but his tattoos and piercings turned out great

and the back of his head is suitably horrible. I had originally covered his hands in blood but I wiped it back when I didn’t like it, and it turned into such a nice (and unplanned) effect to just have a little red staining his hands

Cedarsmoke(He/Him) - a warrior serving during the time the Clans were founded, he was initially with the traveling group and acted as one of their leaders. He was offered to become HillsClan’s first leader before Hazelstar, but he refused his nine lives to aid his new Clan in other ways

Fishclaw(He/Him) - A monarch when the Clans were founded, brought into the Clan as an outsider while the groups were starting to get their bearings. The tom quickly proved himself to be a protective force of nature to the blossoming Clan’s young, single-handedly chasing a bear out of HillsClan territory to protect a group of kits. He is still revered by parents and mentors alike

Claypigeon(He/Him) - A warrior serving when the Clans were founded, brought into the Clan after a hunting accident left him injured and stranded. Caught in a twoleg net, Clay wasn’t sure what would become of him, until a HillsClan patrol found and rescued him. He joined the Clan on the chance for safety and companionship, and was known as one of their kindest warriors

Sowsnow(She/Her) - A warrior and monarch serving during the epidemic, Sowsnow was the mother to Larkkit and adoptive son Galepaw. Little did she know she was raising the savior of the Clans. With a fierce protectiveness of her babies, she was a foe nobody would ever want to cross. Known for her strong jaws and towering physique, Sowsnow is a warrior HillsClan was lucky to have

Mycelium(They/Them) - A former warrior who served when the Clans were founded. Mycelium led an uninteresting life, dying to the poison Riverfrost had brought to the river. However, when they died, they weren’t sent to StarClan or the Dark Forest-- as neither had existed yet. They had the power to create either, but let their bitterness take over. They wouldn’t create a heaven or hell, but an in-between, filled with dense fog and unfriendly faces. Now as the guardian of that zone, their afterlife’s work is to remind the living of their inevitable ends

Copperdance(She/Her) - A warrior serving during the epidemic, Copperdance was named for the way she seems to “dance” across the battlefield. She’s a strong warrior with a massive dedication to her Clan and loved ones, she’s the sister of Tawnynose and the both of them are hardly seen apart.

Laurelbreeze(He/Him) - A warrior and field medic during the epidemic. Laurelbreeze is rather reserved and dutiful, much like his sister Madtomclaw. He was trained by both a warrior, and the Clan’s healer, Snowsplotch. He takes great pride in his craft and is a key player during the epidemic

Hazelstar(He/Him) - The first leader of HillsClan, chosen when Cedarsmoke declined the title. Hazelstar is a strict warrior, with a knack for mediation and diplomacy. Though he seems prickly(and is), he harbors a deep love for his Clan and Clanmates, and from StarClan prides himself on how far HillsClan has come

Ripplegaze(She/Her) - A warrior serving during the epidemic, Ripplegaze is often called upon as a mediator between her Clanmates. With her sharp mind and knack for diplomacy, cats of her Clan often joke about how she may be a descendant of Hazelstar herself! She takes pride in this, however, and aims to serve her Clanmates to the best of her ability

I sure do! Question is, what do you mean by recent? I got all of the interesting ones (interesting to me) from the last uh... three years? I rarely read unfinished ones, though, so there may be gems I haven't approached yet!

Disconnect (QueerCrusader) - It's a modern influencer AU with Silver and Flint being very in character (I think). There's some emotional constipation, a little bit of drama, and fluff. I really like how Flint and Silver work in this one, how they are reluctant to be together even if it's inevitable. Good, smooth writing, although it's long (totally worth it, tho! The length is a bonus IMHO). Unfinished as of yet, but it's probably the only unfinished one I can recommend <3 (Oh! BTW, it's HOT and totally deserves its E rating!)

Red Wine & Pick-up Lines (Evil_Keshi) - a sweet, humorous, short AU with a very cute twist and horrible pick-up lines. I loved it the moment I've read it. Definitely recommended! The rating is Teen and Up.

Ye Go To Be Kitten Me (Evil_Keshi) - short and sugar-sweet. It has a cat, a grumpy James (grumpy only for show) and an adorable domestic scene between them both. The rating is Gen and it's absolutely adorable!

The sweetest devotion, hitting me like an explosion (Jaynovz, Brinnanza) - Flint is a baker, Silver is a busker, parrot is a parrot. James is too grumpy for his own good, Silver is definitely irritating, but they make do in the grand scheme of things. Very good portrayal of them, and the spicy scenes are spicy :D The rating is E. It's a long one, but definitely worth it. There's heartbreak, there's angst, there's comfort, and there's fluff.

I Want Us Both To Eat Well (Claypigeons) - A short but sweet (and FUNNY) au with Silver being completely incompetent in the kitchen and Flint rescuing him from burning the whole apartment down. And cooking for him. Entertaining and fluffy. The rating is Teen and Up.

One Tall Latte With The Oh-shit Flavor (Tio_The_Walrus) - The first part of a longer series, each of them oneshots that can be read as stand-alones. Silver works in a cafe, James has a boat. There's a tiny bit of drama across the series, as well as a lot of comfort, a tiny bit of hurt and angst, some humor and a lot of parrot (although the parrot is there only from the second part onward). Rated Explicit.
