btw this is probably one of the most insane and telling scenes in regards to stewy nd kendall. like the stewy-marcia interaction first off. the way it’s so clearly paralleling kenstewy with logan and marcia. stewy and marcia literally watch their respective persons in silence. also important to note that stewy was one of the first ppl to greet logan when he arrived probably bc he knew that one of the first things logan was going to do was approach kendall and he wanted to get in there first to gauge the situation + logan. but stewy’s concern for kendall in regards to what could happen when he’s in close proximity to logan is so clear and almost synonymous with marcia’s own concern/love for logan at this point. like it seems intentional that they were shown to be like. logan and kendall’s respective partners here

Modern au where Kaveh is an art professor who spends his weekends meeting his friends at the bar to play cards or jamming with them in a corner. Recently, Haitham started coming to that bar, sitting in the back pretending to be busy when he's actually there because he has a crush on the blond guy with the guitar.

One evening, while they were playing cards, one of Kaveh's friends —noticing the glances from Haitham— challenges Kaveh to go talk to him if he loses at UNO.

Well, of course, he loses lol otherwise what would I be writing about? ahah but anyway, Kaveh goes to talk to Haitham. "Excuse me, can I sit here?" he asks, genuinely embarrassed, and for a moment, Haitham is breathless. He nods, and Kaveh sits, looking at the book in his hand to start a conversation:—"You're cool when you play" but Haitham preceded him "Cool?" he smiles amusedly. "Yes—" he murmurs uncomfortably. "Do you perform anywhere?" he closes the book, leaving it on the table. "Not really, we just have a channel on YouTube" he says. "It's nothing special, we don't really have time for these things" he blushes. "Pity" he looks into Kaveh's eyes, unexpectedly feeling at ease. "Can I follow you on there?" he asks, receiving an affirmative answer. He leaves the name of the channel on the bar napkin, along with the Instagram page if he wants to follow them there too. "See you, Kaveh" he says, carefully tucking the napkin into his wallet. "Hey!" he calls out before he exits the door. "What's your name?" the man smiles. "Haitham" and with a final farewell, he leaves, leaving Kaveh momentarily stunned but happy.

Wrong.

The Dead God's Pad appeared to be in stasis - as if the previous Conductor's time stop powers were in effect. However, it's a place that awakens when a Soul enters - lights and color return, jukeboxes whirl to life, and angel fish swim up to happily greet the visitor.

Gone for three months, so many variables and values had changed. Returning to a familiar place, minus familiar faces, bound in a unfamiliar body...

The result: wrong.

The first bit was influenced by the DGP when it's time stopped during the battle with Kitaniji and just wondering what happens to the DGP before and during NEO, and explore what safe places Minamimoto might hide away in.

The bit with Coco was based on this except from the official NEO: The World Ends With You guidebook, from KHInsider's translation:

—In the original TWEWY, Minamimoto had patterns on his arm. Why did they disappear this time around?

Kando: Minamimoto was once Taboo, but Coco revived him in "A NEW DAY", so something about that must have made him be reborn as a "beautiful Minamimoto". In fact, when it comes to this, it's clear that the Minamimoto we see here has become something different from the one we knew.

It's also why I gave him two whiskers here. His NEO sprite has two whiskers, when his OG self had three. So it's an extension on Coco's "beautiful Minamimoto". Although by the time NEO occurs, I'm sure he could have picked up a new pair of whiskers and re-tattooed his arm, but you know, it's symbolic and stuff!

Edit: It's been brought up that he does have 3 whiskers in some of his official art. (And I forgot, his model too, oops. It's been a while since I did a check over.) So here's a proper acknowledgement. And... I dunno? I looked at his sprites and some of the official art way back and had decided I wanted to address what I thought was his 2 whisker state in the A Healthy Dose of Chaos AU which this comic can lead up to. In my head it stuck with me and I thought I had been consistent in my own art, but I guess I haven't too, so that's also my bad.
