SUNSETTER - An Undertale roleswap take
A couple months back I started making a concept for an Underswap take. I'm happy with what I've made thus far.
Tumblr media
Long ago, Monsterkind and Humanity lived together in harmony. But a war sparked, and the peace shattered. The monsters, overpowered, made a bunker, and hid underground. The humans, discovering this, created a machine to keep monsterkind from leaving it, hoping their opponents would eventually die out. And the war soon was long forgotten...
... Eventually, in the year of 202X, a story unfolds.
On the surface are the caverns of Night's Aura. Underneath the earth lies the refuge of Monsterkind...
A bit of information before we get onto characters...
Tumblr media
This is a human's SPIRIT, the very essence of one's being. A monster's spirit, containing seven human's spirits, would become godlike.
Anyways...
The first character swap on the AU is...
Tumblr media
A Flowey - Frisk swap!
Finley is a human kid, around 15 years old. They're a bit of a brat. After running away from home, they hide away in a cave. Picking up sticks to make a fire, they unfortunately discovered some loose ground, and fell into the SETTLEMENT.
The Human is... a human? Maybe. They seem a bit... undead, though. A silent type, seemingly not talking at all. Who knows if they can. They hide and watch from the shadows, acting on instinct alone. No one seems to know they exist. What even are they?
Tumblr media
Next is your average Asgore - Toriel swap!
Asgore is the guide to the OL' TOWN from the OUTSKIRTS, and one who used to be the king of Monsterkind. He's a big fuzzy pushover, just like in Undertale. He's beloved by all in the area. It's a wonder why he's so far from the captial... but he's there to give hope to all that lives in Town.
Toriel is the keeper of the BARRICADE, and the queen of Monsterkind. As of now, all know how she tires from the situation she's in. Many fear her wrath, but others know her warmth. With her mighty blade, Queen TORIEL will set all free.
Tumblr media
As with most Underswap takes, you can't have it without the usual Papyrus - Sans swap!
Papyrus is a skeleton who's lost his ambition. Due to certain circumstances, a goal he once had is completely out of reach. Due to this, he's become a bit more... distant. He's not lazy by any means, but he has a hard time getting up in the morning. Besides all of that, he still shares some visions and ideals as his original self. Though, perhaps someone can come by and help him...
Sans is also a skeleton. The Skeleton, even. He's mainly very similar to his original lazybones self. But he's gotten a little more upbeat and extroverted, in an attempt to help his brother get back to his former greatness. There isn't much else to add, actually. At the core, he really is still Sans, puns, pranks, and all. Though, he does have a few jobs, including working as an assistant for a magical girl vigilante. Though, it's mainly just taking phone calls. They'd be met through SNOHFAL CAVERNS and the CITY OF SNOHFALIN
Tumblr media
I decided to do something interesting for my Alphys - Undyne swap, but the usual thing is still like the average one.
Alphys is the aforementioned magical girl style vigilante in the WETLANDS, trying to make a name for herself. The matters of protection throughout the SETTLEMENT had lessened before she started, due to certain circumstances. She's gotten herself a few fans, stopped a few crimes, supported the local soup kitchen... But she still feels like there's more she can do. Toriel's stressed, and she knows this. So, maybe... she can try to get the next fallen human's SPIRIT on her own.
Undyne is the Queen's Royal Engineer, and a rather good one at that. She's made various ways of making the settlement, and the lives of those that reside in it, better. Though, there's nothing that outdoes the previous ones's greatest creation, MEGA, a generator that powers the entire Settlement. She resides in a laboratory in PYROCLAST Due to certain circumstances, she's much more determined to get the next fallen human's SPIRIT. She's enlisted the help of a ghostly friend of hers to help her do so.
Tumblr media
The Blook Cousins have a different swapping arrangement from normal Underswap Napstablook - Dummy Mettaton - Mad Dummy/Mew Mew
Scarecrow is, well... a scarecrow. A ghost monster possessing a scarecrow, actually. Despite their name, and weird face, they're actually rather shy. They probably just need a little cheering up once in a while. They also really like music.
Bittinaugh (pronounced: bitty-naff) is just your average ghost monster. They don't talk much, though. Who really knows what goes on in that little ghost's head. They're also a shy sort, and a bit sensitive, despite their monotonous expression.
Starcrow is also a ghost monster possessing a scarecrow. Though, they have VERY high aspirations for themself. They wish to be a celebrity, a star for the whole SETTLEMENT to enjoy. After learning about a human's fall through their cousin, they decided that a perfect start to showbiz would be to face one head on!
The "Mad Mew Mew" boss would have them possess a big gundam-like figure, with similarities to Mettaton EX.
Amornalek (pronounced: a-more-na-leck) seems to be your average robotic suit of armor, but she's actually a VENGEFUL SPIRIT!!! Or... just an angry ghost monster possessing the suit. She works with Undyne, and is her best friend... and training dummy for battle practice. They two spar a lot, and it's fun for the both of them. Undyne souped-up her with a TON of weapons. Magic, missiles, knives, a LOT of knives, those knives were kinda Amor's idea.
There's an "EX" form, but I haven't designed it. It would be similar to Mad Mew Mew, but not exactly. It'd also go for more of a mix of cute-yet-violent in design than just cute.
Tumblr media
And finally, Asriel - Chara
Both of them are... more or less the same as in canon. Their life and death are more or less the same. It's just that Undyne was allowed by Queen Toriel to use Chara's corpse for a... certain experiment. Being allowed to do so was due to desperation, and the idea of at least seeing one of her children alive again.
But that's another story. ... Which I'm gonna tell right now.
SOW-WOS - The "Willpower" Experiments
There was an attempt by Undyne to make stronger monsters/warriors, beings able to get past and destroy the barricade. All of the monsters that were experimented on were volunteers, rather than just being on death's door like in Undertale. Each and every volunteer was a member of that time's current Royal Guard.
Each volunteer was given a machine put inside their bodies that courses Willpower, a lifeblood extracted from the previously collected human SPIRITs, throughout their body.
Unfortunately, the volunteers start to become a metallic-like fluid, an immense pull making them come together. Their bones and joints reconfigured within the combined masses. The fluid hardens and loses polarity as they turn from magnetic fluid, to almost a hard metal, like titanium.
The amalgamates form, with a distinct taste in the air... similar to that of copper.
These experiments, Undyne couldn't reveal the full results of, so she locked the masses down below the main lab. She simply recorded that they perished in the experimentation. And what makes things worse, is that the body of the deceased human had disappeared. Learning this, Toriel completely disbanded the Royal Guard, not wanting something like this to happen again. She put Undyne on probation, yet did not completely fire her. The whole thing was an accident, completely unexpected, and the subjects were volunteers. It was not Undyne's fault. But to Undyne, it was. With that on her shoulders, she made it her new mission to get the next human's SPIRIT... By any means necessary.

1/APR/20XX
[After checking the page again, the words have ACTUALLY been written properly this time - with a working pen.]
[A small attached sticky note reads, "heheh. couldn't not, sorry."]
i'm carried out of bed and immediately served chocolate pancakes as papyrus briefs me on the day's plan - all before i even finish waking up fully.
"YOU WANTED TO GO TO AN ARCADE, SO THAT'S WHAT WE'LL DO FIRST - EVERYONE ELSE IS GOING TO MEET US THERE, SO DON'T SAVOUR MY COOKING 𝘛𝘖𝘖 LONG."
" 'k."
"AROUND LUNCHTIME, WE'RE GOING TO STOP BY GRILLBY'S... UNFORTUNATELY."
"AFTER... WE'LL JUST HANG OUT AT MS. TORIEL'S HOUSE FOR THE REST OF THE NIGHT; CONSIDERING IT WOULD BE THE CLOSEST."
"ok."
"sounds good."
"...."
he looks over his shoulder to see me still yawning, giving an eyeroll gesture and placing a cup of hot coffee in front of me.
"CAN'T HAVE YOU FALLING BACK ASLEEP IMMEDIATELY, SO DRINK UP!"
"...doesn't work, remember?"
"..RIGHT."
beside it, he places a cup of ice water.
"THAT SHOULD, RIGHT?"
i mumble an affirmative response. papyrus takes this as good enough.
——
"Yo!"
undyne high-fives papyrus, then grabs me for an aggressive noogie.
"Excited for today, you decrepit bag of bones?!"
"PLEASE BE CAREFUL WITH HIM, UNDYNE."
this diverts her wrath onto papyrus instead.
"PLEASE BE CAREFUL WITH 𝘔𝘌, UNDYNE!!!"
me and alphys fistbump.
"Good choice."
"figured you'd approve."
"S-Still wish they hadn't plastered that creepy ice cube's face EVERYWHERE in this place. Can't even have one bare wall."
"whaaat? ice-e's an icon."
"Of weird c-corporate marketing."
"and unsolvable puzzles."
"They were always that way, then?"
toriel and frisk - flowey wrapped around the kid's arm - wave as they approach.
frisk nods.
"Even the first one Sans and Papyrus set out for me back in Snowdin was unsolvable."
"IT WAS?!"
"Weird letter inconsistency."
"SANS!! YOU NOT ONLY PUT OUT A 𝗖𝗥𝗢𝗦𝗦𝗪𝗢𝗥𝗗 OF ALL THINGS, BUT AN 𝘐𝘔𝘗𝘖𝘚𝘚𝘐𝘉𝘓𝘌 ONE?!?"
"whoops."
"SIGH."
"REALLY, I DON'T KNOW WHY I SIMPLY DIDN'T DO IT ALL MYSELF!!"
"I CERTAINLY WOULD HAVE CAPTURED THE HUMAN WITH EASE."
"ER-"
"I'M!! GLAD I DIDN'T THOUGH, NOW!!!"
we chat for a while more before actually going inside -
"I MISS THE SUN ALREADY."
- and splitting off towards the games each of us preferred. toriel simply stuck by me to observe whatever i decided on.
somehow, at some point, we ended up just playing air hockey really badly.
𝘤𝘭𝘢𝘤𝘬. 𝘤𝘭𝘢𝘤𝘬. 𝘤𝘭𝘢𝘤𝘬.
"Is this how you play??"
"is this how you play???"
repeatedly smacking the pushers together, the puck was ignored.
——
papyrus won a scary amount of tickets and used them to redeem two dart guns. one was instantly hijacked by undyne, who cackled after ricocheting a dart off papyrus' skull. she was going to fire at me, but
"You're spared for today. Don't think I won't get you another time, though!!!"
"..cool."
grillby's wasn't far, and the weather was pleasant, so walking was actually pretty alright.
the bar erupts into noise as we show up. there was a barrage of questions and comments about everyone and everything, but the chaos made any recollections of it blurry. (fun chaos, don't get me wrong.)
i waited for the right moment - somehow, i knew it would happen.
my brother raises his glass of milk.
"WILL EVERYONE PLEASE RISE AND GIVE A TOAST TO MY BROTHER, SANS, WHOSE BIRTHDAY IT IS TODAY?!"
a roaring sound that resembles a "YEAH!!" as everyone in the restaurant rises to their feet.
i move quickly, placing one on each seat - unnoticed amidst the commotion.
"THREE..."
"TWO..."
"ONE!"
"HAPPY BIRTHDAY, SANS!!!"
appearing beside my brother as if i'd not moved at all, i clink a bottle of ketchup with the various other beverages being lifted.
and then a loud,
deafening,
𝙋𝙋𝘽𝘽𝘽𝘽𝘽𝙁𝙁𝙁𝙏𝙏𝙏𝙏
as everyone sits back down.
it was beautiful. enough to make a grown man cry.
tears of laughter, that is.
a magician clown never reveals his secrets, but i sure was asked "HOW?!" a lot.
——
the sun has just finished setting. for the first time today, it's quiet. a gentle breeze cools the day down. toriel and i hang around on the porch to take it in - myself sat upon the rail.
"Are you truly alright with not getting much...?"
"yeah."
"spendin' time with you folks is all i wanted."
"and i got it, so."
"seems like a pretty good birthday to me."
"Still, it feels lackluster to have shown up empty-handed."
"i mean. you brought cake."
"That is a given."
"here."
"if you're really concerned about me not getting any gifts..."
"..."
i gave her a goofy grin.
"gonna be corny for a sec, hope you don't mind."
"I do not have a 𝘤𝘰𝘣-lem with it."
"In fact, I am all 𝘦𝘢𝘳𝘴."
in that moment, i couldn't have been more certain.
i push myself up into my knees to deposit a quick kiss on her cheek.
"...that can be my gift."
dropping myself back down to sit on the porch rail.
". . ."
"sorry for suddenly 𝘱𝘰𝘱𝘱𝘪𝘯𝘨 that onto you. wanted to 𝘦𝘢𝘳nestly-"
puns were halted as my mouth became suddenly occupied with something else.
when she eventually let go, i found myself sputtering momentarily trying to find my words.
"There. You being on the receiving end makes it much more of a gift, does it not?"
"i-"
"i, uh."
"thought i was supposed to initiate it??"
"The cheek is close enough. And that one, you did."
"I will count it."
"....."
"there's another thing i'm s'posed to do."
"a ques-"
toriel puts her hand over my mouth.
"Do not ask it today."
"We would have to celebrate our anniversaries on your birthday."
"what? you don't want a double-event?"
"There is a multitude of reasons."
"shoot."
"...?"
"gimme 'em. gimme the reasons."
"Firstly, birthdays are to be spent with a multitude of friends and loved ones. Anniversaries are for spending with the romantic interest. To do both of those at once would be impossible."
"Secondly, it would subtract from the specialness of each as well."
"Thirdly-"
"it'd be easier to remember."
she hadn't noticed me slowly inching my face closer and closer to her own until i spoke.
"Th-"
"birthversary rolls right off the tongue, too."
"..."
"I'll show YOU a tongue."
she suddenly sticks out her tongue. my proximity causes me to have to back away quickly.
too quickly.
toriel leaps forward and wraps an arm around me to stop me from going completely backwards off the rail.
"I did not mean for that to happen."
"good catch."
"Oddly, not the first time you have fallen from my railing."
"yeah, i'm gettin' 𝘳𝘢𝘪𝘭 good at doing that accidentally."
"Hehehe."
"Do I need to install rails for my rails?"
"gonna box me in, huh?"
"If it will stop you from falling, then maybe I will."
𝘬𝘯𝘰𝘤𝘬, 𝘬𝘯𝘰𝘤𝘬.
"WE'VE DECIDED ON A SLEEPOVER-"
we both looked to the back door.
with a blanket draped over his right arm, papyrus stopped speaking to stare at us blankly for a moment.
arms wrapped around each other, being bent over the rail, her hips between my legs...
"..I ASSUME YOU ARE BUSY."
"....."
"might be a minute."
promptly spinning 180 on his heels, papyrus went back inside; carrying the same expression the whole time.
immediately bursting into laughter, tori lifts me up the rest of the way and places me on the porch.
"Awkward-looking situations seem to be your forte, my dear."
"no kidding."
"At least it was Papyrus."
"yeah."
"..."
"so, can i ask you the-"
"Another time."
"ok."

Fai's Fic Ramble: The GorseTale AU (bare basics)
Ever since roughly... 2017 I think, there been a single Undertale fanfic I've been tapping away at and though it's nowhere near done or even organised enough for me to think about posting chapter 1 on A03, I recently posted a spinoff fic related to it called Eight Coloured Picture about the deaths of all the fallen humans and how some monsters each time were effected by their passing, and well.
I wanna ramble about the main story that fic comes from for a bit!
So.
Working Title: 'Gorse, Blackthorn and Buttercups' I also call it GorseTale in my head for short since Gaijin Goombah's rather fun video on why Undertale's Golden Flowers are most likely Gorse was a HUGE inspiration for the fic back when I started out (it's er changed quiet a bit since then but I'm keeping the flower vibes because Chara likes them and I did way too much research into both practical and symbolic uses for plants in the Underground for this fic not to use at least some of it at some point XD).
Core premise: Story is a Slice of Life/Drama AU set around Frisk being born in the Underground and taken in by Toriel right around the time of 'Undertale canon' (for Undertale Yellow fans, roughly a year or so after Clover's death), and through a series of domino effects stemming from that, various monsters of the Underground are confronted with the flaws of both themselves and their kingdom, and as a result start putting in effort to try fixing things so the little human child they've become so attached to can actually live their life to the fullest without fear of being murdered just for being born a non monster.
Aka: Toriel and Sans experience the joys and terror of co-parenting a child who only survives past the age of 3 because they have phenomenal cosmic power. Papyrus discovers the Royal Guard is NOT in fact something he wants to join (and accidentally becomes politically active in an effort to right by his new nibbling). Undyne takes some time to really rethink her career path and motives. Alphys somehow manages to turn former mistakes into miracles (oh and cures death maybe). Mettaton learns to take time off and share the spotlight, and finally King Asgore gets a surprising amount of hope in encouraging peaceful rebellion against his own accidental dictatorship.
Main cast: Rotates a bit since every major monster (and Flowey) matters in this and who's most in focus depends on the exact arc but Toriel, Sans, Papyrus, Chara and Frisk are the ones who I have the most planned scenes for since well, they're where the 'domino effect' starts.
Ships: Fic is pretty gen for the most part but leaning Undyne/Alphys, Papyrus/Mettaton (who knew all Paps needed to become popular was to openly try convincing monster kind that killing all the humans is wrong in front of a very specific underground star XD), and some very very very slowburn Sans/Toriel (is teased throughout the story because Sans IS Frisk's other parent Sans just means 'Dad' in Frisk speak and I find various Monsters' "Wait Sans has a kid- Wait Sans is married?!" reactions hilarious (Paps giving 'context' to why he suddenly has a nibbling to Undyne especially) but actual, real Soriel doesn't happen until near the very end because Toriel is Not Ok, Sans leans AroAce/Demi and both agree that while the odd kiss, hug or 'real talk' is fine neither up for anything more than that right now. Also Toriel has yet to get a formal divorce and er, she can't even think of him for much of the fic without wanting to set him on fire so... Yeah). Also considering Mad Mewmew/Asgore (because funny but also oddly sweet), and Mettaton trying to get over a crush on Alphys at the start (due to Mettaton's Winter Alarmclock dialogue reframing all of Mettaton's actions in canon in a whole newlight for me), but for the most part romance really isn't a focus.
Things to set it apart from every other 'Frisk grows up in the Underground' fanfic:
A LOT of worldbuilding focus on stuff how monsters get food and materials.
Toriel teaching everyone how Monster society was before the War vs now (aka lots of cultural trauma themes here).
More emphasis on how little Monster society these days really knows about things they really should given their Kingdom's plans.
Sans 'timeline trauma' getting tossed out the window for joining Toriel in 'worried parent' stress (hard to be upset about LOADS when they're specifically stopping a toddler you love from getting murdered).
Papyrus accidentally making everything better just because for the sake of his nibblet he can't back down.
FLOWER SYMBOLISM AND DISCUSSING THE UNDERGROUND'S VERY IMPORTANT PLANT LIFE!
Undyne having a character growth arc triggered by Papyrus.
Mettaton having a character growth arc triggered by Papyrus (and a passing mention of Napstablook).
Alphys not being fired post Amalgamite reveal making her realize she has in fact actually kinda created the cure for death (by 'Falling Down') or at the very least is only maybe three steps away from that and actually works on that alongside a bunch of other stuff with other scientists because working alone sucked.
Lots of focus on the humans who fell before Frisk because their lives mattered! and also the Blue Soul was Kris because damn if I don't feel the need to really hammer in Toriel's trauma caused by Asgore here
NarraChara and Napstablook being ghost buddies =D they suck at it but Chara will take literally anyone who can hear them for company and Napstablook feels bad about that
Snowdin being secretly a hub of human sympathisers! (None of them knew they weren't the only ones).
MONSTER RADIO and ANIME/WESTERNS ON TV!
Tems and the Riverperson mattering while still being true to their very weird selves!!!
Asgore learning that he DOES in fact have a lot of influence and that maybe, juuust maybe, that his screw ups were worse for his Kingdom than he already thought (don't worry Asgore fans, despite my having to write a lot of Asgore grr due to Toriel being a major character, saving him and showing how much he loves his people is a major goal of mine <3). He still f%cked up majorly though XD
Frisk dealing with, well, the stress of growing up in a place that says their death would make everyone (except their immediate loved ones) happy and constantly having to live in hiding/disguise...
Flowey being a murderous little shit but also not having reset power and both Frisk and Chara in his life again.
Undertale Yellow and Deltarune characters! Who probably won't be in focus a lot but they've helped me out a ton for fleshing the out my setting so I will 100% be giving them at least a little screen time to make up for that (like Amalgamate Kanako playing with Frisk, and Martlet and Noelle being VERY interesting in Papyrus's 'Lets not kill the humans' movement for reasons our main characters will eventually learn <3).
Oh and a huge amount of 'Unseen in game' areas I made for the Underground which include:
SnowDen: a 'town' of Dog and Rabbit made tunnels underneath the ENTIRE Snowdin region (connects to every dog sentry post, the 'Toby Fox secret area' and the 'very efficiently laid out' travel tunnels seen in canon Undertale). Generally requires those living there to get through given how winding and confusing the tunnels can get (all guideposts are puzzles made with scent markers...).
TooHot: basically a 'lethal lava land' housing district for fire monsters below general Hotland. Predates the Wat and is too hot for most non fire monsters to go anywhere near (the current name was given by Asgore though).
Cliffstop: a 'thin' vertical crevice monsters in New Home unearthed a while back that goes from from all the way to the very top of Mt Ebott down to the dark of the Abyss below (locals there call the top of the area Clifftop and the lowest safe for travel Cliffdrop). Gets a fair bit of sun and has flying room so it's popular with plant and flying monsters but the cliffs are very unstable so the bottom is covered in rope nets to prevent accidents. Most puzzles about the place are moving rope bridges, loading up vertical conveyer belts with the correct weights and 'light and mirror' puzzles.
Riverfolk Waterway and True Tem Village: settlements hidden deep within Waterfall's 'unreachable in canon' winding waterways. The former is a small inlet where 'Riverfolk' monsters like the Riverperson have a small collection of boathouses they dock at, and the later is exactly what is sounds like, with the 'Temmie Village' we see in canon being merely a Temmie trading outpost. Can accessed only by Riverperson boat or the Temmie's secret tunnels and is home to all sorts of cool things like the Temmie 'Colleg' and 'DEEP HISTORY mUSEEum'~ XD
WebbInn 'the Spider district': Mostly a giant communal spider web hanging Hotland's ceiling but also connected to a tunnel that goes up near Mt Ebbot's peak (the spiders have been digging upwards in hopes of getting a 'sunspot' they can use to advertise their 'sweet little town' to tourists). Has a... Very distinctive culture compared to the rest of the Underground and the 'puzzles' there tend towards being 'social' in nature (aka fey logic games where how you speak and act gets you directed every which way).
Starlite Strip: A little connecting area right underneath the path/cliff Monster Kid and Frisk see the castle while travelling through Waterfall in Undertale Canon. Not a big settlement on its own but something of a trading hub for monsters from New Home and the surrounding areas in Waterfall to buy and sell goods (also has a LOT of Royal Guard presence which is why absolutely no one in Undertale recommends it to the very human Frisk). Very sparkly but in a gentle 'crystals, glowing water and fire flies' kinda way.
And... Yeah. Wanna post a full script of what I've got planned so far but this post is already massive so will do that in a bit.
Will say though that the general ending plan for this fic arguably goes full fix fic with:
12-14 year old Frisk comes out as human publicly and goes through the entire Underground arguing their case (something the Underground has been publicly debating for the last 10 years or so thanks to a very motivated Papyrus and a wanting more ratings + genuinely interested Mettaton).
Undyne attempts to kill them but well, she's only going all out because she and Paps had a deal about this (he vowed that he'd defend any innocent human from her killing them so she could still go all out at her job) and Frisk knows that.
Mettaton gets to do THE biggest and most historically important interview in the Underground's history.
Asgore declares that the Underground will try out this whole 'everyone in the kingdom votes' thing on both the upcoming war and how they will treat humans living here because he wants to make sure he's doing what his people want (Mettaton asks what Asgore will vote but Asgore, finally realizing his own influence, refuses to say).
Asgore and Frisk spend a nice, if slightly nervously time together drinking tea and talking about the future while the votes are being counted. (Toriel and others may join them but mostly this is Asgore getting to know... the last of Toriel's adopted children she told him about the others when she asked for a divorce).
Monsters choose wisely because for all this fic is 'Monsters are flawed too!' they are good people and I want to make that clear <3
Cue Frisk publically trying to help break the barrier while being very alive...
Flowey pulling a 'God of Hyper Death' except well, he, Frisk and Chara maaay have discussed a bit of this beforehand (Flowey did want the souls and this would get him them), so er, the fight might be a touch more mixed with genuine anger and playfulness. Note: Still working out the exacts.
The human SOULs get brought back to life as monsters while Flowey gets a SOUL of his own and Chara gets enough magical matter to be visible to people other than Frisk (it required less waste of the accumulated magic, the soul of an additional human another girl falling into the Ruins was what got Frisk deciding to come out actually, the kids using a bunch of Alphys' furthered research on the interplay between Determination, matter and Dust, and breaking down the dead humans' bodies for enough 'compatible matter' to work with, and the destruction and repurposing of the Barrier but hey! Back to life! Or arguably Chara's case an upgrade to proper ghost-hood). Oh and the Amalgamates that want it are safely separated but not sure if that's a 'before no' thing or a 'here in this big finale' thing~ XD
And yeah. That's all of my 'extra happy ending just because I can' stuff the entire fic eventually builds towards. Will post all my planned scenes/'domino effect planning' some other time but for now I'm done.
If you liked any ideas in this feel free to use them please (I'm a slow ass writer and I write what I want to see more of in the world XD) and er, hope this was a fun ramble to read <3

UNDERTALE BOYFRIEND/GIRLFRIEND SCENARIOS
Christmas!
Tumblr media
-TORIEL
Toriel loves Christmas.
She loves to make Christmas cookies and host a Christmas party.
During the party, a giant gift exchange happens and there's food and music and everyone catches up with each other.
The first time you spent Christmas with her, you and Frisk made a gift together for her.
It was a hand made little goat mug that Frisk wrote "Best Mom Ever!" on.
She loved it and she uses it every day.
After the party is over, Toriel makes hot coco for everyone and she steals a cheek kiss from you under the mistletoe.
Then she turns on the Grinch because Frisk loves that movie.
"Merry Christmas (Y/n)."
-SANS
Christmas with sans is always fun.
You two go to Toriel's Christmas party and it's a blast.
Sans wears an ugly Christmas sweater and he carries around a little thing of mistletoe so that he can have an excuse to get a kiss anytime he wants.
The first time you spent Christmas with Sans, you got him a dozen ketchup bottles.
You've never seen him any happier than he was then.
That same year, Sans spiked the eggnog and Toriel ended up kicking him out early.
"what? i thought it would've been funny!"
-PAPYRUS
Papyrus absolutely ADORES Christmas.
It's his favorite holiday!
He covers the Christmas tree in bones and plays Christmas music all day every day from the beginning of December all the way to Christmas day.
You two also make gingerbread houses.
You two go to the Christmas party at Toriel's and it's very fun.
Papyrus preforms karaoke while you eat food with your friends and watch him in admiration.
Then you help him and Undyne pass out presents after everyone is done eating.
The first time you celebrated Christmas with him, you bought him a custom apron that said "Kiss the Great Papyrus".
After the party, you and Papyrus watch Elf and set up cookies for Santa.
"(Y/N)! HOW MANY COOKIES SHOULD WE LEAVE FOR SANTA?!"
-UNDYNE
Undyne loves Christmas with all her heart.
But she absolutely despises hearing Christmas songs over and over and over again.
When you two go to Toriel's Christmas party, she brings earmuffs so that she doesn't have to listen to the same music repeat over and over.
Then after everyone is done eating, you help her and Papyrus pass out Christmas presents.
Although Sans was the one who spiked the eggnog the first year you spent Christmas with her, she also had some and made the party go crazy.
The first time you spent Christmas with her, you bought her a katana since you knew she was little bit of a weeb.
When you two got home, you two immediately went to sleep.
"MERRY CHRISTMAS, (Y/N)! FUCK YEAH!"
-ALPHYS
Alphys isn't one for socializing, but she does end up going to Toriel's Christmas party because she knows everyone there.
Alphys isn't a huge fan of Christmas, but she doesn't hate it either.
She's very indifferent about holidays.
However, she does love listening to Christmas songs that are soft and slow.
The first time you spent Christmas with her and everyone else, you got her a dozen packets of hot coco.
It was the first time she ever had it and she loved it.
After the party, you two stay up and watch Anime Christmas specials.
"W-Want any hot coco (Y/n)?"
-METTATON
Mettaton is a star.
And he's upset that he can't up at the top of the tree.
So your gift to him was a little star ornament of himself.
He loved it.
During the Christmas party, he and Papyrus preform karaoke.
And he always gets everyone very expensive gifts.
After the party, you two watch old Christmas movies because they melt his robot heart.
"OH DARLING, LOOK AT HOW CUTE I AM SITTING ON THE TREE!"
-ASGORE
Asgore loves Christmas!
He doesn't go to Toriel's Christmas party due to obvious reasons. But he sends everyone a "Merry Christmas" text and mails them a gift.
Undyne and Alphys will visit him and then head over to Toriel's party.
So until you came along, he wasn't too big of a fan of Christmas.
Christmas was a lonely holiday for him.
But now he can snuggle up to you by the fire during Christmas and kiss you under the mistletoe.
The first time you spent Christmas with him, you bought him a little locket with a picture of you two inside and he absolutely adored it.
He never takes it off.
"I'm so happy that I can spend my Christmas with you (Y/n)."
-GRILLBY
Grillby likes Christmas, he makes a special kind of minty alcohol to sell during the holidays.
But then once it's Christmas Eve, he closes up shop, makes warm hot coco and shares a lovely little Christmas with you while you two watch Christmas movies.
Your first Christmas spent with him, you bought him an fire-proof sweater.
"...Merry Christmas."
-MUFFET
Muffet isn't as big of a fan of Christmas as she is for Halloween but she still loves Christmas.
She makes Christmas themed desserts and instead of putting tinsel around the Christmas tree, she puts spiderwebs around it.
The first time you spent Christmas with her, you bought her several pairs of tiny pink boots for her spiders.
It was Papyrus's idea.
"Oh dearie! These are adorable! Thank you!"
-GASTER
Gaster doesn't like how Christmas came to be, because he doesn't understand a Christian's beliefs.
But he'll participate anyway because of holiday traditions like mistletoe, gift giving, and making gingerbread houses with you and Papyrus.
Before you two go to the Christmas party at Toriel's, you two go and visit Asgore.
Then after the Christmas party is over, you two will watch The Nightmare Before Christmas.
He also hangs up mistletoe above your bed so that you have to kiss him goodnight and kiss him good morning.
"💣︎♏︎❒︎❒︎⍓︎ 👍︎♒︎❒︎♓︎⬧︎⧫︎❍︎♋︎⬧︎ (✡︎/☠︎)."
[Hope you enjoyed. Stay tuned for more and have a good day]

Fresh is the most OP character in the entire Undertale Multiverse/Undertale timelines.
So we know Fresh is an alien parasite that originally showed up and managed to take a Sans in a normal Undertale timeline. What's stopping him from taking literally anyone else?
He could take Papyrus. He's trusting enough, so one thing is that he would befriend him and wait until he's say, asleep or something. Papyrus also dresses weird enough so he could probably come up with something cool for him.
He could take Grillby. Sure he's a fire elemental but Fresh is an alien parasite who could've honestly come from Mercury or some other unliveable planet. With the outfit changes Fresh does, he would probably be like "oh this? I wanted some new suit options."
He could take Mettaton(he may be a ghost but he's kinda merged for lack of better words with his new robot body so he can't just hop out, he's gone now).
Hell, he could take Temmie. She's already weird enough so it wouldn't be that suspicious if she found a new set of outfits she liked, especially if Fresh learned enough Temmish, he could totally pass as her!
What about Asgore? He's old, people would assume he is having a midlife crisis. "Dang I can't believe it took so many decades for the divorce to finally get to him."
He could take Undyne while she is sleeping. She's missing an eye, so it wouldn't be quite so difficult. And she has an eye patch so they'd never see him.
Alphys is generally pretty weak, just nerdy and stuff. If he can stay off of her cameras and get her, she's gone.
He could also take any of the amalgamates from her basement aka the true lab. It wouldn't be very ideal given the amount of souls he would have in there to stave off of controlling the body, but really that's just the dog one to worry about.

oct 7 - "please stop saying 'nuts'."
prompt: chestnuts rating: g wordcount: 744 characters: Papyrus, Sans, Undyne warnings: none prompt from this post, read it on ao3 here
——
"Brother," Papyrus says, from behind him, "... Aren't... Aren't roasted chestnuts a... Gyftmas tradition?"
"Huh?" He asks, from where he's sitting, merrily roasting chestnuts over a fire that Undyne set while cooking, "Oh. Yeah, I guess. Weird."
Papyrus is silent for a long moment, and when Sans glances over he's giving him an uncomprehending look. Sans quickly averts his eyes back to his chestnuts to hide the grin pulling at his mouth. Harmless little practical jokes like these are fun, because the worst thing he's doing is confusing Papyrus and anyone else who happens to pop by their house and see him roasting chestnuts over their flaming countertop.
"... Where did you even get chestnuts?" Papyrus finally asks, sounding truly confounded, "I know you didn't buy them the last time we were at the store. I don't think the grocery store we go to even sells chestnuts."
"Meh," He says, "Don't worry about it, Paps."
"I am very worried about it, Sans!"
Thankfully, despite how confounded he sounds, he's definitely not as upset about it as he's pretending he is. Papyrus is well-trained in the fine arts of playing along and committing to the bit — two of the very precious few things he learned from Sans that neither of them resents him learning, and both are a particular Sans-flavored type of nonsense that Undyne is woefully unprepared to deal with.
Papyrus-flavored nonsense is Undyne's specialty, after all the years that she's known him.
Sans-flavored nonsense still leaves her floundering more often than not, especially when Papyrus deigns to participate in it.
When he glances over his shoulder again, she does, indeed, look like she's floundering. She's completely flabbergasted, in fact.
"Why, bro? You don't think I didn't get enough for everybody, do ya?" He asks, innocent as a newborn pup. "There'll be plenty to go around."
"The quantity of the nuts is of no concern to me," Papyrus dismisses, with a keen and mischievous glint in his eyelights Sans can't help feeling proud of, "I am far more concerned over the means by which you acquired the nuts, Sans."
The best part of bits like this is that they're so painfully normal for he and Papyrus' relationship that most of the fun comes from seeing how long they can drag it out before one of them cracks. Frankly, Papyrus usually folds first, because he reaches a point where he can't help laughing as he begs Sans to please stop so he can get back to being productive. Today, though, Sans is barely clinging to his composure.
For some reason, having an 'argument' with Papyrus about the means by which he acquired the chestnuts he's roasting is just hitting him right where it metaphorically hurts. It's really getting him.
Maybe it's that Papyrus keeps saying 'nuts'.
He begins to open his mouth to reply, but he's cut off by Undyne.
"You know, actually, smallfry, I'm also concerned about the means by which you acquired those nuts." She says, even more confounded than Papyrus.
"Yes, as you should be. His acquisition of these nuts truly a mystery!" Papyrus says.
Sans can't help it. He breaks.
He shoves his face into his hand and laughs helplessly into his metacarpals like that'll do anything at all to muffle him. "Oh my God, Paps," He half-wheezes, "Please stop saying 'nuts'."
"Only if you tell me how you got the nuts." Says Papyrus, merciless.
"Stars," Sans gasps, trying to sober himself, "I— I bought them last Gyftmas, Paps. There was a seasonal promotion. They're pre-roasted. I'm just setting them on fire for the laughs."
"Of course you are," Papyrus sighs, but he sounds amused, "I suppose I'll stop saying that word, then. Can I put the fire out now?"
"Yeah." He snickers, "Go for it. Undyne's face was worth the effort."
"It very was," Papyrus agrees, to which Undyne gasps in offense.
"You nerds were just trying to get a reaction out of me!" She deduces, "I oughta wallop you both!"
"Wallop me twice," Says Papyrus, as he grabs the fire extinguisher, "Sans can't take it."
"Rude." Sans says, knowing very well that he's completely correct, "But yeah, we were. You should be used to that by now"
"You're a horrible influence on him!" Undyne says, but he knows she's joking and he therefore doesn't mind, "Turning my bestie against me like this. And for what? Laughs?"
"Well, yeah. Always."
The fire is put out in short order, and Sans hucks the chestnuts straight into the trash. Hopefully Undyne won't set anything else on fire tonight, because he's running out of random items to burn over the flames to mess with her.

Sorting Undertale
Right, so this is using the sortinghatchats system. It used to use Harry Potter terms, but a certain Rowling can go [DATA EXPUNGED], so some people now use the mascot animals instead of the House names, which I will also do.
Anyway, the "primary" is one's motivation and the "secondary" is one's method. There's also models and burning and other complications, which I'll explain when I get there. (Now, if you do know the system, this is being written by a Bird/Bird (rapid fire) with a Badgersec model.)
Also, Undertale spoilers for every corner of the game, including the best ending, various neutral endings, and the... let's call it the Having A Bad Time route.
Toriel - Lion primary, Badger secondary
Now, you'd think that the kind mother who loves her children would be a Badger, right? And yeah, she's an incredibly stereotypical Badger secondary. She literally introduces herself as a caretaker, she loves baking, she's already set up a room for you, and she wants to be a teacher.
But what happens when she sees Asgore declaring that killing human children was the only possible way to proceed? Her conscience cannot bear the idea of her being accessory to atrocity, so she leaves.
It's not because he betrayed her. It's because he's doing something wrong.
Papyrus - Lion primary, Lion secondary
Idealistic, loud, direct, and earnestly inspirational, this guy is a double Lion as classic as they come.
He believes that he is awesome, but he just as unfailingly believes that you are awesome too. He believes in the ideal that all people can be good if they try. Undyne knows about the steadfastness and power of this ideal - this is why she can't let him join the Royal Guard (for fear of him being reduced to "little smiling shreds"), and why she later enlists Papyrus to teach Alphys self-esteem (having faith that he can convince her).
He wants friends - and popularity and acceptance, not ideals, are his reasons for wanting to join the Royal Guard - but he's not desperate for affection the way a sad Badger or Snake might be. Sans and Undyne help a lot here.
Now for the Lion Secondary. How does he try to join the Royal Guard? Why, by going directly to Undyne and demanding to join. (Her own Lion Secondary recognizes and admires that gumption, which is why she takes him in.)
And his response to you doing mass murder is to stand in your way, refuse to move, and tell you that he forgives you and believes that you can do better. No ego, no (outward) fear, no aggression. He just states what he believes in, and then forces you to either turn back or cut him down.
Undyne - Badger primary, Lion secondary
Nominally Undyne works for the Royal Guard. But what she actually works for is the people of the land. All of them, from the littlest children all the way up to Asgore and everyone in between. "Our hearts beating as one" and all that. The thing that convinces me that this is a Badger and not a Lion is that this care isn't just in the abstract: when a Monster Kid she doesn't know shows up, she tells them off and drags them away... not for interfering with her job or causing false alarms, but to keep them safe. Even when she has been mortally wounded, she's more worried about getting the kid somewhere safe than about herself. That and, in some of the endings, she visits schools just to interact with (and bench-press) the children.
Secondary? Lion. Lion lion lion. If the problem can be brute-forced, she will smash facefirst into it at full speed. The green soul mode prevents you from escaping and forces you to take danger head-on, making you fight on her terms, the way she is comfortable with. She doesn't bother telling you the traditional history of this world like she's supposed to do before fighting you, because she's going to kill you anyway so what's the point?
She positively radiates determination, both the metaphysical substance and the concept. Her Lion secondary shines so brightly that it's possible you may never have noticed the Badger underneath.
Alphys - unhealthily self-effacing Snake Primary, Bird Secondary. Burnt Badger Secondary Model? (less sure about this one)
Alphys created Mettaton's body as a favor for a friend. Asgore asked her to be the Royal Scientist and told her that he wanted her to work on DT and human soul magic. She doesn't do her science for a noble abstract cause, she does it for people. And unlike Undyne, it's for a few specific people - everyone else, she pushes away.
The trouble is, she thinks she is not on the list of people that deserve to be cared about. She tries to "trick" (?) you into being her friend because that's the only way she can think of to feel less awful about herself, but I don't think that's conscious.
The fact that she just stops answering the phone for fear that it's the demands of people she doesn't know is a kind of anxious paralysis that could theoretically also be a super burnt Lion or Badger, but a common Snake failure mode is to wall oneself away from the world at large, so it's probably that.
Her Secondary's pretty clearly Bird. Her plan for making friends with you is to plan and stage everything ahead of time; when caught off-guard she panics and tries to pull out other information she already knows. (Just turn off the power to the entire section so the grid of lasers becomes safe to cross, why don't you.)
Her genuine love for anime is what sustains her. It's what she cares about 100% at maximum power, according to Undyne. But it's not a blind passion - it's a discerning thought-out one. She has reasons for not liking Mew Mew Kissy Cutie 2. Trust the bird secondary to be able to write an essay at the drop of a hat. (Yes, this is a self-own. I wrote about 80% of this post in a fugue one night... I barely even had to do any research...)
This being said, when her DT experiments go wrong, she doubles down and keeps going. And she never stops taking care of the Amalgamates. I think she feels an obligation to be a Badger, because monster society is positively brimming with them, so she got very good at imitating it. It's not just a Performance, either, because she does it when no one is watching and there would be no real consequences for failure. So that makes it a Model.
... but she also thinks it's an obligation that has long since proven that it does nothing but hurt her and everyone around her. It's just her going through the motions. That's why it's burnt.
Mettaton - Lion (Glory Hound subtype) Primary, Snake Secondary
Mettaton is a performer. He wants to be seen, to be talked about, to have attention, to have fans. There doesn't seem to be any other underlying emotion about acceptance or whatever driving that; he wants eyes on him as an end in itself. Even the way you spare him involves convincing him that he's already got more than enough fans where he is, ones he has no competition for.
The Glory Hound Lion is a nonstandard presentation of Lion whose fundamental intuitions - instead of being something noble and moral - are solely and entirely pointed towards Being Seen. Smells like Mettaton.
His Secondary is classic Snake. He is whatever the show needs him to be. And if the show turns out to be a wrestling-style battle to the death - something he has never done before and will never do again - he becomes someone who can do that, immediately and flawlessly.
Asgore - Burnt Badger (Traditionalist subtype) primary, Badger secondary
Asgore's primary is hard for me to pin down because he is very, very burned, and is now leaning almost entirely on his secondary to mask his despair. There is almost no motivation left for me to make any observations of. He is too traumatized to make any decisions. Which, fair, the death of both of your children in one day will do that to you. But let's see the few times he does.
He feels an obligation to follow what he said that day, even though it was a momentary fit of passion where he promised to commit seven murders, because that's what promises are. Is that a good clue? No, I think promises are just valued that highly in monster society. See also the scene in the MTT Resort restaurant where Sans mentions that if he hadn't made a promise to keep you safe, "you'd be dead where you stand". To monsters, promises are life-and-death things.
He declared war on all humankind after the whole thing with his children, which is classic Badger dehumanization: when things go terribly, terribly wrong, a Badger reconciles their need to care about everyone with the clear evidence that they can't by deciding that These Are No Longer People. But I don't really see him shrinking his circle of care like a typical burnt Badger.
See, Asgore is a Traditionalist Badger, rather than the more typically seen community-driven Badger - one more dedicated to customs and traditions than to the people involved. I mean, when you're that old, investing yourself in fleeting life after fleeting life can get kinda difficult. So if a Traditionalist Badger burns, that means they've lost faith in the idea that anything can or should be upheld.
And indeed: in a Neutral ending, he is convinced surprisingly easily to spare you, to turn his back on the entire hundred years and six murders he has already committed. Promise or no promise, he's just tired and wants to stop.
Now, he's a clear Badger Secondary, which he shares with his ex-wife Toriel. He distributes presents to children in Snowdin. He waters the flowers. Under the burden of utter despair he just keeps plodding along faithfully, doing what needs to be done.
Flowey/Asriel: Burnt Snake primary, Badger secondary
Asriel loved his family. Flowey is tormented by his inability to feel love, and believes that this means he has no emotions left. But, like, he does show emotion! He demonstrates glee and resentment and fear! But they are not the love that used to be the central driving force of his life, so they do not matter. He can't care about people, so therefore his life no longer has meaning.
And so he retreats into solipsism as a defense mechanism. All people are fake and he is the only thing left that matters. Classic Burnt Snake.
Now for the Secondary. When he is in your face he is certainly terrifying... but first and foremost he is persistent and patient. He's continued for dozens, possibly hundreds, of resets. He says he tried every way he could think of to get Asgore to show him the souls. He didn't drag you straight to Asgore; he watched you bumble and fail and experiment, occasionally snarking at you.
So, Built Secondary for sure. Now, which one? The methodical and absolutely exhaustive nature of his investigation ("what would they do if I said this/gave them that?") points weakly towards a Badger. But the real tiebreaker for me here is, it would be so poignant for the child of Badgers to also be a Badger, and to have kept that part of himself despite everything...
Sans - Lion primary with Snake primary model, burnt Bird secondary
All right, so people love the Megalovania incident, and I'll get to that. You're probably wondering why he isn't completely burnt, and I'll get to that too.
First, the easy part. His secondary is the remnants of a Bird. Sure, he no longer believes that he can accomplish anything, so he's long since stopped trying. But he already thought of passwords for just in case he ever encounters a time traveler. He reads at least one quantum physics book for fun, disguising it as a joke book to make himself seem less intimidating. He sets up elaborate pranks across time and space. And he knows the metaphysical laws of his reality and how to exploit them, to the point where he can effectively turn physics itself against you. Yes, he did almost all of that before he Burnt, but this little stub left of the Bird Secondary that he once was still lets him act when he absolutely must.
He doesn't care about much, but he does enjoy bad puns, his brother, and hanging out at the local bar drinking... uh... Anyway, his brother is the one thing he loves more than life itself, and on the rare occasions that he gets scary it's because you've threatened him. If you kill Papyrus, he just straight-up disappears from the rest of the game. So, extremely sad Snake?
This is not a case of burnt-badger-looks-like-a-snake: he does not and has never showed any signs of caring for monsterkind on a macro level. I think all the despair has only really burnt his secondary: the reason he's so depressed is because he believes that nothing he does matters. Everything will get reset. The machine is unfixable. He will never achieve anything. So, he has decided that the one thing that can give his life meaning is the one person who makes him genuinely happy. Snake gives him a purpose and something to stay alive for - and it's not even especially burnt, because it brings him real joy. That's it. Right?
Indeed, he's a Snake primary 99% of the time. But there is a glimmer of something underneath. It could be him going through an unburning character arc entirely offscreen, but I don't think he's spending the whole game contemplating and questioning the true basis of his morality. That would be effort, and Sans does not do effort. So, what's underneath it?
Think about the way he shows up in the Last Corridor. Despite saying that he will judge you, in the neutral route he just defines some terms and tells you to contemplate how it feels - and then he says that as long as you're honest with yourself and your feelings, that's all that matters. (At least the first time round.) At the end of the neutral-pacifist route, he says "as long as you do what's in your heart, I believe you can do the right thing". He still completely trusts that "what's in your heart" is, fundamentally, the best guide for what is moral.
And finally: the circumstances under which he pulls out the Megalovania. He could lie down and let the despair fully consume him, and in almost every neutral ending he does. But when it's either his promise to the lady on the other side of the door or the fate of the world... he chooses the world.
Underneath all the depression and despair, just like his brother, there is a Lion.

Dating...Start? (Chapter 5. B.I.A AU)
Papyrus walked through, opening the doors to MTT resort. the sound of the enterance waterfall rushing with water... hmm... it... was strangely silent- he walked around- walking out to the main dining area, it could be it was being cleaned out, for another late show.. he was about to leave when he felt a hand on his shoulder- making him whip around on his heel, mettaton smiled happily, he was in his EX form "hello papyrus!" he waved softly "ah! mettaton! there you are!" he smiled, he gently pinched at sans' cheeks "hello tiny darling!"
papyrus chuckled softly "i've been looking everywhere for you!" the robot sighed happily as he outstretched his arms "yes, here i am darling! ah! i was wondering papyrus-" he started, the tall skeleton looking down at the robotic entertainer "yes?" "i've been meaning to ask, now that i have you here-" he paused again "would- you be interested in going on a date?" papyrus paused, his face going orange as he stared at him for a moment. was this happening?... he was already friends- but now- his idol was actually ASKING him out?! HIM!! of all monsters! HIM! The great papyrus!! his soul wanted to jump for joy, excitement held him "of course! i'd love to!" was all he could manage. "good! i'll be waiting outside the resort at 7 pm. don't be late darling~" he waved goodbye, papyrus could only stare was he waved back, sans gently tugged at his scarf, getting a little impatient "huh? oh yes sans, we can go home-"
-
papyrus gently tightened his bowtie, brushing off at his suit, he looked at himself in the mirror as he smiled, he nodded and looked at the clock, '5 pm' he took in a deep breath and nodded to himself "alright sans are you ready?" he gently lifted the babybones into his arms, lifting a bag onto his shoulder, sans looked up at him with confusion "you. are gonna hang out, with miss dizzy! she agreed to watch you tonight!" as he opened the door, celia, the owner of hops' cafe and the snowdin inn, waved softly "Ah ms celia! what a pleasant surprise! where's ms dizzy?" he glanced around "well...thats what i came here for....dizzy...can't make it...im so sorry, she....got sick and was gonna try to tell you herself.." papyrus held up his hand "no worries ms celia! luckily! i planned ahead for accidents like this!" the bunny nodded and took off, giving a soft; apologetic wave.
-
Undyne grunted as she dried the sweat from her forehead, her hair falling on her shoulders, the training dummy was practically on fire.
as she rubbed the towel around her neck against her cheek, the phone inside rang. The captain paused, who would be calling her? she lifted the phone off the receiver "hello?" her gruff, confident voice spoke up.
"hello Undyne!"
"Oh! pap! jus' you! what's got ya callin?" she threw the towel into a basket as she opened her bedroom door.
"I need someone to watch over sans! and who better to watch him than you!"
She paused, watch? sans!? she blinked for a moment- "wait- wait- hold on- you want ME to play babysitter?! you know im not good with kids-"
"i wouldn't have picked you if i didnt think you'd do a good job. besides-" his voice got lower, a very serious tone than what she was used to hearing from him "you OWE me" she tapped her foot gently, hearing papyrus actually be serious was kind of scary, it intimidated her. she nodded "sure, i can watch sans tonight." she sighed, rubbing the bridge of her nose-
he door knocked, she stopped; that was....oddly quick- she opened her door, to see the tall skeleton wave "hello undyne, i figured i should go over a few things with you-" she stepped back for him to enter.
papyrus sat down a bag on her table, setting sans down as well "i made a rather small list of simple things-" he handed her a piece of paper, undyne stared down at it, holding it in her hand "but i know you're not t keen on being a "rule" follower so i kept it simple!" he smiled, it wasnt the fact that he hadnt meant it in a mean, or insulting way- he just mean in a way to save more time, by the expression on undynes face, she understood what he meant.
"by 7 o'clock sans must be fed, i found he takes to this weird, shell based pasta the best with a few of these little cheesy biscuit...roll things covered in ketchup, just put the rolls in the microwave for 50 seconds. dont over do the pasta. i've learned he hates very thick noodles, or just stir them till their soft and squishy, by 8 or 9 he must have his bath, i'll understand if that doesnt work with you-" he gave a worried expression, undyne waved it off "nah dude, it's chill, i got this- it'll be like a new challenge. there aint nothin i haven't overcome! i aint gonna let babysittin a babybones let me down s' easily!!" she grinned, tightening her fist.
papyrus gave a relieved sigh "good, then, by 9:30 or ten he should be in bed, i've learned he takes to a particular story-" he handed her a book "its not the usual of the fluffy bunny series but he likes this one!"
undyne took a moment to examine the cover, two creatures- one was a tall almost midnight black, the other was shorter, almost a very dark purple wearing a brim, brown sunhat carrying a chicken, with the title of 'The Adventures Of Neptoid & Damien' undyne gave a shrug "cool. cool." she nodded "and this-" papyrus pulled out a rather raggedy bunny, with two patchwork ears, two little blue button eyes and soft worn out pinkish feet and a little tutu with a tiny golden crown, and a pair of wings "this is dawn. he calls her dawnalala, cannot sleep without her."
undyne nodded again "dope, anything else i should know?" papyrus stopped, he piveted on his heel "not that i can really think of, just, please follow the instructions on the box"
"i will"
"i mean it undyne" he gave a rather dark glare her way as she crossed her heart "i promise i won't endanger your brother. i'll take care of him"
papyrus smiles "thank you undyne, i knew i could put my faith in you-" he glanced at his watch "OH! sh-oot i have to go-" he wracked his mind for a moment "what else- what else- oH! sans doesnt talk! he sometimes communicates through drawing or writing!" he stepped out the door "i best be going bye!" with one final wave goodbye.
papyrus was gone.
sans stared as he watched the door.
where did his big brother go?...

Wet dream: Frisk is being chased through a dark castle. It's almost pitch black except for dim candles and the lightning outside. He's being chased by something terrible, the buzzing of flies fills the air, her runs and runs but can't escape, the danger drawing nearer all the while...
Until he finally bursts through a door into a big bedroom, with a roaring fire, big four poster bed, soft carpet, and a ten foot tall woman in a white dress. As the door clicks closed behind him, he feels like he might have been safer outside...
The rest of the dream is spent on his back as the woman rides his dick and moans with pleasure, all the while he's powerless to do anything but cum in her again and again until he can't even feel his legs.
When he wakes up, he feels exhausted.
Send my muse a wet dream and they will rate it on how they wake up:
Frisk could only remember running this hard one other time, and back then, he had been running from Undyne. And while he had died many times against her, this somewhat felt even worse, more tense. When was the last time he had saved? He didn’t even stop to consider WHAT he was running from... if he had, he might have realised he had no clue, and figured that it was likely a dream.
Finally, he saw a large set of double doors, and somehow knew he’d be able to go through them, unlike most of the other doors he had hurriedly tried. He burst through, stopping only to shut the doors quickly shut behind him, hoping that whatever was chasing hadn’t seen them open, or didn’t hear them close.
And then he realized that it might have been better if they did, when he turned around, and froze as a tall woman was standing right in front of him. While he couldn’t see the room past her, he got a glimpse of the warm, roaring fire, and the large bed as she plucked him from the ground.
The next thing he knew, his clothes were in shreds, and the vampire was atop him, riding him hard and fast, having discarded her white dress so he could see her entire body, her breasts bouncing heavily as she rode, a hungry look in her eyes.
Frisk was not a stranger to being ridden by someone taller and much heavier than he was... but Toriel was usually far gentler, or let him take control. This woman clearly had no care for his well being, as he could feel his pelvis aching in protest, and after he’d cum for the fourth time, he couldn’t even feel his legs.
It took quite a while, but as she completely exhausted his energy, a feat most women hadn’t managed, his vision started to fade, the last thing he saw and heard was the woman laughing loudly as his cock shot more cum into her.
And then he woke up in bed. He was covered in sweat, and he immediately sat bolt upright, despite the exhaustion that had persisted, and looked around.
He gave a relieved sigh, shifting a bit, and hearing a squelch as he did, he looked down...
6. Had MANY orgasms in their sleep
Forget needing new sheets, he might need a new mattress...

I made some small references for all the current characters in Rulesrune! Yay! They took forever and probably around 20 to 30 minutes each.
The Contest
This is a personal contest I'm holding since I will be away at camp for a whole week and will literally have no contact with the outside world. None. So why not hold a contest?
What you'll be doing
Pretty much I want to see a swap AU of Rulesrune but find it to complicated myself. So I'm holding a contest to see who'll do it best.
Don't worry you will get something! There will be a prize for the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners!
All you have to do is design what you think Rulesswap would look like! That's pretty much the minimum. You don't have to do all the characters but the more the better!
Prizes
1st place will get rights to the Ruleswap AU and two free drawing requests from me as well as a drawing of your version of the characters
2nd place will get two free drawing requests and a drawing of their version of the characters.
Lastly, 3rd place will get one free drawing request and a drawing of their version of the characters.
Starting to finish
The start is right now! And the finnish is the 3rd of August. To enter, just use #Rulesswap ! This content is also being held in both deltarune au aminos, deltarune amino, undertale and undertale au amino and lastly my DA.
Character information.
This is to help you a bit.
In this AU it is MANDATORY for a Darkner to wear gloves when in the presence of a Lightner because when a Lightner and a Darkner touch bad thing can happen. Usually, the Darkner absorbs the Lightner, merging the two and making it impossible to separate them without killing one or both. Once a Darkner has absorbed a Lightner (this is usually not by choice) they can absorb other Darkners as well except they have a say in the matter since they're now "evened out".
Lancer is a smol bean at first. Due to an unfortunate, unforgettable, and unforgivable incident with his father he has a clawed gash across his face. Due to this, he's now color blind. He tends to asks Ralsei and Rouxls Kaard if he'll ever see a rainbow again. Unfortunately, he probably wont. Now later on Lancer finds Susie injured and attempts to help her, not knowing the gloves rule. This, of course, results in them merging and he now sees Susie as his invisible friend. In battle he uses a boomerang and when knocked out an axe will spin above him. Thats just Susie being over protective.
Rouxls Kaard Was just as cheerful as all usual until the incident happened or what the dark world likes to call it "The fall of the spades". After Lancer had been injured, Rouxls took it appon himself to get even with the spade king and by even I mean strait up beat the guy to a bloody pulp and toss him off the side of the castle. Of course, this most definitely killed the king and the kingdom was not happy. Rouxls, knowing about the geat door, took Lancer and C.Round to the door to escape. The guards chased them and they barely made it in. From then on they lived with Ralsei. Things were fine at first until the merging happened. Lancer had gone off and Rouxls was worried where he had run off too. So he went to go look for Lancer, accidentally passing him and Susie. He then found Kris who was concerned or at least curious where their friend went. Rouxls, not able to turn down any child at this point, agreed to help Kris find their friend when they heard Lancer yell "Dad! I'm lost!" Rouxls, in a rush, grabbed Kris and ended up merging with them. Rouxls Kaard is now a very very silent person and seems to have some personal grudge against Ralsei now, as if he knows something that he didn't before. Rouxls with occasionally talk to his soul but its very rare for him to talk at all. Rouxls use to lance in his pare time so uh..thats kinda how he attacks I guess.
Ralsei is alot taller than usual. He's about 6 feet, maybe a little shorter. This makes him a bit intimidating but Lancer loves him as if he was his own dad. Ralsei is kinda quiet but will talk if someone talks to him first. He's pretty nice and tends to take care of things when Rouxls needs a break. After Rouxls and Lancer's merging with the Lightners him and Rouxls haven't gotten along. They tend to fight (usually not physically because Lancer would notice) fairly often and it causes alot of tension. Lancer thinks his dads get along great so they have to at least pretend to like each other when smol bean is around. Ralsei, though very polite, has someone wrong. Very wrong. Its hard to describe but lets just say hes not all that he seems. He's been caught by Rouxls trying to absorb C.Round and Lancer wich has increased the distrust. No one knows who Ralsei merged with but he hates talking about it and seems to have developed a fear of flowers. Mostly big ones. Ralsei, even though he has poor eyesight, thends to avoid wearing his glasses because when he dose he freaks out. Ralsei is fairly skilled in fire magic due to him practicing alot. He also has vines, though extremely rare. He usually avoids using them at all costs and when he dose its purely accidental.
Jevil oh Jevil. Just as crazy as ever, maybe even more. He's still imprisoned but this time he wants to make a deal with you. He wants your soul. Jevil says that he can literally give you the world if you give him your soul. He'll sing about it during his fight and increasingly get more frustrated when you refuse. This Jevil loves to sing so more often then not he'll sing what he has to say. At the end if his fight, no matter how you defeated him, he'll turn into a scythe. Usually Lancer and Rouxls Kaard leave since they find the dungeon creepy but Ralsei will stay behind and take Jevil for himself.
Seam is the courtyard magician to the new king. Who's the new King? you'll find out later. He's a fairly straightforward cat and prefers to keep his magic acts as a profession. He admits that he misses Jevil but is to scared to go and see him again. He's afraid Jevil will be mad for imprisoning him. This leads Seam to be a bit jumpy since he thinks Jevil might have it out for him.
RK's C.Round dosent have much to be said about them. They fallowed Rouxls Kaard and Lancer to the great door. They lived with them kinda like a pet, keeping Lancer company and out of trouble. They're a great guard dog.
Asgore? You may be a bit confused. Why is Asgore in all of this? He's not even in the picture! Well do I have a story for you. You see, in the light world AKA hometown Asriel has been deemed missing since he went off to collage. Its been 3 years longer than he said and everyone was worried. So when Asgore went missing things got hectic. Undyne started doing more patrols and a curfew was set. Now, where do you think the last place Asgore was seen at was? It was the school. Asgore was helping fix some things and went to put something in the closet when he somehow entered the Dark World. There are multiple entrances and he just so happened to appear by the castle. The other kings had yet to be freed and the kingdom was in disarray so Asgore, being the kind hearted soul he is decided that he would be the new king. It took some convincing and research (as much as there could be) but he finally did it and the people are fairly happy.
Dogtrio is a set of 3 C/K.Rounds that work together. C/K.Rounds are more powerful in numbers. The one with the heart on his crown is their leader. He usually commands and heals the other two during battle. Together, combined, they can summon D.O.G. The acronym is unknown.
Robbert, Bobbert, and Elli are best if friends and like to change anyone. More specifically, they want to take down RK for killing the spade king. Unfortunately, they're just 3 idiots in a trenchcoat. The only lethal one is Robbert but he's so busy trying to make sure his friends don't fall off a clif or miss fire their bubble rocket launcher that he can't actually kill you. Bobbert is bubbly and kind and honest doesn't know what he's doing. Elli is mute yet kind and heals the other two when they get hurt.
Susie was absorbed by Lancer and is now considered his guardian. She protects him when no one else is around and helps describe colors to him. She'd go ballistic if anything happened to him.
Kris is just...Kris? They don't have too much do them. They don't talk and kinda just float around RK, waiting for the chance to escape. But they can't. They never will. It's slowly making them violent. Watch out.
Clover is just normal clover. They still haven't found a boyfriend yet.

So, I started this comic page about a few months ago. (yeah, I know, it really narrows it down, huh?) This was a comic page intro I was going to do for my AU ContaminationTale. However, there are quite a lot of things stopping me from actually making the comic. I want to start a comic, but I think I would do fairly poorly at actually making a good comic that will keep attention.
I also have all of my characters designed for ContaminationTale, but I do not want to actually do them digitally cause I am afraid I will mess it up. I am bad at character reference sheets. I love to have something going on, or something more implied, and not just a character. However, I hope I will fix that with myself soon.
The backstory behind ContaminationTale is besically something kinda similar but very adjacent to how Error Sans was formed. As confusing as it is, allow me to elaborate-
ContaminationTale is an AU where classic Undertale is taken over and corrupted by a strange human that is not Chara, or the other human souls. It is just a random human that had run across the world and watched the events of the world pan out. So in a way, they are like a way to breach the 4th wall, whilst not being able to communicate with the obersevers of the AU. (Myself, or people that may view my works) Here is the old set of information I made for ContaminationTale when it was first created. Including characters, places, items, food and other stuff like that.
[ ° Basic Information ° ]
» Classic Undertale ™ is slowly fading away, being overshadowed by it's many various AU's, which have became far more popular than the classic game. So when the infamous, and to-say-the-least very unwelcome 'Shadow Player' comes back, and completely takes control of the game, he controls all of the characters as well. Now, running on only hate, fear and sadness; Undertale is going to make a fatal, feral strike-back at the many AU that fans so ADORE.
[ ° AU Connections ° ]
➡ All of the AU, over a large span of years, have managed to completely coincide with each other and accept each other's existence. They even have come to think of each other as kin. Family and such. Error is way more level, having been around Ink and Blue so much made him less homicidal and seemed to get rid of his 'God-Syndrome'. Other more homicidal AU, such as Horror and Killer have also calmed down murder wise, however they do have their slip ups. Nightmare since then had also split into two versions of himself. Night, who is the one with no black ooze on him is able to be with dream, and be happy, and Nightmare, who is more level in the head, but still a jerk. At times there can be tension but they all get over it rather fast. This is called the 'Pacification of the Bad AU' (As restated later, this is NO WHERE NEAR CANON. This is for the plot of ContaminationTale.)
Quick Note: As another note, in this AU, the monsters hate killing, and Chara was pacified. He is in the same boat as the monsters. The monsters of ContaminationTale used what free code they were able to spare to make it to where any AU versions of themselves they killed respawned in the Flower Patch being as it was the furthest from most of the while they were able to keep their 'good' conscious. The person who hacked them was unable to reverse it.
[ ° Characters ° ] (All Characters keep their same personalities when in their 'Free Form' however, in their 'Contaminant Form' they all remain kind of similar to themselves, but become homocidal, and attack any AU characters soon there after, or instantly.

➡ Doesn't really function as a bar anymore. This place is actually more it less used for medical treatment and a weapon station.
» Echo Flower garden/field/cave
➡ All places that have echo flowers in them are or can be used for a torture room. When a person is trapped in there, the flowers only scream, cry and laugh at the being inside. There are no identified words that are ever said, other than 'DIE'.
» MTT Station
➡ This place is actually used for the Shadow Players base and planning area. Off limits and heavily guarded with technology. It had many secret operative plans that happen in it all the time.
»Asgore's Castle
➡ Mostly a moot point area. However when any of the classic monsters die they respawn in the center room of the castle. However the center room is also a jail cell and the monster that spawns there gets three days solitary confinement for getting killed.
» Flowey's Flower Patch
➡ Any au characters that are killed in ContaminationTale that are not part of the AU spawn in the flower patch. Other than that this location is rather useless.
» Toriel's Ruins
➡ Long since abandoned. However the au characters that come to ContaminationTale often regroup, stay and recoop themselves here. They use this as a base and plan area. It provides shelter to those AU that can't make Portals like Dream can.
» Alphys Lab
➡ Used to mix poisons, and is filled with mechanical body parts used to replace lost limbs that didn't kill the victim. It is also used to overview the town and make traps.
» Sans Station - Bridge Crossing
➡ Loaded to the brim with motion sensors and traps ready for the unsuspecting. This causes confusion is and can be very dangerous if you are not careful or nimble because stuff comes at you from all sides.

- Hot Dog w/ Bun - (Restores 50 HP)
- Hard Tac (Restores 30 HP)
- Alfrado ( Restores 100 HP)
- Cupcake (Restores 10 HP)
- Spaghetti ( Restores 50 HP)
- Pie (Restores 40 HP)
- Candy (Restores 5 HP each)
[ ° Weaponry ° ]
» Sans Butcher's Knife
➡ /+30 ATK/ - /-5 SPD/ - /+10 HP/
↪ Fire Perk - With this Sans can give the Butcher Knives the ability to set themselves on fire on the blade. However this one lasts for a few attacks before he has to build up a charge again.
» Papyrus's Bone Staff
➡ /+40atk/ - /-5spd/ - /+15hp/
↪ Dead Weight Perk - The dead weight Perk is used to inflict extra damage on characters when a weapon is swung. The dead weight puts more pressure and force behind the attack. Depending on how willing he is the fight, it affects how well Papyrus is able to use his weapon.
» Gaster's Scythe
➡ /+10 HP/ - /-5 SPD/ - /+15-20 ATK/
↪ Invisibility Perk : This makes the weapon itself unable to be seen by the naked eye after so many attacks for a stent of time. However you can still see the weapons shadow is it is in a lit area. That's why Gaster is more likely not to be found in dark scenery or places. If there is light anywhere, that is where you need to stay. Gaster also has the ability to blend into the dark, and it makes him a harder opponent.
»Toriel's Arrows
➡ /+10 SPD/ - /- 5 HP/ - /+5 ATK/
↪ Tipped Arrows ; this means they are actually poisoned with a small odor causes nausea, draining HP, and confusion to enemy characters. It however takes a small toll on her health every time she shoots an arrow. This is why she alters the arrows she uses. Her alterations come in an irregular patterns and it is spontaneous when she pulls one out.
» Asgore's Scepter
➡ /-15 SPD/ - /+10 ATK/ - /+0 HP/
↪ Electricity : like any other weapon, this one reacts better to opposite elements. The weapons this one better completed and takes out are wooden and metal weapons. It can not travel through rubber or other materials that have specific metals that do not connect well with the ability to travel through. If he uses a lightning based attack on a material that is not a conductor, the electricity comes back to him and will either stun him, or be shot off somewere else.
» Asriel's Slingshot
➡ /+10 SPD/ - /+5 ATK/ - /+ 0 HP/
↪ Explosive pellets are the thing that Asriel launches from his sling. These pellets are strong mini fireworks packed with acid. When it touches skin, fur or bone, even metal, it burns around the area it hit with a 5-7 inch radius. Depending on where he hits and what he hits, it can cause serious damage and make someone get bad infections.
» Undyne's Spear
➡ /-0 SPD/ - /+5 HP/ - /+10 ATK/
↪ Dead Weight Perk: Similar to Papyrus, her Spears are made of basic magic they don't have any initial weight untill they are seeing seeing at a Target. So initially her perk is the same as Papyrus's perk from there. However, if she is close enough, she can cause her weapon to lose all it's weight for faster movement, and gain all of it for maximum impact.
» Mettaton's Gun
➡ /+15 SPD/ - /+0HP/ - /+10 ATK/
↪ Silencer - the gun have no special or notable perks but it is good for power and stealth kills. The silencer makes it to where there is only ever A very faint click heard if the gun is fired. The gun itself fires off long bullets/pellets that are filled with acid. The second the bullet goes into skin, or hits something and gets stuck, the acid will start to burn through it.
» Frisk's Staff
➡ /-10 SPD/ - /+5 HP/ - /+5 ATK/
↪ Knock Back Perk : This makes a large gust of pressurized air go at the opponent and knock them down effectively for 1-3 attacks. Mainly due to having the 'wind' knocked out of them. /Funny? Only me? Ok... ;W;/ either way, this makes it to where Frisk usually does not have to get too close to anyone or anything and keeps them a safer distance away from the action while still being able to help out.
» Chara's Knife
➡ /+15 HP/ - /+15 ATK/ - /+5 SPD/
↪ Long Range Perk : after weapon is used so many times, the weapon can go through a stent of long range power ups. That means when the blade is swung it creates a red projectile cutting Lazer in the form of the slice and can only go forward for for up to 15 feet. Once it reaches that and is unable to catch anything, the attack turns to the ground, and goes into it. This can cause the ground to gain holes in it that are up to 25 feet in depth. After so many missed attacks, it will cause the ground to collapse, taking less space for movement against the enemies.
» Grillby's Arrows
➡ /-10 HP/ - /+20 ATK/ - /+10 SPD/
↪ Fire Perk : the fire only goes out when he snaps his fingers, but his fire in particular can't burn polyester. However, after so many uses, his fire won't reactivate itself until he has had a 10 minute rest.
» Tikal's Lasso
➡ /+5 SPD/ - /+10 ATK/ - /+0 HP/
↪ no perks, batter for stealth attacks
»Muffet's Glass Throwing Knives
➡ /+10 SPD/ - /+5 ATK/ - /+5 HP/
↪ respawn: if the knives are broken, they rebuild the partial belt bag, it might be better just to have more battle ready
» Alphys' Axe
➡ /-15 SPD/ - /+20 ATK/ - /+5 HP
» Monster Kid/Family Tail + Crossbows
➡ /+25 SPD/ - /+30 ATK/ - /-10 HP/
↪ no perks
[ ° All Weaponless Characters ° ]
» Temmie
» Burgerpants
» Doggo
» Endogeny
» Napstablook
» Flowey
[ ° Weaponless Characters Abilities ° ]
» Temmie
- Speed Attack: Used to confuse and knock out characters. Temmie runs around them and strikes their body in various places to try to cause more consistent confusion.
» Doggo
- Lock Jaw: Doggo locks his jaw around anyone's limbs. He won't let go until you give into Contaminated or you break his jaw. On the same note, if you break his jaw, his teeth will break from his jaw and sink into your skin until the contamination is spread. In the matter of 3 hours, his teeth grow back, and his jaw repairs itself.
» Endogeny
- Corrupt : uses the shades to possess enemies and attack other enemies or take themselves out.
» Burgerpants
- Incinerate: he always has a lighter and gasoline on him somewhere. So when he reacts he can use it to gradually put on his enemies then he can burn them alive when he lights it up.
» Flowey
- Vines : Shred or Strangle - Flowey can either crush his opinions with several Vines or throw needles at the enemy that are hard to dodge and have incredible sharpness.
» Napstablook
- Sonic Scream: Nopstablook screams silently at the other one enemies and the sound waves lower defense, and confuse them. It also makes them unable to see straight, makes them nautious and can cause surrounding items or building parts to collapse, gain damage or go haywire
[ ° Common World Items ° ]
* Machine Parts
- (Commonly found in the lab, or Mettatons News Station.) The machine parts vary, however, there is no real use for gears anymore, otherwise as throwing weapons. However, longer machine parts are used to make traps, or as close range weapons such as bo-staffs.
* Desk Supplies
- (Can be found anywhere) Desk supplies unclude things such as tape, pencils, pens, paper and other forms of common utilities. These also serve as weapons. They are easier to hide, find, and store without being weighed down.
* Marbles
- ( A rare find that some monsters used to posses. Such as Toriel) These are used as a good tripping device, or as a good distraction to those that can't avoid them.
* Contaminated Black Tar
- (Everywhere) This black tar only forms when a monster from Undertale / ContaminationTale is killed. Instead of turning into a pile of ashes, or dust, the turn into black goo and reform in the stated 'respawn' point. This can afflict other AU or humans that enter the world and turn them into a being like the afflicted monsters. However, since they are not considered 'Undertale' characters, they find a way to kill / destroy themselves. If they are just a human from the surface world, they will destroy themselves and not regenerate. However, if the are an AU, they regenerate fully healed in Flowey's flower patch.
* Silverware
- (Anywhere) This also serves as a great weapon.
* Broken Pipes
- (Inside walls and other items they can be placed in) these are used both weapons on 'inobvious spyware. They are all stuck into walls in order to spy around and keep an eye out without being seen right away.
>> Other Things to Clarify <<
1) As you have seen, there are both a "Flowey" and an "Asriel" in this AU. This was not a mistake, or an error in planning. They are both separate characters.
2) The 'Affiliations with other AU' including known AU Sanses or other characters is NOT CANON. I know most of you know this already, however, this is to those who get easily offended. The other AU checking in on the 'Classic' world is because if something happens to destroy Undertale, ALL OF THE AU will be destroyed in the process.
3) Undertale and ContaminationTale are both the same thing here. I know you all think that since it is an AU like this, it might be like Dust, or Killer Sans and they diverge into another AU. Which is both true, and not true. It becomes it's own AU later, however I have it set up to exist where the other AU characters need to help the Undertale characters escape their situation and beat the hacker first.
4) After the hacker is beaten, ContaminationTale becomes its own AU where it lives abandoned, and no AU characters come into it anymore. Meaning the reason behind it's existance is actually kind of futile, and the human gets killed by the ContaminationTale monsters later only to come back. It turns into an ever-turning genocide AU.
5) ContaminationTale Characters can only kill other copies of theselves so they are more equally matched. If they attack a version of another monster, most of their attacks will be barely even able to cause damage, no matter how powerful. This is due to a slip-up in the coding that contaminated them.
6) The main reason the other AU care so much about helping this AU is because at the time it is still 'Undertale' not just 'ContaminationTale'. Undertales code is becoming unstable, and it is inevitable that it will cause Undertale itself to collapse. Killing all of the AU Sanses and their respective AU.
//Afternote: Another reason I made this AU is cause Classic is usually helping the other AU, and the other AU don't really help him out. So I wanted to change that. I also feel bad cause Undertale ins't as popular as it's AU anymore. I did a survey with all the Undertale Lovers in my school, and I was the only one who voted on Classic Undertale out of 76 kids. :( //

Chapter 11: ECHO
Tumblr media
"I don't understand." He started, glaring as he spoke. "Why are you doing this? This isn't even her timeline, all she wants to do is go home!"
Every timeline must be purged.
"BUT WHY?! TELL ME WHY YOU'RE DOING THIS!" He yelled. "She's just a kid! You really want to murder a kid?! You're sick!"
"Cloak?!"
He spun around at the sound of his name. "Frisk no, get back!"
You know why. You've always known.
Turning his attention back to the dark void he was yelling at before, he just barely made out a single red eye. "Know what?"
You've known why...since the experiments.
"What..?" He started, but his attention shifted to the darkness surrounding him, engulfing him almost. "What the hell?!"
Allow me to remind you...of your true purpose.
He struggled. Nothing happened. He tried to move again. Nothing happened. Nothing happened each time he tried, he even reached out for something, anything at this point. And when he did, he was blinded by a bright light.
Opening his eyes slowly, he dound himself in some sort of laboratory. "What's going on..? Where am I..?" He said, mainly to himself.
Do you remember this? I do.
He looked around quickly, trying to locate the owner of the voice, but it seemed it was just his imagination. Brushing it off for now, he walked forward, each step unlocking the broken fragments of this memory in his mind. There were no amalgamates yet, they came later. The experiment wasn't originally performed by Alphys, she helped...him. "Why am I...How did I forget this?"
You forgot him too, I know. A lot of people did.
The Core. He was building the Core when he came in the first place. The DT Extractor only worked once, on...on him.
So, you now understand how. The machine caused you a lot of pain. I know, I was there.
"He...he used my determination." Cloak's mind raced for a moment, he remembered all the experiments involving his SOUL. His human SOUL. "But...I'm not human..."
So you were told. But when do you remember a monster using such power without melting? Think, Cloak.
"Even if that's true, that doesn't justify what you're doing!" He countered. "You can't murder innocent people, just for your own messed up agenda!"
You do not yet know the truth. But you will know soon enough. My "messed up agenda" was a plan we made ages ago. To fix the biggest mistake Dr. Gaster ever made.
"Gaster?" Cloak started. "But what-" He started, but was interrupted by a sharp, intense pain in his chest and stomach. When he looked down, he saw he was impaled by two large, black bones. "These...Undyne...you...!"
You'll know the truth very soon, so long as you survive. Pleasant dreams...my other self.
---
"Why...?"
"...I didn't want you to die..."
---
"You can't understand how this feels." He started, waiting to dodge their next attack in the Judgement Hall. "Knowing that one day, you'll wake up to find it's all been RESET." He waited a moment before continuing. "I won't let that happen. Seeing what comes next, I just can't afford to not care anymore."
"...Do it."
He froze. It was small, but it was definitely her voice. Not this demon thing, but Frisk. He'd know her voice anywhere. "Do what? Murder you?" He said, surprisingly in a quiet tone. "When you haven't hurt anyone? When we're all free? You brought me back down here so you could let me KILL you?!"
"...can't control...for long..." She looked up at him, her eyes seemed to be pleading for his help while her body trembled. "...Sans..."
He watched her for a moment, trying to figure out exactly what was going on, and that's when he found it: An endless dark void behind her. It definitely wasn't there before, he'd remember something like that. He realized what was going on, why she called him here like this. It wasn't for some stupid death wish, she hadn't lost her mind, she couldn't control what she was doing at all. And he'd....Gods, he'd already killed her to have her forced to come back. He didn't use the blaster but...if he did she'd still suffer wouldn't she? What was he supposed to do?!
His thoughts were interrupted by Frisk stepping forward. It seemed whatever was controlling her, they had no idea he figured out the truth with her help. Flashing her a quick smirk to show her he understood, he decided to play along. "Welp. Sorry, Toriel. Guess I should have never made that promise." He said.
When she was forced to step forward again, he used his magic to lift her up by her SOUL, he wanted to find out exactly how she was being controlled. But she screamed, as if she was in intense pain, and he couldn't keep a hold on her like that. He half set her down, half dropped her, he still had to keep his act up or else she would be in a lot more trouble. He could feel it, the malevolence surrounding her SOUL. That was definitely where it was coming from. Whatever was in that void was using her SOUL to control her every move. This made everything different. He'd have to do something else, killing Frisk would only make things worse for her.
"Why don't you just come out and face me?" He stated, looking directly at the void. "All this time you've been trying to 'ketchup', so you 'mustard' to meet me." He tried to joke, there was a small chance that would help.
I already know you. I've known you for a long, long time.
With that response, the figure within the void released his hold on Frisk's SOUL, Sans could hear her catching her breath. He kept his eyes on the void, and was surprised to see a figure walking out from it. They were covered in darkness, save for their eyes. One was visibly scarred and shut, the other was red and looking directly at him.
After all, you helped him experiment on me. Don't you remember?
Sans' eyes widened. The Determination experiments, the ones he helped Gaster perform. He was a part of them, but he never...he didn't do anything but check on...was this thing really...?
It was fun to use her. The first couple of deaths were my own experiment, I wanted to see what she could handle. But now, the fun's over. I have a job to do, and you're in the way.
He was still on denial that this dark thing was what was left of that human, but whatever it was, it was strong. It picked up the knife off of the ground that Frisk had dropped, and looked at her for just a moment, as if to tell her she was next. It pissed him off, how it was still after her after torturing her. Toying with her for some sick game.
He summoned his Gaster Blasters behind him on both sides, opening fire on the void-like creature. He repeatedly fired, until smoke clouded his vision. He couldn't make out if he'd killed it or not.
Checkmate.
He couldn't move in time, they'd hit him with their attack and he'd die, just like that. He knew it was coming, even if time seemed to slow down the inevitable, but he was glad it was himself and not her. She didn't deserve this. She never deserved this. She...
"NO!"
She stepped in front of him at the last second. He couldn't stop her, he couldn't save her. She held the knife handle with her hands as it impaled her through the stomach. Laughing, the figure stepped back into its own void, disappearing from sight.
He caught her as she fell, holding her close. "H-hang on!" He pleaded. "Let me get you help!"
Frisk shook her head, weakly grabbing his hoodie.
"Why...?"
"...I didn't want you to die..." She started. "...You'll...you'll be okay...you don't have to reset this time..."
"Yes I do! I'm not losing you!" Sans protested. He let the tears flow, the thought of living without her was unbearable. "Please..."
"...If I...if we reset...they'll just come back..." Frisk said softly. "...You have to let me go..."
"You saw what happened when I tried to before! I can't..." He said, looking her in the eyes. "I love you, dammit! Why do you think I fought so hard to get you back before?!"
She smiled. "...I love you too..." She started. "...That's why...I need you to do this...for me..." She used what little strength she had to wipe some of his tears away, gently placing her hand on his cheek. It only lasted a moment, one moment where they shared one last smile, before her hand slipped from his face. She was gone.

A thought I just had, maybe relevant to you since you like both involved settings: The barrier in Undertale was made by humans, correct? Even though it's repeated often that humans can't use magic, yes? Well, ESP / Psychic Energy isn't magic, is it?
Well, the wiki actually says that humans can use magic, and did! The barrier (on the wiki) is described as a magical creation of the humans, from seven of their best magicians.
It does mention that monsters’ bodies are more attuned to their soul, and far more magical than humans’ bodies are - which is what gave them their overwhelming strength and ability to hold determination.
…But what if the reason it was called ‘magic’ wasn’t because it was actually magic (like how monsters use it), but because there wasn’t a better word at the time to use for it?
Oh boy, I feel a meta/headcanon ramble coming on. Prepare yourselves.
(My knowledge of Undertale is really rusty, as I was pretty goddamn sure I left the fandom like a year and a half ago, but here we are!)
ESP/Psychic Energy (as viewed in the MP100 verse) could very easily be mistaken as magic, especially considering all the things it can do. Flight, super-speed, telekinesis, invisibility, etc, etc, so forth and so on.
So it would make sense that people/monsters from ‘older’ times (as the times around the age of the War were shown to be) would perhaps classify that ‘magic’ as, well, magic!
And even that ties into the ‘immense strength’ humans were said to have-
While we see many applications of psychic energy in MP100, a way that it frequently manifests is through acts of extreme strength - Teru’s fight with Mob, Mob vs. Koyama, 1000% Reigen fucking slinging Ishiguro through approximately eighteen walls, etc, etc.
And if you stack an ordinary human against a monster who can use magic - in any sense, it would be reasonable to believe that the human’s going to lose! That’s what you’d expect! I mean! How in the world could monsters like Undyne (if there were ones like her back then) have not made a single casualty??? Like, not even one?
And a child manages to go through the Underground and kick the ass of pretty much every single monster there???? How. (and actually manages to kill them if its a genocide route)
(AND ASGORE ACTUALLY DOES KILL THEM SEVERAL TIMES, WHICH PROVES MY POINT ABOUT HOW HE SHOULD HAVE GOTTEN AT LEAST ONE HUMAN DURING THE WAR TO EXTERMINATE HIS PEOPLE - BECAUSE THIS IS BEFORE THE WHOLE SHEBANG WITH HIS WIFE LEAVING HIM, THE KIDS DYING, HIM KILLING SOME OF THE FALLEN HUMANS FOR THEIR SOULS-arrrgh, I’m making no sense!!!)
But you give a human ESP and put them up against a monster…
You give a human - who has determination - ESP and put them up against a monster…
Well.
..holy shit, just think about it. Monsters’ souls are attuned to their bodies, right? And most of their bodies aren’t solid things - they’re made up of magic! Nearly incorporeal!
Like the spirits purified by espers/psychics in MP100.
Not a single human casualty during the War. Not one, the wiki says.
And you think about how easy it would be, for espers to purify spirits - what about monsters? You remove their soul from their body and they die!
Their souls are their bodies - which is very much like the spirits of the MP100 world.
So, imagine it. What if Determination is just that - determination, a basic emotion - with ESP added to the mix?
Humans are capable of great things simply by themselves - that’s a real life fact. Humans are determined as hell little buggers. Give them ESP, and they’d be unstoppable, even against those called ‘monsters’.
The Barrier itself is another question - if it was just magic like the monsters used, then why did it need human souls to break? (Maybe for the seven magicians, but that seems a little too pat imo) If it was just magic, couldn’t the monsters have done something against it with their own magic? It might have taken them a while, but surely-
-unless, of course, the Barrier wasn’t magic, and was created with ESP.
We’ve seen what Mob’s capable of doing.
…what if that’s the difference we see in Frisk as well? All the things Frisk is capable of doing, including running the gauntlet of the Underground (or murdering their way through it) shouldn’t be possible for a kid their age.
But if they had ESP…if they, and all the other kids who fell had ESP…
Frisk has so much determination that they’re able to SAVE. They’re able to come back from death, over and over again.
And in the fight against Photoshop Flowey, and Asriel - its thought that their bodies are destroyed altogether-
and yet they come back, like Mob did while in Mogami’s world.
100% Determination, anyone?
(Look I understand this is fuzzy and incoherent and probably ninety percent of it is wrong, but i’m tired and my brain hurts and i got two hours of sleep last night and the night before. I’m not firing on all cylinders here.
If anyone would like to expand on this, please do.)

Chapter 9: Devilovania part 1
Tumblr media
"He can't dodge forever. Move!"
She stood still, even though her knife was forcibly raised towards him. If she could, she would have dropped the knife too.
"Magic isn't his strong suit, strike now!" He ordered, but she still refused. "This is not the real Chara! Kill him now or I WILL!"
She opened her mouth to warn Chara, and was forced to stop again. "Frisk, so help me, if you try to warn him again you will die! Now FIGHT!"
She looked over at Chara, he wasn't preparing an attack, he was watching her. Almost observing her.
"Ya know, I realized something as we've been fighting." Chara said, looking directly at her. He couldn't see what was really going on, not yet. "You're not Mirror, I can tell. Even if she chose to find out the consequences of this path, she would have stopped long before Rei. She would have SPARED him." His words were laced with malice, rightfully so, through force she'd taken everything away from him. "So, did you kill her too? You don't seem like the type to let innocent people live."
"I said...MOVE!"
Frisk was forced to attack, Chara dodged it easily, kicking her backwards. That's when he noticed something odd about the knife they were using. There were some kind of weird blue strings on it, he found them as he picked it up. "What? Painting? You've got a sick sense of humor kid." He started. "I mean really..." He trailed off, she was tapping something, but it wasn't random tapping. Some kind of code, almost like she was warning him, but why? What was behind her?
Look behind me, please, you'll understand.
"What the...? He started, quietly. He saw it alright, a huge black void behind her that wasn't there before, and now he could see she was caught in those blue strings from the knife.
"Damn you! I warned ya kid!"
"Oh no you don't!"
Two knife slashes later, and that void was now a reflection of the kid, and Chara had the unconscious kid in his arms. "No free will of her own. I should've known when she was so hesitant to fight." He started, setting her down behind the closest pillar for protection, then standing up.
Lifting his hood up, Chara smirked, his eyes appearing to become brighter. "No sense in asking for your name...YOU DIRTY BROTHER KILLER."
---
What?! I can't move!
You..how..?!
---
Even only using a fraction of his magic, Chara could be worn down pretty easily. He had to be careful, whatever this thing was, it knew exactly how to get him. Taking a quick glance over at the kid, still unconscious, he decided to stop playing it safe and really fight. He still had to avenge Rei, to avenge his family, everyone that thing stole from him.
"Ha! Have I already worn you out?!"
Glaring back at it, it now seemed like Chara's left eye emitted a magical flame. This actually surprised his enemy, it wasn't expected.
Error! Shift now, this timeline is lost! You still have a job to do!
Reluctantly, he listened, sending his blue vines everywhere around himself to disguise his escape.
Chara dodged easily, landing near the kid and getting them out of danger. He set them just outside of the exit, no attack ever left this corridor, they'd be safe for now. But...now something didn't feel right at all. That thing, whatever it was, it just suddenly felt more malicious. Like if he made the wrong move, it would take great pleasure in tearing him apart. "Looks like I'll need to use this a bit more.." He said to himself.
His magic helped a lot, despite the toll it took on him. Without it, he wouldn't be able to see most of his enemy's attacks, just the weird vines they used. With both beings dodging, however, the battle would be drawn out far longer than his body could handle. Dodging another knife blow, he slid a bit as he landed. During the dodge, he'd managed to hide his cough, and upon landing he wiped the blood off of the corner of his mouth. He knew then, whatever this thing was, it was starting to predict his moves.
Gods kid, what the hell did you get yourself into?!
He thought, dodging another attack.
He stayed still for a moment, just to catch his breath and plan his next move, and that's when it took the opportunity it had. He saw the light from the Blaster, one similar to his own, start to get brighter and brighter. When he tried to move, he saw the vines wrapped around his legs. Chara was pinned.
What?! I can't move!
He took out his knife and worked on removing the vines as quickly as he could. Not like this! Not yet!
He wasn't fast enough, he knew it, Asriel always told him he was slow. But he refused to stand and take it, he was determined to see this through, he refused to die like that. Hearing the Blaster launch its attack at him, he looked up in time to see a familiar sweater in front of him, protecting him at the last second.
"M-Mirror!" He exclaimed, catching her. If she hadn't shared his determination, she would have been killed, she was that lucky. "You..how..?!" He started. "Why?!"
Around his legs, he felt someone cut off the vines, he had movement again. But who...?
"You can't die outside of your own timeline, you won't be able to reset with it then." An unfamiliar voice came from the exit, next to the unconscious kid. He had no idea who it was. "She knew that, she wanted to protect you."
In response, Mirror smiled weakly at him. He felt guilty, she wouldn't be hurt at all if he wasn't so slow. But..then there was anger again. She'd travelled across time to help and this thing wanted to kill her too? Unacceptable.
Chara helped Mirror stand properly, letting the unfamiliar voice's owner come to help. He himself stepped forward, both eyes now appearing to have that magical flame in them.
Mirror could tell he was angry, she tried to warn him not to do what he was about to do, but Chara was angry beyond listening.
"Oh no.." Her travel partner, spoke quietly to himself. He helped her stand against a nearby pillar before taking a step towards Chara. Instead of trying to get him to stop, it seemed the young man was going to help.
~~~~
Luckily, the battle was directed towards the entrance to the corridor, no more harm came to the kid or Mirror, which was good. He'd gotten some good hits in, the evil being actually managed to nick him a few times, and his silent companion kept creating illusions of him attacking elsewhere to allow the real Chara a chance to strike.
This...has gone on long enough.
The sudden voice made them all stop in their tracks, if only for a moment to find out what was going on.
Your timeline will be purged.
"Like hell it will!" Chara shouted. He had no choice, he had to use his Blasters now or this would drag on endlessly. No one would survive otherwise. Sticking his arm out, they fired, seemingly destroying whatever entity that was.
Coughing, Chara sank to his knees, he'd used his magic for so long that the toll on his body was hard to handle.
Did you not hear me?!
Before anyone had a chance to react to what was going on with Chara, one final knife blow was fiercely directed not at him, but at Mirror. And unlike him, she wouldn't be able to dodge.
But like her, Chara stepped in front of the attack at the last second, being viciously slashed acoss the back.
"Chara!"
Their companion saw the entity forming again and made a choice. Grabbing the kid and taking Mirror's hand as she held onto Chara, he quickly teleported them out of there.
Opening her eyes, Mirror saw nothing but darkness, all around them. She thought she was dreaming for a moment, until she remembered what happened before ending up here.
"Chara?!" She said, looking at him leaned against the wall next to her...if it was a wall anyways. "Hey wait, Cloak?!" She called.
He was catching his breath a bit away from her, the kid he brought with them was still out like a light. "I'm alright! I just went too quickly, it's okay though." He responded. "Undyne, she might be able to help. This...this is what's left of her timeline now.."
Worried, Mirror redirected her attention to Chara. She felt his pulse, just to be absolutely sure, before he both scared and surprised her by grabbing her hand. "...Not dead yet..." Mirror wiped her eyes, prompting a soft pat on the head from him. "...We need to get back...to our timeline..."
"No way! Not like this, you won't make it!" She protested.
"Um..I can try to help. If..if that's alright." A shy, yet semi-confident voice came, and it belonged to who they could only assume was Undyne. But the Undyne they knew...well, she was more of a star to say the least. "I..I already healed your injuries..t-they were magic based so..."
Mirror inspected herself, and found that Undyne was telling the truth, she wasn't injured anymore.
After a few tense moments, Undyne started to look more and more worried as her invention didn't seem to work at all on Chara, minus helping him recover from the magic toll on his body. "I...I don't know..." She started, being interrupted by Chara. "...Not a magical attack..." He started. "...It was a knife...that's physical..."
"Then what..what do we do?!" Mirror asked.
"We take you back, isn't it obvious?" Cloak interjected. "Mirror, you're the only one who can reset things in your timeline."
"Y-yeah! You'll be able to f-fix everything!"
"Problem, there's only one part of it left." Cloak started. "With his injuries, I really can't guarantee-"
"...It's Snowdin...it has to be..." Chara interrupted. "...Take me back...reset after..."
"No! Chara, no. I won't let you die." Mirror said sternly. "There's gotta be another way."
"...I'll be dead any other way...then I won't be able to come back..." Chara responded. "...We have to go back..."
"I..."
"I'll stay with you, until you have to reset." Cloak offered. "I...I know a way to make it easier. Trust me. With the reset, you won't even remember this."
Mirror looked hesitant at first, but she eventually gave in and let Cloak take them back.
~~~~
"Here right? It looks like...where we first met."
"...I calcium what you mean..."
"Chara."
He laughed a bit, weakly, as Cloak set him down in front of the largest tree in Snowdin. The last area left in his timeline for now. In their timeline. Stepping just out of Chara's sight, Cloak made another illusion for him...well one of two. The first was a vivid sunset in front of them.
"...Heh...I haven't seen ome of these in ages..." Chara said, half smiling as he leaned against the tree. Mirror sat down next to him, watching with him. "...Already left huh...?"
The next gift from Cloak surprised both of them. Somehow, some way, he was able to make a realistic illusion of Asriel and have him come and sit down next to Chara. This in turn finally made Chara smile fully for once, and he closed his eyes and relaxed, leaning his head against the base of the tree as well. "...This place isn't so bad for a nap...Could use one..."
