I am not feeling well at all. Which sucks because it is for nothing! I just feel so bad!! I don't know why and so I don't know what to do about it. Very frustrated. Looking forward to going to sleep.
We got home last night within the hour. I was a little miserable when we got back and desperately wanted to sleep. We would bring everything inside. James brushed their teeth while I took a shower. And pretty quickly we were in bed. I fell asleep pretty quickly. And I slept well.
I don't remember James leaving for work. And I slept until around 9. When I woke up I just laid there for a while. Not even looking at my phone yet. Just being there.
James said that we were just a little zonked. This is the best way to describe it. Just creaky and tired but mostly fine. I would wash my face and get dressed and felt alright.
I would focus on some cleaning this morning. I vacuumed. I moved the couch and shifted our rug. I changed the kitty litter. I was really happy with myself. Accomplishing something.
I would empty the dishwasher. And make some outfits for the week. And then decided it was time to go for a drive.
I would head over to Glen Burnie to go to value village. I haven't been in a thrift store in like forever. And I had a lot of fun. I had some excellent finds today!
I found two dear america books. Which is always great. I would loop the store a few times. I found a plaid soft dress and a sweater dress and I think both will be great for the winter. I also found a striped shirt for James that I think makes them look like a masc lesbian and that's all they ever really want so it's perfect.
I found a beautiful pearl frame. And some fun goofy wall pieces. One is a really neat piece that's made of silk flowers.
I would head down the road and decided on five guys for lunch. Me and another woman were both trying to do pull through parking and it was totally fine but when we both got out of our cars she apologized and I was like nah we're good we were like ships passing. She told me to have a nice day and I told her it was beautiful out so I will and she got a big smile on her face. It was a nice interaction.
I enjoyed my lunch. I was listing to last podcast on the left which I haven't been for a while. So it's nice to have a backlog to listen to.
I kept going down the road to go to goodwill. I don't really like that goodwill much but I had two excellent finds. First I found the perfect snoopy plush. This felt so serendipitous because I have been looking online for a few weeks for a plush textured snoopy with almond eyes. And this one is exactly that?m incredible. I had a snoopy plush when I was a kid who has been lost to time and I am very pleased to have a new one. I have always really loved snoopy but I'm also very picky about him.
I also found an incredible fleece with a silk lining. But the best thing is it has a built in scarf! I literally was just looking at a jacket like that last week and thought it was so smart and now I have one! And I love it. It feels so elegant but not fussy.
The nice man at the cash register let me know there were more Snoopy's if I was looking for them but I was good with just this one. And then it was time to go home.
It was a pretty okay drive until right before I turned on our street. When someone who was clearly nodding off something drifted into my lane and almost slammed into me and I was so angry. They looked up with me with like no recognition that something had happened and then they were basically diagonal on the road. It was crazy. I was so heated. He was so lucky I did not come after him because he shouldn't have been on the road. It was insane and I was so mad I had to take deep breaths as I got home.
When I got back I put my new things away. I hung up my two frames items. I decided I would play a game. I haven't done that in forever.
Dad called me and we talked for a little bit. About visit next week. About some other small things. It was mostly just really nice to what both my parents for a little while. I love them both very much.
After I got off the phone I sat down with a lemonade and played animal crossing. I built a curry restaurant with the owners living upstairs with their baby. It was fun. But by the end I just desperately wanted to lay down. My head was starting to hurt. Sweetp has been sitting with me the whole time and while that was nice, my allergies were staring to kick off.
I took some medicine and laid down. I would watch a video but eventually would fall asleep. I woke up at 530 when I heard James. James says they kissed my forehead like 6 times but I never knew!! I texted them hello but didn't move or anything until after 6. I felt horrible.
James would try to make me feel better. They made us spaghetti for dinner. Which did help a little but I still was doing very bad.
I took a long bath. And the hot water was very nice. I kept joking to James I wish I was able to bath in warm gel. Like hair gel. I think that would fix me.
I still didn't feel great after the bath. James pulled out another blanket for our bed, per my request. And now we are in bed. I think I would like a snack. I wish we had cereal but that's okay.
Tomorrow we have a nice day tomorrow. Maybe well go get a pumpkin. I have my rhumatologist appointment for the month. I am going to tell them my neck and lower back are still hurting me a lot. See if they have something else they can give me besides the muscle relaxer that I did not like.
Sleep well everyone. I hope you are feeling well.

The V-Neck T-Shirt

V-necks can be dressed up or down, making them a versatile addition to your collection of casual t-shirts for men.
The Henley
Henley t-shirts are a step up from the basic tee, featuring a button placket at the front.
This style adds a touch of sophistication while still maintaining a casual vibe. Henleys can be short or long-sleeved, and they pair well with jeans or joggers for a comfortable yet stylish outfit.
When browsing through a casual wear store, don't overlook this classic piece.

They are perfect for casual outings and can be paired with anything from jeans to shorts. Ensure you have a few of these eye-catching casual tees in your collection.

The Striped Tee
Striped t-shirts bring a touch of nautical flair to your wardrobe. Whether you prefer thin pinstripes or bold, wide stripes, this style is a timeless classic.
Striped tees can be worn with jeans, shorts, or even under a blazer for a more polished casual look.
Adding a few striped tees to your collection of casual t-shirts for men will ensure you have options for a variety of occasions.
The Longline Tee
Longline t-shirts are perfect for those who prefer a more modern and edgy look. These tees extend slightly longer than traditional t-shirts, often falling below the hips.
Longline tees are great for layering and can be paired with skinny jeans or joggers for a contemporary, streetwear-inspired outfit.
Check out your local casual wear store for a selection of longline tees to elevate your style.
The Raglan Tee
Raglan t-shirts, also known as baseball tees, feature contrasting sleeves that extend to the collar in a diagonal seam.

With its collar and button placket, the polo shirt offers a slightly dressier option while still maintaining a casual vibe.
Polos can be worn with chinos, jeans, or even shorts for a variety of looks. Make sure to include a few polos in your collection of casual t-shirts for men for those occasions when you need to dress up just a bit.

Hello! I have kinda a longwinded question about fantasy dwarves, ive read your posts about the topic and id like to know if what im considering is distancing the idea of 'dwarves' from the real history of little people. I have a homebrew d&d world where ive created a fair bit of worldbuilding for a number of fantasy races, dwarves included. Everything you were saying about fantasy dwarves makes total sense, and I dont want to perpetuate that, so I'd like to change my homebrew setting to be more respectful of LP and their history. Is changing the name and physical characteristics (i.e. Not having the species called dwarves, not having them be small humanoid mining people, etc) and including fleshed out characters with dwarfism in other races enough to distance this from real little people?
To make up for a potentially heavy question: all the outfits you post are Excellent, what are your favorite clothes to find and alter? Or, is there any piece in your wardrobe you really love/ are proud of? I dont alter too much of my clothing but i always treasure finding a pair of pants i can reasonably take in and make work for me! Thank you for always being so friendly and open in asks, its very much appreciated and I hope you're having a good day!
Hello! Thank you for these questions ^-^ I've noticed that a lot of dnd players and world builders are working to create more accepting settings for their players, which is a great endeavor for the world of fantasy.
Q: Is changing the name and physical characteristics (i.e. not having the species called dwarves, not having them be small humanoid mining people, etc) and including fleshed out characters with dwarfism in other races enough to distance this from real little people?
Solid question - I think that the only real way to distance real little people from fantasy "dwarves" is to drop the made up race all together, which you would already essentially be doing once you stray from the necessary characteristics that draw the parallel. Basing a made up race of beings off of a marginalized community shouldn't be happening - full stop. And it shouldn't be missed. Yes, freely include little people in the fantasy genre, but don't use their bodies to mystify them. Don't turn them into a class other than human.
And removing "dwarves" as a race classification is really just a drop in the bucket. Include real little people in ALL genres outside of fantasy. Create positive representation. Use media as a means of destigmatizing and romanticizing bodies like mine, and step outside of the written word; Fight for equality for real life little people, and by extension the entire disabled community. Take stands against inaccessibility, workplace and medical discrimination, healthcare inequality. Educate yourself on spoon theory, take up sign language, question the nature of the world we've built in the same way you do regarding gender, sexuality, race and mental illness.
Q: All the outfits you post are Excellent, what are your favourite clothes to find and alter? Or, is there any piece in your wardrobe you really love/are proud of?
Thank you so much ^-^ well I'm a really big fan of earth tones and mixed patterns - lots of browns, greens, blacks, and mustards. I love finding things that I don't have to alter, but when I must I like to adjust sleeves - skirts and dresses are a bit more work. Currently my favorite garment is the skirt seen in the top left photo (description: knee length polyester skirt that sits at high waist, black with diagonal matte gold stripes) which I love to pair with both green pallets and red and yellow pallets. Mostly I love to have a lot of witchy fun with my clothes :)

The first photo is a mirror selfie of me with my rollator, I am wearing a stripped black and gold skirt, and earth toned floral shirt with a black with gold stars scarf as a belt. On my black rollator hangs a totoro plushie and my mossy green jacket. In the second photo I am in a long black skirt and studded black leather belt, a brown sweater vest, and green button up and black beanie. My hair is short, curly, and dark green. The third photo is one a friend took, I am wearing my mossy green jacket that has a frog patch that reads "I may look grumpy but I'm happy to be alive", I am wearing a mustard and green scarf and matching purple pants and sweater. I have on round glasses and a peter pan inspired green beanie with a red feather. In the last photo I have my rollator again and am in front of a mirror, my hair is green and I have on red eye make up. I am wearing a mustard and brown patterned shirt with a green vest with gold floral embroidery. My skirt is brown with red and green roses on it, coming down to my knees. KEEP YOUR HANDS OFF THE FUN GANG! (a.k.a. the Lancer Fan Club, a.k.a. the $!$! Squad)
Unnecessarily long description under the cut! I hope
[ID: A digital art piece depicting Susie, Ralsei, and Kris from Deltarune as they appear in the Dark World, mimicking the poses from the opening of the anime Keep Your Hands Off Eizouken! From top to bottom: Susie takes the place of Kanamori Sayaka. Facing the viewer, she leans her upper body towards the right of the screen, with the heel of her left hand on her forehead and her right arm extended out from her side toward the left of the screen. Her purple skin is covered in darker purple freckles, and magenta bangs obscure her eyes from view. Her snout is still visible, along with a slight grin, revealing pointy teeth. The rest of her hair falls around her shoulders to her mid-back. She is dressed in a purple shirt with a rolled collar and a short-sleeved black jacket with purple trim and golden spikes at the hems of the sleeves, as well as spiky wristbands. The background of her third is a reddish salmon color overlaid with five-and-a-bit rows of light grey upside-down hearts in regular diagonals, representing monster souls.
In the middle third section, Ralsei takes the place of Mizusaki Tsubame. Covered in fluffy black . . . fur? Or maybe wool — he twirls happily in place, his right arm swinging in front of him, palm up, and his left arm bent over his head in the opposite direction, palm down. He is dressed in his classic green cloak with a black heart in the middle (partly obscured by his right arm), his pointy green hat (with two additional points for his horns), and the pink scarf, which is also caught in the twirling. His green glasses cover his white eyes, which are shut as he smiles happily, and are tucked under his fluffy ears to keep them in place. The background is a bright yellow-green with 5 rows of triangles, alternating row-by-row between point-up white triangles and point-down dark grey triangles, representing the Delta Rune symbol as well as the Lightners (white triangles) and Darkners (dark grey triangles).
In the bottom third of the picture, Kris substitutes for Asakusa Midori. They are angled at a 3/4 view toward the right of the screen, frowning slightly but otherwise expressionless. Their right arm, bent at the elbow, comes in front of their chest, bending down at the wrist with their hand in a fist. Their left arm is raised as if they are signaling they’re going to turn right at an intersection but with a closed fist instead (so, elbow raised to shoulder height, then bent back slightly at the wrist). They are dressed in a short-sleeved navy blue undersuit, which matches the navy shoulder-length hair that obscures their eyes, and are wearing light silver plate armor composed of pauldrons, a cuirass, and gauntlets. A reddish-pink and blue striped scarf tied around their neck covers their left pauldron and left arm up to their mid-forearm. The background is a bright turquoise, slightly paler than that of their skin, with five-and-a-bit rows of bright red hearts spaced in regular diagonals, representing the human soul. /end ID]

Trigger warnings: descriptions of an injury, specifically a burn
--------
Memories were funny things for Juno Steel.
They came when he didn’t call them and hadn’t asked for them. When he needed them, he couldn’t find them, only the ragged edged gaps where they’d once been. And they were never whole either. They came as sounds, one random lyric from a song his brother used to warm up to or the sound of his mother’s footsteps in the hall or the way the coffee maker in the HCPD had always sputtered close to the end of its cycle. They came as smells, Buddy’s hairspray or the way the hallways had reeked in his old high school, the milky smell of when his babies had been brand new or Rita’s goddamn salmon things. They were fractured and jumbled and awkward to hold.
And they were so hard to tell from reality. One moment Juno was up to his elbows in soapy water, taking advantage of the boys actually going to bed at a reasonable time to get the dinner dishes done. He was whistling a song that had been on the radio as he’d driven back from the office, tapping the hell of his bare foot against the tiles in time with the beat that existed only in his head. He was tired, he had a few new aches to catalogue and he was perfectly happy.
And the next moment his nose was full of burning ozone, scorched fabric, heat and blood.
Juno froze, hands stilling and letting the plate he’d been soaping drop back into the water. Suddenly he was pulled into a handful of times and places at once. He was at the practise range at the academy, he was trying not to be sick the first time a perp had shot at him, he was pounding on his brother’s bedroom door and begging him to answer, he was lying on the floor of the Carte Blanche and seeing Sasha shake, he was a cop, he was a kid, he was a pirate, he was a twin without a brother. All because of a smell in the air.
And he might have shook himself, pushed it all away and told himself not to be an idiot if he hadn’t heard the voice and realised it wasn’t a memory.
“Mama? I...I’m sorry…”
It wasn’t a memory. Juno whirled, eye wide, heart no closer to restarting in his chest. His oldest daughter stood just behind him, holding her arm tightly with a hand that trembled, with skin that was ashen and a face wet with tears. His old coat was black from elbow to shoulder, one stripe of it completely gone and giving a glimpse of raw, red skin. A laser burn from a distance, it had just glanced off her but it was enough.
She looked so scared.
“Bianca?” he breathed, not really wanting to believe this was actually happening. His daughter was off on a job, of course she could never tell them much about it but she was meant to be off being young and reckless and having fun and swinging on starlight, just like her daddy did.
“I...I thought I got away but I missed one of the guards,” Bianca’s voice was tight, adrenaline clearly the only thing holding back the pain, “Mama…”
Juno swallowed hard, putting a firm, hard foot on his panic and shoving down hard. His baby girl needed him and when it was over he could go and find a quiet corner to scream and cry and rage about it. But for now he needed to get a goddamn grip.
“Bathroom,” he moved forward, sliding an arm to take her weight, just in time as her knees buckled.
Suddenly her free hand was bunched in his shirt tight enough to pinch his skin, his arms holding her as easily as if she was two instead of twenty two. As if she was as small and delicate as she had been then, when he’d first met her and realised just how much he’d be willing to give to keep her safe…
No. Not now.
He went to call for Nureyev, he was doing yoga in their bedroom, but Bianca’s hand tightened and she gave a strained, pained whine through her teeth.
“No,” she begged, breathing coming hard and shallow, the pain of her wound coming in through the cracks as she realised she was safe and didn’t need to run on sheer adrenaline, “Please don’t, not until...not until it’s covered up, I don’t want him to see…”
Juno went to protest but stopped himself, they didn’t have time and he couldn’t say she was wrong. Nureyev didn’t need to see this part, his husband’s field medicine skills weren’t as practised and when he saw the state their daughter was in, it wouldn’t even have mattered. He would freeze and he would break. Juno didn’t blame him in the slightest, he’d nearly gone himself, but he couldn’t hold both of them together.
So he kept quiet and carried his daughter to the poky bathroom of their apartment, moving quickly and quietly as he could past the twin’s bedroom.
“You need to keep talking for me, kiddo,” he said through gritted teeth, as soon as the door was shut behind them, “Tell me how you got in without any of us hearing you. Give me all the details.”
Bee Bee managed a weak chuckle as he sat her down against the edge of the bath, “I’m not giving you all my secrets, mama…”
Juno could dredge a smile for her, if she was going to make the effort, throwing it over his shoulder as he wrenched open the medicine cabinet and pulled out one of the many emergency first aid kits stowed around the apartment.
“Then give me all the moons of Jupiter in size order, biggest to smallest. I know your daddy made you memorise them.”
Bee Bee swallowed hard, shifting as she started to slump, “Um...Ganymede. Callisto…”
“Good, good girl,” Juno was more focused on pulling out the scissors and cutting away the ruins of the coat sleeve so he could start cleaning and dressing it, but as long as he could hear her talking he knew she was conscious.
“Io…oh mama, no, your coat…” Bianca tried to lean away from the blades.
“Bee Bee, I don’t know if you noticed but I care about you a little more than I care about some ratty old coat,” Juno sighed, ignoring her weak protests.
He couldn’t help but wince as he saw her arm, fully exposed. The bolt had only grazed her but clearly it had been set to kill, it had scorched a clean edged, diagonal path along the top of her arm. If she hadn’t been running away, if the person had fired a second before…
Juno shook himself and focused, it was clean and wouldn’t need more than a gentle dousing with cold water which he quickly set to. Don’t think about what could have happened, focus on what’s in front of you.
It broke his heart when she hissed in pain, the second where she clearly wanted to pull away from him, however much he could rationalise it. But he’d been doing some version of this for a long time, from the first time Bee had caught her tiny fingers in the door on the Carte Blanche.
“Hey,” he gently reached over and turned her face to him, “Just look at me, okay? You’re doing so well.”
His brave Bianca took a shaky breath and nodded, ‘Himalia is next. In the size order.”
Juno smiled with a soft, tired pride, motioning for her to go on as he applied a thin layer of salve and started to bind it with the smart tech bandages that wrapped tightly around her arm with no effort from him. They’d hold it fast and safe, healing the torn and blistering skin underneath until barely a trace remained.
But Bianca wouldn’t forget this. This would be another one of her memories, the ones that would come up when least welcome and stop her in her tracks when she thought she was safe.
Juno contented himself with doing what he could for her now. He helped her up, though her legs were still shaky, helping her take shuffling steps to her bedroom, the one they still kept exactly as she’d left it the last time she visited. Neither he nor his husband could ever bring themselves to move anything around, happy to admit to themselves that they were just waiting until their daughter came home again. So the old stuffed animals were still lining the bottom of the bed, the books were still piled on the nightstand, there were still soft blankets ready for her to sink down onto.
“Right,” Juno brushed a hand over her curls, “Now water, painkillers and lots of rest. Got it, kiddo?”
“Yes mama,” she sighed, leaning into his touch, “Um...I think I want to see daddy now.”
He saw the guilt flicker through her dark eyes and he softened it with a kiss to her forehead. He understood the instinct to protect people you cared about, feeling like you couldn’t let them see you cry or fall or hurt because you’d see just how much they cared about you and it could be so scary. Knowing so much of someone else’s happiness rested with you.
He left her to get settled, needing to take a few deep breaths as soon as the door closed. Just a little longer.
Nureyev was just stepping out of their room, his long hair pushed back from his face with a band that had probably once been Bianca’s. He looked calm, content, and his whole face lit up when he saw his wife walking towards him. Having to watch all that unravel, that would hurt Juno as much as any of it.
He tried to speak clearly, concisely, only repeating again and again that she was fine, that there would be no lasting damage or even a mark. But he wasn’t sure any of it actually got through after he finally said the words ‘Bianca’s been shot’. Because that was when he pushed past him and started running down the hall. Cursing under his breath, Juno took off but couldn’t hope to catch his husband on those legs, only getting there when the bedroom door was already open.
He was braced for tears, he was braced for the anger that sometimes came when Nureyev was feeling too much to hold within himself and had to lash out to try and grasp some control. He was braced to have to pull his husband out of there.
What he found was his husband and his daughter embracing as tightly as her wound would allow.
“I’m sorry, daddy,” Bianca was sniffling, har face pressed to his shoulder, where it had always fit so perfectly ever since she was small, “I know you said to check, you said and I thought I did but…”
Nureyev shook his head, his own voice thick but steady, “No, no, it’s okay. You did nothing wrong, as long as you’re okay.”
“Promise?” Bianca mumbled, still sounding a little like a child wondering what her punishment would be.
“Oh my treasure,” Nureyev drew back to hold her face in his hands, “I promise. All I care about is that you’re whole and well and...and next time, you will see it. You’ll get better and better every time, just like I did. I just couldn’t be more thankful it was no worse but...next time will be better.”
Bianca’s face flooded with obvious relief, she’d clearly been worried her daddy’s first response would have been to ground her. Juno had to admit, he’d expected it too.
Nureyev only touched her bandages lightly, checking everything was in place, “But...if you wanted to stay here for just a few days just while you healed? We could make room for you?”
Bianca gave a tired smile, rolling her eyes, “Only if you could make the room, of course.”
Juno leaned against the doorframe, giving them a few more moments together before joining them, giving Bianca some time before having to endure both of her parents fussing over her. As he watched Nureyev draw Bee Bee back in to hug her tightly and let her rest against him, he felt other times overlapping it, other times he’d seen that light in Nureyev’s eyes, the smile he saved only for their babies, the way they clung to him and looked to him for safety. He felt the years they’d spent together as parents, the memories sending warmth running through his chest, soothing the anxiety still gnawing there, giving him a few more hours before he’d need to release it. Hopefully Nureyev would be in his arms by then.
Memories were funny things for Juno Steel. But some were everything.

Summary: Delia thinks Beej should leave the house more. Unfortunately, some people think otherwise. (Rated Teen for Language.)
Warnings: blood, some strong language, homophobia, LGBTphobic language, referenced abuse
Genre: hurt/comfort(?)
Characters: Beetlejuice, Delia Deetz, Juno (briefly)
Please let me know what warnings to add, if necessary. If you are LGBT, know that I love and support you!
Delia felt bad for Beetlejuice. He was constantly cooped up in the house by himself. Unfortunately this led to situations in which she hated the demonic bastard. But. In the end, he'd apologize and help her with the garden or let her plant flowers in his ever embarrassed pink hair. Despite the whole shitshow a while back (and the fact that he was impossibly old) she had started to think of him as a son. So one day, she asked him to help her with the garden.
Delia kneeled among her precious tulips, pulling up the weeds that threatened to choke the poor beauties out. The porch creaked and she looked up. On the steps was Beetlejuice, wearing his craggy suit... and a sun hat... that looked exactly like Delia's. Delia reached a hand up and found that, yes, her straw sun hat was still there.
"What do you need me to eat now, Daisy?" She had gotten into a habit of asking Beej to eat the creepy crawlies that infested her garden. Today, this was not the case. Beej sat down next to her and took off his hat before he started eating it. Delia winced as he crunched.
"Nothing today. I wanted to ask if you'd like to come clothes sho-"
"Yes, yes, yes, yes! Please!" Beej looked at her, pleading deeply with his amber eyes. "I love clothes shopping!" Says the man who wears the same thing every goddamn day. "It's so much fun! All the textures and the colours!" His hair had turned a radioactive happy green while the dying daisies that were growing there became minty.
"Calm down," Delia laid her hands on Beej's shoulders and he stopped rambling about the first time he used a cotton gin. "Would you like to go right now?" He nodded ecstatically and sprung up, running over to her car and getting in the passenger seat. Delia sighed and shook her head. She made her way back inside the house to change out of her dirty overalls and into a clean dress. Grabbing her keys, she made her way outside, finding Beetlejuice tapping his feet so hard that the car rocked slightly.
The mall was jam packed. Though to be fair, what could you expect on a Saturday afternoon? Delia bobbed and weaved, Beej following closely behind her. Ever since their first trip to the mall, Delia had started to force him to keep a hand on her shoulder at all times. He was very easily distracted but it also let her know when he got lost in the crowd.
They made it to their desired store and Delia flitted around expertly while Beej followed reluctantly. His hand left her shoulder for a moment and she turned, a few dresses already over her arm. What she saw was something she had never thought would occur. Behind her, Beetlejuice had stopped and reached out, running a hand reverently over the polyester fabric of a sun dress. Said dress was a light cream with olive coloured leaves and vines. The shoulder straps were as wide as that on a tank top and the waist and chest were elastic fortified.
Delia smiled at the sight until she looked up and saw the harsh depressed azure of his hair. She laid a gentle hand on his forearm.
-----
The dress was beautiful. It was also soft under his fingertips. It brought back unbidden memories of a time when he only wanted to explore.
Looking in the mirror revealed a completely different boy. He was soft and squishy and the dress strained under his weight but he didn't care. He had spent endless hours carefully dying and stitching each black and white stripe and polka dot into place.
The striped skirt fell down just past his knees and flared out when he spun. The top was black with white dots placed in a meticulous diagonal pattern. The sleeves were slightly uneven and strained against the flab of his upper arms.
In the mirror, his hair flared a blazing green. Picking up the eyeliner from the counter, Beetlejuice leaned in towards the mirror and was partway through the creation of a wing when the bathroom door slammed open. The eyeliner smudged down his cheek when he jumped and dropped it into the sink. Looking up into the mirror at the face of Juno, his hair darkened to a deep violet.
Later, he could only watch and weep as the dress was torn away from him, shredded, and burned in a raging Hellfire.
He was thirteen in human years. Barely a teenager.
He jumped suddenly when something brushed his arm. Snapping out of the horrible memories, he looked over to find Delia smiling at him happily. "Do you want it?" Reluctantly, Beetlejuice nodded. "Great! Let me see if I can find a size that will fit you." Delia immediately thrust her chosen garments into him as she started rummaging through the hangers.
After what felt like forever, she grabbed one and held it up to him. "Let's start with this one first and we can work from there," she laid a hand on his arm and began guiding him over to the fitting rooms. Just before they reached them, his feet turned to lead and he stopped, looking down at the pile of clothes.
"I don't think I can do this," he said softly before turning to look at the very concerned Delia.
"What do you mean, Beej? I think it'll look positively lovely on you!" She smiled kindly and turned him towards her.
"I don't know. It just... it's wrong. Guys aren't supposed to wanna wear dresses!" Delia rubbed Beetlejuice's shoulder gently.
"Hon, you can wear whatever you want. No one will give a damn. It'll be weird, yes, but everyone loves you and you barely leave the house. Besides, you can always just take it off, ya know?"
He knew she didn't mean it but her phrasing was unfortunate and Beetlejuice plunged back into the darkened depths of his twisted teenagehood.
He had just come home from a work expedition, body throbbing with pain. Blood seeped through the back of his suit coat and he fought to remain awake through the blood loss. He trudged listlessly across the mansion floor, dripping onto the white marble. Finally, he met the staircase and sat down. Juno wouldn't be home for another three hours so he had time to "waste" patching himself up. Out of his jacket pocket, Beetlejuice pulled rolls of gauze and medical tape. Stripping out of his jacket, suspenders, dress shirt and tank top, he summoned a clone to help him patch up his back. Annoyingly, the fresh whips had caused scars on his back to be ripped open and quickly become infected. The Netherworld wasn't exactly the best place to sustain injuries, Beetlejuice had quickly learned. He much preferred how they treated wounds in the Overworld.
After the clone finished up, he vanished with a puff of nebulous green and Beetlejuice stood up, grabbing the clothes he'd removed. He made his way up the stairs and entered the bathroom. Laying down his clothes on the counter, he rummaged through his jacket pockets. Finally, he felt the crude stitching of his handiwork and pulled out the open backed dress. Searching further, he found a pair of striped leggings he'd lifted from an Overworld thrift store.
Beetlejuice emerged from the bathroom a few minutes later with a flounce and a twirl, dress brushing the doorframe of the bathroom. He bounced happily away to his bedroom.
"Take it off," Beetlejuice jumped, spun, and backed up against the closed bedroom door. In the middle of the room stood Juno. She was intimidating on any normal day but standing there, striped and dotted dresses flung over her arms, was the most intimidating Beetlejuice had ever seen her. Taking a risk, he stood up straighter, hands on his hips.
"No."
"No?"
"No," he spoke even more firmly and Juno raged, eyes filled with fire (both figuratively and literally). "I'm a grown ass demon and I can wear whatever I want!"
That was the day he learned that a holy water toaster bath hurt like a bitch. It was just after the first dress fiasco.
Delia laid gentle hands on his shoulders and Beetlejuice looked up. He was met with the most sincere eyes he'd ever seen on the kook.
"Yeah.... Yeah, I-I guess you're right," nodding and standing up straight, he followed Delia the rest of the way to the fitting rooms.
-----
Delia waited quietly outside the fitting room. Along the aisles, mothers and daughters walked by, grabbing clothes and fawning over them. Delia checked her phone and messaged Lydia to tell her that Beej had found a dress he liked and Lydia (predictably) left her on read. Typical teens.
After roughly ten minutes, Delia began to worry. "Beej?" She called through the door. "You okay, hon?" On the other side of the door was a soft click and it eased open. Beej popped his head and shoulder through the crack in the door and instantly Delia paled. Running down his face were glistening streams of salt water and his hair had turned a stark terrified white and sad blue. "Oh, hon, do you not like it?" Delia reached out and Beej flinched as she wiped away his tears. He shook his head violently.
"N-no, I love it, that's the problem!" He opened the door more and Delia had to hold back a laugh. The dress looked absolutely ridiculous on him. In a way he made it work, though. Deep down, Delia knew that once he became confident in it, he would look positively fabulous! The elastic bandages and cigarette burns probably didn't help his case, either.
"Hon, there's no problem. You can love whatever clothes you want! You've seen how me and Lydia dress, haven't you? The key is confidence! Be confident and no one will try to stop you. If you let them see weakness, they'll play with your negative thoughts and make them worse." Delia gave the demon a soft smile and a shoulder pat. Beej nodded firmly and stepped forward, hair flushing happy emerald and frosting affectionate magenta. Delia moved aside to let him through and he stepped into the empty space between the fitting rooms and aisles. He turned around slowly to face Delia, shooting her a slightly shaky yet sincere smile. He took a deep breath before reaching his tiptoes and spinning around, ripped socks propelling him quickly. In the brief snatches she saw of his face, Delia saw that Beej's eyes were closed but his brilliant fanged smile had reached them. He stopped suddenly and Delia peered around him to see a man leering and clapping sarcastically. He said something to Beej and the demon's hair shifted to a vibrant vexed vermilion. Uh-oh.
-----
"Keep going, fag, it was a nice show!" the clapping jock jeered. Beetlejuice's scalp itched. Behind him, the sound of heels began approaching. Oh boy.
"If you were enjoying it doesn't that mean that you're also gay?" Beetlejuice poked. The jock's face flushed and he stuttered slightly.
"When did you cucks become so bitchy?" The jock fired back after sputtering for a second. The heels stopped approaching and a hand rested on Beetlejuice's arm. And then there was Delia.
"Hey! I will not have you talk to my son that way!" Delia reached into her purse and pulled out a black and silver canister. "Make one more comment against him and you get the mace!" The jock put his hands up placatingly and backed away slowly. Once he got to the end of the aisle he spun around and booked it out of the store.
Beetlejuice slowly melted to the ground and Delia sat down next to him. "Hey, what's wrong, Beej?" He looked over at her and pulled her into a hug.
"Did you mean it?"
"What part?" Delia's fingers carded his now magenta hair.
"You called me your son. No one's called me that before," Beetlejuice pulled away slightly and stiffened at the face Delia pulled. Her I'm gonna punch a bitch face was not one you wanted to be on the receiving end of.
"Of course I meant it!" She yelped out. Delia took a moment to stand and Beetlejuice followed. "Now," she said with a clap "Let's get you changed back into your suit and find you some more dresses!"
Even under threat of exorcism, Beetlejuice would never admit that he cried the whole car ride home.
----------
Here I am, being mean to the faves again. This one-shot is based off an anon asking for protective Delia. Hope you liked!
Remember: You are loved and cherished and we'd hate to lose you <3.

Chapter 2 - Dance the Night Away
The two of you worked out a place to meet up that night; his workday ended after yours, so you had a chance to shower and change. He said not to worry about ‘dollin’ yerself up’, as he said, but you wanted to impress.
Oh hell, who were you kidding. You wanted him to take you home tonight.
Wearing a little black dress that had a stripe of red cutting diagonally across your body, you put on some sexy chunky heels and did your hair. Putting on just a little bit of makeup to complete your look, you grabbed your purse and headed out the door, excited to finally have a date with Arthur.
***
The place you two had agreed to meet was a cute little Spanish restaurant that served really good tapas. Much to your delight, there was also a dance floor, and when you entered, you could see people already dancing. Good, at least it was a group and you could hide yourself a bit.
"You look stunnin'."
You turned around and had to restart your heart. Arthur looked delectable; he was wearing a white button up shirt and black pants, with a pinstripe dark blue vest. Simple, yet it looked amazing on him, especially with his sleeves rolled up to show his forearms. The shirt had the first two buttons unbuttoned, showing off just a bit of chest hair.
All you could do was stare.
"Cat got yer tongue, sweetheart?" he said with a smirk. Oh, he knew what he was doing to you, and it wasn't fair at all. You quickly recovered from your stupor and sashayed up to him, your hips moving to the music that leaked into the lobby from the dining area.
Now it was his turn to stare, as you hypnotized him with your movements. He reached out for you as you got close, his hand sliding from your shoulders to the small of your back. Leaning in close enough to graze his lips against your earlobe, he whispered in your ear, his breath tickling your skin.
"You tryin' to drive me crazy?"
You gave him a sultry smile. "Maybe. Is it working?"
"It is."
Arthur held out his arm to you, and you blinked, confused for a moment.
"Ain't no one ever been a gentleman to ya?"
Oh. You slipped your hand onto his arm, feeling his muscles and sighing inwards happily. He got the table and led you into the dining room when his name was called, pulling out your chair for you. Your heart could not stop pounding as you watched him take a seat across from you and gaze straight into your eyes.
"You been here before? Because I have no idea what to order," he said with a shy grin.
"Don't worry, I'll steer you right."
"I trust you."
You had to swallow hard; the way his voice dipped as he spoke those words gave you goosebumps, the low timbre resonating deep in your soul.
You perused the menu and picked a few things that you thought he would enjoy. Being an adventurous eater, you selected a couple of items for yourself that sounded interesting.
"So when did you start dancin'?" Arthur asked after you had given the order to the waiter.
Shrugging, you debated how much to tell him. You opted for a summary. If this date turned out well, you could open up to him more. "A few years ago. A friend took me to his street dance class and been hooked ever since."
He nodded, his attention hyper-focused on your every word. He asked you a few more questions, being very polite about it, but it was clear to you he was interested in the full story.
And much to your surprise, he got you to tell him everything. About your shitty break up, about how dance gave you release, about how you danced because you found it hard to speak up for yourself. Now you understood how he got his customers to speak. He was a very attentive listener, with his ocean colored eyes drawing you in, his thoughtfully crafted questions drawing out your deepest secrets.
He was dangerous. It was no wonder that women swarmed to him like bees to honey. To be under his care as he slowly drew beautiful patterns on your skin, his hands gently using you as his canvas. You understood it fully now, even though you had no interest in getting a tattoo. Not that you could afford one anyway.
Food came and went, and you had chosen correctly. He loved everything that you ordered, including the zanahorias aliñadas that you thought he wouldn't touch.
"Everythin' was delicious," he said as he took the last marinated carrot and popped it into his mouth, chewing slowly to savor the sourness.
You nodded as you picked up the last empanada and nibbled on it. You didn't want to think about how much this was going to cost, but you had some money squared away for special food nights like this. You sure as hell weren't going to let him pay for everything; you were a modern woman, dammit!
"Excuse me, I'm gonna use the restroom," he said as he got up. You just nodded as he left, your eyes on his rear as he walked. It was a bad habit of yours, ever since he had started visiting the cafe. But you never got tired of watching him walk away.
When he was out of sight, you turned your attention to the dance floor, watching people groove to the upbeat salsa music. You didn't know how to dance that specific style, but most of the people on the floor were just moving to the rhythm freely, so you thought maybe you'd get a chance to as well. Maybe give Arthur a little show and convince him to take you home.
You don't know how much time passed, as engrossed as you were with people-watching.
"You wanna dance?"
You looked up as Arthur sat back down, giving you a knowing look.
"I do. Are you coming with me?"
Arthur laughed and shook his head. "I got as much coordination as a drunk duck. But I'll gladly watch."
You smiled and started to get up. "Wait, let me give you money for the bill before I forget."
"Don't worry about it."
You stared at him for a few moments, then immediately flagged down the waiter.
"Could you bring the check, please?"
"This gentleman has already taken care of it," the waiter said, gesturing at Arthur before scurrying away, clearly not wanting to get in the middle of an impending debate.
You whipped back to look at Arthur, gaping like a fool.
"I told ya not to worry about it," he mumbled, shrugging nonchalantly.
A million thoughts ran through your head, about expectations, about how you didn't want to feel obligated to put out, just because he bought you dinner, even though you absolutely wanted to sleep with him, but now there was a layer of complication that he probably didn't even think about.
He must have seen the anxiety flashing in your eyes. Reaching out for your hand, he held it firmly until he had your full attention.
"Darlin', I bought you dinner because I wanted to. Ain't expectin’ anythin’. Just wanted to treat a fine lady. That's all."
Blowing out a breath, you felt an immense weight lift off your shoulders. Squeezing his hand back, you smiled and headed for the dance floor. When you got there, you kept your eyes on his as your rocked to the melody, seducing him with each sway of your hips.
You sensed other people moving around you, and one came closer. You glanced over to see a man dancing very fluidly, almost as if he were trained. His eyes caught yours and he smiled.
"You move great," he half-yelled over the music. "You trained too?"
"Just a few classes."
"You have a lot of potential." He moved closer, steadily working his way into your space. You shimmied backwards to maintain your personal bubble.
He just smiled and kept dancing with you, showing off some more complex footwork.
So you did too, just to show off. You had a competitive streak in you, sometimes to your detriment.
The man only got more attracted and moved closer again. You took a step back and ran into someone.
"Sorry—"
You turned around to see Arthur, who immediately wrapped an arm protectively around your waist. "Havin' fun, darlin'?"
"More fun now that you're here," you replied smoothly as you leaned into his body. There was an electric current running through the two of you as you held onto his arms and swayed with the music as he awkwardly shuffled with you.
"I, uh, ain't so good with dancin'."
"Not a problem." You took his hands and placed them on your hips. "Just move with me."
As he looked into your eyes and followed your lead, you stepped back and forth to the rhythm, pulling Arthur into your vortex of dance. You completely forgot about that other guy, the whole world melting away until it was just you and Arthur, moving together as one. Orbiting each other, getting closer with each pass until your bodies were melding, your breaths mingling, the tension was being pulled so taut that if he leaned in just a little bit closer, you might snap and kiss him right here, right now.
“I think I should take you home,” he murmured.
“I think you’re right,” you breathed.

I’m only going to cover fabric as the accessories (besides the exact weapons) can be bought at your ren faire or local convention. And while I recognize you’re gonna do your own twist on it I’m going to give you notes as if you’re trying to pull off her exact look 😁
So you’re in luck as most of this stuff is straight lines and easy.
For her shirt you can buy the cheapest button up shirt pattern you can find, then decide how much longer you want the hem to be. Margo’s is just below her knee. When ordering fabric make sure whatever length you want to add to the shirt you double it, for both front and back pieces of your shirt. So like if I want 20 or 30 inches to the hem, I buy either an extra yard and a half or a two full yards. I can’t tell what the front closure is on her shirt so if it’s loose enough you could just sew it together, attach an invisible zipper, or do some kind of hooks n eyes. I would hold off cutting the shirt’s fringes/strips(?) until you make your belt/cincher. Once you have it then I’d say to cut it as low as you can go without it showing at the bottom of the belt. If you want to avoid sewing your own shirt, then shopping for a very long button up shirt would be your next best option. Look for boho styles at your thrift store or department store. For both sewing or non sewing try to keep your options on nature fibers like cotton or linen to keep the heat off of you and let your outfit breathe. I personally like buying cotton gauze or tissue linen for my bottom most layers as they are very thin and comfortable. Knits are not a bad option as that way you won’t need to hem the edges of the strips to keep it from fraying.
Next layer is her off gray long vest. She does wear it under her stripey coat. This one you could use your shirt pattern and just alter it slightly. I would do this after making your shirt so you know exactly how the pattern works and fits.
Tumblr media
As the vest does not close you can take in the front so it doesn’t cover your shirt and hangs open more. Do not alter the sides or shoulders unless you absolutely need to. If altering the shirt pattern, draw out your final sewn edge and then draw on your seam allowance. I would do atleast and 1, but no more than 2 inches. If you’re shopping for it, just look for another button up dress or tunic that is a very light cotton or linen. You can take off the sleeves but I highly recommend hemming the armhole to give you a clean finish. But if you’re wearing the stripey coat then it’s up to you on that. The hem of the vest is about the same as the shirt.
Next up is the stripey coat. This will be tougher to shop for so you’re better off sewing it yourself. Once again you could get away with using your shirt pattern by altering it. However I highly recommend making a mock-up before using your stripey fabric to make sure you have the sleeve right. It’s the length and over all comfort I’m worried about. Honestly the baggier the better? And you can take it in as needed at the very end.
Tumblr media
Now it’s belt time. You’re going to have to draft out the shape of the front for yourself, then add a normal 5/8 seam allowance on all edges. You can do either the soft pentagon shape or an easy rectangle. I would go with a finished width of 2-2.5 inches if doing the rectangle. It looks like a linen fabric to me, but I would use very heavy denim to line the back or insides and interface the linen for a good base. Sew three sides of your rectangle, leaving the part that attaches to the bits of belting alone. For the belting lengths themselves you’ll need a dressform that is your size or a handy friend. Both methods are the same, but I will write it out as the later. You will need clear plastic wrap and duct tape. Wrap your high and low waist in the plastic wrap, then cover that in duct tape. If you want the belts to be tight, then careful wrap the duct tape tighter than looser. Your friend will then use a sharpie to mark your desired length of the belt, the center front, center back, and your sides. Once the very basic shape of the belt is done, have your friend carefully cut along the center front line. Then when youre free, tape up the center front but don’t loose the center front lines. Use scotch tape to temporarily attach your linen belt front and trace it on. Ignore the seam allowance we left open, only drawing the finished edges. Remove that now draw on how you want your belts to lay. Margo has some angled belts that go diagonal. I’m guessing her belt opens in the back as well as the front. Since it’s hidden under her vest and coat you do not need to use hooks and eyes in the back. Any drawing mistakes can be covered in duct tape and drawn over.
Tumblr media
Once you’re happy with the look you can cut out the stripes of duct tape as a pattern. If you’re using elastic instead of belting you don’t need to add seam allowance. But please be careful going tighter if your body is not used to the pressure. Running around ren faire all day can take a toll as it is so please take it off if you feel any discomfort. Even if it’s just during a water break or lunch. You can always wear one of Margo scarves as a sash instead. Anyways, once you cut all your belts to desired lengths and know which are in what order, attach the belts to the front closure pieces carefully. Use a basting stitch to temporarily attach the belts and check now to see if that belt needs to be tighter or looser as you go.
Now her pants are a whole other beast you cannot use your shirt pattern on. However you can use a pj pattern instead. I recommend the baggie drawstring kind that have pockets. She wears hers at her natural waist under her belt, so don’t go cutting down the waist line. On the pj pattern extend the sides as desired. The front of the pants go up, so remember to curve up the front pattern piece. But leave the back with a straight line. For the cuff, measure out a circumference that the widest part of your foot can go through, and use that measure meant to make a rectangle that is however long you need it by about 2 inches wide +seam allowance on all sides. You can always go longer and add elastic to the cuff to make things even easier. You’ll gather the hem of the pants into the cuff, uneven gathering is fine as Margo’s centers on the front. If you’re planning to buy your pants, see if anyone is selling some harem pants? Otherwise look for very nice pj pants. You’ll want to add a cuff to the bottom, so if you don’t mind shortening the pants you’ll just cut off about 3.5 inches, then again however short of a circumference you can fit your foot through, and reattach that as a cuff.
Tumblr media
After that she wears lil sweat bands on her wrists you can make out of strips of muslin fabric, just wrap and tie around your wrists. Then more thin linen or muslin fabric for her scarves.
Hope I helped 😅
I know it’s a lot of info so if there’s any clarification needed let me know. I recommend sewing everything as much as possible if that is in your interest or skill set. Take your time with it if this is your first project and buy ten yards of muslin to test out your patterns on before cutting your good fabric. This outfit is supposed to be comfortable so don’t try to make the shirt or the pants too fitted as your belt and drawstring in the pants will do your fitting for you. Also remember to pack sunscreen and water and take breaks. Have fun at ren faire, @nebulousgayshit!

Some Tips Of Sewing Leather Patterns
Tumblr media
This post contain offshoot connects to Craftsy, a stage I trust and love!
This post is a piece of a small scale Series, check Part 2, where I'm demonstrating to you a well ordered photograph instructional exercise for making a shading square example from my Basic Leggings PDF design!
We should begin with a reality: I cherish colorblocking!
I've sewn a great deal of ventures utilizing it since I sense that it can add a ton to simple and plain undertakings, without relatively expanding trouble level: you can make 100 unique pieces from a basic example, simply utilizing
Colorblocking!
How about we venture back: do all of you realize what shading blocking is, correct?
It's the point at which you set up together extraordinary hues in a similar piece of clothing; the fun is that you can assemble comparative or complimentary shading/designs, or differentiating or tertiary hues, for an increasingly dynamic look: you're the creator!
We should discuss why you should love colorblocking
(furthermore, why I do)!
– shading blocking is economical: you don't have to purchase extravagant textures to reproduce a fascinating look (furthermore, you can assemble every one of those little pieces and remains from greater ventures);
– shading blocking is commonsense: you can utilize an essential example you definitely realize that fits you (like The Sheer Plaid Top, available to be purchased at $ 2.90 on Craftsy, or Basic Leggings PDF design I'm discharging this end of the week, on Sunday March, ninth) making an interpretation of it to ceaseless diverse styles… No one will realize they're made utilizing a similar example!
– shading blocking is refashion-accommodating! When you are going to refashion a not-that-tremendous piece of clothing, you'll find soon that is difficult to finish with a mono-shading new article of clothing… you frequently "need" to colorblock (see my T-shirts to PJ refashion visitor posted for this present week on TitiCrafty)
It is safe to say that you are intrigued studying Color Theory? There's an intriguing FREE class on Craftsy about it – it's tied in with leather sewing , yet clarify a great deal of fascinating things about assembling hues: it's ideal in case you're not kidding about colorblocking – PLUS, as I stated, it's FREE
Serger Pepper - Colorblocking - How-to Step By Step + Tips
A few (Good) Tip:
1. Inverse pulls in
Have a go at putting on your sewing table all the distinctive textures you have, so you can utilize them for shading square: you'll be flabbergasted to see that occasionally textures you wouldn't think assembling, are splendidly coordinating and blending!
2. Attempted and True
Extremely imperative: genuine your shading obstructing at side/crossing creases, nothing most exceedingly bad than a gravely coordinating side crease… better make it extraordinary, if it's a structure decision!
3. Two diverse ways
In the event that you have a fundamental example, similar to my Sheer Plaid Top, or my Basic Leggings (coming soon on Craftsy), you can change it into a shading blocked example essentially in two different ways:
cut your example in more example pieces (recall: include crease remittances where required)
sew together texture scraps to have a major enough bit of texture from which you'll cut your example.
Utilize the first is better in case you're going to make peculiar molded shading squares (for example bended pieces, similar to weaves), utilize the second one for making straightforward examples, similar to stripes or checkered!
4. Disrupting Norms is Fun 😛
You can fundamentally assemble anything, better if every one of the textures have comparable weight and stretch (be that as it may, as any standard I know, you can break it, in light of configuration reason!)
5. Make your very own Reconstructed "Print"
It's a pleasant method to reproduce crazy geometric plans, when you can't discover lovely prints. It's flexible as well: you can do strong shading blend yet in addition sentimental rose and pink colorblocking; truth be told, you can have a go at blending two distinct prints (why not stripes and dabs? I'd like to attempt this, since they've generally revealed to me they don't go together!!)
6. Implied for Each Other
Some example is structured in light of colorblocking (likewise in the event that you can without much of a stretch sew it in monochrome), with many example pieces: think to princess creases! I've made two refashions from T-shirt and pants, some time prior, including colorblocking: a FREE example for a lady (Mod dress) and a dark and white unsettled Minidress.
The most effective method to make a colorblocked article of clothing:
a Step By Step
Before you begin working with the 1:1 adaptation of your example, think little! The most entertaining piece of making a colorblocked article of clothing is structure: and I truly mean illustration (either by hand or with an illustration program on your pc) lines on your representations and fill those new spaces with shading/designs, to picture which colorblock is all the more speaking to you.
Take the example piece smaller than usual and let your creative energy fly!
My best recommendation is: take a few shoots to your textures, at that point we should run scrapbooking with an illustration program like GIMP: Too Much Fun! (Keen on a well ordered instructional exercise? I could do this for you!)
You'll see that distinctive lines (level, vertical, slanting or even bended) can totally change your example look!
I've made this activity, of late, with my Sheer Plaid Top PDF Pattern, making a Wool rendition (propelled from a portion of my Serger Pepper's Testers Crew dazzling adaptations) with a more extensive neckline, opened in one side (you'll see it soon!), colorblocked by utilizing my texture on the two sides (good and bad) part it in various example pieces!
I've begun attempting to make sense of which was my most loved variant, between:
Number One:
All on straight grain, right half of the texture, neckline on inclination (this detail never shows signs of change… ):

Decision…
Exhausting!
Number Two:
Colorblocked, Horizontal line simply over the armpit:

Decision:
Augmenting EFFECT… DON'T NEED IT AT ALL!
Number Three:
Colorblocked, Vertical focal line:

Decision:
PFFFF… BORING!
Number Four:
Colorblocked, Diagonal line:

Therefore, the increasing demand for T-shirts has increased significantly, making everything more vibrant. It will be full and fun. With the internet available in several designs, T-shirts have become the most fashionable and comfortable fit.
T shirt for Men was once a fashion statement. Men who dare to wear T-shirts stand out freely in a world where men wear shirts with collars. So, it didn't matter what happened to his slogan T-shirt or what design his graphic T-shirt had.
 Not anymore.!!

 1.      White T-shirt
For Holi, you can combine a white shirt / T-shirt with white trousers, which is a classic fashion that never goes out of date. Costumes and hats, preferably plain hats will give a more casual and relaxed look. In India, botanical patterns are always festive, so when you look at the floral patterns in this timeless combination, it looks like a festive
 2.      Classic Casual Outfit
Another classic outfit option is to wear on the Holi 2022 dark denim in light shades blue t-shirt on the top. Beautiful shades of blue or sunny yellow t-shirts you can wear. The gulal stripes at the end of the Holi give it a fun look. Therefore, this t-shirt is simple and appropriate for most parties, occasions and festivals.
 3.      Relaxing mode outfit
If you're not playing with colors and thinking of hanging out at home Then to impress your family and friends try out the relaxed look. You can combine matching T-shirts and shorts with sneakers and add accessories with a nice watch with it. You can use this option to find the perfect balance between comfort and style.
 4.      Raglan Sleeve types
Three-quarter and long-sleeved T-shirts are inspired by the cut and design of baseball uniforms. You can try out wearing a raglan sleeves type t-shirt with jeans on Holi. In this style of T-shirt, the sleeves are attached to the shirt with diagonal seams instead of the more common top and straight bottom seams.
 5. Loose shirts with pants
Loose fit is a new trending outfit presently! During this Holi festival, be careful not to wear anything in close contact with your skin to avoid clothing sticking to your body after water splashes on you. However, it is best to dress up for the Holi as Holi is not about adjusting clothes; it is all about splashing water and enjoying the festival of colors. Also, avoid flashy colors and overwhelming accessories, as this is a color celebration, not a night gathering.
 6. Douche bag T-shirt
A men's T-shirt with a deep scoop neck allows you to see more of your body than a plain T-shirt. Men can accessorize this t-shirt with metal chairs and shaved chest and create a macho look.
 7. Half T-Shirt
Half t-shirt is a sleeveless men’s T-shirt with a thin strap, usually used by runners. It is a loose and comfortable sleeveless T-shirt, unlike the muscle T-shirts below. Therefore, you can wear it at the Holi festival as it will give you a complete festive look. Holi is all about playing with colors and water. Therefore, a half t-shirt is very comfortable and the best outfit for men to wear on Holi.
 8. The V-Neck Style T-shirt
As signifies the name, this type of T-shirt forms a V-shape around the neck. A man with a round face and wide shoulders can take advantage of this neckline to compliment his figure and get a slim look on the Holi. Moreover, you can combine it with a buttonless shirt whose V-neck does not look under the shirt.
 9.The Henley Y-neck Style
Henry's T-shirts are best stated as a crew neck and V neck combination. Comes with a button placket a few inches deep to fit snugly on a well-built, muscular chest. Adding a button enhances its aesthetic appeal while preserving the elusive brand toughness. Moreover, some of the men like to wear t-shirts which cover their body for them. Y-neck t-shirts are best. It is very comfortable to wear this t-shirt and play Holi.
 10.Polo t-shirt collar styles
Polo T-shirts have become famous by golfers, and the button-decorated color version adds a formal look to the look. Slim lame men can get the most out of this type of T-shirt. However, when it comes to the Holi look, these t-shirts are kind of stylish and comfortable for men. They can wear it in the Holi and enjoy the festival with friends and family in lots of colors.
The best way to add an ethnic feel to your ultra-Western casual outfit or t-shirts is to wear a stylish ethnic print bandana on your forehead. It goes well with the casualness of your everyday outfit and adds a subtle designer touch to your look. Tie-dye patterns tend to go well with men's T-shirts, so choose a bandana or squeeze design for a comfortable style!
T-shirts' casual and relaxed look has long been experimented with to achieve a semi-casual and sporty look. The great thing about different T-shirts is that they can modify them in millions of ways to create rich styles, but they still retain their essence as the most lasting garment for men.
At Alstyle you’ll get a unique variety of men’s t-shirts for Holi 2022. On our website, you’ll get the latest collection as we update our website every week. Here you’ll get all types of men’s t-shirts like men’s fitted t-shirt, round neck t-shirts, slim fit polo t-shirts and many more.

Genre: Fluff

A/N THANK YOU FOR 500 FOLLOWERS OMG
here, have a Halloween sehun scenario
lol I had fun writing this one
Leaning against your bathroom sink, you added the finishing touches to your makeup. Satisfied, you leaned back with a sigh, admiring your appearance. You were pleasantly surprised. Reaching forwards, you picked up the thickly black rimmed glasses and slid them on. You looked great.
The local club was having a Halloween event, something your boyfriend and you had anticipated with great expectations. You’d argued back and forth over what to dress up as. The both of you had agreed that it had to be something relevant and new. You had come up with the idea of Eggsy and Roxy from the new Kingsman movie, while Sehun thought Thor and Loki would be better. The argument had taken place over weeks, until Sehun had finally given in and let you have your way. It was rare; Sehun was very stubborn.
You were fully dressed as Roxy – wearing a grey tweed jacket, a white shirt and dark striped tie. You heard an excited knock at the door, spinning out the bathroom and rushing to let Sehun in. Your eyes widened in shock.
“Sehun!” Instead of a smart, black suit and matching tie you’d expected, he stood in the full Thor suit. Your jaw dropped. He’d even dyed and cut his hair – it was now a dirty blonde with two diagonal strips cut into the side. Two, angry, red lines of paint swam parallel down the left side of face. He’d even gone the extra mile and had ordered a Thor hammer, grasping it proudly in his hand.
“Y/N? Why are you dressed like that?” He cocked his head to the side.
“I could say the same thing…” you trailed off, too shocked to form a full sentence.
“We agreed on Thor!” Sehun exclaimed.
“No, we didn’t! We went with my idea – Kingsman!”
The two of you stood in silence, staring at each other.
The door to the apartment next to yours opened, and your elderly neighbour stumbled out. She stared with wide eyes at Sehun, who looked like he’d stepped right out of a comic book, before giving a confused smile at you both. You smiled awkwardly back to her, feeling ridiculous; you probably looked like some kind of business woman to her.
Grabbing Sehun’s shoulder, you yanked him inside and shut the door.
“What are we going to do now?” you questioned, hands in your hair in distress.
You both took Halloween far too seriously, and you knew it. But in the moment, nothing seemed quite as important as this affair which you’d planned for weeks in advance.
“Who are we going as then? Thor and his well-known assistant?” you demanded, pacing back and forth in the small living room.
Sehun glanced at the clock. “We need to go.”
A little scream escaped out the back of your throat.
“Come on, let’s just go,” Sehun ordered, “we’ll think of a solution in the car.”
You rolled your eyes, but reached for your bag and followed him out the door.
“You know, you look really hot. You should wear those glasses more often.” You turned to thank Sehun, who’s eyes were fixed on the road. “Although, you would have looked even hotter as a female Loki.”
“Ugh, Sehun.” You crossed your arms and turned your head to glare out the window. “I was really looking forward to see you dressed all smartly, like an English Kingsman. You know how I feel about you wearing those kinds of glasses.”
You wanted to be annoyed with each other, but neither of you could really justify why. You’d both messed up your plans as equally as one another.
After a curt drive in the dark, you’d arrived in the city centre.
“Wait, where are we?” you asked as you stepped out the car.
“There’s no parking spaces near the club; we’ll have to walk. It’s only short,” Sehun explained.
You could have murdered him. Sehun’s idea of ‘short’ was certainly not short, and you had already taken your shoes off before you’d arrived.
“Can you believe this? My feet are already killing, and we’ve not even got into the club yet!” you complained.
“Quit whining,” Sehun instructed, dropping a few coins into the bouncer’s outstretched hand and sauntering into the club. You stumbled after him.
It was loud and bright inside. Characters were wandering all over the place and you seemed to have already lost your other half. You were almost regretting your outfit as the shirt clung to your back with sweat; all the bodies seemed to make the room boil. You stood near the entrance, scanning the huge people-filled room.
“Boo!” A voice shouted into your ear, causing you to yelp in shock as you spun around to see Baekhyun, dressed in a huge black coat and a midnight coloured hat. His black hair was styled in waves, a straight fringe peeking from underneath the hat.
“Baekhyun!” you screeched, eyes still darting round for Sehun in the mass of people.
“Wow, what are you?” he asked, eyes trailing up and down your outfit.
“I’m Roxy from Kingsman,” you stated, still searching for your boyfriend.
“Oh, cool! So Sehun’s Eggsy then?” Baekhyun asked, beaming.
“Uhh,” you began, attempting to explain your misfortune.
“Man, I wish I had someone I could have dressed up with. Couple outfits are so cute,” he pouted, interrupting and saving you from the explanation.
“So, what are you?” you questioned.
“I’m the Grim Reaper! From Goblin!”
Sehun suddenly appeared behind you, and you grabbed his arm and hauled him over to you.
“Sehun, control your friend. He almost gave me a heart attack!”
“That’s… kinda my job.” Baekhyun grinned. Suddenly he frowned, looking Sehun up and down with confusion. “Since when was the lead role in Kingsman blonde? And which scene was he dressed as a superhero? Am I missing something here?”
Sehun sighed and looked to the side.
“I’m Thor,” he mumbled.
“Thor?! But why are you Thor?” Baekhyun laughed, puzzled.
“Y/N was supposed to be Loki.”
“Whoa, that would have been hot.”
“I know right!” Sehun exclaimed, throwing his hands out to the side.
“Right, well, anyway. I’m gonna go and scare some more people. Bye guys!” Baekhyun waved before disappearing into the crowd.
“Someone needs to find him a girlfriend,” you said. Sehun murmured in agreement.
“I can’t believe we fucked this up so badly. We look so stupid.” Sehun sighed.
“Roxy and Eggsy was a perfect idea. It’s such a shame really.” You shook your head, looking up to the ceiling and away from your boyfriend.
“They’re not even a real couple!” Sehun protested.
“Neither are Thor and Loki!? They’re brothers,” you pointed out.
“But they’re an iconic duo.”
“Not really. Loki continuously tries to kill Thor.”
“Exactly. That’s why I thought you should be Loki.”
“Hey! At least Roxy and Eggsy could work as a team!”
“Guys,” Jongdae interrupted, “let me buy you two more drinks.”
The two of you had been quarrelling for a good few minutes while you sat with Jongdae and Minseok at the bar, who were probably fed up with you both now. They’d dressed up as Mario and Luigi; a result of being single and only having your friend willing to dress up with you. Jongdae came to your sides with the drinks in his hands. Sehun had been drinking all kinds of cocktails, while you were stuck with lemonade as you’d offered to drive you both home.
You picked up the glass, downing it all in one as if it was alcohol while Jongdae and Sehun stared with wide eyes. You slammed the empty cup down on the bar.
“I’m gonna need a glass of straight vodka in a minute if Sehun doesn’t shut up.”
Sehun’s jaw fell open and he crossed his arms childishly, looking away as if he were offended.
“God… See, Y/N, this is why you don’t go for the maknae. You had such a broad choice of men, yet somehow you’re stuck with the boy,” Minseok said, finishing off the rest of his drink and getting up from the bar stool. “Come on Jongdae, let’s find some girls. I hate baby-sitting these two.”
Jongdae nodded in agreement as the two slid through the crowd together.
“Great. They’ve abandoned me,” you sighed, crossing your arms on the bar and leaning your head on them sideways, so you looked up at Sehun. Sehun started biting his lip before looking down at you.
“Should we go somewhere?” he proposed.
“I don’t feel like dancing…” you mumbled.
“I mean outside of the club.” You perked up at this. The club hadn’t really exceeded your expectations.
The bar-tender watched you both depart, sighing in relief to himself. The two of you had been difficult to work around.
You’d agreed on finding somewhere classy for a meal, finally settling with a posh looking restaurant, before comically realising that you were both dressed up as characters.
“How embarrassing,” you mumbled, stumbling out the restaurant close behind Sehun while the waiter at the reception watched after you in distaste. “I can’t believe we just walked into a place like that looking like this.”
The both of you continued to trope through the city, unable to find anywhere that’d be socially acceptable for you to sit and eat while in full costume. That was until a huge yellow ‘M’ sign smiled down at you - as if you were seeing the sun for the first time - from the end of the road.
“McDonalds! Am I glad to see you,” you grinned, jumping for joy. You glanced at Sehun, who was also looking at the building with shining eyes. “Can we agree on that?”
With food in your stomachs, you both felt satisfied. The servers had quizzed themselves on who you’d both dressed up to be, while you and Sehun had laughed it off, explaining the story. You weren’t the only Halloween characters in the fast-food restaurant, which made you both feel less ashamed.
“I mean, it wasn’t what I had in mind… But at least we had a good night in the end, right?” Sehun asked, reaching for a chip from the tray.
“Definitely. I’ll admit, you make a hot Thor. Chris Hemsworth’s got nothing on you,” you said, smiling wistfully and admiring your boyfriend.
Sehun smugly smiled to himself. “Should we go now? I want to see how Roxy is in bed,” Sehun winked. You laughed, pushing the empty tray aside.
“Maybe it’s for the best that I didn’t dress up as Loki then…”

Prompt: High school AU! with Mr.-Popular-Jock-Jason Todd and Kind-of-a-weirdo-Dick Grayson. Please.
Hm, so my brain got rolling on this and somehow I ended up writing 8.3k words. My hands just typed like a madman :3 Anyways, thank you anon! I hope you like this~ (I totally enjoyed it)
AO3
There was always that one student that stuck out in every class. A student that was just a bit odd. There was certainly one in Jason’s class and he’d noticed the teen since the start of junior year, but had ignored him for the most part. But over the course of time, it became difficult to disregard him since he kind of stuck out like a sore thumb and he knew it wasn’t intentional. That was just how he was.
Dick Grayson was that weirdo and for some strange unexplained reason, Jason always found himself watching the teen. He was just so out there, so different than him that he had difficulty keeping his eyes off the teen. If he had to describe them, they were essentially different species, one being an athletic jock and the other being what Jason would describe as a nerd.
The teen had silky dark hair that curled at just the tip of his nape. His bangs were long, slightly parted to the side and fell just enough to cover his brows. He had perfect straight teeth, white and dazzling. Not to mention his bright blue eyes that seemed to glisten whenever he’d speak, his expression a constant glow.
It wasn’t like Dick was bad looking, he really wasn’t. Just, he sort of stood out a lot mainly because of his attire and the way he carried himself. So it was really two aspects that initially attracted Jason to the teen, set the bar for his impression of Dick. The teen was always god damn perky, consistently making small talk with everyone around him. He was a literal ball of sunshine and always wore a smile on his lips. And his clothes, fuck, his clothes were hideous. He never matched, ever, and he couldn’t color coordinate for the love of his life. Seriously, sometimes Jason thought he might be color blind because the colors of his outfit always contrast.
Dick tended to show up to class with vivid colored outfits which could also be a bit dorky. He often wore sweaters and cardigans, or shirts and a hoodie, and often times, if not all the time, the colors of his wardrobe were just so out there, extravagant. Not to mention the designs as well, with odd looking logos on his shirts that made no sense. At least his pants were simple enough, typically wearing jeans though sometimes he’d show up in haggard sweatpants and just why?
How could one be so terribly dressed? That confused the hell out of Jason and he just couldn’t understand what his issue was.
Like right now. He could clearly see the teen in his peripherals. Jason sat at the back of the class and Dick was a little off to his left, diagonal and up a row. He was currently dressed in light blue jeans, a hideous bright yellow sweater with a fish and a—is that pizza on his shirt? Oh wow, It was. Damn, it hurt his eyes to see. The color was offending and it blinded him. He wished he could just ask Dick to change.
It’s not like he could look away either since the teen was directly in his line of vision
The one other thing Jason found weird about Dick was that he often liked to answer the teacher’s questions. In a sense, he was at least fairly smart which was a good thing, but the fact that he kept volunteering himself made him appear as a teacher’s pet. Honestly, it was annoying and Jason wished he would just shut up
But no, he always had to blab his mouth, run it till it tired. If he even got tired of talking
Jason typically went out of his way to avoid the teen, never made eye contact or conversation with him. He didn’t want his reputation as football captain being tarnished. Nope, not by hanging out with Dick Grayson the weirdo, which is what his team called him as well as a few others who also thought he was an oddball.
Thankfully he was only a classmate and Jason didn’t have to communicate with unless prompted.
The thing was—he just—he didn’t know but he sort of found himself becoming strangely interested in Dick. There was just something pulling him in that he couldn’t ignore no matter how hard he tried.
Jason ventured to thelibrary one day after school was over, wanting to check out a book. Despite hisappearance and his status of being a popular high school football player, hedid like to read and enjoyed it immensely. He’d often spend time searching forinteresting titles and renting them from the school library or the publiclibrary. Though he often kept that fact hidden from others for fear of beingjudged so he tended to sneak around when he wouldn’t be noticed. It would ruinhis athletic and bad boy image.
While he was busybrowsing through the mystery isle, searching for a story that would capture hisinterest, he heard a familiar voice calling out to him. One he’d often hearduring class, but one that wasn’t never exactly directed at him.
Jason paused as he wasabout to pull a book out from the shelf. Slowly, he turned his head to face hisguest and found a slightly shorter teen with vivid blue eyes staring straightat him. This wasn’t exactly a face he wanted to encounter.
“Jason!” Dick fucking Graysonwas talking to him and god, his outfit was also terrible today. Hewas sporting a vertical striped shirt of mustard green and yellow with a darkred cardigan on top. He freaking looked like the condiments of a hot dog and toadd a finishing touch, he was wearing glasses. Like, those thick rimmedglasses and it just looked—looked very cu—ugly on him.
Why was he wearingglasses when he typically didn’t during class? Well he did a few times.
Dick must have read hismind or saw that he was oddly focused and staring at his face and made acomment.
“I mainly wear them whenI need to read,” Dick said and pushed up the middle of his frames with a fingeras they were slipping down his nose. “Um—“ he then started, fidgeting with thebook he held in hand by flipping the hard cover up and down. “What are youdoing here?” he asked and Jason supposed it was odd to find him in the library. He typically liked to go when no one was around to see him.
“I—“ Jason said andpaused for a moment as he tried to think up an excuse to use. He didn’t want toexactly out himself for being into reading. Not that he thought it was a badthing, but he didn’t want to subject himself to being a topic of conversationand being judged for not adhering to his ‘image.’ “I was looking for a book forEnglish.”
“Oh,” Dick said and hiseyes brightened. They didn’t share the same English class, and actually onlyhad two classes together, Math and Chemistry, so it’s not like he knew whatJason was using it for. “Do you need help finding one?”
Why was he offering tohelp when Jason had barely talked to him before?
“Uh, no,” Jason replied.“I’m good.”
The smile on his facefaded just a bit, seemed a little upset at the rejection but he shrugged hisshoulders. “Okay. If you need help you can ask me.”
“Sure,” Jason said andglanced around the room so his attention wasn’t on Dick. He was attempting toavoid looking at him in hopes that he would get the hint and leave, but hedidn’t. Dick just stood there and Jason could just feel his gaze on him, feltlike he was burning a hole with his nonexistent eye vision.
“Uh, so,”Jason started, feeling a bit awkward. Maybe he could just ask a few questionsand then attempt to fend him off. “What are you doing here?” He asked, redirecting the question back at Dick.
“I run book club,” Dicksaid and Jason immediately flickered his eyes back to the teen, settled on hisgleeful expression as he beamed brightly.
“Oh?”
“Yeah,” Dick murmuredand the color of his cheeks glowed a bright pink. He shuffled on his feet, rolled back and forth on the tip of his heels. “It’s every Thursday afterschool. It’s mainly club members who show up but um, it’s open to all.” Thatlast sentence hung in the air, hovering around the two and seemed to imply ifJason was interested, he was welcome to come though he wasn’t straightforwardlyinviting him.
“I see,” Jason replied, unsure of what else to say about that. For being someone who was involved inthe school, mainly sports though, he wasn’t aware that they had a book club. Heknew about other clubs, but not one that was actually one of his interests.
Jason sort of wanted tosee what book club was like.
Again, as if Dick couldjust read his every expression, he added on a few more information. Almostcould sense that Jason was interested. “It runs about an hour long and wetypically vote on a book, read it and then have a discussion about it.”
That did sound appealingand something that Jason would like to partake in since he didn’t really haveanyone else to discuss books with. His friends didn’t read, found that it waslame and would rather just watch TV, movies or hang out and video game.
Jason didn’t breathe aword of his thoughts and just smiled small at Dick who seemed to be glowingwith elation.
“It’s really fun,”he added, quite animated as he started making hand gestures. “We have game daystoo where we play trivia. It’s a way to test who remembers what details wellenough. We give out kudos and prizes sometimes too!”
And then when Jason saidnothing yet again, Dick pressed a little more, growing impatient. “I mean, I’mnot—I’m not pressuring you or anything! It’s just—I mean, I thought it mightbe, I don’t know? Interesting. Um, I enjoy it so I just—“ Dick was stutteringand fidgeting heavily with the hem of his shirt as he tugged and pulled, wasalso swiping his bangs from left to right like a frantic teen. Well, he was ateen, just currently very anxious and maybe Jason should say something and notignore him. He knew he was making Dick nervous and he felt a little bad so heheld up a hand and stopped Dick in his track.
“I get it,” he saidsharply and caused the teen to jolt back in surprise, vivid blue eyes blinkingat him in offense, that he’d done something wrong to rouse the jock. Jasonhuffed a breath and swiped a hand through his hair, rubbing at the back of hishead bashfully. He maybe should have toned done his irritation just a bit. “Imean I get it. I’m not really interested, but maybe—“ he said and saw howDick’s eyes suddenly brightened up once again, going from a kicked puppy to anenergetic one. “I might come check it out.”
“Yeah?” Dick asked inawe, his smile returning and geez, it was alluring. Kind of cu—no. That’snot what he thought him, just no. Jason quickly shook himselfout of his thoughts and returned his immediate attention back to Dick.
“Yeah, I don’t knowwhen.”
“Oh, anytime is fine! We’re not going anywhere,” Dick exclaimed and slipped the book that he’d beenholding between his arm pits. “Just pop in whenever.”
“Sure,” Jason said andthen took a step back, ready to skedaddle away, but felt a little awkward fordoing so. Luckily for him, he was saved when a redhead, who he knew was Dick’sfriend came up beside him. They shared Math together and he was sure his namewas Wally West or something.
“Hey Dick, ready tostart?” The ginger prompted and quickly side eyed Jason, emerald eyes squintingat him skeptically. Jason just raised a brow and gave him a look, wasn’t surewhy he was glaring at him because he was positive that the teen was glaring.
“Yeah, I’m ready.Everyone here?” Dick asked and Wally nodded, placing his gaze on Dick, givinghim his full attention as he responded before returning his glare back atJason.
Jason stood there stillas a statue, gazing back at the ginger in wonder. What the hell was hisproblem?
“Yep, we’re good to go,”Wally said and curled his fingers around Dick’s bicep, giving him a tug towardsthe opposite direction of where Jason was about to go.
“Okay, just one second,”Dick said and swirled on his heel to face Jason. He was about to take a stepforward, but his friend still had his hand on him, so Dick reluctantly stayedglued to his spot.
“See you tomorrowJason!” Dick called cheerfully and waved at him.
“Yeah…” Jason replied, not to be rude and returned a lazy wave. “Tomorrow.”
And then off he went, whisked away by the ginger who was still throwing him glares.
Why the fuck? Jason didn’t understand what the hell he’ddone to offend the redheaded teen since he rarely talked to him. Didn’t evenknow who he really was in the first place, but he shrugged it off as it wasn’ta huge problem to him.
Jason returned to hisoriginal task and attempted to successfully choose a book while secretlylistening to the conversation being led by Dick. His voice was soft andsoothing and he was actually pretty good at leading the discussion, gettingeveryone to participate. He’d often peek through the shelf holes to spy on thesession though he didn’t have a really good view.
But at least thediscussion they had seemed insightful, almost sounded fun, and he might havebeen just a bit interested after listening in.
Maybe he’ll sneak inone of these Thursdays.
The next day duringclass, Jason was worried that Dick might try to strike up a conversation withhim because they talked yesterday in the library. To his surprise, he didn’tand that was a bit of a relief since he wasn’t sure how he would have dealtwith that. He didn’t want to be caught talking to the class nerd.
And yet, Jason felt alittle upset that it didn’t happen, felt like he’d actually connected with Dickfor a moment, as awkward as it was.
It was also strange thatDick didn’t approach him considering he seemed to be the type. He supposed hewas being courteous and giving him space.
And again, he waswearing a mismatching outfit. Seriously, who dressed him? Actually, who allowed him to leave the house looking like that? Whoever it was needed toget their eyes checked.
Dick was sporting darkwash jeans today and a forest green gradient cotton sweater with the face of acat plastered in the middle. His hair was a wild mess, sticking up all aroundhis head, almost as if he’d just woken up out of bed. Maybe he did and waslate, didn’t have enough time to fix himself up.
The clothes today weretame compared to other days, but his hair agitated Jason. He could feel hisfingers tingling with the need to brush it, flatten all those strands that weresticking up. God damn, it was bothering him a lot and he really wanted to walkup behind him during break and comb it all down.
But alas, he did not andlet it fly.
When lunch rolledaround, Jason spotted Dick sitting a table away from him while he was currentlyseated with his friends, the football team, chatting away about movie nightthat they had set up for the weekend. Roy Harper, his best friend andvice-captain was talking about inviting girls and Jason didn’t much care forthat. He didn’t mind though so he let Roy do whatever the hell he wanted.
Currently, he was toopreoccupied with Dick to really care about anything else. Watched as the teensat with his little group of friends. The ginger was there today as well and hewas joined by another ginger, a girl with gorgeous long hair and another girlwith medium length jet black hair. He’d seen Dick with this particular group ofpeople often and assumed that was his posse.
Jason remembered seeinghim with a few others as well and oh—there they were as they all filtered inand populated the table, filling it up. Jason watched as they chatted amongeach other with smiles plastered on their faces, laughing and giggling likethey were having a damn good time.
Jason wondered what itwas that they were talking about, a bit curious about the kind of conversationsDick and his friends had. He wasn’t sure what kind of interests Dick hadbesides books and weird clothes. Seriously, how did none of his friends tellhim that he looked awful? Because if it was Jason, he would probably tell himhe needed to change his outfit, but maybe they just didn’t care enough likeJason did.
He sighed heavily andturned his attention back to his table, listened to them talk about which girlsthey should invite. Honestly, Jason wasn’t too interested in the girl talk andnever usually participated. Only dropped a comment here and there to show thathe was at least paying attention.
Dick’s table seemed abit more appealing at the moment but he couldn’t simply just join them. Thatwould be weird. So he let it slide and started poking at his sandwich before hepicked it up and took a bite.
Maybe he will goto book club next Thursday.
Next Thursday arrivedand Jason did what he said he would do — show up at the library. He made sureto arrive a little later after the session had started so he wouldn’t have todeal with all the introductions and all that crap. He slipped in from behindand hovered in the back of the room, watching Dick from afar.
Dick was at the centerstage, at the front of the audience sitting down in a chair. The rest wereturned, facing him and the seats were set up in rows, curling just slightly atthe edges so it formed a half circle, a way to include everyone and make itmore uniform.
The raven haired teenwas holding up a book and opened the floor to anyone who wanted to speak. Thestudents would raise their hand and he’d select them, giving each and every onea turn to speak and whoever wanted to jump in could do so.
Jason surprisinglystayed for the entire session, really interested in the book they werediscussing. And every so often, he found his eyes meeting Dick’s. Vivid blueeyes would stare at him briefly for just a few seconds before he’d settle themback on his audience.
An hour passed byquickly and everyone had packed up and left the library, even his ginger friendwho tossed him a dirty glare as he was leaving.
That was still a mysteryto him.
Dick was the last toleave, had his bag slung on his shoulders, snapping the front of the straps tokeep it secured on his back.
Jason didn’t know why hewas lingering around waiting for Dick, but he did and the raven haired teencaught him. He immediately made a bee-line for Jason, weaving around the chairsand carts and stopped right in front of him.
His lips were spreadwide into a smile and his expression glowed, literally. Dick’s face was a rosyred, cheeks a tad darker than other parts of his face and he seemed excited.
“Hi!” Dick greetedgleefully.
“Hey,” Jason returned, but in a less enthusiastic tone, using just his normal vocal range.
“You came,” Dick saidand Jason slowly nodded his head.
“Yeah, I did.”
“So…how was it?” Dickasked curiously and fumbled with his glasses, almost as if he was slightlynervous. Jason had noticed this the first time they spoke since it happenedoften during their brief encounter. He assumed it was a habit that Dickfidgeted when he was uncomfortable or anxious as he was consistently tugging orpulling at something each time a trouble expression appearedon his face.
It was kind of anadorable trait.
“It was good,” and itreally was. Jason enjoyed it a lot that he actually wanted to read the bookhimself.
“Oh,” Dick said andblinked in surprise. “That’s—that’s good,” he said with a big smile, flashinghis perfect teeth. “I’m glad you liked it.”
“Yeah, I actually did.”
Dick chuckled softly atthat and wow—that was really cute. And this time, he couldadmit that because it was cute. His laughter was soft and filled with warmth, adelight to hear.
“Would you come again?”Dick asked and fluttered those long eyelashes in an attempt to woo him in.
And did it woohim in. “I would be interested so possibly,” Jason answered and JesusChrist, who would have known that his smile could grow any brighter?Because it fucking did. Dick was beaming with pleasure and looked as if hecould jump for joy.
“I’m glad to hear that,”Dick said, relaxed himself to a norm as he exhaled loudly, almost as if he’drealized he might have overreacted a bit. “Did you want to read the book we’regoing to discuss next? We just finished the one today. Typically we assign aportion of the book to read every week before the session,” Dick added.
Jason had actuallywanted to participate, but he felt a bit indecisive about it so he’d beenstalling. Now that Dick offered, he felt like he could take it. If he hadn’tasked, Jason would have just left it as so.
“Sure,” Jason replied.“I’m down for that.”
“Great!” Dick exclaimedand then unbuckled his straps, slipping his backpack off and settled it on theground. He crouched down and zipped it open, stuck a hand in and dug around forsomething. He pulled out a paperback book and stood back up, handed it off toJason to take. “Here,” Dick said and gestured for Jason to take the book fromhim.
The jock just stared atit, perplexed at his actions. “This is…yours though?”
“It is but you canborrow it. I already finished reading it,” Dick offered, shaking the book atJason awkwardly because he still hadn’t taken it from him.
Turquoise eyes glancedfrom the book to Dick and back to the book in wonder. Finally, he wrapped hisfingers around the item and graciously received it from Dick.
“It’s a mysterydetective type story. I think you’ll enjoy it. You were looking at mysteryearlier, no?”
“Uh—“ fuck he totallygot found out by that. “That was for class,” he lied and tried to remind Dickthat it wasn’t for his enjoyment purposes.
“Ah,” Dick said andseemed to school himself for possibly misinterpreting when he actually didn’t.“That’s right. Yeah. Well I think you’d enjoy it either way.”
“Thanks. I’ll read it.”
“We’re reading up tochapter 5 by the way.”
“Sure, can do,” Jasonsaid and tucked the book into his own backpack as Dick slipped his back on.They were finally packed and ready to leave the school.
“Um—“ Dick interjectedwhen Jason was about to open the door to enter the hallway. “Do you want towalk to the gates together?” He asked shyly and bit down on his lower lip.
God, the way he wasacting was even making Jason blush and he had to look away for a second as hesqueezed his eyes shut and tried really hard not to blush.
“Sure,” he repliedbecause he didn’t mind it honestly.
“Great.”
The two walked the shortdistance from the library to the front gates, had a very nice conversationabout something completely random, about food actually before they parted ways,Jason heading off to the parking lot and Dick being picked up by a damn limo.
Wait—a limo?
And then he rememberedwho his father was. That’s right, Dick was the adopted son of the billionaireBruce Wayne. How could he forget about that? Probably wasn’t something heactually tended to remember since Jason kind of hated rich kids.
Though Dick didn’t actlike a rich kid at all. Actually didn’t seem like a rich kid considering hewasn’t snotty or arrogant. Didn’t speak to others like he looked down on themin a condescending tone. He was fairly nice and social, had a lot of friendsand was easy to speak to.
Just his wardrobe was adifferent matter altogether. Yes, Jason had an issue with it andmaybe someday, he could help him dress better.
Maybe.
From then on out, Jasonended up going to book club every Thursday. He started off observing in theback of the room, mentally joining in on their conversations, agreeing insidehis mind on certain topics as well as disagreeing on others.
Gradually, he gravitatedtowards the members and eventually joined them in their ranks. Often sat in theback row though and only piped in here and there.
He and Dick were alsogetting along as well, often staying after book club had ended to discuss a fewthings. Well, anything really. They started off talking about books and thenventured off into their other interests.
Jason had learned thatbesides reading, Dick actually liked to play videos games and often did so withhis younger brothers. He also enjoyed watching movies and TV series as well anda lot of the ones he watched Jason had also seen.
He was slowly learningthat he and Dick had a lot in common, more so than he thought and it was kindof pleasant. Dick was fun to talk to and Jason enjoyed every moment with him.He was a constant ball of energy and brought laughter into their conversations. Not to mention he told really bad puns which Jason kind of enjoyed.
He was geeky, quirky, smart and fun. Also really really cute. With the way hesmiled, always full of sunshine and his expressive blue eyes, eyes that alwaysglowed and spoke his true emotions, something that Jason really enjoyeddeciphering. His adorable laugh and the way he’d chuckle, light and warm. Hisfreaking glasses that he sometimes wore, gave him that nerdy flare but it wasjust damn adorable on him. Dick’s luscious black hair that just never seemed tobe tame some days and all Jason wanted to do was just run his hands through it.
And all the way down tohis appearance. The teen was tall, but shorter than Jason, not significantly sobut a good portion. His build was lean, but he wasn’t skinny. Far from it. Heactually had a bit of muscle and when asked what he did to maintain his shape,Dick replied that he did gymnastics and he often practiced at home. Which madesense because he was actually quite fit underneath all those clothes.
Last but not least,Jason had grown to like his outfits. It was hard for him to admit at first asit offended him highly, but the more he talked to Dick and the more he saw him,his clothes just sort of grew on him. It oddly fit his personality well and itwas just a special flare that Dick had. Honestly, it added to the appeal.
The most surprisingthing was Jason just sort of found himself falling for Dick. He never thought he’dever like the teen, but there was just something about him that drew Jason in.And the more he got to know him, the more he found out what it was that he wasinterested in Dick. Now he was just head over heels for the teen and wanted toask him out.
But he didn’t dare, afraid that he’d be judged for it. They still didn’t interact during classhowever which Jason was thankful for. He didn’t want to have to deal withpeople asking him why he was talking to the weirdo.
Unfortunately, thingscouldn’t stay as it was.
Jason arrived to classearly and headed straight for his seat so he could get situated. The otherstudents were slowly filtering into the classroom after having come from theirprevious one. He was pulling out his textbook and supplies, prepping himselffor class when someone came up to his desk and interrupted him.
He felt a shadow hangover him and lifted his eyes to meet the face of his guest.
It was Dick.
“Hey Jason,” Dickgreeted with a hesitant smile as he adjusted the strap of his backpack. He wasstanding right in front of his desk, gazing at Jason as they locked eyes. Andimmediately, Jason could feel everyone’s attention on them, probably judgingand wondering why Dick was talking to him so casually.
Jason sucked in abreath, felt his heart skip a beat, slowly increasing as seconds ticked by. Hecould feel the airway of his lungs getting clogged as the anxiety built upwithin his chest. He held off on answering, attempting to extend the period ofsilence in hopes that Dick would go away, but of course he didn’t.
“Um,“ Dick startedand tucked a lock of hair behind his ear, hand trembling ever so slightly.“Can I borrow a pen? I forgot mine,” he asked in a wavering tone.
Jason was too anxioushimself to see that Dick was also nervous and didn’t pipe a word and tried hisbest not to look around the room. He could feel everyone’s gaze on him and kepthis attention focused on anything but his classmates and Dick, especially Dick. So he just stared at his desk like it was the most interesting thing in theworld.
“Um…Jason?” Dicktried again, voice small and Jason cringed from the slight sadness that hedetected in his voice. He could tell that Dick was getting a little upset.
He huffed a breath. “Ihave no pen for you to borrow,” Jason hissed sharply and mentally grilledhimself for saying such a thing to Dick. Not when he liked himand wanted to date him. Not after all the enjoyable smallmoments they spent together. It was, his stupid prejudice was getting in theway. His fear of being ridiculed by people who didn’t matter and the need hefelt to protect himself from subjection.
“Oh…” Dick murmured,tone faltering. “I—“
“Why are you eventalking to me anyways?” He added and god, why couldn’t he just keep his mouth shut. Why was he embarrassing Dick in front of everyone by rejecting him?
Because Jason didn’twant to be judged.
“I—I’m—“ his breathhitched and Jason felt really bad. Felt the pit of his stomach drop, dreadfilling his body. “Sorry,” he apologized, voice oh so small and quietand fuck, that was the saddest he’d ever heard Dick.
The teen turned andwalked away from his desk and settled himself in his own. Jason drew in a heavybreath and kept his eyes glued to his desk, could hear people shuffling andwhispering around him.
It wasn’t until the bellrang when he snapped his head forward and found his gaze falling upon Dick. Themoment his turquoise eyes registered the expression on Dick’s face, guiltstruck him in the heart and he deeply regretted his actions. The raven hairedteen’s cheeks were bright red and he’d slipped on his glasses, but they wereslightly fogged up. Jason could clearly see tears at the corner of his eyes andhe knew he was trying his best not to cry.
Fuck, Jason shouldn’t havesaid that. He shouldn’t have treated Dick like he was offended by him for fearof being judged. Because honestly, who gave a fuck what others thought aboutthem? They didn’t have a say in what Jason chose to do or who he chose toassociate himself with. None at all.
And yet because he caredabout those reasons that he stated above, he did what he did and treated Dickpoorly.
He’d fucked himself overand ruined their friendship that had been flourishing.
He wanted to so badly tomake it up to Dick, to mend their relationship but he just didn’t have thecourage to do so and left it at that.
Weeks passed by withoutJason interacting with Dick. He’d skipped out on book club as well and that wasreally the only time they spoke.
Dick was ignoring himtoo, avoiding Jason as best as he could with the same amount of effort Jasonwas putting in. The small smiles or waves that the teen would toss at him whenthey happened to make eye contact were no more and Jason found himself missingthat.
He’d also noticed thatDick seemed less chipper than usual, almost as if a wave of depression hit him, bringing him down. The color of his clothing had dimmed, less vibrant colorsand darker shades and there seemed to be a cloud of darkness hovering abovehim. His mood flipped, doing a complete 180 and Jason knew he was the cause andfelt awful about it.
And the stupid thing wasno one around them cared. No one gave a single fuckthat Dick had asked him a very simple question that day.
His friends in classdidn’t seem bothered by it. Just told him it was weird that Dick spoke to himout of the blue, but other than that they didn’t think anything of it. Theyeven went so far as to add on that it would have been interesting to conversewith him. Despite the fact that Dick was a bit of weirdo, no one seemed tothink too badly of him. Even though they sometimes clowned on him, made fun ofhim which Jason would actually glare at them for and eventually defended Dick afew times when it went too far.
Though in all honesty,no one cared about what Jason did or didn’t do. Even if he was one of the ‘popular’ kidsand captain of their all-star football team, it was just a title and a momentof fame, and though he had fans, that was just really it.
Over the past few weeks Jasonhad reflected on his actions, realized how wrong he’d been to react like thatto Dick and knew he needed to make it up somehow. That he was being selfish andimmature, being prejudice against Dick just because they were ever so slightlydifferent but they weren’t. And it wasn’t a bad thing to be different becauseno one person was the same.
In summary, Jason was anasshole.
He wasn’t exactly surehow to mend the broken relationship since Dick wouldn’t give him his time.Whenever he attempted to corner him alone, Dick dodged his attacks and swiftlyescaped. His ginger friend was often around him as well, acting as a guard ashe glared daggers at Jason and pulled him away.
It was annoying and hejust wanted to make up for his mistakes, apologize to the teen but it was hardsince he couldn’t even get any time to just talk to him.
So the one option he hadwas to apologize to him in person at his house.
Or well, manor.
Wow. Just wow.
Jason was amazed at thesize of the manor and stared at it in awe as he parked on the long and gloriousdriveway. His eyes were literally about to pop out of its sockets as he gawked, mouth ajar and just speechless. He knew Dick was rich, but damn, this was extreme. He couldn’t even see the end of the building, just the frontand that was even astonishing to him.
Wayne manor was ofcourse gated, but he’d spoken to the butler on the intercom before the gatesopened up, allowing him inside. He’d parked at the front and took the longpathway up to the door. It was long and wide, reached very high up and Jasonjust couldn’t get over the size of it. Seriously, his house was tiny comparedto this.
He found the doorbelloff to the side, rang it and waited for an answer. The door clicked opened afew minutes after and there stood an old English man wearing a fitted butlersuit.
“Good afternoon,” thebutler, Alfred, as he introduced himself as earlier said. “It is nice to meetyou Master Jason.”
Oh fuck, he’d never beencalled Master before. This was odd and slightly uncomfortable.
“Um, yes, hello,” hereplied awkwardly, sort of wanted to correct him to just call him Jason butfelt like it wouldn’t fly so he dropped it. “Dick is home?” Jason asked, gotright to the chase.
“Yes, Master Dick ishere. Shall I escort you to him?”
“Ah, yes please,” Jasonsaid.
The butler gestured ahand for Jason to enter the mansion and he did. His eyes immediately tooknotice of the grand hallway, could see how classy and expensive it looked. There were beautiful vases and pictures that adorned the walls and table, intricate and looked quite antique.
Jason knew he was in fora large surprise as he followed the butler down the hallway.
He’d showed upunannounced, requested to see Dick because he needed to talk to him. Alfred hadasked if he had an appointment which Jason said no, but moved to explain it wasimportant and to not tell him. The butler was a bit skeptical at first, butdidn’t sense any harm from Jason so allowed him inside.
They weaved through afew rooms and then finally stood at the forefront of two large double doors.
“Master Dick is in thelibrary.”
“Ah.” Of course he wouldbe. “Thanks,” Jason said and stood there dumbfounded, unsure of what to do.
The butler low keyrolled his eyes and opened the door for him to enter. Jason took one stepinside and the door closed shut behind him, locked him inside of this largelibrary, like nothing he’d ever seen before. It was possibly bigger than one ofthose book stores, at least he thought it was. Either way, it definitely lookeddense and it reminded him of those amazing personal libraries he’d seen inmovies. The walls were filled to the brim and shelves were lined up in neatrows in the middle of the room, all housing a variety of books. Each sectionwas also labeled, an easy way to maneuver through
Jason was in amazementand couldn’t help but gasp quietly to himself. He slipped into one of the rows, trekking along and getting lost in the vast amount of books there was to offer, completely forgetting why he was here. He was distracted from the mission he’dset out to accomplish and was pulling out books from the shelves, flippingthrough as he read each summary. He was so absorbed in his actions that when heheard a gentle voice echo into the enormous room, he jumped, startled by thesudden intrusion of another.
But he recognized thatvoice anywhere.
“Alfred?” Dick calledand Jason could hear footsteps approaching him, getting closer and closer untilhe caught Dick standing at the end of the row.
Dick almost jumped back, blue eyes going wide in disbelief at seeing Jason standing in his library. “Jason?”He said, voice growing a pitch higher. “You’re—what?” he furrowed hisbrows in confusion and was trying hard to not freak out. “What are you doinghere?” He seemed a bit lost for a moment, eyes blinking rapidly until hefinally gathered himself whole and strode right towards the taller teen.
Jason pushed the bookback onto the shelf and turned his body to fully face the teen when he came upto him.
“Why?” He asked againand dropped his book to the ground so he could cross his arms over his chest.
“I wanted to apologize,”Jason said, getting right to it. This was what he came here for and this waswhat he needed to do first and foremost.
Dick just arched a browat him and scoffed. “I don’t need your apology.”
“You do,” Jason said andbreathed heavily, felt a chill shudder down his spine, hands going cold fromthe thought of rejection. If Dick was this pissed at him than he’d royallyfucked up and hurt the teen. He’d never seen him so angry before, glaring athim with those gorgeous blue eyes as if he was the enemy.
“I don’t. I—I heard youloud and clear. Obviously you don’t want to be my friend.”“I—“ Jason started but Dick cut him off.
“I thought we werefriends. I thought we were…getting closer. I kept my distance fromyou because you seemed to be wary of others. But I just thought—maybe you, Idon’t know. I just wanted to try and it took a lot ofcourage to confront you in front of others. But you just went and—“ Dick wasspeaking quickly, words flowing out like a waterfall and he sounded sodistressed, so upset that he couldn’t articulate his feelings well.
But Jason understood. Heknew exactly what Dick was getting at and if he’d only known that this was howhe felt, he wouldn’t have treated him like that. If he was a better person, hewouldn’t have done that, but he wasn’t.
Dick huffed, drew in arickety breath and chewed on his bottom lip as he squeezed his arms. “Ijust thought it would have been okay. We were getting along and…” hetrailed off into a gentle whisper, his voice blending into the tenseatmosphere. It was heavy and weight down on Jason’s shoulders and he couldclearly feel the emotions oozing out of the teen.
“I’m sorry,”Jason blurted, needed to get it out in the open. “I’m really sorry,”he repeated genuinely, captured Dick’s gaze with his own to ensure that thiscame from the heart. That he wasn’t just saying this because he actually truly feltapologetic of his actions.
Dick stayed silent, hisbreathing coming in short bursts and kept his blue eyes focused on Jason, staring back at him just as intensely as Jason was.
Jason took that as asign to continue. “I was wrong. I know that what I did was not respectful andyou didn’t deserve it. I hurt you and I embarrassed you because I only thoughtof myself. And honestly, it shouldn’t have mattered what other people thought.Me, a jock, and you, a—“ Jason said and made a hand at him, unsure what todefine Dick as. He was sort of a nerd, but that just seemed like an awful termto label him as. “You,” he went with and the corner of Dick’s lipstugged into an amused smile.
“It’s okay. You can callme a nerd. I am. I know I’m weird too, but I’m quite happy andconfident in myself,” Dick said and Jason breathed a sigh of relief knowingthat he hadn’t offended Dick.
“You said it,” he saidand Dick just smiled softly. “It was all just in my head and even though we maybe different, we aren’t. We are so much more alike than I would have everthought and we have a lot in common. I just—“ he said and paused for a moment, struggling with his emotions. Debated on whether he should just say it or not.
The clock ticked, seconds passing by and then minutes. There was an awkward silence lingering inthe air where neither of them said a word. It was grating on Jason’s nerve andhe grew impatient. Figuring what the hell, he just went with what his heart wastelling him and took action.
“I like you,” Jasonsaid, could feel his nerves tingling as his heart rate increased, his anxietyblooming as he confessed his utmost feelings to Dick. “I really likeyou and I want to date you.”
The amusement on Dick’sface quickly dimmed and was replaced by an expression full of shock. The teen’seyes were blown wide, eyebrows raised high with his lips parted, forming asmall o. His arms had fallen limply to his side as he just stood there andgawked.
“You what? You—saythat again?” Dick murmured, finally able to find his voice again.
Jason only wanted to sayit once and he could feel heat crawling onto his cheeks, embarrassed. He suckedin a breath and repeated it one more time.
“I like you. Willyou please go out with me?” Jason spoke more firmly this timeand as clear as he could in case Dick claimed that he couldn’t understand himbecause he did not want to stay it a third. He was already mortified enough andwanted to crawl into a hole.
Dick’s face lit up andthat pretty smile of his returned. “Yes,” he replied and took a step forward toclose the distance between Jason. “Yes,” he repeated and dropped hisvoice, a touch of sultry finding it’s way in as he pressed a hand to Jason’schest, curled his fingers into his shirt and latched on. “Let’s date.I…want to be your boyfriend,” he whispered and rolled onto his tip toes, bringing his face close to Jason’s, so close that their lips were merecentimeters from meeting, just hovering in proximity.
Jason wasn’t sure ifthat meant it was okay and could only assume it was fine. He slithered an armaround Dick’s thin waist and tugged him close as the teen fell against hischest and into his arms. With all of his courage, he shortened the smalldistance between them and crushed their lips together into a fervent kiss.
The kiss was toxic and everythingJason had wanted. The feel of Dick’s lips were soft and warm, just slightly alittle chapped and he tasted kind of sweet, almost fruity. It sent shivers downhis spine, pleasuring filling every inch of his body and he wanted more.
Though their kiss was alittle clumsy and inexperienced as their teeth bumped against one another andDick was giggling about it while Jason was trying very hard to not join him andcontinued kissing him, but the teen just made it so damn hard,so he split.
Dick was still laughing, and Jason just rolled his eyes at him, a little irritated because here he was, trying to have a sweet moment but Dick was ruining it for him.
“Dick,” Jason saidfrustratingly and huffed.
“I’m sorry!” Dick saidand sucked in a large breath, trying to hold back his laughter and calm hissnickers. “I just—I’ve never really kissed anyone before.”
And at that comment,Jason’s eyes widened at him and he had to blink a few times to rid himself ofthe initial strain. “Wait…are you telling me that I was your first?”
A cherry red dusted hischeeks and he shyly nodded as he ducked his head under Jason’s chin and circledhis arms around Jason’s waist, embracing his now boyfriend.
“No shit?”
“Yes way,” Dick sighedpleasantly and buried his face against Jason’s hoodie. “You’re my firstkiss…” he murmured, voice muffled from where he was hiding.
Jason exhaled loudly, trying to let that piece of information process through his mind. It was justso shocking that it took a while for him to register the fact that he wasDick’s first kiss. It was just too fucking amazing and he was honestly jumpingin joy mentally.
He was also finally ableto tuck his fingers into Dick’s luscious hair, buried them deep and slowlycombed it back in attempt to work out the tangles. He was having one of thosemessy hair days as well as another wardrobe malfunction which he didn’tactually mind anymore and today, Dick was sporting a baggy bright green sweaterwith worn out grey sweatpants.
But even then, he wasstill very cute and it was just an adorable quirk of his. And if he had knownit was Dick’s first kiss, he would have done it more carefully and skillfully.
It just—well, theway he approached him didn’t seem like he was that inexperienced. There wasjust an air of allure that he oozed when Dick slyly came up to him. Maybe hewas just a natural at being seductive.
Not that Jason minded.
“Do you uh—“ Dickstarted, finally crawling out of his embarrassment and tilted his head back tostare at Jason as the teen glanced down to look at him. “Want to read a bookwith me?”
Jason smiled gently andpecked his lips in a chaste kiss. “Of course.”
The two laughed andscurried off to a corner of the library, settling in a little nest that Dickhad built filled with blankets and pillows. Dick plopped himself in betweenJason’s lap and handed him the book, pulled a blanket to cover them as theycuddled.
Jason smiled softly athis boyfriend, flipped the book open to the first page and started readingaloud, his gentle voice filling the room as Dick hummed and hmmed at every interesting scene of thebook.
