“Men have had their say for a thousand years!” So take a ticket and get to the back of the queue.

A thousand years? Well, as a thirty something year old, that doesn’t mean much to me.

So now what?

Am I supposed to stand here holding a ticket, watching men and boys sink into the ground around me; to be neglected, mistreated, and killed?

Am I to sit patiently in the waiting room of life, as boys continue to fall behind, and drop out of school?

How far are we supposed to swing the pendulum - before enough is enough?

And when does ‘equality’, really become revenge?

If it is true, that “men have always had their say”, then why can’t we talk about these issues?

Why does discussion in this space, so often result in brittle rebukes of ‘misogyny’?

Why do academics researching male victims of domestic abuse, so often get death threats?

Why do attempts to open centres for men and boys often lead to picketing, and shrill cries for cancellation?

Why do well meaning attempts to post about these things result in shadow bans, deletion, and silliness in the dms?

Why do so many question, or hypothesise about my sexual history, with whines of ‘you sound like an Incel’ and ‘virgin!’

And It’s not just me.

So many of my followers message me about losing friends or family as a result of sharing my content, many more say they have been subjected to needless abuse and bullying too.

When we talk about ‘power and control’, the image many paint is a shady monolith of rich white men atop a high table, tightening a gag onto society.

But really, who is in the dm’s harassing you?

Who is standing, arms crossed, disapprovingly?

Who is whining, crying, and stomping their feet, hogging the lime light and holding the microphone?

Who is really controlling the conversation?

Is it time we talked about the cry bully playbook?

If you get to shout down and silence everybody else into focusing only on your stuff, or even make them self-censor out of wariness of saying anything at all, you're not marginalized or "oppressed," you're the ruling overclass. Who really has the privilege and power?

If transgenders and gays and other crybullies like BLM and Antifa say this, what they mean is "yes we do crybully and fight to suppress your ability to express yourself freely" The consequence for this is better known as the STREISAND EFFECT or worse, you get a violent response. If a person cannot express themselves verbally or artistically i.e. SPEECH, then what else is there but violence? You are doing it to yourselves.

When people say "oh you dont like the consequences well you shouldnt have made a racist/transphobic/homophobic blah blah joke" that just means that I am correct...

You are doing it to yourselves.

You cause people to hate you, transphobia is self inflicted and has nothing to do with your mental illness and everything with your inability to be an ADULT and deal with other people's opinions and allow others to express themselves freely.

You are doing it to yourselves.

For the past decade being a "straight white cisgender heterosexual christian blah blah male" has been the identity under attack by the very people that claim to be victims of oppression... by who?

You are doing it to yourselves.

NOBODY oppressed you, mocking you isnt oppression, laughing at you isnt oppression, being grossed out by you isn't oppression.

You are doing it to yourselves. is it not nice? sure, but suck it up buttercup, the consequences of your incessant attempts to force people to not segregate from you and have their own spaces, games, movies entertainment etc. not express their disdain, disgust and disagreement is making them RACIST, HOMOPHOBIC and TRANSPHOBIC.

You guys are like a intrusive employer who calls you after 9pm or a helicopter parent driving their kid to the brink of snapping or a clingy controlling girlfriend demanding to know WHERE YOU HAVE BEEN AND WHO YOU HAVE BEEN HANGING AROUND WITH AND WHAT HAVE YOU BEEN DOING blah blah blah.

You are doing this to yourselves. Nobody cared that you segregated yourself to a gay club and sodomized each other with baseball bats while dressed like Dorothy or Snow White, NOBODY FUCKING CARED. And then you demanded we accepted your mental illness as normal and addressed you like you are your weekend persona, well fuck that, I'd rather be transphobic, homophobic, racist etc. than allow you to force me to do anything. The worst trend I see is when people say the most inflammatory shit about people with stigmatized mental illnesses/conditions and when those people with the conditions inevitably (and rightfully) become defensive or pissed off, people then go, "look what I said about those people! They're awful and subhuman! Look at how they're treating me!"

This especially goes for people with cluster B disorders, low/no empathy, or people who otherwise have "scary" or "threatening" disorders.

Nationally, hate crimes against Jews are at shockingly high and disproportionate levels, with four times as many anti-Jewish crimes as anti-Muslim and anti-Arab crimes combined. One need only look at some of the recent scenes on campus, such as anti-Israel demonstrators besieging Jewish students locked in a room at Cooper Union, to understand why Jewish students are afraid.

Moreover, it is not the pro-Israel rallies and activists that have regularly descended into violence, intimidation, and vandalism — or barrages of antisemitic and genocidal chants.

It is the Jewish students who are being attacked at their own rallies or while putting up posters of innocent Israeli civilians taken hostage by Hamas. It is Jewish students who are being forced to reject a central part of their Jewish identity if they want to participate in university functions.

We know where much of this hate is coming from. As shown by one study, the presence of the major anti-Israel student organization, Students for Justice in Palestine (SJP), is one of the best predictors for the perception of a hostile climate for Jews on campuses.

As one New York appellate court ruling explained, a university’s conclusion that an SJP chapter would “work against, rather than enhance [a university’s] commitment [to] open dialogue” was “not without sound basis in reason” nor “taken without regard to the facts.”

Which brings us to the “cry” part of “crybully.”

Anti-Israel activists shriek and howl over alleged threats to their free speech. But the evidence is thin that there is any reason for anti-Israel students to feel that their freedom of expression is under any serious threat on campus.

Moves against various SJP chapters on universities have not been on the basis of their beliefs or expression, but rather their violations of legitimate university rules, and even plausible arguments that National SJP has run afoul of the Anti-Terrorism Act.

The really awful thing that people in fandom have to learn is that if you have a soft heart and a tendency to care about other people then you're going to get taken advantage of by crybullies. This is probably also a life-lesson but it's never been more apparent to me in fandom circles where this stuff has social currency afforded without a second thought.

I totally love how some people are ever so eager to pull up their past abuse as a shield from criticism in order to mock, jeer, and harass (incl. even death threats) others in the present, but especially so because it is supposedly our sacred duty to check their detailed bio before daring to contradict them, but who cares about how anybody else has been abused and how much! Apparently, nobody else deserves to be a victim but they!

Being empathetic to a person (who tried to MURDER YOU) when they are dying and being snarky/mean to that person (who TRIED TO MURDER YOU) when they are clearly alive and not dying are not conflicting, especially when later in that episode, when Cassandra was dying, Rose showed her empathy again. None of this shows any change in Rose’s empathy levels unless you are actively searching for reasons to justify your hate boner.

Wishing all the people choosing to be crybully keyboard “activists” in the worst, least useful, and most damaging way possible a very Go Touch Grass.

The time spent away from your computer will support the causes you claim to champion a hell of a lot more than what you’re currently engaging in.

…that being said, you’d think, if these people had any loyalty to their cause, they wouldn’t use Twitter at all, but alas, the double standard is their favorite gambit.

An influencer in your camp literally groomed a child, but y’all stayed nice and quiet until she went and said something “problematic”. Funny, that. Being a degenerate sex creep is fine, but then they engaged in wrongspeak, they are no longer allowed in the collective. Might make you look bad.

Social Media becoming the only means of communication for almost two solid years has definitely shown us that we’ve got an entire generation of failures on our hands.

Do you really have nothing better to do than be an asshat over someone posting a silly headcanon? I've been in this fandom since 2005 and it's sad how the Harmonian streak of being crybullies continues with no end in sight.

Yes. I think it’s fun analyzing, debunking, or sharing my opinions on stuff, especially when it’s, y’know, during the weekend. I could do the same thing for Harmione headcanons if I wanted to. Lord only knows how harsh and critical I’ll be when I get back to reading fanfic.

And it’s sad how the Harmonian streak of crybullies continues with no end in sight.

How am I a crybully again? I remember way back, when an infamous Ron stan came on to one of my (relatively old) posts, played the “victim” card, and started harassing me for 3-4 hrs straight. I somehow doubt you’ve ever sent a message to them like you did to me.

But me? I don’t play the “victim” card nor go to other peoples’ posts and start harassing them just because I think they’re wrong. What’s the point?

P.S. adding “asshat” and “crybully” to my list of insults I’ve been called while being in this fandom. They gotta count for something when people can’t do anything other than resorting to name-calling.

Remember kids, a crybully is the person who jeers and sneers and picks on someone and laughs and tugs your tail -- then later plays the victim and tells everyone else how you're a bad dog.

Classic present-day American behaviour

Extremely Trumpian.

Crybullies have become a very common type of typical American, wanting you to believe that the only person who ever did wrong was YOU. This is another form of them being unable to control their primal aggression and desire to always have some 'high ground' over you, even if it is not even a moral one.

King of the hill games in America and I strongly feel that America needs to grow up and learn to be more fully human.

If they cared, they'd admit what they did to you, ask you if it hurt you, and apologise. They'd do it freely without you pulling teeth to get it. But they don't care -- some part of them likes this white people stuff about Don't Back Down -- they're deeply wedded to white people stuff that cucked them into Never Back Down, because they're deeply committed to imperialism and maintaining the status quo, even as they see themselves as change agents (just as Trump sees himself as a change agent) -- and that's something you have to remember as the hunt for the rare case of an American who truly cares continues.

related to body image stuff: it is so easy as a ~conventionally attractive~ thin person to talk about the weirdness of how people behave about my body without framing myself as a victim or somehow suffering as much as people experiencing fatphobia. other thin people should try it
