Evil Dadrius Adoption Au

Golden Cage

Darius and Eberwolf kidnap Hunter by luring him to their home disguised as celebrating his promotion to Golden Guard then refuses to let Hunter leave. They eventually successfully manage to manipulate Hunter into willingly staying with them and Hunter develops stockhome syndrome.

Darius starts off as a dark rebel but once Belos is overthrown he makes himself the new ruler of the Boiling Isles and keeps Raine brainwashed to be on his side figuring it better for them to be brainwashed then Darius having to kill them if they turn against him.

Unhinged

Everything is good in the beginning, Darius is your typical doting protective loving father to Hunter and Hunter enjoys every bit of it. Then Hunter dies and Darius is desperate to have his son back to revives him. Darius is frazzled at losing his son but nothing more and they continue having a happy father son relationship.

Then Hunter dies again... And again... And again... Each time Hunter dies, Darius loses more of his sanity and becomes more obsessed and controlling, willing to do anything to keep his son safe and taking care of anything he views as a threat. Hunter begins to long for the time when his father was normal, the good times but he knows it's his fault for not listening to Darius in the beginning and dying so many time.

Cycle of Abuse

Where the previous GG never realized Belos for the horrible person and parent he is and it changes more then you think. Previous GG sees the abuse he suffered as something he deserved to happen to him and what happens to children who are naughty, that's just how things are.

When he adopts a dark skinned baby who appears on his doorstep, Belos goes ballistic and so Prev GG kills him for the sake of his new adopted son. Unfortunately for Darius and later Hunter, that switch of Belos being a bad person and parent was never flicked on and Prev GG chalked it up to him just being too traditional. Prev GG raised Darius much in the same way Belos raised him and so Darius learned to be cruel and cold to most.

When the Prev GG died, Darius got lonely and came across Belos' old instructions on a grimwalker and so Darius creates his own child in the image of his late father to love and adore. With his own child now though he holds similar belief to the Prev GG on child raising he finds he can't bear to do half those things that were done to him to his beloved baby boy so Hunter was saved from most terrors but not all of them. Darius may not be able to bring himself to hurt Hunter in any way but that doesn't mean he won't manipulate Hunter into behaving like a good son should.

Mostly Evil Family

The most fluffy version where Eberwolf and Darius are evil and Hunter's his normal sun Bean self that's absolutely adored by his new father and new uncle. No manipulation or kidnapping took place. Darius just started early and showed Hunter what true love was so when it came time, Hunter chose Darius over Belos.

Darius and Eberwolf are perfectly normal to Hunter, doting, protective but just the right amount. Everyone else? Well that's a different story... Hunter knows how they treat everyone else and though he encourages Darius and Eberwolf to be more lenient or relaxed, he figures that's just how things should be.

Multiple Hunters

Darius has adopted three children, Hunter (16), William (13) and Jasper (8), he originally planned to only adopt Hunter but after coming across uncompleted grimwalkers, he felt obligated to adopt the others. The brothers don't like eachother, Hunter thinks Jasper is too childish while William is too uptight, William is tired of having to take care of Jasper and seeing Hunter getting all of their father's love and Jasper sees William as the bossy mean older brother and Hunter as someone pompous and smug asshole. Doesn't help they are jealous of eachother as well. Hunter envies his brothers freedom and no rules, his brothers envy the love he gets.

William and Jasper look like the beta designs of Hunter but with the trademark magenta eyes and pointy ears.

Eda in the human realm trying to scam the same person as team confidence

Eda and Makoto meet cause they move went to make a move on the target and they’re both like “what the fuck?”

Chase scene

Eda ends up accidentally kidnapping Makoto

Makoto is now stuck in the demon realm has to rely on this crazy owl lady to get him back home

The rest of TC is confused and are assuming Makoto bailed and decided to get away from them, but like…..he disappeared into thin fucking air???? So NOW they’re very concerned that he got kidnapped by someone who knows who they are and want revenge, so know they’re freaking out and start looking for him.

Makoto is having the worst time in the demon realm and just wants to get home. What the fuck is a hooty and why does it stretch like that? At least King is cute??? (Makoto still thinks King might try to eat his soul or something)

Oh now here’s Luz, and Makoto now has a way back, but fuck he can’t leave this child ALONE with this crazy owl lady, in a demon realm, well fuck now he HAS to stay at least till the end of the summer.

He does go to get reception to text TC and goes like “I’m alive” (he’s been gone for like…3-4 months by this point). TC gets the messages and flip out cause they assume the worst, he’s alive but is he okay?! And now their messages won’t go through cause he’s back in the demon realm

Look idk, I just thought it was funny and how funny and unhinged this would be. I like, do and don’t want to write a series thing off of this…but it’s just so out of pocket and fucking funny to me lmao.

Brainstorming my roleswap au, that I may or may not write/and or draw

Hunter and Luz swap; Hunter, who happens to be a grimwalker, is the adopted son of Camila while Luz is The Golden Guard who is also Camila's daughter that ran away when she was just a kid. (Ran away, as in: found a portal, walked into said portal, met with the emperor and now can't go home.)

Lilith swaps with Eda. To make it funny, Lilith has beef with Hunter, the teenager, at first before reluctantly gaining a soft spot for him... and seeing him as a son holy shit that's her baby why won't the world let him rest

Eda still has a motherly relationship with Luz, The Golden Guard; she worries for the young girl and often looked out for her, even when Luz said she was fine.

Hunter (swapped with Luz), Amity (swapped with Willow), and Matt (swapped with Gus) as a friendgroup because it's funny. It's like Mean Girls with a bunch of unhinged, sort-of mean gays.

Definitely gonna have an enemies to lovers plot with Luz and Amity, just like in canon! Except with maybe more trauma and violence and locking your future lover up in a cell because you wanted her to join your coven ^_^

Collector is a little guy swapped around with King! He's an 8 year old immortal space child, who doesn't understand a lot of things, who claimed Lilith as their mama and Hunter as their older brother. (Just a little guy! Make sure you don't play tag with him, though)

Darius and Raine swap here, and I have no idea who the hell Eber would swap with!

Darius and Lilith would be platonic in this au ofc. Sometimes you push away friends even when you need them the most.

I demand a Raeda college AU but it's Raine teaching, and all their students trying to first hook up their poor, socially awkward professor with someone, until they realize they used to date the local most notorious con-artist and alleged drug dealer (some of the students swear she sells the best 'stuff' (it's college answer sheets she stole from some other professor ten years ago but said professor has yet to change the exams)). The students track down Eda, talk to her for an hour and realize two very essential things: a) Eda is, as expected, pretty unhinged, and b) Raine is apparently so much more unhinged and the students genuinely don't know how they're supposed to perform for final exams with a straight face on. They also decided then and there to stop meddling with their professors love life - they've wasted a lot of time on this instead of studying already - but luckily, Eda's kids got them covered and promptly break into the university and cause further shenanigans.

I don't even know where to go from there I just want some poor, sleep-deprived music student seriously reconsider their biases when their soft-spoken professor with stage fright is revealed to be dating a local supervillain, and also secretly an anarchist busting people out of prison in their freetime.

I thought more on that silly joke AU post I made earlier and I decided to try and make it somewhat work with canon rules as like a canon divergence (for context the post I made was basically about Philip going through a time pool and staying at the owl house)

- Philip appears before Follies at the Coven Day Parade but after Yesterday’s Lie

- He’s found by Luz while wandering through the woods and she understandably flies through about fifty emotions at once because ‘ohmygodthatsphilipwittebane-‘

- Eda sees right through him immediately being the kind of person she is and lets just say she makes it clear to him that if he makes one wrong move, he’s not gonna like what follows - this leads Philip and Eda to just… constantly glare at each other when Luz isn’t looking, silent hatred and all

- Philip treats Luz better than he does in Elsewhere and Elsewhen simply because she’s human so there’s that natural desire to connect and of course the ‘humans are superior to witches’ mentality

- Philip is literally just that one unhinged uncle who’s always made to babysit and is the definition of:

Luz: We need an adult.

Philip: I’m an adult.

Luz:

- Elsewhere and Elsewhen doesn’t happen, Belos looking forward to meeting Luz again refers to this instead (also they try to withdraw as much information from Philip even though everything that happens is supposed to happen and you know owl house time travel stuff)

- Philip and Hooty are frenemies I make the rules, and by that I mean Hooty keeps trying to befriend Philip but Philip fucking hates him and is having to try so hard just to keep his act up and composure

- Luz and Philip finding new glyph combos together go brrrr

- Eda introducing her two humans like ‘This is Luz and she can do no wrong, oh and this is Philip I found him in the trash’

I may have thought a lot about this and given it actual plot and tried to explore character dynamics while also staying true to Philip’s character etc, and also giving an explanation as to why this doesn’t make him not become Belos and stuff but for now just have these random notes. I’ll probably never speak about this again and actually explain aspects of the AU and how Philip fits into the episodes if at all because anxiety but YOU KNOW-

There aren't enough fics of Luz and Lilith bonding, and this is one of the BEST ones. Lilith needs more healthy relationships, and in my opinion, building an aunt-niece relationship with Luz is a great place to start! (next to making amends with Eda) Basically, Luz is feeling homesick, and before dinner, she allows Lilith to help her feel better.

Beta AU. I have Beta AU & Raine on the brain & this is now your problem. Raine's fangs are small for the most part, except for the fang that they have massive double canines. They poke out making them kind of look like a vampire, a very nerdy vampire, but a vampire none the less. Every year during Halloween they dress up as Dracula & Eda dresses up like the wolf man, everyone fears October because they work together to scare as many students as possible. Raine would have the best vampire getup and Eda is always terrible at pretending she doesnt think they look Amazing in it. Sorry Gwendolyn but it’s the father that disappeared off into the night at some point and you’re the Fire Lady in charge of the whole thing. Based purely on the fact I know more about you and think you’d be easy to write as unhinged Eda(21) has somehow found herself mom-ing for a group of kids(12-14) who are on their way to fight her sister, mother, and country. Because she may have been quite happily banished but sweet fire these are actual children.

Inspired by a couple of those grandpa Aang posts floating around on tumblr. Raeda. Eda is the Avatar, she’s 50, wiser than she looks, has mastered every element but woe to the fool who tries to fight her in the air, has complete control over the Avatar State, and is still enough of a chaotic mess to get herself frozen in the ice for 100 years. Then Luz wakes her up and kicks her into setting off to start fixing the mess the world has gotten into. And Luz doesn’t have any powers, but Eda the Avatar remembers, even if Eda the Owl Lady wasn’t there for it, that people originally learned to bend the elements, instead of being born with it. Guess who’s the Earth King who’s been hanging around for the past 100 years and had  a close relationship with the avatar~ It’s Raine~ ^_^

Unhinged Darius has a bit of possessiveness towards Hunter if you can't tell already and has clearly gained an unhealthy attachment to Hunter.

Hunter still deeply loves his father even if he's gone insane

Hunter and Darius still share a lot of cute moments together, snuggling and etc, Darius always spoils Hunter with affection after any punishment he dishes out.

Even throughout his insanity, Darius would NEVER punch, kick, or do any violent gesturing towards Hunter, he loves Hunter he really does and he makes sure to express that constantly.

Darius lets Hunter's close friends over and they can play supervised flyer derby, (Hunter, Willow, Skara, Gus and Viney on one team, Luz, Amity, Edric, Emira and Vee on the other.)

Sometimes Hexsquad + twins + Vee will simulate a classroom with Hunter and Darius will be the teacher. Bump may pop by on occasion.

When Darius forbids Hunter from going outside he leads by example and also stops going outside choosing to keep Hunter company.

Eberwolf can help persuade Darius to act with logic and not emotion, most of the time.

If Hunter can manage to keep himself from getting killed again/near death experiences, Darius can recover most of his sanity. Darius will slowly let Hunter outside again, maybe even register for school and go back to being on the emerald entrails. (That would be a loooonnnnngggg process though) Darius would never fully recover but he would be able to let Hunter out and about again. If Darius gets therapy once once he's allowed Hunter to go back to school he may even be able to handle the odd almost dying once in a while without completely cutting Hunter off from the world.

How does Darius from each au deal with Hunter being sick, especially during Hunter's 'rebellious phase'?

Despite hating all things germs, Darius would take care of sick Hunter to the best of abilities, Darius is usually tender with Hunter but even more so when Hunter's not feeling well. Hunter being sick reduces him to more child like state who's more complacent with things so Darius has to worry less of Hunter trying to rebel against him and just focuses on taking care of him (applies to all AUs) Hunter may struggle with accepting medicine but he's too weak and tired to actually put up a fight.
