Join us in fundraising for abortion access in honor of Pedro Pascal’s 48th birthday!

We’re raising money for the Kentucky Health Justice Network, an abortion fund in Kentucky, to celebrate Pedro’s upcoming birthday. Each spring, abortion funds across the United States participate in the National Network of Abortion Funds’ Fund-a-Thon, the biggest fundraising drive of the year for abortion access. We’ve set up a fundraising team for KHJN, Pedro Fans 4 Abortion Rights, and invite you do donate to help us reach our goal!

Who are you?

We’re Cristina @pedropascalsx and Leslie @leslie-lyman two Pedro fans who are also passionate about reproductive justice.

How can I get involved?

You can donate via the Pedro Fans 4 Abortion Rights team to the Kentucky Health Justice Network here: https://fund.nnaf.org/team/488084. You do not have to join the team as a member to donate to the team’s fundraising effort, the team just lets us keep track of how much total money we’ve raised (kinda like a GoFundMe). All of your money goes directly to the fund; we do not handle donations directly, and have no access to your financial or personal info.

Can I donate anonymously?

Yes! Just make sure you check the “Hide my name from the public” box when filling out the donation form.

What is your fundraising goal?

We’re starting out with a goal of $480 since Pedro is turning 48. If we hit that goal, we’ll increase it!

Why an abortion fund?

Abortion is health care, and abortion rights are human rights. Last year, the US Supreme Court overturned Roe v Wade, erasing the federal right to abortion that had existed for the past 50 years. Since last summer, abortion access has been outright banned in 13 states and severely restricted in many others, with devastating consequences for pregnant people across the country.

Pedro has always been vocal about his support for all kinds of social justice, including abortion rights. He even posted about how to support abortion access, including donating to abortion funds, on his Instagram shortly after the Dobbs decision (https://www.instagram.com/p/CffboxVpneY/?igshid=YmMyMTA2M2Y=). Funding abortion is more important than ever before, and we wanted to fundraise for a cause that we support, that Pedro supports, and that will go towards ensuring access to a fundamental human right.

Why the Kentucky Health Justice Network?

After the overturning of Roe v Wade, abortion became completely illegal in Kentucky, with only very narrow exceptions for the life of the mother. The Kentucky Health Justice Network does incredible work helping people access abortion across state lines. They also help transgender Kentuckians access gender-affirming care at a time when trans folks are under increasing attack, including by the Kentucky state legislature, and Pedro, as we all know, has been outspoken in his support for the LGBTQ+ community and has a very personal connection to the cause of protecting trans rights. (One other fun connection: Pedro also played Agent Jack “Whiskey” Daniels in Kingsman: The Golden Circle, a movie set partially in Kentucky.)

Another year, another birthday! As always, every year I try to redraw an old piece of mine to celebrate! This year, I've redraw the very first thing I ever made in Firealpaca! Nidoking on a snowy mountain! I hope you're as happy with it as I am!

The original is from 2019! At this point I was moving away from mspaint for the first time in my life (a late bloomer I know lol). And I think by this point I was probably still using a mouse to draw instead of a tablet! I think I've come a long way since then!

As for me at the moment? Stuff is interesting for sure. Things has been a little tough this year, what with moving and being extremely broke all year long. It's looking like I'll be moving again soon too, but hopefully this next move will be the last for a while. And in addition to that, being 25 already is sort of getting me. I've wasted my 20's on Covid! It's frustrating! But at the same time I'm trying to make the most of things. I'm working on a LOT of projects, have tons of ideas for personal projects that I will hopefully get done soon. Once Upon An Adventure is going slow but it is going! And I'm still being asked to help on tons of different things which means the absolute world to me. And while things are tough, things are getting better. I have a car now so I'm not feeling completely stuck all the time. I'm going out to conventions and meeting new people more which has been helping me feel so much better (I NEED TO BE AROUND PEOPLE!!! I LOVE OTHERS). And I'd like to make an effort to reconnect with some people soon if I can. Like I said, it's tough, and I'm getting a little self conscious about my age. But I'm making strides to do things better and I'm gonna keep making strides to be happier. And, there's still so much time to make so many things. I feel more creative right now than I've been in a while, I want to work on SO much and have so many ideas for so many things that they're getting in the way of each other! So I thank you all so much for all the support you've given me over the years, and I hope you look forward to all the new stuff I make going forward!!

Welcome the 2024 (10th) Cate Blanchett Birthday Project!

Every year, for the past 10 years I’m collaborating Cate Blanchett fans together in order to make something special for her birthday. And I am super excited to say that we have made 9 successful birthday projects together which has ALL arrived to Cate.

Cate Blanchett has influenced me and many more people through the years and this project is my way to say: Thank You. This year the project will surround MUSIC.

I think that one of the most influential things we have in life is music. Music is a tool to connect ourselves and to express things we cannot do with words.

This year, we will share a song with Cate. A song that means a lot to us and we want to tell her something with.

All you need to do, is to pick a song and send ONE sentence about why you chose this particular song.

HOW DO YOU CHOOSE THE RIGHT SONG? - GUIDNESS

The song has inspired you to go for your dreams just the way Cate does.

The song can help you express your graduate to Cate

The song can show how her words made you think or feel differently about something - and made you act a new way.

Some important points:

Send one sentence about the song only.

It can be a song in your native language but make sure you do translate the name

The final project will be a playlist that is all dedicated to Cate & A card with your sentences about the songs you picked.

THE FINAL PROJECT WILL BE POSTED ONLINE: So don't get too personal. Everyone who wants to see the project, will be able to do so. 

How does it work?

Send an email with your Name, Age & Country

Mention in the email if you joined any of the past projects and if yes mention the year

Send your picked song (with a Youtube/ Spotify/ Apple-Music link to it) & your sentence.

It's that time of year once again; Jamie's 51st birthday is coming!

As ever we are putting together another little birthday video and we’d like as many fans as possible to take part!

Every year on my birthday, I try to redraw an old piece of mine as a sort of present to all of you to celebrate! For this year, I've decided to redraw my very first commission ever! Plague Knight, but specifically in a cool pose! This was so much fun to revisit!

Right, and I also wanted to talk a little bit about life and what not really quick since I also don't think I did this last year. Yeah! Another year come and gone! That's wild. I'll be honest, things have been very tough lately especially with covid and stuff. I've been struggling a bit as things have just been pretty bad at home lately. But I'm pulling through and making it day by day. In particular lately I've been very self conscious about my art and skills lately. But I think the fact that stuff like Axel the Alligator can still come to me even now when I'm just feeling very low about my creativity and talent is a good sign that I do still have what it takes to come up with cool stuff I genuinely like. And also I particularly really wanted to just take some time to thank both SeafloorGames and CloudyGamesLLC for bringing me on board to their game projects over the past few years. While I'm sulking around about stuff I think it's completely flown over my head how wonderful it's been to actually get to work on two different indie games recently. Not only designing SUPER fun protagonists and other concepts for their games, but even getting to draw in game assets and learning various new skills along the way. It means a lot that both of them were willing to take a chance on me despite being unproven and I really haven't thanked them enough. These have both been a blast to work on, and moonlight pulse is, if i'm not mistaken, the first game not made for me where I designed a character for? Plus I realize that these games have already helped me achieve dreams of owning a toy of a character I designed and see fanart of something I designed. It's all happening in real time and when I take a step back from being so sad over silly stuff, it really is amazing to see and makes me extremely happy. So thank you again to both directors for having me as their drawing-guy and thank you all so much for all your love and support over the years! I'm hoping to get things moving again soon if possible and I hope you'll all be there to see me draw scalies for many years to come!!
