Saleen S1, 2019. The only fully functional mid-engined S1 prototype has failed to sell in an eBay auction, bidding rose to $150,000 but failed to meet the reserve. The S1 was introduced in 2017 but apart from 20 units of the Saleen S1 Cup racecar created for a canceled one-make series in 2019, this prototype is the only S1 with a functional drivetrain. The car offered doesn’t have a VIN number and is currently limited for track use.

haha all good! and my friend WAS enticing me into getting some stupid (really cool) glass rose doorknob looking thing. for now I'm banking on my cheap-and-normal looking one showing up tomorrow so I can at least be secure in the notion that my doorknob is functional.

But if I can do that successfully and file "capable of replacing doorknob" into my manilla folder of skills, then I totally might shop around for a cool looking spindle doorknob when I'm feeling like spending a little bit of treat-myself money.
