“I still pick flowers with you in my dreams. And you smile. You laugh. You dance with me in the emerald fields. I wonder if you keep my letters under your pillow. I wonder if you still sit by the lake and remember the sunsets we spent in each other’s arms.”

March ask game: #2 and #13 🌻💐
2. Pick a painting that you feel in some way is evocative of your practice (from here)
I'd probably say it's something like 'Gather Ye Rosebuds While Ye May' (1909, John William Waterhouse)
13. How does your craft feel in the spring vs in the darker months?
There's obviously, definitely, more of a somber and sorrowful tone to the practices in Winter, vs the more joyful celebrations of Spring. But past that, the boundary of what I'm feeling in my own head and emotions, vs what the rites themselves stir up separately in their own right, aren't quite as clear as I'd like them to be. And so I can't actually say much past that and call it an accurate evaluation of the difference. I'd really have to get the deep depression I've had the last few years under much better control in order to say.
