Haven’t seen the latest episode yet but wouldn’t it make more sense to use Vex as bait instead of Keyleth? Vax literally traded his life for hers. He cursed out a god and became her champion to bring back his sister. I’m not denying Vax’s love for Keyleth. But I feel like, based on the physical evidence that Ludinus might’ve learned about, Vex seems like the more obvious choice.
