keefe played on wylie’s shoulders once and HE FUCKING SCREAMED because biana and dex were just going at it and he accidentally choked poor wylie with his thighs and they lost

also dex is insanely good at marco polo

stina slightly moved once and this ginger whips around and fucking tackles her and she can’t look him in the eye for weeks

also i just think maruca, marella and dex with muscles

they all have them showing off and everyone else is like “😨😨”

sophie and fitz bring extra towels and snacks for everyone because they’re slightly responsible

keefe can’t swim so he just clings to dex the whole time

dex is very smug about this

they have inside jokes which are being brought up the whole time

rayni and wylie have a secret friendship and one day tam and sophie are chicken fighting with dex and biana

and the four of them are screaming curse words and getting political over it and wylie turns to rayni and says

and says some goofy ass inside joke and she starts snorting and wheeze laughing and everyone turns to them like “????”

marella also can’t swim so she sun bathes the whole time

tam dumps water on her

stina and tams love language is pushing their friends into the pool and dumping water over their heads

the only time they got along actually

stina will never admit it but she really loves the groups company

JENSI IS TALENTLESS. BECAUSE I SAID SO.

and because of jensi being talentless stina always teams up with him for chicken fights so he doesn’t feel left out but he’s also weirdly good at it so she won’t admit it because she feels bad for him and says it’s because he’s good at it

linh absolutely loves to form bubbles around her friends then drop it on them

tam is influencing

the group somehow knows all of nat king coles songs and they scream the lyrics

this group is so chaotic btw

chaotic enough that they scare away all the other people at the public pool, making it their own

fitz lays on a floatie the whole time with a drink and ignores everyone

he doesn’t have time for that shit

until dex, biana and keefe flip over his floatie and he throws it at them then runs after them trying to get it back

they also 100% have water fights and biana is a god with a water gun and i’m gonna leave it there

Can I request, how you can tell when they are asleep when cuddling, with Nina, Dex, Kate and Splendor?

Nina:

It's fairly easy to tell when Nina has fallen asleep when the two of you are cuddling. She's always moving around a bit or chatting with you when the two of you are snuggled up, so when she suddenly stops squirming and goes quiet, there's your giveaway that she's already drifted off to sleep. She'll squeeze her arms around you and rest peacefully once she's finally out.

Dex:

Dex is somewhat hard to figure out. He's quiet and calm when cuddling with you, so there aren't really any giveaways at first when the two of you are cuddling when he's fallen asleep. However, the longer you cuddle with him the more you can pick up on, like his heart rate evening out, his arms loosening the slightest bit around you, etc. He lets you know in subtle ways when he's passed out.

Kate:

Kate can either be very easy to tell or very hard to tell. Some nights, when she's very tired from work, she'll be out within a few minutes, snoring away and grasping onto you as tight as she can while she cuddles up to you. Other nights, it's much more subtle. Her breathing will simply even out and she'll rest herself on you, normally on your chest so she can hear your heartbeat. With Kate, it's 50/50.

Splendor:

Splendor is extremely easy. The man can't shut his mouth when he's cuddling with you, whether it's asking you about your day, telling you funny stories, talking about his own day- he always loves to fill the silence. So, when he stops talking, it's only because he's finally fallen asleep. He'll snore softly as he curls himself around you and snuggles into you for the rest of the night.

Huddle related headcanons (volume 2)

I did say Volume 2 would follow! Including the headcanon that started this adventure. Not all that PG. & obviously, spoilers.

(volume 1)

Jack Zimmerman thinks Senor Bun is the cutest thing ever. He calls him Monsieur Lapin, and speaks to him exclusively in French as part of the ongoing project to get Bitty to learn French. It... doesn’t really work (p1)

Jack specifically commissioned the toothbrush holder. Like really, do you think there are non-custom toothbrush holders with both rabbits and pies? (Bitty doesn’t know.) (p3)

HABS HAT HABS HAT HABS HAT. It is Jack’s. Bitty steals it one time for a strip tease and never gives it back. Now it makes periodic appearances for overdramatic Haus karaoke nights and when the Falconers one is probably downstairs. Jack is conditioned to be a bit weak for the bleu-blanc-rouge, so Bitty can get away with a lot when he’s wearing it. He takes full advantage. (p5)

Bitty only sets a timer when Jack’s around or he’s doing homework. Mostly he has a pretty good internal clock. The frogs bought a whole bunch of eggs mostly for protein-filled breakfasts (because they know Jack’s visiting!), but Ollie and Wicks steal a carton or two to egg the lax bros’ house. This is what earns them dibs. (p8/9)

Jack thinks Bitty’s worrying about him being hurt is adorable for about 5 minutes after he finds out that’s all there is to it. Then it’s kind of annoying. They are playing hockey, after all. But it’s okay in the end, because it leaves a little tiny scar, and Bitty likes to kiss it (and his cheekbone) frequently. (p11)

Ransom is one of those people who sleeps hot. Holster is not. Therefore, he is substantially less likely to be wrapped up in a thousand blankets when he sleeps. This is the primary reason he is Mandy and Jenny’s favourite. That he refuses to believe in them is just bonus entertainment. (p13)

In this universe or some other grown up one, Ransom and Holster are permitted to coach peewee hockey together exactly once. They are much too into each other to be any good at it. Subsequent occasions, they are very purposefully separated. (Jack coaches with Nursey, because he’s smart enough to know he’d get distracted with Bitty. Dex with Ransom, Holster with Bitty, Shitty is FORCEFULLY kept away by Lardo. The coaching staff approves.) (p15)

Dex hates C. (p16)

The dying days of summer are Kent’s favourite time of year. Still warm enough to lounge comfortably in his swimming trunks (he has at least a dozen pairs), dog tags, and a snapback, next to his pool in Vegas, still cramming in calories before the season begins but after everyone’s started to come back from their scattered locales around the world. (p21)

It’s cold enough to see each other’s breath in the car, but in Kent’s rundown old Civic in a rest stop out of town after practice, they’re in their own world, and nothing else matters. (And now I’m crying about Pimms. p24)

Georgia Martin doesn’t entirely come out to the world, just stops hiding it. She marries her college sweetheart, who, yes, plays for the Canadian team, and in her next thirst trap photoshoot (because Hilary Knight absolutely took inspiration from her), she’s wearing her ring. There’s no accompanying story for an explanation. Someone else asks her wife whose ring she’s wearing, and “George’s” is the absolute truth, but it’s a few weeks later that someone asks how her husband is that that assumption is clarified. The more quick-witted put two and two together, but to date, they haven’t done a joint interview no matter how many people ask. (George’s wife coaches the Northeastern Huskies women’s team, because research decrees this plausible.) (I love George, and Julie Chu and Caroline Ouellette, why do you ask?) (p25)

Patater is real, because Tater’s instagram icon is a cat. Also, A91Mashkov means Tater is born in 1991, and is therefore a year younger than Jack and Kent, and was drafted the following year. I would also like to submit that justincoco, AKA Justin Oluransi (yes there is contradictory evidence but it validates intention here), does not know which of the two he is referring to as his boy. This interaction goes broadly unnoticed until they are friends and he gets Tater to follow him (cue the Holsom Taters because I am Like That.) (also yes, I realise I have contradicted myself in headcanons on the same page) (i have been reminded that complex polycules mean i am not contradicting myself) (p32)

So it's pride month, so here's a list of headcanons about the sexualities of the samwell men's hockey team and occasional others.

Bitty is gay, that's canon

Jack is aromantic and bisexual. Or well technically demiromantic but he doesn't care about specifics

Ransom is pansexual and Holster is biromantic asexual and they are in a loving poly-qpr with each other where Holster dates Ransom and Ransom dates Holster and also occasionally other people. Currently he hasn't dated anyone else bc he has a huge crush on Tater.

Tater doesn't care about identities or the gender of who he dates. He doesn't want to pick a word, mostly bc his English isn't great and he's still unsure of the whole queer as a slur thing. According to Jack Adam and Randy have an open relationship and he definitely wants to be in the middle of that. Unfortunately every time he tries to ask, Adam starts acting weird. Maybe he doesn't like him

Lardo is pansexual with a preference for girls. She's disinterested in romance in most cases but doesn't necessarily identify as aromantic. She's also non-binary

Shitty is the token straight on the team and he wishes he wasn't bc "cis straight white guys suck brah"

Chowder and Farmer are the campus power couple made up of a pair of badass bisexuals and everyone is jealous of them.

Dex is a functional gay and Nursey is a disaster gay who thinks he's a distiguished gay and that's like 80% of their problems. Nursey is also genderqueer but has trouble expressing it.

Whiskey is apothiromantic (romance repulse) and that's 70% of the reason he spends most of his time at the LAX house. When he's there it's mostly sex talk and that's better than hearing all 20 different pet names Bitty has for Jack every time he walks into the kitchen.

Tango is still questioning but he thinks he might be asexual. He uses queer mostly bc he likes that it means he doesn't have to pick something more specific if he doesn't want to.

Ford is a lesbian and is one of the few people on the team with her shit together. She's currently single but that's bc she broke up with her high school gf before college and hasn't felt like dating anyone since. She's kind of got a crush on Lardo and she's doing her best to hide it.

Georgia Martin is a lesbian and also Ford's hero. What a #lesbianicon

Johnson is a true a-spec icon being asexual, aromantic, and agender. If you ask him about it he'll go on a fourth wall breaking discussion that'll leave you more confused than you started

Kent is homoromantic asexual, though experiences have left him with ptsd and sex-repulsion that he's slowly working through with his boyfriend and a lot of therapy. So much therapy.

Swoops/Jeff is gay and loves his damaged bf very much and still can't believe that Kent wants to date him.

This is written for Dex as him already being a creep so the reader doesn’t have to deal with his parents~

Dex:

Dex is confused the minute he wakes up in a body that isn't his, and he's immediately on edge. Especially when a woman knocks on the door to the room he's in and states that breakfast is ready. He does his best to make it through the day, thinking it's just some weird dream and he leaves it at that.

However, when he wakes up in the same situation a few days later, he knows something is up. He leaves you notes, especially about how to navigate the serial killers he lives with and how to care for his zombified body, and you leave him notes for your basic daily life. He ends up not complaining about the situation because the sudden influx of positive parental attention means a lot to him.

Cherry:

Cherry knows something is up the second she wakes up, and a glance in the mirror confirms her suspicions that this isn't her body or her life. She rolls with the situation easily and figures out who you are quite easily, thus allowing her to know how to make it through your life, and she leaves you notes about her own life.

She ends up getting in contact with you and the two of you work out a system for when you end up switching. Cherry gives you advice on how to help the people she's contracted with, and you give her tips on your daily life. She enjoys the surroundings of a loving and caring family, and she hopes that you're having fun with your newfound magic.

Jeff:

Jeff is so completely and utterly confused when he wakes up the next morning, and as he tries to navigate the new house he's in, confusing your parents, he simply mutters that he isn't feeling well and asks to stay in "his" room all day. He ends up finding your phone and texting BEN to figure out what the fuck is up, which is lucky because people very quickly realized you were too nice to be Jeff.

Slender ends up bringing Jeff back to the mansion in your body and the two of you end up working out a system for this because it's very clear you don't have the personality it takes to kill people and Jeff is a bit too rough to pass off as you to your parents. Jeff takes days off when you two switch so you don't have to kill, and he soaks up all the love and affection your family has to offer.

Toby:

Toby is moderately confused upon awaking in a new bedroom, but he's been in so many weird situations throughout his life that he calmly navigates the situation and manages to pass off as you throughout the day. Before bed, he writes his number upon a piece of paper in your room and the two of you get in contact.

You end up making Slender aware of your situation, and you both work around the newfound issues. You take care of Toby's simple chores, and Toby gets the chance to live like a normal person. He soaks up the positive attention like a sponge and seems to enjoy this new issue.

Dex:

Dex is definitely accepting and loving of a chubby partner. He craves physical touch from his partners, and the softness and warmth of your skin just draws him in like a moth to a light. He could spend every minute of the day snuggled up against your form, his head resting upon your thighs or your stomach. Hugs with you are also always his favorite thing, and he could spend hours pressing kisses all over your form as well.

Honey:

Honey loves everything about you, and she's always making you aware of that fact. She loves the comfort the softness and warmth of your form provides, she loves the way your clothing hugs your form, the way that you fit so snugly in her arms- there's nothing to dislike about you! If you're ever feeling insecure, she's there to make you feel better, always complimenting you and pointing out the things that she loves about you. She could tell you every day if she needed to, because really, you're perfect in her eyes.

Dex greatly admires you for your singing talent, and he never fails to let you know. As a DJ in his spare time, Dex is really into music, so it's something the two of you bonded over very early in your relationship. If you ever need him to help you out in getting someone close enough to hear you sing he's also happy to help out there as well.

Whenever he catches you singing while you do work around the mansion it brings a smile to his face. Some days he'll even happily sing along with you. If you're alright with it, he might even ask you to come to sing at one of the shows that he DJs at, and of course you'd be paid for it, but he really thinks that you'd absolutely shine up there on stage if you had the chance to sing up there.

Ok so I saw the thing about dex meeting Toby’s mom and being nervous before she completely and utterly accepts him, and I was wondering if maybe we could get a scenario about it 👉👈

Long headcanons coming atcha yet again~ Sorry this is SO late this is one of the posts I put off because I seriously lacked inspiration for a bit~ Also I miss you, you haven’t written in in a while~

Dex had heard all of the stories about Toby's mom. About how she was so kind to them, about how she cared for them as if they were her own children, everything. He was one of the few that hadn't gotten the chance to meet her and despite the good stories everyone had of her, he was still nervous that just maybe he could be the one she wouldn't like.

He was a wreck the whole morning, waiting for her arrival, and the other creeps had done whatever they could to calm him down, and even Toby himself had teased him over how worked up he was getting over it. When she finally arrived, greeting everyone joyously, Dex seemed to feel the worry melting away.

She happily greeted Dex as well, introducing herself and asking him who he was, where he'd come from, etc. And he told her, as though he was talking to an old friend. Eventually, he felt tears leaking down his face, and she ended up giving him a knowing smile and pulling him into a big motherly hug. It wasn't the first time it had happened, nor would it be the last. Needless to say, Dex meeting his mom had been a success.

Dex:

Dex has limited personal experience in the gothic fashion, but he does love the aesthetics of it. If you want to dress him up he's more than willing to partake as he can get quite into fashion, and he's even likely to keep a few of the outfits you'd pick for him and add them to his regular wardrobe. Makeup doesn't go well with his zombified skin and stitches so he might pass on that, but if you want him to help you out he'd love to learn how to do makeup just to spend more time with you.

Cherry:

Cherry herself is a fanatic for the gothic style, as it's the only style she dresses in. She gets along with you extremely well, and the two of you could go on about it for hours. The two of you tend to pick outfits for each other quite often, and Cherry might even tailor you some new outfits as she does for herself. She has no problems with you doing her makeup, and if you're interested in makeup as well she's quite happy to do yours for you and make a day out of it.

For the Sake of Science

I hope you enjoy this, because I am incredibly proud of it and I think it’s my favorite work. Under the cut for length.

My parents were very interesting people. They had odd quirks and a habit of avoiding social situations, as their beliefs had made them outcasts amongst their community. My parents both claimed to be pursuing science for the sake of advancing society, but that couldn't be further from the truth at the root of it. They just wanted to test the limits of their "science", and I happened to be the perfect guinea pig for them.

My father was a surgeon in his day to day life, and my mother had been a chemist before she was abruptly fired one day for making propositions to her coworkers that were most definitely not in the job description. She had proposed that they begin experimenting on humans with various chemical combinations to try and alter the human species to a more evolved state, a "perfect" state, as she called it. She had threatened them when they called her insane, and she was fired for misconduct. My father seemed to agree with her ideals, and soon they began trying for a child, a child that they would make the perfect human being, and that child was me.

I don't remember much from my early years. It wasn't until about the age of five that things began to take a turn for the worst in my miserable excuse for a life. I remember that I was constantly getting sick, and I didn't know why. My parents never took me to the doctor and tried to nurse me back to health at home, and it wasn't until I had overheard my parents speaking one night that I learned that they had been poisoning my food. When I stopped eating any food they would give me, they began to take different measures to run their tests.

When I was eight, they renovated the basement in our house. What was once an empty bland storage room was now a medical lab that would soon become a living hell for me for many years to come. One day my mother led me down into the basement, telling me she was going to give me a physical checkup, something she told me was normal for every child to go through. I very quickly learned this to be incorrect. Once I was in the basement, she led me over to a medical be and had me hop up onto it, and before I was aware of what was happening, she and my father had held me down and restrained me to the bed.

My mother then proceeded to pull out some chemical blend that she had filled a syringe with, and she injected me with it at small amounts at a time. She claimed she was giving me a medicine that would make me better, but in reality, she was drugging me, and she continued to do so for many years. She would restrain me and test out new concoctions, and if the results proved to be unproductive she would start back at square one and begin all over again, never asking me if I wanted it, or how I felt other than if it was making me feel stronger, or more attractive, or more intelligent, to which I always answered no.

I learned quickly to not cry out when I would protest, when I would cry, scream out for help, yank on my restraints or try to bite them. My mother had a temper, and my father seemed to have no emotional attachments to me, so he would let her do as he pleased. She would get angry with me because perfect people weren't supposed to cry and refuse treatment. She would often beat me when I wouldn't listen to her when she was feeling kind. If she wasn't she would inject particularly painful substances or make me swallow them. Other times she would tie me up and whip me until her arm was tired or she was bored.

I hated my mother, but I would take her chemical injections over my father's specialty any day. My father was a surgeon, studied long and hard for it, but he, like my mother, wanted to take his chosen study further than moral decisions would allow him. He often did vivisections of me, sometimes alone, sometimes with my mother. Maybe I wouldn't have minded him poking around in my body so much if it wasn't for the fact that I was awake and had no numbing agents used on me to prevent pain. I would just have to sit there and bear with it as he stabbed and sliced and poked around inside me while I tried not to cry out or squirm in discomfort.

Sometimes my mother enjoyed injecting her drugs directly into specific organs, which resulted in multiple organs failing in my body, and me growing even weaker and even sicker. Of course, once they crossed the threshold of human experimentation they had no issues dealing in the black market, and they were able to procure me new organs whenever I needed them. After all, they would spare no expense in their delirious pursuit of perfection. Thankfully my father stopped cutting me open eventually, although it was only due to the fact that my skin stopped healing back as fast. I was fragile, and my skin would just peel right off in some places. Whenever I showered, which I was made to do quite often, I could no longer use regular loofas or sponges because they would tear my skin right off. Such is the expected result of being drugged on a daily basis.

These issues caused my skin to not only be sensitive but look and smell bad. Nobody wished to be friends with someone so visibly dying. A few of my teachers were quite concerned and tried to get involved and help me, but they all of a sudden stopped, most likely to my parents stepping in. They would ignore me and pretend I wasn't there unless they were passing back a paper or something else of the sort. The other students I went to school with weren't as forgiving. They would pick on me, some teasing and some spitting out harsh and cruel words about my appearance, my scent, my demeanor.

I didn't complain when they mocked me and called me horrible things. I didn't complain when they swapped out my food for stale, gross replacements. I didn't complain when they soaked me in water, or when one boy decided to piss all over me while I used the bathroom because as he claimed, I already smelled like shit anyways. I didn't say anything when they'd hit me like my mother would because I was already used to the pain. Some of them got bored because I wouldn't react, and some of them continued because they used me as a way for them to vent out their stupid bullshit frustrations. One particularly nasty bitch ended up calling me "Freakshow" one day, and the name quickly spread and stuck. I would be known as Freakshow for the rest of my academic career, and I ended up keeping in the afterlife, because why the fuck not, ya know? Nobody gives a damn anyway.

My mother seemed to become more and more distressed at my horrific state of appearance. Perfect people weren't supposed to be rotting corpses, they were supposed to be angelic and beautiful. Well, let me tell you, I was not nor have I ever been angelic and beautiful, and her worried distress only caused me to go even further from that state as she would pump me full of even more chemicals to try and reverse the effects of her years of misdeeds. When she realized that wasn't working, she stopped. She quit her injections and studies and tests and I thought for once in my life maybe she'd come to her senses. What a horseshit dream that was. Turns out she was trying to have me go through a sort of rehab, to try and get my body back to what a normal human was supposed to look like. When my body got back to a semi-normal state, she plunged right back into her experiments.

Now, I never gave a rat's ass about anything in life. I had nothing to live for, nobody to care about, no interests of any kind. It wasn't until I met Jackson that I seemed to change that thought. You see, Jackson accepted me, made me feel loved, and never judged me for any of my weird qualities. He gave me something to live for, something to hope for, something to smile about. I began dating him in secret behind my parent's backs, and he did a whole lot to increase my mental state. He got me addicted, addicted to living that is. Trying new things, having a fun time, living life. Dopamine and serotonin are two pretty addictive drugs, let me tell ya, and once I was used to feeling them, I couldn't get enough of it. When I was with Jackson I wasn't Freakshow, I wasn't Dexter. I was Dex. I was alive. I was his.

When I was with Jackson, I thought that nothing could go wrong, that maybe I could escape my parent's grasp. I couldn't have been more wrong. My parents ended up somehow finding out about Jackson around the time I'd turned 19, and unbeknownst to me, they kidnapped him and tortured him for several hours when I was out of the house one day. When I returned home, my father who had been waiting for me quickly grabbed me and dragged me downstairs to the basement to show me their handiwork. Jackson was gagged, naked, tied up to the wall, and mutilated beyond repair. He was barely hanging on, and when he saw me he was choking out, trying to say my name, to say anything. Well, my mom ended up killing him right then and there, right before my eyes. She claimed it was for the sake of science, as she howled in laughter. Well, let me tell you I had never felt such emotions raging up inside me as I did at that moment.

I went absolutely batshit crazy, and it's not something I'm proud of. I went apeshit and lost it on them, screaming at the top of my lungs as I went through catharsis, releasing all my pent up emotions over the years. They tried to calm me down with my mother's bullshit excuse of a homemade anesthetic and ended up killing me. So what do they do? Maybe cry, feel bad, repent for their mistakes? Nope. They dump my ass in the backyard and act like nothing ever happened. Of course, by some ungodly happening, I ended up waking back up. Except, I didn't feel like me. I felt goddamn amazing. I couldn't feel absolutely anything. I felt free. Well, almost completely free.

I made my way up through the dirt in our backyard, and then inside the house where I found my parents discussing adoption, of all things, planning on taking in another child for this. Well, I strolled right up to them, and ya know what I did? I bashed them right over the head with the very shovel they buried me with. Let me tell ya, the most fun I've ever had in my life was drugging and torturing them the same way they had done to me. They were crying, weeping, begging me for forgiveness by the time they woke up. Asking me to forgive them, to let them make it up to me. When they realized I wouldn't change my mind they changed their tune, screaming out that I was a disgrace, a zombified monster, a disgusting creature that would never know love. I had lots of fun that night, and I did it all for the sake of science.
