They are gentle creatures. And many are very endangered.”#don't get me wrong here; I love this scene a lot. LWJ's string technique is one of my favoyrite things.#We do get a fair amount of LWJ fighting but I always loved how the theme of strings comes into play.#There is actually a lot to unpack with LWJ being associate with 'strings'.#The musicianship: Of dedication and rigor in one's practice.#The tension between following along a path or composing your own way forwards (playing what has been written vs composing)#A string is a tightly coiled/taunt entity; The same tension that makes it sing so beautifully can be it's downfall if pushed too hard.#And as a non-musical string - something that binds. Be it to his sect and family or how he binds his fate to WWX -#LWJ cannot exist without his binds. It is not something which ties him down though. It keeps him together.#And he himself *is* a bind. He 'ties wwx down' in ways that are initially negatively viewed ('come to gusu' - feels like: come be trapped)#But later it is shown how (despite being introduced as a free spirit) WWX truly wants to be bound to something and someone.#Marriage is a bind he wants. He wants to be tied and grounded by LWJ.#It's starting to sound like innuendo. Let's call his fondness for being literally tied up smart thematic writing.#Finally. Sex scenes that are important to the plot and characters

overtime we’ve seen the systematic dehumanization of mulsim and palestinian men as they’ve been labeled terrorists. we continue to sympathize with the victimized women and children but there’s something to be said for the men who are losing their loved ones, photographing everything for the world to see, looking underneath rubble for survivors, performing surgeries with no lights, and furthermore, also suffering during this time. crazy how in c2 they'll have three extensive convos checking in with each other while traveling like an hour in-game meanwhile in c3 they've been on the moon for days and still haven't discussed the following:

#zeno's art #ultimate x-calibur #ocs #nova starbridge #optico #this was kind of spontaneous #most of the time when i make an illustration everything about it is in my mind already #but this was just based off a doodle that i decided to finish #i dont like this piece too much. i think i should've gone about the lineart differently - i also think it looks too clean #if that makes sense #i payed a bit of attention to values but the grayscale plan and the end result's grayscales are definitely very different #in the end i dont like this piece but i did like drawing nova's expression and the world behind her with the exaggerated city #i dont want to be too negative on it though... it was fun to draw #i hope everyone likes it. also i dont have a plan for a halloween piece just yet but ill try and find some free time to get one done #im booked and busy next month with studying so dont expect much

Season 2 episode 2 is almost nothing but misery and anguish #Helena by Nickle Creek does not quite fit the comic's vibe but it is absolutely a Xue Yang song so I linked it.#The change from “Helena don't walk away...(gentle)” to “HELENA. DON'T WALK AWAY (threat)” is fantastic.#And “Don't waste your pretty sympathy - I'll always be just fine”. Xue Yang core.#Okay now for the real meat. Disclaimer first: *I really like XY.* I think he's a great character. I think his actions consistently-#come from a place of deep trauma. While his reactions and actions put him in a villainous role he is still human about his hurt #and what I'm about to say is NOT intended to be a statement of causality or villianize a group of misunderstood people.#So with that said...Man oh man does Xue Yang have a lot of BPD traits. More that just 'character who is chronically manipulative'.#The impulsivity and emotional reactions and seeking stability makes him feel like he needs that control. What other choice is there?#The part that really gets me is how he *wants* to be safe and happy. But his past experiences tell him how thats impossible #He's the kind of person who goes 'if you don't like me then you better hate me for something substantial". All (pos) or All (neg)#''Love me entirely or Hate me. But don't you dare leave me or forget about me.''#Not at all comfortable saying 'BPD coded'. Im not a psychiatrist. Just that he has TRAITS. Feel free to disagree or add your thoughts.#ppl with bpd also are not a monolith and everyone has very different experiences. Xue yang is very complex. People more so.

insane that declans entire character revolves around the exhaustion of being parentised his entire life and at AGED 21 all he wants is like 1 singular weekend off. Which he could easily do if RONAN took any amount of responsibility at all. And this went on for 4+2 books. And then you know how Greywaren ended??? it ended with Ronan fucking off zero responsibility and declan still raising Matthew and worrying that now BOTH HIS WIFE and his brother could drop any moment bc of their stupid as fuck dreamers
