If you want someone to calmly listen to you while you question their entire reality, maybe don't trap them, confine them, and threaten them with literal death if they don't do what you say???
I get it. He's got God-level power, and he's destined to destroy the world. But how in the hell did anyone expect David, a traumatized and mentally ill, over-powered psychic, to react any different to that very aggressive intervention?? He was always going to see it as a betrayal, and he was always going to run.
But if Syd has just calmly talked to him alone? If she had told him that she was concerned about his mental health, and started with just a suggestion of therapy?? I really do think that would have gone so much better. Not to say he would have been guaranteed to accept what she was saying or agree to treatment, but he would've been a helluva lot more receptive to the idea if he hadn't been back into a corner and verbally attacked--and, I really cannot stress this enough, threatened with literal death if he didn't comply.

2. Who's your favorite supporting character and why?
I don't.... think I actually tend to classify characters as "supporting characters" to me they're all just.... characters, but uh... Shado.
3. Who's your favorite comics hero/sidekick duo?
GREEN ARROW AND SPEEDY
4. answered already!

14. What's your favorite thing about character Green Arrow?

20. If you were given a comic run for character Green Arrow, what would you write about?
Definitely a book with both Connor and Ollie teaming up as Green Arrow and sort of them working to find a balance in that dynamic for sure, definitely push and pull in their methods of being Green Arrow, sort of showcasing how they learn from each other
21. Share a favorite piece of comics lore.
GA writers have been investigated by the CIA :)
24. What's your favorite crossover event?
I'm really fond of the Battle of Muir Island, which is apparently a lot more niche than I thought it was

much to the chagrin of my boyfriend and my students, I do not play video games nor am I super into watching other people play video games
37. Any characters you used to dislike but now you like? What changed your mind?
I used to really not like Pyro, but I'd only seen him in the movies and in X-Men: Evo, but I just came to really enjoy him in the comics, all it took was actually reading lol

Fic idea
X-men Naruto au
Squad X?
Team X?
An x-men naruto au would break the world EKFNEJDJSKFJ
But honestly I can't see a Naruto au where the characters fit EXCEPT if it's the founders era... Hashirama Senju and Madara Uchiha are cherik core since they work together to build something for their kind (shinobi/mutants) but in he end we have someone who wants to build a place where his people are safe and kids don't have to fight in wars anymore and ends up creating a place where war is the only way and child soldiers are a thing even if that really wasn't his intention (the Hashirama-Charles pipeline is craaazy, especially with Charles' "I feel a great swell of pity for the poor fool who comes to that school looking for trouble" and Hashirama's "I will protect our... no, my village. I will not forgive anyone who threatens the village. Be they a friend, sibling, or even my own child") and then we have someone who suffered great losses and who's seen as a threat constantly and ends up turning away from their partner's dream because they realize that peace won't be reached like this, which leads them to fight for peace in a different and more violent way.
Hashimada as cherik would be absolutely painful especially if we put the part where Madara asks Hashirama to either kill himself or his own brother (and the thought of Tobirama as Raven is killing me actually djsjdjkd 😭) to show Madara that he can trust Hashirama, and Hashirama chooses to take his own life. Charles just deciding to die in order to make Erik turn to his side and ordering Raven to not kill Erik and work with him to make a better place, only for Erik to stop him at the last second is the angst we all need. And OH the heartbreak when Erik turns his back on Charles again because he realizes the place they're building is not enough to find peace, that there's always a war. The Naruto war arc with Kaguya and everything would be the equivalent of Apocalypse djsjfkkf
If we get the normal timeline in which Naruto is alive I'd honestly say David Haller should be Naruto became 1) autism, 2) i want him to. Charles as his deceased father who trapped a fox demon inside his newborn son to save the village is absolutely something Charles would do plus Charles as Minato would make me cry and you KNOW i love making Charles suffer. And I think David deserves to punch Charles once they meet inside David's head and ask him what kind of father traps a fucking demon inside his own son, for the drama (as if the comics don't already give us enough). But with David as Naruto I don't know who Sakura and Sasuke would be, but Ruth as Hinata would also be very cool >:)
Will I ever write this? Who knows...... but the idea is there lmao

So, I am starting to think that S*dney B*rrett is Noah Hawley's metaphor for the people who use and abuse and manipulate people with mental health issues for their own gain. There is no other reason for her existence in this show anymore. Especially with how Hawley has portrayed mental illness in this season and last season. I have a feeling that she and the summerland crew are done after this season if the show is renewed.

All I Want - Part 2 || Doctor Strange x fem!reader
Tumblr media
Word count: 4.5K
Warning: HEAVY SPOILERS to DS:MoM. MildAngst. Mild Violence, Adventure. Doctor Strange x You
A/N: First of all, thank you all so much for enjoying 'All I ask - Part 1', I did not expect it to get much attention at all. Here's Part 2, I hope ya'll enjoy it as much as the first. This one is a bit light-hearted and leans more into action (which is my first time writing as well, I tried my best.) I hope it's not too boring.
Ps. I inserted some MCU references, I can't help myself. Part 3 will contain Stephen trying to get you back.
PART I // PART III ***Strictly do not: claim, repost, copy, translate my stories anywhere else***

“Do you, (Y/N, L/N), take David Haller to be your lawfully wedded husband, do promise to love and cherish him, in good times and in bad, in sickness and in health, for richer for poorer, for better for worse, and forsaking all others, keep yourself only unto her/him, for so long as you both shall live?” The Pastor turned to you and asked with a soft smile. You glanced at the Pastor then your future husband.
With a shy smile, you opened your mouth to say ‘I do’ but before you could, an all too familiar voice spoke over you, “Don’t! So help me god, please do not say, I do.” Stephen stood tall in the middle of the aisle, his voice bouncing off the walls of the cathedral. People gasped and started murmuring with each other. You looked around feeling embarrassed, you took one step down, David’s big hands clasping around your arm, mouthing, ‘Don’t.’
“It’s fine.” You reassured him and walked towards Stephen, “Are you out of your mind?” You whisper-shouted, standing directly in front of the taller man, looking up at him with furious eyes.
“I’ve been through this once and I will not stand and do nothing, especially when it’s you. Do you really want to spend the rest of your life with someone else?” He places his palm against your cheek, his voice as soft as his touch. His eyes narrowed as he scanned your face, searching for the truth hidden in it.
Though it felt nice to feel his touch on your skin, your heart didn’t belong to him anymore. How could he turn up to your wedding declaring his love for you in front of everyone, right when it’s too late? You raised your hand and slapped him as hard as you could across the face—
Stephen rose from his slumber panting, this recurring nightmare is driving him insane, he swore he could feel the sting of your slap against his left cheek. Stephen knew that somewhere in another universe, this was actually happening to him. He couldn’t complain though, they all deserve it, him included, for leading you on when he clearly wasn’t ready for you.
Ever since that cold day where he walked out of your life, you're all he's been thinking about. He thought about all the different outcomes that could've been. Would it push you away even further if he stayed with you? Now he just wasn't sure whether he made the right decision.
He believes he could easily walk back into your life, but it’s mending what he broke is the tough part. And It almost seems like fate was playing with the both of you because there were countless times where you've  crossed each other's paths and you avoided him every time. Stephen felt bitter, he wasn’t used to you acting as if he's a stranger but he had no one else to blame but himself. You only truly realize what you've lost until it's gone.
It’s been eight months since the break-up, and six months since he and America Chavez dealt with The Scarlet Witch. His adventures in the multiverse helped him clear his clouded head, which is why he's made up his mind to get you back but with the help of a teenager who seems to be obsessed with his love life.
•••
Six months ago
Stephen and America landed in a universe somewhat similar to theirs however this one was teeming with plant life in skyscrapers, multiple rainbows in the sky, the air smells fresh and unpolluted, green means stop and go means red and everyone wore neutral colored clothing, making him and the kid stand out from the crowd. It hasn’t been five minutes and Strange already had to put a spell on a man because of America’s careless shenanigans.
They walked past a futuristic shop that promotes having memories played for you and buy it to preserve it. America went first, the AI scanning her and showed a realistic hologram of her memory, only to show the start of her calvary of losing her moms and being lost in the multiverse.
Stephen stepped into the pod right after America, the AI automatically scanning him for a memory to be played back for him. The hologram expanded covering most of his surroundings.
Stephen saw you, standing alone at the nurses station reading your patient’s charts in an old folder. He found himself standing adjacent to you, this moment was the first time he met you. He watched himself feel the dried skin on his lips, “My lips have gotten so dry, does anyone have chapstick by any chance?” He asked.
You looked around but didn’t raise your head, there was nobody there but the two of you but you didn’t feel the need to answer him, just in case he wasn’t actually talking to you.
“Nobody? Okay.” He sighed and drummed the counter surface with his fingertips.
“I’m sorry, are you talking to me?” You met his gaze and didn’t realise it was the actual Stephen Strange who was trying to have a chat with you.
“Yeah, it’s not like there’s other people here but us.” He replied sarcastically with a smile, the smartass-erry kind of rubbed you the wrong way.
“If you didn’t make it sound like there were other people here then maybe I wouldn’t have ignored you.” Your eyebrows quirked, giving him a bit of attitude. You’ve heard stories about him, about how he’s very egotistical and loves to be in control, how he is fawned over by many of the staff because of how intelligent he is, not to mention his confidence… but despite his intelligence there’s only one thing he can’t figure out, his relationship with Christine.
Stephen shrugged, “So (Y/N),” He paused, his flirtatious eyes noticed the name badge on your chest, “I haven’t seen you here before, are you new here?”
“That’s for me to know and for you to find out, Doctor.” You emphasised on his title with a half-smirk, “Oh and here. Keep it, don’t worry I haven’t used it yet. I wouldn’t want to contaminate your sterile field.” You left your cherry flavoured chapstick near him, leaving Stephen all by himself.
"What's that supposed to mean?" He scoffed, not sure why he feels offended by you. He couldn’t tear his eyes off of you until you disappeared in the corner. He was stunned that you just shut down his advances and possibly just insulted him without a stutter.
The memory dissipated after he took one step back, America had her hand over her mouth trying not to laugh, “Damn, (Y/N)’s way sassier in your universe.” Stephen gave her a warning look, causing America to clear her throat, “What? It was obvious you liked it.” She shrugged.
Stephen shook his head, “This is a waste of time, Let’s go.” He ushered the kid to follow him in the direction of the Sanctum, “You seem to know a thing or two about (Y/N), have you met her in other universes?”
America glanced at the man, surprised he wanted to keep talking about you, despite looking full of regret after watching his memory, “Yeah but your relationship with her in the other universes seemed a bit inconsistent or different from each other.”
“What do you mean?”
“In one universe, you guys have always been together, in another just friends, and in some she was the one who got away. Also, I haven’t met a Doctor Strange that didn't have a Christine crisis yet to be honest— it’s like you guys really aren’t meant for each other; but with (Y/N), I think your outcome will depend on the choices you make, y'know? Like in the future?” America shrugged and noticed that the man was in deep thought, “But take my word with a grain of salt. I’m not really an expert with this whole universe-fate-thing.”
"It actually… kind of makes sense." Stephen tilted his head, mumbling. A tinge of hope about getting you back blossoming inside him.
"So… are you going to tell me about your (Y/N)?" America playfully nudged Stephens arm, anticipating for some kind of love story from the man.
Your (Y/N).
"You make it sound like she's mine." Steven furrowed his brows.
"Wait, she isn’t?! Awh what a bummer. What did you do?" America puffed her cheeks, her shoulders slouching slightly in disappointment, she was already accusing Stephen of being the one in the wrong.
"I–" He paused and squinted his eyes at the kid, "Last time I checked, I wasn’t obligated to tell you anything about my love life."
"Oh c'mon! We're already talking about her, you might as well just tell me— all the other Stranges did, don't be the sourpuss." America pushed on, trying to convince the man to spill the juice.
Stephen heaved a frustrated sigh, he had a feeling the kid won't stop until he spits it out, "I might’ve unknowingly made her my rebound–"
America gasped, "Man, that's cold." Stephen shot her a glare, "Sorry, continue." She sheepishly fixed her gaze ahead of her.
"I was so focused wallowing on my unreciprocated love for Christine that I turned a blind eye to the one who actually deserves it. She endured all of the pain I was causing her for a long time–" Stephen got interrupted by America gasping quietly, covering her mouth.
"You walked away didn’t you?" She squinted her eyes at the man.
"Uh– no, she asked me to let her go and I just respected her wishes."
America threw her hands in the air at Stephen’s lame excuse, "That’s walking away genius! You didn't even fight for her? like you didn't take her in your arms and y'know? ki–"
Stephen's eye twitched, "You watch too many dramas kid. Tch. We're here."
Stephen and America were welcomed by a large statue of his variant, the metal plaque quoted, 'In honour of Doctor Strange for sacrificing himself to save humanity from Thanos.'
"I'm dead in this universe. Great." Stephen threw his head back, feeling defeated.
"Then who's guarding the sanctum?" America furrowed her brows, the frustration of Strange was getting to her, he was the only one she could trust and he's beginning to feel helpless.
"Let’s hope for someone reasonable."
The Sanctum doors opened on their own revealing the current master guarding it. Stephen and America's eyes widened as they held in a gasp while seeing you with a dark green tunic robe, your hair fell onto your waist, half-braided around the crown of your head. It brought up your beauty even more despite having a few wrinkles showing the years you've grown wiser.
"I always suspected this day would come," You walked towards Strange with a stoic expression, not allowing them to measure your next move.
"You did?" Stephen's jaw tensed, his Adam's apple bobbing as he swallowed out of nervousness. He couldn’t calculate what you were going to do.
"Yes," You stood a metre apart from the two, taking turns to give them glances, "Because you always suspected, this day would come."
Stephen glanced at his statue then back to you, looking confused as hell. His body was tense and his guard was up despite feeling secretly happy to see you, or at least a version of you, a slightly older version.
"My love," You stepped closer and crowded his space with your embrace, your arms wrapping around his torso under his arms, his heart thrashed inside his chest, he almost forgot to breathe. You pulled away, your smile gleaming, "Come, you have to tell me all about your universe."
You led the pair in a meeting lounge on the second floor of the sanctum. Both were taking turns to explain to you about the danger America is in and how dangerous The Scarlet Witch has become. None piqued your interest until Stephen mentioned The Book of Vishanti. Your head tilted to the side, curious about what their actual motives were with it.
“The Book of the Vishanti contains the most powerful magic spells known, I’m assuming you want to use it against your Scarlet Witch?” You placed your tea down, pressing your lips together, “I’m afraid I can’t take you to the book.”
Stephen’s brows drew together as he wasn’t expecting you to refuse, he stood up to protest, “You don’t understand- Wanda, s-she…” After a split second, Stephen felt light headed, his surroundings were warping, his vision and hearing becoming distorted, same goes with America.
“What was in that tea?” The kid passed out on the arm leather chair while you approached Stephen who was fighting off the spell.
“I can’t give you the book, Stephen,” You leaned in close, Stephen attempted to use his powers but was unable to because you’ve set the Sands of Nisanti in effect, “Because all of you, are the real dangers in the multiverse.” You lightly flicked his forehead, the sleeping spell making it easier to topple him down.
In Stephen’s point of view, everything fell into slow motion, “You bitch.” He cursed as he fell on the floor, he watched you crouch over him with a cruel smile spreading across your face.
“Oh darling, you made me.” Was the last thing he heard when everything went black.
•••
Stephen woke up inside a thick metal glass, his wrists bounded by high technology cuffs that flashed green. His senses slowly went back to normal yet he felt groggy. The sinister image of you being the first he remembers – flashing in his memory like a film. Not only he felt infuriated that you’ve outsmarted him, he also felt betrayed. Whatever Doctor Strange did in this universe to you, it was probably that bad.
He got up, asking America if she was alright. The girl has been busy trying to catch anyone's attention to no avail for the last three hours. Only when Stephen woke up is when someone felt compelled to say something.
Stephen was surprised to see Christine, but felt nothing when he laid eyes on her. Not a thrum in his heart could be felt. He threw questions at the woman, anything he could come up with to try and gain her trust but it didn't work, “Your mere existence in this universe can result in catastrophic events, and should you be found guilty by our leaders, we have no choice but to do something about it.”
Stephen looked at Christine with his brows arched, “Your leaders? What? The Avengers?”
You answered Stephen as you walked in with Ultron Sentries following behind you, “The Illuminati, will see you now.”
“The Illumi-What-ty?” Stephen’s cuffs conjoined together before the heavy doors of his cube opened up. Watchful eyes saw him out as he approached you and the Sentries, “Don’t let anything happen to that kid.” He firmly asked of you and Christine.
“No! Where are you guys taking him?!” America stood close to her door, scared to be left alone without the only person she could trust.
You glanced at America who was basically on the verge of tears seeing Stephen being taken away, “Guard the lab and prepare for anyone who tries to attack.” You ordered in a monotonic voice, you turned your back towards Stephen and gestured to him to follow you, the Sentries surrounding him on both sides.
“(Y/N), Whatever I did to you in this universe, I am sorry.” Stephen thought it was a good idea to start a conversation, but he was only trying to get under your skin, “I made a stupid choice in my own reality, I shouldn’t have let you go so easily.”
You halted, turning your head without facing him, “I didn’t ask and I am not interested.” You harshly replied.
“If I ever get back to my own reality, I will make sure to make things right, spend every hour of every day offering myself wholly to you, to make up for your time, which I wasted.” He stared pointedly at your back, trying to fish some sort of reaction from you, trying to push all the wrong buttons.
“I said, I didn’t ask and I don’t care.” You spoke hard and proceeded to lead him to where the rest of The Illuminati were. Stephen smirked behind your back, he definitely got under your skin. Your grudge seeped out of you, he instantly knew he could use this to his advantage, he doesn’t know how yet but he’ll work it out.
Before he knew it, he faced the judging eyes of the so-called ‘The Illuminati.’ You named them one by one while Stephen retorted smartass replies. The Illuminati was already convinced that Doctor Strange was a bigger threat than the Scarlet Witch no matter what he says. Classy Pitbull in yellow hot wheels, as Stephen called him, told the truth about killing their Doctor Strange because of how much he’s been corrupted by the Darkhold, causing an incursion, resulting in the annihilation of another universe.
Stephen has the urge to bang his head on the wall as you and the others sit up there, grossly underestimating Wanda and overestimating him all the while the alarms start going off, “We’ve been breached.”
“No shit, genius.” Stephen glared up at you and Professor X, the others running out to defend the base. You casted your vote to get rid of him while the older man proposes to let him go.
“Are you crazy? He will destroy all of reality!” You pointed at Stephen with your weapon, the ancient sword of O’Bengh.
“Just because someone stumbles and loses their way, doesn't mean they are lost forever. We will let him go.” Professor X gave Stephen a small smile before excusing himself out, leaving the two of you alone.
“You heard him, uncuff me.” Stephen commanded while his eyes followed your pacing figure up at the platform. His tone made you laugh, does he really think Professor X’s words alone matter?
“That’s one out of six, we will wait until the others have returned to get your final verdict.”
The building rumbles, cement powder crashing on the floor and Strange nervously looks at the ceiling, “I don’t think your friends are coming back-,” Stephen began to reason but you kept the silent treatment, “Okay, I think I know what this is about…,” Stephen laughed, a haughty sound that makes you want to shatter his teeth, “We obviously have history…. and I’m assuming it fell down the drain because of a simple mistake.” He shrugged, minimising what might’ve been a huge mistake.
He watched your body language carefully, you fiddled with the handle of your sword behind you, you were taking in deep breaths, your cheeks puffing slightly as a sign you were getting agitated, just like how he wants you to be.
“I bet you’re doing this to get revenge, haven’t you gotten that already? When all of you killed me? Hah, imagine taking away someone else’s Stephen just because you can’t get over me? Just how bad did I fuck you up in this universe huh?” Stephen kept on goading you.
Your jaw was beginning to ache from clenching your teeth, “Bad enough for me to want to kill you twice.” You drew O’Bengh’s ancient sword and lunged at Stephen, swinging the mystic blade towards him, coming down on him hard. Stephen had little time to register the attack but thanks to his quick thinking, he used his cuffs to block your first blow.
Stephen’s brute force pushed you back, he crouched down to sweep his foot under yours and you stumbled on the cold floor, “Too slow.” All he could do was to push you back and defend, he refuses to punch or hit you even though his life is endangered. You eyed each other like hunter and prey, Stephen cocking his brow, daring you to attack him.
You grumbled and lurched towards him once more, striking him with your sword repeatedly with your full weight, attacking him with no goal but death. You used all the strength you can gather with each blow, hard enough to get him flying towards the wall and uncuff one of his wrists.
With a heavy breath, you walked towards him, grabbing the man by the collar and pushing him against the wall, pointing your blade at him, with a split second of uncertainty in your eyes. You pierced the blade forward aiming at his face while he held onto your wrist tightly and cuffed your wrist just in time. As soon as his eyes met yours, you knew you were in trouble. Your powers became ineffective and your sword withdrew before it could stab him in the face.
It caught you off guard as you lost your abilities, “I don’t want to hit you.” He said, his breath ragged from taking all of your strikes.
“Then you’re a coward.” You were shocked but you recovered fast enough to launch a punch at his face, Stephen caught your fist, enveloping it with his big hands. You yanked and pulled while fighting hand-cuffed to each other, only separating when the cuffs got hooked and you fell in the pit in between the platforms.
You fell to the floor with a grunt, using your elbows to sit yourself up. This time Stephen had the upper hand and charged towards you, using his weight to pin you on the floor. You squirmed under him, however you already made a mistake of using up all your energy towards him, “STOP IT,” He roared, “I am done playing around, tell me where The Book of Vishanti is.”
“I’m not going to tell you.” You say sending daggers with your eyes while you are struggling against his weight.
“That kid’s life is in danger, do you understand me? If The Scarlet Witch absorbs her powers and she dies, that’ll be in your hands, not mine.” Stephen says through gritted teeth, “This isn’t about me anymore (Y/N), this is about the kid. Please.” Stephen locks in his blue eyes directly into yours, pleading, his genuine emotion melting the icy wall you built around yourself. Your guts telling you to help them.
Your facial muscles softed, you can see it in his eyes that he seriously cared about America, “Fine, but I’m doing this for the kid.”
Stephen released a heavy sigh of relief after hearing you say those words, “Thank you.” His eyes slightly filling with water, he cleared his throat and pushed himself up and you with him.
You dusted yourself and looked up at the ledge, “Help me up then.”
“How do I know you won’t leave me behind?” Stephen asked, hesitant to do your request.
“Do you want to save the kid or not?” You rolled your eyes and snapped at him. Stephen gave you a boost and you climbed up the ledge, “C’mon.” You reached your hand out to him, and pulled him up with the last remaining strength you got left.
It was a bit of a struggle pulling him up, considering the fact that he weighed much more than you. You ended up back on the floor, trying to catch your breath.
“So you got a soft spot for kids huh?” Stephen asked.
You nodded, “I have a daughter.”
Stephen perked his head, “You do? Is that why you changed your mind?”
“Partly yes, and partly because I could tell you really cared about America.” There was untold sadness behind your eyes as you told him your reason, “My Stephen… he only cared about becoming more powerful because he’s afraid of the unseen dangers that lurk. We had a daughter and she unexpectedly came with powers. He thought that this would attract creatures of the dark and believed she’s not strong enough to control it. So he absorbed her power, telling me that it wouldn’t harm her but along with her powers came her life force. I couldn’t do anything about it, I couldn’t stop him and I lost her.” You tried to laugh it off and wiped your tears with your eyes, “Anyway, let’s not waste any more time, we have to go.” You stood up and Stephen took hold of your wrist.
“I-” He began. He suddenly felt bad about provoking you and if his version were still alive in this universe, he would be more than happy to get rid of him, himself.
“If you’re going to apologise, there’s no need. When you get back to your reality, just do me a favour and make things right. Show your (Y/N), your raw feelings, and most importantly, let go of your fears. You can’t have control over everything.” You gave him a soft smile.

You and Stephen sprinted through the corridors, trying to find America. You passed by another hallway and saw Christine with the girl in your peripheral vision, you pulled Stephen back and approached the two.
“Stephen!”America ran towards the man and hugged him.
Stephen awkwardly patted America’s back, “Are you hurt?”
You and Christine exchanged glances to each other, “Christine, if you don’t mind removing the cuffs please.” You lifted your wrist.
“Oh of course.” She pressed the control button, unlocking yours instantly.
“And his.” You gestured your head towards Stephen. Christine was quite reluctant to release the man, “It’s okay. If America trusts him then, it’s good enough for me.” You smiled at the girl.
“I had a feeling you weren’t so bad.” America chuckled and hugged you as well.
“We have to get you to the book and out of here.” Your smile twitched as you grabbed onto her, leading them towards a door that had stairs leading into the basement. The four of you raced down the stairs, not killing anymore time.
“Go! Go!” You allowed Christine and America to go first, you and Stephen following just behind them. The Witch was getting closer and closer, despite the four of you sprinting as if you’re in a marathon. You slowed down, Stephen was only able to notice that you weren’t next to him after failing to hear your footsteps, “(Y/N)! What are you doing?”
Christine and America halted a few metres away from him, looking back to see what's going on.
“I’m going to buy you some time, GO!” You began drawing powers with your hand gestures but the three didn’t move an inch, “What are you waiting for? LEAVE, NOW!” You shouted with urgency as you could hear the Witch catching up.
“(Y/N), you can’t fight her off alone.”
“I know, and I said I’m going to buy you some time.” You repeated firmly, showing Stephen that you weren’t going to budge this time.
Stephen gritten his teeth, knowing what you’re about to do and quite reluctant to leave you behind, “Damn you.”
You chuckled, “Promise me, you’ll keep that favour. That's all I want from you now.” You chucked a pendant necklace towards Stephen with a little message engraved on it, "You're going to need that. Now go."
Stephen caught it and read it clenching his jaw as he forced himself to run, "Go!" He shouted at the two who were confused as to why you weren't coming. Christine snd America shouting your name as Stephen pulls them along as the heavy doors slams shut.
As the red fog rolls in, you conjure your spells green in colour to repel the witch for as long as you can hold, your smirk growing as the Scarlet Witch emerges from the dark, "Glorious Purpose."
my soul has travelled long and far to find  yours. – (Your Initials)

OCs DESERVE BETTER -> Charlotte Xavier (X-Men/MCU)
FC: Daisy Ridley
The fraternal twin of David Haller aka Legion, her past is roughly the same as her brother’s - both witness the death of their biological mother, both get raised not knowing who their father is. Where their path’s diverge, however, is when they get adopted separately, despite their social worker’s adamancy they remain together and the Haller’s practically begging to adopt both twins. Naturally, Charlotte does whatever she can to get back to her brother, which frustrates and angers her adoptive parents - enough that an argument when she is about five or six causes her X-gene to activate. With her adoptive parents being fairly anti-mutant and her constantly trying to run away, they decide to drop her off at Xavier’s School for Gifted Youngsters and never look back.
Being a powerful telepath, the only two fellow mutant’s able to understand how much she struggles with her newfound powers are Jean Grey and Professor Charles Xavier, the latter of whom seems... familiar, somehow. Both her and Xavier discover why when, while he is trying to teach her, he stumbles upon her early memories - her mother and her twin.
This leads to the revelations Charles Xavier is her father and had no idea he had left Gabrielle pregnant when they ended their relationship. Because of this, Charlotte is able to reunite with David, who is able to receive help and training for dealing with his overwhelming powers and many different personalities. While she isn’t as powerful as her father or brother or Jean Grey, Charlotte is still relatively powerful in her own right.
Rather than become one of the X-Men, Charlotte chooses to travel, helping find other mutants and offer to escort them to Xavier’s. This leads to her discovering the two latest Avenger’s - a Wanda and Pietro Maximoff - are mutants, which goes down a rabbit hole no one saw coming.

Legion Rewatch Notes,
Chapter 8:
The Revolution
Aw man, how unfortunate what’s happened to Clark. I feel soooooooo bad. I mean he was just humble div 3 agent, doing his job, gaslighting marginalized individuals, participating in a genocide. How cruel of those bad bad mutants to injure him so badly. He was only actively about to kill David. What could he possibly have done to deserve any of this?
In other words, the Clark propaganda is not working on me this time. At all.
Maybe don’t participate in a genocide? Idk :/
I normally hate when people type in the passive aggressive way I have been for the past few paragraphs, but goddamn, Clark deserves it.
He’s not quite as damaged... but he’s kind’ve like old David here, from the over-medicated living with Amy timeline. Again, not quite as damaged as that though.
Clark considers mutants a “threat to democracy.” 🙄 “Moral panic” I guess?
“The second I walk outta this room, i’m going to war.” There’s that word again. Clark could just... not, and they’d probably have more time to figure out how to safely eradicate Farouk. But because he doesn’t and David busies himself with peace treaties, Farouk escapes and continues to be a problem for the next year. Clark has a family. A husband and child who love him to death. And he chooses war over them. This pattern will repeat in other character. Technically this isn’t even the start of it.
Suit change, new cane, same Clark. This really doesn’t change anything, does it? He could go through the rest of the series in the suit he wore before and it wouldn’t make difference. The valiant hero dressing for an expected victory over their long time (relatively) rival, only to be stopped immediately by an unforeseen development. This pattern will repeat... tragically.
Considering Farouk!David woulda just dusted them, it’s probably nice for his friends to see the real him is much less violent. He just stacks em like a Jenga Tower, no need for anything more.
Also, Wilhelm scream from one of the soldiers.
He’s also talking strangely. In an almost too calm voice. Measured. He talks like this a few other times, but I think those times have sadder context. Maybe they reflect on this moment. He talks like how he talked when Farouk was mind-melded with him, but his intentions aren’t evil this time around. I guess this is just his “fully in control” voice.
Clark’s literally shaking where he stands.
The zoom in to Clark’s blind eye is reminiscent to previous zoom in’s to Walter’s foggy eye. I guess Clark has taken on the role of Walter, artificially. Makes sense since he’s now the main D3 representative/antagonist like Walter was before.
“I don’t care if you save me, or the world, if you don’t save yourself.” David will eventually choose himself over the world, and Syd. And Syd will hunt him for it. Goes to show how much things change in s2.
“You know the most dangerous thing about schizophrenia?”
“You’re not-“
“The most dangerous thing is believing... you don’t have it! That’s the trick, the mind killer, your disease convinces you you don’t have it. So, for example, one day in the hospital you meet a girl and she has some friends, and they tell you you’re not sick. You have superpowers. And more than anything you wanna believe it because that means you’re not crazy! That means you can fall in love and live happily ever after. But you know if you believe it, if you surrender to the hope and you’re wrong, then... you’re never coming back.”
“I’m here. I’m real. The power is real. You gotta accept it, otherwise we can’t move on.”
“I was in Clockworks for six years. Drugged, doing nothing. Contributing nothing. And now, finally I can be useful! I can help! Don’t you get it? I am so sick of myself. This only works if it’s not about me.”
“David...”
So... that’s a lot. David believes being crazy means he’s not allowed to fall in love, or be happy. He said the same sentiment to Amy before Clockworks. This whole season and this episode especially push David into his full “I’m not insane, I won’t believe you if you tell me otherwise” mindset. At the very least that’s the stakes we’re playing with. If David fully gives into the hope, even for a moment, he believes there’s no possibility for recovery. No possibility for love or happiness. Why even try after that? It’s life or death for him. “If the choice is between life and death, I choose life.”
I know this is all already known and talked about and circulated 100’s of times over in various fan circles, but it’s probably the most important line for David’s character (the speech, not the Farouk quote). It’s very ableist, yes, but at least in the moment it’s coming from someone who’s just being too hard on themselves, and not ya know, being actively validated by the show.
2 episodes ago David talked about being worried about an “invincible” feeling. The dangers of mania.
We also know from that episode that David is more at peace in a calm, responsibilityless setting (with Syd) than he is out in the real world. David’s gonna take on a ton of responsibility, some of it’s gonna draw him away from Syd. At multiple moments throughout the show David has known his own mental health better than any of the others, and even warned them about potentially dangerous slopes he could fall down without their help. Despite this, David is pushed further down a path he tells them is dangerous and is still blamed for what happens in the end. I feel like Oliver’s line from ep4 is relevant here again, “We are the root of all our problems. Our anger, our confusion, our fear of things we don’t understand.” Everyone wants David to be something other than... David. A hero, a god, there projected image of a perfect partner. Not just... David.
Man, the more I realize about David’s self-awareness in s1 the madder I am at Syd for saying all that ableist stuff to him in s2 as if he wasn’t already down on himself 24/7. “It never occurred to you that you’re the problem not the solution?” It’s occurred to him like 5 times by now and has been shut down by you at least 3 of those times. I don’t understand.
What’s strange is... to my recollection David doesn’t believe he’s invincible at the end of s2. Or that he’s not sick.
“Saint David.”
“I’m not saying that. I make mistakes.”
“Say you’re gonna let them kill me if I don’t let them turn me into something different. Something easy. Something clean.” He sounds sinister here, but it is an indication that he knows he’s not perfect. In fact it sounds like he’s trying to appeal to Chap 1 Syd’s mentality. Your disorder is what “makes you you.”
So what’s the message here?
“We can’t just kill people. Or is that who we are now?”
“That’s who they are.”
The justification for killing here is that they’ll kill them if they don’t. Div 3 will kill Summerland if Summerland doesn’t kill Div 3, is what I meant. David has a similar justification for killing Shadow King in s2. Well, he has a LOT of justifications for it, but that’s one of them. Syd doesn’t hear it then either. She does attempt to kill David herself though. I don’t quite understand where the line is.
“He was gonna kill you, twice.”
“With that kind of thinking wars would never end.”
So... he shoulda just talked to The Shadow King when they were both powerless? Talking is what ultimately ends their fight in s3... hmm...
Cary is more humane to their POW than Melanie and Ptonomy are.
The show doesn’t necessarily say it was Cary’s fault for leaving Kerry. Either way though, Kerry needs some space.
Melanie calls David a “world breaker” and outright says now that he knows that’s what he is, div 3 doesn’t stand a chance. I suppose... knowing that... is why they so readily team with Farouk. They stood no chance otherwise. Even then, at least hide him away till after the intervention.
David’s floating meditation pose is seen more in s2 and A LOT more in s3.
He puts the onus of ending the war on Div 3. As if to say, “If things get violent again, it’ll be on you, not us.”
People keep talking about “gods” “waking up” and “realizing they don’t have to listen to us/them anymore.”
When Clark says it David’s first response is, “Isn’t that the history of the world?” But it’s a red herring (or something else) cause he follows it up with, “People of different nations, different languages, learning to live together?”
Clark is afraid if mutants gain power they won’t show humans mercy or equality. This is a common belief among fascist. The “they’ll treat us like we treat them” argument. Only it’s rarely self-aware, and it isn’t here either. Clark genuinely believes he’s not doing anything wrong. It’s all somehow in “self defense.”
Ah, so Farouk and Syd are connected psychically. He entered her mind whenever she entered David’s. He psychically affects her at multiple points throughout the series.
Syd here is convinced to help The Shadow King by The Shadow King. And while he’s wearing a mask at that. Yeah yeah, this pattern will repeat. But still, Syd gives in relatively quickly here. Perhaps she just... doesn’t fully trust Summerlands capabilities? They are legitimately trying to get rid of Farouk, but Farouk has proven time and time again how dangerous he is. Or maybe the “unmake soup” thing is just that convincing to Syd.
Clark’s still standoffish, but he’s slowly becoming more cooperative.
Syd rolled a 4 on that hero speech. She needed at least a 7.
I legitimately NEVER noticed before that Syd secretly turns on the lab camera feed for Clark to watch. They weren’t trying to show him that.
David gets a chance to look back at his whole life and recontextualize everything.
David straight up halts Farouk’s theme. If Clockworks Podcast is right and he can hear that whenever Farouk shows up, this would be evidence of it. Alternatively, he was halting Farouk, and the music halting was for the audience. A fun subversion of expectations.
David describes him and Farouk as, “The Sun and Moon.”
Division 3 sees it. The monster they saw on infrared. Clearly a separate entity from David Haller. Clearly of a different disposition than David Haller as David Haller has acted very differently and non-hostile compared to when they saw him roaming those HQ halls. The monster and David are not the same. They see who their real enemy is now.
It seems evident there was no chance of David beating Farouk on his own here. I wonder why? Was it true? Is Farouk just too ingrained in his mind? Cary said he was like a, “Computer virus. Learning his systems, bypassing his defenses.” Maybe Syd remembered that, and that’s why she believed Farouk. Cause Cary had already said something similar before.
Clark could've escaped, but he stayed, then tried to help fight Farouk.
I feel really sad Oliver got possessed. It never occurred to me before he could even tell Melanie he remembered her. Melanie’ll just go on thinking he never remembered her for a year.
And thus it’s established. There are “good mutants” and there are “bad mutants.”
No one checks on Ptonomy :(
The Lenny that’s talking to Oliver here is still just Farouk.
Did the orb go back as far as it could? Or was this time specifically chosen? If it was chosen, it was probably because it’s very soon after Farouk had been expelled from David’s head, and before the big race for his body starts.

Select L.A. County/California Races, March 3, 2020
Hi friends, it’s me again. I am here to offer my opinions on how you should vote. As before I am up front about my biases: I am a Warren supporter, I live in L.A. and I am actively pro-density (Yay SB50, you deserved better) and pro-transit. I live in the east Valley, so I tend to focus more closely on the issues that directly impact my side of town, though I try to keep an ear out on things countywide.
Last time I did this a couple of folks reached out to give me gifts to say thanks for doing this guide. This year, I would encourage anybody who wants to say thanks to donate $5 to Fair Fight,  a group founded by Stacey Abrams to fight voter suppression in the 2020 election. We’re gonna need all the help we can get in November to defeat the GOP, and Abrams is doing it in a smart way.
Other voting guides
This is my voting guide and reflects my general opinion on things. However, I am indebeted to many other guides, including the Knock L.A. Voter Guide and the L.A. Podcast Voter Guide for their takes. I don’t always agree with them, but both of these are invaluable resources for the progressive voter in Los Angeles.
L.A. City Council
This year the even numbered seats are up for re-election. Half of them are effectively uncontested, a couple are very much contested, and two are free for all because of term limits.
CD2: Ayinde Jones
Look none of these candidates set my heart afire. I work with Councilmember Krekorian’s office a lot (remember, I live in the east Valley) and he’s a competent politician with a ton of endorsements and community ties, I have no illusion he’s going to win his full term comfortably on March 3. However, I believe it’s good to encourage competition, and Ayinde Jones did a good (not great) job at the candidate forum I attended hitting on themes of how the parts of CD2 north of Victory are being left behind as the area evolves. I wish he were better on S50, but then again all three candidates were opposed, so that’s kind of a wash. I look forward to hearing more from Jones in the future.
CD4: Sarah Kate Levy
From a paucity of options to a surplus of options next door. CD4 is currently represented by David Ryu, a politician who came out of the Neighborhood Council system and went on to become...a city hall politician. Both his opponents are great. Nithya Raman is the founder of SELAH, a group that does amazing work helping the unhoused in Los Angeles, and recently led Times Up! Hollywood for a year. I’d vote for her in a heartbeat, but I am encouraging people to vote for Sarah Kate Levy for two reasons: first, Levy is unabashedly supportive of SB50 and we need this kind of leadership, and second I am hoping these two excellent women will get so many votes that they overwhelm Ryu and leave him in third place. Fingers crossed.
CD6: Bill Haller
This is another shoo-in. Nury Martinez is the City Council president and has the backing of the County party and all the local clubs. I am endorsing Bill Haller because he supports an agenda that includes more public funding for affordable housing, more and better transit, and climate justice.
CD8: Marqueece Harris-Dawson
There are no other candidates in this race, so congratulations on your re-election Councilmember Harris-Dawson.
CD10: Aura Vasquez
This is an open seat, and the smart money has Mark Ridley-Thomas as the frontrunner. Ridley-Thomas is a current member of the L.A. County Board of Supervisors (more on them later) who is termed out of that position. I’m endorsing Aura Vasquez, a progressive activist with ties to Mid-City who has served as a commissioner for LADWP and led fights for renewable energy, banning single use plastics, and housing affordability in her community.
CD12: Loraine Lundquist
Dr. Lundquist rules. She takes public transit to debates, she is an honest to goodness scientist, and she nearly beat a Republican in what is the most conservative district in L.A. during a special election. I have donated money to this lady because we need to win this one. Her opponent, John Lee, wasted no time in trying to block housing for the homeless in his district and in attacking a successful safer streets project on Reseda Blvd. The city has a chance - a really great chance thanks to the realigned municipal elections - to toss out the worst possible councilmember in favor of the most progressive voice, don’t mess it up.
CD14: Cyndi Otteson
This race is Kevin de Léon’s to lose, but he won’t commit to serving a full term since he really wants to be mayor. I say let him have his spare time to run for mayor and select Ms. Otteson, a grassroots activist who has the support of the UTLA and who is the only voice in favor of the Colorado Blvd alignment of the NoHo to Pasadena BRT project. Transit equity matters, and Ms. Otteson deserves your vote this March.
LAUSD School Board
Deferring to the teachers’ endorsements on this one.
Board Seat 1: George McKenna
Board Seat 3: Scott Schmerlson
Board Seat 5: Jackie Goldberg
Board Seat 7: Patricia Castellanos
Glendale City Council: Dan Brotman
An environmental activist with progresive views, Brotman will be a useful voice in Glendale’s city hall.
District Attorney: Rachel Rossi
George Gascón and Rachel Rossi will both be light years better than the current county D.A., Jackie Lacey. Both have promised to make substantial reforms in the office. I am really torn on this one, since I think Gascón’s experience as a Deputy DA in San Francisco is a big deal, and since he has the backing of the County Party. I am endorsing Rossi in a tilt-at-windmills hope that somehow she and Gascón make it to the final ballot in November and give us a thoughtful debate between a career prosecutor bent on reform and a public defender whose goal is reform about methods and ideas. Anyway, don’t vote for Jackie Lacey is all I am saying here.
Superior Court
Voting for judges is stupid. We shouldn’t be doing this, but since we have to, I’ll make some suggestions. My math is based on other progressive endorsements, Party endorsements, and reverse-engineering some well known conservative voting guides to, if nothing else, make sure I am not voting for their endorsement.
Office 17: Shannon Kathleen Cooley (the race is uncontested)
Office 42: Linda Sun
Office 72: Myanna Dellinger
Office 76: Emily Cole (Cole is a prosecutor, but her opponent is a man who literally changed his name to “Judge” after serving as a judge in Stanislaus County)
Office 80: Klint James McKay
Currently an administrative law judge, he impressed Public Defender Union representatives with his thoughtful and articulate answers to their questioning.
Office 97: Sherry L. Powell (Powell’s opponent ran as a conservative Republican for state assembly in 2018, this is a defensive vote)
Office 129: Kenneth Fuller
Office 131: Michelle Kelley (the race is uncontested)
Office 141: Lana Kim (the race is uncontested)
Office 145: Troy Slaten (Slaten’s opponent has a troubling history of misconduct and should not be elected to a judgeship)
Office 150: Tom Parsekian
Office 162: David D. Diamond
L.A. County Board of Supervisors
The Supervisors oversee policy for the County, including all unincorporated areas, the LASD, County Health services, etc. For a county of TEN MILLION PEOPLE, there are only five supervisors, so they have a hugely outsized influence.
Seat 2: Jorge Nuno
A lot of progressives are endorsing Holly Mitchell in this seat. Me, I just can’t go there when she’s speaking at events for Livable California and when she gave a floor speech opposing SB50. Though he’s the front runner, Herb Wesson doesn’t deserve your vote - he was City Council president when the homelessness crisis exploded and he’s done little to address it. Nuno is a progressive and has an ambitious platform.
Seat 4: Janice Hahn
She’s solid, and nobody’s pushing her from the left.
Seat 5: John Harabedian
Kathryn Barger, the incumbent, is a Republican who supports Trump’s immigration policies. John Harabedian is a solidly Center Left Democrat who has the backing of the county party and who could, in this presidential election year, win an upset in what is traditionally a Republican stronghold of L.A. County. Vote for him.
County Ballot Measures
Measure R: YES YES YES
This will provide crucial tools to the already existing civilian oversight committee for the LASD, including subpoena powers. It also requires the commission to study ways to divert offenders from jail. You need to vote yes on this.
State Ballot Measures
Prop 13: Yes
$15B in bonds to invest in public schools and “local control” to allow local school districts to issue larger bonds. The only real opposition is from the Howard Jarvis Taxpayers Association, a revanchist organization that is singlehandedly responsible for much of our state and local problems in the past few decades. Don’t listen to them.
Congressional Elections
Despite some misgivings, I am generally supporting the progressive challengers here to hopefully lead to a Progressive/Center Left election in the fall.
CD 25: Christy Smith
She has a good track record in the state assembly and a strong local support network. She’s not a carpetbagger with a YouTube show, and she’s not a Republican.
CD 28: Adam Schiff
He’s not the most progressive guy in Congress but he’s been critical to holding Trump accountable. He’s earned this vote.
CD 29: Angelica Duenas
Tony Cardenas is a bit of a non-entity on the national stage but he does good local work and he was an early vote in favor of impeachment. The rape allegations against him which troubled me last time were dismissed with prejudice in 2019. Cardenas has a progressive challenger, Angelica Marie Duenas, who has run in the past as a Green Party candidate. I don’t trust her decision to abandon that label and come into the Democrats after getting drubbed in 2018, but overall I like her ideas and I’d be happy to see her and Cardenas in a runoff this year.
CD 30: CJ Berina
Brad Sherman is an okay Congressmember. CJ Berina is a young, progressive challenger who’s attracted the attention of the Sunrise Movement. I’d vote for him to try to push the GOP out of the runoff and make this a race between the Center Left and the Progressive Left.
CD 34: Frances Yasmeen Motiwalla
Jimmy Gomez is solid; let’s push the GOP out of the runoff though by supporting this progressive.
State House
District 39: Luz Rivas
District 41: Chris Holden
District 43: Laura Friedman
District 44: Jacqui Irwin
District 45: Jesse Gabriel
District 46: Adrin Nazarian
District 48: Blanca Rubio
District 49: Edwin Chau
District 50: Richard Bloom
District 51: Wendy Carillo
District 53: Godfrey Plata
District 54: Tracey Jones
District 55: Andrew Rodriguez
District 58: Margaret Villa
District 59: Reggie Jones-Sawyer
District 62: Autumn Burke
District 63: Anthony Rendon
District 64: Fatima Iqbal-Zubair
District 66: Al Muratsuchi
District 70: Patrick O’Donnell
State Senate
SD 21: Kipp Mueller
SD 23: Abigail Medina
SD 25: No Endorsement - I rarely do this but honestly Anthony Portantino does not deserve your vote. Write in Mickey Mouse.
SD 27: Henry Stern
SD 29: Josh Newman
SD 31: Richard Roth
SD 33: Lena Gonzalez
SD 35: Steven Bradford
County Committees
Look this is getting waaaaaaaaaaaaaay into the weeds. What I am going to say is this: I know that a lot of “progressive” slates are out there and I encourage you to try your best to vet them. In my district, one of the candidates is somebody I know personally - she actively campaigned for Jill Stein, she circulated the decades-old “Clinton Death List” to voters, and she pushed Pizzagate theories. I am not voting for this person, but she is endorsed by “Progressive California” so...just be careful.

Name 10 different characters from 10 different places (books, TV shows, movies etc) and tag at least 10 people
I was tagged to do this by @drawntothedarkside literal ages ago but only noticed now, thank you!!
Let’s see, I don’t think I’ll go with my usual favourites (ex: Oz, Mulder, Detective Watts, Garth Fitzgerald, House, etc) which makes it hard to choose so:
The latest character I’m obsessed with attached to, Lance Sweets (Bones)
Tumblr media
An underrated character in an underrated show, David Haller (Legion)
Tumblr media
One of my more recent underappreciated favourites as of season 11, Chuck Shurley (Supernatural)
Tumblr media
The adorable pie-maker, Ned (Pushing Daisies)
Tumblr media
Lovable jerk Todd Brotzman (Dirk Gently’s Holistic Detective Agency)
Tumblr media
Lounge Singing Demon and everyone’s best friend Lorne (Angel)

I met the actor who plays this one! George Crabtree (Murdoch Mysteries) While Watts is my new standing favourite as of season 11-12, George will always have a special place in my heart.
Tumblr media
Okay, this show wasn’t my absolute favourite but it deserved better and I’d be lying if I said I didn’t have a crush on Michael Weston as Houdini (Houdini and Doyle)
Tumblr media
And while House is and always will be my favourite, I always had a soft spot for Kutner (House MD) Probably one of his few actually always likable minions, the tears are real
Tumblr media
And finally ummm, Ice Bear (We Bare Bears) because how can you not love him, I don’t know okay, Ice Bear is best bear

Have you ever noticed that ( LENNY BUSKER ) from the ( MARVEL UNIVERSE ) looks a lot like ( AUBREY PLAZA )? Having the ability of ( HUSTLING & BEING A REANIMATED CORPSE ) sure makes them a force to be reckoned with. They’re known to be ( OUTGOING ) but also ( SARDONIC ) and they’re ( THIRTY-TWO ) years old.
Tumblr media
Guess who’s here with another crazy girl? That’s right, it’s me, Valky! I’m so, so excited to bring Lenny to the RP. Here’s some stuff about her.
TW: abuse, drugs, death, underage drinking, suicide
First things first, my version of Lenny is only canon up until episode 3x04 of Legion. Everything that happened after that episode is trash, and I don’t believe that my girl deserved any of what happened to her, so I won’t be sticking to that storyline.
Lenore ‘Lenny’ Busker was a patient at Clockworks Mental Hospital. During her childhood, she started drinking with her grandma at the age of 9. Her upbringing was a very unhappy one. Her parents divorced while she was young after her mother found out that her father was a piece of shit (I don’t wanna say what he did, it makes me wanna vomit). In high school, Lenny came to the realisation that she’s a lesbian.
Sometime during high school, she ran away from home. In order to survive, she became a hustler, and as she got older, she dabbled in drugs and became an addict. To afford her addiction, she turned to prostitution.
Lenny was arrested 13 times before being admitted to Clockworks. Nobody knows what all of her past crimes were, but I’d assume that they were petty robbery, and soliciting. She has an ‘I don’t give a fuck’ attitude, so the arrests could’ve been for anything, really.
After being admitted to Clockworks, she became friends with David Haller. They spent a lot of time together, and she shared her Twizzlers with him, so it was obviously platonic love at first sight.
Unfortunately, Lenny died during season 1 of Legion. When David kissed his girlfriend, Sydney, he didn’t know about her powers. Or his own. When it happened, they switched places (Syd’s power) and because she couldn’t control David’s powers while inside his body, she caused a psychic blast. Lenny’s body was partially phased through a wall, which basically cut her in half, kinda?
Lenny's consciousness was absorbed by Amahl Farouk/The Shadow King, a mutant parasite that was residing within David's mind. He used Lenny as a way of concealing himself from David, and it was through Lenny that Farouk communicated with David.
She was used as a distraction or shield whenever Farouk needed her to get to David. The Shadow King used her to torture and mess with David and his friends. A lot of people suffered, including Lenny. Being repeatedly used and abused by Farouk was hell for her.
When Farouk finally revealed his true self to David, Lenny appeared and begged David to kill her, saying that the Shadow King was holding her consciousness hostage. She revealed that she had tried to kill herself several times but the Shadow King kept reconstructing her consciousness.
A short while later, Farouk hunted down his physical body to resurrect it. He wanted to test that the method of resurrection would be safe for him, so he killed Amy Haller (David’s sister) and transferred Lenny’s consciousness into her body. After he’d done that, he left Lenny to be found in the desert.
Lenny was kept inside a cell after being found by Division 3, begging to talk to David, but getting nowhere. Nobody trusted her after what had happened with Farouk. Eventually, she escaped.
These days, she lives with David and his hippy cult. She is his righthand woman, and she adores him, even if she wants to literally kill him sometimes. Her girlfriend, Salmon, is pregnant with their child. Lenny wants to be a better person for her family, and is off the drugs, finally ready to break away from the cult. She’s had enough of that life, but we’ll see where I go with that.
Okay, bbs, I tried to keep this as short as possible, but I couldn’t. Lenny has been through some bad stuff, as you can see. If you wanna plot, hmu through IMs or on discord. <3

{The Murder of Alternative Character Design}
Hello there!
My name is Arabella, but you can call me Arry if easier. You may be looking at the title and feeling a bit confused by it. “The Murder of Alternative Character Design” may be quite a confusing title and leave others wondering what the hell it even means. But that is why I am here to spread awareness about this horrible phenomenon that is going on in recent pop culture. Especially with superheroes. ‘Alternative Character Design’ to me is when a character (usually a superhero) looks different from the traditional standard of the type of character they represent. I can name quite a couple of alternatively dressed superheroes who get made into more traditional wear or boring wear in their live-action debut. So let’s invade the topic!
(The poor costume design recently...)
I don’t know if you have noticed but the quality of costume design and the importance of comic accuracy has lowered in demand. It seems now like live-action adaptations of a comic book character just throw whatever they can to seem “different” or “out there”. Yet it murders the costume design to begin with. Recently in “Birds of Prey”, one of my favorite DC female characters ‘Black Canary’ has had her main outfit leaked on set. And there are no fishnets to be seen or a bodysuit or anything that represents the character in the comics. I personally love Black Canary for that reason with how different she looks and how she isn’t afraid to wear leather, fishnets and reveal skin, things that could be seen as hooker-ish. She rocks and makes it look stylish and badass. Yet in Birds of Prey, it seems like they went for a more ‘preppy’ approach where nothing about her screams ‘Black Canary’ but perhaps the colors. Even then, black and yellow in DC and especially to non-comic book readers just screams Batman. Netflix recently released a show called “The Umbrella Academy” and I don’t really know much about the comics except that it was created by My Chemical Romance babe Gerard Way who I grew up listening to his music. Even after they broke up. It saddened me to see the complete difference from the comics to the actual live-action adaptation. The art is nearly killed with the inaccuracy as Allison Hargreeves doesn’t have her awesome purple-blue hair. Klaus didn't have his awesome skull shirt, ouija pendant necklace and signature bright orange hair. Diego’s long, blond hair is completely disregarded despite the lack of longer hair on dudes in superhero shows. All of this is disregarded for a more preppy, modern and “up to date” look that kills the character design that made the comics look so different in the first place. And it’s Gerard Way’s creation for crying out loud! He was part of an alternative group! They didn't look nearly as normal as the people in the show look. Even Klaus looks normal compared to how these people used to look. It’s changed for diversity and relatability to other characters but where’s my representation? Where’s my second personality’s representation? And this isn’t just on DC’s end. Marvel does this as well with my favorite X-Men character, Kurt Wagner, a.k.a Nightcrawler. Who seriously wore a Thriller jacket in X-Men Apocalypse. It was the worse outfit I have ever seen on Nightcrawler. Nightcrawler in the comics is basically Gothic. He wears dark clothes, looks kind of scary to the point where people fear him on a daily basis, and has hints of red here and there. The usage of color in Kurt’s design is usually creative and done justice. Now I could understand if they were going for a more X-Men Evolution Kurt but even then, the outfit was better and Kurt is rarely seen as blue in that outfit because when he is blue, it is shown to hardly work with being blue. The colors don’t go well with his skin. Also, his personality is a lot different to X-Men Apocalypse’s but we are talking about character design not writing. And can someone please show Legion FX how to dress punk people? Don’t say David Haller is punk when you hardly dress him as punk.
(Why is this an issue?)
So, why is this an issue? You may ask me when reading this post. They’re characters, Arry. They aren’t always going to be comic-book accurate. Why are you so upset over all of this? As an artist, to me, character design and clothing choices is just as important as personality. Appearance is the first thing you see of anyone and it can say a lot. You express yourself through your appearance more than you think. When creating a character, I always make sure that I have the character design down pack. It’s my favorite thing to do. I am not against preppier clothing or modernizing things. I understand that this is something that has to be taken into consideration when taking a character and placing them in live-action. There are some things that are too difficult to carry over. But why make a live-action adaptation of something if you are not going to use the version that everyone who reads the comics is familiar with? What’s wrong with having abnormally colored hair? I get that diversity is a hot topic right now and it’s amazing that everyone is getting representation in one way or another. But diversity goes deeper than just skin tone. I have never seen a true alternative like character outside of cartoons that was done right. And I have tons of favorite goth girls in cartoons (Gwen & Crimson from Total Drama, Sam Manson from Danny Phantom, Mandy from The Grim Adventures of Billy & Mandy, Triana Orpheus from Venture Bros, Jinx & Raven from Teen Titans, The Hex Girls from Scooby Doo, Rogue from X-Men Evolution, Joan of Arc from Clone High, Marceline from Adventure Time, Marie from Ed, Edd, and Eddy.) the list goes on. These aren’t characters you see in live-action though. These aren’t female characters that are even considered in live-action or even superheroes for that matter. And comic books are incredible for the reason that you don’t have to conform to normality. You can make any character you want. That’s why we have such unique characters in comic books and even in cartoons. Justice Friends has a colorful witch named Miss Spell and Valhallen is a metalhead. This is one of the many reasons why Neil Gaiman has been picky and harsh over making his Sandman comics into live-action because Sandman features so many subgenres of styles. Goth and punk, mostly. These characters aren’t represented in live-action adaptations. They are forgotten about or normalized. Kurt Wagner is a background character and they still couldn’t dress him how he is in the comics. The Umbrella Academy normalized its characters a lot in clothing choices. And it’s sad. There are people who dress like this and should be able to see themselves in at least one superhero. Kurt Wagner teaches us that not all goths are gloomy and depressed or dangerous. He’s a goth with a pure soul and good heart. Sandman comics make Death and Dream and Delirium seem normal, like they don’t have to change to be liked or good-hearted. They are who they are. The Umbrella Academy basically showed that you could wear abnormal costumes, have colored hair, have longer hair for a dude and still be an awesome superhero. X-Men has tons of abnormally colored hair characters that rarely make it onto the big screen, they are usually brought to small screen like Blink and Polaris in The Gifted. And in Legion FX, the most evil and villainous character is a punk. David Haller is not a good person on Legion nor can he be considered an anti-hero anymore. He is a despicable being with a god complex. Punks already get the bad rep of being dangerous, angry, and mean-spirited. Do we really need a character in mainstream media to be punk while also had killed multiple people and raped his girlfriend? That’s not progressive, that’s moving backwards. Superboy doesn’t even have his leather jacket, leather gloves and black circle sunglasses anymore with his undercut. He’s just narrowed down to a tee shirt and jeans most of the time.
(How can we change this issue?)
I am not exactly sure. I know it seems kind of lame to like… bring up an issue and then not offer a solution. I feel like the best way to fix this problem is to hopefully notify costume designers that the world is in need of different styles. Their designs are not “out there” or “different”, as the comic book characters designs were already out there and they completely changed them. I am a huge judge when it comes to costume and character designs in live-action adaptations and I may make a post on why that is. I feel like we need to open our eyes to newer looks. To give some representation to those who dress differently from others. The issues that I brought up are already done and over with. Bad representation for punks as evil and villainous. The Umbrella Academy normalized every character, even Klaus. And hopefully Marvel can give us the Nightcrawler that we deserve as Fox no longer has the rights. All we can do is hope that this comic inaccuracy is a pasting phase and that creators will soon give the outcasts a voice and a chance for better representation. To stop being the villains or bad guys.
This was a short rant that I felt had to be done and I had to explain some issues. I hope you enjoyed my post and agree with some points that I made. If you have any questions on the matter, feel free to message me. If you like this post and want to see more like this, feel free to follow our Tumblr! And if you liked the post, feel free to reblog and like. I post every Wednesday and Saturday! I will see you on Wednesday. Peace out!

OCs DESERVE BETTER --> Charlotte Xavier & David Haller | Legion
“You’re lying. My brother would never do something like that.”
“Are you sure?
*
“Get out of my way Charlotte.”
“David, please - stop this. Don’t do this. Come home.”
The very air around them was charged with barely repressed power - David’s power. It was taking everything Charlotte had to keep her telepath shields up in the face of it. If it did come to fighting her twin, she knew David would win with barely any effort on his part.
It was obviously becoming clear to David that she wasn’t going to budge, physically or otherwise, because the frustrated anger slowly melted off his face to something more blank and resolved.
She thought maybe he would let go of the control over his powers, let them do their job in making her stay out of his way. The shattering of her shields by David’s familiar, once comforting presence was unexpected - as was the feeling of David taking hold of her mind.
Fear shot through her - she was expecting him to kill her but not... this way. Not using the connection they had since conception.
Before the entire world turned black, she clearly heard David’s voice, Don’t worry, sis. I could never kill you.

[spoilers for legion season 2. also i talk about my trauma. these things fit together so neatly that i’d almost be more surprised if noah hawley hadn’t been interviewing my old therapists specifically.]
there were prophecies about me.
this wasn’t especially unusual, given the particular sort of christian milieu i grew up in, and they weren’t very specific prophecies, of course, but if you tell a twelve-year-old they’re destined by G-d for greatness - particularly the sort of child a mother could call a prodigy with a straight face (academically gifted, reading well past her grade level, talented on the piano from an early age, spelling bees, chess tournaments, etc etc) - and particularly the sort of child who’s been largely isolated from peer interaction her entire life, well. someone’s gonna start getting ideas about being the Protagonist. someone grows up half a solipsist, more than half a narcissist. someone will occasionally harbor megalomaniacal delusions. and someone - lots of someones - will get hurt.
and that’s why Legion Season 2 hits like a Fucking Train, because the guy succumbing to his own power, his own illness, devastating the people he cares about with violent grandiosity alternating with crawling need? i have been literally that guy.
and like - i like to laugh about my parents literally giving me a G-ddamn Sword when i turned thirteen, and it’s fucking funny, but at the same time that, right there, is the perfect encapsulation of everything they did to fuck me irredeemably* up. like you’ve got your violence and your blurring of the boundary between fantasy and reality and the idea that you’re different from other people, special, better and all of the regressive bullshit they instilled in me about gender and religion, and there is a direct line from that to David Haller looking out from an isolation bubble at damn near everyone he cares about in the world and only just beginning to realize that he’s hurt them so badly that they are no longer on his side.
“i’m a good person, and i deserve to be loved” was my delusion, too.
