something that is like the baseline of amys entire character to me is that shes lonely. shes clingy and physically affectionate in a way none of her friends really are, shes always getting pushed aside and left behind. yeah, she helps out people she doesnt know because shes a nice person, but also, she sees part of herself in them. she wont leave someone else behind because she knows the feeling —and more importantly, hates the feeling. if she doesnt have somebody to stand by her and be there for her, then shes going to be that person for everybody else. something something her obsession with sonic is really just like a manifestation of that desire for closeness with someone, and she thinks that romance is the only way to get that. idk... this hedgehog can have so many abandonment issues.

i think King is very confused by Dark, ngl. he's one of the very few people who don't really mind Dark bothering them (he doesn't reply often but he doesn't actively avoid them either, so Dark basically takes that as an invitation), and King doesn't find them especially malicious, so it's kind of horrifying to find out Dark did that-- but he's ALSO the only one who pays enough attention to realize how desperate they are for someone to be around sometimes?

not to mention the fact that it's kind of baffling when you look at them now, considering they are weakened a lot (but then again they should REALLY be dead so that makes sense)

and THEN he finds out that Dark is also afraid of SC when they bring them in, and that's a whole thing until they eventually find out about their powers (victim also gets pissed off at Dark for not saying anything and they get in a fight because Dark is being spiteful about victim being rude to them as well)

Dark is just a living contradiction who hates everything and everyone and they're... concerning. He's definitely horrified and angered by what Dark did, but also... what's wrong with them? Why are they like that.
