F2P - L2P. My best friend passed away in his sleep on Sunday. I am heart broken. He was the best guy ever. I was lucky enough to share some of the best adventures with him, from sharing a tiny bedroom with the walls falling down on futons that faced each other a foot apart, to getting him a job at Origin in the video game industry and watching him grow and become a leader and mentor with some big game companies. To going on tour and yelling at him to "shut up and drive!", moving to San Francisco together to making up a band called Big Fun and printing posters with the previous days date and having people tell us they saw the show and too many punk rock shows to count. I love Chris like a brother. All last week I kept thinking I needed to call him and never did...now I will never get to speak to him again and that hurts. I hope you all find a friend like Chris. Ahhhh O carnaval

Minha primeira experiência com a festa da carne, foi quando ainda criança, meus pais permitiram visitar o centro da minha cidade onde a folia acontecia.

Para minha surpresa, eu vi um homem negro, muito feliz, balançando uma bandeira, como ele era bem escuro, o que chamam hoje de "retinto", antigamente era negão, azulão, por aí... A sua fantasia simples se sobressaía pela cor que dominava todo o tecido: Um vestido rosa pink, aquele rosa da pantera cor de rosa.

_Olha lá, um homem vestido de mulher!

Meu irmão explicou que essas coisas eram comuns no carnaval.

Tanto, que mesmo com a perseguição progressista contra algumas fantasias, o bloco das piranhas continua firme e forte.

Afinal, qual a fantasia mais barata que a roupa da esposa ou da irmã e vestir?

Não me apaixonei pelo carnaval, ir à rua criança era chato. Não me fantasiava, e limitava a ficar de pé, parada.

Mais velha, a bagunça me trouxe ainda mais antipatia pela festa. Mesmo adolescente, o assédio era grande. Homens passando a mão, você empurrar com delicadeza e sair correndo do lugar. Reagir com mais força poderia ser mais perigoso para as mulheres.

Não gosto de samba.

Mas houve momentos em que me diverti, quando em um dos locais do centro de Bel, estavam tocando rock. Foi o meu único bom carnaval. Nem na única vez em que eu viajei, me diverti. Perdi até a amizade. Foi um pesadelo.

Pela primeira vez, não vou torcer pela minha escola de samba, a Beija-flor. Esse ano será o carnaval da vingança, pois Bolsonaro diferente dos outros presidentes, não encheu o rabo dos sambistas e cantores de axé com o suado dinheiro público do brasileiro. E a Beija-flor levara um tema para a avenida criticando o presidente e os patriotas.

Mesmo que um carro alegórico pegue fogo, que ocorra atraso de horas, que fantasias rasguem e caiam durante o desfile, temo que ela será campeã.

Hoje, nem assistir os desfiles pela TV.

O carnaval é promiscuidade, é violência e hipocrisia.

Roma teve o coliseu (panis et circence).

O Brasil tem o carnaval...

My first experience with the meat festival was when I was still a child, my parents allowed me to visit the center of my city where the festivities took place.

To my surprise, I saw a black man, very happy, waving a flag, as he was very dark, what they call "retinto" today, in the past he was bigblack, big blue, like that… His simple costume stood out for the color that dominated all the fabric: A rose pink dress, that rose of the pink panther.

_Look there, a man dressed as a woman!

My brother explained that these things were common at carnival.

So much so that even with the progressive pursuit of some fantasies, the piranha block remains firm and strong.

After all, what costume is cheaper than the wife's or sister's clothes to wear?

I didn't fall in love with carnival, going to the street as a child was boring. I didn't dress up, and just stood there, still.

Older, the mess brought me even more dislike for the party. Even as a teenager, the harassment was great. Men passing their hand, you gently push and run from the place. Reacting more strongly could be more dangerous for women.

I do not like samba.

But there were times when I had fun, when at one of the venues in downtown Bel, rock music was playing. It was my only good carnival. Not even the only time I traveled did I have fun. I even lost friendship. It was a nightmare.

For the first time, I'm not rooting for my samba school, Beija-flor. This year will be the carnival of revenge, because Bolsonaro, unlike other presidents, did not fill the ass of sambistas and axé singers with the Brazilians' hard-earned public money. And Beija-flor had taken a theme to the avenue criticizing the president and the patriots.

Even if a float catches fire, if hours are delayed, if costumes tear and fall during the parade, I fear she will be the champion.

Today, not even watching the fashion shows on TV.

Carnival is promiscuity, violence and hypocrisy.

Rome had the coliseum (panis et cirence).

Brazil has carnival…
