pandora absolutely steals anything and everything she can get her hands on.
used toothbrush? locks of hair from when lily was cutting it? baby teeth? empty coffee cups with lipstick prints on the side? a leopard print jacket that she doesn't even really like but is going to use as ransom til barty gives her precious skeleton corset back?
all going in her bag.
evan is the worst hugger in the world, he's so stiff so pandora hugs him constantly trying to "melt" him into a good hugger

Just finished the final chapter of Crimson Rivers. I don't even have the *words* for how much this fic meant to me like. I think Zar is one of the best writers of our generation and this fic touched parts of me I didn't even know existed anymore. I'm so grateful and moved and in awe and full of love and loss and hope.
It's a work of art. It's beautiful. It's what every piece of writing should aspire to.

Okay so I have one more idea! Squid games au! Now this is tricky..I myself wasn't sure how to write this so if you need help, ideas, or have questions let me know!
The main idea is our ocs (Mine, yours, Elias's) are stuck in the squid games, none of them know each other but they end up working together and keeping each other alive. You could write how they'd end up doing in the different challenges, the overall dynamics, or really whatever you want! Its totally up to you! Also I can totally write a part two to whatever you decide to write if you'd like!
[ strange circumstances. || simp party. ]
Warnings: Violence, slight twist near the end.

A/N: I was kinda too lazy to add Fang? Also I forgot to add the part where they meet eachother, Evan and Anni kinda just...team up-- this is a little bad, I apologize.
Word count: 2,613
Anni and Evan found themselves trapped in the Squid Games, a deadly competition where contestants must compete in a series of games to win a large sum of money. They had no idea how they got there or what was going on, but they knew that they had to survive if they wanted to make it out alive. As Anni and Evan progressed through the different games, they began to rely on each other more and more. They shared their strategies and ideas, and worked together to try to figure out how to beat each game.
In the first game, Red Light Green Light, Anni and Evan managed to make it through by working together. They stayed low to the ground, moving slowly and cautiously, and made sure to watch each other's backs. When the game was over, they were relieved to have made it through alive, but also worried about what was to come.
Anni and Evan stood side by side, their hearts pounding as they waited for the game to begin. They had heard rumors about the Squid Games, but they never imagined that they would be forced to participate in them. Suddenly, the sound of the announcer's voice filled the air. "Red light," he said, and the contestants froze in place. "Green light," he continued, and the contestants started to run towards the finish line.
Anni and Evan sprinted forward, their eyes fixed on the finish line. They were making good progress, and they were confident that they could make it to the end. But then, the announcer's voice boomed out again. "Red light," he shouted, and the contestants froze in place. Anni and Evan came to a sudden stop, their hearts racing as they waited for the next command. As they stood there, frozen in place, they watched in horror as one of the other contestants was shot and fell to the ground. They realized that this was no ordinary game - it was a matter of life and death.
"Green light," the announcer said, and the contestants started to move again. Anni and Evan moved forward cautiously, their eyes scanning the area for any signs of danger. Suddenly, the announcer's voice echoed through the air once more. "Red light," he said, and Anni and Evan froze in place again. They could feel their hearts pounding in their chests as they waited for the next command. They watched as the other contestants scattered in all directions, trying to avoid being shot. Anni and Evan huddled together, trying to come up with a plan.
"We need to move together," Anni said, her voice barely above a whisper. "We can't let them pick us off one by one." Evan nodded in agreement, and they took a deep breath and started moving forward again. They moved slowly and cautiously, watching each other's backs and staying low to the ground.
"Green light," the announcer said, and the contestants started moving again. Anni and Evan sprinted forward, their hearts pounding in their chests. They were so close to the finish line, they could almost taste it. But then, the announcer's voice boomed out again. "Red light," he shouted, and the contestants froze in place once more. Anni and Evan huddled together, their hearts racing as they waited for the next command.
They watched as the other contestants scattered, trying to avoid being shot.
As the games progressed, Anni and Evan found themselves relying more and more on each other. In Tug of War, they were put on the same team and managed to work together to pull their opponents off the platform. In Tug of War, they were put on the same team, and they quickly realized that they had to rely on each other if they wanted to win. Anni and Evan coordinated their efforts, pulling in unison and cheering each other on. They managed to defeat their opponents, and Anni felt a sense of relief and pride as they celebrated their victory.
Anni and Evan stepped onto the marble court, their hearts racing with excitement and anticipation. They had made it through the first few rounds of the Squid Games, and now they were facing the challenge of the marbles. The rules were simple: each player had a set of marbles, and they had to use them to knock their opponent's marbles out of a circle drawn on the ground. The first player to knock all of their opponent's marbles out of the circle would be the winner. Anni and Evan took their positions on opposite sides of the circle, their eyes locked in concentration. The tension was palpable as they each selected their first marble and prepared to make their move.
Anni went first, sending her marble spinning towards Evan's with a flick of her wrist. Evan responded with a swift flick of his own, knocking Anni's marble out of the way and sending it careening towards the edge of the circle. Anni wasn't deterred. She quickly picked up another marble and sent it hurtling towards Evan's, but he was ready for her this time. He deftly dodged the marble and sent one of his own crashing into hers, sending it flying out of the circle.
The game went back and forth like this for what felt like hours, each player trying to outmaneuver the other with their marbles. They were evenly matched, and neither of them could gain the upper hand. Finally, after what seemed like an eternity, Evan made a critical mistake. He overextended himself trying to knock out one of Anni's marbles and left himself open for a counter-attack. Anni seized the opportunity, sending her last marble flying towards Evan's with all her strength.
The marble hit its mark, knocking Evan's last marble out of the circle and securing Anni's victory. The crowd erupted into cheers as Anni and Evan high-fived, congratulating each other on a hard-fought match. As they left the court, Anni and Evan couldn't help but feel a sense of pride in what they had accomplished. They had faced one of the toughest challenges in the Squid Games and came out victorious, proving to themselves and everyone else that they were true competitors.
In Marbles, they split their marbles evenly and helped each other strategize to win the game. In Marbles, Anni and Evan split their marbles evenly, and they worked together to strategize and try to win the game. Evan was a bit more skilled at the game than Anni, but he never made her feel inferior or left her out of the planning. They discussed their options and made decisions together, and in the end, they managed to win the game.
But not every game was a success. In the Honeycomb game, both Anni and Evan struggled to cut their shapes out in time. They ended up working together to try to figure out a solution, but ultimately Evan's shape broke and they were left with only one chance to get it right. Anni managed to cut her shape out successfully, but in the end, they both survived thanks to a last-minute twist in the game. Despite the challenges they faced, Anni and Evan continued to support each other and rely on each other. They formed a strong bond, and they shared their fears, hopes, and dreams with each other. Anni found herself opening up to Evan in a way that she never had with anyone else before, and she was grateful for his kindness and support.
Through it all, Anni and Evan developed a strong bond. They relied on each other for support, comfort, and protection. They shared their fears, hopes, and dreams with each other, knowing that they might not make it through the next game. As they sat together in the dark, cramped cell, Anni and Evan couldn't help but feel a sense of despair. They had been through so much, and they didn't know if they would ever make it out alive.
But in the midst of all the darkness and despair, they found a glimmer of hope. As they talked and shared their stories, they began to feel a deep connection forming between them. They laughed together, cried together, and supported each other in ways that they never thought possible. One night, as they sat together in the cell, Evan reached out and took Anni's hand. She looked at him in surprise, but he just smiled and squeezed her hand gently. They sat like that for a few moments, just enjoying the comfort of each other's presence.
Suddenly, Evan leaned in and kissed Anni softly on the lips. She was taken aback at first, but then she realized that she felt the same way. They kissed again, more passionately this time, and they wrapped their arms around each other, holding on tight. In that moment, they forgot about the horrors of the games, and they just focused on the love and connection that they shared. They knew that their situation was terrible, but they also knew that they had each other, and that was enough.
As they pulled away from each other, they looked into each other's eyes, and they both knew that they had found something special. They didn't know what the future held, but they knew that they would face it together, no matter what. Despite the terrible circumstances that they found themselves in, Anni and Evan had found love in the most unexpected of places. They held onto each other tightly, knowing that they had each found a light in the darkness of these sick, and cruel circumstances.
Anni stared down at the concrete below them, curling her toes and then stretching them out. Words hesitated in her mouth and she looked over at Evan sitting casually next to her from the corner of her eyes. Biting on her bottom lip, she let out a deep sigh, "You think we're gonna make it through this?"
Evan looked over at her, seeing a brief spark of fear in her eyes. His eyes lowered at the thought of a straight answer, "Yeah... we will. We always will."
Anni knew he was just as unsure as she was. She smiled at the thought and laughed under her breath, "I didn't do that with you because I thought I might die tomorrow... by the way." Anni clarified and Evan shrugged a shoulder with a cocked smile,
"Yeah, neither did I." Anni leaned back on her hands and took a deep breath, holding it for a few seconds before letting it out slowly. Her eyes stared up at the sky that constantly changed colors, her skin tingling from the warm wind. She felt rejuvenated; felt safe and secure for the first time in days.
"You know..." Evan heard her speak and looked over at her curiously, "I'm sort of glad that they created this cruel game..." She nodded and met his gaze, seeing the confused look on his face.
"Why?" His scruffy voice asked and Anni laughed to herself,
"I know it sounds crazy... but I'm kinda glad it did. I think about it every day, you know? If this all wouldn't have happened I wouldn't be as strong as I am now, wouldn't have met... you." Her voice softened and she shook her head, "I would still be working for the rpd... living by myself and working with criminals who want to do nothing but kill me. When I think about it, I never can ever picture myself anywhere but here."
Evan listened to her words, taking them into account. She was right in every sense of her words; if it weren't for this sick place, the two never would have met and he wouldn't have known Anni ever existed. It was so weird thinking about it.
— . — . —
The clock hangs over the room, menacing streak of numbers that keep changing, leading Anni towards a nightmarish night, at best, and her painful death, at worst. Everyone knows what will happen; now that they’re aware killing others in the dorms bears no consequence, the most violent of the players will wait until the lights are out to unleash their murderous fury in an atrocious blood bath.
And then there’s her. Defenseless. Like a rabbit locked in with a pack of wolves. As much as she can rely on her wits during the game, she hadn’t expected to be forced to fight for her life even at night, when there are no strict rules hanging over the participants and keeping them from hurting or killing others. There is no being smart when she is facing the sharp end of a knife or cowering under the fists of a merciless criminal, and as the numbers keep rolling above the beds, she knows she has less than a 10% survival chance.
It feels unfair.
“Why do you keep looking at the clock? You scared or something?”
Anni raise her eyes to the man standing next to her bed, the knife hidden in the palm of his hand clicking against the metallic bars in annoying sounds. Still, her blood freezes in her veins at the sight of him; his blond hair falling in front of cerulean blue eyes, the faint scars littering his face and body, the murderous fury alight in his gaze, waiting, expectant, ready to be unleashed as soon as the countdown strikes 0.
Anni doesn't know his name, and the number on his jacket is hidden under a blood stain, almost black now that it has dried, but she remembers him, and more specifically the amused smirk that keeps pulling at his lips every time he takes other players down in the games. Keiran is among the worst ones, she knows, among the criminals and murderers who are there because they need a bit of cash to escape from justice, far from the other poor souls forced to take part in such a game simply because they’ve been indebted after a few financial mistakes.
He’s the last person she’d want to see near her when the lights go out.
Because of course, he’s right. She's terrified.
“I’m not,” Anni lies, and he barks a laugh. The sound makes her feel small, defenseless, weak, as if she was nothing but a prey cowering while the predator roars in triumph right before devouring them whole.
“Don’t be so shy, princess. Want me to protect ya?”
Anni blinks, surprised as he looks down at her, smug smirk pulling at his mismatched lips. Anni wonders what he did to earn these scars, if they’re just the remains of yet another of his crimes, or if they’re simply a red flag that she should take into account before accepting whatever it is he’s offering.
It’s not as if Anni has a choice, anyway.
And maybe he’s just mocking her, playing with her feelings, giving her a sliver of hope before taking it away, but it’s all she has, so she slowly nods, and whispers;
“Please.”
His fingers are rough, calloused when they gently stroke her cheek, as if she was a kitten that he’d been dying to pet. His digits slid under her chin before raising it, forcing her to look into his eyes. Blue, beautiful, and yet there’s a sparkle of something scary burning in the cerulean irises.
“Alright princess, I’ll be your bodyguard for the night. And, don’t worry…”
His thumb rises along her chin, lingering a few seconds on her lower lip before slightly pushing until her mouth opens and he can feel the warmth of her tongue on his skin as it slips inside.
He smiles, and she doesn’t think she's ever seen anything so terrifying.
“We’ll talk about the price in the morning.”

don't know how to word it exactly but what sways me more toward tommy as buck's love interest than any other LI before is how different the initial infatuations look in comparison
abby, ali, taylor and natalia all were interested in buck but in the 'walks into dangerous situations for a living and is hot' way (and also 'young and prioritizes me' for abby, to top it off, and 'died' for natalia)
but tommy is a firefighter, pilot, etc. and used to the whole 'walks into danger' bit and knows its bullshit so all he sees in buck is an adorable dork with a heart of gold, even more adorable enthusiasm, and some awkwardness thrown into the mix - and this is how buck actually is most of the time, even when he walks into danger without hesitation
and tommy still says, 'yeah, I like this one'.
