College! Tetcho ramble:

You don’t fit in with your friend group at college. They party like crazy and you’re the easiest to scold and neglect. You’re probably close with one friend but even then that friend feels flakey at times. Don’t get yourself wrong, you love them and they have been there for you but only when you needed it, not when you wanted.

You’re just weird, as corny as it is.

However, Tetcho is a newcomer. He’s a streamer, he plays sports, he’s funny, he’s incredibly handsome. Everyone is all over him. He’s just popular. He fits so easily in the group. However, you just stick out.

There’s one thing you guys have in common: you’re both just weird.

You carry the baggage of your past, he has weird food combinations. You are sporadic in almost everything you do, he works out in the most inconvenient times. You fear people, he loves people. You’re just depressed, he’s been there before.

If anyone truly cares about you on campus, it’s Tetcho. He will try to fit himself into your hectic schedule to spend time with you. He will take you out on dates. Nah this dude is blunt and straightforward so he likes you and tells you the moment he realizes. However you think it’s too fast and he’s cool with where you stand. He’s not gonna stop there though. He’ll show you he’s worthy to be your man by defending you, making sure you’re not alone; he’ll protect you. He’ll listen to all your rambles and be present. He will literally nurse you back to health on days you get a cold, even if it’s small. He’ll take you out on cute dates and take you to cool places that he goes to when he wants to be alone. He’s so gentle with you too. He will keep you safe at frat parties and doesn’t rush you.

To Tetcho, you’re the most divine and unique plum and it’s his duty to always protect you.

Even if you don’t wanna admit it, he’s amplified whatever happiness you have created when you’re alone.

Before you know it, you’ve both fallen in love with each other.

When everything gets too stressful for Mushitaro, he always listens to Elvis Presley songs over headphones to fall asleep (same)

The whole theatere course in which Nikolai is in plans to stay together even after college to perform little plays

They are really good tho so they probably could make money with thier plays

It already happened a few times that Dazai just couldn't put up with the academic stress and expectations aswell as with all his trauma and suicidal thoughts but didn't wanted to "stress Chuuya even more" so he just went to Oda and Ango to thier office and let himself breakdown there while his father figures comforted him

Oda is the very chill easy going professor of the college which nearly everyone loves

Bram is known as the campus vampire bc he's not only pale af but he also sleeps during the day and in lectures, gets productive at night, always dresses like it's the 1800s, mainly wears black and white colored clothes, and comes from a rich family.

Bram's best friend is Aya who goes to the primary school a few streets away from the campus.

They met in a café where Aya walked up to him and kept asking him if he's really a vampire.

After he found out about her abusive father he basically adopted her

He's mostly either annyoed or tired and he always listens to the radio over his tiny pocket radio

Fyodor is a psychology major who minors in something like religion or music.

Fyodor pretty much never sleeps and tends to overwork himself. Nikolai has to wrestle him to bed at like 3am. (Which isn't hard for him/considering how fragile Fyodor is and how tall and trained Nikolai is)

Fyodor admirers Sigma's personality and his innocence since it's something he lost while living on the streets as a teen.

Thanks to his family Fyodor has religious trauma and after some religion lectures his boyfriends have to beat some sense into that so smart but so stupid brain of his. Especially when he starts thinking again that him being gay will bring him to hell.

Fyodor tells everyone who dared to start small talk with him that he only listens to classical music and then proceeds to blast russian rock in his and his boyfriends' dorm.

Sometimes Fyodor has depressive days where he won't even leave the bed. Then Nikolai, Sigma and Shibusawa will stay with him all day, trying to cheer him up, comfort him and help him

On these days even Dazai comes over to thier dorm to check on his oldest friend. He obviously isn't worried or smth or feels bad for him since he knows how such days are. He is and he does

Bram dragged Lovecraft and Steinbeck with him to see the " The Dance of the Vampire"/"The Fearless Vampire Killers" musical at least 4 times already

Poe, Lucy, Louisa, Magret, Nathaniel, Lovecraft, Steinbeck and Mark are all students from america who study overseas and all went to the same high school together so they know each other pretty well

Study sessions with them are pure chaos

Louisa and Poe are some kind of friends and bond over the fact that they are both often too scared to do some normal things which require social interaction

Whenever Bram's legs start to hurt too much, Lovecraft will do anything he can to help boyfriend his dear friend to feel better (As mentioned in my previous posts, Bram can in fact get up and walk around for a bit again but he can't walk for a long time. He can obviously feel his legs and isn't paralyzed but he struggles with pain from the permanent injuries now too)

Poe despairing over Mark's grammar and pronunciations in his writing assignments for thier literature course which he had to proof read on a daily base

Mark is a good writer tho

Ranpo usually wears glasses bc he can't see shit without them

Nikolai loves to burn CDs for his boyfriends

He either burns thier favorite songs or he makes playlists for them in which he puts a lot of work and effort

For some reason, Shibusawa listens to Orchestral Manoeuvers in the dark on daily base

Ranpo often comes to lectures or goes out in general while wearing sweatshirts or vests which he stole from Poe or Mushitaro. They are very oversized but he doesn't actually mind. He likes oversized clothes.

Chuuya always sends cute videos of the animals from the animal shelter where he works and of which he takes care of to Dazai

He also does this often if he has to go to work but knows Dazai is feeling not that well to cheer him up

It nearly always works

Nikolai and Shibusawa both share a deep hate towards Ivan and Ivan hates them both too so Nikolai and Shibusawa made it thier mission to roast him whenever they can while he dramatically talks shit about them or insults them

Louisa and Lucy, the poly doa and Atsushi and Akutagawa have a bunch of fairy lights hanging around in thier dorms which they turn on every evening. Especially in the cold months

Ranpo, Mushitaro and Poe hoard candles and books

"You're really attractive!"he says. The redhead,he proposed, looked at him perplexed.

"That's flattering, I suppose." The redhead replies while looking at the rose, the taller man had brought.

"Well, I hope you'll accept the compliment and my heart~My lady~" he says and adds,"I'm Dazai, Dazai Osamu!" While stretching out his free hand cheerfully.

The redhead snorts a little at the word 'my lady'. "I'm not a lady." He says, chuckling and taking brunnet's hand, adds "The name's Nakahara, Nakahara Chuuya. But please call me Chuuya." Amused.

Dazai's brain had stopped due to shock. What the hell was he thinking? It was obvious Chuuya was a boy, even though he had quite a feminine structure, that is if you look closely, and Dazai has been looking at Chuuya for a year.

Back of him, his friends, Ranpo and Yosano, were snickering and chuckling, trying to smother their laughs but failing miserably. In front of him, Chuuya's friends, Shirase and Yuan, were chuckling too. Dazai was having a hard time processing the information.

"Ah. I knew that!" He adds, quite hastily.

Chuuya snickers and says, "Oh? So you admit I'm pretty attractive, or was that a joke?" With a smirk.

"Oh, please." Dazai replied while rolling his eyes. "You're just flattering yourself. Of course, that was a joke! I'd never date a man and especially not a man as short as you." Dazai lies pretty easily.

At that Chuuya retorts. "Fuck you! I ain't that funking short! I'm average." He adds the last line quite hesitantly.

At this reaction, Dazai can't help but smirk. "Oh? But you as short as a plankton. I think I'll need magnifying glasses to see you." Dazai snorts. Chuuya's friends couldn't help but burst out laughing.

Chuuya ears and cheeks become a little red due to anger and embarrassment. He furrows his brow with irritation.

"Hey bud!" He starts talking, grinding his teeth. "I'll let you go with a warning. Don't call me short, or else I'll beat the living shit out of you!" He says threateningly.

Dazai snorts and starts talking. "Sure, chibi sure, you can't even -" He was cut short with Chuuya's fist landing on his fist within his gut. It was quite painful. Dazai seriously hadn't counted this one bit. He groans with pain. "Oww."

"Do that again, I'll make sure the next time I do, I'll aim for the face." Chuuya says with a grin plastered on his face. He turns and leaves with his friends laughing and snickering, leaving the hurt Dazai groaning in pain.

That was their first interaction. But certainly not their last.

Dazai Osamu is an odd character to many. He's a 22 year old, tall brunette, a student in a college with odd features.

Firstly, he wears bandages almost all over his body, ALWAYS. He prefers not to be called by his birth name, which is odd, even when if it is his friends calling him that. He gives them a cold look and requests them not to call him that.

But despite that, he's a very cheerful person, which would've been nice if he didn't talk about suicide and death alarmingly. He's also that kind of person who is very laid-back, chill, and annoying.

Right now, he's in his second year with his friends Edogawa Ranpo and Yosano Akiko. How did they meet? Dazai is one of the top 3 in his first year and even helps his seniors with their studies, too. This had caught the eye of Ranpo, Dazai's senior, since he's the top 1 in the whole campus. He thought it would've been nice to meet someone with high intellect because he knows that Dazai isn't top 3 just because he studies hard. Yosano was already Ranpo's friend the time Dazai met them.

It has been a year since he joined the institute, and it has been well and good. Until a redhead showed up a month later. Somehow, he had gotten the brunnet's eye and has been eyeing him for a year. Until Ranpo pointed it out to do it as a dare.

Chuuya joined a month late at the institution. He's a redhead with temperamental issues. His eyes are bright blue. And he's short, shorter than an average man. His facial and bodily features are quite feminine at first. But soon enough, it is obvious that he's a male.

His attire is very odd to Dazai. He wears a simple white t-shirt with a leather jacket over it. The pants he wears are also leather. He wears a choker and a very tacky hat, which Dazai says,'it makes him look like a slug with a bad fashion sense'.

His friends, Shirase and Yuan, are from the same year. He'd been with them for seven years now. They're from a group named 'the sheep' which Shirase formed. Of course, there were other members too, but they have gone to other institutions, they keep in touch though.

Although Chuuya is temperamental, he's a very genuine and caring person. He loves animals and nature and is humble. Even though at first he gives the 'bad boy, no else matters other than me', impression.

He also had been in the institute for a year like Dazai and had just started the second year. Until the whole confession thing. Somehow, Dazai had also caught his eye long before this, when he had never officially met before.

Shibusawa studies fashion design and spends the most of his time designing and sewing new clothes for his boyfriends, for himself and for his major

Fyodor and Dazai frequently help Shibusawa out and model for him. Nobody knows how he convinced them to do it but apparently it worked

Chuuya secretly plays pocket love where he made himself and Dazai and choosed a dog as pet

Nikolai, Dazai and Ranpo are chaotic besties

Nikolai and Dazai both listen to "The Smiths " and always talk about the songs or do dramatic playback to them

Fyodor and Dazai have a weird hate friendship where they piss each other off the whole time or always try to get the higher scores than the other but as soon as one of them is obviously stuck in a depression hole again or as soon Fyodor passed out due to his anemia again, they seem really worried about the other one

Bram is a wheelchair user who can walk really short lengths since he got hit by a car while he crossed the street years ago

Sigma and Bram are best friends and always get super excited when they see each other in lectures

Dazai's and Chuuya's dorm is right next to the dorm of Nikolai, Fyodor, Sigma and Shibusawa and the walls aren't that thick so Dazai, Nikolai, Shibusawa and Fyodor casually annyoy each other by doing normal activities super loud, blast music or knock against the wall which separates thier dorms

Oda and Ango are both teachers but they know Dazai since he was 14 years old and they basically adopted him

Nikolai is a drama major and his boyfriends never missed a show or a theater rehearsal of him

Chuuya works part time at the local pet shop

A lot students and professors are scared of Fyodor and Nikolai for very obvious reasons

One time Nikolai fell and hurt his leg a lot on stage during a rehearsal and Fyodor shot up from his seat and run onto the stage so quickly that the others were worried that he would pass out any moment from the sudden quick movement

Fyodor's and Nikolai's dorm is usually a mess where the floor aswell as Fyodor's desk is completly covered with books, papers, clothes, kitchenware/dishes, playing cards, watter bottles and god knows what

Bram is, just like Lovecraft, always sleeping and in any location so one can find them sleeping in the most random places of the college. This happens very often

Sigma has no idea how he ended up with Fyodor, Nikolai and Shibusawa but he isn't complaining about it

Fyodor and Nikolai have both russian/ukrainian accents but Fyodor's is much thicker than Nikolai's. Sometimes one has to listen very closely to understand him

Bram has an irish accent

Sometimes Fyo forgets some words in japanese and awkwardly asks Nikolai what it means. Dazai makes fun of him bc of this.

Chuuya is the front singer of the college band which he founded with Akutagawa, Gin,Higuchi and Tachihara

Dazai falls even more in love with Chuuya (if this is even possible) everytime he sees him perform.

Dazai was the old tutor of Aku but he simply dropped him off. Now he is a much better tutor to Atushi, causing Aku to full on hate Atushi after they met

Everyone thought they would be having a mass hallucination after Atushi and Akutagawa made thier relationship public

Ranpo being the adopted son of Fukusawa the headmaster

Sigma is good friends with Atushi and they both try to calm each other's anxiety before exams but they end up panicking together

Poe is a rich exchange student from america who secretly keeps his racoon Karl in his and Ranpo's dorm

He even secretly carries Karl with him in his backpack

Jouno and Tecchou are both in the military but take side classes in the university

Nobody wants to mess with them

Yosano studies medicine and she is always scolding Dazai for his still pretty unhealthy way of living (He tries to get himself together for Chuuya and for Oda and Ango tho and they help him)

She also would scold Fyodor who has even unhealthier habits but even she is kinda scared of him

Fyodor takes afternoon classes, sleeps until late in the morning, stays up until ungodly hours, forgets to eat and drink enough frequently and basically lives in his chair on his desk, working his ass off and chewing his fingers bloody

Nikolai changes his part time jobs often. He already worked at a café, at a McDonald's, etc.

Fyodor doesn't go to work. He scams people on the internet and earns way more money than a normal student would have.

Sometimes he has to go to work tho so people won't get suspicious of him.

At the moment he is working at the local instrument-/music store and hates it bc of the costumers

Fitzgerald is an american professor who doesn't really teach anything and can't memorize the names of the japanese students for shit

After managing to get out of a really deep and horrible depression hole, Dazai decided to go to work in order to make the next step into getting his life together again. Now he works at the local coffee shop where Lucy works too and he rather enjoys it

Mushitaro is Ranpo's and Poe's constantly stressed roommate

Dazai, Chuuya, Yosano, Akutagawa, Gin, Higuchi, Koyo and Tachihara all went to the same high school which was lead by Mr. Mori Ougai before finally getting to this university

Dazai and Yosano both got horribly abused by Mori during thier time there. Chuuya was the one who called the police one day after finding out about the abuse, crashing the door to his office to stop him from abusing Dazai any further

Sigma and Mushitaro both bond over the fact that they both have a panic/anxiety disorder and OCD

Nikolai, Fyodor, Shibusawa and Sigma secretly keep three pet rats in thier dorm even though it's forbidden to keep pets in the dorms.

Elise, Yumeno, Kyouka, Aya and Karma go to the elementary school close to the university.

Elise and Yumeno frequently visit Dazai and Chuuya, Karma frequently visits Fyodor and his boyfriends and Aya frequently visits Bram. The older students have basically adopted the kids.

Sigma dreams of becoming a casino manager in his own casino one day and works really hard to archive this dream

He secretly works part time at a casino in the city. He gets along well with the manager so he is allowed to help out a little bit

Shibusawa once asked how "our casino manager" is doing after Sigma came home after his shift and Sigma nearly cried because of how happy this made him feel

Sigma hates Dazai after he danced with him against his will purely to annyoy him and kinda embarrassed him in front of others after he came newly to the college

Sigma now always threatens Dazai to hit him with whatever is laying or standing close to him if he says stupid stuff to tease him and ignores him most of the time

Fyodor and Dazai both suffer from frequent nightmares and night terrors so when they don't want to wake thier partners up for whatever reason, they often unintentionally meet each other in the 24h Café at night where they either sit quietly together and drink thier coffee, tea or hot chocolate or they just tiredly talk about how's it going, talk about chess and philosophy and gush a bit about thier boyfriends

Ivan hates Nikolai, Shibusawa and Sigma out of pure jealousy because they are together with Fyodor and Nikolai and Shibusawa hate him too

Sigma who came to the university a year after Shibusawa, Nikolai, Fyodor and Ivan didn't experience the whole drama with Ivan because of Fyodor so he was a bit confused at first about why this man hated him so much

Now he just makes him a bit uncomfy

Fyodor is just rather annyoyed but at least he has someone who he can send to buy groceries if they all can't go

Kunikida says that he hates Dazai but in truth he cares deeply about his somewhat friend and he is the only one besides Chuuya, Ango and Oda who had seen Dazai breaking down and being at his lowest

He is also the only one besides the redhead and Oda who is allowed to change his bandages if Dazai geniuly can't drag himself out of bed to do it himself

Kunikida is one of the best students (Dazai, Ranpo and Fyodor are the only ones who always have better scores and it drives him mad since they seem to do nothing to get these scores) and he is allowed to help out Fukusawa and other teachers

Students can often witness how Oda has to wrestle Ango out of his office in the late evening so he has a change of convincing Ango to get a at least a few hours of sleep

Poe works part time in the library of the university and knows the most students due to it. He doesn't really talks with them a lot because of his social anxiety but he observes them often or has to give them recommendations so he knows a bit about what they like and how they spend thier time.

Ranpo, Louisa, Lucy and Yosano visit him in the library often

He actually met Mushitaro and Ranpo through this job at the library

Dazai and Chuuya never appear in a lecture and still have (almost always in Chuuya's case) perfect grades

Fyodor does appear in the lectures but he always reads and isn't paying any attention

Ranpo just eats a whole bunch of snacks during lectures and corrects the professors every single time

Chuuya gets a dozen calls from his overprotective brother Verlaine who wants to know how he's doing and if everything is alright weekly

i mean theres so many classes to take and things to try how can he decide on a major yet

he’s a part time student, taking a couple classes each semester and still working nearly full time at the agency

dazai likes to call him in the middle of his classes to see if he left his ringtone on and embarrass him lol

because of this he only ever keeps his phone on vibrate

he makes friends pretty easily in his classes but has a hard time keeping then considering his lack of free time to hang out

thats not to say he doesn’t have any college friends, he definitely has a few!!

the only people who know about his job at the agency are like the dean of the school and people in admissions

he doesn’t tell anyone about it but his friends are all aware of his job

and having a job as a college student is pretty normal, but they quickly become aware that atsushis job is Not Normal.

he doesn’t come in injured often or anything considering his healing but he does come in after a shift looking like he just got blown up (he did lol)

one extremely tiring week, an emergency at work coincided with finals week and no one has ever see atsushi that exhausted or stressed.

he comes into one final, smelling like smoke with his clothes half in tatters and still healing bruises and everyone is like ????? you okay dude ??

he’s the kind of guy who went to like 12 club meetings the first week and had a really hard time figuring out which ones he wanted to stick with (difficult considering his schedule)

he ends up joining a film studies club (helps him catch up on all the movies he missed growing up) and another one (give me suggestions) he also joins a dnd group

his friends definitely end up finding out about the ada stuff somehow and its funny and chaotic and i haven’t thought of the details yet

once there’s a whole discussion on ability users and rights for them and if they’re dangerous or not in one of his classes and someone has Bad Take about it and atsushi has to focus all his energy on not letting his fangs or claws out while he debates back.

he channels his inner kunikida and dazai to deliver his come back with facts and also a kind of scary demeanor.

someone mentions the ada in their discussion and he freezes for a few seconds thinking please no one google the adas members rn please no one remember the moby dick article about me

also those big lectures with like 150-300 people in them are hell for him on bad days with the amount of sensory input

but his friends are always willing to share notes if he has to duck out early
