Cant get over how hard they’re biffing it with the Mandalorian. God. Ouchie
#THEY HAD THE PERFECT SHOW GOING & THEY RUINED ITTTT#s3 should have been him on his own slowly realizing he can’t live without Grogu /knowing he’d never be able to see him again#and ON SCREEN we see him go back to argue w the Jedi & take him home. beautiful family reunion ON SCREEN. w the BREATHING ROOM IT DESERVES#& both of them learn to value each other & their connection more than anything else.#& Din’s repression & rigid barriers are slowly but surely eroding#it should have been a story abt how not everything needs to be tied up in destiny & the skywalkers!!!#it should have been the story that demonstrated that star wars could be more & the world can have space for different types of stories!#smaller scale stories!#bitch this bro literally does not care about the darksaber or any of that shit?!#he should have left that thing on the ground somewhere and dipped. or dropped it in the ocean#Now Din is just a guy who doesnt care abt the marvel plot he’s stuck in. *jenny Nicholson voice* oh what a good trait for a protagonist!!!!#they didn’t stop at any point and go hm... maybe that means we’re taking this in the wrong direction?????#literally so stupid#it should be about Din realizing he craves love and connection more than he is beholden to his creed#and going back to Tatooine to fuck a cowboy sloppy style#who said that#bz bz#mandoposting#oogh do u see why i had to go and write a 10k+ word fic to do something about all this#if u agree w me i think u moight loike it 🤭

dinluke making utterly zero sense but catching so much popularity is my favorite thing to exist ever
no no no this is slander it DOES make sense!! u gotta think, dinluke didn't get popular out of nowhere, they got popular after they canonically met. what 2 other things happened in this episode? 1. din's son going with luke to be a jedi and 2. din becoming mand'alor. you know what that leads to? 1. a reason for din and luke to continue to interact and 2. spicy conflict and a shitload of shared struggle. Din and Luke both have to lead/unite/help their disparate, genocided people, are both strongly devoted to their creeds, both fierce warriors willing to do a helluva lot to protect those they love, and like loaaaads more. they might seem pretty different on the surface but at their cores they rlly match up and share a very particular set of experiences and again HAVE REASON TO MEET REPEATEDLY
and that'd be enough on its own but then you have that against their peoples' ancient feud and bam you have some romeo and juliet spiced in there. and w that, even if you ignore the mand'alor stuff you still have their devotions to their religions (+ w that the conflict of intimacy and want and din's helmet/the old code getting in the way), din knowing NOTHING abt famous hero luke and ofc din actively trying to avoid being the main character vs luke being the Most main character ever. its just. im normal abt them

mando s3 would have had the easiest set up plot ever. just start with din trying to go back to his normal life without the baby and you can even explicitly parallel this with s1 and lean into the gritty unfeeling cowboy schtick except this time it’s FOR a reason he’s consciously trying to repress his anguish and loneliness and then after like three episodes of that din has a mental breakdown and is like nvm this shit I’m gonna go kidnap my kid I can’t do this anymore. AND THEN YOU LITERALLY CREATE THE CONDITIONS FOR MODERN MANDO/JEDI CONFLICT IN THE NEW REPUBLIC TIMELINE!!!! EASIEST FATEST FUCKING MEATBALL TO HIT A HOMERUN WITH AND INSTEAD U SMASH UR FACE IN WITH THE BAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

hi there! would love a short fic about jedi!reader introducing Din to long-time friends Han and Leia, which eventually leads to a very intense game of sabacc between Din and Han. thank u <3~
A game of sabacc
Din Djarin x female!Jedi!reader
Words: 1.9k Warnings: mentions of alcohol
For weeks, you had been trying to get Din to head to Coruscant with you. Whenever you brought it up again, he let out an annoyed sigh, talking about how he had so much to do when it came to bounties, payments and travel.
You respected that of course. Being in a relationship with Din for a while had taught you that the man had his own way to travel, to live and to handle things. Going back to Coruscant to meet with some old friends of yours just wasn’t high on his list of priorities right now.
But this list had to change at some point. As he slowly started working through the long list of available bounties, he gained more free time. Din would have preferred to spend it with you on a remote planet, just the two of you basking in your love for each other, but if visiting Coruscant was going to make you happy, then he would use his free time for that. Anything to see a smile on your face.
Besides, you had talked a lot about Han Solo and Leia Organa. Your eyes were sparkling every time you told him a story about your two friends or just referred to a funny situation you had been in with Leia.
While you had been exploring your connection to the Force, mostly with Luke, you did have a lot of intimate talks with Leia as well. It brought you closer together, making you good, intimate friends. Din deserved to know that part of you.
You had been together for quite a while, a year or more, but he had never met any close friends of yours. Acquaintances maybe. People that had helped you out on your travels every once in a while. But after all this time together, sharing intimate moments together, opening up more and more, you felt like Din needed to meet your long-time friends eventually.
It was a sunny day when you finally arrived in Coruscant, landing with the Razor Crest. “Oh, there she is!” You exclaimed excitedly when you spotted Leia outside. The woman was carrying a smile on her lips as she watched the engines of the Razor Crest turn off one by one. “I’ve seen her before. In the holo news,” Din mumbled, fixing the position of his helmet a bit. He didn’t wear it around you that often anymore, but as soon as you entered the atmosphere of a new planet, where scans of the ship could be made, he was hiding his face again. You respected this tradition. His armour was a part of him, as was the Mandalorian way of life.
“Of course you’ve seen her before. She’s a war hero and part of the New Republic.” A chuckle left your lips as you shouldered your bag and then climbed down the ladder from the cockpit. Grogu was already in his little floating crib, a satisfied expression on his face. You had given him some sweets earlier. “Excited to meet some friends?” You asked him with a smile and the small child angled his head slightly, a curious expression filling his gaze.
As soon as the ramp had opened, Leia was coming towards you, her arms flying around your neck to pull you into a tight hug. “Oh, how I have missed you,” she smiled, the excitement also filling her voice. You felt at home, welcomed back into the arms of your friend.
You didn’t hesitate to hug her back, happiness spreading into every bone of your body. As soon as you left the hug though, you reached back to grab Din’s arm gently. The cool metal of his armour felt familiar under your fingertips.
“Leia, this is Din Djarin. A bounty hunter I’ve been travelling with and well…” You didn’t need to say more. Leia understood that Din was not only “someone” you travelled with. At least not anymore.
You could feel Din’s nervousness through the Force. He could hide it well behind his mask and his armour sometimes, but he couldn’t betray the Force. He couldn’t trick your feelings, the connection between you two.
“Welcome to Coruscant, Din. My husband and I are excited to finally meet you,” the Princess smiled, as welcoming as always. Leia had a presence you had never seen before with anyone else. She was friendly, encouraging and a great leader at the same time. Without her, you doubted that the Rebellion would have been able to defeat the Empire. Without her, the war might still be going at this very moment.
“Oh, I’m glad Han is here. Haven’t seen him in a while either,” you chuckled, remembering the last times you had visited Leia. Han just wasn’t one to settle down for a long time. He needed adventure, the dangers of the galaxy, in his every day life.
“Yeah, he’s been preparing some drinks for us all. Follow me.” Leia gestured for you and Din to follow her to their apartment.
Din couldn’t deny that he had never been in a place as fancy as this one. Technologies he had never even heard about ran this place. The apartment was huge, the windows big enough to capture the gigantic Coruscant skyline. “You also used to live in a place like this, cyar’ika?” He whispered, bending down a bit to make sure no one else heard. “No, but I’ve spent some time here. With the princess,” you explained, a chuckle leaving your lips again. You had never experienced the luxury of really living in a place like this, but your friends had often enough let you get a glimpse of it.
Han Solo, the infamous pilot and smuggler, greeted you in the living room area. It was spacious, with a long couch and drinks ready on the glass table. You greeted him with a hug as well, feeling his hands rub your back in a brotherly gesture. “Been a while,” the pilot grinned and then took a step back to look at you. “No major injuries. Everything’s going well, then? And who is this guest of yours?” He asked, not hiding his curiosity. Not that he had ever been able to hide it.
“That’s my partner. Din Djarin,” you replied. A smile spread over your lips. He was your partner. Hopefully for more years to come.
“You look like you could play an entertaining game of sabacc, my friend,” Han grinned, offering Din his hand.
The Mandalorian tensed up a bit, before he eventually shook Han’s hand. “You could say that.” You had seen Din play sabacc a handful of times. He was good at it. Especially since no one was able to read his expressions usually. You had only played against him once, but had failed miserably.
“Then let’s go.” Han had a wide grin in his face as he lead Din over to the kitchen table. The pilot grabbed a deck of sabacc cards from a cupboard in the kitchen, eventually laying down the cards. You positioned yourself behind Din, putting your hands on his shoulders. “Good luck,” you whispered, fingers brushing over the scarf around his neck. You wished you could give him a kiss as a good luck charm. But maybe he could have one as a reward later.
The game eventually started. Han’s expression immediately changed. The grin was gone, instead he was furrowing his eyebrows as he concentrated fully on the cards in front of him. Din’s shoulders tensed up under your grip as he studied his own cards. You could feel the tension between he two players growing continuously.
Glances were exchanged, in hopes of trying to read the other’s mind. Could they maybe have better cards? “I know I’ve won,” Han said, confidently. It was probably a part of his strategy, trying to make Din slip up and maybe draw more cards that could possibly be a disadvantage.
“Do you?” Din asked in return, leaning forward a bit. “I think you’re trying to fool me, smuggler.” The tension was rising between them, your hands getting a tighter grip on your partner’s shoulders.
Leia was already making a step forward to maybe interfere with this game before it could get out of hand. But Han motioned for her to stand back, for now.
“And I think you’re trying to look tough with those cards on your hands.” Han’s mouth formed into yet another grin as he leaned forward as well. Din’s heartbeat rose, a sign of his growing ambition to win this game. Had it been a good idea to let these two play a card game together?
“Just like you’re trying to look tough by switching up your cards with the ones in your sleeve.”
You raised your eyebrows at the pilot in the seat across from you. Han’s cheeks turned a deep shade of red. “You-” he started, but an angry stare from his fiancé was enough.
“How?”
It was all Han asked after that. He wasn’t embarrassed about his attempt at cheating, they didn’t actually play for money, but his ego was still a bit hurt. The Mandalorian was the first person to look past his tricks.
“Let’s just say I’ve got an eye for that,” Din shrugged confidently, slowly getting up again. “Maybe you should try to act less confident next time. It’s kind of like carrying a sign that says ‘I cheat’ around everywhere you go.”
Han let out another chuckle, clearly amused but also impressed by how well Din had been able to identify his tricks.
“Well done. A drink?” Han suggested, handing out the drinks he had already made earlier. Din wasn’t able to drink it now of course, but he would gladly do it when they were in their own room – the guest room.
Tumblr media
Din was slowly removing his armour, eventually placing his helmet down on the windowsill in your room. He let a hand run through his messy curls before facing you with a smile. “I was surprised your friend took that loss so well,” he chuckled, sitting down on the edge of the bed.
“Me too. He’s usually quite bad at that. But… how did you know he was cheating?” You had been watching Han closely as well, but you had no idea what he had done with the cards.
You walked over to the Mandalorian as he parted his legs for you to stand between them. His hands found your hips, giving them a small squeeze before he tilted his head further up, his brown eyes searching for yours. “I didn’t. I just figured he would. Seemed to confident,” he explained and an amused smile appeared on his face.
Din knew people like Han too well not to notice something might be wrong. Even if there was no real evidence at first.
You were impressed, truly. But you still had a question left. “How did you know about the sleeve then?”
“Common smuggler trick. I can show it to you if you want,” he shrugged, placing a soft kiss on your chin. “Even though I doubt I can pull it off. I’m not a smuggler after all.”
“No, you definitely aren’t,” you chuckled, hands finding their way into his curls. “You’re something a lot better. You’re mine.”
Then you kissed the Mandalorian, passionetely.
Maybe also as a reward for his sabacc win.

tws // general canon violence, usage of blasters and weapons, mentions of death, minors DNI 18+ only, angst, mature content, more tags to be added later on, enemies to allies to lovers??? we shall see how it goes

Apostate!Din Djarin x Ex!Jedi!oc (no use of Y/N ) Canon Divergent - some plot changed for sake of story, the razor crest lives )
summary:
After the lost of his creed and his foundling, Din Djarin is sent spiraling into a meaningless walk of life, taking bounties upon bounties, the only thing he has left. What happens, however, when he is tasked with seeking out a bounty that once escaped him in the past, Fyra Thane? It's a task he can't refuse, being from the infamous Luke Skywalker himself. Not to bring in for a bounty, but to bring in for some greater purpose.
But Fyra Thane has taken every possible measure to protect and hide herself from both bounty hunters and jedi killers. She's seemingly disappeared into the stars. What happens when it is not a Mandalorian who finds her, but a force-sensitive foundling instead, searching for his family? An innocent child in a galaxy full of fear.
There are people who want to hurt them both, bounty hunters after their prize. Remnants of the Empire dance in shadowy whispers, hidden alleyways, eyes always watching and waiting.
And what about when the two warriors, their peoples' histories shared by war and blood, find they have more in common than what meets the eyes? When the pull between them both turns from a partnership, tentative allies at best, to something more?

I’m a Star Wars virgin lol how would u recommend I watch the films? cause omfg that mf anakin is sexy but I don’t know where to start I wanted to watch it a few weeks ago in release date form but idk
Okay if you’re watching strictly movies (called episodes):
4 (a new hope) -> 5 (empire strikes back) -> 6 (return of the Jedi) -> 1 (phantom menace), -> 2 (attack of the clones) -> 3 (revenge of the sith) -> 7 (the force awakens) -> 8 (the last jedi) -> 9 (the rise of skywalker).
Those movies are the trilogies. The original trilogy (episodes 4,5,6), the prequel trilogy (episodes 1,2,3), and the sequel trilogy (episodes 7,8,9). I highly recommend at least the originals and the prequels. The sequel series gets a lot of complaints because of some questionable writing choices, but I still do enjoy them and the actors’ performances. Those trilogies are the core of the Star Wars fandom. They are the must-sees if you want to know what people are talking about.
If you’re focused on anakin specifically, he’s the center of the prequel trilogy and also appears in a show that I’ll talk about later. Do not skip straight to his movies, watch the original trilogy first, but you don’t have too many movies to get through before you meet him.
Other movies:
Solo is a movie about Han Solo’s younger years and it takes place before episode 4, but I recommend you watch it after you watch all three trilogies in that order, as it was released after Han’s main presence in the franchise (episodes 4, 5, and 6).
Rogue one is a move that takes place directly before episode 4, and I also recommend watching that after you finish the trilogies. One of the main characters in rogue one is Cassian Andor, and he has his own spin-off series, Andor (1 season), which takes place before rogue one.
Series:
If you do want to delve into series, there are a lot 😅 I’m only going to go over the ‘main/relevant’ ones (if your favorite isn’t on this list I’m not insulting it. I’m just trying not to overload newcomers with a thousand series that don’t matter to casual fans, and will most likely focus on the newer series. This isn’t meant to start an argument.) but let it be known that I like all of the series, I just think that they aren’t always essential to a basic knowledge of the franchise. This post isn’t written as a Bible, I’m not trying to put down every series or spin-off ever made, it’s a quick and easy guide.
All of these should be watched AFTER completing the trilogies.
Star Wars: The Clone Wars is a 7-season show that takes place between episodes 2 and 3 (the last 2 of the prequel trilogy). It is consistently regarded as a fan-favorite and it gives fantastic insight into the huge gap between those movies, and helps flesh out a lot of amazing characters (pssst… you like anakin already? he’s an MC ;) ). Seriously the show is like people’s favorite Star Wars Thing ever, so if you do end up moving on from the movies and you want to watch more content, I strongly recommend it.
Obi-Wan Kenobi is a one season series centered around Obi-Wan, a character that appears in the prequel trilogy and the original trilogy. Honestly I like the plot but I really fucking love it bc he’s one of my favorite characters and also anakin is in it so if you finish the trilogies and want more of him, I think you’d like Obi-Wan. It takes place between the prequel trilogy and the original trilogy, but closer to the end of episode 3.
The Mandalorian is a three season series that takes place after the original trilogy. Din Djarin (the mandalorian himself) appears in a few episodes of The Book of Boba Fett. This show gained enormous popularity because of both Pedro pascal’s role as the MC and how much of a phenomenon ‘baby yoda’ (grogu) became, so i would honestly recommend it so that you know what people are talking about if they mention it.
those are the series I most recommend.
The Book of Boba Fett is a one season series that centers around the bounty hunter Boba Fett, who’s main presence in the franchise is in episodes 5 and 6. However, he also appears in episode 2. A lot of people really like Boba Fett as well as Din’s appearances, so I am including this series on the list. However, I don’t really think you need to watch it unless you really like him or Din lmfao.
Ahsoka is one season, currently being released over a few weeks on Disney+, and centers around Ahsoka (Anakin’s former padawan, developed in the clone wars series I mentioned before, also in the mandalorian for a short time). I am behind and I haven’t watched the two episodes that have come out yet, so I don’t know if they’re good, but that series is what’s currently coming out, so I figured I’d mention it.
Once more if you’re a seasoned fan and I didn’t include your favorite media please don’t come at me, I know I left stuff out. Hardcore Star Wars fans are fucking cutthroat and I’m not citing these as the only series ever or the only series that matter, I’m just trying to help confused people navigate the overwhelming amount of content the franchise has to offer.
I hope this helps, even if you just want to watch the movies. I also hope I didn’t overwhelm you, I really did try to narrow stuff down!

Title: Frequency Fandom: Star Wars: Skywalker Saga Genres: Sci-Fi; Action/Adventure; Enemies to Allies; Hurt/Comfort Setting: Post The Last Jedi, Pre The Rise of Skywalker Main Characters: Kylo Ren x Female Reader Chapters: 1/1 (Complete) Warnings: Mild/canon typical battle violence; mild/canon typical swearing Word Count: 2394 Summary: You are Rey's long lost sister - a powerful force wielder - and you encounter the First Order's Supreme Leader, Kylo Ren, as you both search for something on a mysterious planet.
You are almost back to your shuttle when you hear it. Blaster fire. A lot of it. It echoes round the forest clearing and bounces off the ancient, gnarled trees typical of this green planet.
Lunah Prime.
You thought there might be something here to help you in your search, something within the ancient Jedi Temple. When you finally reached they decaying structure, however, you found it desecrated, gutted of all its artefacts and worse. At some point following the Clone Wars, it had been turned into a scrapyard for Separatist battle droids.
Even dormant, they were the stuff of nightmares. They were rusty looking, mechanical limbs strewn here and there. Dead. Even so, you'd been extremely cautious as you'd stepped over each and every one as if it were a sleeping predator.
Trust the First Order to just barge in and wake them all up. And why did they have to rain on your parade?! Their timing couldn't have been worse.
Idiots you seethe under your breath.
But it's not your concern. You are nearly at your destination. You carry on through the long, damp grass, making your way back to your shuttle with purpose. When you'd arrived, this clearing had been empty. Now it there were four First Order transports resting on the meadow in a perverse juxtaposition against the natural beauty of Lunah Prime's forested landscape. You are glad you landed somewhere more discrete.
The din of the firefight is close now. You don't stop. You don't even look back. You keep marching forwards towards your goal of getting the kriff out of here.
Just under a year ago, you'd felt a strange ripple in the Force. Distant, but so clear, so full of light and hope. And so familiar. In that moment, you knew your sister was alive and that something had awakened inside her.
It was as if Rey was finally exploring her own connection to the Force. Something you'd been doing for years now. And now you felt her presence as a thread between you, connecting you, so fragile that you felt if you let go of it just for a second, you'd lose it forever. So you never did.
You doubted Rey was aware of it. She had been so young when your parents had sent you away from Jakku. You had been ten and Rey had only been three when you'd left. She probably had no memory of you at all.
You knew your parents had done it to protect you. And Rey. But the memory still stung. Still, after that incident in the market when you'd thrown that idiot boy across the street and into the animals' water trough with your mind for pulling your hair one too many times...well... Even as a child you knew your parents had little choice after that. You'd drawn far too much attention to yourself and your family. You never understood why, but you knew you were in hiding on that junkyard of a planet. You'd never seen Rey or your parents again.
Your reverie is interrupted when you realise just how loud the battle at your back has become. You can't help it. You pause to turn and look at the carnage.
Stormtroopers are sprinting from the treeline into the clearing and towards the safety of their transports. They are in full retreat and their numbers are shockingly low. Then, you see the hoard of battle droids in pursuit.
Their advance is terrifyingly constant, pace neither quickening nor slowing as they creep inexorably forwards. They are shooting the Troopers without mercy, cruel blaster bolts searing through white armour and into retreating backs.
At the rear of the retreat is a tall young man clad all in black with tousled, raven hair. He is moving backwards, a solitary figure staying the advance of the droids alone. He swings his lightsaber, a fiery blade spluttering red with fierce looking cross-guard vents, and blaster bolts ricochet off it into droids and trees alike.
Immediately, you feel his presence in the Force. His connection to it is devastatingly powerful. He is ferociously strong with the Dark Side and you know it can't be anyone other than Kylo Ren. Supreme Leader of the First Order. Usurper of Snoke's throne.
Ren must have been looking for something in that ancient Jedi Temple too.
Soon he is the only non-mechanical lifeform on the field. You feel an unwelcome flash of admiration for his valiant effort. But no one, not even Kylo Ren, can hold off an entire garrison of B1 and B2 battle droids indefinitely.
The droids continue to encroach on his position, relentless, swarming like insects. Ren is tiring, his defensive swings become laboured and clumsy. You watch with an indifference that alarms you as a blaster bolt glances off his right thigh.
Ren lets out a cry of fury and pain. He is now on the ground, crawling backwards on his bottom as he uses his lightsaber to deflect a tide of blaster bolts with an intensity only desperation can fuel.
When he can, he uses the Force to blast droids backwards at great velocity. But his strength is clearly failing. He's covered in mud and his face is spattered with blood. His long legs flail as he scrambles backwards, trying to get purchase against the sodden ground with his uninjured leg.
You know you could help him. You're not a Jedi. But you have a raw power you've never quite understood, although you know it stems from the Force. You have always used it sparingly. You find it difficult to control. It drains you and necessitates that you rest and recover. It slows you down. And you don't have time for that...
You should leave Ren. It's no more than he deserves. Momentarily, you really think you've convinced yourself that you could abandon this man to die.
Dank Farrik you swear.
You sprint over to the fallen Ren, adrenaline surging through your entire body. Within moments, you are standing above him and have conjured - for that really is the only word for it - a shield of energy around the both of you.
Innumerable blaster bolts bounce off the thrumming wall with no effect. As you face them head on, you suddenly realise how many droids there really are, and your begrudging admiration for Ren's last stand increases ten-fold.
You take a few deep breaths, squeeze your eyes shut and centre yourself.
I am one with the Force and the Force is with me. I am one with the Force and the Force is with me. I am one with the Force and the Force is with me.
You repeat the ancient Jedi mantra an wizened man once told you about on some backwater moon years ago in your head. You don't know if the old-timer was making it up or not, but you have always found that it helps to ground you, to strengthen your connection to the Force, so that it feels that is nothing else in the Galaxy but your link to it
Then, with an almighty effort, you extend both your arms out in front of you and push. You watch as your shield becomes a battering ram, sending droids flying up into the air. You hold them there, unable to stop yourself marvelling at the surreal sight of hundreds of battle droids floating, weightless in the air, before you whip your hands downwards, palms facing the ground. The droids crash down to earth with a deafening cacophony of crunching metal.
You sway on the spot but stay conscious long enough to look down at the man whose life you've just saved. Ren's face is framed with wild tendrils of black hair and, expression softened by surprise and relief, he is disarmingly handsome. He has deep set golden eyes, a strong, prominent nose and full lips.
But... why is it blurry?
You stumble again and look up at the sky, trying to catch your breath and reestablish your balance. You're so tired. You need a minute. Just a minute and you'll be fine.
And then all fades to black.
*************************************************
Ren manages to sit up just in time to catch you, a large, gloved hand cradling your head and protecting it from slamming against the ground as you fall heavily against him.
He looks up and around in complete awe at the suddenly deathly silent surroundings. Battle droids, hundreds of them, lie either still as the grave, or twitching mournfully.
How fascinating, he thinks.
He hisses in pain as he staggers to his feet with you hanging limply in his arms. He is strong and powerfully built, but it's no easy feat to carry you with his injured leg which drags behind him as he starts to make his way slowly across the blaster cratered ground and the mechanical bodies of ancient battle droids strewn here and there.
Eventually, Ren realises this would be much easier if he had at least one hand free to help him balance so he lifts you up and slings you over his shoulder instead like a sack of meiloorun fruit. A supporting arm is crossed under your backside and your head lolls against his broad back in an undignified fashion. But Ren is growing impatient and weary and there is no need to be delicate when you are unconscious.
When he finally reaches his shuttle, he has to bend down even further than normal to make sure he doesn't bash any part of you off the door frame. He lumbers through the arterial corridor of the ship to his small, sparse quarters where lays you down with surprising gentleness onto his own bed.
Ren looks down at you, brows furrowed in curiosity as he studies your peaceful face. There is something familiar about you that he can't quite place. He takes up your hand, which seems tiny in his own, and closes his eyes.
He reaches into the Force, searching. Then his scar, the one that runs down the right side of his face, the one Rey gave him on Starkiller Base as it was collapsing all around them, throbs.
Of course. Your connection with the Force resonates on that same, high frequency. You can only be her sister. Perhaps a few years older than she is. But there's no mistaking it. That same strong resolve, that drive, that courage.
Your strength in the Force is brutally raw and untamed, but perhaps even greater than that of Rey. If tempered, if trained, perhaps you and he together could...
Ren rejects the thought almost immediately after it enters his mind. The wound of Rey's rejection of his hand on Snoke's gargantuan vessel, the Supremacy, still runs deep.
He doesn't need anyone. He can't trust anyone. What he needs is to focus on finding Palpatine and ridding himself of the only threat to his power left in the Galaxy.
He wants that Sith Wayfinder to light his way to Exegol. This disaster on Lunah Prime is only a minor foot note in his route to absolute power. He is so close now. He can feel it.
As the lingering adrenaline of combat starts to fade, Ren suddenly realises how exhausted he is. He removes his gloves and places a hand against your forehead, then two fingers against your neck to check your pulse. You'll be fine, he confirms. You just need rest. Then he can decide what to do with you.
He looks around at the sparsely furnished room searching for a chair, a bench, anything for him to rest in or against. First Order transport shuttles are spartan at the best of times and this is certainly not one of those.
Defeated, Ren winces as he lowers himself to the floor. He removes his long, black cape from around his shoulders and fashions himself a makeshift, muddy pillow which he lays his head upon gratefully. He acquiesces to keep watch over you for a little while until you recover. He owes you that much.
He just needs to rest his eyes.
********************************************************
When you wake, you are lying in an unfamiliar bed in strange surroundings. At first, you are too drowsy to register much but as your consciousness starts to return, you start and sit up as you realise you are on an Imperial shuttle. You look around the functional room. It is, thankfully, empty.
Empty save for...
What is that noise?
Someone is snoring. Only gently, but you are sure of it. You look down and to your surprise, on the hard, cold durasteel floor, the Supreme Leader of the First Order is asleep.
You feel a twang of gratitude that Ren didn't just discard you there in the clearing amid the bodies and the mud with battered and broken droids. Strange how a man with such a history would still give up his bed for an injured woman. How quaint.
Still, you don't know exactly how grateful for your intervention Ren is and you don't want to wait around to find out. You remove your shoes, desperate not to make any noise, and carefully extract yourself from the bed. Boots in one hand, you step over the sleeping man and pad barefoot to the door.
"Wait."
A deep voice, quiet but commanding resonates throughout the tiny room and travels up your spine. You freeze and turn. You jump involuntarily as you realise Ren is already on his feet, only inches away. He towers over you, your forehead only coming up to his broad, solid chest.
You look up and into his amber eyes with defiance, refusing to let him see your fear. This man would be dead without you, you remind yourself. If you have to remind him of that so be it.
You wait for him to speak, but he doesn't for a long time. He is looking at you intently, his face unreadable.
"It's nothing," he says, finally. His expression seems to soften and when he speaks next it's with disarming uncertainty, "I ... hope you find what you're looking for."
"I wish I could say the same for you," you quip with more bravery than you feel.
The ghost of a smirk leaves a faint trace in the dimples of his cheeks and he nods.
You turn on your heel and stride quickly down the corridor of the First Order transport and out into the meadow where you wriggle your toes in the wet grass and inhale lungfuls of the fresh, forest air. You waste no time in locating your ship where you drop into the pilot's chair with a relieved sigh.
Now, onwards to find Rey.

I am here to ignore ✨Star Wars✨ and instead bug you with my thoughts of mandalorian Bakugo and a jedi reader who are forced to work together and everyone is kinda amused at how the two of you at first argue and bicker like the ancient enemies your kind have been for years.
But this fierce grumpy mandalorian with the black green and orange beskar armor sees how patient you are healing all his wounds. And you see how soft he is with the foundlings and how he always takes the time to show them different defense moves. And soon enough he becomes the first one to shield you with his actual armored body when you are caught off guard. And he’s the only one who calls you “shitty jedi,” is the only one allowed to call you that, because it’s the same thing he yells at when you’re wounded as he rushes to be the first by your side.
Your lightsaber, his ancient armor, a clash of two worlds you know has caught you in the middle as the force playfully tickles the back of your neck as if to say I know what’s going in. Because you know in the deepest caverns of your heart that you long for more than anything to see what color his eyes are.
(I’m sorry please swat at me with a newspaper)
Tumblr media
we should tell him he’s probably only wearing that helmet because he’s UGLY!!!! (and we’re right, because he IS!!!). also i vote that we bonk him in the head (helmet) with the butt of our lightsaber to get his attention. BONK!
are we gonna turn evil tho? 🥺 aren’t jedis not allowed to be in love or something bc they turn evil? 🥺 i don’t want to turn evil……………….. mmmm, well, maybe, but ur gonna have to sell the idea to me. 🤨
(if u are a mandalorian/starwars fan who also likes cowboys, then have you have the chance to read Keddie’s cowboy!din writings? they’re very good 😌 highly recommend)

Do u have any like baseless theories/hcs? Like complete delulu, cannot be backed up by anything just kinda would be wild if true. Mine is that dins mom was a jedi
It's not super delulu, but I firmly believe that Din's dad said "Don't be afraid" to Din before they helped him into the bunker which is why Din said the same thing to Grogu before he gave him away to Luke
