eddie wears a lot of red and black, but those aren't his favorite colors

his absolute favorite? green, definitely, like the way sunlight looks when it's filtered through the trees

you make him a bracelet on a lazy summer day, with some of the thread you have lying around

he picks the yellow and green, you choose a light blue and purple

they look pretty together, but your stomach's churning the whole time you weave the threads around each other

what if he's embarrassed to wear it? :(

you're shy, showing him the final product, but he's over the fucking moon

his big eyes watching you while you tie the bracelet around his wrist, chewing at his bottom lip at the way your fingers graze the delicate skin

gonna be honest, i don't think it really matters what colors you use, that bracelet is gonna end up a faded brown-grey color pretty quickly

because he is nnnnneeeeeeevvvvveeeeeeerrrrr taking it off

it gets to the point where you're begging him to cut it off his wrist (with the promise that you'll make him another of course)

he just holds his wrist up to your face, a goofy smile on his lips and his other arm pulling you close

eddie can definitely move. is it good? probably not.

most of the dancing he does consists of wild flailing and headbanging to his favorite songs

he has to pull over the van sometimes when he's driving so he can really feel whatever he's listening to—play his own little rendition on the air guitar and thrash his head along to the music

he can jump crazy high???? it's actually a little dangerous if he's not paying attention to his surroundings

anything requiring a little more skill is gonna be a big no for eddie

he's kind of a clumsy guy ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

but he'll absolutely make a fool of himself if he thinks it'll make you laugh

slow dancing? he can't get enough of it

pulling you into his arms while a song plays over the end credits of whatever movie you were watching, or spinning around the kitchen in the morning sunlight while the pancakes start to burn

you know it's just an excuse to hold you close, but you'd never call him out on it 🥰

okay, it's gotta be gameshows

there was only one old-as-hell tv in the orphanage, and they got like no channels, but jeopardy was always on

it's the only thing he can still stand now that he's out of there

falling asleep on the couch with alex trebek talking in the background is a common occurrence

he actually thought about trying out for the show a couple of times, but got uncomfy at the idea of being on camera :(

he's surprised you indulge him when you start spending more of your evenings together, always waiting for you to suggest you watch something more entertaining

Cyno Isn't the best when it comes to this field of knowledge, but he does make a great effort to learn

He's the feared General Mahamatra, tracking down wrongdoers and violent altercations is common in his line of work.

But despite his hardened exterior, underneath those crimson eyes is concern for your wellbeing. Seeing you so overworked and stressing to keep watch over a kid while balancing all your other tasks made his stomach churn.

So, him being the honorable person he was, volunteered to watch over the child so you can have a rest.

"Are you sure? I- I mean I never seen you—"

"There's no need to worry. If I felt I couldn't handle such a task, I would have volunteered to do something else," Cyno reassured, approaching you and the bubbly child you held close to your chest. "Just tell me what I need to do, and you can leave the rest to me."

You couldn't help but smile at the sentiment, your exhaustion making Cyno's offer sound even more convincing. Without further hesitation, you agreed, relaying the basics on how to care for the child as Cyno listened intently, noting down every suggestion you made and engraving it in his memory.

The young matra found his face warming when you neared him, the proximity making it hard for him to concentrate on what you were saying. Why did this suddenly feel so intimate?

He awkwardly held his arms out, muscles tense and body alert unintentionally. Despite him wanting to help you babysit, he looked utterly bewildered when it came to holding a child, and of course his reactions didn't go unnoticed to you.

A sweet melody caught his ears— your voice he recognized, sprouting an amused laugh. The beautiful sound of it unknowingly eased away some of the nervousness building up in his chest, his shoulders relaxing as his eyes softened. It was a new change from your tired sighs he'd been aquatinted with for some time, seeing the curve of your lips and the crinkles of your eyes was truly a sight to see.

You placed the child in his arms, gently guiding his hands around them. "Support their neck like this, and hold them close," Cyno nodded, his body tensing once again as the child wiggled in his arms. He cleared his throat, trying his best to relax as you instructed.

"Like... this?" Cyno looked up, his eyes full of curiosity and wonder as he searched yours for some sort of affirmation.

It was adorable seeing him so focused and eager to care for a tiny creature. Your mind drifted to the thought of Cyno having his own little bundles of life running around, and how amazing he would be as a father. Another heartwarming scene of his children tackling him into a hug flooded your mind. Another thought of how adorable his—

"[Name]?"

You blinked, snapping out of your daze as your cheeks warmed. "Y-Yeah! Just like that," You said sheepishly, backing away from the endearing scene. "Seems like you've got everything covered, I'll leave you to it!"

And then you scurried off, leaving a startled Cyno and a child that needed their diaper changed behind.

Cyno could only blink in amusement before returning to the task at hand. "What's... that smell?"

Oh dear, you never told him how to change a diaper.

He's actually decent at caring for a tiny living being

His sharp senses keeps the child out of danger so there's no issues there

Probably gets scared when the child barely moves in their sleep and has to give it a lil tap tap just to make sure they're still breathing (cats be doing the same thing too smh)

OKAY SO!! I just imagine him having a stare down with the child and his intimidating eyes makes him seem like he's glaring but really he's just a bit confused on what he should do next

Surprisingly the child doesn't get scared and just reaches out to grab his headpiece, cooing and giggling at the animalistic design.

Cyno might find it cute until his hair gets tugged along with it ouch.. don't underestimate the grip of a baby!!

ALSO I definitely see him telling his jokes to the kid AND thoroughly explaining the reasoning of why it's funny as the child just burps and noms on their hand. Also the child just giggles at random intervals so Cyno thinks they understand the joke and actually find him funny.

"...and that's why the scarab crossed the road," Cyno explained, tickling the child's tiny feet to keep them entertained, and low and behold, they giggled!

"You found that funny?" Cyno hummed, looking at the cooing child in awe. "Tighnari seemed to think otherwise, but now I know someone other than me finds them hilarious. here, let me tell you three of my best jokes,"

Possessive- you are his wife. If a lesser Lord gets too big for his boots when he thinks Tywin is not there, Tywin will make it plain to whom you belong to

Protective- it takes a while for his possessiveness of you to develop into protectiveness. You don’t often fall into direct danger, but he is always very conscious of when you’re around his eldest grandson. The height of his protectiveness will probably come if you end up with child.

Childbirth. It took one wife from him. Who’s to say it won’t take another. It’s a bloody business, that even with the best maester could go wrong in many different ways.

What are some of your fluffiest and angstiest nevermoor headcannons ?

This is the only Nevermoor headcanon that matters.

Jk jk but. Hmm 🤔. I’m going to be honest, I’m not sure if I ever really think about headcanons that often, at least not seriously? I kinda love the canon of Nevermoor so much that it’s hard to depart from it. Also, any headcanons I have tend to be sort of stuff related to character designs, such as this post about why I draw baggy Wunsoc sweaters. The biggest one is probably the glasses one I mentioned in my last post. I think I find it easier when people ask me questions or when I work off of something else than it is to come up with something from scratch.

If you want a very silly jokey headcanon, though, that goes completely against canon and yet I always refer back to….. Wunsoc merch store. Headed by none other than the Scholar Mistresses. And then multiple other parts of Wunsoc, also headed by them. Is it part of their job? Budget cuts? Who knows. The point is that it’s fun to imagine. And, crucially, there is a black market run by students as well. Because why not!

Some screenshots below the cut of when I’ve talked about it. I’ve may have mentioned it more and missed the messages, or just imagined doing so. 🤷. But I do think about it often as it’s very fun and silly.

If anything, I think these screenshots help prove that Nevermoor is genuinely on my mind 24/7, lol

🫀 - how easily do they cry? what makes them cry without fail?

i've got this sneaking suspicion that eddie is some kind of water sign, so i think he tears up pretty regularly

he'll cry while reading, or watching sad, sappy movies that come on while wayne snores on the couch

when his uncle finally wakes, he makes up some story about how he didn't want to change the channel and bother him, wiping his nose on his shirtsleeve and blaming allergies

he cries sometimes thinking about his childhood, but those are angry tears, thinking about what he'd lost—what his dad had taken from him

growing up, he cried a lot from stress, especially when things were unfair or he felt like his teachers were picking on him.

definitely he got bullied for it and it's one of the reasons he puts on such a tough exterior now

🚫 - what's something genuinely weird about them? like, not something considered quirky yet cute- something genuinely weird that puts other people off at first

this man is gross. it can not be understated how gross

showers when he feels like it, which is more often than you might think, but forgets to wear deodorant on the regular. has no idea what the point of conditioner is

tries to cover up the smell of weed and BO with cheap cologne he keeps in his glove box

will literally eat anything. straight out of the garbage, off someone else's plate, off the floor. if it looks clean and he's hungry, he's going for it

eats in bed, spills all the time. does not bother to wash his sheets—just sleeps wherever there isn't a wet spot

he doesn't own a hairbrush. he used to, but it's kind of gotten lost somewhere in his room

genuinely though, if you ever took the time to pamper him? he would be an absolute goner for the rest of his life

In the end, a soft tune surrounded the both of you as Baji drew you in by your hands, drunken sways and giggles filling the room anytime you stumbled over one another's feet. The dimmed lights of the room made his soft bronze eyes look golden as they lit his features, something you couldn't help but be possessed by and marvel at.

"You're so bad at this," You laughed, shaking your head at his unsteady movements that he tried so hard to play off.

"I am not!" He denied, seemingly offended, but his tipsy smile never faltered, enchanted by the way you continued to sway along with his wobbly moves, your outfit hugging every dip and curve of your body just right. "You're just... not close enough."

You nearly yelped when his hands traveled down to your hips, pulling you in as your arms found their way around his neck. "Keisuke!" You shrieked, but he only held you closer.

"Much better," Baji grinned, admiring the way your face glowed with the light, eyes dropping down to your glossy lips in temptation. His head connected with yours, vision clouded over with love and desire before he briefly pulled away, only to cup your face and pull you back in for a desperate kiss.

You could taste the alcohol on his tongue as you became lost in his embrace, lips moving together in sync with the music while your hands tangled in his hair. Racing hearts and drunken kisses that didn't end until the song came to a stop and the two of you pulled away, panting, but smiling nonetheless.

"We should move the disc player to our room."

🛁 : A bathing headcanon

So, personally, I’ve always headcanoned that Matt has a small bathroom which means a small shower/tub combo. Not the best for actual baths. (Look, NY is ridiculous and while he may be lucky and have a nice apartment, I’m still assuming he has a tiny bathroom) HOWEVER, that does not mean that the two of you don’t shower together occasionally. Sometimes, yes, it is definitely for more nefarious reasons. But other times? It’s simply for the intimacy of it. If you’re still up when he comes in late at night, sometimes you’ll just join in him the shower to help clean him up. It’s therapeutic for both of you. You get to run your hands over him and make sure he’s not too terribly injured and he gets a soft, loving touch. 

🌡: A sick headcanon

Oh my God. This man is every person’s worst nightmare when he’s sick. If you haven’t had a chance yet, you should definitely read @pastafossa‘s This Is A Code F fic. That man is an absolute menace. He doesn’t want to admit he’s sick, he doesn’t want to take anything that’ll help make him feel better, he definitely doesn’t want to do anything like “slow down” or “take care of himself.” You have to practically wrestle him into staying home. That or threatening to revoke cuddle privileges. All I gotta say is, good luck and may God have mercy on your soul.

❤ : A romantic headcanon

I think it takes Matt a while to admit to himself that he likes you in a romantic way. But once he does? This fucker can be smooth. Those heightened senses of him let him know exactly how to fluster you and what you like to hear from him and he definitely uses it to his advantage. He’s also really good at figuring out your favorites and bringing them to you. You coffee/tea/drink of choice order? He knows it by heart. Your favorite flowers? He sends them to you on occasion. He’ll sneak your favorite lunch to you sometimes if he can get away with it. He’s gonna do his best to sweep you off your feet. Maybe even literally too 😏

When slighted, Maleficent will do whatever she can to repay her slighted pride or ego. She is due the upmost respect, knows it, and has the power to command it. That's why she'll literally, y'know... Curse a child to die if not invited to her Christening, or in the Disney version, Aurora's one year birthday party. Its a grave dishonor to allow commoners to an event but not invite someone who could literally kill them all if she wanted. She is considered royalty, after all. If a child was going to be raised by someone who dare disrespected her power and authority, its better off dead to her anyway.
