Confession time (?)

I am obsessed with MMD videos on YT.

Like, I often find one I really like, and I'll watch it over and over (and over) again for the sheer joy it gives me. But other times, a video will really stick with me and give me Thoughts and Ideas.

I completely get that these videos rely on existing motion/choreography from an existing video, and sometimes that choreography doesn't work for all of the characters (does Idia being OOC in the Butter MMD make me appreciate how spot-on Cater and Lilia are in the same video any less? Hell, no. Cater and Lilia are absolutely the stars of that one.)

But this one. This one. This is probably the most on-the-nose video for Silver and Sebek. Like, this is the one I am most obsessed over.

I don't even know where to start, so my thoughts will be all over the place.

I think Silver and Sebek are chosen perfectly in their respective roles. Silver is more fluid at times, and that makes me think of how he bests Sebek in most of their battles. They both trained in swordsmanship and martial arts under Lilia (still love that Silver's talent is swordsmanship and Sebek's is martial arts, and that both their strengths are things that they both have trained in together).

We know how incredibly strong Sebek is. This is the guy who did all the woodchopping in Harveston. The guy who carried a cotton candy machine to Idia's food stall to have it repaired. The guy who fetched a lanternblossom from a sheer cliff, using only his own strength and no gear, and was able to because Lilia made climb a cliff 10 times a day for three months.

That Sebek.

And yet Silver still bests him more often than not.

So the video had me thinking that, similar to how Vil easily threw Floyd in Camp Vargas, Silver uses more than his physical strength (and we know that he is physically very strong - even before his broomquet interview). I mean, you know that with all the time he and Sebek have spent training together, he can read Sebek, and probably knows what Sebek is going to do before Sebek does it.

But the idea of Silver being more fluid and flexible and using that to his advantage is also, well, kinda sexy, too.

Places in this video that I'm particularly obsessed with is any time the video "zooms in" on their feet (like at 0:34 in the video. Or 1:24. Or 1:53). I don't know what it is about that. The way they move together? The way they are headed in the same direction, or move in sync? I mean, I can see that without focusing on their feet, but there is just something about seeing their feet, I don't know what it is.

(Already have this thing about hands, where one character is touching the other, or they are clasping hands, or one is touching the other's hair. Now it's the way they step together, apparently.)

Side note on their shoes: I just love that Silver wears fucking loafers - something he can slip on easily when he oversleeps, where Sebek wears what looks like a low boot, with the pants covering the tops of them - very sleek looking, very in line with the pains he takes to look his best.

Other spots that make me, for lack of a better term, squee, occur at 1:43, immediately followed by linking arms at 1:50 (and into the shoes again at 1:53). And being back to back at 2:44.

Yeah, I totally get why someone would see that original video and immediately think "Silbek."

Finally, and this must be taken with the veriest grain of salt, because I am 100% relying on the internet and google translate, but I wanted to know the title and lyrics for the song.

And found this explanation which just feels so Silbek to me.

This model was made for Disability Pride Month, which takes place in July. So I made a Menhera Luka to help spread awareness for Mental Health. This model was actually inspired by my friend, @caffeinated-chaos-bean/RainwaterPearls 's Menhera Gumi model. Just in case anyone has a problem with what I did to her hair... I gave her hair streaks because I myself wear Menhera sometimes, and I have bright pink hair streaks in my brown hair and wanted to give this Luka model a little piece of myself. Not just that, but also, KAngel from Needy Girl Overdose is Menhera themed and her wig is multi colored, and I see nowhere that states that hair streaks are not allowed in Menhera. I did my best to make the Menhera style accurate and did lots of research. If I DID mess up anywhere, it was not on purpose and I apologize. Luka is my favorite Vocaloid, and I'm someone who suffers from a plethora of disorders. (Depression, anxiety, cPTSD, etc) So... this model was really important to me to make. Please remember to take care of yourself and show yourself love, and get help if at all possible. I know it's hard and easier said than done, but I believe in you. You can do it. You matter. You are loved. She looks best with self shadow off. (Unless you need it on for certain shader effects then leave it on lol.) She looks alright with edgeline on. Personally, I prefer her with it off, but she doesn't look terrible with it on. Rules: Credit me for the model (ShannaHeart/Strawberry-Metal. I'd prefer you credit both usernames for me, but just ShannaHeart is fine.) No redistribution, I don't trust people doing this anymore, as they never credit me, and my models have been sold before. hello mmd question (This can be answered privately if it is easier)

how does one get the models to uh.. work. i tested it with the makoto/minato model you use but my issue is that its not a pmx or pmd file. did you convert yours to one of those files or am i just doing something wrong?

ALRIGHT SO i use blender with some plugins to convert my models, blender can be a bit tricky to figure out (it took me a while to figure it out akljhsahd) so i'll try my best to explain it akjshsdh

and also i'll make this public since i figured someone might find this useful :3

i'll put this under a readmore bc its kinda long but i hope it helps!! i'm terrible at explaining things aljksasd (i think learnmmd might have an article on this too)

SO. the plug ins i have: mmd tools & xps tools

SO i delete the scene first and then import whichever model i want to convert (xps for this model, but as u can see u can import basically any type)

drag this arrow on the side OUT to reveal the mmd plug in

u get this. click on 'convert model' and then click 'ok' to convert it

'export' will now be available! this works for .dae and .fbx as well, but for fbx u can also use metasequoia if u can afford it (it has a month trial iirc)

they will now load in mmd!! i had to zoom out bc i havent fixed him up in pmx (u WILL need to do that aljsld) but he works :>

also, if they have extra things like this model, removing them in pmx is much easier than in blender (at least for me)

i usually nab the face off of elina002's models for my minato, yu, and yosuke conversions since the xps conversions dont include facials

i'm not sure if converting lazyspongies fbx models in blender will keep the facials because i used meta to convert them, but its worth a shot!!

ALSO i mentioned needing pmxe; u definitely need it for conversions since, as u can see, he is SHINY. he is not supposed to be shiny alusakdhasdkhsd

i can also make a little tutorial for how i fix up models if u want but its incredibly basic (apart from like connecting the face i nabbed to the new model.. that can be a bit difficult sometimes)

[MMD] Returning in 2023 (Notes in Desc.)

So as we moved in to 2023, well I did have some explanation of why my content was really slow in second half of 2022, telling the picture on the left side.

In the middle of the year, I got hired to work at a store, and as the months goes by, it got really busy that I really had less time on doing another videos as I was making another randomness. Once the more and more busy it got, I sometimes felt like I really had less time for myself and procrastinate so much in order to try to get motivated because of how much I had to work for quite long, especially in last 2 months. If you notice why I haven't made any type of video since my vacation video of Golden Apple that included new members of Wacky House, was uploaded, this was why. As of my renders, it barely was posted, like only a few since after Hop's SwSh model DL. The last three months was a chore, especially the holiday season. I never got to make a Christmas video despite having plans for it, and I tried to make three plans for it as each has gotten shorter and shorter, until it was too late, as how long it is to make a MMD video. Plus I made my Randomness 12 too long like 6-7 months, and while I enjoyed making that, my irl has got it to take so long to make, and so I should decide not to make any videos past 5 minutes, with few exceptions. It's just I wanted to show more Iris and other MMD videos and content as time goes on, but the whole plan seem to disappear or delayed so long. It's not that I worked with any content for too long, but moreso motivation getting a bit lost sometimes because of irl job getting in the way. As for myself, while not being related to irl, sometimes I do regret being hard on myself sometimes as I felt like this when things do happen sometimes, so I should stick with being the best myself.

Since we enter 2023, my hopes are to continue doing my content and other 3D models on my free time. As I saw how my job is reducing my work hours finally, there is hope that I would return making contents regularly, and continue my plans. If the irl busy time continues to be low enough from here, I should have a MMD video sometime later this month, depending how long my next one would be, as long as I don't make it too long lol. But yeah hopes to us that my content stays active regularly to my likings this year. I really got interesting stories on my contents! And thanks to those friends and family who sticked with me for the entire year. While 2022 was okay, second half wasn't too bad but not great. Not all what happened there were bad, as I still wanna cover the exciting things that happened to me on a next update video later this month. This week I will post a small new years video! Credits:

Y'all I'm in a writing mood this morning before I go to work later so why not 😂😂

"Eren stop!" "What? I'm not doing anything wrong, I have a bag and everything Miki." "Eren the bag is full, I do not need to try on anymore lingerie," she gives him an unimpressed look as he attempts to fit more sparkly thongs into the already bursting tote bag the Victoria's Secret employee had awkwardly handed them after observing Mikasa drop several bras.

Eren had snatched it from the poor employees hand, thanked her like she was a god and then gone to town, he was even more invested in this than she was. It was utterly ridiculous, she wasn't even buying it for him.

She was buying it for girl's lingerie night. It was this friday, and their first one ever. The event had come to fruition after Annie had complained that Armin didn't appreciate her lingerie enough, he'd look at it for five seconds and then it would be off. For Annie, the lingerie queen, this was irritating, she had many different pieces and she claimed no matter what she wore, it was off in a matter of minutes. Sasha had agreed before rather boldly suggesting they just have a full on lingerie night, and Mikasa who had no lingerie of her own had been roped into it before she even knew what was going on.

She'd had Eren back in her life for a while now, they'd been dating for around six-is months she'd say and in that time he'd broadened her sexual horizons significantly. Very little was off the table when it came to their sex life, you name it and they had probably done it or considered doing it. Eren was a handful to say the least, and she was truly thrilled she'd found him before he could do any more damage to the female population of their university. If he was tying up and degrading anyone during sex it was going to be her damn it!

But one thing she'd never really considered was lingerie. It wasn't something she'd ever thought Eren would be interested in. Like Annie and Sasha could attest to, their fancy undergarments more often than not ended up on the floor and all the money and the difficulty putting the godforsaken underwear on was for nothing.

Hell, Mikasa had once had to help Sasha tie up the back of a corset for Connie, only for Mikasa to find out the next day they'd had to cut it off of her. What a waste.

But she'd brought her dearest boyfriend along lingerie shopping with her anyway, who else would she bring? Eren was the one who loved her body the most, so really he was the perfect person. She just hadn't anticipated him going quite so crazy with it. Hadn't thought he'd be so invested in the colour scheme and what would best push up her boobs the best or how the cut of each kind of underwear would showcase her ass.

But here he is, slapping a pretty nude bra out of her hands like it's offended him, "No Miki that's not your colour it will clash with. your skin. Here this is a better neutral colour," he hands her a pretty pale pink bra with lace trim and no padding.

She scowls, "Eren it doesn't have padding." He gives her a lascivious look, "Baby you don't need padding." She feels her cheeks heat and she scowls, she knows she doesn't need it, she just likes it, likes how it pushes her boobs up just a little bit more. She ignores Eren and grabs a padded one anyway while he fights with her about it.

By the time she wrestles him into the change room they have so many items she doesn't even want to think about how long it's going to take her to try them all on. "Do I have to try it all on?" Eren looks up from his seat in the corner where he's meticulously sorting everything out onto different hooks by colour and fit and gives her a stern look. "Yes Mikasa, you have to try it all." "Fine," she grumbles, beginning to take off her t-shirt, she'd just wanted to come out buy a bra and get some frozen yogurt, not buy the whole fucking store. "I'm only buying two things though, I don't need anymore." Eren audibly gasps and she watches him through the mirror as she shimmies down her jeans, he's not even gasping at the view of her ass either, he's just horrified. "Miki I'm buying, and I'm buying whatever I think you look good in whether you like it or not."

A list of my MANY Draco Headcannons

Draco had an older sister who died a few weeks to a month before his first hear

His sister gave her life to save him, had she not done so, he would've been ran over. He watched her die in the hospital, after a few weeks of being in a ventilator (his father making them take her off of it), meaning he can see Thestrals.

He's bisexual and GNC (No! N O T Nonbinary. He's gender nonconforming, meaning he doesn't conform to gender roles), and is supportive of trans people, he has a younger cousin (the youngest of all his cousins) who is Trans (MtF) and woukd protect that girl with his life.

He finds Harry hot, and is jealous of him, but would not date him because he also hates him.

He can speak MULTIPLE languages, and is fluent in Japanese, he can speak conversational Japanese and can translate advanced slang. He can translate MASA songs, that tells you everything.

He has 3 different accents, he was born in Scotland grew up there for a time, then moved to Australia as a child, and then to Britain so he can do a Scottish, Australian and British accent. However, he cannot so an American accent and hates even attempting it.

He has a lot of exotic pets, a lot of tarantulas, snakes, even a few scorpions. He also has a dog, cat and horses. Of course he'd have horses, my mans he is filthy rich.

We're setting my headcannons in modern day setting, meaning like 2000s era, because it makes my life easier. With that said, as much as he makes himself out to hate all things muggle related, secretly he doesn't hate muggle things, he enjoys them but pretends he hates them because his father forces him to. He has a YouTube channel is amazing at using UTAU, Vocaloid, and other VSynths, he also works on his own VSynth and his own UTAU banks, he also is good at MMD.

so like at the beginning of the pandemic when us seniors in college were all forced to say goodbye at the same time, i was afraid to say goodbye to my roommates who had become my best friends. luckily i had the chance to spend a few more months quarantining with them before we actually had to move out after graduating. and bc of the pandemic i really put my feelings about it on hold cause i was just. not prepared to leave college whatsoever. i dont even like thinking about not being in college because it feels like im literally dead most of the time. (and honestly my memories are scarce for most of my life anyway lol). but i just found a playlist we made of all the mmds and funny videos we used to watch together and now ive just cried my weight in tears after not properly for months. i miss what things used to be like and i hate what my life is now. i want so badly to turn this into a positive but god things are so fucked for me i feel like im trapped. im doomed (peace sign)

Okay, so, I want to preface this by saying I am in no way an art student of any capacity whatsoever, so if there’s an actual proper way of going about this then I do not know of it. There are also a lot of images used here, so I think it’s best if it goes under a readmore.

TL:DR - you summed it up very well by saying that colour-picking and matching off of reference photos is so hard, even when you're working with a 3D model that has the same base texture to go from each time =P

So, here is a screenshot of me picking a skin colour from Aqua’s model from KH3 loaded into PMXe (actually, this might be the one from 0.2 looking at the file dates, but I’m pretty sure her model is the same in both games, since they use the same engine) - this is the model I’ve been using for my most recent MMD renders for my selfship with Aqua. I have also included a screenshot showing the skin texture file of this particular model, as well where I colour-picked from that texture directly.

As you may be able to see - although the order of the two colours is inverted from one screenshot to the other, oops - Aqua's skin appears slightly lighter under the default lighting conditions of PMXe (which I have tested and they're the same as those of MMD itself, it's just that her model has slightly glitchy shadows when there aren't any effects applied to it in MMD so I took the screenshot from PMXe instead), compared to how it actually is on the raw texture file. But, the difference is pretty slight.

Now, to compare, here are some screenshots of Aqua in various scenes in KH3, and I’ve tried to show the approximate overall colour her skin appears in each situation (and have included as much of the screenshots as I can to show what the lighting is like in each one). All of these are being compared to the colour picked from Aqua's MMD model on the menu.

These are all from the same time and area of the game (the Land of Departure), although I think the first one might be from a different source or be of gameplay rather than a cutscene:

Then, here are some more images taken from other scenarios - Destiny Islands (i.e. a beach with a bright sun), the Keyblade Graveyard (which I think is set around sunset), and the official render of Aqua from I think the Ultimania? (which should therefore in theory be pretty default lighting conditions):

As you can see, even when I haven't picked from the absolute lightest areas on Aqua's body, her skin tone is still noticeably a bit lighter in KH3 itself than it is on her MMD model (if not just from eyeballing it, the V value which seems to control brightness is higher for all the official tones than the value for model's texture file). So, I should probably technically correct that on the model's texture files, but then I don't know exactly how to get a fully accurate base skin tone for Aqua from combining all the reference pictures.

The main reason for including all of this is that is raises the question of how do I edit the texture for Aria's skintone (and those of my other self-inserts as well) so that it's accurate to my own?

Since, for example, here are some colours taken from a picture of my arm taken a few months ago in my old house, and then also a couple of pictures that I took tonight (all of them were in the bathroom because that's where the light was brightest, but then I don't know how to correct for that):

You can see I also grabbed some examples of my self-inserts' skin tones from their respective reference models, which I'm now realising may or may not be inaccurate to my own to various extents (although I guess Alectra's being closest might make sense given that her reference model is the one I created most recently?). But then even from here, the question remains of which colour to use to correct them, because I'd like it if they were all the same and were also all the same as my own??

..I've sort of run out of steam a bit here, and also images, but- hopefully all this illustrates why I mentioned this in such an exasperated way. I wish I knew how to go about this properly, but I don't. I'm very glad you were able to figure out those of yourself and your F/Os, though~

I do not associate myself with the Genshin Impact, Fire Emblem, and Fate series RPCs due to past experiences. I’m going to be very selective with these fandoms.

Kae (pseudomonarkaerenea) has also helped me with writing a fair amount of the verses and backstories of my muses in those verses, as we’ve done a lot of plotting over with them in private. This includes ships. Please don’t steal our work. If I find out you have, I will approach you and speak civilly about it.

[MMD] Alola Trip - Day One

Our first time arriving in Alola, and covering the first day here: -Pokefan and his crew left the house and drive all the way to the shuttle stop. -We were freezing cold for 10-15 minutes waiting for our right bus. Our hands were frozen. -My Wacky House members went looking for food when waiting on a gate. All food stores are closed because it was past 10pm, so we got snacks. -In Airplane, the screen in front of each seat has list of movies, and they have Detective Pikachu, and Konata watched Golberts of Fire. (Despite barely seeing Harry Potter 4, I still somehow remember almost every scene when someone is watching it lol) -At one point, some Wackys ate potato chips with Mayonnaise flavor, they first thought it was ok, but then they stopped eating it for being distasteful. -One of them drink Coke to get rid of the taste as best as possible, and other one drinked Orange. -Bea and D.VA didn't eat the chips -Stopped by the airport, grabbed our baggage and went to a shuttle to a car rent. -Turns out to be a large van instead of a truck, with D.VA driving. -With baggages and more than 10 members, the whole van is compacted aside from the driver. They looked a bit squeezed but still had fun looking around while riding lol -Made it to a summer house and had fun looking everywhere as well as visiting our relatives and their place prior to our place XD

Kinda based on my first day of my vacation nearly a month ago lol
