Thanks so much for 500 followers! To celebrate I'll be writing some headcanons specifically for this version of Gyutaro. Most of these headcanons will be relationship headcanons since that's what his simps enjoy the most. This will be Gyutaro x gn!reader. Gyutaro is weird. He isn't just your typical guy. I feel like first I need to establish why this man is so fucking weird.

At first things were normal. He was completely "canon" until his sister convinced him to join tumblr to meet his simps. After that, things changed for him. He was meeting new people and trying new things. It was the first time he did something on his own, before this all he did was kill, eat, repeat.

He had almost no social skills and didn't know how to function properly in this new environment. He's 126 years old, but it was like he was an infant again, and he felt lost and clueless. The only thing he had to teach him how to behave around people was tumblr. Can you imagine an infant being taught social interaction by tumblr? Yeah, and you wonder why he's so weird.

Not to mention the first person who he really trusted to show him the ropes and take him under their wing. Driptaro. Who else would Gyutaro trust more than himself? Another version of himself of course! And that's how their bromance started. Most of Gyutaro's relationship knowledge he learned from Driptaro too.

Since joining tumblr Gyutaro has had his fair share of relationships. And man, is it difficult to be in a relationship with him. Especially if you're a human.

Getting into a relationship with him is hard enough, because he rarely catches feelings. Most the people that show interest in him are just straight up thirsty for him, and that can push him away. He'll just label them as another thirsty simp like everyone else. Since so many people are flirting with him and trying to get with him, it's very rare that he would develop feelings for someone.

But if you do things right he'd fall for you. He'll deny it but he really wants to be loved.

If you're able to get into a relationship with him it's going to be difficult. He may be a cool guy but let's not forget that he's still Gyutaro. And he can be an asshole sometimes. You'll need to be extremely patient with him if you want things to work. Even one fight could end it for good. His anger gets the best of him sometimes and if he gets pissed off enough, he'll just end things and pretend he never cared about you in the first place.

Never tell him what to do. Especially if you're a human. He'd snap and blow up at you for thinking you have authority over him. He's upper moon 6, no human has the right to tell him what to do. The only people who are allowed to do so are Daki, Muzan, and maybe some of the upper moons.

If you're a human, he's going to think he has all of the authority. He thinks you're just a silly human, and you need to listen to him because he knows what's good for you. He thinks he's actually protecting you by doing this.

He prefers dating humans because they're weak. Gyutaro may be "ugly" but he knows that he's strong. And nothing makes him feel more fulfilled than being able to protect someone he cares about. He wants his partner to come to him for comfort and protection. That'd make him feel so happy.

Not to mention he's a bit of a yandere, though he HATES being called a yandere. This side of him really only comes out if he really is falling for someone.

He has a lot of flaws when it comes to relationships but he has a lot of great qualities too. Like he's honestly a sweetheart. He'll take you on romantic dates, bring you gifts, and tell you cheesy jokes so he can hear your cute laugh.

When you're around he'll be a blushing mess. Always wanting to be close to you and taking care of you. He'll never admit it, but he falls in love quickly. All he really wants is to be loved.

His favorite thing is cuddling. If you were his partner he'd cuddle you all day in his bed. And when you try to leave he'd hold you tighter and beg you not to go. You'd have to pry his heavy body off of you as he pouts and lays on top of you, trying to get you to stay.

He craves the love that a relationship brings, but at this point he doesn't believe he'll ever get it. He's had his fair share of heartbreak and he thinks he doesn't deserve love. Since everyone just cares about his eggplant he thinks that that's all he's good for.

He thinks he isn't cut out for love, and that the only way he can get affection is through hookups. It makes him really sad because he wants a partner, but he believes he doesn't deserve that.

When Gyutaro first came to tumblr, he wanted nothing to do with sex. He had lived for so long convincing himself that it was something he could never have, so he also convinced himself that he hated it.

But in reality it's something he really enjoys. He only learned that when Driptaro taught him about sex and told him how awesome it was. Only then was he willing to give it a shot. After trying it for himself, he found out it was actually pretty fun and something he wouldn't mind doing again.

Since people throw themselves at him all the time, it's not surprising that he's had a few sexual partners. But by no means does he want to hook up with all of his simps, sometimes things just happen you know? He's mostly done it with people he had romantic feelings for, but he has had a few hookups with people he barely knew. He's slept with women, men, humans, and demons in the past. So he knows what he's doing.

He much prefers to have sex with someone he's in a relationship with though. But if he isn't in a relationship he's ok with hooking up too. Especially if he's had a rough day and is feeling bad about himself. He'll do anything for some affection to drown the pain. This is when he's most likely to have the casual hookup.

But he really enjoys that intimacy, and the feeling of love he gets from having sex with someone he loves. Honestly, if you date him he may try to do it all day with you. His stamina is infinite so he could literally go forever.

He can be pretty rough. And we all know he's big downstairs too. So if you ever sleep with him, it's something you'll never forget.

He really does try to be gentle though, especially if he's with a human. He'll go slow and ask you if you're ok. Soft moans leaving his lips as he slowly thrusts into you while holding your hand.

126. “what has you so excited” with TERZO PLEASE

It's been a long day. A long meeting and then sermon, followed by working confession. It's late when he gets back to his room, back sore from having to sit in the cramp box for so long with nothing much to keep him occupied but his phone, that's battery had long since died, his thoughts, which constantly drifted to you in worry, and the occasional confessor. He gives praise for their sin, advice for their lives, and all around guidance when asked and needed. The usual Monday duties.

As he ventures down the hall towards your shared suite he can't help but have that sense of worry wiggle back to the surface. He hoped you were feeling better. You had been suffering from the flu for the past week. Nausea, a lack of appetite, soreness and extreme fatigue. He had suggested going to the Abbey doctor but you had complained that it was fine, just a stomach bug, that you would be back on your feet in a day or two.

You're normally right about things like that. You know your body very well, hardly ever got sick, and he believes you when you say that you'll be fine but he also had told you that if you weren't better by tomorrow he would carry you to the clinic if he must.

Finally at his door he raises a brow to see the light emerging from the crack below. Were you up? He opened the door and smiles when he sees you doing laundry on the couch. He runs his eyes over your figure. You were still dressed comfortably but you had changed clothes, your complexion was healthy, and you hair was wet from a shower. As he opened the door you immediately dropped the shirt you were folded and turned to him with the brightest smile he had seen in a while.

A welcomed breath of fresh air from a long week of seeing your face contorted in tired and sick pain. Speaking of air, the office smelt vaguely of lemon, as though you had done more than just laundry but also cleaned. Which was unusual for you to do yourself, they had orderlies for that. But he wasn't going to complain about you feeling well enough to want to do it yourself.

"I'm home." He greeted, happy to see you in better spirits. Much better spirits because as soon as your eyes meet his, you start to do that thing he loves most of all about you, the thing that quickly had him falling in love and marrying you within a year.

You start to shine.

You're happiness has always been contagious to him. You smile has always had his own stretching on his face. You laughter and giggles never failing to send butterflies through his chest and adding his along to the mix. You seem to always be able to find joy in anything and have always more than eagerly been willing to share it with him.

He's not sure what it is you have to show him this time but he hopes it's as neat as the cool rock you found in Primo's garden earlier that month. That same rock that now sits on the mantle place next to the cute succulent pot he found in the shape of a corgi.

You practically bounce up to him, tapping your hand to your side and grinning at him with a manic smile. Whatever it is had overfilled you with enough pep that you can't seem to sit still.

"Welcome home!" You say with an amount of cheer and happiness that he hasn't seen since last Ritual. Always the bubbly one but today seems especially so. He takes in your appearance again, your eyes alert and your cheeks flushed with color. Quickly his own smile stretching on his cheeks.

Lucifer, he loved you.

"What has you so excited?" He asked, setting down his mitre and chuckling as you quickly snatch him by his hand and pull him along.

"I have a surprise for you." You giggle and practically drag him to your shared bedroom. You lead him to the bathroom and he raises a brow at the location. You frisk something from the sink and turn to him, holding it behind your back, biting your lip and looking down.

It's a sudden change from over-excited to coy shyness that has him lift a brow.

"Tesoro, what is it?" He asks, "What do you have to show me that has you in such a good mood?" And you take a deep breath before handing him whatever it was you were holding.

A white and pink stick, he immediately recognizes it and checks it. When he sees the double lines the breath is knocked out of him in shock and disbelief. He has to grab the sink to stop from falling as his legs are nearly swept out from underneath him. He eyes flick from the confirmed test results to you, wide and quickly filling with tears.

"You're-!?"

"Surprise! I'm pregnant!" And he immediate has you off your feet, nearly tackled into a hug as he turns you this way and that before setting you back down and holding you close, peppering your face and head in kisses.

You both laugh, both cheer in delight, and hold each other before he starts to sway you side to side in a slow and gentle dance.

Finally, a new chapter in your lives could start, one you had been trying for, for months.

And the both of you, could not be any more happier.

Ring Bearer

A/N: Just a funny drabble about a scaly ring bearer to channel it for the wedding.

“We will not have a lizard be our ring bearer.”

TK pulls out a blue leash from the hanger, one with multiple straps, and holds it up closer to Carlos’ face as if him not seeing it close enough was the problem. “But just imagine how cute it would be to have little Lou II waddle down the aisle, someone holding him on this leash?

"Only you'd call him cute."

Tk frowns. "Not true. The 126 adores him. Nancy called him most handsomest baby in Austin. And I’m sure there’s a way to cutify him further with a tiny flower crown. Not that he'd need it.”

Carlos takes the leash from his fiancés hands and puts it back with a pointed look. “We have a million cute kids in our friend and family circle and you want a lizard to be the ring bearer?”

Mirroring Carlos' look, TK grabs the leash once again and puts it into the basket Carlos is carrying. “I mean, can we at least think about it?”

With a sigh, Carlos leaves it in but starts walking out of this aisle just in case TK has even more ideas of this kind. “How about Buttercup? Wouldn’t that be cute?”

“Not as adorable as our lizard son.”

"TK, please. We will not have Lou II at our wedding. At all. Sorry, but I'm putting my foot down."

Three weeks later, the little white case with a ring strapped to his back bobs side to side as Lou II walks down the aisle toward them. He's not alone. They have a whole cohort of ring bearers at the ceremony. Jonah is carried on Evie’s hip, and Carlos’ nieces Xenia and Antonina are carried on Izzy’s. One of them holds the leash with Lou II and Buttercup just trots without leash.

It predictably doesn't end well. Lou II walks in the wrong direction right away, Buttercup curiously following him and Nancy has to scoop the lizard up and deposit him on the altar. Paul does his best not to shriek when the bearded dragon is put right in front of him.

TK holds it in for the first few seconds, then laughs until his eyes water. Carlos wipes a tear of his fiancés face. He wipes another one off his husbands face after he slides on the ring he retrieves from Lou II's ring backpack.

He just married a man who talked him into a lizard for a ring bearer. That's love, the kind that needs no leash because it chooses to stay, day after day.

Laughing Gas

I have no idea how intense the effects of laughing gas would be and since they are in the open air they probably wouldn't have lasted long, I just thought it would be cute for Nancy and TK to try to wrangle up the giggly boys after that scene ended. Also TK is a very good paramedic, Nancy's just got him beat this time.

Summary: When Rescue 126 pulls up to the scene to find the air saturated with laughing gas and their team victims of its mild and humorous side effects, Nancy and TK's sibling rivalry makes an appearance as they compete to see who can convince the unruly 126 firefighters to put their gas masks on. Spoilers for 4x06

From the ambulance they can see the water explode into the air. Nancy breaths a sigh of relief and exchanges a look with TK whose grip loosens on the stirring wheel. They got the bomb into the water just in time. It had taken Judd no more than a few seconds after Owen sped away to usher Mateo and Paul into the fire truck and follow behind their captain. Then a minute later Tommy is loading them up too, ignoring the protests of the police and bomb squad. There was no need for them to stay where there was no threat and currently half their team was racing a bomb to the river, Judd filled them in on the way, and Tommy certainly expected they would be of more use there.

“Cap it looks like they’re clear.” Nancy says to Tommy who she can hear moving around in the back of the ambulance. “Should we turn back?”

“No, we’re needed here.”

She glances at TK who shrugs and pulls the bus to a stop next to the engine. To her surprise the rest of the 126 is gathered around the edge of the water, perfectly safe, but laughing? Hysterically laughing. Doubled over, using each other for support kind of laughing.

“Gas masks, kids.” Tommy calls to them.

“Laughing gas.” Her chemistry classes come racing back to her. TK lowers his head to the steering wheel, sniggering as they wait for Tommy to circle around, passing them each a mask.

“There’s no telling how much was created and how long it will take to dissipate, even in the open air like this.” Tommy explains. “TK the engine’s got gas masks for everyone on board?”

“Yeah Cap, I’m on it.” TK jumps out, mask securely in place, and jogs over to the rig to unload supplies.

“Nancy, help me round them up.” Tommy says and her tone is something between concerned, amused and exasperated. Today was really turning out to be quite the day.

Wrangling four grown men who are hyped up on adrenaline and laughing gas is no easy feat. Tommy has to focus her attention on Owen, who needs to be checked out after it becomes clear he had jumped from the fake ambulance and rolled down the hill. She and TK herd the rest of them to the truck, convincing them to sit or at least lean against it while they distributed masks.

They’re laughing to much too much to be of any help and the sedative effect of the gas is starting to take affect making their limbs slow and heavy. She kneels in front of Mateo, who blinks a few times before he realizes it’s her.

“I can’t see your face.” Mateo frowns, reaching for her mask. She leans back out of reach, and he pouts at her like a child. “But I like your face.” He whines and then laughs.

“I like your face too, but I have to wear this and so do you.” She tells him as she attempts to slip the mask over his head.

“That’ll make it even harder to see you.”

“Please, if you wear it, we’ll match.” Its stupid but it does the trick. He grins at her and willingly puts the mask on. It takes a minute or so but eventually the glossy look in his eyes starts to fade.

“Better?” She asks.

“Much.”

“Good.” She gives one of his hands a squeeze before turning her attention on TK. He’s handed off one mask to Judd who’s not got enough coordination at the moment to put the mask on himself. The other he’s holding out to Paul who is still laughing so hard that every attempt to take it fails.

“How’s it going?” She asks, trying not to laugh herself.

“Shut up, we can’t all flirt our way to cooperation right now.”

Nancy rolls her eyes and moves to help Judd who has started recounting, with joy, the feeling of speeding down the hill and slamming the engine into the ambulance and saving the day. “I have to tell Gracie.” He says the moment Nancy removes the mask from his hands. He goes for his phone which he miraculously pulls from his pocket on the first try. His slowed movements allow her to take the phone before he can dial.

“You can call her once you put this on.” She reasons, holding the phone away from him and the mask towards him. He looks between the two, his laughter settling into concentration. She could practically hear his mind working.

He wanted to talk to Grace, to talk to Grace he needed the mask, therefore, he needed the mask first. He takes it again and his desire to speak to his wife grants him the coordination to put it on. Nancy holds the phone hostage a moment longer. She has no doubt that the man could dial Grace’s number even in his sleep but she could save him the embarrassment of a misdial just in case by waiting for the effects to wear off.

“How are you doing that?” TK complains. Paul is still maskless and laughing. All of TK’s attempts to put the mask on him are intercepted by Paul, who even in his loopy state of mind is strong enough to stop him and has now made a game of it.

“As awful as it sounds you have to manipulate them.” Nancy takes the mask and holds its out to Paul. “Come on dude, imagine if we send Marjan a selfie of us all in gas masks.” She suggests. The team had taken to trying to outdo Marjan’s selfies that she sent from landmarks and picturesque views during her road trip and while their last attempt had maybe been in poor taste, Nancy can’t see anyone objecting to one after the day had been successfully saved.

“You’re right, can’t believe she’s missing out.” Paul exclaims, taking the mask eagerly and sliding it over his head.

Nancy shoots TK an I-told-you-so look. “See.”

“You suck.” He shakes his head, not mad but clearly irritated at being bested not once or twice but three times. “I’m going to check on my dad.”

“Sore loser.” She calls after him.

“Showoff.”

I head Canon that Paul was Asha's first crush. And now he gets to be her last crush and soul mate. They just make such a beautiful couple and I will be actually really annoyed if we don't get more of them next season.

Since we didn't see much of their development after she was being kind of ghosted by him in 4x7, my fill-in-the-blank of it all is that Paul eventually went to Asha and explained to her the feelings he was having around seeing her again and being reminded of how much basketball meant to what he considered the old version of himself. just fully honest with her. tells her about shooting hoops with the 126 and how good it felt. She follows this up with an invite to watch March Madness at her house (this episode was airing around that time if I remember)... after watching a marathon of wild games, they play pickup one-on-one in the local park like a couple of sports nerds. cue flirty basketball banter.

911 Lone Star Rewatch Season 2!!

I watched the season 2 premiere of Lone Star and I had ALL THE THOUGHTS!

It is season 2, and we are at a museum!

How awesome are museums….

More shows should feature scenes at museums.

Anyway-

The “I can’t hear with the masks” is REAL — like I know that was supposed to be oh they’re bitching about masks but I have customers at work wearing a mask and talking in the softest voice; I’m like project. Yell at me. I beg of you. I am standing over a bread slicer and I cannot fucking hear you.

A tank literally breaking free of its exhibit would be a crazy thing to see though—

Okay I know (or assume I should say) this isn’t what they were going for, but the little boy who says “they have rides?” looks like a baby TK.

Amazing Grace in action!

They really did it — with their military tank they did the action movie cliché of it out of control destruction takes out a watermelon cart for no reason. Never change, Lone Star.

You tell em Carlos! Love seeing him in action—

Well, it was nice for him not to crush all the police cars.

I understand this was a thing in the early 2000’s; the guy is a narcissistic abusive dick to everyone BUT HE’S RIGHT and they could get away with it then but it’s like if he wasn’t on it it would be compelling)

Sorry, back to this. Owen, if you hadn’t mentioned it, she might not have moved your hand towel.

Another topic for discussion; the lone star timeline, and how it is basically swiss cheese.

Why does Owen throw out the timeline of four months? She has to have been there for so much longer than four months. They establish (in the episode where they show Nancy they put Tim’s name on the ambulance) that it’s January 2021 like when it aired.

And like Owen says they’ve been sleeping together since before July.

And the thing that makes the most sense is that Gwyn came to see TK after he’d been shot, then the shutdown happened and she stayed (this was so a thing; like I remember this so vividly. My brother couldn’t come home for Christmas for 2019 so he came in March and just happened to come that second week of March and ended up staying with my mom for three months. He tried so hard to get me to like cooking. I’m just terrible at it; but I had really good leftovers those months cause he went to culinary school).

But the biggest thing with the lone star timeline. It makes no goddamn sense. It will turn you into Mr. Krabs from that episode of Spongebob where he is so despondent after losing his one millionth dollar he pulls his eyes out of his head and starts skipping rope with them.

Also — we were so robbed of TK introduces Carlos to his mom scene!

There’s a lot of good fic of it out there (@carlos-in-glasses has a particularly good one) but we were still robbed.

The fact that Owen and Gwyn really think TK doesn’t know what they’re doing; you beautiful, ocean-eyed dum-dums.

I just love Tommy so much — Charles is right. Woman is perfect.

Like this is the first episode we have Tommy and she just has so much life and drive and it’s like where were you the last ten episodes Tommy!

Here is why this show makes me feral...

I started watching 9-1-1 because people I followed on here were posting cute buddie stuff, and I thought, that looks cute, and I haven’t had my heart broken in a while, so lets give it a go!

In hindsight, I’m glad that Ryan didn’t join the cast until season 2, it gave me a chance to fall in love with the show outside of the idea of the ship. It made me love Buck as an independent character, and want the best for him... and imho that best is Eddie.

But this is not my first ride at the queerbait rodeo, so as soon as I joined the fandom I started seeing all the regular stuff from the writers/produces being like, “we’re just writing best friends, we can’t help if people read into” and though I absolutely saw the relationship for it’s romantic potential, and still very much want it to happen, I became resigned to once again being disappointed.

But then, I got all caught up, and jonesing for my firefam, I thought lets give Lone Star a shot, maybe that will scratch my itch waiting for new episodes of the OG (it didn’t, the show is fine, but missing that special *something*), and I got to the crossover episode! That’s were I became convinced the writers not only know what they’re doing with buddie, but they’re absolutely gaslighting us about them NOT knowing what they're doing!

Because it’s one thing to keep those characters in their bubble and say you don’t see what we see, but when you take them outside of that bubble, and have an outside source (the 126) perceives them, then that says something about how you think the audience sees them as well. I know they’re sisters shows and the same universe, but I think the theory still applies... so how are you going to have Buck spend the entire episode with TK, a gay man, and have his perception of Buck be that this man is asking him out on a date, then expect the audience to thinks it’s just a funny joke? It’s not! Not only that, but you have Eddie spend the whole episode with Marjan and he won’t stop talking about Buck! “You made your son a skateboard?” “Well, Buck helped” then instead of saying goodbye, or offering to hit her up next time he’s in Texas, you know his home state, he ends things with “Please follow Buck back on Instagram”

!!!!! Grrrrr !!!! They know what they’re doing with these characters, and they know how the audience, or at least a healthy percentage of us, perceive them, and they’re toying with us on purpose! So rude, lol!

DUDES, i had a dream that princess Tutu got a reboot and the story got expanded and it was a little creepier. Like Drosselmeyer sent these weird creatures to follow Duck around and she was not having a good time at all. She would spend a lot of time by the lake/pond she came from and she would express her love through art like drawing and even sculpting. So maybe her school was like interdisciplinary where the students take courses for their main focus like her taking several ballet classes, but also taking other courses like these art classes where she was actually pretty decent. But she went from painting Mytho to painting Fakir and her crush on him was more developed and a little more obvious. She was so cute. There was a forest that went past her pond and it was pretty creepy because the forest had all these trees with fallen leaves so they were pointy and frightening and Duck ran into the forest to get away from the creatures Drosselmeyer sent after her, so she got lost and couldn't find her way out for a while. This caused Fakir to worry about her and he sets out to go look for her because he can sense something is wrong. So he takes his horse and sword and goes into the enchanted forest to look for her. The series was SO much fun!!! The story was just like Ohmg!!!! Duck got lost!!! Duck is in danger!!! Who will save her? The prince she once loved or the knight she is falling for?

Rewatching Dimension Jump and wow, its so fascinating to see Ace's arrival for two reasons now.

1) While Ace is more successful and lusted after, he's still not very secure in his sexuality. He keeps playing up how macho he is and making references to not 'being a sissy.' He's still a repressed version of Rimmer and thats so fascinating to me, since you'd think he would have gotten more secure in his sexuality considering.

2) Rimmer immediately starts insinuating Ace is queer in multiple (obviously degrading) ways because he feels threatened by him. But considering Ace is, well, him, it makes the situation all the more telling. And Kryten confronts him on this, but doesn't get to finish pointing this out to him, which I think is such a shame.

As a bonus, its even more funny to me that Ace immediately becomes best friends with Lister. Like, I want a fic where Lister tries to get with Ace to make Rimmer jealous, only to find Ace is just as repressed as Rimmer.

Ace and Rimmer are both so similar. Yeah, Rimmer is extremely bitter and insecure, but Ace is just as insecure. He just swung the other direction to complete selflessness.

He has no concept of care for his own well being. Hell, Lister mentions he's fuckin up for 36 hours with a broken arm (which he still hasn't taken care of), fresh off of Cats surgery, and he's teaching Kryten to play the piano.

This man wants so terribly to be liked and loved he will never put his own happiness first. Everyone else comes first. Yeah, he may be a 'hero,' but at what cost?

Okay I'm gonna make this it's own post cause it's important.

Good Omens, WWDITS, and OFMD are all queer rep. But I really do think the main reason why ofmd feels the most 'real' for some people is it scratches a particular itch a lot of people on Tumblr have been trying to get for years.

Good Omens has two characters who appear to be men. Both characters spend thousands of years pining after each other and falling in love, but it's not 'explicitly states' not is there a kiss. There is rep for nonbinary folks, AroAce folks, but it's not 'gay.' The rep is purely 'queer.'

What We Do in the Shadows has a romance between two men. Both, while confirmed to be gay/bi, have not kissed or hugged or been 'romantic' on screen. They've been intimate and have had arcs to show care, jealously, and whatnot but nothing very romantic. At least, not from a classic standpoint. The creators are pushing a 'will they/won't they' arc. This is normal in many TV shows, but for many queers who are used to queerbaiting, the expectation is to be let down. Even if all the signs point to 'they will' it still hits that traumatic 'queerbaiting' tone for many.

Our Flag Means Death has a romance between not only two men, but a side romance between two men that has a kiss scene. The two main leads are romantic towards each other. But not only that, the creator has made it explicitly clear this is a romance. He has pushed again and again that this will happen, it's just a slow burn. There is explicit 'gay' rep on screen and promised future 'gay' rep.

The reason ofmd resonates is because of what other posts have pointed out. Supernatural, Merlin, Sherlock; over and over two men have been shipped together with such fervor, it feels like a betrayal when it's ignored. Or teased and then ignored. We don't want to be traumatized again.

But also, they all represent one type of rep. Romantic, gay rep of two cishet men finding love. Even though in the case of Destiel, Cas is rarely viewed as anything but a cis man (even though that's very not true). The expectation that those previous failures are being redeemed by this one show can make the queer rep in other shows seem less desirable.

Good Omens, WWDITS, and OFMD are three different types of queer rep, but ofmd has a specific trauma reaction being healed tied to it. And it's okay to recognize that, but also, it needs to be recognized that does not take the queerness away from other shows.

None of these shows are queerbaiting. Acknowledge your trauma and enjoy them all for what they are, not what you want them to be.

Why Medix is Almost Definitely Autistic

- Extremely logically-minded.

- Takes metaphors literally. (From "Life of the Party") Medix: Can you explain why everyone is upset with me? I would think being a stick in the mud is a good thing. To let you know how deep the puddle is, for example. Whirl: It's just a saying humans have. It means somebody who ruins a good time for everyone else. Medix: By using a stick. Whirl: What? No. Medix: So it's the mud that stops the fun? Now I see.

- Has a schedule and prefers to stick to it. (In "Medix Surprise", he dislikes surprises as he prefers to have things planned out and he gets annoyed at the other Recruits when they clean up all the leaves for him, because now he has nothing to do for a while. He also gets upset in "Heatwave's Shiny Coat" when Heatwave doesn't follow the dog-care plan he has)

"Goodmorning!" Tk smiled brightly at his team. The tiredness was heavy in the room, but the cups of coffee glued to their hands seemed to make it all worth it.

"Goodmorning." You replied, waiting for you coffee to brew. "what's got you all excited?"

"I have planned the perfect date night for me and Carlos tonight." His face lit up as his excitement grew. You carefully sipped your hot coffee as he told you all about his plans for that night. Marjan and Nancy had giving up their places at the table to join you and Tk in the kitchen. All while Mateo, Paul and Judd were babbling away about a new video game they recently started playing.

"That's so cute." Nancy remarked after Tk finished his plan. "I've heard they have amazing pasta." She added, referring to the place Tk mentioned he was taking Carlos to. "Haven't you been there with Buck, Y/n?"

The mention of Buck's name took you off guard. Marjan and Tk were aware about the ending of your love life with the firefighter. But you forgot that Nancy and some others, hadn't been informed yet.

You met Buck durning the wildfire that took over Texas. Various teams were send out to help the Texas units but the 118 stuck out to you, or should you say, a certian firefighter stuck out.

From the first moment you saw him you knew you wouldn't hear the end of him very soon. When he left back for LA, your nights were pretty much filled with texts and endless facetime calls. At first you doubted the whole long distance idea but with regular visits and long car rides, your relationship grew in the best way possible. Even hitting the 5 month mark.

You never knew buck's parents and he didn't tell you much about them but you noticed his behaviour getting more distant when he announced the sudden visit they were paying. In your last texts as a couple he told you he was having dinner with them and that same evening, late at night, he rang to say it was over.

"Hey look, I'm sorry for bringing Buck up earlier." Nancy admitted. "I should have know."

"Yeah." You faked a smile. "A few weeks ago, I think." You didn't want to make a big deal out of it, not wanting to take Tk's moment and make it about you, but the memory of your ex boyfriend was still something you found rather difficult to talk about. "We broke up." You announced, thinking to better get it over with then to hide the truth. "Two weeks ago."

"No it's fine, you didn't know Nanc." You gave her a reassuring smile before putting on your gear.

"I'm here if you need to talk or vent okay."

The building before you was bursting into flames as you ran over to your captain to receive your commands. "Judd, Marjan, Y/n. You're on the second floor, there people still in there. Get as many out off there. The building is stable, but for a limited time. Mateo and I have you covered on the ground."

Once you entered the building your only thought were the people upstairs, you carefully followed Marjan and Judd as you shined your light to bright up the room. "I see them!" Judd screamed. The next step went fast as he grabbed the man and woman out of the room, he commanded Marjan to take them outside, which she did without a doubt. "There still 3 people here." Judd yelled. "I'll take the lady and the kid. Y/n, you take the baby."

You gazed over to the grib, checking the ground to make sure it was stable. Judd held the toddler in his arms as the lady clenched on to him for dear life, yelling for her baby before Judd got them out too.

You could feel the air beginning to limit, knowing time was now literally running out. You made your way over to the grib, grabbing the baby and sacrificing your own oxygen mask for his safety. You tried your best to put it on his tiny head without crushing him completely. When the helmet was as good as on, you made your way down the stairs.

Marjan met you half way the stairs, taking over the baby from your arms so she could run outside quicker. The air was limted, smoke clouded your lungs as loud coughs escaped past your lips. Marjan eyes shot up noticing the shock your body was about to go through thanks to the lack of oxygen. You felt the unstable stairs shift under your body. "Go!" You yelled. Marjan was hesitated but the loud cries of the baby signaled it's immediate need of medical care.

"I'll come back for you!" She yelled, sprinting outside. Running after her became impossible with the fire now taking over the stairs. You leaned sideways over the banister. The effect of the heavy smoke and now broken lungs made the thought of jumping over less doubtful. You jumped, crashing into the ground. A heavy pain took over your body as warm red liqued escaped into the ground. You weren't sure where it came from but since your body was already in so much pain, you knew the blood could come from anywhere.

You regretted to fall now knowing the consequences but you knew it was your only way of making it out alive. Judd and Owen came running over to you, praising you on your smart thinking so they wouldn't have to lose more time putting out the stair fire first.

You tried staying calm as they grabbed your body, but the blood loss and the amount of smoke you inhaled was starting to become fatal. Your eyes started to feel more heavy as dizziness clouded your head. "Don't close your eyes Y/n." Owen commanded. "We need you here." The day light hit your face, as you fell new oxygen enter your body.

"Stay awake Y/n. We got you now." Captain Vega assured.

"I can't." You cried out. You were tired and all you needed to do was just close your eyes for a second. "I can't." You repeated but this time more weak. Tk gave your hand a light squeeze as he placed the heartbeat device on your finger. A loud ringing took over in your head, blocking out the panicked discussions of your friends and paramedics.

You carefully opened your eyes, trying to take in your surroundings as a heavy shock of pain chrashed through your body. Your head was pounding and all you could hear were devices beeping and the muffled conversation outside. You recognised your friends their voices and the thought of them being here for you made you smile.

"We're losing here."

"Y/n?" A familiar voice asked. His voice was deep and sleepy. It felt like a dream hearing him here. Your vision was still blurry but you managed to control it after a few rapid blinks. "I'll get someone." His voice came from far. Because of the way the bed was positioned you couldn't see deep into the room except for the sealing and the close bedside chairs.

"It's fine."

You whined at the pain as you struggled to sit up. The voice came running over to you as he helped you sit more comfortable.

It was him.

"Buck?"

"Y/n." His eyes were red as tears fell down his cheeks. Looking at the state of him you could tell he has been here a while. "I thought I lost you."

Your mind may not have been clear or working properly thanks to the painkillers they gave you but you still remembered the painful heartbreak he caused you.

"I have heard nothing from you for two weeks, Buck."

"I know." His voice broke, barely leaving his lips with a defeated whisper. "And I am so sorry. What I did wasn't okay. I know that." He paused, trying to calm his breathing. You had to admit that the sight of him truly broke your heart. "I am a shitty person Y/n. You don't deserve me. I got scared. My p-parents they aren't good people and they-."

"Just maybe an explanation could be nice next time. You left me completely in the dark, how was I supposed to feel? You didn't answer my text or calls. I was worried."

"I know." He apologised, too ashamed to fully look at you. Your heart pounded in your head as the conversation continued, all you wanted was it to end.

"I'm not mad. Just disappointed. I mean what do you expect? I hear nothing from you and now you just show up here. You broke my heart, Evan." You felt the tears in your eyes but you were too stubborn to let them show.

"She's right, Buck." Owen interrupted once he entered the room. "Let them rest first, they aren't in the right mind for this."

Owen was right. You knew it. What Buck didn't wasn't okay and you weren't in the right mind to have this conversation right now. But still you had to stop everything in your body not touch him.

"Come see me when I'm better." You said softly. "Then will talk and figure something out."

The shimmer of hope in his eyes didn't go by unnoticed. "I'll wait for you. I promise."
