“Oh my god, that’s potent!”, you coughed, covering your nose with your sleeve as you latched your apartment door behind you. You could already hear your boyfriends deep chuckle, taunting you from the kitchen. Unloading your bag onto the sofa and kicking off your shoes, you reluctantly wandered into the kitchen to find your favorite sight;

Your 187 cm boyfriend, giddily cooking up something in his silly, frilly apron you’d gotten him for your anniversary.

“Is it edible?”, you asked, peaking around at the large bowl of spice loaded kimchi Mingyu was prepping in front of him.

“I was craving extra spicy, this time.”, he giggled, pulling a piece from the bowl and teasing you with it. The way you flinched backwards made him laugh even hard. You only wanted to get hit in the eye with chili exactly zero times.

“Not even one little nibble?”, he pouted obnoxiously, knowing his puppy look could easily coax you into eating out of his hand even if it was pure garbage he was offering. Though, it never was. That was one of your favorite things about him and he about you. The way he would cook and feed you, the way you ate anything he made happily. It was a perfect five and take love language that time had developed for you.

Groaning you stopped your squabbling and squinted your eyes shut, preparing for the heat of the spices to hit your tongue as you allowed him to hand feed you a crisp piece of fresh kimchi. When Mingyu said spicy… he meant spicy. Though you tried to fight it off and chew gratefully, you weren’t prepared for the heat this man’s pallet craved.

“Good?”, he asked, tilting his head, a lock of wavy hair falling away from his face as he patiently and expectantly awaited your answer.

“Mhmmmnngggg”, your muffled agreeing was completely transparent as he tried not to laugh again, fetching you a glass of milk to wash it down.

“Are you okay, baby?”, he grinned, rubbing your back as he placed the cold glass in your hands to be gulped down in seconds.

“You tried to kill me!”, you yelped, slapping his arm, all the more amusing to him.

“Hmph.”, he pouted once more, turning back to his bowl and mixing it again thoroughly with his gloved hands. Of course you didn’t really mean it. And neither did he. But you still let him sway you with that stupid pout of his. Sliding your arms around his waist as he mixed, you pressed your face into the wide, firm plane of his back.

“It wasn’t that bad.”, you mumbled.

“What was that? I couldn’t hear you.”, he feigned stubbornly as if you couldn’t feel his diaphragm shake his chest with each silent chuckle.

“I SAID IT WASN’T BAD!“, you turned your face to scream into his back, most of the noise being absorbed.

“Oh! You said it needs more spice.”, he chortled, “Why didn’t you just say so, cutie?”

Rolling your eyes, you hopped onto the empty space on the counter and kicked your feet while peaking over the pots that were simmering on the stove since it was quite clear the kimchi was far too spicy for you. Finally catching a whiff from the steaming pots your tummy growled loudly and you frowned, fidgeting hangrily in your spot. After not eating since breakfast and enduring a long day of work, you longed for anything to fill your tummy. Mingyu was oblivious sometimes but it didn’t take a genius to notice.

“Hungry, baby?”, he chuckled, taking a small bowl and pouring a bit of broth from one of the pans into it. Taking another piece of kimchi from hell, he swished it quickly through the broth and offered it to you again. Making a face you turned your cheek and growled. Though it was meant to be menacing, he found it cute and endearing, hangry wasn’t a new emotion of yours.

“Heyyy… it won’t be so spicy this time!”, he assured you, waving it in front of your face, “I don’t like it when my puppy’s grumpy with me… or you can just bite me instead.”

As he lowered his hand you gave in, turning your head again toward him and squeezed your eyes shut tightly.

“Ahh~”, you opened your mouth, your nose scrunching and twitching as you awaited the awful spice you’d experienced before. With a smirk he fed it to you and waited, watching your scrunched up face relax as you realized it was just as he’d said.

“Daddy more?”, you asked, bouncing lightly on the counter at receiving something yummy to fill your aching stomach.

“Go wash up and I’ll have it ready.”, he clicked his tongue teasingly, always perking up a little at the appearance of his baby.

“But I’m hungry!”, you whined, eyeing the suddenly appealing kimchi he’d finished mixing.

“One more and then you have to go wash up for me, okay?”, he pecked your nose and then your cheek, helping you off the counter.

“Ahh!”, you opened your mouth again, content when you received another piece of rinsed kimchi and went on your way to clean up for dinner.

🧸Endnote: why’s the theme giving Christmas XD today is cg Mingyu hahah. Short and cute (the opposite of Mingyu/j with love) I’ve been watching Kdramas lately with an extra dose of disassociating so writing has not been the top of my activity list but I’d been meaning to get to Caregiver Mingyu for a while. I see him mainly as a little but I can definitely see both. He’s just a big emotional and sweet puppy either way. Also this would def not be super realistic since fresh rinsed kimchi would legit basically be just cabbage flavored ~ 🐶🐰🍓

seungkwan is so!!! himself!!! in this fic and i literally even have one section of this fic screenshotted bc i screamed about it to my friend since it was such an on-point seungkwan characterisation. also user thanku4urlove literally writes the best verkwan fics. i think i've recced their fics in every list so far

eeee thank you so much for requesting!! I have a lil something planned for Wonwoo already but I haven't written for Jeonghan yet so I went with him! hope you enjoy ilyyyyy

word count: ~700

Jeonghan knows you think you’re being slick, pulling him in for a kiss just before he wanders into the island, running to grab a book for him so he doesn’t bump his elbow into the hard edge of the shelf, draping blankets over the back of the couch because he always winds up with bruises when he launches himself over the top. It’s true that he gets shy when people try to take care of him, would much rather be the one fussing than the one being fussed over, but he can’t say he minds when it’s you.

He’s never felt like this before, never wanted someone to take care of him like this, until he met you. You’re just too perceptive for your own good, always noticing when he holds his arm a bit differently or when his hip feels tender or when his back is bruised in the same line as the edge of the couch. In the beginning, Jeonghan really didn’t notice what you were doing, and he had to hand it to you because normally, he’s the one secretly protecting people. He keeps it a secret because he has to maintain his couldn’t care less image, but he assumes you stay sneaky because you think he’ll be annoyed that you’re babying him.

And maybe that’s how he would’ve seen it, if it was anyone but you. Anyone but you, who makes sure all of your friends have a ride home at the end of the night, you, who orders dinner to the office when they’ve all been working for hours with no break, you, who always asks the quiet ones what they were saying when they’ve been interrupted.

How could he be annoyed when you’re the one who sees how much Mingyu shrinks when they’re being just a bit too mean, and leap in to defend him? You’re the one who notices when Minghao starts pulling away, needing some space, and provide a distraction so he can escape without questions. You’re the one who can differentiate between regular Soonyoung behavior and when he’s actually excited about something, and always give him your full attention, never realizing how Soonyoung glows after. You’re the one who can tell when Jihoon is nervous to show them a song, and as soon as he looks away, you glare at all of them to make sure they know too. You’re the one who keeps every bracelet and necklace Shua makes you, you’re the one who listens to Wonwoo whenever he reaches a new level in his game and is excited to tell someone, you’re the one who watches Chan’s new choreo with rapt attention and applaud before he’s even done panting.

You’re just a natural caregiver, it’s who you are, and Jeonghan wouldn’t change you for anything.

Not when you care for his friends just as much, if not more, than he does. Especially not when you’re one of the only people who can take care of him without making him feel babied.

So, when his chopsticks roll off the table and he ducks down to get them, he doesn’t bother worrying about hitting his head on the way up, because he knows your hand will be there. And there it is, he thinks, feeling his hair brush over your fingers and looking over to see you still in conversation with Cheol. It must be instinctual by now, your drive to keep him safe, and Jeonghan can’t stop himself from grabbing your hand, intertwining your fingers with his, and pressing a kiss to your skin. He doesn’t see a reason to stop himself, not when you look over at him with a small smile, squeezing his hand in yours, and lean down to press a quick kiss to his shoulder.

Jeonghan doesn’t thank you out loud, knows that’ll make you nervous and shy, but he has his own ways of showing his appreciation. And if some of those ways are just as enjoyable for him as they are for you, well, that’s his business.

Let's start off with figuring who the caregivers, switches, and littles are. Since seventeen has many dynamics it's kind of debatable on who is who or which is which. Let's start finding out their dynamics.

Jeonghan, Jihoon, Minghao, and Vernon are the caregivers because they either act motherly or is just chill.

Wonwoo, Joshua, Hoshi, Seokmin are switches and most of them has a baby headspace.

Seuncheol, Mingyu, Seungkwan, Chan, and Junhui are the littles because even if they're viewed as the strongest or in their maturity, i know that they want to be babied (argue with the wall!!).

Seungcheol, Chan, and Joshua's main caregivers are Jeonghan and Jihoon. Junhui's main caregiver is Minghao and lastly, Mingyu's main caregivers are both Seokmin and Wonwoo.

But when some switches are also in headspace like seokmin and wonwoo, the main caregivers or the other switches out of headspace are the ones taking care of them. Now let's say that Joshua felt like slipping in his headspace and it's just him and chan home or in the dorms. I reckon that even before slipping Joshua would call or message Jeonghan or the groupchat to alert them which leads to atleast one member to take care of them, may it be a little or switch out of headspace or an caregiver, depending of who'll arrive.

And when in performances or schedules, some of the littles and switches would repress their headspace for so long that the other members would need to force or beg them to slip. All in all, they just love each other so much and would accept whatever their members are or what they feel (i love them)

concerned but chill about it. yall vern is so laid-back and chill you wouldn't be able to tell he's concerned at first glance. i don't know why but I'm getting this inkling that he would turn on music and offer to dance with you just to distract your mind from whatever it is you're working on! he wants you to feel well focused when working and isn't going to outright force you to stop working even if he knows you probably need to he will distract you though

hes conflicted; wants you to pause what you're doing to come eat and then nap with him but like vernon he's not gonna force you to do it! he thinks it should be your choice and doesn't wanna upset you by making you stop what you're doing. even if eating and sleeping is important and he knows they're both very important he's still so conflicted. and of course you catch onto that and so to save him from torturing himself with his thoughts you do go eat and nap with him which IN return makes for a smiley happy dino

I heard yelling from behind me and turned around on the couch to see what was happening.

“Shua, get back in bed!” Jeonghan shouted.

Joshua groaned. “Oh, come on.”

“Hyung,” Jeonghan said, turning to me. “Help me out here.”

I raised an eyebrow, confused, when Joshua suddenly sneezed. “hehTCH!”

“Bless you,” I said. “What’s going on?”

“He caught Mingyu’s cold.” Jeonghan rolled his eyes. “He’s been sneezing all morning.”

I eyed Joshua. His nose and cheeks were flushed and he looked like he was on the cusp of sneezing again.

He sniffled. “Hyung, just let me cook some food.”

“Not with that cold,” Jeonghan insisted.

I shrugged. “Shua, he’s kind of right.”

Joshua pouted before turning away. He brought his shirt up to his face. “huETCHh! ETCHhu!” He sighed.

“Aw, bless you.” I stood and walked over to Joshua, putting an arm around his back.

“Thank you.” He rubbed at his nose.

I rubbed his back. “You’ll get tired too easily,” I said. “You should go back to bed and I’ll make you some food.”

He shook his head and pouted again, tearing up. “Aish, don’t cry.” Jeonghan put a hand on Joshua’s cheek.

“Oh, Shua, what’s wrong?” I cooed.

“I don’t know,” he whined. “I’m just hungry and I don’t feel well.”

“Oh, sweetheart.” I rubbed his back gently. “Come sit and hyungs will take care of you.” I led him to the couch and sat him down before hugging him tight. When I stood, Jeonghan took my spot next to Joshua and put an arm around his shoulders.

A movie played in the background while the soup cooked on the stove. I heard a couple muffled sneezes from the other room. “Bless you!” I called.

“Aigo,” Jeonghan giggled. “Shua, you scared me.”

When I returned to the living room with a bowl of soup, Joshua’s head was resting on Jeonghan’s shoulder. He quickly glanced at me before jerking forward, shoving his face in his arm. “hahTCH! haITCHh!”

“Oh, bless you, bless you.” I sat opposite of Jeonghan on Joshua’s other side.

He sniffled. “Ugh, thanks, hyung.”

I kissed his temple. “Here,” I handed him the soup. “Eat up, love.”

“Thank you.” He looked up at me fondly and grinned.

“Do you want tea or anything else?” Jeonghan stood and stretched.

“I’d honestly prefer coffee.” Joshua held a tissue to his nose.

Jeonghan smiled. “Anything you want, Joshie.” He scampered off to the kitchen while Joshua ate.

I couldn’t help but run my fingers through his hair until he was finished with his soup and coffee. He came closer so I could cuddle him. “Feel better now?”

He nodded and sniffled again before rubbing his nose.

“You alright?” I looked down at him resting on my lap.

He pinched his nose. “My nose itches.” His nose twitched.

“I know, Shu-ya.” I frowned and moved his hair from his face.

He cupped a hand over his face. “huhTCH! TCHhiee!”

“Aigo,” I handed him a tissue. “Bless you.”

He blew his nose. “Thank you, hyung.” He closed his eyes, head still resting on my lap.

“Goodnight, Shua,” Jeonghan cooed. “We love you.”

“Nado,” Joshua sighed.

Look! I feel like some idol producers and leaders, like Woozi / Suga/ Rm/ Bang Chan/ Hongjoong/Taeyong and etc, work so damn hard, until exhaustion sometimes. Although I would consider them care givers, I also think they want and need a care giver too! Someone who they don’t have to tell, because for fucks sake they won’t, they need something like a hug or a warm meal .

Imagine the happiness on this guys, when their partner just shows up at the studio with a warm meal, or when they hug them while they’re still sitting on their chair and their heads fall into the chest and the partner gives them a kiss on the head. Most of the times they are big spoons but when they’re tired or just emotional, they want to be the little spoons without even have to verbalise it, they just want to feel the warmth and someone telling them “You are doing amazing, but you have to rest. Okay, love? I love you!” . -SWA

Admin Moon: I don't like tagging people especially because I haven't had The Purple Rose and The Silver Lions return properly. Soonyoung's post and rant was simply a ghost that was meant to be a small hint of return. But I want to set things straight.

With the case happening recently in regards to Mingyu, I don't condone whether it is true or not. But it is NOT affiliated with the Kim Mingyu I run under this account. So I should NOT be receiving such things privately in regards into "what I shall do with Mingyu" if the claims are true.

Whether or not we gain confirmation about it as true of false, I'm not obliged to change my bot, my character with these implemented traits from a storyline because of this because it was told later in the years and was revealed so abruptly. But as I state and will always state, even if I run these idol bots, they aren't in anyway the idols you see today but people who I feel would be able to take on traits from my own creative mind, put out for others to interact. In preparation for it, Han Hyunjae temporarily requisitions Yoojin’s laptop and combs through the internet looking for photos of the Hunters that he thinks his family should know about in advance. He goes down one too many internet rabbit-holes, takes way too many screenshots, transcribes a summary of the notes in his future diary, then painstakingly puts everything together into a neat little presentation for them.

Han Hyunjae closes his eyes and lies down on the bed while Yoohyun calls out an affirmation over his head. “Then I think— oh! Han Hyunjae closes his eyes again and tunes out the loud conversation going on around him. And wishes, not for the first time, that he’d picked literally any other name when he first got here.

yerim says gay rights cuz she’s like 12 rn and she straight up does not really care. but says it in, like, the most frustrating way possible.

sometimes you just need to lie down even as the world keeps throwing shit at you. just lie down and nap for a little bit. especially when the shit in question is the alias regret you had literally back in chapter one of your 25+ chapter story. this is gonna come back to bite you in the ass Very Fucking Soon babe!!!!

Still, Yoojin’s work is fairly repetitive and boring, so Hyunjae and the women pull out a pack of UNO cards from somewhere and start playing while he works, not paying much attention to either of the boys.

Yoojin wonders suddenly if Yoohyun ever felt as homicidal towards him as Yoojin’s currently feeling towards his big brother. If he ever had, then it’s frankly stunning Yoojin’s survived as long as he did. “Do you think I’m stupid,” he snaps. “It’s plugged in.” “Yeah, but did you turn it on.” “You know what, why don’t you touch it and see?” Yoojin unplugs the straightening iron for a minute so that he can take it over to Hyunjae, presenting it to him with a flourish. The heat will hold on for the few seconds this takes. “Come on, touch it right now. I dare you.”

“What if you used a regular iron. Like for clothes,” Hyunjae says, completely ignoring Yoohyun. Yoojin hums thoughtfully.

these three are already so mad and they don’t know that between S and L there’s SS and SSS. they’re gonna be SOOOOO mad. anyway yerim remains the chillest in the room

“So, say you needed to cauterize a wound in an emergency, and you didn’t have access to healing items or Hunters. You could drop the Resistance there, set it on fire, and just… sear it shut.” Yoohyun blinks, an intrigued look coming into his eyes, and looks down at his own forearm. “That’s true, I could probably…” “Yeah, food for thought, I suppose.” “What the hell?!” Yerim yelps. “Though it’s up to you if you want to try it. I still think your hair is fine as is, we don’t have to—” “That’s horrifying,” Yoojin blurts. “No, I should know how. In case something happens like you said. How do I do it?” “Now hold on a second,” Jiyeon says, voice rapidly rising in pitch.

sometimes i think about how dungeon stuff made yoojin significantly more chill with violence and murder and self mutilation in some cases. and how he comments specifically (i think this might be in a slightly later chapter, possibly unreleased) that people like myeongwoo who don’t have those extra years of immersion in the dungeon culture still reject and avoid violence and killing whenever possible. really makes you think

omg yes this needs to be addressed ASAP thank you for asking such a hard hitting question. this Is legit so important it’s gonna be a two parter

seungcheol: leaaaaaaadeeeeeeeer babeeeeey he is CONSTANTLY taking responsibility for everything going on. god hoshi just set the camp on fire? it’s my fault I should have lit the campfire myself. one of the main heavy lifters of the group, you cannot forget his mars trine Jupiter making him SUPER STRONG and ultimately very coordinated. tbh zombie combat master. may not know how to conserve his energy between doing the bulk of the physical work, and staying up late strategizing as his cap won’t put things down and his leo desperately doesn’t want to let others down.

Jeonghan: a savage. very strategic so i imagine he helps gets them to a safe place at the first sign of danger, but i feel like if they were in any actual immediate danger he’d be capable of acting quickly and in a way that’ll totally shock his libra placements. like he just blacks out and his scorpio mars takes over. probs makes it to the end if he doesn’t sacrifice himself because, if it came down to it, if they were in a bad situation the decision is clear if it’s between saving someone else or dealing with the grief/guilt afterward. god this is making me sad.

Joshua: okay joshua would be like really sad in the beginning. i’m sorry he’d just be sad, and honestly he’d be mostly sad at the end of the day because he’s not sleeping in his own bed?? like he’s in survival mode but the moment there is a lull and he thinks about it, oh man. he’s a man of routine thanks to that cap/taurus and losing that routine may take a huge toll considering it’s correlation to his moon. BUT he’s also a very clever and practical guy. once he gets over it he’ll be one of the masterminds behind the operation that kills all the zombies. ultimately very enduring, just REALLY sad and SUPER irritable in the beginning cuz of that afflicted moOoOoOoOon.

Jun: since jeonghan is too busy killing zombies jun has to take over as caregiver #1. he’s there trying to ensure that everyone is rested and eating as i think his taurus would really come out if his gemini/aries doesn’t have a whole lot of wiggle room to play given the APOCALYPSE. and with taurus in mars, this makes him less quick to action and more thoughtful and premeditating, and i think this would really show in stressful situations so long as he keeps his aries moon under control. may be a good at strategizing, but will mainly be there trying to hold down the fort.

Soonyoung: loose canon. is so OVERWHELMED with everything going on thanks to that gemini trying to process everything. he wants to act but he wants to plan, there’s a part of him that’s pissed and wants to release that energy, but also a part that wants to get the whole situation handled TONIGHT but is also so so so tired. they’d probably have to lock him in a room for the first few nights just to make sure he doesn’t do anything irrational. thinks very quick so he can be good at fighting them zombies but he’d be too eager to go rogue.

Wonwoo: manages to stay very level-headed. great on the field as he’s so great at taking in the situation and finding the best solutions thanks to kite i talked about in his chart first impressions. i think his cancer sun will come out in the sense that, he’ll be really focused on trying to maintain moral. will probs be the first to try and crack a joke because of how level-headed his moon trine saturn makes him, giving him a sense of clarity even in these moments. and then that leo influence just wants to try and lightening up the mood and everyone else is like…. Jihoon: savage #2, heavy lifter #2. he has absolutely no qualms in fighting some zombies, with all of that fire/scorpio and he’s honestly just pissed and ready to take that anger out on SOMETHING. Virgo mars will make him more analytical and pragmatic than that fire may imply so he won’t fly off the rails too much. tho if he’s in any danger from himself, its in that wrath. but there is a self-preserving ferocity in him that’d kick in whenever needed from that scorpio, so i’m not too concerned. strong boy. tiny boy, can fit inside small ducts for sneak attacks.
