As we enter the new year of 2022, I'd want to dedicate a series of letters to someone I haven't met, yet.

I used to write letters to my future love when God introduced this desire in my heart to have a God-centered family someday -- this is basically when I began my journey with the Lord in 2015. Every year, I also keep a journal for him. However, they were no where to be found, if I didn't lose, it was because I unintentionally quit -- the world we live in had fooled me twice, making me believe that I had finally found "the one". That brokenness snatched my heart and dragged me to the field of hopelessness. Yes, I have become a hopeless romantic, which causes me to look for love in the wrong places.

But this year, I'd like to return to the very heart of Jesus. Instead of looking for love in every person I meet, I'd merely pray for my heart and, unspecifically, for my future husband. For whoever and whatever position we are in at the moment God chooses to cross our paths, we would be happy that we placed our complete trust in the Maker of the best love stories ever written.

#lettersforyou are letters I wrote for God's best for me so that when we meet, we can look back and see that throughout my season of waiting, God never left my side and patiently intervining on my behalf while I go through my singleness. I don't want this to be just my narrative, or mine and my person's story, but a story about the three of us, about how a God who is very mindful brought grace and mercy into my life in a human form. 🙂

Dream Date

It had been a long day. The rain had decided to come down with a vengeance. Lightning snaked through the sky like Zeus was having a fit. I hurried inside and quickly mashed the elevator. All I wanted was to be home with you. I didn’t want to study. Or do my homework. I just wanted to be Laughing with you. Being at peace. Those thoughts made me walk quicker down the hallway, stopping when I reached our door. I unlocked the door with haste to our apartment, to find soft music filling the space.The lighting was dim and there you are on the couch, comfy as can be. With a big warm blanket pulled around you and already changed into PJ’s. Knowing you, you probably also  went overboard with work again. yet you still found time to order a pizza, remarkable. I couldn’t help but smile at the scene. To drink in the sight of you. 

“you coming or what?” you said with a smug and flirty look on your face. I shook my head in disbelief, and quickly put my work-bag down and went to our room to change into my PJ’s. Then I slide into the blanket with you and let myself relax as the coldness of my skin gets replaced by the soft heat. I grab a slice of pizza, and we start the shows. We have time. Rarely, no school  for us this weekend. So we binge, Rick and Morty (which I have never seen), Shadow and bone(which we both love, having read all the books in the grishaverse), Futurama (which I have also never seen), The old ICarly (which I have only seen parts of), Maybe if it is out by then, we watch the Percy Jackson series. Finally, I get up to turn the lights completely off and as we watch, I reflect how all this time has been leading to you and how now I am strong enough to survive the fall.
