Haikyuu Bf Headcanons

Hi everyone!

Soo after a day of debating what i should post in the meantime while the sumeru bf headcanons are under process. I decided to do haikyuu bf headcanons!

Now irl i actually play volleyball as a sports hobby with a few friends, Now i discovered haikyuu a little too late i think just a few months ago?

But yea and haikyuu was what inspired me to play volleyball and love the sport. Now i hate hate hate sports because i hate moving around(Why i stan kenma)

Now its gonna have the same style as the genshin headcanon ones only different thing is that it doesn't have voice lines obviously. But it have a little scenario(Although some of the scenario scenes might be too long so i apologize for that). of course the type will still be there( •̀ ω •́ )✧

important thing is i actually updated my pinned post and added a few things including not adding ennoshita, tanaka and kyoko to the list anymore since idk how to write their characters properly....sorry about that.

Ok....enough with my rambling and lets get started with these headcanons!

• Now i don't know why but i see him as overprotective....i mean he gives off dad vibes right? Then that screams overprotective to me. He would be nagging you about you shouldn't dress clothes that are too reveling or wear a shirt too short and to not walk home alone. Like for real tho i can imagine some of your friends thing that his your brother sometime💀

• Despite that he acts like an ideal husband.  One who carries your bag to school, drops you off at your house, cooks you a meal sometimes and just taking care of you😊

• If your their manager and you guys announce your relationship they of course accept it. However tanaka and noya threaten daichi to not hurt you-

• Your dates are kinda a bit old fashioned somehow....like you guys sitting at a bench and just chilling, having dinner at a restaurant and sometimes dachi likes to take you on a hill at night and dance with you💘

• Whenever a guy hits on you he puts his arm around you and saids that your taken by him and walk you away. 

• Since your probably shorter then him he likes how you always tip-toe just to kiss him, he thinks its cute hehe...

• His the type to buy you flowers and give them to you but its usually on a occasion. He gives you either roses or lily’s(Idk why i just think he would give lilly’s to you)

• Now you guys probably know yui michiyama right? And I'm guessing you guys know that she holds feelings for daichi and its pretty obvious....

• I'm thinking that there was this one time where you both had a misunderstanding and you thought that daichi was losing interest in you and started liking michiyama. So you got jealous and daichi noticed this at first he thought it was cute but when he noticed how sad you were and that you told kyoko you had insecurities he comforted you and he reassure you💕

• In the timeskip this is where his protective side truly shows. you thought he was protective in highschool? Bro his way worse now that his a police officer.....

• He constantly calls you wherever you go and he definitely installed a tracking device on your phone...but don't worry you scolded him for that.

• Back to the highschool days. When you both have sleepovers he prepares to stay over at your place...snice he doesn't want your parents to worry for you and he knows its a bit  inappropriate for a guy and girl to share a room. So he likes to stay over at your place instead and your parents respect him for that.

• If you have siblings they will instantly treat him like a big brother and call him ‘Oni-chan’ now daichi doesn't mind he actually finds it cute. and his used to it since he has younger siblings of his own.

•Daichi is the perfect husband because he has the natural energy of a dad. So you better not leave him cause you got the jackpot.

Scenario time✨

You were jealous of michiyama...and he knew it. Daichi was chasing you and grabbed your hand and slowly hugged you. He then grabbed your chin for you to look at him. He declared

“Hey baby! Please don't get sad...just know..i love you. not michiyama. i hope you can see how much you mean to me. i wish you can see through my eyes.‟

He then smiled and gently kissed you...and you felt so stupid...you could feel he poured all his love in this kiss. So you kissed back passionately.

• Now i was supposed to put gentle boyfriend but i suddenly remembered that one scene where he hit asahi with his negativity BEGONE✨ and i instantly changed it to sweetheart....he is not gentle thats for sure...

• Now being his s/o you get very good treatment from him. such as him cooking you bento’s, giving you affection 24/8 and him doting on you.

• Now he has ✨motherly instincts✨ so if he sees you doing something wrong he will immediately scold you. Don't worry his not mad his just scolding you so you don't get her in the future :)

• Other then that. Same as daichi he also gits you flowers, But instead of every occasion he actually gives you flowers EVERY WEEK and their different kinds too. He gives you flowers that have meaning and that he thinks reminds you of him. How cute💕

• If your one of their managers he always praises and thanks you for handling the team even if sometimes they could be a pain in the ass. And he helps you in cleaning up there messes at the court.

• Since other boy is handsome and is basically the angle of karasuno this man definitely has a fanclub dedicated to him. Now at first he didn't mind but when they started to bully and disturb you he snapped at them and told them to respectfully fuck off. 

• He doesn't really mind people ogling at you as long as they don't make you uncomfortable...and if they do...oh boy...there gonna get an all too sweet smile from suga...

• When it comes to you his very much a sweetheart and can't stand getting mad at you so sometimes when you do something crazy with either tanaka or noya he lets you off the hook and just scolds the other 2 which of course they find unfair lol.

• He helps you with homework and basically becomes your tutor. With him you won't ever have a failing grade since he teaches you with patience and always motivates you.

• When you introduced him to your parents they instantly loved him, They knew he was perfect for you, He helped your mom with the dishes, had a fun conversation with your dad and if you have siblings they also instantly like him Your whole family loves him and welcome him to your family💕

• At the timeskip where suga becomes a teacher for kids. You instantly see how he much he loves kids...and it makes you wonder...what if he became a dad? Well...only one way to find out💖

Its been years since you and suga graduated highschool and you both had started quite a life together. Him a teacher and you a nurse(Or whatever u want✨)

You often saw how suga would treat his young students....and it made your heart swell...you can't help but think how he would act towards your own children...well future ones...so you were planing to ask him...tonight...

You made dinner and dressed up in pretty clothes and then a few minutes later suga had come home.

“Sugar I'm home! Huh? Why are you all dressed up? And what's all this!? You wanted to talk about something with me? Ok..go ahead..e-eh.? You..wanna have a baby!? I....nono sweetheart I'm not opposed to the idea...its just that..do you think...I'm ready to be a father? Y-you think so? • Not gonna lie when you first met him you thought he was scary but you decided not to judge a book by its cover and talk to him. and what do you know? Now you guys are a couple😊

• He at first was very shy and insecure about you guys relationship....but when months past he started to become more comfortable.

• Everything you do to him. Hug him, kiss him, hold his hand just anything. He. in no doubt will blush like a tomato, Honestly its cute so you can't help but tease him sometimes. your so mean(○｀ 3′○)

• When you guys go on dates its either at a cafe or the park! Since sometimes his a bit to socially awkward.....

• He likes how your shorter then him sometimes since it gives him a sense of pride knowing that he can hold you and protect you since he doesn't want you getting hurt, And when you hold his hand with your small hands he just melts💕

• Your often the one imitating things in the relationship since baby is just too shy to do something, and when he does want to do something as simple as hold your hand he hesitates. since he doesn't wanna make you uncomfortable.

• When you took him to meet your parents he was nervous and safe to say when they saw him they were terrified and were basically questioning your life choices and taste in man. But your dad gave him a chance to prove himself, and once asahi started becoming comfortable unexpectedly they were shocked to see that he might look scary and older but his actually a sweetheart who couldn't hurt a fly🥺 Instantly your mother started to love him and your dad approved of him. Your siblings obviously were first scared but later on they started to warm up to him and asahi would let them mess with his hair or climb on him. Overall your family approves him👍

• In the timeskip he is an apparel designer(Which i was shocked to know)I'm pretty sure that when he proposed to you he was the one who decided for the decor and setup of your wedding. Along with you guys clothes🥰

• When you guys started dating expect to do some crazy stuff on your dates. Like climbing the mountains, gaming together, disobeying the law and all other crazy shit.

• Definitely asks you the ‘What's your pussy size?’ when you ask him to buy you pads💀

• If you cook for him he.will.be.blessed.for.life like he can just die there on the spot happily....your probably the only one who can make him eat his veggies

• If your one of their managers expect him to act like your guard dog most of the time like if a player got close to you he might start barking-

“Love...what do you think our baby's gender would be? You hope its a boy? Hahaha...i feel the opposite....i hope its a girl...why? Well because shes gonna get your looks and not only that some studies show that babygirls are more closer to there dads!‟

Hot take that "Wuthering Heights" is an immigrant narrative.

Well in a sense, I do think Heathcliff's story is shaped by the otherness that's thrust upon him from the very first time he is brought to Wuthering Heights. I mean it's very remarked by Nelly his skin is darker and doesn't speak english and therefore he is rejected by his peers and even his supposed to be caretaker.

And later as he assimilates into the house hold, Headly resents him from taking what he views as his, and is treated much harshly than Cathy for the same behaviour. We even get the 'pick your exotic past' from Nelly and the trying to make him a gentleman.

Ultimately though he also falls for the Savage narrative, he is presented as Vengeful ,vile and violent willing to throw his own son under the bus to take away the good white people's legacy (that's where I wish Emily had given Edgar more complexity, like we get flashes he ain't all very good and saintly though again it's Trick y cuz the narrators are biased, but honeslty he always felt to me a representation of good english society and if it was meant as a critic I feel she could've gone harder than make him and his sister rip a puppy apart as children) also becomes obssessed by the white lady that spurned him. So while I do see where Heathcliff's narrative could be tied to the immigrant experience and would love to read a retelling where they talckle this issue i don't think it was intentional at all.

My Hero | Daisuga Angst

“Hey. How have you been? It’s been a while. Sorry about that. I’ve been busy with teaching and stuff. Who knew teaching elementary school would be stressful” Koushi huffed a small laugh. “I got a new wave of students this year. You probably already knew that tho since I get new ones every year. Oh god I’m rambling. Uh I came to tell you the story I told my new kids this year. Every year I tell the kids a story about a courageous hero- this year I chose you. The most courageous of all.” Suga could feel tears forming in the corner of his eyes and the sting in his nose that you get before crying. “I told them the story when you caught someone trying to steal from the café we had our second year anniversary at.” He quietly laughed, reminiscing the moment. “I told them how cool you looked when you took out handcuffs and said ‘MPPD turn around and put your hands behind your head’. You had cake on your nose and coffee on the top of your lips but don’t worry because I left that part out.”

He stayed silent. Sugawara continued talking about old times hoping that Daichi would respond. “Come on. Say something. Please” Sugawara quietly begged. “It’s only been 3 months and I miss you already.” Sugawara isn’t ready to let Dachi go. “Asahi has been sending you flowers every week. The big baby didn’t want you to feel alone so he made you a stuffed lion. He made it the second after he found out about the accident.” Sugawara looked at the clock and realized that he was already late for school. He stared at the clock, then back down at daichi. He didn’t want to leave his husband’s side. He didn’t want to break the promise he made in his wedding vows. “And I promise to never leave your side no matter where you are”

Sugawara ended up taking the day off of work and going to get some rest. After all, he doesn’t remember the last time he got a good night sleep.

In the middle of the night, the obnoxious ringing of his phone woke him up. “Who the hell is calling me at 1 am in the morning.”

It was the hospital.

After he realized who called, he immediately picked up the phone and answered, scared of what is to come.

The next couple of seconds would be the worst seconds of his life. His eyes widened like they never have before, tears instantly flooding in, his phone sliding through his hand and onto the ground. Sugawara zoned out. The bang of the phone hitting the wooden floor and glass from his custom phone case with pictures of him and Daichi shattering across the floor woke him up.

Sugawara shot up out of his bed in a cold sweat struggling to breath. “D-damn it. Not again” His voice shaking with every word.

“Why. Why you. Why did you have to leave me like this.” Tears started flowing down his cheeks. “When you said ‘Till death do us part’ I didn’t think it would be this early.” Loud sobs left his throat.

“You truly were my hero.”

Haven't done this in a while but I had the time so why not?

1.- Pizza Girl by Kyoung Jean Frazier

🌟🌟🌟🌟

I really did like it, reminded me a lot of "Convinience store woman". Like clearly our protagonist needed thrapy ASAP to help her deal with her dad's death, her pregnancy, her attraction to women and hell just for existing as an Asian woman in the USA, but I liked how messy and obsesive she was and how the author allowed her to be fucked up and take bad decisions, I love to see female characters simply exist, it's also a pretty short read so I definitely recommend it.

2.-The Authentics by Abdi Nazemian

🌟🌟🌟🌟

Daría is a persian teen who is really involved in her cultural background and feels that the most important thing one can be is authentic, so that's the name she and her friends take for their clique. But everything comes crashing down on her when she discovers she is adopted, and soon follows an identity crisis. I loved it so much, it felt pretty realistic, like Daría could be self absorbed and unlikeable at times, but who wasn't as a teen? And we get such beautiful heartwarming moments between Daría and her family and friends. Totally recommend it.

3.- The Mall by Megan McCafferty

🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Cassie has her life completely mapped out but nothing goes quite as planned, first she gets mononucleosis and after she gets better gets dumped and fired almost simultaneously. Determined not to let it get the best of her, Cassie gets a brand new job, reconnects with an old friend and even finds a hidden treasure. This one is so much fun, all the 90s references and the growth Cassie goes through is amazing, honeslty i would love to see this as a Netflix movie.

4.- Luster by Raven Leilani

🌟🌟🌟🌟

This book was hard, Edie is a very raw character, at first she seems flippant even when describing disturbing facts about her past or details about her relationship with a much older man she seems to be talking about something that happened to someone else all this to cope dealing with her solitude, her trauma, her self hate. And gosh it was so intresting to see her interact with Rebecca and Akila, especially Akila as Edie finds kinship in this young girl not only cuz they are both black but because they are both lost and afraid.

5.- Lakewood by Megan Giddings

🌟🌟🌟

Lena decides to participate on a financially compensated medical experiment so her mom can get proper medical care and to lessen their debts after her Grandmother's death.

So I had many mixed feelings about this, on one hand I liked that we are adressing how sistematical racism has permited experiments on black people with no consequences at all and how it has been happening for decades, but there were certain parts of the book that I couldn't enjoy as much because they were very trippy like I get we are on Lena's mind as things are becoming muddled up because of the medications and all those mind games and the words they have her memorize and repeat but all of it took me a bit away from the story. Still I do recommend it just be aware there is quite a bit of body horror in this so if you are sqeamish better skip it.

6.-The Voting Booth - Brandy Colbert

🌟🌟🌟🌟

Marva and Duke meet on election day as she helps him find the precint he is registered on.

This is very enjoyable, the story is very straightforward, and it insists on our right and responsability to vote even if we feel our vote alone can't possibly change all the injustice we see in the world. And also the romance was cute and developed slowly as Marva and Duke are just knowing each other. Really cute and quick read.

7.- Such a fun age - Kiley Reid

🌟🌟🌟🌟

Emira works as a babysitter for the Chamberleins' . She loves her little charge Briar, although she feels preassured to seek a 'real job' by her friends and by her own economic troubles. Emira soon finds herself in the middle of a tug of war between her boss Alix who tries to befriend her, and Kelley the guy she is dating.

So much drama. This is a great example of what performative activism looks like, first Alix is completely nuts, from her obsession to be seen as this wonderful understanding girl boss activist and the down right creepy sense of entitlement to Emira's friendship and intimacy. Like it doesn't surprise me she chose to victimize herself instead of recognizing it had all been a misunderstanding. Kelley is the ultimate fake woke ally. Dude Robbie was wrong period, he had no business inviting people over to someone else's house no matter the color of his skin. You don't get to talk over Emira on matters of what a person of color should do or feel on certain situations. That said it was so funny when he and Alix called each other out for their fetishization of people of color and yet none of them actually gave a damn about what Emira thought/felt/percieved. They just wanted her stamp of approval so they could pat themselves in the back for being such good allies.

8.- The Life and (Medieval) times of Kit Sweetly by Jamie Pacton

🌟🌟

Kit is working as a serving wench at the Castle, medieval themed restaurant run by her uncle, though she really wants to be a Knight, not only cuz the better pay would help around the house but because she really admires Joan of Arc, problem is the Castle management doesn't allow for anyone who is not a cis male to be a knight. Kit is set on changing that.

Ok so I feel a bit lukewarm toward this. Kit in my opinion doesn't get much growth, it seems she just can do whatever and her friends have to be ok w it, her romance w her friend feels pulled out of nowhere like Jett at one point tells her he is not intrested in dating her and then he is ???, those GoT references killed me, I get it I watched the show and sometimes even enjoyed it but it's not representative of anything medieval and Kit was always talking about how much she liked the actual history of the medieval times so...

Also as much as this book was about feminism and how we should fight for equal job oportunities, it feels as though Kit only cared about medieval woman who fought physically and not on the badass medieval woman, like idk it feels as a rejection of tradicional feminity like even the girl playing the Princess is a jerk. But I did like some parts, like her decision to confront her asshole dad to help her mom and the girls training together.

9.-Cien años de soledad de Gabriel Garcia Marquez

En Macondo, una población Colombiana a un lado del río, vemos como una de sus familias fundadoras crece, se expande y cambia a través de cien años.

Me encanto, hace mucho tiempo que no leía una novela de realismo mágico que me provocará tantos sentimientos. Creo que todos los personajes reflejan aspectos de la humanidad tan diversos y complejos que sería inútil tratar de enlistarlos todos.

Ultimadamente siento que lo que condenó a la familia Buendia a cumplir las profecías de Melquiades fue sus propia naturaleza que ellos nunca tuvieron intención de pelear, siempre sucumbian a las locuras o pasiones que los inundarán sin mesura alguna o consideración por las consecuencias. Y creo que aún así lo prefiero pues es lo que hace a cada personaje por confuso que a veces llegue a ser la repetición de nombres (que para mi es el simbolismo de una naturaleza y destino continuos) único e intrigante. En verdad espero que se den la oportunidad de leer este libro por lo menos una vez en sus vidas.

This is a gender-swaped modern retelling of the Phantom of the Opera.

It was creative to make Mel, our Phantom, a true magical creature, and the singing contest was also cool. Like don't get me wrong I did have fun reading this but it also felt pretty unpolished like most characters were teens on the contest and that kinda made me roll my eyes a bit, like unless it's the Voice Kids age ranges are quite ample on this kind of shows, also kinda clumsy the addition of the magical elements with the modern setting, Kiyo didn't make much of an impression with me even when Christine is my fave on the original book. Still if you are a Phan like me you might wanna check this one out.

11.- Anna K by Jenny Lee

🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

This is a modern americanized ya retelling of Anna Karenina.

Not gonna lie this made me cry so much at the end. I really liked Anna and Vronski together so much, and I don't like the love at first sight trope, but here it felt so inevitable. Anna was so self contained until she met him and could truly explore being herself and they really loved each other so much. Also I liked the treatment of the side characters Kimmie and Dustin were well developed and I really enjoyed this one can't wait to get to the second book.

12.- Wonderland by Zoje Stage

It was ok, but I was actually a bit disappointed cuz I had such high expectations for it. Like for about half the book I was really into the atmospheric vibe the book pulls you into, but as we get the reveal it started to go down hill for me, and the ending left me feeling meh. But maybe it was just not my cup of tea.

13.-Home Before Dark by Riley Sager

This book is so well crafted!!! I love how it goes back and forth between past and present , first it feels as if history is repeating itself, then as both narratives unfold we start to question and discovering things and the twist at the end was chillin and masterful, I truly and wholeheartedly recommend it.

14.- The Girl with the louding voice by Abi Daré

Adunni, a teenage girl, flees from her husband to work as a maid in Lagos, though everything she has ever wanted is to study.

This broke my heart, as it reflects how people coming from rural backgrounds get taken advantage of in the City, like similar things happen here in Mexico, but also it made me glad to see Adunni fight and keep her spirit so no one could ever silence her.

15.- The Year of the Witching by Alexis Henderson

🌟🌟🌟🌟

Immanuel does her very best to fit in Bethel, follow the scriptures and the Prophets words, but nothing seems to be enough to erase her mother's sin especially when the Darkwood seems to pull her in. As a plague starts to ravage Bethel, Immanuel has to face her past to save her people.

So frickin' good !!!! This story is great, mainly about the explotation of woman and young girls by people in power (in this case a church), the atmosphere is always tense, Ezra and Immanuel 's relationship is very well developed and one can really see how loyal they are to each other. A great option for horror fans.

Are there any fairly obscure books, movies, plays, historical events etc. that haven’t been made into musicals yet that you would love to see made into musicals?

Well idk if they are obscure but I have TONS of things I would like to see as musicals. Honestly this question is so exciting.

First off I was gonna include "Como agua para chocolate" de Laura Esquivel but I found out throughPlaybill that is gonna happen so I am super excited to see how that turns out.

So yeah here is my list:

BOOKS:

"Mas rápido que el deseo" by Laura Esquivel. (This is a beautiful love story told from a dying father to her only daughter, and the way sound is used in the book always made me think how beautiful it would be to see it as a musical)

"Aura" by Carlos Fuentes (this one made me think how few "thriller" musicals we have and Aura would be incredibly easy to produce cuz there are very few characters and you wouldn't need a big production. It tells the story of a young man who comes to leave with a Window and her niece with whom he falls in love only to discover a reeaaaally creepy secret)

"Amor en tiempos de cólera" by Gabriel Garcia Marqués (This one is an epic and long love story, I think it has the potential to be as legendary as Le Mis or Phantom)

"Leonora" by Elena Poniatowska (this is the novelization of Leonora Carrington's life, she has a lot of contact with diverse artist of her time such as Miró, and deals w her struggles w mental illness)

"Duerme" by Carmen Boullosa (this one is about a young woman during Colonial era in México, she dresses as a man is quite unconventional . It's historical background is also super intresting )

"Northanger Abbey" by Jane Austen (according to Google there has been a musical adaptation but I would like it if this was given more of a SIX or &Juliet approach, I mean c'mon Catherine is pretty young and has these wild fantasies cuz she is such a bookworm they would be so funny to see on stage)

The Bear and the Nightingale by Katherine Arden (this would be kinda hard to adapt but I just think it would be visually gorgeous)

"Middlemarch" by George Elliot (I think it has so much potential to be an amazing musical i just imagine the selfrighteous Dorothea singing about how she wants a pious and intelligent men who guides her and opposes her ideas at the beginning of the musical and then a reprise trying to pretend she has got her way in marrying Casaubon. Kind of like a "Thank Goodness" moment.)

"Foul is fair" by Hannah Capin (this one is quite a recent book, it's a retelling of Macbeth and it blew me away. It would be more of an edgy musical like Heathers, but the message is more about rape culture )

"Like a Love Story" by Abdi Nazemian (this one tells the story of 3 teens meeting on 1989 and bending through Madonna while fighting for LGTBQ+ rights. Ofc this would have to be a jukbox musical and honestly I can't think of a better way to make a musical w Madonna songs)

"The Queen of the Night" by Alexander Chee (maybe a bit too on the nose, cuz it already has a musical element, but honestly the story is just amazing and pretty dynamic)

"Space Opera" by Catherynne M. Valente (again quite a recent book but it draws so heavily from the Eurovision song contest, and it's fun and campy. Also why aren't there more Sci-fi musicals???)

MOVIES

"Ladyhawke" (I used to love this movie when i was younger and would love to see it as a musical)

"10 things I hate about you" (why isn't this a musical already??? The movie is iconic, it's a fun Shakespeare retelling, would have such fun songs)

"The lost boys" (ok so I know vampire musicals haven't fared well, but I think that's cuz the approach is waaay to serious, honestly this would make for a campy fun musical with some amazing costumes)

"Rocketman" (C'mon this writes itself. Like it would work perfectly for a stage adaptation)

"The corpse bride" (it already has a couple of songs and honestly it would be so cool visually)

"Twilight " (HEAR ME OUT!!! This one should only be made by Starkid cuz it shouldn't be taken seriously it should be a fun parody of the YA literature at the time with lots of selfawareness, and sarcástic humor. I put this one on the movie category cuz let's be honest the movies had some killer soundtrack)

"My Best friend's wedding" (I mean the Pretty woman musical was ok i guess but this one already has an iconic music scene, and I think the story work better for a musical)

"Dirty Dancing" (again c'mon why isn't this a musical but Ratatouille got so much hype on tiktok???? Like this would have gorgeous dance numbers, humor, heartbreaking scenes)

"Dangerous Liaisons" (I know there is a musical based on the modern adaptation "Cruel Intentions" but this movie was amazing! Like i think this version would work better for the stage)

PLAYS

"A Streetcar named desire" by Tennessee Williams (so there is an opera and that hillarious Simpson's episode but I really would love to see this one as a musical )

"El burlador de Sevilla" by Tirso de Molina (I am a fan of Don Juan Tenorio, but I think El burlador would work better for a musical, the ending works better and it's female characters are waaaaay more intresting and fleshed out)

"La casa de Bernarda Alba" (I think this would be amazing, I picture Bernarda as an alto the story is super character driven and there is a lot of internal monologues that could translate perfectly into songs)

"Turandot" (so this is an opera but I think this one would be an amazing option for a musical, the main themes of the show are love an revenge , ofc it would have to be re worked as much of the names and settings reek of Orientalism , like idk what Puccini was doing giving characters names like Ping, Pang, Pong but yeah it has the potential)

"Machinal" by Sophie Treadwell (this is one of my favorite plays, it's set on the 20's and I think it would make a great musical with a tragic ending we all see coming)

"Uncommon women and others" by Wendy Wesserstein (this is about a bunch of woman who reconect at a lunch and they start talking about their time as college students during the second-wave feminism and how they discovered themselves through it )

"Awake and Sing!" By Clifford Odetts (first off the title rocks so fitting for a musical, then we have the story of Jewish immigrants on the Bronx pursuing the American Dream)

HISTORICAL EVENTS

- I would love to see a musical about the Golden Age of Mexican Cinema, like most productions back then were musicals and it would reintroduce to the world iconic mexican actors such as Pedro Infante, Silvia Pinal, Jorge Negrete, Dolores del Río, etc etc.

-A musical about the artists of the Italian renaissance. I would do this in the style/tone of Something Rotten!

-A musical about Leona Vicario .

-A musical about real pirates like Madame Cheng

-I know it's a Biblical story so maybe not true but I think it'd be cool to see a musical about King Ahasuerus, Vashti and Esther .

I finished my tbr but I didn't liked a lot of the books, I am so disappointed, I read 2 extra graphic novels to at least get something I did like so yeah.

1-Cinco Horas Con Mario - Miguel Delibes

🌟🌟

Se que es un clásico de la literatura española pero es que la mujer es insufrible de verdad que es una basura de personaje totalmente despreciable y prejuiciosa el concepto del libro me atrajo muchísimo pero de verdad que yo no puedo con el monólogo interno de esta mujer.

2.- The Young Elites - Marie Lu

I think I know what they were going for with Adelina, Marie Lu was going for an anti hero or a fallen hero but Adelina lacked so much depth for that to be the case, sadly the worldbuilding wasn't great either, again the premise seemed intriguing to me but I didn't like the characters or the plot and seeing as this is very character driven I couldn't enjoy it nor am I inclined to read the next books.

3.- A Confederacy of Dunces - John Kennedy Toole

I was so disappointed, I became intrested in this after reading about the author and how this book came to be published. But I am sorry to say I just couldn't connect with any of the characters or the humor so yeah it wasn't an enjoyable read for me at all.

4.-Athena's Champion - David Hair/Cath Mayo

🌟🌟🌟

It was ok, I felt pretty luckwarm toward this, which is surprising as I loved the Moontide Quartet by David Hair, and this "prequel" to the Illiad certainly sounded like something I would enjoy but it felt so juvenile and again the characters annoyed me a lot, idk maybe I wasn't in the right mood for it.

5.-Four Dead queens - Astrid Scholtte

🌟🌟

The worldbuilding made no sense to me. It was predictable and the villian was a caricature, the romance was bland and the relationship I did care about came to nothing because the title itself spoils the queens die, like I just don't get how a system that doesn't work for anyone literally even the rulers disliked the Queenly Law is still going on.

6.-Kingsbane (Empirium #2)- Claire Legrand

Whyyyyyy??? I really liked the first book, and unpopular opinion but I liked both queens, but this book was so wierd, Rielle felt like a whole new character like I was curious as to how she came to be the Blood Queen and it was such a disappointment I hoped for more, and Elena didn't fare much better, I just - I will not continue the series I just didn't like this book at all and i don't see how it will recover from the point it left us.

7.-The Kingdom of Cooper (Daevad Trilogy #2) - S.A Chakraborty

🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Finally some good food!!!! So by this point I pretty much thought I was brain dead and didn't like reading anymore but this book returned my faith. Why hadn't I read this??? Nahri goes through so much in this book and I really love how much Ali and she complement each other, how idelistic and caring they both are, like I really want them together not only romantically (I mean I know they in laws but let's be honest Muntadhir would rather be married to Nahri's brother, soooo we can work it out) Dara fucked up but I did feel for him, like I don't support what he is doing but the politics of it were complicated, and well Daevad is a mess rn so yeah I am dying to see what happens next.

8.-Candide - Voltaire

It was pretty funny and there is a lot of satire going on, I always appreciate that.

9.- La Senda del mexica - Joaquin Guerrero Casasola

🌟🌟🌟

Me encanto el concepto, una novela negra ubicada en Tenochtitlan es algo que de verdad me intrigaba, sobre todo porque utilizan el concepto de detective viejo que ya duda de sus habilidades, Opochtli no es un personaje que me agradara en particular pero lo disfrute como protagonista y la historia aunque bastante sencilla fue muy original y descriptiva, realmente me pude imaginar todos los sabores y colores que describía Opochtli y eso lo aprecio mucho.

10.- King Lear - William Shakespeare

This is a re-read for me, this play is one of my favorites and I enjoy a lot to read it every now and then.

11.- Bury what we cannot take - Kristen Chen

🌟🌟🌟

This book is about a family that seeks to flee China during the Mao regimen to go to Hong Kong where the father lives with his mistress, the mother is unable to get permission for all of them leaves San San her young daughter then faces horrors as she tries to catch up with her family as her brother who was very loyal to the party tries to go back. I thought it was a great read really moving, but the end felt too open for me I wanted more I wanted to go deeper and Stronger w some themes so it left me dissatisfied.

12.- The Priory of the orange tree - Samantha Shannon

🌟🌟🌟🌟

I loved it!!!! The mythology surrounding the dragons and wyrms was great, the different realms w their different systems. The religion, in Virtudom especially where the ruler is believed to be a descendant from the Saint (and that plot twist), the characters and how well developed they were. Sabran and Ead! !!!! Like I was hoping they would be the saphicc romance everyone raved about cuz I loved their interactions, like I lost hope for a second there but then I was so happy when it came to happen, as a matter of fact the only reason why I didn't give this 5 stars is cuz I would have loved to have a prologue 10 years in the future to see them fulfill their promise.

13.- Verify - Joelle Charbonneau

🌟🌟

It might be good to introduce dystopic to a young audience, like this takes from many classic dystopias that gives a nice fundation if you never read one before, but as someone who enjoys dystopias a lot for me this was pretty boring and unoriginal, I know it was supposed to be a retelling of Fahrenheith 451 but I didn't see ir that way, like we could argue Paper is deemed as illegal and stuff but tbh it wasn't great, the main character was very unappealing to me, so not reading the next one.

14.-Prosper's demon - K.J Parker

🌟🌟🌟🌟

I really loved this one!!! Very short but succeeds in establishing the world and the characters, it was so good, full of morally grey characters, the ending left me shook like it really made me believe one thing and then boom!!!

15.-The Book of Lost Saints - José Daniel Older

🌟🌟🌟🌟

So this book is about a spirit taking possesion of her nephew's dreams so he will investigate what happened to her, how she died as she doesn't even remember her name, her memories are super vague. We unravel the story of a Cuban family in the middle of the revolution and institution of the communist régimen, how many people were prosecuted for fighting against Castro, among them Isabel and her sister Marisol. We get another amazing plot twist (for real it made me cry) intergenerational trauma and the search of identity as an immigrant pretty great stuff.

16.- Snow Glass Apples - Neil Gaiman

🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

I loved it!!!! Dark retellings are some of my favorite things, and I have always liked Vampire!Snow White, this is just so creepy and good.

17. - Laura Dean Keeps breaking up with me - Mariko Tamaki

🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Lots of queer representation and drama!!!! For real I just wanted to hug Freddie and tell her Laura wasn't shit. So we get the Importance of friendship and a good support system how a relationship can be toxic even if there is love (codependence isn't fun kids) and lots of relevant topics.

Gosh i really wish next month goes better, I will do another unhaul.

1-El burlador de Sevilla - Tirso de Molina

🌟🌟🌟🌟

Esta es la primera aparición de Don Juan Tenorio, me pareció una obra genial con muchos personajes femeninos bastante desarrollados para su época. El personaje de Don Juan en sí me pareció un hombre totalmente viviendo en el momento, tan joven, astuto y seductor como es nunca creyó que algún día le llegarían las consecuencias de sus actos y al final la justicia cae sobre el de forma abrupta y contundente.

2 - Fuenteovejuna - Lope de Vega

Disfrute muchísimo más de lo que esperaba esta obra. En la preparatoria vi muy por encima a los autores de la Época de Oro Española y a decir verdad la maestra que tuve no hizo mucho esfuerzo por interesarnos en la lectura y me parece lamentable porque si esta obra se modernizara en ciertos aspectos reflejaría unos valores feministas y en contra de la cultura de la violáceos tremendos. El momento en el que todas las chicas que han sido abusadas por el duque reclaman a sus padres y hermanos por no haberlas protegido y reclaman su propia venganza tomando armas es realmente catártico si eres una mujer que ha sufrido acoso.

3-Charlotte's Web - E.B White

I remember watching the movie when I was very young, I just adored Charlotte's voice. And the book is equally charming and heartwarming portraying a truly beautiful friendship that trascends even death. This book made me cry a lot at the end so yeah 5 stars for sure.

4- Dune - Frank Herbert

I can't believe I hadn't read this before. I watched the movie a thousand times when I was a kid (and ofc I am dying to see the new adaptation) but the book ohhhh it's such an amazing and intelligent book, with a complicated world and politics but also full of mythology and filosophy.

5- Oathbringer (Stormlight Archives #3) - Brandon Sanderson

Ahhhhhhhhhh. Honestly I just can't believe I went through this books so fast (they are super chunky) but at some point I just couldn't stop reading. I love the characters with all my heart (Shallan and Kaladin are my children tho) and I can't wait to see what happens next.

6-Children of Vengance and Virtue (Legacy of Örisha) -Tomi Adeyemi

This book made me sad and angry, but that was good, like I didn't even know what to expect after that ending on book 1. And it hit me hard ok??? Tomi Adeyemi raises the stakes with the titans and the centers entering an already divided nation, the political climate is a mess and so is Zelie, my girl is suffering so much and oh god Amari my girl also tries so hard not to be like her family but the frustration of not being listened gets to be too much and I just can't- I need the next book pls.

7- Wolves of Calla (Dark Tower V) - Stephen King

Ok King is back on my good graces. This book tho, it was excellent, it has big ass stakes, new characters, more references to other SK novels and I am impressed by this world .

8- #Murderfunding (#Murdertrending 2) - Gretchen McNeil

I just really like this books, they are so cheesy and easy to read and I love it. Horror books are like comfort food to me. So I really liked the new characters and how they tied the old ones with them. Stuff gets proggresively darker with this world's government, and I hope the president gets impeached like you can't condone the stuff he is been allowing to happen and even wants to take his prison system to other countries. The enemies to lovers romance in this one got me hard.

9-1984 - George Orwell

This is my first re-read of this book, and it was long due. I love how George Orwell was all like "The thing that keeps us human is our ability to care about and protect those around us" because it's true. Also the fact that the part is based off socialists AND fascist is pretty telling that totalitarism is not the way to go. Many people would benefit from reading this book tbh.

Me encanto este libro, casi tanto como Un árbol crece en Brooklyn, y es que de verdad que Betty Smith escribe cosas profundas y crudas de la realidad del Sueño Americano y de cómo mucha gente no tiene ni la más mínima oportunidad y tienen que conformarse a existencias vacías que los dejan inconformes, más también nos muestra esperanza de salir de ello y romper con el molde como hace Maggie al final.

12- Fire and blood - George R. R Martin

🌟🌟🌟

I really love GRRM's writing and the ASOIAF series is one of my favorite fantasy series but I can't stand the Targaryen, bunch of self important wierdoes wreaking havoc in a whole continent. I did enjoy the fact that much like everything else surrounding their myth excepcionalism was coined by the Targaryen and proved false when one of the princess died during he Shivers plague and there are some intresting tid-bits that could signal some future events in the ASOIAF series.

13-Black Leopard, Red Wolf - Marlon James

🌟🌟

I tried, this book is too much and I wasn't in the right head space for it. Some of the stories were really good and the mythology intrigued me but I wasn't enjoying the book at all not even when I finished.

14- She loves you yeah, yeah, yeah - Ann Hood

🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

This book is so cute!!!! It's a really nice story about a group of young kids with different troubles at home wanting to meet their favorite band and coming to terms with being outsiders and that was such a nice read for me this month and all the chapters have names of Beatles songs and it was amazing listening to them as I read the book.

15- The Care and feeding of Ravenously Hungry Girls - Anissa Gray

I enjoyed this book very much even when it when dark. The relationship between this family (especially the woman) in this book felt very real and super heart breaking. It dealt with abuse and how it can become a cycle, bad mother/daughter relationships, eating disorders, bad coping mechanisms but also it shows how no matter how grim and dark the situation you are in there is always a way to break out and move forward.

It was a pretty great reading month and I hope the next one is just as awesome.

I went to the Anthropology Museum today and it reminded me how much I love going to museums

And y don't go more often?? And then it hit me: I have to work for a living and I don't have as much time and that sucks. Btw if u ever visit México City pls check it out cuz it's awesome like look at this stuff.

So beautiful and informative. Like really I wish I could convey into words how I feel at seeing my ancestors art and daily life utensils (also I kinda felt sad at seeing so many of them broken cuz fuck them colonizers).

GoT Season 8, Episode 2: Knight of the Seven Kingdoms Thoughts

Like i am not even sure this episode's name is that or "The rightful queen" but I am going with the title I liked more.

I was fully intending of making a big ass Recap like I usually do but today I had a lot of work and I feel like everyone has already talked about the episode since it was leaked so I am just gonna talk about some scenes that I think will be relevant and my take on some shipping stuff.

Again I warn that I don't root for D Targy at all (but I do think she is an amazing character) and she annoys the heck out of me most often than not so... if she is your fave pls don't read this cuz it's not for you.

On Jaime Lannister

I feel this was a great episode for him as a character, while I do wish he would have said something about the wildfire on King's Landing or the Loot Attack I ultimately think that what he did say was the best thing in his PoV because he thinks D is the North's queen now that Jon bent the knee so ofc he wasn't gonna antagonize her that much when he was at clear disadvantage.

His chat with Tyrion was also very good, tho I feel in the books this will be more on a bitter note given Jamie's confession about Tysha, but yeah they are close once again and I appreciate that.

Every scene he had with Brienne had me swooning.Brienne defending him in the Great Hall. All those stares. The clear tension between them and the fact that Brienne doesn't know what to do when they are on the same side and he is not insulting her, so they still fight and pant around each other and I love it (honestly this kind of fighting is a lot like the Jonsa one because they have to get rid of that UST but they can't fuck or even kiss yet so they bicker and pant around each other). I noticed how he stared at Tormund and immediately knew he was intrested in Brienne. And ofc him knighting Brienne was the best of the episode for me (hence my preference of the title aluding to this scene).

On Sansa Stark

Curious that we don't get Sansa or Jon's PoV this episode, just them through other people's eyes.

The Great Hall scene: while I would have loved Sansa defending Jaime like in some fics, I think it does make sense that she feels resentment towards him and his family, but she still was willing to trust him once Brienne spoke on his behalf which says a lot for their relationship and how much Sansa has come to trust and value Brienne and her opinions. She was completely a queen in that scene, she even left the place frist not giving a fuck whatsoever about D.

Tête-à-tête with the gecko queen: Sophie Turner is an amazing actress. Ok so I loved she was telling Lord Royce she wanted to leave the Gates open as long as possible, such a compassionate queen, but also the moment D steps in I lived for Lord Royce clearly showing more respect and deference towards Sansa than towards D (I mean that the whole North respects Sansa as their leader is the very reason why Jorah asked D to talk to her). We see Sansa be closed off towards D in the beginnig even when D is trying hard to be sympathetic to sansa and bond over them being good leaders to their people (bihhh Sansa laughed and so did I cuz just how deluded is D to think she is on Sansa's level of good leadeeship), and D asks the question we have since ep 1 "does that (Jon's love for D) bother you?" And I am absolutely sure that the answer to that is yes, but Sansa was never going to show herself that much to someone she doesn't trust nor even likes (this girl out played LF ffs!!!) so she went for a non-commital answer (is not a yes or a no, she is justifying her distrust for D and appears not to be jealous but a concerned sister) D is appeased by this answer and tries to show Sansa that her and Jon's relationship is real (lmaoo) by stating just how much she sacrified her goals just for his love (like nice that she doesn't pretend to care for the people she wants to be queen of anymore, the Jonsa fandom said this since last season) and straight up says she is the one being manipulated by Jon, and Sansa's face is a poem, cuz you can see exactly the moment when she figures out that Jon is manipulating D!! We even get a smile of relief and promptly she catches herself and changes her behaviour implying she should apologize (but she never actually does) and even lauguing at how short Jon is (Sansa bites her lip tho 👀👀 and D's smile is so fake idk who she thinks she is fooling) but Sansa again brings up the North and D is visibly upset at that.

Scenes with Theon: I am just going to straight up say I do ship Theonsa and I have read fics of them, but I do not think it will be canon or that it makes narrative or political sense cuz it doesn't. Their reunion was heartwarming and beautiful (tho D jealous stare bothered me, like fuck off I wanna see my babies) Sansa was clearly happy at seeing Theon more like himself and having him want to fight for their family. Their scene with the soup was cute but I did not see it as shippy at all, there is definitely affection and care but I don't think it was shot as romance or a couple's montague, it was simply showing us all the different ways the characters we know spend this night. As much as it hurts me because I love Theon, I think it is possible he will die protecting Bran (I really don't want this, but it's a big possibility, cuz I know some big characters must die in order to destroy us as much as possible, and this scenes with Sansa might just serve that purpose) so I'll just drown in theonsa fics if that happens. Also, it kinda make me go 👀👀 the fact that they made the theonsa scenes so alike the jonsa s6 ones but without all that flirty stuff on the soup scene and that it was enough for the GA and some Aegonys to ship it while we know Theon like Jon also grew up with Sansa in WF. Idk it was kinda amusing to me.

On Jon Snow

Ok so this made a lot of sense to me, Jon avoiding D post parentage reveal is what seals pol!Jon to me, if he really loved her he would have gone statight to her in the night and confess this thing he found out while crying and looking for her support and being all hopless longingly staring at her but nope he doesn't even want to look at her (he is probably thinking how he fucked his aunt and shudders). I was also like 👀👀 when he pushed past D to follow Sansa, did they talk?? Did they fight again??? I am thirsty, but it was also a good thing Jon didn't interact with Sansa cuz it would give the game away too soon, as a matter of fact Jon doesn't seek her out like last episode as far as the audience knows and I think that is because he doesn't know what to do he is having an existencial crisis in the middle of the Apocalipsis, and Sam is like have you told her yet??? He knows shit could hit the fan at any minute. I loved his reunion with Tormund and Edd because I love Jon's smile and he has been just miserable since last ep, so yeah I need my boy to be happy.

Now onto the reveal, I think Jon genuinely thought he might as well just say it, D clearly seeked him out for some loving sexy times and Jon was not on board with that, he just couldn't keep it up with her cuz he doesn't love her, never has and now she is his aunt, he just can't do that knowing they are super related, also now D can't leave them (I mean she kind of can fuck off in Drogon and maybe Rhaegal will follow, but her armies can't leave, and they have the obsidian so...) . The fact he called her D@ny is so layered, for starters she told him straight up not to call her that cuz it reminds her of Viserys, so it connects them as family and upsets D at the same time. D straight up thinks that Bran and Sam would make shit up to usurp her (bihhh no one but u and Cersei gives a fuck about the ugly ass chair) and then when she sees Jon is saying the truth she is furious (so much for the aegony marriage fix up that her stans dreamed off, also can we fucking kiss boatie goodbye?? Cuz that sure as hell ain't happening) and Jon is baffled, he knows she wants the IT more than anything and shit but really??? They are about to die, and he has left more than clear to any one that would listen that he doesn't care about titles. Not only that but Jon and her are family now,and family is important to Jon, and she reacts like this???

On Gendrya

I was a bit wierded out cuz we have seen Maise since she was a kid (lmaoo i am like a year older than her) but more power to her for the scene, also I really love Gendrya and their interactions have been so flirty and charged with chemistry. I am worried about Gendry's survival, but I think he might live.

On everything else:

I loved Gilly and Dadvos's scene, it was so good and I wish they would give Gilly more lines.

Missandei and Greyworm making plans for after the war makes me worried one of them will die, also now that D will feel betrayed by Jon, I fear she will think GW and Missandei wanting to leave is also treason. I AM WORRIED. Also to ppl doesn't trust Missandei cuz she is with d and nobody in the north trusts Targs not even children.

Tyrion talking about destroying Cersei made him seem more Book!Tyrion than ever and I just shudderd. D literally never wants to take responsability for any desicion when she refused to fight for the north if Cersei didn't joined them. Also she would really have named Jorah hand??? She is dumb as a brick. His scene with Jaime, Brienne and co. Was cute.

Podrick was looking fine and his voice was really good. Also that Jenny of Oldstone song with all it's jonsa vibes 👀👀.

So i finally watched It chapter 2...

DISCLAIMER: So I know most of y'all don't like anyone to critizise anything u like, right of the bat I am telling u I did NOT liked this movie at all, there are changes I thought were good ideas but most of it was just plain terrible in MY opinion and I need to vent. If u share my opinión or find my rage amusing read on.

I had been putting off watching this movie, cuz in 2017 I enjoyed the 1st IT movie but I had a TON of issues with it (Mike's complete erasure, Stan being a completely different character, The Losers Club moments being sacrificed to cool sounding one-liners, WTF happened to Henry Bowers and Alvin Marsh, Bev being overly sexualized, etc, etc) so I was on the fence about this one. The cast is what finally caught my attention but then I heard very mixed reviews about it, and as I am starting on a new job I hadn't had the time to go and watch it til now and oh boy was I disappointed.

First off, we have to ask ourselves was Adrian Melon's murder scene really that necessary??? I understand what they used it for in the movie (to make a R3ddi3 reference /as a side note I do not care for the ship or any other IT ship tbh i write it like this cuz i don't want this post to invade the ship tag) but the characters involved are never mentioned again and it was too gratuitous (like we can have a homophobic hate crime, slurs thrown around all the time but we can't have the gay ship this movie was going for saying they love each other in a straightforward manner??? I know this is an unpopular opinion but I am not giving Muschietti props for doing the gay closeted ship for the 1000th time, if u were gonna do it go for it!!! Do right by the characters, hell in the book they get more tenderness and they are never explicitly gay, Eddie is heavily coded as gay or asexual and Richie is super bisexual) like my queer ass is tired of seeing gay ppl die in violent gruesome ways all the time.

While I love Bill Skarsgard's performance, the excess of CGI and all those jumpscares and strobe lights, actually take away from his performance, he is super scary and eerie when he is talking and even being friendly but super hillarious and plain silly when he is actually trying to be scary or when he is eating, it looked too wierd.

TBH whyyy was Tom Rogan in this?? Muschietti had already changed Alvin Marsh from being physically violent to being a sexual predator (everything they changed from Bev took away from her character, like we can have her smoking and flirting w Mr Keene but we can't have her teaching Richie how to use his yo-yo or winning in a fucking video game or drawing or anything that remotely has to do with her character) why was Tom necessary?? Hell we could have skipped that and have Bev in Kay's house telling her all that happened instead, I mean if he wasn't gonna die in the sewer why is he even a character? It was so easy to erase him and have Kay instead. Also how tf did Alvin survive???

Whyyy do that to Audra??? I fucken hate Muschietti, was it necessary to justify Bill cheating on her??? Nope, we could have simply have Bill not kiss Beverly and that’s it, also I am kinda salty Audra is not part of the plot.

Lmao Henry, like he fell on the fucken pipe and you could hear his fucken bones breaking and craking and he gets to get up and walk home????????? Whyyy y y , Muschietti ????

We never really got to see how deeply ingrained Pennywise is in the town, he is actually Derry. And if Muschietti thinks he fixed the wtf ending everyone complained about in the 90's adaptation he is on fucken drugs, this ending is super messed up and has nothing to do with the book or with anything at all, we never get to know what exactly is Pennywise, his true form it's a clown spider apparently or something cuz the death lights were there but not really ???

STAN was fucken robbed (again) last time he was completely ereased, he was physically there on the scenes but that’s it, his personality was null. And his thing, the thing that made him comit suicide was the fact that he was the one to see the death lights, the most logical and disbelieving of them faced something far beyond anyone's comprehension and they gave that to Bev?? And the death lights apparently gave her Final Destination abilities? ?????

Eddie was robbed. Of so so much. Muschietti fuck you. Frist off why isn't Eddie the CEO of some app like Uber like he was the Losers Club compass he was a great fucking driver, he loved sports (I actually got excited when they had this scene with the baseball game cuz i thought it was gonna be an Eddie scene but nope) y not connect that with this Token bs Muschietti pulled off his ass (this is actually a great idea, and could symbolize the Losers' lost childhood IF Muschietti had been assed to give them significance or something in part 1) His death scene. Just why? Why are his last words a cheap joke instead of a love confession, fuck it Muschietti if u wanted R3ddi3 have the courage to really do it (in the books the Losers take turns to carry his body out of the sewer cuz they will not leave him there, that's more meaningful than them diving) One of his most beautiful quotes is something Bill is writing??? Lmaoooo Bill wishes he could have thought up that (I love Bill but come the fuck on)

Why make such a huge deal out of B3nv3rly or r3ddi3 when the point of it all was that the Losers Club all loved each other, apart from whatever romantic feelings, they found a family in one another and they really erased that in this movie, I was like y are this ppl friends with each other. Mike drugged Bill, Richie was awfull to everyone, they barely had a conversation in the restaurant (biihhh the 90s miniseries does this better) and show no respect for Mike at all ( I mean I am not surprised cuz Muschietti has no respect for Mike as a character at all) or bill like nah son.

Stephen King cameo was there I guess, it was fine.

The Kiss me fat boy, of all things u could have taken from the 90's miniseries why that?????

Ben building the house club by himself ???? Bullshit, Muschietti ereased another great Losers Club bonding time and hate him for it.

MIKE, I AM ENRAGED. So Muschietti is braver than King for making R3ddi3 "canon" but he destroyed Mike's entire character and that is fine with y'all mmmmm. His parents were "crackheads" apparently cuz it's not like that is a stereotype black ppl have carried on for years on end, he did not go to school, he was not the historian but now he is cuz he had to stay and he is crazy and obsesive and drugs Bill and also stole from a native american tribe???? FUCK this so fucken much I hate it with all my being .

How does such a choppy movie manage to drag on forever??? Like there were still 45 Min left and I was bored out of my mind. Why is the final arc so bad??? Like some much stuff that could have actually gotten away with erasing (Paul Bunyan, whyyy it was so silly, it doesn't even work in the book, but fine like King was super high he barely remembers writing it, why take it to the big screen u should have sticked to him being afraid of clowns like u had already messed up) and added and could have added things that actually enriched the adaptation.

I just give up. Like if they do a 3rd one like it's rumored I won't see it, Muschietti clearly does not know how to be subtle or to have meaningful character arcs, he is just good for cheap jumpscares, one líners and yo mama jokes so I pass. I really hoped the up coming King adaptations are better than this one. That being said the movie had real fun/enjoyable moments, if this were not an adaptation I would have liked it a hella lot more than I did but alas nope.
