For all my fellow name nerds out there, I am very pleased to present the second annual "Gloyd Roberson Memorial List of Actual Human Children Who Wrote Letters to Santa in 1920s/30s Oklahoma".
These aren’t all necessarily “weirder than Gloyd” but fall into three rough categories which I’ve dubbed: “that’s got a nice ring to it”, “if I used this in a novel it would be considered too unrealistic” and “you’ve got 5 seconds to name a character that lives in 1920s Oklahoma, GO!”:

DUNCOMBE PARK
Hi guys!!
I'm sharing Duncombe Park. This is the 8th building for my English Manors Collection, and I will add many more!
House History: Duncombe Park is the seat of the Duncombe family who previously held the title Earls of Feversham. The title became extinct on the death of the 3rd Earl in 1963, since when the family have continued to hold the title Baron Feversham.
The house was completed in 1713 for Thomas Duncombe (born Thomas Brown) to designs by the Yorkshire gentleman-architect William Wakefield. It was remodelled in 1843 by Sir Charles Barry. In 1879 the main block was gutted by fire and remained a ruin until 1895 when rebuilding was carried out by William Young. The reconstruction was based on the original design, though there were changes made, especially in the interior layout to meet contemporary needs. It is of two storeys with a basement and attic.
In 1694 Charles Duncombe, one of the richest commoners in England, bought the 40,000-acre (16,000 ha) Helmsley estate, occasionally staying at the castle. After his death in 1711 it passed to his sister Ursula and from her to her son Thomas Brown, who changed his name to Thomas Duncombe and commissioned the building of the present house. On his death in 1746 it passed to his son, Thomas Duncombe II, who extended the grounds to include the Rievaulx Terrace. In 1774, Anne Duncombe, daughter of Thomas Duncombe of Duncombe Park was married to Robert Shafto, of Whitworth Hall, near Spennymoor, County Durham, the famous "Bonny Bobby Shaftoe" of the folk song.
In the late 1700s the estate was owned by Thomas' son, Charles Slingsby Duncombe, who was succeeded in 1803 by his eldest son and heir Charles Duncombe, 1st Baron Feversham. Charles was MP for Shaftesbury, Aldborough, Heytesbury and Newport IoW and High Sheriff of Yorkshire for 1790–91. He built up a considerable art collection at the house and was made 1st Baron Feversham in 1826. His son William succeeded him and was MP for Yorkshire and after 1832 for the new North Riding constituency. William's son William Ernest was created the 1st Earl of Feversham. The second Earl was killed in the First World War and the earldom became extinct on the death of the third earl in 1963.

This house fits a 64x64 lot and features a great room, a formal dining room and a daily breakfast room, a great library, his and hers bedrooms, a great staris, a ballroom, and many others!.
This time I decorated most of the rooms for picture purposes, but as allways, you can make it your own!
The groung floor is suposed to be for service, and it is not finished. Nor are the side structures, that are actually for decorative purpose as I could not fit the real structure in the lot.
The main house could fit a 50x50 and a 50x40 lot aswell, but you will lose the decorative sides.
Hope you like it.
Be warned: I did not have the floor plan for the 2nd floor nor pictures of most of the inside and worked on an old proposed floorplan for the residence.
You will need the usual CC I use: all of Felixandre, The Jim, SYB, Anachrosims, Regal Sims, TGS, The Golden Sanctuary, Cliffou, Dndr recolors, etc.
Please enjoy, comment if you like it and share pictures with me if you use my creations!
Early access: August 15.

//Showrunner pick//
I’d like to see them choose a showrunner that has done a lot in the horror/thriller space like Kripke that can bring in more depth to create an elevated revival. Robbie was just too inexperienced and lacked overall storytelling experience for a full series. The others that have gone on to produce other series like Gamble, Carver, Edlund would be my choices IF my selection were previously connected to supernatural.
But it would be great if they chose a more experienced producer/screenwriter that’s done more in film than TV in this genre, and a revival of a tv series may interest them. People like Bobby Roe or Patrick Durham would be my pics.
I hope someone asks this question to J2 at an upcoming con. Jared has a few cons coming up!! Someone ask!
I was very hesitant about Kripke being showrunner despite Jensen's enthusiasm because Kripke wanted such a dark and bleak ending. His original ending was Sam going dark and Dean killing him, then them both jumping into the cage together.
While I love Gen V and The Boys, Kripke's love of shock and gore can be a bit off-putting and when he made the comment that Dean might vote for Trump, I feel like he has a different view of Dean.
Then something was said in a m&g that made me feel better about Kripke as showrunner, although my pick would be Yockey or Edlund as both are experienced at show running. I think someone can be a great writer, but bad at showrunning.
They might also pair one of their experienced showrunners from another show they've done with an experienced writer.

Rolling Stone Magazine Top 200 Singers - The Omissions List
Once in awhile, I’ll do a music themed blog post and boy do I have a post for you. Rolling Stone Magazine opens 2023 with a list that no one asked for. Their 200 Singers list is an all time low for the once flourishing magazine. When you include auto-tuned singers like Billie Eilish, Taylor Swift, Beyonce, Ariana Grande, Lana Del Ray and dull as dishwater singers (again, my opinion) like Morrissey, Courtney Love, Michael Stipe, Bono, Bruce Springsteen and Eddie Vedder, you lose credibility in my book. Here are the singers of different backgrounds, genres, and vocalizations (in alphabetical order) that Rolling Stone failed to include on their inept list:

I like Robert "Bobby" Kennedy Jr. He's not my choice for 2024, but I do like him----- and not just because he spoke out against rewarding Sparry and wife for being lying idiots---- but because he is a decent human being (aside from his green religious tendencies).
What DNC, Inc is doing to him is wrong, but expected. No surprise because they did the same to Bernie for Hillary & also to Bernie (& Tulsi) for Biden. These shenanigans should be illegal. Unfortunately GOP 🤡 Incorporated isn't any better. They also mastered the art of selecting a "corporate" candidate----that is until Trump (the populist) used a work-around to disrupt their scheme. That's the reason the uniparty is working hard to "GET TRUMP. They must remove him as a choice. In the eyes of warmongers & human traffickers: when we the people are given the freedom to choose, we choose wrong.
Ironically they did the same to JFK. Seems they'd rather not make a martyr out of Trump----instead, populism must be destroyed via lawfare.
Here are 3 RFK Jr candidate interviews:

Celebrating Black History Month: Oscar Peterson
Tumblr media
Born: in Montreal, Quebec on August 15, 1925
Died: in Mississauga, Ontario December 23, 2007
Oscar Peterson was a Canadian jazz pianist, composer and educator who is considered one of the greatest jazz pianists of all time.
He was raised in the poor St. Henri neighbourhood of Montreal, also known as Little Burgundy. Oscar Peterson has 4 siblings. His parents hailed from the British Virgin Islands and St. Kitts. His mother, Kathleen, was a domestic worker. His father, Daniel, was a boatswain in the Merchant Marines and then a porter with the Canadian Pacific Railway.
Oscar began playing trumpet and piano at age 5. He focused solely on piano at age 8 following a year-long battle with tuberculosis. Oscar’s first instructor was his sister, Daisy.
Peterson's early influences included jazz pianists such as Art Tatum, Nat King Cole, and Teddy Wilson. He began his professional career in the 1940s, playing with jazz bands in Canada and the United States. His first big break came in 1949, when he was invited to play with the Norman Granz Jazz at the Philharmonic tour.
In the 1950s, Peterson formed his own trio, which included bassist Ray Brown and guitarist Herb Ellis. The trio became one of the most successful and influential jazz groups of the era, performing and recording together until 1957. Peterson then formed a new trio with bassist Sam Jones and drummer Bobby Durham, which also gained great success.
He was renowned for his remarkable speed and dexterity, meticulous and ornate technique and dazzling, swinging style. He earned the nicknames “the brown bomber of boogie-woogie” and “master of swing.” By virtue of his many world tours he has become Canada's musical ambassador. He is a staunch champion of the equality of ethnic minorities.
Peterson recorded more than 200 albums and received numerous awards, including eight Grammy Awards. He collaborated with many other jazz musicians, including Count Basie, Dizzy Gillespie, and Ella Fitzgerald. Peterson is among the handful of jazz greats who resided outside the United States throughout his career.
He was made an officer of the Order of Canada in 1972, and promoted to Companion, its highest rank, in 1984. He was also a member of the Order of Ontario, a Chevalier of the National Order of Quebec, and an officer of the French Ordre des Arts et des Lettres. He also received numerous other honors from around the world.
