Panic from Hercules ) - Ichi is Arson's brother. He's the third in command if Idia or Arson aren't available. Ichi is the most scared Ignihyde student ever. If you attempt to talk to him in any shape or form, he'll run off screaming. Now unless, he somehow gets to know you, he'll be more just shaken by your sudden appearances. As for Ichi himself, he's a huge sweetheart, he does his best to help others in need, he's using his school time to interact with humans (the best he can at least) because he wishes to be a butler demon like Arson
His unique magic is "Feel my Fear" - Similar to Arson's but in this case , This only occurs if Ichi has too much stress/ fear within him and it'll be a point where he screams his phrase ,so hopefully you cover you've ears but if you don't- your body will shake and all your thoughts are covered in black of fears. THe huge downside is that ichi hyperventals , so the magic stops until someone calms him down or until he passes out
Small Facts:
- Ichi can sometimes go in defense mode to protect someone. If someone threatens Arson for example, ichi will not think twice to kick them to beyond (his legs are the strongest)
- Like Arson, he also has other demon forms but Ichi shows those forms more often then Arson. Usually because of his freakouts, he tends to let his magic loose and causes him to shift his form
- Ichi tends to be in the Library by himself , that's the only time you can get to see him with glasses, he can't read without them unless he plants his face right into the book
Tumblr media
2nd Year Melson Romen(Twisted from Megara from Hercules ) - He is a RSA exchange student to NRC. When he entered, he was selected to in Ignihyde. At first, he wanted nothing to do with anyone because of a recent break up at his school but after meeting Arson and Ichi and Idia forced to get to know him , he opened up more. He now somehow ended up as idia's shield when Idia goes outside his room. Melson didn't care honestly , a lot of people don't like him because he's a RSA regardless but little do some know of a minor secret of his. He actually has a love for music but only for one kind , that he was somewhat shamed for at his school. Rock/jazz Music but mainly rock , is what he loves. it made him happy he could actually play his rock music at NRC which idia and the others were fine with as long as he wasn't too loud .
His unique Magic is 'Thread of Faith" - This magic allows him to fool people's minds. Like for example, he's able to have a magic thread on Vil for example , Vil would look at melson but Vil wouldn't see Melson, he would see Rook instead because Melson is aware that's who vil trusts. So as long as he acted like Rook , he can fool Vil. The thread comes from his body , so the more he uses, it takes more of a toll on his health then his magic, he can only stop the thread by cutting it, it can hurt depending on how much is cut off.
Tumblr media
1st Year Pome Fersild(Twisted from Hades Mortal Potion from Hercules/ inspired from a Cornflower) - He's one of the students who isn't shy nor quiet but quite the opposite, Some say that he's only in Ignihyde because he has the smarts of an ignihyde student. While he's bubbly and sweet, he's often ignored in his own dorm because of how loud and excitable he can be. The only two people who Pome gets along with are Ortho, who kept him from being lonely and idia ,mainly because ortho is happy with him and he lowkey likes his Pome calls him "nii san " too. Pome's main talent is working on huge machines that either produce power or up the magic power.
His Unique Magic is "Mortally be lost! " - Think of Riddle's UM but not only does it block your magic but makes you lose your strength and you can barely move your body. Pome is weak physically so him using this magic causes him to have the same effect on himself as well
Small Facts: - Pome design wise is based on a Cornflower with a pomegranate for the center , because i believe it was pomegranate juice in Hades' potion
- Pome is a Pixie and can fly naturally, it's actually rare to see him walking , if he does walk, Arson or ichi have to stand by because his legs are rarely used , so he could fall
- He loves to hug , so you'll often see him chase Idia just for a hug. It's also a comfort for him , so if he's distress, he desperately needs someone to tend to him

So as most of you know, I have been trapped in Haikyuu hell thanks to my boyfriend for the last week and a half. I'm already midway through season two but I'm taking a bit of a break from binging to get my sixth episode in my cartoon script out by next weeks end. For those of you that talk to my religiously (my boyfriend, or my best friend Tara of @targaryens-blog) then this OC will already be familiar to you! If not I wanted to introduce her to all of you as well as some of my favorite HC ideas for her and her canon partner.
Aratani is a student at Nekoma who went there with a specific goal in mind. Before she won best female libero in her prefecture, she met a boy that occupied all her thoughts through her best friend Bokuto. That boy was, of course, my best boi Tetsurou Kuroo. Her first early morning practice she runs into the object of her affections and the rest was as they say history.
Aratani is a more... reckless libero and she often gets hurt trying to go after seemingly impossible balls and managing to get injured with cuts, bruises, and scars along the way. She has a scar on her right hand from a beach volleyball incident. She is naturally a bit more quiet then her best friend. She isn't as loud or chaotic without Bokuto. She's a lot more reserved and shy in fact when he isn't around her. But when he is around her hoo boy the chaos is real. Their one on ones could literally last for hours without either of them taking a break unless one or both of their significant others stop them.
Aratani also loves video games! This makes her really close with Kenma something that I wanted to do because if you date Kuroo automatically Kenma has to fit in there somewhere. I HC Kenma as on the spectrum mainly because of how quiet he is and how obsessed with video games he is. They are a remarkably common special interest of those that are on the autism spectrum.
She is also Bokuto's next door neighbor! They met when she was six and they've been besties ever since that day. He was the one who taught her everything that she knows about volleyball as a sport. They're those friends that tell each other literally everything because both of them are on the mental health spectrum (more on that later!)
For my HCs if you want to stay that long they will be behind the read more line!
HC time!
Her with Kuroo:
*Her and Kuroo have that relationship where nobody understands how it works except for them. To the outside world they're complete opposites but to each other, they're perfect.
*If there is anybody in the relationship that knows they are in charge it's Aratani. Kuroo would willingly follow her anywhere that she wanted to go (Kenma always jokingly tells him that he's such a whipped simp for his gf but he just loves her so much and that's the tea sis.)
*Kuroo absolutely, 1 billion percent, screams like a woman. If you want an example, Tara told me that he screams like Jonah Hill does in The Accepted. I died laughing.
*He is also terrified of bugs. Even the little ones have him quaking in terror and screaming for Aratani to get rid of them.
*Aratani is insanely strong. Like she's small but could totally kick your ass and everybody knows it. Most of the Nekoma volleyball team is terrified of her, especially Lev because damn does Tani have a mean glare. Most of the time though she loves her best friends.
*She starts off incredibly shy but once you get to know her you find out that she's stubborn, cocky, confident, boisterous. Kuroo loves all these different sides of her his favorite is definitely her confident side. He loves that she doesn't let anybody get to her. Whenever people talk down to her she'll just come at them ten times harder (he also finds this part of her massively sexy-somebody please help him LMAO)
*Not only does Kenma have autism, but it is of my general experience and consensus that Akaashi has aspergers. You can pry this HC from my cold dead fingers.
*Aratani loves Disney. She's that Disney fan that prefers the older films and she could watch Brother Bear a million times more than she already has and still not be tired of it. Her other favorite is one of my underrated faves The Happiest Millionaire. Her and Kuroo's first official date was to Tokyo Disneyland when her aunt had a showcase.
*She could spend hours playing with Kuroo's hair. It doesn't matter what they're doing but she just loves when he rests his head in her lap and plays with his hair.
*Going along with the hair HC Kuroo is obsessed with hers. He's always preferred girls with longer hair but the second she took her hair out of her bun that she uses for volleyball when he first met her he was stricken with her.
*Aratani radiates little spoon energy. Even if she was taller she still would because as strong as she is she loves being comforted.
*When I write for them I see them as Annabeth and Percy in the Percy Jackson books. I feel like that gives them a sold mood in general.
Her with Bokuto:
*Bokuto has borderline personality disorder. He also has ADD. His lows get super low so she has to be there for him. She loves being there to support and love her best friend. *They are absolutely the two people who sing to Disney songs while on the ride. Especially if the song is catchy. The only one where they don't is Small World because usually Aratani cries on that ride. She loves the song and it makes her really emotional. *Bokuto actually writes his own songs. It's how he expresses himself when he's at a low point. Aratani sings the songs that he writes for his Instagram.
*Platonic. Cuddle. Besties. That's all. They are super clingy with each other during their movie nights because they've been friends for so long.
*No matter what she can always count on Bo to be there before anybody else even Kuroo. He'll just run to her no matter how far he is.
*They could literally spend days together just hanging out and most of their summers are spent at Aratani's backyard swimming in her backyard.
*Bo is Aratani's go to taste tester for sweets. She loves to bake for him mostly because it's something that makes him happy.
*(His favorite of her sweets is her mint chip brownies)*He us also the king of braiding her hair. He loves to just play with her curls especially since it's calming to him.
*Bo loves to watch her play video games. He could just rest against her as she plays Kenma in Mario Kart. Video games are something that he's never been the best at but he could just rest next to her.

Alela Grora: an analysis thingy
Good day to the funamusea fandom that has neglected my beautiful angel (joking. Maybe.) I offer you sea urchins a collection of observations concerning the eccentric lady: Alela Grora.
I'll be breaking down her personality and interpreting every scene and official art she's appeared in, and even include a couple of theories to fill in the gaps, if you find that interesting.
Note: I believe seichiinara did this before when she was active, but I sadly never got to read it. Therefore, everything here is based on my own observations.
First of all...Who is Alela Grora?
Grora is an angel that serves as Etihw's subordinate. She's an archer and a war veteran, and now destroys Wodahs' garden full time.
Based on canon appearances, she is described by Yosafire as "a weird lady looking for her eye"...Perhaps it's because Yosaf isn't too familiar with Grora (which I kinda doubt) or Grora simply doesn't get too close to others, keeping her cool and mysterious appearance.
To the player, I'm sure she seemed like a cool and laid back adult, contrasting Wodahs because opposites attract. She only ever loses her cool when Ater is involved because of the eye incident, which I will talk about later.
But, other than that, we don't know much about her. Being chill isn't an entire personality, especially when we're talking about a literal soldier who lived through the dark war era. Yet, what makes Tgg and dsp's storytelling magnificent is the way they make their stories more than what they seem. During the game, you have a group of cute main characters who are facing danger, but slowly you start to feel something darker creep in the background, not the angry flame demons, but the guardians of their peaceful world hide a lot more than you think.
Therefore, important characters such as Grora, Kcalb, Etihw, the cats and Wodahs-- who is this big question mark-- aren't going to reveal themselves just like that. No, a good writer will drop subtle hints in their mere actions.
Grora literally lost an arm and nearly blew to death for --ah, a certain group of girls. Reincarnations of Etihw's past subordinates. Grora's previous colleagues she had witnessed their deaths and their burial.
She encourages Macarona and is close to Froze for a reason (she hasn't interacted with Chelan as of now, probably didn't have a chance to) ...because of the guilt and the pain she has felt as she saw her previous world fall apart, she wants the descendants of her colleagues to enjoy this new world a d have a wonderful and peaceful life, a life their ancestors would've wanted. And this would make sense, since she's the only character to not explicitly talk about the past, but also the only one to directly compare Froze to Sherbet.
Tumblr media
To sum this up, Grora is a very chill individual who is loved by all, a bit odd sometimes, but still friendly. She is selfless and will fight for what is right, probably due to her past experiences during the war, which she is trying to forget and move on, unlike the rest of the crew. Alas, she can't, for everything reminds her of the terrible old world.
Character Design
Hands down, dsp did the Blancblack crew's designs justice. When it comes to Grora, we could note a few things:
Her current outfit resembles Sherbet/Froze's a bit too much. This may indicate that Sherbet might've had a certain impact on her. I can't say for sure that they were close or not, but he did do something that'll make Grora act the way she does towards Froze.
Missing halo: She is close to Etihw and works under them, no? So why doesn't she wear it? We know it's an accessory, but someone in Grora's position would wear it. For example, Taffy, who is the Head Angel of his world, doesn't wear one because he's not fond of Fumus to begin with, and that includes Olive. All the other Angels don't mind their gods, so they keep the halo. Dsp doesn't need to tell us that, it's logical. Something might've happened between Grora and Etihw, but it's not necessary huge. It could've just altered her point of view or something.
Now, for the war outfit. It is, simply, inspired by Etihw's diamond themed robes. Another thing to note is the tired expression she wore is VERY similar to Etihw's. This might mean that Etihw had a large influence on Grora, and we'll get to their relationship later on.
Tumblr media
Grora's color palette is exactly the opposite of Wodahs', which is a good choice considering that they drastically contradict each other. But it's important to note that Etihw and Kcalb also have opposite color palettes, black and white, dark and light, two past enemies who's mentalities are totally different. It's quite curious of Dsp to design Wod and Grora this way too, no?
Ater and Grora's eye
Grora's grudge against Ater isn't simply a grudge. If she is truly trying to heal and let go of the past, why couldn't she just forgive Ater and heal her eye like Wodahs suggested?
Grora was most likely a fierce warrior, an archer, and having her eye taken out must've been humiliating. A strong and pure being torn down to pieces. That incident was proof of her cowardice. Therefore, the lost eye resembles her lost pride. Finding it again means redeeming herself, but of course, the eye has nothing to do with pride. It's just a distraction.
I may be looking way into this, but it DOES make more sense that way. Same thing goes for Wodahs' eye, but I'll talk about that some other time.
Speaking of Wodahs...
Eyepatch Angels
Whether you ship them platonically or romantically, they're still the best duo and work perfectly together either way.
Based on the events of the game, Wodahs and Grora are close colleagues who always bicker and fight over the most mundane things (Grora is usually the one who starts) yet they make a great team. Grora has a bit of a crush on him because who doesn't but these feelings don't seem reciprocated (Small note: That doesn't mean he doesn't care for her at all, and we barely know what Wodahs is thinking most of the time, so we're not really sure. He's also very dense sometimes)
There isn't much to say about their current relationship for now. What's more interesting is their relationship during the war, and boy oh boy, do I have some news.
Tumblr media
I'm sure we all know this infamous art, the only art featuring them so badass and, so far apart too. They're also facing each others backs, and considering their close relationship, this is bad news. Only enemies are positioned like this, and the high gap resembles how distant they are from each other. That being said, Wodahs and Grora have quite the history. If only dsp could reveal more about them.
Oh, a wild theory has appeared!
Using these observations (specifically Grora's relations to Etihw and Wodahs, and the missing halo) we could come up with some context.
Grora respected and looked up to Etihw, remaining true and loyal to them. At some point, Grora became/was going to be head angel, only for her position next to Etihw was taken by Wodahs, and it angered her.
Etihw most likely paid more attention to him, and ignored Grora. Perhaps they've hurt her in some way, which resulted into a shattered relationship. Sure, everything was fine after Kacalb nuked the world, but memories and past experiences stay.
Well...this speculation is farfetched, but I wanted to share an abridged version of it with you
And that, ladies and gentlemen, includes the analysis thingy. If you've made it here, thank you so much for reading!! And I hope this helped you in some way!
Also, looking at how hard I tried to summarize this, I'm kinda anxious about the Wodahs analysis, since there's a LOT to cover...Haha.

(This is what happens when I don't have my laptop)
This is the original article. Please read for their explanations.
https://screenrant.com/supernatural-dean-castiel-relationship-biggest-plot-holes-make-no-sense/
Tumblr media Tumblr media
20.
Isn't really a thing. His was still talking to one angel. Joshua. In dark side of the moon, he confirms it. Who says the direct order didn't come from Chuck?
19.
Dean wasn't suspicious of Cas, Dean was suspicious, period. He's a Winchester, and if you remember the first person he accused was Sam.
18.
Correction, Castiel was in his celestial form. He spoke to Dean 10 minutes out of his grave, not hiding. Just not in a human vessel and able to communicate. Also, Pamela's eyes were burned out because she was trying to see Cas' true form. He warned her, both Pamela and Cas say that he warned her. Again, no Cas wasn't in his vessel yet. He was still convincing Jimmy to say yes. Otherwise, he would have appeared.
The only people who can hear angels are prophets and people who are part celestial being aka Jack. So Dean being human and all, not really surprising that Cas nearly fried his brain. This is my personal theory. Cas made the assumption that because Dean felt special to him and because he was the vessel that he could or should be able to hear him. However, the Winchester are simply men and Cas realised his mistake and went to get himself a vessel.
17.
Woah woah woah
Hold your horses.
Cas was being hunted. He literally had every Angel and his dog looking for his ass. He was not going to bring that shit to the Winchesters door. There is nothing he loves more than those boys, nothing. Dean was aware of this once Cas made the call. No abandonment simply Cas protecting Dean and Dean protecting Sam.
16.
*coughs* I will explain human relationships to you because you're missing the point. When people totally fuck up, in a biblical sense, those things don't simply go away. Sometimes people need space and perspective. Spending all day, every day in a high-stress environment with someone who is pretty much your opposite in every way is hard on the most balanced of individuals. The Winchesters are not the most balanced of individuals and occasionally they need distance. Cas, like a good friend, fills the space until the boys are back on track.
15.
Wait. So you're acknowledging that Cas was protecting Dean by leaving. Dean who can hold his own against vampires, demons, wraiths etc but will get munched by leviathans. Additionally, Cas would probably get his own ass munched because he'd be so worried about Dean he would become a leviathan snack. So maybe the best plan is to leave Dean (who is super capable at saving his own ass) and take the larger threat away. Yes, good plan Cas.  Very well done.
Sidebar-Cas isn't spiteful. Not sure specifically what refusal to return you're on about but Cas was hunting Metatron for most of season 9 so yeah he felt responsible and yeah he'd be dealing alone because the boys have other shit on.
14.
Love dude. Love.
13.
You know Dean is human right? He's not Chuck. Sam was (as you menationed) going through a rough patch. Then there's family coming back from the dead, Eve, Cas having to go into hiding, alternate realities, time traveling but yeah he's got a second to notice that Cas is heading towards a bad choice with Crowley tugging his sleeve. Dude, what is wrong with you?
12.
You acknowledge that Claire has had a shitty life and now you're denying her a family because you think it's weird. Tell me how is this whole assessment not a) homophobic and b) mean as fuck. Let the girl have a safe place for the love of Chuck. Even if it started out as guilt, they love her and she's family now. She's got a family of people who get her and have her back.
11.
Every time one if them dies is acts as a catalyst, a reminder that they can die. Coming back isn't the point although Dean is kinda hilarious in dark side of the moon 'when I get back, I'm going to be pissed.' When they die, they don't take it for granted. It always feels final and those of us who worship this show feel every death as if its the first. Except for DSOTM which was just funny.
10.
Love dude. Love.
Just to clarify, Cas chooses Dean over and over. To Dean, Cas is the only person that chooses him above everyone, that's reason one why he lets things go. Then you have Cas hitting Dean's radar as innocent. Cas has this child-like quality that means he ducks under many of dean's trust issues (don't be gross) what I mean is when Dean meets a child he regresses. He becomes the person he wanted his dad to be. He is kind and forgiving and lenient. Adults usually don't get this side of Dean but Cas does. Hence forgiveness, always.  Dean forgives Cas because his intention is always pure. He is always trying to do his best.
9.
Please see every Destiel article in existance. Thank you.
8.
*deep breath*
Cas is different. He has always been different, it is mentioned throughout Canon that Cas has always been emotional. Maybe one day they will address why, my personal theory is that Chuck made him that way, just a little bit more feeling than the others and when Cas touched dean's soul in Hell, it lit up his feelings like a Christmas tree. Additionally, Cas sees the Winchesters fighting, they fight and the for humanity, for each other and with them as his role models his moral compass stays slightly truer north than his siblings. Other nice angels include Balthazar, Joshua, Hannah.
7.
I hate to correct you (nah I dont, I love it) but there is no finite, no limitation on their forgivness and its predominantly because of their base personalities. Both Dean and Cas punish themselves more than anyone else ever could. So even when someone else hurts them its never as bad as what they do to themselves. In a way the physical beat downs they give eachother actually strengthen the bond. Every time they fight, one of them stops or walks away. They break the momentum because they love eachother. The love is what stops it, love is the forgivness and they  will always forgive eachother because no-one can punish them more than they do. They are eachothers mirror, they see it. It's another reason why Dean forgives Cas so quickly because Dean knows how bad the angel punishes himself, Dean feels that because he does the same. So he forgives and will continue to do so.
6.
This is simply not true. Dean Winchester doesn't expect anyone to help him ever. He assumes that he is always alone. Exceptions include when Sam is hurt, he asks Cas. Also, if something is bigger and harder than him. If some mystical shit is going down or if angels are involved. If you have a magical being to hand who has aeons of experience then why wouldn't you ask, use, involve them? That's just making your life hard for no reason.
5.
It's called guilt. Google it.
4.
When you love someone, you try to protect them you try to do so even when the things they need protecting from is themselves or you. Yes its annoying and the boys do learn after the fact and yes its inherently frustrating when it takes several episodes for them to realise they should have simply told in the first place. However, for the boys of his a life long habbit that is hard to break and for Cas of his something he has picked up from them.
3.
Dean has fabulous control over his temper. See not killing his grandfather when he really really wanted to. Dean vents when the pressure boils up and over and usualky its relatively painless for those involved. He gets mad and then he gets over it. He's actually very quick to process his anger, unlike his guilt which takes much, much longer. Now Sammy, there's some pent up rage. Less so recently though.
2.
The darkness was messing with Dean constantly throughout season 11. There are multiple scenes where Dean gets a confused expression on his face when talking to Casifer but ultimately he's not sure if he's sure. Most of Casifer's interactions with the boys are brief because Lucifer knows they will figure it out. In addition, Cas says yes in episode 10 and Lucifer reveals himself in episode 14. So... really you're punishing Dean for not noticing in several minor interactions over three episodes. Rude.
1.
Yes they are.
@screenrant just fyi
