Lentil soup recipe 🤤
P.s. I am very bad at having the right measurements, I just go with " what feels right " lol..
Ingredients: 1 red onion, 2 medium tomatoes, 1 carrot, 1 small zucchini -> all chopped into small cubes. + Some red lentils that I soaked in water for about 10 mins.
You put everything together in a bit of vegetal oil, add whichever spices you like, I had garlic powder, paprika, ginger powder, I wish I had black pepper it would have been amazing. You keep adding water and waiting for the veggies to be cooked, when it starts to boil you add one table spoon of tomato sauce for thickness, you add your water, a little salt, and just let it dance.. if you have green pepper you can also put some but I didn't have any. Eventually once it is ready and has thickened, you blend it ! I didn't have a blender I actually used the food processor and it gave me a smooth creamy structure. I put back on the stove, added one table spoon of olive oil and simmered for a couple of minutes, perfection 😍😍👌🏽
I topped with chopped parsley because why not !!
Bon appétit 😘

Ayy, can you drop that tofu recipe?
Note that I literally used no measurements, I just sort of mixed shit together till it tasted good, so I can't give exact amounts.
The sauce contains diced chilies, garlic and ginger, and you mix those up with a combination of soy sauce, mirin, sesame oil, gochujang and honey. Measure that shit with your heart.
You gotta dry out your tofu as much as possible, or else it gets all soggy and kinda gross when you coat it in corn starch and pan fry it. If you dried it out enough, they're supposed to crisp up a little, and once they are, you just toss in the sauce and let it thicken up a little bit.
You can add green onions and sesame seeds as a garnish.

Whats your favorite food?
I dont have much variety in my food choices in my life

and as I trust strangers on the internet more than I should
I want to ask whats youre favorite thing to eat

Finding a good recipe isn’t as simple as it should be. Photos can’t always be trusted and estimated cooking times can be a bit too optimistic for the everyday home cook. With endless options online and countless books available to buy, things can get a bit overwhelming.
In 1983 Heidi Lascelles came up with an intriguing concept, a bookstore with a small kitchen that could put cookbooks to the test. A different book would be chosen every day and recipes from that book would be cooked and served for lunch in-store. Regular customer Eric Treuille would frequent the shop hoping to get the attention of a charming staff member named Rosie and before he knew it, they would eventually take over running the store together.
Eric has been in the business long enough to know what makes a book special. Having cooked hundreds of recipes from different cuisines, tell him what you're looking for and he’ll be able to recommend the right book in a heartbeat. If you don’t know what you want, that’s not a problem either! Drop in for lunch and you might get to try something that surprises you, but… only if you stick to Eric’s rules…

How to make soup:
Get you:
1. Leftover meat of your choice, or not.
2. Bones from the meat and any parts of the animal you don't eat if you have them.
3. Store bought stock.
4. A big ass carrot or about a pound of little carrots.
5. A pound of potatoes. I used sweet.
6. About 5 celery stalks.
7. 3 tablespoons of minced garlic. I get the canned kind so I don't have to mince it.
8. An onion, or just get a container of minced onions like I did because I hate cutting onions.
9. A tablespoon of poultry seasoning.
10. Tablespoon of rosemary
11. A tablespoon of salt.
12: 3 tablespoons of lemon juice.
Bear in mind that these are starter measurements. The flavors will cook off over time so it's best to add more as you go until it tastes right to you.
Step 1: Put your bones and other parts into a large pot with the store bought stock. Once that's added fill the pot up the rest of the way with water, until it's just covering everything.
Step 2: cut vegetables, Add the onions, garlic, and seasonings to the pot.
Step 3: bring to a boil.
Step 4: reduce to low and simmer for an hour.
Step 5: add the carrots and simmer for another hour.
Step 6: Bring up to a medium heat, add the potatoes, meat, celery, and lemon juice. Cook for at least another 25 minutes.
Step 7: check the carrots and potatoes with a fork. It should easily go though the potato and the carrot should be tender but should not be falling apart soft.
Remember: Taste the broth regularly to make sure you don't need to add any more seasonings. Nobody likes bland soup.

💌 Let me put y’all onto a meal! I’ve been trying to eat healthier and lose a bit of weight and this is by far my favorite meal to do so!
All it takes it : a small tortilla, the egg whites of two eggs, basil pesto, cheese ( i use emmental but mozzarella is probably amazing too! ) and olives.
Oil or butter your pan ( I try not to use too much ) and scramble your egg whites that you added salt, pepper, paprika ( or whatever you like ) to. cover your tortilla with a generous amount of pesto before removing the scrambled eggs and putting them on the tortilla. Now put the tortilla on the pan and add your other toppings : cheese and olives. Now you can close it like a taco or eat it as it is!
Voila! There you have a yummy, and quite low cal meal 💗💗
