S5 Interstellar theory

*Full Interstellar spoilers if you care*

Thinking about how in Interstellar, love is what saves humanity. It's explained that love is the only thing that transcends all dimensions, including time and space. Coop tries to find a way to communicate with Murphy in the past to keep him from leaving on the space mission, which is what caused the devastating lifelong seperation between the two of them, and no matter what... the world was doomed. No matter how hard everyone tried, the end was coming.

Thinking about how Will leaving Mikes house on Nov. 6th is what spiraled all the events that lead to the rift between them, and no matter how hard all the kids tried... the world was doomed. The upside down was coming to split open the earth no matter how hard they tried.

When it looks like all hope is lost, death was knocking at Coopers door, EVERYONES door, he realizes that love is the driving force towards the answer. The draw that him and Murphy have towards each other is what leads to all of humanity being saved.

"My connection with Murph, it is quantifiable. It's the key."-Cooper

The flickering of the garage light is akin to Cooper shoving books off the bookshelf to signal for him to stay, back on the day that he first left. The flickering being a move from future Will to get Mikes attention.

But the books (& light flickers) fail to get him to stay. It isn't until Murphy is an adult when her love finally drives her to continue searching for answers, which leads Cooper to be able to communicate with Murph through morse code (very in line with ST) on the watch he gave her, to give her the data he collected in the black hole that will allow Murph to solve the gravitational equation that is able to save mankind.

Cooper turns out to just be the messenger, but Murphy is actually the chosen one. Cooper is not able to stop himself from leaving in the beginning, it doesn't prevent the events that transpired from happening, it doesn't un-do anything, but it gives Murphy answers that are able to save everyone in the best case scenario. Everything that happened HAD to happen exactly as it did.

This is sounding like Hoppers line of "turns out that getting to Mike was the key" is likely just as on the nose as we've been thinking.

"I don't care much for this pretending we're back where we started. I wanna know where we are. Where we're going." - Cooper at the end.

Hey unironically i think i should be hired by streaming sercives to fix their subtitles. I think there should be a way for viewers/streamers to report bad or inaccurate subtitles or ways they could be improved. I think they should be able to ask for better translations or ask to be told what language is being spoken if they switch languages. I think this should be an option for big blockbusters and random indie movies and international shows/movies and i think streaming companies should stop paying for the cheapest fucking options for their captioning

Okay. I’ll bite. Sorry if I’ve asked before and forgot. But what is leverage?

No worries! I'm always happy to explain stuff (And I don't think you've asked about it before)

Leverage is an American tv show that started in 2008 and is centered around one guy (Nate) who works for an insurance company hunting down thieves or something. (I have no idea what his official job title is)

Anyways, he quits the insurance company because Reasons And Drama, and then gets recruited to run a heist with several criminals: Parker (Thief), Hardison (Hacker), and Eliot (Hitter/Guy Who Punches People). There's also a character named Sophie who's a Grifter/Conwoman.

Anyways, things go as they go and eventually the crew decides that their talents are better used to help people than stealing things for their own profit. This is where the title comes in, as they work to provide leverage for people who don't have the money and resources to protect themselves from Big Companies and Rich People.

I really like it because it's just silly and fun and the good guys always win. The bad guys who hurt people might seem like they're going to win for a moment, but in the end they always lose and the innocent get what they deserve.
