Zeus is a shit parent, obviously. His brothers are better parents obviously.
Here’s the examples of the ones from blood of zeus (from the main 3 godly children that were on screen, srs the others got nothing)
Apollo - kept Zeus from getting caught by Hera, probably preventing the conflict from happening earlier, and yet no thank you or nothing, not shocking Zeus is a dick. Saved Hermes from probable death from a dangerous job and got tossed into the fucking ocean, a sun god, in water. Poseidon being the better brother, and brought him to Olympus…….. Zeus said and did nothing, probably still pissy at Hera for shanking him in the neck. Probably deals with Hera being pissy he and the others are Zeus’s bastard children
Hermes - literally delivers all of his messages and findings on top of delivering souls to Charon, again, no appreciation. Definitely deals with Hera calling him a bastard child. Agreed to spy on Hera, who probably knew that was gonna happen, and nearly got killed (probably murder attempt) by Ares for it (thank you Apollo). Immediately ran up to Olympus, after that (possible) murder attempt to save Zeus’s ass from getting killed by Hera, he definitely would’ve got stabbed again. And bc it’s Zeus, no appreciation.
Ares - the punching bag of Zeus, ‘oh Hera found smth out must be Ares, let me throw a lighting bolt at him and find out’. No you idiot, Hera found out by herself and was already aware. Always on his mothers side because 1) his old man can’t keep it in his pants and 2) (hc) he probably had to deal with the aftermath of finding out her husband is a cheating dick each time.
Now Hephaestus was barely on but he’s clearly under appreciated, that mf Zeus was destroying his robots left and fucking right as a lesson, on the other hand his owl robot (forgot the name) is so fucking cute.
This is just the examples from BOZ, I liked the show overall but making Hera the antag and a jealous bitch was a bad choice. You could’ve made her the villain because her husband, who’s also her brother, fucking assaulted her and she married him to hide that fact. Also the fact her husband can’t keep his shriveled dick in his fucking chiton. :) fuck you Zeus.

Hera x reader (trust) - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
the last thing Hera could remember was landing on the ground on a field after escaping the battle with her life and one less arm. when she awoke she was on a pile of fabrics as a makeshift bed, her arm bandaged and cared for. she felt someone run a damp cloth on her forehead, and she slowly opened her eyes to look at whoever was there. "who.. are you" she asked. "my name is y/n. i found you in the field near my home." you say with a smile dabbing the cloth along her face. "may I ask how you got so injured?" you ask. she pauses "A battle. and a foolish decision made out of anger" she whispers. you look at her with sympathy, and you put the cloth down. "there is some fruit on the table if you are hungry, you are welcome to stay as long as you'd like" you say. she gives you an untrusting look. "why are you helping me?" she asks, "because you are hurt, I'm not just going to leave you to die" you answer "I show up in a field without part of my arm, in attire that is far from what you've seen in your life and you trust that I won't hurt you" she scoffs. "I figured that i wouldn't push into your past. from what I assumed you were some kind of queen on the run or hiding from someone" you say. "i am a queen." she mumbles. "i am the goddess Hera" she states. you look at her in amazement. "I've never met a real goddess before, better yet the queen of the gods. should I um bow or curtsy?" you ask a bit in shock. hera smirks "Yes, I'd quite like that" You smile a bit and curtsy making her laugh. "You quite a strange mortal aren't you? i don't believe I've seen one so naive and trusting before" she says. "if i wasn't so trusting you would've been eaten by whatever predator came." you laugh. she looks at you a little strangely, and you stop laughing and go back to a normal expression "I'm not the best at making jokes" you say. "i can tell" she says bluntly. "wait, if you the queen of the gods why aren't you on olympus? Isn't your family going to be worried?" you ask. she stays silent, a single tear forming. "im not sure im welcome" she says with sadness. "what happened?" she doesn't answer. you decide not to push her further. "im going to go to town and grab some things from the market, you can stay here as long as you would like." you tell her before leaving. she stares at the spot you stood before leaving and then returns her gaze to the ceiling. thinking about her choices.

Hello, I just watched Blood of Zeus and I was wondering if I could request headcanons of the gods where they have watched over and fell in love with a mortal who is warrior who protects others but has a heart of gold 💙
It has been so long since I’ve had a BoZ request!! Omg 😱 thank you so much!! 💕
I added the gods who had major speaking roles or who were front and center in the more action-y scenes
Tumblr media
Apollo - he’s so smitten by you and all that you do and loves admiring your battle prowess
Zeus - curious and immediately wants to get to know you
Hera - to pique the Queen of Olympus’s curiosity is no easy task, yet she scries to constantly see you fight or just what you do in the domestic hold
Hermes - eagerly rushes to wherever you are fighting and can’t help but disguise himself just to see you
Ares - thinks you’re a bit of a show off yet can’t help but always keep track of you and admire you
Hades - has noticed the more influx of souls since your battles and has to see for himself, an armored flower as he liked to call you
Aphrodite - admires your form and tenacity, eager to make plans to see and talk to you soon
Dionysus - it’s not the wine that makes him blush but admiring your form and happy-go-lucky ness that complements his
Poseidon - perhaps he could learn a thing or two from you as he peers from the waters when you wash after a victory

Blood of Zeus Fic
I’m not sure how I feel about it, but I finally got another part of the Hera’s Daughter!ReaderxHeron fic out. I need to get the angst out of the way to get to the cute stuff haha.
But for now, Reader gets caught in the crossfire of the battleground that is Zeus and Hera’s marriage.
Image from Google.
-
You had to speak with Zeus.
It was not often that you sought out the King of Olympus’s company – generally speaking, the two of you rarely interacted without Mother present. But if Mother knew about you sneaking off Olympus to see Heron, then you had to assume Zeus had become aware as well.
All of Olympus – indeed probably all of Greece – had seen Zeus’s display last night – sending lightning to destroy the demons ships, to save his latest bastard from certain death. The marble halls were filled with grumbles and whispers, everyone speculating what would come next and whether the boy – Heron – would be brought to Olympus, like all the others had been.
Your sandaled feet clapped against the marble floors as you reached the door to Zeus’s perch. Courtesy dictated that you knock before entering the King of the Gods personal sanctuary, but days of fretting had frayed your nerves and instead you placed both hands on the large, ornate doors and shoved hard. The massive frames groaned noisily across the floor as the cool evening air brushed against your face and you pushed outside, your gaze immediately landing on Zeus.
He was leaning over the wall that looked down on the cloud cover, a glass of ambrosia in his hand, his pensive expression morphing into one of genuine surprise as he turned to see you enter.
…You had not particularly planned on what you would say once you had actually arrived, and for a brief few seconds you stood there in silence. Zeus did the same, his lightning blue eyes studying you with mild caution.
“…good evening.” The King said finally, briefly raising his glass in your direction.
Words tumbled around your mind like leaves in a hurricane, and when you opened your mouth they made their rather frantic escape. “I have been sneaking off Olympus.”
Zeus stared at you blankly.
“…I have met Heron.” You gripped the sides of your dress, knuckles turning white. “…several times. I met Electra too. Ares knows. Mother knows. I…You…”
Zeus shifted in place, his expression somewhere between deeply uncomfortable and faintly amused.
“…you…you know this already, don’t you?”
He nodded slightly, and for a while you simply stood there, staring at his face until something clicked in your mind and you felt like a fool. “You…you are the old man….”
Zeus took a moment to sip from his chalice, before softly clearing his throat. “…yes.” He lowered it to the nearby table, before rubbing his hands over his bearded face, looking more tired than you had ever seen him. “I will confess, I had not expected to see you approaching Electra’s home with Heron. The Fates have an….interesting sense of humour.”
The day you had met Heron, you had wandered back to his home with him after leaving the market, and had seen the Old Man – Zeus – watching you from the window. “You knew it was me?”
Zeus barked out a short laugh. “Well, yes. You did not look at all different than usual. Just…mortal sized.”
You needed to sit. You stumbled into the nearest kline, what felt likes weeks’ worth of exhaustion falling on your head. You buried your face in your hands, and faintly felt Zeus’s presence cautiously come beside you.
“…I did not tell your mother, for what it is worth.”
“Of course you didn’t.” You muttered, squeezing your eyes shut behind your palms. “Then you would have had to explain what you were doing there.”
Zeus gave a self-deprecating laugh, before taking another large gulp from his chalice. “That…that is also true.”
You both sat in silence for a while after that.
“…I suppose you must be eager to see him.” Zeus said finally, and you groaned into your hands.
“Am I that obvious?”
Zeus actually laughed at that, his large hand coming to gently pat your shoulder. “I have been young and in love before, believe it or not. I do recognise the look of it.”
“With Mother?” The question tumbled from your lips before you realised it. Zeus looked surprised, his eyes sliding away from you to peer over the balcony, into the clouds below.
“…yes.” He said finally after a few seconds of silence, a note of wistfulness in his voice. “We…were all a little younger then, I suppose.”
You had heard stories of the Great War with the Titans, of course, but Mother had made you long after that. You had never seen her and Zeus as anything other than what they were now. It was a difficult thing to imagine them as something else, something happier.
“Did you….” The question rolled impatiently on your tongue, and Zeus’s gaze flickered back to you. “Did you love her? Electra?”
Zeus’s entire face seemed to dim, a flash of guilt in his eyes. “…yes. I did.”
“…and Mother?”
Zeus stared down at you, his hand frozen to your shoulder. His somewhat startled expression melted into one of deep thought, and he was quiet for a moment. “…would you believe me if I said yes?”
Your fingers picked at the edges of your dress, but you kept your eyes firmly on the King’s. “That depends.” You straightened your back slightly. “Would you be telling the truth?”
Zeus’s lips quirked upwards. His large hand gave your shoulder a soft squeeze. “You sound like-“
“What are you doing?”
Your head snapped around towards the door. Zeus’s hand retreated from your shoulder as though it had been scolded. Hera stood at the doorway, her gaze fixed on Zeus, face twisted in anger.
Your stomach dropped. “Mother-“
“We’re going. Now.” Hera marched over to you, grabbing you wrist and tugging you sharply to your feet.
“Going?” You nearly tripped as Hera pulled you along, bewildered. “Going where-?”
Zeus frowned and rose from the bench, his chalice forgotten. “She can remain if she wishes-“
Hera barked out a hard, incredulous laugh, completely devoid of humour. “You would love that, wouldn’t you?” She spun to face Zeus, almost causing you to tumble into her. “Do not think I don’t know what you are thinking-“
“I am not-“
“Mother, please, where-“
“You think I will leave her with you?” Hera snarled, voice growing vicious and so very, very angry. “So you and your bastard can take turns? Or perhaps you are planning to share? What a delightful welcome for him. Father and son, defiling her body together as well as her mind-“
Zeus’s eyes narrowed, his frown turning sharp. “Now you are just being vulgar-“
Hera’s eyes grew wide, her jaw slackened as though Zeus had slapped her. “Vulgar?” Her voice grew higher. “Vulgar-?!”
Your head was spinning, your wrist was beginning to hurt in Hera’s vice-like grip, but your mother’s words struck you like a clap of thunder. “Welcome?” The King and Queen turned to you suddenly, as though they had forgotten you were there. Mother’s eyes grew wide as you tried to tug your hand free. “Heron is here?” You looked up at Zeus, who rubbed the back his neck almost sheepishly. “You did not think to tell me that?!”
“I thought you must have been told!” Zeus protested, his eyes darting towards Hera. “I thought that was why you had come here. Your mother has been scheming against me. She manipulated events to kill Electra, has rallied half of Olympus against me-“
“You bastard-“
“-and her price for peace was Heron’s head.”
You felt as though ice cold water had been thrown over you.
Hera released her hold on you, the air around her suddenly charged, winds tearing across the space around you as she moved to shove Zeus’s chest. He stumbled briefly, but quickly regained his footing, and you swore you felt the palace itself shake the two rulers of the Heavens seethed at each other.
“Have you not taken enough from me?!” Hera nearly screamed, the ground cracking as she stormed towards Zeus, marble and stone rendered feeble in the face of her rage. “My dignity, my throne, now you want to steal my daughter-“
“That’s not true.” You grabbed your mother’s arm, shaking it to get her attention. She whipped around to face you, eyes wide. “You wouldn’t…Mother, that….”
Even as you struggled to form the words, they rang hollow. Heron was hardly Zeus’s first bastard. Electra hardly the only lover he’d taken. It always ended the same, with blood spilled, Zeus falling into another bed, Hera’s heartbreak and rage falling on someone else.
Heron’s face flashed in your mind, Electra’s blood seeping into the ground, the Demon General standing over her-
“You can’t.” You gripped Hera’s wrist tighter. “Mother, you can’t. Heron hasn’t done anything wrong. He-“
Hera’s looked shocked, wresting out of your grip. “You’re taking his side?” She cried, pointing angrily at Zeus.
“I am not-“ You shook your head, refusing to back down. “This isn’t about sides. Heron doesn’t deserve to die! Neither did Electra! It wasn’t-“
“This is your fault.” Hera twisted away from you, her teeth bared in Zeus’s direction. “You and your bastards, all of them, you’ve poisoned her against me-“
“Mother, listen to me! This is wrong!”
Hera shook her head furiously. “You don’t understand. You couldn’t possibly. We’re leaving for the Underworld. Now.”
“I won’t.” You pulled your arm back as Hera reached for it. “I won’t go.”
Hera looked shocked for a moment, before a dark cloud came over her expression, one that made your hair stand on end. “Yes, you will.” She hissed.
“I don’t want to!”
“I don’t care!” Hera shouted, the air cracking around her. “I am your mother! You will do as I say!”
“I won’t!” You heard your voice rising, adrenaline pulsing through your veins. “And I won’t forgive you if you do anything to Heron!”
“Forgive me…?” Hera looked as though you had struck her. “Forgive me?” Emotions danced across her face, bewilderment, hurt, then cold, icy rage. “You defend Zeus’s bastard over your own mother, and you think I need your forgiveness?”
“I’m not…” Tears stung your vision, your head and chest ached horribly, a cold, dark feeling deep in your belly. “You can’t-“
“Do you think your pet bastard would forgive you if he knew?” Hera demanded, her voice low and hard as stone. “That you had lied to him? That your mother helped kill his own?”
“Hera.” Zeus finally spoke, his broad back suddenly blocking your vision. “Enough.”
Hera hissed something at him. Then you saw her long dark hair flicking in the wind, her sandaled feet clapping against the ground. “Why don’t we ask him?”
You felt as though icy cold water had been thrown on you, watching Hera’s back retreat through the doors, numbness soaking into your bones. “Wait…” Panic squeezed your chest like a vice. “Wait, wait, stop, Mother, stop-!”
You pushed past Zeus and ran after her, but by the time you caught up, Hera was already in the gardens, her presence as fearsome as a hurricane. You ran towards her, Zeus at your back, just as her gaze landed on where Apollo, Hermes and Artemis sat, a familiar head of dark hair amongst them. Heron’s face briefly filled your vision, his expression painted with confused alarm as he realised Hera was looking directly at him.
“You there.” Hera ignored both you and Zeus, her focus entirely on her target, her voice sharper than a knife. “Bastard.”
Apollo slowly rose to his feet. Slightly behind him, you noticed Hermes quietly move in front of Heron, while Artemis stood as still as a statue, her shoulders tense and rigid. Apollo cleared his throat lightly. “I am afraid you may need to be a little more specific-“
Hera flicked her wrist vaguely in Apollo’s direction, as though swatting a fly. There was a sharp crack and Apollo’s head snapped to the side with such force he was knocked to the ground, a surprised cry of pain spilling past his lips as blood burst across the marble floor.
“Mother, please, stop-“
“Hera, do not-“
Artemis rushed over to her twin’s side, while Hermes positioned himself directly between Hera and Heron. The Queen of the Heavens looked right past him, her eyes locked onto the demi-god behind him. “Heron, isn’t it?” She spoke his name the same way someone might talk about a particularly unpleasant insect. “So it is you I have to thank for my daughter’s sudden rebellious attitude.”
You wanted to run, somewhere, anywhere but here, but your feet were rooted to the marble floor. Hera stepped aside slightly, sweeping her arm wide to gesture at you.
Heron’s eyes met yours. Confusion flooded his handsome face, his eyes widening slightly as realisation struck, his mouth opening wordlessly before snapping shut.
“Heron…” You choked his name out weakly. Hera turned abruptly and strode past you, pausing to hiss sharply in your ear.
“He will disappoint you. Do not say I did not warn you.”
With those final words, she was gone. Zeus brushed past you to kneel by Apollo’s side, his wound already healing. Hermes’s shoulders sagged, a heavy sigh spilling past his lips. Artemis looked grim, her knuckles white on Apollo’s shoulder.
Heron continued to stare at you mutely. Feeling returned to your body like a bolt of lightning, and you turned around, quickly retreating into the safety of the palace.

This is probably a bit of a silly request (assuming they are still open! If not feel free to ignore!) but in the interest of torturing Blood of Zeus!Poseidon a little I was thinking following the events of the Referee Poseidon, you know, trying to dodge Hera's wrath, makes an effort to be nice to Reader. He gets on the wrong side of Aphrodite, however, who uses her abilities to "amplify" an attraction to Reader to extremely...distracting levels. Now, Poseidon isn't crazy enough to try and bed a Reader romantically involved with both Zeus AND Hera, but I can't help but think it'd be fun to watch him squirm a little as he grapples with the idea ;D (Bonus points if Zeus and Hera eventually catch on - I imagine Hera would be unamused while Zeus would probably cackle at his brother predicament lol)
A/N I still love these three so OF COURSE I'll write more for them!
The Game
The Referee
It had been a couple of months since the whole “Poseidon throwing a golden net over your lovers and you” situation, and the sea god had deemed it safe enough to return to Olympus. You found yourself avoiding him, wanting to avoid the awkward feelings that would come from seeing him again after your last encounter. You knew your lovers would find neverending amusement from watching him stumble through interacting with you, but the idea just made you tired.
He was in the gardens one day at the same time as you and Hera. She had wanted you, as her favorite nymph, to show her your favorite flowers. It was very sweet of her to want to spend this time with you, and you enjoyed pointing out the different patterns in nature and which ones you preferred to mimic in plant form. Or at least you enjoyed it until Poseidon was walking towards you two, a bouquet of all things in his hands. He called your name first, then greeted the queen with a short bow.
“I wished to apologize for my grave lapse in judgment the last time I was here,” he said, holding the bouquet out towards you. “I hope you understand my intentions were well-meaning, but my actions were out of line-” he trailed off as you gently took the bouquet from him, turning and dropping it to the ground. His face fell for a moment before a bush sprouted from the bouquet, each type of flower showcased among its emerald green leaves.
“Apology acknowledged,” you muttered before stepping behind Hera, half-hiding behind her. The Queen smiled saccharinely at her brother-in-law, placing a comforting arm around your shoulder as she began to lead you away.
“That means they don’t wish to talk to you, dear Poseidon,” she said over her shoulder, voice icy-cold. The sea god flinched, but nodded and walked the other way.
“Brother!” only to run into the other third of his dilemma. “I saw that,” he motioned behind Poseidon, an amused smile on his face. “Trying to get yourself into our sweet nymph’s good graces?” Poseidon tried not to react.
“Only wishing to set things right,” he muttered gruffly.
“Or perhaps trying to get yourself into our sweet nymph’s bed?” he prodded, delighting in the flush that overcame Poseidon’s cheeks.
“I would never! I-”
“Perhaps that’s why you decided to terrify them the last time you were on Olympus,” Zeus prattled on. “Not like you to be jealous, hmm brother? Not that I can blame you, they were moaning so sweetly for us-”
“Zeus!” Poseidon tried to cut his brother off.
“-I’m sure you found her beautiful, didn’t you?”
“That’s not the point-”
“Didn’t you?” silence followed, and Zeus smirked. “Well?”
“Yes,” he muttered gruffly, unaware of the goddess listening to them on the other side of the rose bush. “Your lover is one of the most beautiful creatures on Olympus,” Zeus smiled cheekily, yanking an apple from a tree and taking a bite.
“I know,” Zeus turned and began to walk away, leaving his brother with some parting ‘wisdom’ “Do enjoy your stay on Olympus! Try not to throw any more nets over anyone!”
Poseidon glanced back over his shoulder, seeing you still conversing with Hera on the other side of the garden. A gust of wind blew past him then, carrying rose petals and the scent of myrtles. His pupils dilated as he stared at you, and he found himself alarmed at the sudden attraction he felt towards you. He hadn’t been lying when speaking to Zeus, you were quite beautiful, carnations and lilies scattered throughout your hair, no doubt a nod to your lovers.
He took a step towards you, wishing once more to set things right, though this time less out of a sense of self-preservation and more out of some irrational need that coursed throughout his very being. A need to be on your good side, to become close to you-maybe as close as the king and quee-no!
He abruptly turned the other way, hands massaging at his temples to stave off the oncoming headache and confusion.
Aphrodite giggled from her place behind the rose bush. She couldn’t harm you for Poseidon’s ignorance: saying a nymph’s beauty equated to that of her and the other beautiful gods and goddesses of Olympus? Ridiculous! If she wished to retaliate by harming you, Hera and Zeus would have her head. Poseidon, however… She had a feeling Zeus and Hera would only reap amusement from the sea god’s new raging attraction to you.
That night at dinner, Zeus and Hera were indeed amused at Poseidon’s constant attempts to speak with you. You were sat at Zeus’ left, Hera on his right while Poseidon sat to your left. You gave short answers, still immensely uncomfortable with his presence, even more so now that he wouldn’t stop talking to you.
“I noticed earlier you were speaking with the queen about what plants you enjoy,” he began. “Have you ever had the pleasure of seeing the coral reef?” he asked, and you shook your head.
“No, my lord,” you mumbled, moving the food around your plate disinterestedly. You did try your best to be polite to the sea god, smiling at him when appropriate and occasionally adding to the conversation enough to avoid insult.
“I would be honored to show you sometime,” he mentioned. “I personally find it more beautiful than the gardens of Olympus,” you smiled politely.
“I appreciate that very much, my lord,” you said. “However I’m sure my friend Althaia would enjoy it even more! She’s a naiad charged with the protection of the Corinthian Gulf, and has always wished to see more of the ocean!” He seemed to remember himself then, glancing around the table and meeting the amused gaze of Zeus and the pointedly less-amused gaze of Hera.
“Ah, of course!” he scratched at his beard. “I suppose a dryad such as yourself would wish to stay on solid ground,”
“Indeed,” you mumbled with a smile.
“Poseidon!” Zeus called, reaching a strong arm around you to clap his brother on the shoulder. “I’m glad to see old grudges are behind you,” a flush came to Poseidon’s cheeks.
“Well, yes, I-” he began gruffly, but Hera cut him off.
“I do hope you aren’t trying to steal our lovely nymph from us,” she raised a perfectly shaped brow at him, and the flush spread to his entire face, then. Not that much of it was visible behind his beard.
“Of course not, my queen,” you awkwardly shifted closer to Zeus, who laid a comforting hand on your thigh, giving it a squeeze.
“May I be excused?” you leaned over to softly ask him, and he nodded, giving you a soft kiss on the lips as you rose. “I’ll be in our chambers,” you moved to give Hera a kiss as well, missing the way she smirked at Poseidon. She could see the way he was shifting uncomfortably in his seat, and decided for once she would be the one to tease her husband’s brother. Her hand rose to cup your cheek, drawing you in for a deeper kiss, indulging in your taste more than she usually would in public. You didn’t complain, meeting her with a happy sigh before you reluctantly pulled away.
“We’ll join you shortly, my love,” she whispered to you, and you nodded, finally leaving the room.
“Won’t you join me for a walk before I retire? Husband? Poseidon?” Hera urged, and while Zeus immediately rose to do so, Poseidon shifted in his seat for a moment, adjusting his robes before standing. Hera looped her arm in Zeus’ leaning up to whisper in her husband’s ear.
“Your brother seems to be quite taken with our lover,” he chuckled.
“Oh yes, it’ll be fun to watch him hide those embarrassing boners the next few days before he returns to the sea,” he said, and Hera joined in his chuckle.
“So long as he does not get too bold and make them uncomfortable the same way he did at dinner,” she raised her voice to a normal speaking tone as she said this, hearing Poseidon’s footsteps falter behind them before continuing.

SHE'S FINALLY HERE AAAAAA
Season 2 Blood of Zeus is coming so I thought why not introduce my oc's here, starting with the Lady of seduction (n hermes' wife) herself 💕
More info under the cut!
Peitho was the Greek goddess of persuasion and seduction.
She was often linked to Aphrodite, as beauty and seduction went hand in hand. When couples were attracted to one another, she facilitated the circumstances and agreements needed to bring them together.
Peitho was also worshiped as an important civic goddess. Her persuasive abilities were as necessary for bringing people together as citizens of a state as they were in making people fall in love.
However, this power is what make Hera suspect that Peitho has been aiding Zeus in his infidelity.

Well, now you’ve got me hooked on the tale of Zeus and Hera’s lover Nymphie and lovesick Poseidon :D I kinda wanna throw him a bone if it’s okay to make another request?
Maybe Nymphie (that’s adorable af btw) gets into some kind of trouble with some nereids and is injured, Poseidon intervenes to prevent them from meeting a rather unpleasant, watery situation and carries them back to Olympus? (doing his level best to ignore a wet, shivering Nymphie pressed against him, he’s actually trying to be a gentlemen here, damn it Aphrodite-)
Nymphie warms up to him along the way, and once safely deposited goes to kiss Poseidon’s cheek, but (he SWEARS accidentally) moves slightly and ends up with one directly on the lips. There’s a flustered moment between them, but they kind of melt into it (Poseidon is a good kisser, okay) until Nymphie pulls away after a few heated moments, gives a flustered thanks, and darts off.
Poseidon can’t help but be a /little/ pleased that his attraction isn’t totally one-sided, but refrains from saying anything to avoid all Tartarus breaking loose-

It’s not your fault that Neso and Nesaie stranded you on that island. Technically, it wasn’t their fault either, for forgetting that land nymphs couldn’t traverse the sea in the blink of an eye like they could.
That no one was really to blame still didn’t change the fact that you were stranded on a very small island. You weren’t even sure if you could call it an island, more of a small grouping of boulders. There wasn’t even any soil, otherwise you would have turned into a tree to wait for someone to come by. Instead you had to debate trying to swim to land with vegetation or staying and hoping sailors would come by. Neso and Nesaie weren’t coming back that much you knew.
“Alright then,” you muttered to yourself, giving your body a quick shake before jumping into the ocean. A couple of curses escaped your mouth as you began to swim towards land. As a dryad you could always feel a pull towards the roots, urging you to rejoin them as a tree and tunnel your own roots deep into the earth. You followed this pull, knowing it would take you to the closest tree, and thus, closest patch of land.
It was just your luck that Phorkys was playing with one of his children near the surface. Or perhaps he was trying to reign in one of his children who got too close to the surface… Either way before you could process the blob underwater that was approaching you all too swiftly a giant tailfin had breached the surface just next to you, violently thrashing about in the waters. You were thrown up into the air for a terrifying moment before you hit the water again at an uncomfortable angle. You tried to swim back up, but the currents caused by the sea monster’s thrashing battered you down further and further.
Your chest hurt, and you could feel the flowers in your hair rotting and falling away. Contrary to popular beliefs, nymphs could in fact die. In fact they could die much easier than the gods, and for you… apparently drowning was all it took.
Darkness took your vision as rotted carnation and lilies danced around you, thrashed by the current in the same way your body was.
Poseidon had heard Phorkys was having trouble reigning in one of his children in the Mediterranean Sea and was on his way to contain the beast when a flash of color caught the corner of his eye. He turned to look and felt ice-cold terror strike through his heart at the site of the land-nymph he had become infatuated with. Your robe flowed around them ethereally, but rotting flowers surrounded you.
He shouted your name, by your side in an instant and he used his magic to allow you to breathe. A trick for land-dwellers to visit his kingdom that he had used on yourself and your lovers not even a month ago. He held you tight to his body, eyes narrowing. Within seconds he had broken the surface and was glaring fiercely at Phorkys, who had the gall to look sheepish.
“About time you arrived, little god!” the old Titan greeted before gesturing to his child. “Some help taking Scylla back home?” he asked, grunting as he dodged a bite from one of the beasts on her tentacles.
It took Poseidon barely a minute to get the great sea monster under control, fury and an urge to get his little land-nymph out of harm's way as quickly as possible egging him on. He didn’t even spare Phorkys a glance as the beast was dragged back beneath the surface and far into the depths. Instead within a matter of seconds he was on shore, laying you along the roots of the first tree he found and began scanning your body for injury. He called your name a couple of times, lightly tapping your cheeks. You remained unresponsive, and after a couple moments of nothing he finally remembered what happened when land dwellers drowned.
Raising a shaking hand over your chest, Poseidon felt for the sea water within and gently tugged it out. No matter how gentle he was as he manipulated his magic he couldn’t prevent the violent coughing fit that escaped you, sea water stinging your throat as it made its way up and out. All the while, Poseidon was there with a soothing hand rubbing up and down your back.
Once you coughed up the last of the seawater, you turned your head slightly to see the sea god with a kind look on his face.
“You alright?” he asked, and you grimaced.
“Well, I almost fucking drowned,” you rasped out, holding a hand to your throat at the sting speaking caused. Poseidon noticed and gently took your hand in his.
“Actually, perhaps it’s best you don’t speak,” he told you gently, and you nodded. “Let’s get you back to Olympus, shall we?” his hands hovered around you for a moment, waiting for another nod before he scooped you up and against his chest in a bridal carry. Tired beyond belief, you let your head rest against his bare chest, not at all noticing the flustered look that overtook the sea god’s face.
It only took a couple of minutes for Poseidon to propel the two of you to Olympus. He set you down in the gardens and called for one of the nymphs lounging among the irises to run and get the king and queen before turning back to you.
“How are you feeling?” he asked, and you smiled sheepishly up at him.
“I-I’m alright,” you muttered, before reaching a hand up to cup his cheek. “Thank you for saving me,” you said, smile a bit wider now, and he flustered, clearing his throat and you could’ve sworn you saw his cheeks coloring a bit.
“Of course,” he grunted, looking around as if expecting Zeus to come around and strike him with a lightning bolt at any moment. When he looked back at you he found himself unintentionally redirecting the kiss that had been meant for his cheek. Without thinking he melted into your lips, kissing you with a fervor you were entirely unprepared for. You were entirely unprepared for the sensation of his lips against yours, for one, but the passion with which he kissed you wasn’t just unexpected it was… electrifying. You found yourself coaxed into shyly brushing your lips against his, not quite matching his passion but not at all unsettled as you might have expected. A large hand cupped the side of your face, and your hand went to wind its way into his long white locks before-
“My love!” Hera and Zeus were rushing into the garden, and Poseidon shoved himself away from you, standing far away and leaving you dazed and flushed. You blinked slowly at him, tilting your head a bit before your lovers were upon you and fussing over you.
“I’m okay,” you assured them, basking in the familiar attention of your lovers and accepting a kiss from each of them. “Poseidon saved me,”
“But what were you doing out there?” As Hera fussed over you some more, Poseidon did his best to ignore the self-satisfied look on his brother’s face as he smirked at him over your head.
It was a moment of weakness, that was all.
