I also think it's nice that they made Camilla a sci-fi nerd and Luz a fantasy nerd. They're genres that are often seen as completely opposing one another by many people, which is what we're led to believe about Luz and Camilla in season 1. Luz is silly, nerdy, frequently in over her head and irresponsible and loves the boiling isles. We're led to believe that Camilla is the normal, conventional TV mother who'd be disgusted and terrified by the demon realm if she saw it.
Then yesterday's lie gives us a lot of nuance to this, and we realize that while they're still very different and now on opposite sides of a conflict, both mother and daughter are incredibly kind people (seen in their treatment of Vee) who love each other but struggle to make the right choices without hurting one another.
Then thanks to them drops all this Camilla characterization and we realize! She was a nerd too this whole time! The wedge between Camilla and Luz is motivated by past traumas and grief! and for the future has them switching sides on the central conflict of where Luz should stay (Camilla now wanting Luz in the demon realm because it's what's best for her, and Luz believing that staying in the human realm is what's best for the people she loves). They finally talk and realize that, like Willow pointed out earlier in the ep, the two are so alike. Camilla reveals that she's a secret nerd too! That she had a hard time growing up and accidentally hurt Luz trying to save her from the same fait! It's so important to me that Camilla keeps calling Luz a good witch. It's affirming her interests and goals, reminding her that she's just as good as the hero of her favorite story. And Luz finally only realizes that she wants to be understood...when she's finally able to understand her mom. When she realizes that the woman she loves and admires is just as much of a nerdy screw-up as her and that there's hope for her. Her palismen ends being multiple animals at once, showing both how Luz making unconventional choices (like carving an egg) keeps paying off for her and how her potential is limitless now that she finally knows and accepts her own goals, but to me it also reminds of the fact that Camilla is a vet and passed a love of all the weird and unliked animals (like wolves, possums, snakes, etc) to her.
It's just so so sweet and it really shows how much love and thought the crew put into this mother daughter storyline (FTF haters are not welcome on this page, respectfully). I can't wait to see how both of these misunderstood but healing women (who radiate "little/big sister" and "mom" energy respectively) are gonna interact with a) the lonely, easily manipulated and well intentioned but ignorant collector (a mix of both their interests as a magic being with a space motif! I just realized that lol) and b) the nasty puritan white man who's really obsessed with conforming to society's norms even when it literally doesn't benefit him at all.
Anyway, I believe in noceda( AND clawthorne 👀) family supremacy 💙

Here the thing is-
Episode 15 better fucking be 3 hours long or some shit because what the FUCK!
And if it's not, it better end with like the fucking "The Bad Batch will return" title card shit they have at the end of Marvel movies with there being an announcement for a new series that is a continuation of the Bad Batch but it maybe called something else because it doesn't only relate to the Bad Batch.
I see people saying let's get a "Tales of the Clones" and that would be great, amazing even, but seeing as the last two "Tales of the [thing]" were series comprised of two stories focused on two characters (and backstories at that) I don't really see it working out well in tying things up in Bad Batch.
If anything, maybe it'll work, but if they do a "Tales of the Clones" I do hope it follows Rex leading some kind of clone rebellion or something and then also Cody and seeing him go to Tatooine to find Obi-Wan.
Even better? We get "Tales of the Clones" AND an additional other clone show that ties up everything in the Bad Batch.
Hahaha....right? Not like Star Wars would let us down, right? They totally would give the fans what they want instead of what they think they want, right? Right?
I say all of this as I put on my clown wig, nose, and shoes.

Slightly Bitter
It's been over 24 hours now and I seem to have transitioned from denial into anger. 😅 Not incredibly pissed off or anything, but a little bit jaded.
I said early on in the season that I didn't want them to give Tech all of this character development only to kill him off straight away; it's cheap storytelling. And that's part of why I don't think that he's dead. It would be a bad narrative decision if he was. And me not believing that he was dead helped me accept this part of the story.
HOWEVER, having a few hours to sit on it, actually getting some sleep, and then crying about it again this morning seems to have cleared my head enough to take this all in and... I'm not totally happy with it. Okay, we don't think that Tech is dead, but him being dead is what the writers want us to think. And that's why I think that it all still feels a little cheap.
Even if he isn't gone, it still feels like they gave Tech so much focus this season just for the purpose of getting a stronger reaction out of us. They wanted us to get more attached to this character so that they could make us even more sad over a supposed death that doesn't even make sense narratively.
It's a level of emotional manipulation with the audience that doesn't sit right with me.
I don't hate this moment and I do think that a lot of it is because I don't truly believe that he's dead, and that Tech sacrificing himself is something that I can see him doing, but the fact that they want us to believe that him dying is what happened is why it's rubbing me the wrong way. Had he had more character development in S1, then I don't think it would bother me as much, but because it's so heavily focused in season 2, it feels too manipulative.
Characters shouldn't be given development purely for the reason of getting a stronger reaction over their death.

Hey, what if that assassin clone(I legit thought he was Crosshair at first) wasn't doing that of his own choice and had some extreme conditioning to make him willing to do all that and commit suicide for it, like, Rex did say some of the problematic ones disappear instead of get killed, so, what if that's what happens to them.
And then my mind immediately went to Echo, he's more on his own now, less protected and with all that interfacing cybernetics, he could be easier to reprogram like this
You know where I'm going from here
He gets sent after bad batch and they have to fight him now and a, kill him themselved, b, let him commit suicide, or c, somehow get the suicide thing out and find a way to fix it.
AndAnd I just had a really sad scene play out in my head where Omega had to kill Echo cause he was about to kill all of them, or had, and she was the only one left standing and after she shot him he thanked her cause it's over and I legit cried.
The reprogam send after bb could also work with Crosshair or Cody, but yeah, my mind went to Echo.
Also anyone else keep thinking of cute purple cats with Riyo's new hairstyle? The little ponytail was like a tail and the other bits were cute ears. I also loved Omega's I'm gonna bite you face to rampart.
🤞Echo stays okay and the bad batch can all join up together and be a big happy family and no one fucking dies because nooooooo! Let there be some happiness in Star Wars, just 1 happy space fam, that's all I ask!
You're welcome for the new nightmares!

not to go against my demi-romanticism or anything, not even to put myself in a 1950s kind of fairy tale as a maiden in distress or anything, but I think having a boyfriend would fix me. just like, I'd be cured. of everything. just pick me up.
i think that would fix me

// nobody can tell me the people magazine wouldn’t have given Captain America the sexiest man alive title at some point
also, Steve would be super embarrassed up until the point that he realizes that Tony Stark is absolutely fucking jealous –– then he fucking embraces that title like the asshole that he is

its actually insane to me whenever i see a post that's like "zoomers can't do [basic tech thing]" bc i know that a lot of my peers genuinely do struggle with that but i'm also like. y'all don't know how to do this? like its probably bc my parents have been involved in ed tech for a long time on-and-off and my dad especially tries to teach me most, like, computer survival basics, but it genuinely does baffle me that people like. don't know where to find files on their computer and stuff.

I plan to do a rewatch of TBB (probably both seasons) so that I can get a full look at how these episodes all work together. But I'm not sure if I can do it. 🥲
I want the happy family vibes but I also don't know if watching those is just gonna make me more miserable. 😭
