I am VERY intrigued by the Lukagami fake marriage??
And if it's okay to ask about more than one, Classroom Wedding sounds like it will be full of shenanigans...
Sure you can!
Okay, so: Lukagami fake marriage
Simple synopsis is that Tomoe has decided that she's had enough of Paris/Gabriel/akuma attacks/Kagami's rebellion... you name it, and she's moving back to Japan and is trying to force Kagami to go back with her.
Thing is, Kagami is of age (this is an aged-up au btw) and so she lies to her mother and tells her that she can't be forced to go back to Japan because she's married to Luka. When Tomoe asks what ever happened to Kagami's relationship with Adrien, she says that they broke up amicably and Adrien's now dating Marinette [they're not, but right after the confrontation Kagami messages them both asking them to back her up if they're ever asked]. And Luka's chill, so he'll play along.
So then shenanigans and we have Lukagami with Adrienette on the side.
Classroom Wedding
"Basically I want a goofy class and a dorky Adrienette being domestic and cute and ridiculous" was the idea XD
I thought it'd be cute if there was some sort of scenario where the class is mucking around and then through some lighthearted teasing and whatever, they get a bit carried away and “marry” Adrien and Marinette for fun. They’re joking but they do the whole thing with faux seriousness and it’s a little ridiculous but it’s fun, and then it becomes a running thing from that point on where they’ll call them husband and wife and if there’s partner work, Adrien immediately takes Marinette’s hand and is like “I can think of no better person to do this assessment with than my lovely wife” and vice versa, or if one of them mentions being ever so slightly ill, the classmates summon their “partner” as though it’s life or death and they come racing, or-
And I pondered on which dynamic (pre- pre-; prpr; post-reveal established relationship) would be best before thinking how funny it'd be if it was pre-reveal pre-relationship - they’re getting up to all these lovey-dovey shenanigans and have no idea that they love each other or that they’re each other’s superhero partner. Then imagine they carry on these shenanigans into the Ladynoir dynamic, both saying they’re “married” to their best friend, and since it happened to both of them, they don’t question it and assume there’s some sort of popular internet trend or something, and so when the reporters ask, they’re both like “we’re married to other people, my hero partner is truly my best friend”
And then shenanigans when they take the joke too seriously (but in a fun way), like they got rings for one another: all the boys took out Adrien to look for a ring for Marinette while the girls took her out for a ring to get Adrien, but they all bump into each other at the shops and have to pretend that they’re not doing what they’re actually doing because they wanted it to be a surprise for the other
Silly fluffy shenanigans with the class and Adrienette is all I want, and I don't think I've seen enough of this kind of content, so I'm like "well, maybe I'll write my own, idk"
If anyone has class shenanigans to contribute to this idea, lemme know!

Rating: Teens and Up (literally for one minor curse word but they wouldn’t allow the show to say it so. I guess it makes it a higher rating?)
Relationship: Ladynoir
What to expect: Fluff, Ladynoir July prompts 17. Roses, 25. In the Rain, and 26. Oh…oh.
Summary: Marinette was absolutely screwed. She’d tried to forget about how he’d looked when he took her hand to help her up. She’d tried to forget the way her heart skipped a beat and the way she couldn’t stop staring at him. She’d tried to forget whatever little flip her heart did when he pulled her into a hug. (The first time she remembered him pulling her into a hug and not the other way around.) She couldn’t do it. No matter what she did, she just… couldn’t. (OR: What if Marinette couldn’t stop thinking about Chat Noir after the s4 finale? What if she decided to do something about it?)
A/N: This was written for @ladynoirjuly
(continue reading here or on AO3!)
Marinette was freaking out. Sitting on her bed after the battle that lost all of the miraculous to Monarch, her mind was spinning. So much had happened in such a short amount of time. Two weeks later, her mind was still buzzing. She felt…a lot of things. Guilt for losing the kwamis, hurt from the betrayal of Felix, and confused about her feelings for her partner.
Marinette plopped back down onto her back and stared up at the ceiling. She’d said no more boys and no more romance. She’d promised herself not to do that again. But then Chat Noir was there for her, he picked her back up, not at all upset with her, and he reassured her that everything would be alright and… she couldn’t help it, her heart had skipped a beat.
She groaned, her hands dragging down her face as she felt her cheeks heat up again. She was able to go for most of their partnership without thinking about Chat Noir in a romantic manner. Any time she felt herself smile a little softer than normal, any time she felt affection for him expand in her chest, any time she couldn’t get his dorky little jokes out of her head — she’d shut down whatever she was feeling before it could develop into anything more than friendship. Marinette cherished her friendship with Chat Noir a lot, but sometimes it was hard not to fall for him when he’d look at her like she hung the stars in the sky.
And now? Marinette was absolutely screwed.
It didn’t help that they’d patrol on most days, waiting for Monarch to strike. She’d find herself staring for a little too long at the way the sun filtered through his hair at golden hour, find herself getting lost in his grin after some pun he’d made to lift her spirits. It wasn’t fair how pretty he was. It really, really wasn’t.
They were spending a lot more time together not fighting. Usually the time they spent together was battling an akuma and some brief patrols. But now, they were playing cards together, cracking jokes, people watching, and turning patrols into hangouts. Monarch wasn’t attacking, and, as the days went by, she just got more anxious that he was planning something big. Despite it all, Marinette couldn’t help but fall a little harder for Chat Noir every time they met up.
“Tikki,” Marinette whined, “what am I gonna do?” She wanted to do something about her feelings. It was stupid, and she knew it, but maybe it would help her.
Maybe if Marinette just got her feelings off her chest, then she could move on. Besides, Chat Noir had stopped getting her red roses. Maybe he’d moved on. Maybe she could tell him how she felt, he’d let her down gently, and then she could move on and they could continue being just…partners. Which was fine! She was totally fine with that. Completely fine with it.
The only problem was, she didn’t know how she could confess her feelings. Simply going up to him and telling him scared her. She was never able to confess to Adrien that way, and her complicated plans never worked either. So, what could she change so that it would?
Marinette stared at the ceiling for some time, trying to think of something that could work. Abruptly, she sat up straight, “That’s it! I’ve got it!”
Tikki stopped nibbling on her macaron, “What is it?”
Marinette simply grinned, leaping down the ladder from her bed loft. She stumbled as she landed on the ground, then quickly scrambled to regain her balance. She then grabbed her bag and ran down stairs, birding a quick goodbye to her parents. She had things to do.
————
Chat Noir sighed, staring at the clouds above him. They were dark and gray, signaling possible rain. Did that mean patrol would be canceled? He hoped not. He really enjoyed getting to spend time with Ladybug when they weren’t fighting an akuma. Sure, the most they would be was friends, but he would take that over not knowing her at all.
His cat ear flicked as her heard her land on the rooftop behind him. Chat turned around, finding Ladybug standing a little awkwardly with her hands behind her back, almost as though she was… shy? No, that couldn’t be right. Why would Ladybug be shy around him?
“Well, hello there, my lady,” he said lightly, standing up to greet her. He would usually take her hand and kiss the back of it but. Well. Her hands were behind her back so he really couldn’t do that. Wait. Was that what she wanted to tell him? Did she find it annoying or uncomfortable when he kissed her hand? Was that why she was acting a bit weirdly?
“Hello, Chat Noir,” she replied with a small smile. Ok, that was way too formal. It almost seemed like she was trying to be polite. There was definitely something on her mind. He was about to ask her what was going on when she continued, “I, um. I have something for you?” It sounded more like a question than a statement.
“Oh, cool,” he hummed, trying to act nonchalant and not like he was trying to figure out why she was acting so weird. They’d been getting much closer and much more familiar with each other. They were rarely ever awkward around each other. Why was she acting so different all of the sudden?
(The way she was acting felt familiar, not to her, but to someone else. Something at the back of his mind seemed close to figuring something out, but it went away as soon as he tried to understand it. Maybe it was best not to think too much of it.)
Slowly, she brought her hands back around to her front, holding out one hand toward him to present a red rose. “This is for you,” she murmured.
Chat Noir blinked. Then blinked again. That was a red rose. The same kind that he’d get her whenever he’d confess his love for her. Did she know what it meant? Surely, she did, right? He’d told her before. “Ladybug… you know what this rose means, right?” He just wanted to double check. He didn’t want to get his hopes up.
Above him, the sky crackled as little drops of rain began to fall. Ladybug nodded, somehow even more shy than before, a pretty crimson blush peeking out from beneath her mask. “Yes, I know what it means.” Thunder struck behind her in the distance as the realization hit him that Ladybug was being completely serious.
Oh. Oh.
She loved him. Ladybug loved him. She loved him!
Gently, Chat Noir took the rose from Ladybug’s hand, then took her other hand to lead her to a part of the roof that was under a balcony. The rain was coming down pretty hard at that point, so it was nice to be in a dry spot.
“Ladybug,” Chat Noir murmured softly, tenderly, “I love you, too.”
Ladybug’s pretty blue eyes widened and Chat Noir found himself getting lost in them. “You do? I thought… you stopped giving me the roses so I…”
“Well, I thought you wanted me to lay off on all that, right? I didn’t want to make you any more uncomfortable than I might have,” he explained.
“Oh,” she smiled — and gosh. Did she know how pretty she was? He had to tell her — “That’s very sweet of you.”
Now it was his turn to blush as Ladybug leaned in and placed a gentle kiss on his cheek. She giggled at his blush and wide eyes and all he wanted to do was make her giggle again. She had the most beautiful laugh.
Chat Noir wanted to kiss her. He wanted to kiss her so badly. But that would be moving too fast, wouldn’t it? He’s wanted to kiss her for so long, but he didn’t want to push her. Instead, he tenderly brushed her fringe to the side and placed a kiss on her forehead. He grinned when he heard her gasp, pulling back to look at her somehow even more flushed face.
“It’s not fair,” Ladybug grumbled, her bottom lip jutting out in a cute pout. Chat Noir pushed down the urge to kiss it away.
Instead, he asked, “What’s not fair?”
Her blue eyes pierced his own, holding him in place. “How pretty you are.”
His heart stuttered. Oh, she was totally trying to kill him. Deciding to be playfully dramatic, he clutched at his heart and leaned back into the wall behind him. “My lady,” he gasped, “you can’t say such things and expect my heart to handle it.” He glanced back at her and winked, chest swelling with pride as she giggled yet again.
“You’re such a dork.”
“I can be your dork.” If you’ll have me, he thought, leaving that unspoken.
Ladybug’s smile softened, “I’d like that.” Wait, what? Chat Noir was definitely not expecting that. He was expecting a sigh and for her to explain yet again how dangerous it would be. “But,” she continued slowly, and he thought that surely now she would tell him it was a bad idea, “it would have to be discreet. We can’t exactly go around flaunting our weakness to Shadow Moth or whatever he wants to call himself now.”
“I can totally do discreet,” he told her, earning himself an eyebrow raise.
“Yeah, right, Mr. Professing-his-love-every-week.” Now it was his turn to pout. However, the pout quickly went away when Ladybug gently thread her fingers through his, squeezing his hand lightly. “You can do that all you want… just, maybe not in front of all of Paris.”
Slowly, an idea formed in his mind. “I think I’ll tell the whole world, actually,” he said with a smile so wide his cheeks began to hurt a little. He probably looked like the cheshire cat.
“Chat—“
He leaned in, face merely centimeters away from hers, and whispered, “I love you.”
He delighted in the way she blushed again at the proximity and sputtered, “That’s—That’s not telling the whole word.”
“You’re wrong,” he drawled, “because you’re my whole world.” He’d been wanting to use that line for so long. Maybe that made him a giant dork, but that had somehow worked because Ladybug loved him.
“Chat,” Ladybug groaned, burying her face in his chest. (She would definitely hear the way his heart picked up speed.) “You can’t just say things like that.” He simply chuckled lightly, wrapping his arms around her in a hug.
They stood like that for a few moments, the rain dropping on the balcony above them providing a nice ambiance. It was nice, he decided, to just hold her and feel the warmth of her arms around him. (He didn’t get very many hugs at home. Not anymore.) After some time, Ladybug pulled back enough to look up at him, something determined in her features.
“I’m going to plan a nice date for us,” she said, “Something to make up for the time I had been busy and then Andre the ice cream man got akumatized.”
“You don’t have to—“
“I want to,” she insisted.
Affection for her expanded in his chest, “Then I’d love that.”
Her eyes softened as she smiled back at him, though they quickly widened. “Shit,” she muttered, “I forgot to—“ She cut herself off and he knew then that whatever it was, she couldn’t tell him for identity reasons. “I’m sorry,” she sighed, “I have to go.”
But instead of leaving right away, she hesitated. Once again, there was something determined in her eyes, like she was in the middle of a battle and figuring out her lucky charm. Slowly, she rose to her toes, keeping her balance by placing her hands on his shoulders.
Ladybug inched closer, stopping right before their lips brushed. For two slow, agonizing seconds, the two of them held their breath. Then, Chat Noir leaned in, his lips brushing against hers. Ladybug leaned in further, pressing her soft, warm lips more incessantly against his. The kiss was better than he’d ever imagined. When they broke away, he was quite literally breathless.
“I’ll see you later, chaton,” Ladybug breathed, cheeks delightfully flushed. Then she was swinging away, leaving him with his heart beat thundering in his ears.
Chat Noir leaned back against the wall behind him again, this time sliding along it until he was sitting down on the rooftop. He almost wanted to pinch himself to make sure he wasn’t dreaming. He opted for a light smack to his cheek, which he definitely felt.
He grinned, probably looking all lovestruck and dopey as he got up. The rain had finally stopped, he noted absentmindedly. In fact, the sun was shining bright as the sun began to set, reflecting his very bright and cheery mood. As he headed home, he felt that nothing could wipe the smile on his face. That day was most definitely one of the best of his life, one he’d been waiting for and one he’d most definitely remember.

Miraculous Awakening Thoughts
So now that I've actually had time to digest (and re-ingest and re-digest) the miraculous ladybug movie I want to gush out about what I did and didn't like. Spoilers below the break.
WHAT I LOVED
Marinette's lack of having it together in the beginning and having the anxiety about messing up because she kind of is a disaster was a great starting point for her character in this movie.
Gabriel Agreste got a lot of improvement. Outright evil to morally gray, actually behaving like a fashion designer and not just a big business man, using his miraculous taking a serious toll on him, those fucking pipes of his...I could go on, but I like this condensed but complicated villain more than the series. Especially at the end where he faces actual consequences and doesn't get to peace out on his terms.
The Ladynoir development, which was clearly the main focus of the movie, felt a lot more fun even when it was being condensed (rushed?) for the sake of time. I've seen a lot of critique of how LB and CN don't just spend more time hanging out and goofing off with each other and seeing them do just that felt great, especially when they have their teasing nicknames for each other and you get to see them grow from insufferable rivals to best friends and more.
Adrien having more of a spine in the movie than in the series felt good. Him telling off his father was a satisfying moment, and his frustration evolving into anger in the final fight felt natural.
I like that Tikki and Plagg chose their holders instead of having their holders chosen for them. Sure Adrien didn't get a Master Fu moment that showed his worth to Plagg, but Tikki basically seeing Marinette do her thing and going "yeah i want her" before slipping into her backpack seemed more earnest.
Speaking of Tikki: she has SO MUCH MORE SASS and I love it. I've always loved Tikki and how sweet she is with Marinette, but now having that extra layer of vibrant energy was a great touch. Especially when Marinette tries to ditch her, Tikki shouts "YOU D-", and then just pops back in. Also the shameless shipping gestures. Love her.
THE FINALE REVEAL, AAAAGH IT MADE ME FEEL SO MUCH STUFF. Putting aside just how gorgeous that dress is, that emotional climax of the two lovebirds finally knowing each other and getting to be together without any secrets felt amazing. Adrien crying tears of joy felt perfect in that scene.
"Stronger Together" is probably the best song I've heard in a musical movie in a very, very long time.
Marinette's dad getting more screentime and focus was great, even if it only happened for two scenes.
All the little nods of how the two heroes are made for each other: the beginning intro, all the photos on Alya's phone, the back-and-forth scene cuts where they're talking opposites about each other, how dorky the two really are...soup for the soul.
Special shout-out to the thumbs-up scene for making me laugh harder than it really should have.
Second shout-out for Careless Whisper being used correctly in both the ironic and unironic senses.
WHAT I DIDN'T LOVE
Poor, poor Plagg: most of his subtle points and nuance just got tossed out the window just so he could become fart jokes?! Why?! Granted the cheese was going to be a thing, but...man, where's the rest of his character? The friendly chats with Adrien? The glimpse of his relationship with Tikki?
Why didn't Ladybug have Lucky Charm or Miraculous Ladybug during the second fight onward? Okay she wouldn't have either during the first fight, but we don't get to see her unique thinking process with weird items or see her repair the damage of all those fights, which is an under-utilized quality in superhero media these days.
The Adrienette angle of the love square didn't get the proper exploration it needed, and while I realize there wasn't enough time to fully do it justice it would have been nice to see Adrien also have a moment or two where he's starting to see Marinette in a different light and having the same conflict that Marinette had over Adrien vs CN.
The final battle didn't feel quite epic enough, and it's clear there wasn't enough time to do it properly. I would have added a few minutes more where LB and CN actually get their act together and make a bigger dent in HM before they get curbstomped, at least.
The Volkswagen product placement was jarring, and the heroes being there to endorse the cars under the Eiffel Tower felt out of character for a couple of teenagers who are taking a relative serious duty. They're teens, but they're not out for fame or fortune.
Nathalie was waaay under-utilized, but again I get that this was probably because of lack of time, which is a shame.
There's probably SO MUCH MORE I could take apart, but I should probably stop here. Suffice to say: I love this movie, it's a solid 9/10, and I can't wait for the next one in this specific universe.

Ok mini Miraculous rant coming right up
The thing that slightly annoys me about canon is that Adrienette, honestly, isn't healthy. They can be! I'm rooting for them! But if we think of them as a real relationship and not just kid's show romance, Marinette in that one episode was right! She really doesn't know Adrien that well! That's why in fanfics she learns more about him first! Like, his mom and how he feels about her 'disappearance'/death. Or how his dad treats him and how conflicted that makes him feel. Or how his schedule is oppressive, or he really doesn't like modeling all that much (which she does learn in the show! eventually! good job ML!), or how worried he is about Nathalie getting sick (I mean... she does hear about it once but she never follows up? Like, that whole arc kinda gets dropped? that would've been such a good opportunity for her to start reaching out!)
i guess it's possible that they got really close, because they act like they know each other inside and out in a couple scenes (could be the ladynoir magic showing through idk). and ofc there's that scene where they literally ft each other as soon as they wake up and he's making sure she doesn't fall and he's making her laugh and it's adorable and dorky and stupid and cute. so it's POSSIBLE they have a stronger relationship offscreen. but i wish the show didn't rely so much on the soulmate magic because except for the couple scenes where they really relied on each other it felt just a little bit... shallow? Like ok we made it! We're dating!... That's it! Idk
I love the show don't get me wrong and them dating is FREAKING ADORABLE I just wanted to see more of them being lowkey besties and goofing off before Adrien's traumatization arc started-- but that's what fanfics are for :)
also marinette not going after Adrien when his dad sent him to London broke my heart because that's what the Marinette Adrien fell in love with would do for sure (not to mention Ladybug)
and Chadrien would fly across the ocean for her in a heartbeat
but between Ephemeral and Chat Blanc and the other couple times her being Ladybug for personal gain she knows she can't risk going after him even though I'm sure she wants to and she must feel SO DANG HELPLESS because she's ALWAYS the one with the impossible plan and she's ALWAYS the one who makes it happen-- and if she was just Ladybug she could do it and if she was just Marinette she could do it too (although it would be a lot more complicated potentially, when has that ever stopped out disaster child) but she's BOTH and the CONFLICTING INTERESTS--
and then Chat Noir tells her he's gonna be gone for a while and she realizes she can't leave the city she's sworn to protect for anything, even Adrien, because she's a hero and that's what heroes do and if she's not a hero what is she???
whoooo anyway
TL;DR current Adrienette is breaking my heart and I'm scared for Season 6

Chapter 3
“Evening, m’lady. Miss me?”
Ladybug rolled her eyes at Chat Noir’s flirtatious lilt. He leaned in mere centimeters from her face with an impish grin, green eyes sparkling with their usual mischief. Pushing his nose away with a smirk, Ladybug cocked a hip.
“Kind of hard to miss you when you never leave me alone.” She slid open her bug phone, swiping through dozens of texts, selfies, and memes.
“I can’t help it. You’re always on my mind.” He leaned against his staff with a sigh. “I want it to feel like we’re always together, even when we’re apart.”
“I think I could stand to miss you more,” she said.
“Me-owch! Don’t you think about me at all when we’re not together?” he asked.
Ladybug flicked his bell with a smile. “I do miss that dorky grin of yours sometimes. The bad puns I could do without, though.” She crossed her arms over her chest. “Though, I’ve been seeing a lot of you on the internet lately. You started helping that baker girl with her blog.”
“Yeah, but don’t worry, buginette. It’s strictly purrfessional This cat only has eyes for you.” He kissed her hand. “But who knows? Maybe if her blog takes off, you’ll be seeing my face on every billboard in town. Wouldn’t that be a dream?”
“More like a nightmare.” She teased. “But I’m sure your little fangirls would love it.”
“Don’t be jealous just because I have more fans than you,” Chat Noir said. “It’s only natural. Everyone knows cats rule the internet.”
“Speaking of the internet, you wanna tell me why #LadyNoir was trending the other day?” Ladybug quirked a brow.
“Oh, uh… I don’t know what that was about. LadyNoir? What’s that? A musical group? Anyway, I’ve never heard that term in my life!” Chat Noir backed away with a sheepish wince. “I think I hear distressed citizens in need of our help! We should probably get on with our patrol. Crime isn’t going to stop itself, ya know.”
Ladybug shook her head as he vaulted off. What was she going to do with that mischievous cat?
***
The following evening, Marinette hummed while putting the finishing touches on her latest design. Activity on her blog was still on the rise, so she was doing her best to keep up with demand. After all, Chat Noir was kind enough to help get her name out there. She didn’t want to waste the opportunity to show off her work to her new audience and risk losing everything.
“Knock, knock!” Alya called, sticking her head through the skylight.
Marinette rolled away from her sewing machine, tilting her head to the side. Her bff crawled down, followed by Chat Noir.
“We just got done filming a new video for my blog, and we thought we’d pop over,” Alya said.
“Alya gave me a lot of advice on how to sweep Ladybug off her feet, so I gave her a ride here.” Chat Noir fastened his baton back to his belt.
“Yeah, no offense, but I think I’ll walk next time. Traveling by staff is terrifying, and the wind is not nice to my hair.” Alya ran her fingers through her windblown curls. “I don’t know how you do it.”
“I have a really good conditioner.” He shrugged. “And my hair is magic. I’m like a Disney Princess.”
“Don’t you mean Disney Prince?” Marinette asked.
“Uh, does Prince Charming have magic hair?” Chat Noir crossed his arms over his chest. “Didn’t think so.”
“Anyway, what do you have for Rapunzel to model tonight?” Alya asked.
“Actually, I’m running out of stuff he can wear over his suit,” Marinette said. “Everything I have left will just look clunky.”
“So, design some more stuff I can wear over it,” he said.
“Well…” Marinette pursed her lips, flicking her gaze to her most recent post pulled up on the computer monitor. “The point of getting you to model for me was to bring more attention to my blog. Now, it’s so popular, and I really want to show off more of my work.”
“Hmm.” Alya surveyed the shirt in Marinette’s sewing machine, drumming her fingers. “What if he wasn’t wearing the suit?”
“Alya, the suit’s made of magic. He can’t take it off,” Marinette said.
“Marinette’s right. It’s like a second skin. The zipper’s just for show.” Chat Noir tugged on it as proof.
“So, just change back to a civilian, and-”
“Are you crazy? He can’t detransform! We’ll find out his identity.” Marinette shook her head.
“Uh, yeah, that’s kind of an important secret for me to keep.” Chat Noir agreed.
“I’m not saying he has to reveal his identity!” Alya rolled her eyes. “What if you made him a black mask to wear along with the outfits? That way he can detransform to model the clothes properly while still keeping his secret identity.”
“That-” Marinette opened her mouth to protest but paused.
Pacing the length of her room, she chewed her nails. It was an option. If anything happened, he could always just transform again in an instant… What was she thinking? She couldn’t ask him to detransform! No, absolutely not. Out of the question! No way! No-
“That could work,” Chat Noir said.
“No!” Marinette blurted.
“Come on, M. There’s zero risk, and he’ll be able to model everything the way it’s supposed to be,” Alya said. “People are really into all of your Chat Noir posts. You can’t stop now. Trust me, girl, the internet is so fickle. If you stop posting pictures with him, your hit count is going to take a nosedive.”
Marinette rubbed her temple with a sigh. If Chat Noir was willing to do it, then she supposed there was no reason not to. Making a mask would only take a few minutes, and she did have quite a bit of black fabric…
Alya clapped when Marinette flopped back in her rolling chair and set to work. Although her stomach twisted in knots at the thought of Chat Noir detransforming in her room, she kept working, reminding herself that everything would be fine. It wasn’t like she was going to learn who he was, though she would have to keep Alya from peeking.
When the mask was complete, Chat Noir disappeared behind the folding screen, and green light briefly lit the room. Marinette chewed her nails while he changed, nearly calling the whole thing off twice. What kind of partner would she be if she discovered his identity on accident? Would she have to tell him she knew? How would she explain how she found out without revealing her own identity? Would it be right to keep her identity at that point? Why did she let Alya talk her into this? What was taking him so long?
“O M G!”
Marinette jumped at Alya’s exclamation when Chat Noir reappeared from behind the curtain. He flashed her a perfect smile, his usual cat-like sclera replaced with two normal green eyes. She’d never thought about what his eyes looked like under the suit. His hair was shorter too — he wasn’t kidding about the Disney Princess thing. That jawline looked familiar. She could have sworn she’d seen-
Ugh! What was she doing? She never should have agreed to let him detransform! She was going to be up all night studying the photos trying to figure out his identity. No! No, she wasn’t. She’d resist. She had to for the sake of Paris. If she found out who he was, then she’d have no choice but to tell him who she was. News would inevitably get out and make its way back to Hawkmoth, and they’d all be doomed. She could do this. Absolutely no thinking about who the boy in front of her could possibly be.
“So,” he drawled. “What do you think?”
Marinette blinked, cheeks flushing. How long had she been staring at him?
“Uh, it’s great!” She bit her lip, forcing her eyes to stare directly at the center of his nose instead of tracing every line of his face. He was Chat Noir, her goofy little cat boy, and nothing else. Although, with just the mask on he was more boy than cat, which was probably adding to her curiosity. “Actually… hang on.”
Marinette returned to her sewing machine, crafting a set of cat ears that she fastened into his hair. Pursing her lips, she stepped back to assess her work. Black mask plus ears equaled Chat Noir. Not some mysterious civilian boy she may or may not know. Chat Noir. Just Chat Noir.
“Aww, that’s cute,” Alya giggled.
“Aren’t I always?” Chat Noir winked.
“Down, boy. Remember what we talked about? Ladybug isn’t into the Casanova types.” Alya gave him a warning look.
“Oh, right. Sorry!”
Marinette rolled her eyes. “Okay, we’ve already spent enough time getting ready, so let’s get this shoot over with and let Chat Noir transform back.”
“I’m not in any rush. Your clothes are way comfier than my suit. The fabric you used is super soft.” He ran his hands down the shirt. “Besides, you can’t rush perfection. I want the photos for your blog to be top clawlity just like your designs.”
“How sweet of you,” Marinette said through clenched teeth. As much as she appreciated his dedication to helping her blog, she needed him to hurry up.
Too nervous to do it herself, Marinette let Alya take the photos, opting to hold the light instead. She kept her eyes glued to the mask, but to her relief, it didn’t budge. Chat Noir took the perfect photos, and after what felt like forever, he finally retreated behind the screen to change again.
Marinette breathed out, relaxing her shoulders until a black blob flashed in her periphery and helped himself to the cheese danishes. Oh no! She’d forgotten about Plagg. What was he doing? He should be staying hidden!
“Whoa, no way! You must be Chat Noir’s kwami!” Alya pushed past Marinette to crouch beside the plate on the desk. She turned over her shoulder and added, “Kwamis are what give Ladybug and Chat Noir their superpowers.”
Of course, Alya knew what kwamis were, but Marinette wasn’t supposed to. Plagg crossed his arms over his chest as if waiting to see her reaction. Ugh, he could be just as annoying as his master.
“Wow!” Marinette gasped. “He’s like a little kitten. So cute.” And so not supposed to be out in the open.
Plagg shot her a smug grin. “It’s true. Chat Noir gets his handsome physique and swagger from me.” He flexed a tiny arm. “It’s a shame we kwamis don’t show up on camera. If everyone got to bask in my glory, your blog would have way more hits.”
“Don’t hold your breath on that one, buddy,” Chat Noir called from behind the screen.
“Aww, I think he’s adorable.” Alya scratched under his chin. “You can eat all the cheese danishes you want.”
“Don’t tell him that, or he will,” Chat Noir sighed. “Then the world will have a cheese shortage.”
“I think there’s a me shortage. Do you know how many cheeses there are in the world right now? It’s a crime I only have one mouth.” He crossed his arms over his chest with a huff.
Marinette and Alya giggled as he stuffed his face. He shoved the last bite down his gullet as Chat Noir called him back into the ring.
“Sorry about Plagg.” Chat Noir rolled his eyes as he stepped out from behind the screen.
“Are you kidding? I got to see and talk to a kwami up close!” Alya bounced with glee. “Do you think he’d let me interview him if I bring him cheese?”
“Absolutely not!” Marinette chided. At Chat Noir and Alya’s curious expressions, Marinette curled her shoulders. “Uh, well, I mean, wouldn’t it be dangerous to put out information on his kwami like that? What if Hawkmoth saw it and got some kind of advantage?”
“I’m not gonna post about it. I just have some questions.” Alya assured her.
“Trust me, he’ll do anything for cheese,” Chat Noir said.
She never should have let him detransform. If anyone was going to weasel their way into finding out Chat Noir’s true identity, it was Alya. Marinette would have to listen to her conspiracy theories on it for weeks. Was it too late to fire him?
“I can’t wait to see how the photos turn out, Marinette.”
She blinked, wiping the nails she’d been chewing on her jeans. “Oh, y-yeah. Thanks so much for agreeing to help. I never would have gotten this far without you.”
“Nah, that’s not true. I just helped you get there faster, but you would have drawn in a crowd eventually with how talented you are,” he said.
Marinette smiled and stretched up to kiss both of his cheeks. “Thanks, Chat Noir.”
“Need a ride home?” He turned to Alya and offered her a hand.
She shook her head. “Nu-uh. Not again. I’m gonna stay here and help Marinette go through the photos, then I’ll use my legs to get home.”
“Suit yourself.” Chat Noir opened the window and sat on the ledge. “I can’t wait to see what you design for me to wear next, Marinette. See you tomorrow!” He gave a two finger wave and leaned back out the window, vaulting off through the rooftops.
“Show off,” Marinette muttered, biting back a smirk. She closed the window and breathed a sigh of relief.
“Ya know,” Alya said. “He looks kind of familiar, don’t you think?”
Marinette turned to find Alya clicking through the photos on her computer.
“No!” Marinette crossed the room in three long strides, swiveling her friend’s chair to face her. “And neither do you. We can’t speculate about his identity! That’s not why we’re here, and it would be a total invasion of his privacy.”
Alya threw her head back with a groan.
“Promise me you won’t snoop.” Marinette held out her pinky.
Alya pursed her lips, nevertheless, twining their fingers together. “Fine. I won’t speculate or pry. I have my own theories anyway.”
“Alya-”
“Alright, fine! I’ll shelf the topic for now.” When Marinette continued to glare, she crossed her arms over her chest with a sigh. “Okay, I won’t snoop period. Happy?”
“Yes.” Marinette nodded.
Her best friend drummed her fingers. “But seriously though, doesn’t he look really famili-”
“Alya!”

‘Introducing me’ from Camp Rock 2 is the perfect musical representation of post-reveal adrienette.
exhibit a: sudden reintroduction to someone who has asserted they “don’t know you” despite a long secret romance = marinette’s fears of adrien not being good enough for her
exhibit b: adrien is a major dork and needs to align his chat persona with his model persona through punny means
exhibit c: “i eat cheese, but only on pizza, please” “otherwise it smells like feet to me” = plagg

9 Very Specific Things I'd love to see in Miraculous Season 5
Disclaimer: these are strictly my personal opinions, and obviously spoilers for the S4 Finale: Strike Back are below...
1. Everything L A D Y N O I R
Oops, not very specific, but there's sooooo much to unpack now that we're back to the cat and bug team. They have to rebuild their trust in one another after a season of distance, secrets and lies. They need to plan together. They need to discuss Chat Blanc. They need to lean on each other while all the odds are against them.
Tumblr media
Ladynoir Nation is set up to thrive and I can't wait. Speaking of these two...
2. The Guardian Trains Chat Noir to Upgrade Powers
It's essential, with only two heroes left, that the remaining heroes are at their strongest. Season 4 showed us how Ladybug was able to elevate her abilities to create charms, while Hawkmoth created mega-akumas. Maybe I've just been reading too much 'Truth and Consequences' by @siderealscribblings (major fic rec alert), but it's time for Chat to get his power upgrade. We've been told many times just how powerful the Black Cat Miraculous is. Will there be new weapons? Different magical abilities? Let's see this in action.
Season 4 was about Ladybug building out her team. Now, she needs to build UP her partner. I believe it's necessary for Marinette to step up and help Chat reach his full potential, as he is willing to do for her.
Plus, I want to see what his upgraded suit might look like. It's gonna be sick.
3. Identity Reveal IN THE FIRST 6 EPISODES
No waiting. No season finale reveal garbage. Let's get the ball rolling and get AT LEAST a one-sided reveal in the first mini-arc of the season. Maybe Ladybug and Chat Noir are putting in the work and growing closer. Marinette is seeing how much she can trust Chat to have her back in battle and in their daily interactions (curtesy of some premium Marichat nonsense).
Then they win a Miraculous or two back. Their plan works, the plan they built together and something clicks in Marinette's brain. It's time to reveal. We get the rest of the season for post-reveal pre-relationship development, dorky interactions on all sides of the love square, and the shippers get the last laugh mwahahhaha.
In summary, I want this meme: NO SLEEP. REVEAL. REVEAL. ANOTHER REVEAL. CHAT BLANC. CONFESSION. NEXT REVEAL.

4. Adrien vs Felix Smack Down
FIGHT FIGHT FIGHT
Tumblr media
Adrien knows Felix betrayed Ladybug to steal the Miraculous for Hawkmoth, but Felix doesn't know that. Felix doesn't know how personally he's betrayed Adrien, or that Adrien is Chat Noir and saw him up close during the final battle.
Game of Thrones had the Cleganebowl. Miraculous has the Senti Smackdown. Yes I am open to alternative names suggestions.
Eventually these two need to duke it out, and once Felix knows everything he is going to hit Adrien with THIS:
Tumblr media
Adrien, honey, I am so sorry.
5. Adrien Evolves from Smooth-Brain Boi to Maximum Surface Area-Brain Boi
Or, we see Adrien put the pieces together of 'what the hell is going on in this family.' He has the spy device Felix left behind to discover the painting. He knows his cousin helped Hawkmoth, but he doesn't know why. He investigates and finds answers, because he's the spy on the inside that Gabriel will never seen coming. And when the time comes, I hope Adrien is able to confront his father.
Tumblr media
6. Ladybug and Adrien Establish 2-Factor Authentication
Ladrien know Felix can (very successfully) impersonate Adrien. They know Hawkmoth (even though he's very stupid) has the Miraculous of illusion. Please, kids, come up with code words or something to ensure you know who you're talking to. A secret handshake would be adorable.
7. Gabriel vs Marinette but it's stupid
One of my favorite television scenes of all time is in the Trollhunters episode Recipe for Disaster. Jim and Strickler have a literal battle at the dinner table while Jim's mom is totally oblivious. She leaves, they fight. She returns with the next course of the meal, they detransform and pretend like they weren't just trying to literally stab each other. Imagine Marinette and Gabriel rapidly feeding kwamis under the table while Adrien is clueless to the fight happening every time he leaves the room. You can't convince me that this wouldn't be hilarious.
Tumblr media
I know we will never have this exact scene, but I need something just as weird. Gabriel is an idiot, Adrien is oblivious, and Marinette is a walking disaster. It's what we deserve.
8. Kwami Shenanigans in the Mansion
This one is simple: I hope the Kwamis fuck with Gabe. Hawkmoth hurt the Guardian and deserves zero rights. If the Kwamis get the zoomies and annoy the shit out of him, so be it. With 16 Kwamis hidden in that house (not counting Plagg binge-eating cheese upstairs) there is bound to be some chaos.
Tumblr media
9. Paris' #1 Dad Goes to JAIL BABYYY WOOO!!!
Really can't wait for smooth-brained Gabe to rot in prison. NO REDEMPTION ARC. GO DIRECTLY TO JAIL. Bye LOSER!
Shameless self promo: here's a very relevant playlist.
[🗑 gabriel agreste is going to jail party - Spotify]

In conclusion: I loved Season 4 of Miraculous and I'm so pumped for Season 5. Thank you for coming to my TED talk.

In Truth
MILD SPOILER ALERT FOR “TRUTH” AND “LIES” . . . OKAY, guys!! I am so happy that these two episodes are related! We finally got an Adrien-centric episode, y’all!! I’m glad to see more depth in the characters. Luka as a person is being explored, the Ladynoir dynamic is evolving, we get more quiet moments, and I am honestly feeling pretty optimistic about this season. One of the things that really impacted me in the episode “Lies” was how Adrien blatantly said that maybe his silly side was the real him. This has been implied, but it was the first time that he blatantly said it. And Kagami (and don’t get me wrong, I love this awkward stiff to bits) rejected this. She literally cornered him and said that the TRUE Adrien was the perfect image that the world has of him. And it’s not! Gods, just let this boy be the lovable dorky, pun-loving doof that he is! Kagami’s rejection made Ladybug’s confession in “Truth” - that the thing she loved most about Chat Noir was his humor - all the more meaningful. Chat Noir telling Ladybug, “I could only have so much fun with you” was all the more heart-wrenching when you realize how true it was. Agh. I hope to see more development on Adrien’s part this season. I hope we see more of his Chat leaking out in his civilian life. I hope Marinette and Kagami learn to stop putting him up on a pedestal. I hope for so many things, but I trust the writers know what they’re doing this season. 🐞🐾
