Petition for Aurora to play the lead in a live-action adaptation of The Snow Child by Eowyn Ivey

In the Snow Child by Eowyn Ivey, we uncover the character of Faina who belongs more to nature than to human society. I believe Aurora would be the perfect fit for this character. And, she should be allowed to write the soundtrack of the film, drawing on the novel’s themes of isolation, human endurance, and the definition of family. The novel’s fairytale-esque draw matches so well with Aurora’s style in her music videos. If you think Aurora should play Faina in a live-action adaptation of The Snow Child, then repost this petition or like.

C'est beau, magnifique, on se laisse doucement entraîner dans ce récit. Une surprise je ne pensais pas que le récit prendrait cette tournure. J'ai été surprise par l'alternance des personnages et le format de journal choisi par l'auteure. Une auteure que je relirai c'est sur !!! Eowyn Ivey nous entraîne à la suite du colonel Forrester qui part explorer l'Alaska à travers son journal. Mais également sa femme a travers le sien, enceinte, resté à Vancouver. #23 The Snow Child by Eowyn Ivey

This book has good reviews, positive quotes on the front like "spellbinding" and was a Pulitzer Prize Finalist, apparently. I didn't get what the fuss was about. I found the book well written and considered but boring and predictable. Half way to three quarters of the way through I was ready to give up because the ending was obvious. I liked the premise of the story but there was no exploration of the magic or spiritual side of the story. It flitted between fairy tale and reality which, for me, delivered neither convincingly. Not my favorite read but not terrible. ⭐⭐/5

Finally bought The Snow Child! I’ve been meaning to get this for awhile. Gotta support those Alaskan authors! I’ve heard so many good things about this book so I’m excited to start it! . @kleff34 and I strolled through Barnes & Noble during lunch laughing at all the books we buy on a whim, that eventually end up tucked in a corner somewhere. One of those books we both fawned over, probably a year ago now, was The Snow Child by Eowyn Ivey. Tonight I spotted it on my shelves and thought I’d read the first page to see what her writing is like. Ceux qui aiment les livres aiment leur odeur. Celle du papier neuf comme celle du livre ancien et poussiéreux. C'est un fugace souvenir olfactif qui nous ramène au plaisir d'avoir déniché un livre magnifique après avoir flâné le regard acéré entre toutes ces étagères pleines. Un titre, une couleur et une promesse d'histoire accroche notre regard puis notre cœur. En fermant les yeux et en ouvrant ces pages, on inspire. En plus du regard et du cœur, tout le reste s'éveille. On nous dit que le livre dématérialisé ne fonctionne pas trop en France. Peut-être parce la liseuse au fond gris et morne n'appel aucun sens au souvenir. Le goût des choses passent par leur odeur.
