Day one of the con is done. Met the coolest people - some for the first time, some for the second. Jason Liebrecht called me sweetheart like 5 times and told me that he loved my Dabi art while he signed it 🥹

Zach Aguilar is just as sweet as Tanjiro is, so is Chris Wehkamp. J Michael Tatum and I had a great talk about how incredible Erwin and Scar are as characters, and Austin Tindle and I agreed that Knives did nothing wrong. I love them all. More cool people to come tomorrow.

Thanks to one of my brother’s friends, I got the chance to talk to the anime’s Miles Edgeworth over the phone and he said that I must be one of the biggest Miles Edgeworth fans and in his Edgeworth voice, “Cody, I’d like you to join my prosecutorial team. Your skills would be perfect for helping achieve a guilty verdict, and under no circumstances would I ever object to you”

SacAnime 2023 Ramble

I GOT CHRISTOPHER WEHKAMP'S AUTOGRAPH YESTERDAY

i ended up framing it and putting it on the wall, I got it on a Miles Edgeworth print and it's so cool, my legs were shaking thb. i also got a sailor moon poster and three cute pins, they say "I live to spite my enemies", "I love someone with autism ☺ (It's me)", and "Not all disabilities are visible" It's from a shop that cuts up plushes and resews different doll parts together and makes cute pins like pronoun pins and protect trans kids pins. It was so cool!

also Christopher Wehkamp shook my hand and said "Asher, I do not object to you." AUGDUIHUKHSGIDGUI he even said it in the Miles Edgeworth voice, I was stimming so much after that, HE ALSO SAID MY COSPLAY WAS GOOD AHUAAHAIUHIUSIAHA i also got recognized TWICE in my cosplay (April May from Ace Attorney) and I saw someone dressed up as Trucy Wright, also someone with a Dahlia Hawthorne bag who said my cosplay was great, I also had someone ask to take a picture with me, it was so cool and welcoming. I loved that convention so much!

I'm autistic and get overwhelmed because of loud noise easily, but even though it was so loud, I never got overwhelmed once somehow, I know it's not me coping well or anything because I still freak out, but it was really fun and I never felt overwhelmed at all, It was just so fun! Everyone was so kind, I'm glad to have seen and met all these people! It was so fun looking at everyone's cosplay and recognizing people's characters and seeing how much effort people put into them!

I loved being at SacAnime, I'm definitely going again!

Please excuse me I have to take a moment to be a gushy fan girl.

I finally achieved a dream of mine- have gotten a print of my art be good enough to be signed by someone, specifically a voice actor.

I was so lucky to meet Eric Vale and Christopher Wehkamp who voice Phoenix Wright and Miles Edgeworth in the English Anime. And they BOTH displayed a print I gave them at their booth. I am so happy I cannot even explain.

AND to top it all off, Christopher spoke his “I do not object” line to me and I nearly fainted.

Also according to the credits they used both. Christopher Wehkamp and I guess whatever they’d been able to record of Billy Kametz before he passed, and both of them NAILED Roman. Loved it~!!!
