The maid outfit is a success; they all seem to love it not only because they're constantly complimenting him but also because they have started to bring him all kinds of gifts.

Tanjirou appreciates every single one of them, although he thinks they shouldn't spend too much money on him; getting Nezuko and him away from that dangerous neighborhood was more than enough.

But not only they keep doing that, they ask some of the girls who work there as well to tell them everything Tanjirou likes and start bringing it to him as well.

He blushes to the tip of his ears one morning when Kanroji gives him a skirt and stockings because she knows he also likes that type of clothing too.

Tanjirou keeps working though; it relaxes him a lot to do house chores, even if they're constantly insisting he doesn't have to.

Sometimes, when they all are there at the same time, they don't let Tanjirou work and instead do things for him like: make breakfast, brush his hair or even carry him around the estate like they don't want him to move at all.

"Good," Nezuko mumbles, looking very pleased for some reason. "My brother has worked most of his life to the point of exhaustion so he deserves everything he wants now."

"Nezuko!" Tanjirou squeaks, extremely mortified in Shinazugawa's arms. His face is red and he feels so embarrassed for a moment.

"And you better give it to him."

They're going to kick them out.

"We'll do it gladly!" Rengoku says immediately, to Tanjirou's shock.

"Does this mean you approve of us now?" Kocho asks, looking almost hopeful.

"Maybe."

For some reason, this answer makes them very happy and the next thing Tanjirou knows is that he's in Tomioka's arms now as he gently nuzzles his cheek.

Even though he doesn't completely understand, at least he knows they're not going to ask them to leave, so he feels relieved after that.

He also tells them he still wants to help Aoi and the little girls.

The rest of the week he spends time with each of them; there's always at least one in the estate per day, to make sure everyone is safe.

Even though Tanjirou is very happy now, there's a part of him that's constantly afraid of some of Muzan's men finding them after all.

Then, he shakes his head and assures himself that he's not that important for Muzan to look for him so he and Nezuko will probably be fine.

And all thanks to them.

Everyone is a little bit too protective of him; Tanjirou has offered the butterfly girls to keep them company when they go for errands to the small town, but they always refuse. They don't go alone though, some of the people who come to the estate to train or report to the Pillars usually go with them. Tanjirou has noticed that they are carrying weapons with them.

Nezuko is not that excited about being outside yet so when Tanjirou starts telling the hashira he wants to see the town she stays out of it.

They don't agree right away, they try to tell him it's dangerous, even though they're sure no one knows he's there and it seems he's not even looking for him at the moment.

Of course Tanjirou doesn't want to go against their rules because they have been nothing but kind to them so he doesn't mention it again. However, he still wants to go; he's so used to see new people and go outside that the thought of living his life indoors upsets him a little.

But it's okay, he can get over it.

"Keep doing the puppy sad face and they'll fold in less than a day."

"What?" Tanjirou blinks at her in confusion. "I'm not making a puppy face... I'm just–"

"You can't hide it, Tanjirou. You want to go out so bad and it's written all over your face..." Nezuko smiles fondly at him. "It's okay... I also think they're exaggerating a bit... But be careful."

"But Nezuko, I'm not–"

"Fine," Kocho cuts him off, getting closer to the siblings. Nezuko covers her mouth so Kocho can't see her smile, but it's pretty much obvious she's amused "You can go, but one of us will go with you each time."

It seems Nezuko was right after all.

Iguro goes with him and the butterfly girls the first time; Tanjirou is fascinated by all the things people sell in the town. There are people walking around them, busy and in a hurry, glancing from one thing to the next or using the time as an excuse to catch up with their neighbors.

Tanjirou can't stop grinning.

He helps the butterfly girls with the errands while Iguro keeps a close eye on all of them... It reminds him of the security guards and how they kept an eye on the bunny boys and girls at the place he used to work at.

Which is ridiculous, because the people in the town seem friendly and kind. There's nothing Iguro has to worry about.

"Look at that... That's a pretty necklace!" Tanjirou comments to the little girls who giggle at something behind him.

"Here, you can keep it," the girl behind the booth hands it to him immediately.

"I'm sorry, but I'm not going to buy–"

"It's okay, it's a gift!" She assures him, cheeks turning slightly pink as soon as she says it.

"I can't take it, I mean it's really beautiful but–"

"Please... It's a pretty necklace for a pretty boy."

This time it's Tanjirou's turn to blush, he looks at the necklace with the tiny Sun and he thinks it's just too pretty for him.

He's about to thank her when he looks up, only to see her batting her eyelashes at him. Then, he hears a very loud hiss and thinks Kaburamaru is angry, but realizes that the one hissing is Iguro actually.

"There's no need for you to give him anything. I can pay for it," he narrows his eyes and this time Kaburamaru does hiss at the girl just after Iguro puts a lot of money over the girl's booth.

"Thanks anyway!" Tanjirou smiles at her because he doesn't want her to feel bad about it. He doesn't approve of Iguro's rude tone, but he's glad he gave her money for the necklace.

When they're back at the estate, Rengoku and Uzui are already there and look in confusion as the girls start giggling and looking for Nezuko to tell her what happened while Iguro keeps glaring at the necklace Tanjirou is now wearing.

"What happened?" Rengoku asks, looking a little bit worried.

"A few of us should go with Tanjirou to the town from now on," Iguro says, confusing the other two even more.

"Why?" Uzui says, getting desperate and irritated. "Are the people there dangerous?"

"On the contrary... They're TOO FRIENDLY!"

Tanjirou honestly doesn't see a problem with that, he still doesn't know why Iguro is so upset over a gift.

They give him gifts all the time.

Random Crossover Idea: Demon Slayer/Barbie in the Nutcracker

Ye Olde Nostalgia kicked in, and refused to let me leave the topic alone.

So! I did what anyone would do when they have plot bunnies without a proper plot. I'm gonna post some random idea vomit, and anyone who stumbles across it and gets inspired is welcome to use the idea vomit with appropriate credit(i.e. tagging me here, or gifting on AO3).

Plot Ideas:

Tanjirou as Clara, Kanao as the story's version of the Nutcracker/Prince Eric. I am a sucker for TanKana, and it honestly kinda fits in my opinion.

Kanao's a doll instead of a nutcracker. I feel it fits her vibe a little better. Plus, it gave me another idea for her! Along with being turned into a doll, if she ever comes back to life, her mouth is sewn shut. Because I'm evil, apparently. Also, it creates fun communication hijinks.

Said communication hijinks includes Tanjirou giving her a notebook, and the poor girl being able to communicate with only him because she only remembers how to write in Japanese. Which isn't used in her fantasy kingdom. So poor Tanjirou has to play interpreter for her to the other members of the group. (Which absolutely includes him reading some choice words she wrote, looking her directly in the eye, and saying "I get the sentiment, but I am not translating that.")

Kanao initially belonged to Nezuko, given as a gift when she was younger. With the financial situation the Kamado family is in, Tanjirou and Nezuko decided to regift doll!Kanao to one of their younger siblings. But, due to age, she needs some touching up. Tanjirou offers to handle it(either Nezuko has a broken hand, or she's swamped with other sewing projects), and this plot gets underway.

The Mouse King is Douma. Who else could I pick, after Kanao got put in the position of Prince Eric? How'd he get the throne? Coup, that's all I got. Kanao got out alive, but got cursed. So he shows up, shenanigans occur, Tanjirou becomes tiny, and the plot goes forth with our intrepid duo searching for the... It's a bit cheesy, I think, but Sun Prince.

Kanao is a feral sword ballerina. Let her kick a** in a tutu, Natasha Romanov Style! She deserves it! Meanwhile, poor Tanjirou just got handed a sword and told to swing it at Douma's soldiers, and he's looking around like "Why did I get a sword? Why am I being trusted with weaponry? I am literally a teenager who's never seen battle. I need an adult!"

In other words, our boy has no battle experience, is very stressed, and needs help

Sanemi and Genya as Major Mint and Captain Candy. I don't know why, but the vibes came to me. Genya still has his gun.

Again, feel free to use any or all of these ideas. And if you do, I'd love to see/read them! In the meantime, have some doodles I did of Kanao, and some art I did of Kanao and Tanjirou.

Demon Slayer Halloween Headcanons Part 2

As promised, this week is the Hashira.

Giyu Tomioka: Giyu was not planning on dressing up, but Nezuko was worried he would get left out of all the fun if he didn't. So, he let her draw some whiskers on his face and put on a pair of bunny ears. Other than that, he just wore his normal clothes. He had to be reminded about the Halloween party. "Thank you for not forgetting me."

Mitsuri Kanroji: Mitsuri wanted to do a group costume, but couldn't find anyone to do it with. Obanai volunteered to do one with her, and the two went as foxes. They stayed behind at the Halloween party to help set up food and decorations. "You are all so ADORABLE! HAPPY HALLOWEEN!"

Obanai Iguro: Obanai dressed up as a fox because Mitsuri was sad no one wanted to do a group costume with her. The two helped make food for the Halloween party. Kaburamaru was sent out with the little kids to help keep them safe. "You're adorable..."

Kaburamaru: Kaburamaru is currently wearing an orange ribbon tied around himself in a little bow. Kaburamaru is patiently waiting to return back to the mansion.

Tengen Uzui: Tengen went as a flashy dragon king and provided entertainment for the party. Shinobu strictly said 'no' to the idea of a fireworks display. So, he waited for her to leave and set it up as a 'surprise.' He may not be invited back next year. "I'm sorry, but in my defense this party just wasn't flashy enough."

Gyomei Himejima: Gyomei didn't know what to dress up as, so he let the kids at the mansion decide. They chose a mummy and helped wrap his arms in bandages. He carried the kids around and pretended to be a 'cursed mummy' that would chase them during games of hide-and-seek or tag. "Could someone please help me re-wrap the bandages on my arms?"

Muichiro Tokito: Muichiro dressed up as the girl from The Ring and scared the sh!t out of everyone. Tengen called it 'a terrifying, yet flashy entrance.' Muichiro took candy from the snack table. "Trick-or-Treat? That's how it goes, right? I tricked you, so I got the treat."

Shinobu Kocho: Shinobu decided to go as a witch and hand out 'poison' candy apples to Trick-or-Treaters. She may or may not have forgotten to give Giyu his invite, but welcomed him to the party nontheless. "It was a simple mistake. Anyone would've made it, really."

Kyojuro Rengoku: Kyojuro chose to be a lion and helped take care of all the kids while they were Trick-or-Treating. Like Tanjiro, he helped carry the kids and their candy bags back to the mansion. He really liked the candy apples. "TASTY!"

Sanemi Shiazugawa: At first he really didn't want to dress up, but he eventually decided to be a were-wolf; however, unlike Tanjiro, he ended up scaring some of the younger kids. He mostly just talked with Obanai and Shinobu the whole night. "I'm not gonna say it, so don't even ask me to."

My Review of My Love Story with Yamada-kun at Lv999

Humor me. Who else thought this was going to be a sequel to Ore Monogatari (My Love Story) where Takeo and Yamada go all the way? I can’t be the only one with that sick thought. Okay completely unrelated anime, let’s see what you got.

Akane Kinoshita is out with her boyfriend Takuma…and she gets dumped. Yep, not even 30 seconds into the first episode and she gets dumped. He’s leaving Akane for a girl he met in an online game that he and Akane were playing together. After the breakup, Akane went on the game she got into because of her ex and went on a killing-spree of monsters. Just then, she meets another player named Yamada who looks like Saitama if he had a weird afro on. It takes him two minutes just for a simple reply. Akane gets annoyed and basically tells him off. After some time from the breakup, Akane decides to go to this on-site event for the game she was playing. Never mind getting freebies for the game, she’s going merely for the fact her ex might be there and wants to flaunt the goods to make him regret leaving her.

Things did not go according to plan. Akane trips and falls down on her way to stalk her ex. The person she bumped into is a handsome young man of few words. Akane realized that this mysterious boy is that Yamada she met in her game prior to this event. Well, Akane is face-to-face with her ex. What does she do? Lies and says Yamada is her boyfriend and even bribes him to keep up the farce. Yamada is quite aloof and can be blunt with the things he says…if he says anything. But what Akane doesn’t know is that Yamada is a pro-gamer.

While the boyfriend lie is merely for whenever Akane’s ex is around, Akane has a nice friendship with not only Yamada, but his inner circle as well.

BETWEEN THE SUB AND THE DUB: Even though this was a Crunchyroll exclusive (in association with Aniplex of America), this didn’t see a dub until a good six months after the series had started. Normally, I’d be concerned. But this did happen during the actor’s strike, so I’ll think no more on the matter. And that’s all I’ve got here. Here’s what you might recognize these folks from.

JAPANESE CAST: *Akane is played by Inori Minase (known for Rem on Re:Zero, Prushka on Made in Abyss, Makinohara on Bunny Girl Senpai, Ruruka on Danganronpa 3, and Hidomi on FLCL: Progressive)

DISLIKED CHARACTER: No, it’s not Runa. As much as I love to dunk on those little girls who latch onto the hot character and glare at the obvious main attraction, I actually hate jerky ex-boyfriends who quickly dump their girlfriends over trivial shit more. Yeah, Akane’s ex can kick rocks for all I care. While we only see him two times in the whole show, his breakup with Akane really messed her up.

SHIPPING: Yamada is oblivious when it comes to females. He didn’t even know a girl was confessing to him in the second episode. There’s no way in hell he’s going to fall for Akane. Never mind, dragging her drunk ass to his home in the first episode. As it turns out, Akane and Yamada had quite the cute friendship for the greater majority of this season. And as the series progressed, several of their friends were all for them getting together (even if the two characters aren’t going to do so). But we have to remember that Yamada is going to do what Yamada does. He can be blunt and slow to respond. Yet he somehow acts differently when it comes to Akane. The blunt and slow responses are still there, but he almost acts on a weird impulse at times with her.

Elsewhere, Yamada is quite the favorite around school and elsewhere. There are so many girls at his school that think he’s cute. And then there’s Runa! A lot of insecurities to unpack with this little one. But the fact that she at first wanted to keep Yamada all to herself and push Akane on some rando guy really speaks volumes. That action of Runa’s almost landed her on my dislike category. But I left her off because I grew to like her throughout the rest of the series. She even became a Akane x Yamada shipper. I thought it was adorable when she tried to have Akane bump into Yamada while eating a piece of toast.

But what about Yamada’s silent classmate, Yukari? And what of the girl from Yamada’s past that liked him? The girl from Yamada’s past is someone we’ll never see again. Yukari on the other hand…well, that’s a topic for the ending.

ENDING: Does Akane like Yamada for real? That’s a pretty big question for her as she kinda sees him in a new light after Yamada took care of her when she was sick. There is one big thing that seems to be holding her down and that’s the way things were left off between Akane and her ex. As most people do when they’re dumped, they go through a myriad of thoughts to narrow down what they did wrong. However, she still wants to tell Yamada how she feels. It’s just that the timing never seemed right with the two of them.

Meanwhile, let’s move onto Yamada’s silent classmate, Yukari. We see her a few episodes towards the end of the season. She’s on speaking terms with Yamada in class. And she recently joined the FOS guild that Akane, Eita, and Yamada are in. Her reasons for joining the video game guild were to of course get closer to Yamada. And in the second to last episode, Yukari let it slip out to Yamada that she likes him. Oooooh, right before Akane got the chance to. I sure hope the hint Eita dropped about Yamada about to get confessed to will make a dent. I think it did!

Yamada meets up with Yukari after the confession. Yukari spills everything out and admits how long she’s liked him and every reason in the world she likes him. And Yamada still rejects her! It wasn’t like those airhead replies he gave to the other girls that used to confess to him. This was genuine as he even says that there’s another. Yukari knows it’s Akane and he confirms. Called it!

The guild met up for a dinner with special food and drinks. Eita thought it’d be perfect for Akane and Yamada to have some alone time during the dinner. Things didn’t go according to plan. Yamada was late to arrive. And by the time he showed up, Akane was drunk. Déjà vu from the first episode. Yamada drags her to her home and that’s when Akane asks if he likes her. Yamada says yes. And to make sure that this is real, he promises to remind her when she sobers up that this is true.

Yamada x Akane is official!

This was a cute story despite how things started. It’s not like we haven’t seen similar things happen in other animes. Akane wasn’t even trying to become Yamada’s girlfriend after that time in front of her ex. It was just a sweet friendship that eventually blossomed into a relationship in the end. I always respect a story like that. One has to wonder if the anime will continue with a second season or if it will stay as is with the happy ending given in the 12th episode. By the looks of things, the manga is still on-going with at least 100+ chapters at the moment. I honestly think that the anime will stay with just this season. Well, if you’re looking for a cute slice of life, romcom, maybe check this out. It’s a short series.

Become a demon slayer, gotten hurt countless times, all in the name of curing her. But this time it had become too much, the girl fearful that she really would become a monster. Snap and hurt someone, tear them to pieces and devour their flesh with no hesitation. And so she went to her sister, hugging her tightly before placing her head on her lap. Even though she didn't need to rest as a demon, right now she didn't want to move. Just remain near her twin, remind herself that she had a reason to still cling to her humanity. Pink eyes looking up at that near identical face, Nezuko grabbed her sister's hand and placed it on her head. Maybe some headpats would help chase away that fear. Ah, if only Naruko could sing as well. Remind her of that time so long ago, when they could play in the sun. It hurt to remember, but right now that pain would bring her comfort. Remember the happy times, when she was still human. But she would be again, she had to be. After all, her big sister said so.

Unprompted—Always Accepting!!

Her sister’s sudden actions surprised the young demon slayer. What was Nezuko doing.?? The girl never minded when her sister wanted affection, laying her head in Naruko’s lap like this, but it did seem a bit random and strange. The way she grabbed her hand and placed it over her own head… A confused expression crossed Naruko’s face before she noticed something about her sister. She smelled so sad…sad and frightened.

Naruko’s heart broke for the poor girl. Here she was, always trying to fight and move forward to reach a point where her sister could be human once more, but in rushing forward she sometimes forgot the pain her younger sister must be feeling. The struggle to grasp onto humanity… It must be terrible for poor Nezuko. A sad expression crossed Naruko’s face as she gently stroked her sister’s hair like their mother used to when they were small.

And she began to sing a soft melody of their childhood.

“Hushabye baby bunny on the hill… Tell me why your eyes are so very red… Because when my mother was expecting me, She dined on red berries from a tree… And that is why my eyes are so very red…”

Tokito is constantly following him around, well, all of them do when they come back from a mission to keep Nezuko and him safe.

Tanjirou finds that endearing, especially right now with Tokito, despite considering him a very distracted person at first, Tanjirou must admit he can really focus on something if he wants to.

He's been watching Tanjirou do house chores all day and listening to everything Tanjirou's been telling him.

"You're beautiful, Tanjirou," Tokito suddenly says, there's no hesitation in his voice; he blurts it out like it's the most obvious thing in the world.

The redhead can't help but blush to the tip of his ears; curiously, it's not the first time it happens, all the hashira seem to enjoy complimenting him. There's no need honestly; getting Nezuko and him out of that dangerous place was more than enough.

"Thank you, Tokito–san."

Still thinking about pleasing him, Tanjirou starts brushing his hair, Tokito sighs and leans into the touch with a satisfied grin on his face.

Tanjirou can't help but smile back at him.

Sometimes, they all come to pay him a visit at once; Nezuko is more alert on those days, keeping an eye on all of them as they gather around Tanjirou.

Having their undivided attention is overwhelming at first, but Tanjirou gets used to it quickly; they're honestly so friendly with him, but he's glad, he's never had so many people caring about him the way they do, at least not since his family died.

That day, Uzui's wives insist on making dinner for everyone and they all sit around the table, like they're some sort of a big family.

Tanjirou can't help it, he's so happy he starts tearing up; Nezuko notices it first and gets closer to him before pulling him into her arms.

Of course, the Pillars get worried for a moment. Shinazugawa cradles his face in his hands, although he's very careful and gentle, like he's afraid of hurting Tanjirou.

"Did someone hurt you? Tell me so I can give them a lesson... They won't hurt you again after I–"

"I'm fine," Tanjirou's assures him with a chuckle; Shinazugawa's aggressive way of showing he cares makes him smile again. "These are happy tears."

He really wants to do something for them in return, but he still doesn't know what and Nezuko didn't help him at all the other day by telling him to just put a red ribbon on his head because he was the best present for them.

She was laughing the whole time, which obviously made Tanjirou happy but at the same time time he pretended to be slightly irritated at her joke.

"I meant something they really want!"

Nezuko chuckled again before getting closer to her brother and rolling her eyes at him.

"Tanjirou, the only thing they want is you! Anything you do will make them happy!"

Tanjirou shakes his head, suddenly coming back to the present; the Pillars are giving him their undivided attention again.

He thinks about the maid outfit the butterfly girls brought for him the other day and decides that's what he's going to do; Iguro told him it'd make them happy after all and Tanjirou doesn't have any other ideas at the moment.

"Excuse me, I'll be right back," he mumbles before running towards his room.

He hesitates as soon as he puts it on though, it feels really good and is very comfortable, but he's not sure he looks good in it.

Taking a deep breath, he decides to just go back outside and show them; he can change back if they don't like it.

"What do you think?" He asks, feeling a little bit nervous. "Does it please you? Iguro-san and Suma-san said it would but..."

He stops as soon as he realizes he's being unfair to Himejima so he gets closer to him and sits on his lap. Tanjirou explains to him what he's wearing and takes one of his hands so he can feel the fabric of his uniform.

Himejima makes a choking sound before turning completely red, then to his shock, he realizes that the others are probably as red as he is.

Are they angry?

Sometimes he thinks Nezuko has some sort of power and can hear other people's thoughts, even though she assures him it's just because his face is very easy to read.

"No, they're not angry," she assures him, trying not to burst into laughter.

"Not at all!" Kanroji agrees with his sister before the others start saying more or less the same while Himejima nuzzles against his cheek.

"You have made us very happy, Tanjirou," Kocho mumbles, looking like she's fighting to hold back her own blush. "But you really don't have to do anything you don't want just to please us..."

"It's alright," Tanjirou grins, feeling more relaxed now. "I think I like it... It feels really comfortable."

"It's my turn," Uzui says suddenly, like he can't quite help himself. He looks desperate, at least until he takes Tanjirou in his arms. "Why are you so... Oh, your stockings look like they're a little bit... tight."

For some reason, he looks flustered, which brings back memories of the night they met, when Tanjirou was wearing his bunny suit.

"They are tight, but not uncomfortable," he assures him. "I think my thighs are just too wide..."

"Your thighs are perfect," Tomioka blurts out before he starts bleeding from his nose. Tanjirou gasps, realizing he's not the only one.

"Is everyone alright?" He gets closer to Tomioka, but Rengoku kneels in front of him and puts his arms around Tanjirou's waist, smiling happily.

"We've never been better, my boy!" Rengoku says, but Tanjirou thinks he's lying for a second, because Iguro looks like he's in some sort of trance and Shinazugawa has walked into Tokito, prompting him to fall to the ground.

It looks like chaos for a moment, although Nezuko seems like she's having so much fun.

"Maybe I should change back–"

"No!" They all say at the same time, startling him.

Iguro clears his throat.

"No... I mean, if you want to, you can, but if you like the outfit you can keep it," he manages to say.

"Oh... Okay."

He does like it actually, in fact he'd like to wear skirts more often, but he decides not to mention it at the moment...

Tanjirou spends the rest of the evening sitting on different laps; the Pillars insist, actually they beg him to do that.

"Just keep your hands where I can see them," Nezuko warns them every now and then to which they nod in response.

"You know they won't hurt me, Nezuko..."

"I know, I'm not worried about that," she smiles at Tanjirou, quite amused. "But they have to behave if they want to make a good impression."

"Of course, Nezuko!" Rengoku nods enthusiastically and everyone else seems to agree with him, even Shinazugawa. "We'll be good. We're very serious about this!"

"You better be," she warns.

"What are you talking about?" Tanjirou asks, feeling lost.

"Courtship, darling," Kocho says with a genuine smile on her face.

"Oh... Okay," he nods. So they'll start courting soon? Who are they going to court? Are they going to court different people at the same time? Do they want Tanjirou's help? Sadly, he doesn't know anything about that... But perhaps it's better to keep his questions to himself at the moment.

Random Plot Idea (💕)

So! Ship Swap! Guess what plot bunny wriggled its way into my brain.

I got an idea for the Kamado family.

Here's my notes that led to this:

Tanjirou and Nezuko were kidnapped, then separated by Nezuko being bought into the Entertainment District. Neither of them have any memory of each other, or their lives prior to the separation, due to the trauma they both experienced and dealt with in their own ways.

Tanjurou is alive, having been away from the house when Muzan attacked. Because I think it'd be super sucky if Tanjirou and Nezuko reunite and go home... only to find out the rest of their entire family is dead. So Tanjurou lives, but is also grieving his 4 kids who got slaughtered, unsure if the eldest two are even alive after a decade of absolutely nothing to indicate that.

Muzan has sentient waypoints across Japan, probably keeping especially close tabs on Mount Kumotori, and he also has really bad Yoriichi PTSD. And Tanjurou is even more similar to Yoriichi than Tanjirou is, having the Transparent World and Selfless State on top of Sun Breathing mastery and the appearance.

So! What happens when you combine the man who's basically Yoriichi 2.0 with a nerfing, and the man who lives in eternal fear of Yoriichi 1.0 and attacks the Sun Breathing family, and later finds out he missed one(I mean, he technically missed 3, but he doesn't know about the other 2. Yet...)?

Bad things. Namely, Muzan sends someone to finish the job(because there's no way he's knowingly walking into that a**-beating after last time he faced a Sun Breather). And Tanjurou may be a boss, but he's also not armed with the sword that can kill demons. So, a Demon Slayer steps in, it's probably Giyuu wondering why the hell he got called back here. They comment on the sudden increase in demon attacks on Mount Kumotori, and suggest Tanjurou vacate the premises and go to a more secure location until they can find out WTF is going on.

Naturally, seeing as someone's clearly targeting the man and)or his home, they send Tanjurou to one of the two most secure locations in the Corps; the Ubuyashiki Mansion. Kagaya may not be the leader here, but that just means he's a man of chaos who can see the chaos he causes. So he mentions to Amane that the guy the Kakushi brought in(and Giyuu mentioned) looks freakishly like the Kochou Sisters' tsuguko. And then suggests they send their new guest to the Butterfly Mansion to double check for injuries.

Tanjurou gets there, and damn near has a heart attack at who he meets.

Their family's hair and eye colour aren't common. He can recognize who it is a mile away. It is his boy, his eldest son, still very much with a pulse and now carting around a sword.

And this is after Mount Natagumo, because I said so, so not long after, Papa Kamado sees his eldest daughter as well. And has a heart attack upon hearing she stabbed herself in the leg to get rid of demon spider venom. Someone please get the poor man some blood pressure meds.

Of course, it's been a decade since he's seen them, so he's a little unsure of how to handle this. Especially since he has no clue how they got here. Both of them seemed fine, and Kanao was there and showed no signs of distress. So what the heck? And neither of the kids are approaching him either, though Nezuko occasionally accompanies Kanao when the older girl comes to talk.

Eventually, he learns what little the Flower, Insect, and Sound Hashira can offer for info. And suddenly things make a lot more sense, even with only a little context.
