this was your one attempt at cooking since you’re basically becoming an adult and you need to take care of yourself.

but you lazy and hungry 😔✊✊

you’ve been ordering takeouts all the time and it was time to cut back.

but you suck at cooking hence the horrible homemade pizza.

you gave your pizza to your brother since you care about your lil brother and don’t want him to starve since there’s nothing to eat.

however, you just knew what he’s going to say

“it sucks.” your brother chews obnOXIOUSLY while playing his videos games.

he still eats it nonchalantly, “i don’t understand why you can’t just order pizza?1?1?1? or smth.”

you mumbled, “weLL,,, mom and dad are gone for a bit so i had to make something so you wouldn’t sTARVE to death.”

your brother turned around to look at you, “sis, just order pizza pls 🥺🥺” then your brother reversed uno to his game and uttered, “and close the door on the way out, thanks.”

😐😐😐😐 you rambled quietly to yourself as you closed his door, “i do one nice thing and he just doesn’t apprec-”.

so you ordered pizza and waited until the doorbell rang.

your thoughts got interrupted when you opened the door to see a very H O T delivery boy and the looks from his tag on his shirt, his name is jungkook.

“large pepperoni pizza with buffalo wings?” he asked, lifting his head up.

then you started to get hesitant by the way you dressed. sweatpants, shirts with a bit of spilled water on it, and messy ponytail. just great.

“yes that’s correct.” you tried to make eye contact but his eye contact is tOO STRONG, so you looked away.

jungkook stuttered, “y-y/n right?”

“uh yeaH, that’s my name. how did you know?” you questioned with a surprised look on your face.

“oH no!! i meant that the name that you placed while ordering is the correct order right?” he showed the receipt with your name on it, “i wanted to make su-”

“-oH yeah hAHAHAHAH sorRy yeah it’s y/n.” you smile sheepishly while thinking you idiot HOW ELSE WOULD HE KNOW UR NAME

“that’ll be $22 please.” jungkook says, grinning rEALLY CUTELY.

:o “omg!! i don’t have money with me, hold on!!” you hurriedly went into your room and took the money from your desk that was wAITING FOR YOU TAKE BUT YOU’RE A FORGETFUL PERSON.

then i gave him the money and quickly grabbed the food, “have a nice d-” and sLAMMMED THE DOOR.

he was going to say something nice :((((((((((((( you mean you knew what he was going to say but you SLAMMED THE DOOR AT HIS FACE 😤

you chuckled nervously, “ahhhh noo i have the money right here don’t worry!” he lifted his head up and you spoke again, “nOT that you were worrying or anything!! i-i just um...”

you didn’t finish your sentence and quickly hold out the money. jungkook mumbles quietly to himself “cute.” thinking you didn’t hear him but you did, this is a good sign.

you grabbed your order but you saw something that you didn’t order?? so you were veryy confused. “sorry but i didn’t order this... casserole???” you spoke while trying to give it back to him.

jungkook shook his head “uh nO, it’s free!! it’s a complimentary thing since someone have noticed that you’ve been ordering at our place quite often.” he smiled.

“OH was it hyunjin??? he’s always so nice when he’s accepting my delivery calls :D” you commented obliviously.

jungkook pokes his tongue inside his cheek but luckily you didn’t notice, “nope, it was me.” you looked up, “have a nice day y/n.” he winked.

ok now, this is your chance this is your chance 3x he called u cute, that is something??? HE ALSO GAVE U FREE FOOD so just say can i have your number? that’s it, that’s all easy pEASY just say it, just sAY IT just SA-

he’s about to walk away and you panicked and blurted out, “i dONT HAVE A BOYFRIEND!1!!!!1!”

jungkook frozed in his spot, and turned around, “h-huh??” he stuttered.

oooh man, its time to feel some EMOTIONS!

I'm BACK after a hiatus, which was due in part to me getting my 1st dose of the covid vaccine! woohoo!

anyways, starting here w/issue 22....we have a great cover w/thunderclash, the legend himself

oof. the covers made me forget how much I don't like the art this issue...I hate to be mean to the artists but this art style just isn't doin it for me chief

god I love this issue though. the framing device of rewind’s movie is so so fantastic

anyways. every single answer destroys me!!! like even the happy ones, like chromedome and rewind and tailgate - well, in present time, none of those three are doing so hot, so that makes this just hurt

and rung....that is so fucking depressing. jesus. this guy is so fuckng sad, somebody get him a friend stat

and swerve...ouch. this readthru I've really noticed how much early-mtmte swerve is not-so-subtly like, crying out for help bc he’s so alone and shit. jesus

also brainstorms response is just plain ole sad w/context, but at this point in the story without context, it just seems very foreboding lmao. I'm realizing this readthru that brainstorm is very sketchy and ominous in a particular ‘is he evil?’ mad scientist sorta way in early mtmte

and then everyone else is also just so OOF in their own unique sad ways, but I think the worst out of everyone is drift....GODDDDDD. especially considering that at this point in the story, drift is this kinda goofy hippy guy, so seeing him just sit there with his face in his hand, not even answering the question...AND knowing that shortly after this he’ll end up banished...IT FUCKING HURTS M8!

meanwhile, the more upbeat ‘quest to see rungs alt mode’ continues...with an ‘alt mode party’ vhbadkjsdfnabskjf it looks so silly with a bunch of cars just sitting around a table lmao

I cant even tell who everyone is bc they so rarely turn into cars n shit lmaoooooo

OHHH mannnnNNNNN i love this issue SO MUCH. what a good fun emotional rollercoaster wrap-up to mtmte s1. god.

like, this issue has it all - humor, drama, crippling sadness, intrigue, worldbuilding...it’s so excellent

and getting to see rewind again hurts so bad but also I love him

ok quick mtmte s1 retrospective...god s1 is so fucking good. I'm gonna have to read more to say which chunk of mtmte I liked best but s1 is so fucking excellent that it might be my favorite. though its hard to pick bc there's so much good stuff later on too...whatever, the point is s1 is so so good

the plotlines and characters are fucking stellar. like I cant even believe how well Everything works, its very impressive. I cant really think of anything major that made me go ‘yeah could've done without that plotline/character’

I love how dedicated jro is to connecting everything. I've mentioned it before but basically every single moment in the series has payoff - what you initially think is just a funny moment, or a fluffy character establishment bit, ends up ALSO being an important plot point later, in some way

an example would be here w/rung and his alt mode - it just seems like a fun little B-plot for this issue, and seems to pretty neatly conclude with the reveal that rung was eventually classified as an ‘ornament’ (lmao)...but we later on get to see a lot more about this, both here and in the functionist universe

and like, stuff like tailgate’s autobot lessons w/magnus - at first that can be seen as purely character establishment stuff, showing that magnus is a strict rule-lover and tg is a loveable try-hard good boy - but that becomes plot relevant in remain in light, with tailgate saving the day due to his knowledge of the autobot code (and its also character relevant, with magnus’s arc in remain in light).

and I know this is like. a normal regular thing in writing, but I'm just very impressed about how cleanly jro pulls it off, and how many things he’s juggling at once, especially in early mtmte - it’s very ambitious!

and we gotta remember, this is a comic book. I've read a lot of comic books, and the quality is all over the place. a lot of writers bite off more than they can chew, and the story ends up kinda scattered as a result.

another thing I see a lot in franchise writing like this is a lack of strong early character establishing due to the author assuming the readers are at least somewhat familiar with the characters already - which can be totally fair depending on where it is in the continuity, but other times it can come off as lazy

in mtmte, the cast is extremely well fleshed out, and not only that, the cast itself is unique in that there are a lot of relative unknowns (franchise-wise) - which I think was an absolutely brilliant move, because then jro was able to essentially create The Definitive Version of these characters - characters like swerve, brainstorm, chromedome, rewind, tailgate...mtmte is their baseline characterization, because they haven't really appeared in much else

this also allows for deviation from the franchise norms - again, a comic book classic is good writing being stifled by a need to stick to a certain status quo regard the characters, the world, the powers, relationships, etc

(I've mostly read DC comics, and some marvel, so I'm thinking superheroes w/all these comic comparisons)

so mtmte had a good recipe for genuine creativity in that the characters were relative unknowns, the plot was basically ‘space road trip,’ the status quo of ‘autobot vs decepticon war’ had been demolished throughout the entire franchise...so jro was able to take all that and run, and it turned out so fantastic

and luckily it isn't over yet! so many comics suffer from premature cancellation...and sadly mtmte/ll isn't exempt from this, as we’ll see later, but I've seen some awful ones, where comics are forced to wrap up in like 2 issues while in the middle of an arc. yikes.

but another comic staple...one of my least favorite things about comics books in general...something that was basically responsible for driving me away from comics after reading a bunch...the dreaded crossover event

yep, even mtmte isn't immune to this unfortunate plague on the comic industry. crossover events are the absolute worst, and I'm saying this as somebody who adores crossovers (in concept more than execution usually). they SHOULD be my favorite, but unfortunately they p much always completely suck

they're essentially a ploy to get you to read the other ongoing titles, but they usually only serve to bog down whatever story you're reading to the point where you don't even wanna read that one anymore, let alone read all the other ongoings. at least, that’s been my experience

it doesn't help that reading orders tend to be hard to find/keep track of, and that you need to go read the other series to know what's going on. I just hate it, like, I came here to read THIS series, I don't want a bunch of other series showing up too - even if I was reading two series, I wouldn't want them crossed over, because they're separate stories! augh!

I'm totally losing my focus here but my point is...crossover events suck, and mtmte unfortunately is involved in one. I have not read dark cybertron, and I'm not about to. I've heard nothing but bad things so I have no desire to inflict that upon myself

soooo ill be reading through the tfwiki articles for those issues to give myself a better understanding of what went on - which is more than I've ever done in the past - and maybe ill even make a single post summarizing my thoughts on what I read in the wiki, lmao

but yea ill be skipping to the mtmte s2 stuff next

What kinda aspiration is having small hands tho? :DD I love the night sky the most when it’s warm an dark, often when im like, on a trip. its not often both dark and warm where i live :D and i Love birds. today waiting for the bus i almost forgot where i was when i watched birds fly in flocks over us. theyre moving back here for spring! :D

also like,, waking early is so over appreciated. and i see the dawn plenty bc the sun rises at like nine o’clock in winter if at all like,,, i get that its more constant to ppl who live closer to the equator and actually means something. i would wake up to see the dawn tho for the stillness of the world tho if it was with someone but only in daydreams bc why get up early when u can stay up late? that last one abt truths like lmao we get it u deep but yea i love trivia

i love curly hair. i have really thick and stiff straigh af hair and i sometimes wish it had Even Waves bc id love to look more messy-cute ya know? bc now its all clean partings, no stray hairs. it looks too formal for my taste and id like for it to have some personality. i know i could just curl it with an iron or get it done but yea,,, i dont care That much

like im constantly told im crazy brave and i guess this applies to me? like i Did move at age 16 to my own in a city i have never been in with no one there who knew me and just,,, didnt even care. i tell others what ive been up to and they ooh and aah and im like?? but yea it does feel nice to be considered adventurous

also i love weird foods and am Not picky. in ninth grade home ec my kitchen needed to design a three course meal and dear fucking god was that a mess. we had one vegetarian lactose intolerant peep, one who didnt eat random shit like onions and bell pepper bc they taste bad (???) and so if a recepie had even a slightest bit of that he insisted it be left out or didnt even listen to the full recepie. and one who like,,,, would Not eat any foregin food. he wanted Potatoes and sausages. im like??? this is the final home ec test? this is supposed to showcase our skills,,, and you want boiled potatoes and plain sausage? what a mess lmao

WATER: i wear bracelets on my wrists • i love the bustle of the city • i have more than one set of piercings • i read poetry • i love the sound of a thunderstorm • i want to travel the world • i sleep past midday most days • i love dimly lit diners and fluorescent signs • i rewatch kids’ shows out of nostalgia • i see emotions in colors not words

i moved to a city abt uhhh? half a year ago and i love it here :D theres nothing better than walking in the centrum with the pidgeons and street artists and ppl having a good time chatting and shopping

i used to sleep past midday but i try to not so much bc that worsens my mood a lot bc i feel really isolated spending so much of my time alone. but it is my natural way of being so i guess thats how it be sometimes

bad eyesight ://. i do kinda enjoy doing household chores when i have something to listen to or a call to be in but that hasnt been the case lately. i am not vegetarian but sometimes i do go days without eating meat by accident which i dont mind but like,,, yea. its bc i eat like, bread, noodles, cereal, and then there might be something vegetarian at school that i eat bc it looks like the tastiest food there

ive been told im organized as hell by my peers and i dont get it. thats just?? how i naturally do things. it like,,, is Impossible for me to put things in their wrong places. if its hard to put where it belongs then i dedicate a “pending” spot for it in a place thats easy. and i hate notebooks and instead use a binder filled with loose leaves that i can edit as much as i like :3

i’m the (??) lmao that’s me always but ahdhghdfkshg thank you so much!!!!! i’m so glad you love them, it means the world to me ;-; and listen, that was me, i had no idea how i was going to do it because i’d only seen ts3 stories up to that point and i thought there was like a set Way to tell stories but i had no idea what i was doing so i was like y’know what...i’m just gonna do it how i feel comfortable doing it and i’m gonna figure it out as i go along. so honestly try to roughly plan out what your stor(ies) will entail and if you get stuck on planning and can’t figure it out, just jump right into it, try to make a few scenes or get the ball rolling somehow, even if it’s just random posts (i mean that’s all my blog was until i decided to commit to santi’s story.) it’s always gonna feel weird and awkward at first, but you’ll get comfortable the more you do it and it’ll figure itself out, trust me!

I read through most of your story posts the other day and now I’m rereading it again just to torture myself some more (and maybe catch up on some posts I may have missed). I honestly don’t think I’ve come across a sims story that’s so beautifully written & includes such evocative pictures as yours. I’m really at a loss for words, it’s all so stunning. & after a nearly two-month long creative block, it’s planted the smallest seed of inspiration in the back of my mind, so thank you for your art.

YEAH I DID! omg. i have a LOT of issues with this season (mostly in how badly they tried to retcon nancy and everyone else not caring about barb’s death, how bad the writing was in the realm of nancy and steve breaking up and then her and jonathan getting together...holy fuck it was so uncomfortable with that 40 yr old conspiracy theorist guy i couldn’t even enjoy my ship getting together lmao) also ur right, max and billy honestly did not offer anything to the story...like i loved max too but what was the point...billy acted like their presence and the reason they had to move was so dramatic when it was really nothing...unless they’re saving that for season 3 but like. the whole situation with billy was so anticlimactic. he was like a walmart version of henry from IT. like boohoo ur dad’s an asshole and then he beat up steve. good character arc. i liked max standing up for herself but really...that whole thing was so lackluster, i didn’t care about it at all. As a single mother myself I'd really enjoy seeing you take on the issue. Personally, my biggest problem was overcoming the generalizations people put on you when you're a single mom. People always assumed that I that I was stupid and uneducated because I had my son when I was 17.

yes! that will definitely come up. i will focus a lot on her struggles as a single mom. so far i’ve mostly just peppered in some stuff about money troubles, and that will come up again, and the issues you mention will be pretty central to her character as well. i’m sorry you have to endure that, it’s not fair. people don’t even realize how strong and dedicated single mothers are.

you gotta turn bb.moveobjects on and then press alt + 9 when an object is selected to move it upward. so what i did with those poses i made was, i selected a teleporter and pressed alt + 9 until it was at a spot i liked on the roof. that’s why releasing those poses would be tricky, ‘cause every build is different so there’s no set way to place them, you just kinda have to play around with them

do you have any tips for taking good screenshots in game? like how to get the good angles and good quality? i play on ultra but i think when i zoom in and then use the arrows on my keyboard to move around, the pictures gets less clear and looks kinda blurry. how should i do this?

well if you’re already using ultra, there’s not much you can do lmao. sims 4 is just bad with textures in general. it also depends on the objects as well, some are better quality than others. if i zoom in far on a sim’s face, i generally know there will be some pixelation and i can clean that up in photoshop with topaz clean and the smudge tool. i am very reliant on photoshop sometimes lmao. it sounds like you already have the basics of taking good screenshots, it’s just sometimes you have to fight and work with sims 4′s less-than-hd quality.

i searched things like “bonfire” and pasted parts of it that i wanted on the pic to make it look more realistic, then put a layer mask on the pasted pic and erased the edges and stuff to make it blend in better. the sparks and stuff i added by pasting it onto a new layer and changing the blending mode to screen!

for any skin detail or makeup, you have to go into s4s and open the package up, go to one of the tabs (honestly i don’t remember which one because i don’t have it open rn lmao) and you’ll see the different age groups and you check the box for toddler. and then save it of course. (there’s probably a better guide on how to do this somewhere lmao)

i just set mine to ts4′s screenshots folder because it’s what i was used to and it works for me haha. hmmmmmm did you copy the exact address or whatever it’s called of your folder’s location and then paste it into the reshade box? try doing that with another location and see if it works. if anything you can do what i did ‘cause it worked for me

Along with the previous song, this one had a really good vibe to it that got me excited and in the mood for 2049. The video is a treat as well, I hope this collective does more in the future. Only problem with it is they didn’t use the full version of the song, which you can check out here.

The fact he wrote this album about his own dealing with his mental illness really stuck with me. A lot of the beats remind me of a lot of Liquid Swords with how dark and distant they sound.

harvest - what fictional character do you most identify with? Why?

I’m gonna go with the first person I think of, which is Howard Alan Treesong.

i know he is a very bad guy (basically he is Space-Moriarty + delusions of Emperorship) and does terrible things as one of the chief antagonists of Jack Vance’s Demon Princes series, but he also spends the latter half of the book he is in pretending to be a polite and pleasant man who is desperately, with gritted teeth, trying to get back an embarrassing but emotionally invaluable book he wrote as a kid that his brother hid from him.

this attempt to get his childhood scrawlings back is actually his undoing. (that’s one of the downsides of the book actually, the main character who spent four books to get to this point? kinda just sits along for the ride and doesnt really contribute to howard treesong being embarrassed and outwitted and finally destroyed)

anyway, I can relate to desperately trying to find and hide embarrassing junk i wrote when i was little, and to muttering to myself in various voices, and to being undone by my own fiction.

fireside - if you had your dream wardrobe, what would it look like?

gosh… usually i think more about what kind of living city-planet-dungeon-labyrinth i d like to become.

i m so unfashionable that when i was in high school i read that long khaki pants will pair with any color polo shirt, and i said Okay, I Can Do That For The Next Fifty Years

hm… how about… you have a black suit as a base (in this fantasy, suits are actually comfortable to wear) and then you build up gold intricate armor over that (designed with lots of faces and half formed antlers, fronds becoming hands, suns becoming manticores, all very intricate and convoluted), esp around the arms and shoulders, and then some sort of head-mask that has the blind eyes and eerily fleshlike marble features and aesthetic cracks of a grecoroman statue, but with a neon halo blaring about my head like i m a horrible beautiful business angel…

now /that/ wld be a fun casual saturday look

spice - have you ever encountered a house that you believed to be haunted?

a few places but i ll stick w one for now…i did have a bad feeling about this one house once. i was seven. my brother was five or six. And we were with our parents, looking for a house in Houston, because Dad was getting out of the army. And we visited a lot of bad houses. houston contractors apparently suck at making roofs, because every house we visited had stained ceilings or just outright puddles staining the floor. but they were alright-feeling. they were just empty, blank, water-warped homes.

And then we came to the house of flies. it had the same basic plan as the other houses–esp a too-large and space wasting foyer or lobby or whatever you call it. and everywhere the light from the windows (it was getting to be late afternoon) touched, there were flies.

other empty houses have flies by the windows, some curled up along the floor. they did not look like this. The floor was covered in fly corpses. Awash in them. there was no where you could step in order to avoid making them crunch beneath your shoes. and our parents headed off, crunching away, to look around the place. and it was just my brother and i, neither of us wanting to move further into the house because of the sea of curled up bodies. It was quiet and hot, and … this house felt different. the air was oppressive. the ceiling was too tall, and there was something odd about its edges that i cldnt figure out from down below (i already needed glasses but i dont think we d figure that out for another few months). And so i focused on the bodies of the flies and…i dont know why, and i dont very much believe in the supernatural and think most things can be explained by low frequency vibrations and human suggestibility, but i felt a growing horror inspecting all these flies piled up, not on the windows where flies normally die, scrabbling at the glass and trying for the freedom of the outdoors, but silently and crowded together on the ground, in mounds. i became convinced that there was something wrong with this place.

and time passed, and boredom will overcome even an obstacle of fly corpses, and jake and i crunched over to the stairs and went up to explore and play a little tag to pass the time. i was worried mom and dad wld like the place, and was already formulating ways to object shld they prefer it to [the place we eventually bought and lived in for many happy years]. So: my brother and i played tag. And it was weird, because there wasnt very much to the upstairs–such houses waste all their upper air space to have a tall AC-sucking luxury lobby where nobody goes, because those front doors that open onto the lobby are never the main doors you actually use day to day, it s always the side or garage door by which you exit such slapdash domuses–but i still got confused and lost, and while chasing him i lost my brother and felt distinctly uncomfortable, because the walls were an unpleasant brownish red color and i could have sworn i had already passed that too-dark bathroom (with the open door and the disconcerting mirror glinting in the darkness within), but the rooms had been connected differently that last time, and I heard a noise. And I cant remember what that noise was, except that it was soft, and longer than a typical creak, and that at first i thought it was jake moving nearby. so i followed the sound to an empty bedroom, to a closed closet door. And I was about to open that closet door, when jake poked his head in the room (scaring the bejeezus out of me) and said mom and dad were calling, couldnt i hear them? it’s time to go.

I…did not open that closet door, and stuck to jake like glue as we headed downstairs.

Luckily we didnt buy that place–it was hideously expensive for what it was, and there was, i think, a problem in the backyard with water reservoirs…or something, i dont remember. i only remember the relief i felt. I dont know if jake remembers this house, and even if he does i doubt he felt so affected by it. But i had dreams about that place for years afterwards. It was the first time I ever felt that horror could happen in a sunny well-lit place. most other places i felt similarly were dark and dingy…this place ought to have felt friendly, but didnt.

edit: oh! i forgot to say, while we were walking back down the stairs, i looked up at the ceiling. from the vantage point of the second story landing, you could see that there were positively immense spiderwebs stretched all around the edges of the ceiling, i was teeny then and they seemed ginormous to me. and i dont remember seeing many flies or other tiny lumps stuck in them, nor any spiders either.

quilt - how do you take your tea (or coffee)?

I m not much of a coffee drinker, ha, and on rare occasions when i do partake it s usually half sugar half milk half coffee :p

tea is pretty simple, i just add honey usually!
