Can you hear it?
We are descending...
Into the IRIS.
--------
Happy Resurrection Day!
I started this at the beginning of the week to celebrate the album release. I finished it Wednesday night.
Surreal to think that we finally have this album in our hands after 4 years since its original conception. It's real! I can listen to it right now! It is no longer a project that we know exists or that existed and was shelved, and that we had no idea whether it would still happen or not.
And I'm glad it happened. It was worth waiting 4 years for this. I loved it! The original HOAA still has a special place close to my…heart (heh). So to have this remake that manages to live up to the first album and elevates it to a higher quality, well, it's a good feeling. I really liked how the rest of the songs turned out. (Also,Castle That Burns. Damn. What a surprise)
The idea for the drawing was just a little different when I originally thought of it compared to what it became in the end. Then I ended up realizing halfway through that I kind of did a redraw of the album cover. Oops. (Also, yes, this is a traditional drawing, painted digitally. The text, the rock and the IRIS were also placed digitally)
(Also also, yes, I know how to draw Goliath smiling or generally happy. I swear I know how to do this, and I don't just draw him with a frown lol)
Version with alternative text (I prefer the version above tbh, but I didn't want to discard the other one) :
Heart of an Artist Resurrection released back in December and since then I've been working on a gigantic set of enemy designs based off of each song on the album, all for my IRIS concept game idea. These are the first five songs turned enemies: S.O.S, Draw The Line, As The Lights Go Out, Kings & Queens and Why Do We Hold
I will release the singulars for the next week with more information on them as usual, after these guys will probably come RSM Set 2 as I have no motivation to work on a fifth one to include in the set so yea
Enjoy my madness
