I love seeing people comment on my 03 royai work (or about fma03 in general) along the lines of "roy literally had a hot live-in girlfriend why did he decide to go be emo in the mountains" well GOOD NEWS FOR YOU I'm working on a project that not only addresses this, but also takes CoS and goes "haha okay. ANYWAYS" and gives them a meaningful resolution

Some FMA OC babbling #1

Luanne Leblanc – Age 17

The tomboyish and hot-tempered big sister of the townsfolk's children. Makes her living housekeeping the local inn, whittling/carving and chopping firewood, and ice-fishing.

She is skilled at kickboxing and on high alert, a fierce protector of the isolated island town. She has a deep-seated hatred for alchemy and those who practice it, like the military. Luanne doesn't trust Cleverflower due to her past as an Alchemist and her involvement in the war.

She trusts no one and keeps everything to herself, letting out her emotions when doing manual labor or practicing. Luanne is desperate to never let Jackie get hurt again, and even more so— prevent him from ever practicing alchemy.

She deeply resents her father for doing these things, which subsequently almost took everyone from her. That's why she holds so tightly onto Jackie, for fear of losing him too. In her mind, she only needs him in order to keep herself together. Because she's a teenage girl who lost her mother, father, and almost both of her brothers. Jackie survived by the skin of his teeth. She was deeply traumatized by the destruction that alchemy caused her family, but denies her own traumas.

Vienna Leblanc went missing during a blizzard one night and never was found again. It is unknown if she is truly deceased or if she fled and lives elsewhere. Desmond Leblanc performed human transmutation and as a result his body was never recovered.

One of the twins, Buster wanted to try and repeat the process, using double the ingredients because he believed it would be enough– naive and not aware of the Truth and the Price of human transmutation. Sharing the same blood, both he and Jackie were taken to the gate. Buster was never found, and Jackie lost his left leg and left arm. Luanne returned from grocery shopping to one less brother and almost lost Jackie too from blood loss.

(Cleverflower caught wind of the alchemical rebounds taken place within the same home, small town.) She took in the 9 year old boy and the unresponsive 15 year old girl. He refused to let Luanne see him like this, and Cleverflower commissioned automail prosthetics for Jackie at his urgings. He vowed he wouldn't let Luanne see him until he could walk, run and use his left hand again.

He would take a train all the way to Rush Valley and go through the rehabilitation process for 2 years before returning home. Luanne had become someone he didn't even recognize anymore during all that time.

Me watching all these alchemy OCs cropping up in FMA03 and going: ah yes, how can i add you to MC

Psiren is easy. Same story just set in South City. She wants to steal the StASStue for the clout. Lode and wacky detective have to stop her. They've failed every time insofar. Lode, shaking: SHE CAN'T KEEP GETTING AWAY WITH THIS Detective: She won't! *she does*

See I thought of writing Basque Grand in the West story as a really good man you know, but this bitchy Grand is rly making me consider making him worse. Same thing for Mustang, I can and will make him an even bigger asshole. This story is following Kimblee after all and just thinking of Kimblee brings out the worst in that man.

Edward in 03 is such a little shit honestly I love him.

03 Kimblee is already weak, in his shot of destruction he has a necklace with a ph stone. What's wrong, bitch, too scared to eat your stone like the manga version? Pfft. Also the yellow eyes keep throwing me off.

Maes Hughes in 03 is the best version of Maes Hughes I am in awe of him. See, if I had a Maes like this I'd keep him around for longer than 4 episodes, too.

I haven't yet reached Frank Archer but I do want to see him . I want to see what his deal is so badly. Every Kimblee slash fic is with this man it's unavoidable.

I don't know how to add Lyra, tho, I might honestly just shove her with Yoki it'd be so funny.

….ok so…. Tristamp episode 1 thoughts:

- I got the impression that Tristamp wanted to target both hardcore old fans and new people, except that… uhh… it kinda failed on both accounts. Because the fans who wanted a faithful AND complete anime adaptation (or at least more complete than Tri98) will not get that with Tristamp. And Tristamp is absolutely NOT ‘new fan friendly’. This first episode was all over the place, throwing Lore(TM) at you non stop. Let people some time to breathe, damn.

- Now, I want to say it’s not a crime if Tristamp is the anime version of this Tunglr textpost: ‘that’s not the character, that’s your OC committing identity theft’. It’s not necessarily a bad thing if an anime is not faithful to its source material (FMA03 my beloved). But what they’re doing with Meryl? It’s awful.

- So, who is Tristamp for? Well, probably for the old fans who will eat up any Trigun-related content alas I am not in this category
