Having the Adam and Caleb playlists on my phone is the BEST (I’m an Apple Music user). Listening to them really makes you feel all of the emotions in the best way (even the sadder songs). I highly recommend checking them out!!!💚😇

I have also attached links from The Bright Sessions website that lists all of the songs from each playlist if you want to listen to them too (including all of the other characters too!)

I'm always surprised upon relisten how immediately hostile to each other Chloe and Damien are.

Chloe does admittedly have a bit of a throughline of deciding who other people are for them, largely influenced by her ability. and she's clearly very put off by not being able to instantly reinforce any opinions she has with his thoughts. But her opinions of people are also heavily influenced by her unending optimism. It's really jarring to have a complete lack of that optimism in regards to Damien, especially since when they first meet she's finding nice things to say about Owen, who hadn't been remotely redeemed at that point. If her faith in people immediately disappears when she can't read their thoughts, then I would really have liked to see that explored further, especially when her power's on the fritz. And if doesn't disappear, then what's up?

And on Damien's end? You cannot tell me that Mr. Everything That Is Wrong In My Life Is Wrong Because Of My Ability wouldn't immediately latch onto someone his ability doesn't work on. Like, Damien's estimation of his inability to connect with others is clearly inaccurate given the fact that his behavior doesn't change when he doesn't have his ability anymore (in the show proper at least, to my recollection, he does change in Some Faraway Place). But the point is Damien absolutely believes all of his problems are because of his ability even if I don't. I straight up don't believe he wouldn't have hung all his hopes and dreams on her the same way he did with Mark.

#i suppose you could say chloe is also influenced by joan's thoughts about damien #but that again brings us back to her awww-ing at owen who joan also hates #the bright sessions #chloe turner #damien gorham

I've been listening to The Magnus Archives while I work (this is technically a relisten, but i only have gotten about a quarter of the way through the show at the furthest listening and I don't remember anything, so we'll pretend it's a fresh listen) and I just love this show so much. It's so creepy. And I am listening via YouTube and I love peeking at the comments to see what I miss from an episode, if there's connections to a previous episode.... Or what stands out to others.

On the flip side of that I've been listening to The Bright Sessions when I'm off of work and playing games, and mostly that's just been me crying about how adorable Caleb and Adam are.

And how much I love Sam and Chloe.

And remembering what the result of Damien helping Dr Bright with her brother is 😬 and screaming at her not to trust him.
