if there's one [1] thing i will be forever grateful for in the internet era it's the vast variety and availability of pose / anatomy references supplied by photographers and models

i can go online and find PERFECT references for how fat folds crease the skin or how muscles wrap around the body and as someone who habitually draws most of his OCs ~modestly lean~ and wants to hone his skill in other body types, it is literally a godsend to have those refs so readily available

seriously, thank you all models and photographers for providing me the resources i need to expand my art skills i owe u my life

#drawing other body types is important to me #not just for my own Art Skill but for my audience and clients too #i've seen many a post in my many years on the internet of people saddened for not seeing themselves or their OCs represented in artists wor #esp when it comes to fat characters when it comes to body types #and i can imagine it's Super hard when you wanna comm someone but you're worried they'll slim down your OC #and regardless of whether the artist does it intentionally or not - it still sucks!! #i have a couple OCs - one fat and one meant to be kinda strong-bulky and i wanna use them more for example art #i also wanna play more with different skintones and hairstyles so i think i may make some human OCs to work on those with #ppl have called my art godly / called me an art god and while i'm iffy on being called some kind of god in any sense [despite the username] #i can only ever hope to live up to that praise by having my audience feel properly represented when i draw something that relates to them #obligatory mention that the username is solely bc of an OC of mine who i love dearly

Again not a dungeon meshi reader/watcher but every time I hear about that laois guy I get reminded of how my system had/has a hyperfixation on dragons so intense that we got that big fancy dragonology book and we treated it like the damn dragon Bible for like years

Now, obviously, we understand that there's different interpretations on mythical creatures, and no one interpretation on a dragon is necessarily gospel, but that multiple interpretations on the classic tale of beasts of scale and fire are completely valid and to be expected!

however if you call an Eastern dragon a coatl I'm going to come to your house and slaughter your family

#THEY'RE COMPLETELY DIFFERENT #yes they have similarities but coatls have WINGS typically and dont usually have other limbs. they're more serpentine birds #meanwhile Eastern dragons (Chinese depictions for example) don't typically have wings and are more lizard-like #like Mushu !!!!!!!! Mushu is an Eastern dragon #and then there's drakes and wyrms. which are entirely different bc they can't really fly #drakes are more like draconic horses or dogs. no wings but four limbs and a tail with a reptilian appearance #wyrms are more serpentine with no limbs and no wings. though i think some interpretations of wyrms give them like.. two forelimbs #then there's wyverns. wyverns have two legs and two wings instead of the typical eight limbs (four limbs two wings) #(i also perosnally hold true to the interpretation of wyverns with poisonous stingers for tails but that's just me cause i think its cool) #..... how much of this is just me talking abiut dragons #explodes. #oh yeah and obv there's the HTTYD interpretations which i adore! they're interesting #the designs are so fascinating and from what ive seen seem to have some science behind them #and arent just the typical western style of dragons. which nothing wrong with the western style it's a classic ofc #but it's still fun to see some variation!! #and ofc there's WOF #which holds true to Western dragons in simple anatomy but has its own variations and of course its own lore #then there's. fuck i forget the name but it's a fantasy story based in China i believe #i loved it so much it was so cool #anyways it had a dragon character named Seryu. I love Seryu. he my favorite #anyways i liked the interpretation of dragons there bc iirc it held true to ummmmm some Chinese mythology involving dragons #cause Eastern mythology of drahons is . so much diffetent than Western #Western dragons are commonly very monstrous creatures‚ usually very animalistic #they tend to embody the Christian concept of greed/gluttony hence why they're so typically monstrous/villainous #which i find interesting but i wont get into that #meanwhile. i wanna say Eastern dragon legends more revolve around the idea of a dragon as more of a godly/fae-type creature? #that's probably a poor comparison but that's how i interpreted it. agian im probahly wronf about all of this #im some weirdo rambling about dragons on the internet. dont trust me explicitly #i need to get more dragon mythology books #HELP I REACHED THE TAG LIMIT I DIDNT THINK THAT WAS POSSIBLE GOOD LORD OKAY I'LL SHUT UP NOW

I don't pay attention to MCU anymore, and honestly, I only really like certain aspects of it in retrospect, such as the Steve Rogers's stuff. I think about how outrageously wrong the writers were for writing him having sex before marriage (fornication). First of all, considering the character and values Steve had throughout the entire Infitnity Saga prior to Endgame, it comes off as widely out-of-character for him to having done that before. I'm (not) sorry, but Steve has a massive "I'll have her home by 8, sir. Don't worry." energy to him that I highly doubt he would've even been comfortable with the idea of sex outside of marriage. Steve is a correct type of man, and he'd very probably see it as disrespectful to her for him to do that. He's the type to stop before they go any further, actually, because he feels and knows it's not right. You have to add the fact that he was very probably raised as a Catholic. I don't care how you headcanon him and how much times have changed, Steve is a "by-the-book" kind of guy when it came to that and other things. Was he perfect? Of course not, but I'm (not) sorry, he would've waited until marriage. This isn't even just a baseless headcanon given how it's pretty in-character for him.

canon: run-and-gun to the theme of gasolina, and being caught by surprise at what kise can do, no defense, utter shock when kuroko's misdirection wears out, seirin's hopes and dreams hingeing on kagami and kuroko finally working together to bypass kise. oh yeah, dramatic kise accidentally backhands kuroko, some bittersweet friendship/ex-teammate drama conveyed through longing glances. ganbatte through the power of teamwork, friendship, and hopes and dreams.

bil: kuroko is gonna run out of misdirection. don't rely on it completely, use it as the final blow. they'll lag in the beginning, but that's fine - just stay in the game. kise is arrogant and selfish, overly reliant on his 'power', but has the weakness of the body not being able to keep up. he doesn't care about winning as much as he cares about dominating his opponent -> he's not playing the most efficient way to help his team take an impassable lead. piss him off and 'bend him back and forth like a paper clip' until he can't take it. when kaijou then has to deal with kise and figure out what happened, kuroko can come in for the rest of the game and help them catch up bc kise can't mitigate. it's not a guaranteed win. but it's the smartest way to play with the resources you have.

the score is reflective that kaijou was able to score way ahead of seirin, and seirin had to fucking sprint to catch up. but never underestimate the bolster that is mental steadiness - knowing that that is what you're trying to do and not get caught by surprise.

tldr: the difference in strategy is 'being deliberate'. knowing where their own weaknesses were and working with that in mind, rather than just trying to overtake kaijou with sheer speed, luck, and shonen juice.

*edit: si!kagami is also more well-rounded of a player, not just dunking. bc of his past life perspective, he values the well-roundedness, as well as physical flexibility and other physical hobbies that translate well (FlexN, as i briefly mentioned in ch 4, is a type of breakdancing. super popular when kagami is supposed to be a kid and where he's located - there's a specific subcategory called bone-breaking. he's very flexible, agile, and balanced for a guy his size). he also knows from knb what he needs to train. final thing - bc the whole tatsuya thing didn't blow up, the two of them butt heads and practice against each other a lot pre-japan, and they bother alex way more.

canon!kagami doesn't have that advantage but has higher dunking power. he also went through a Bad Time after Tatsuya fought with him, and didn't play for much longer than si!kagami. also he's really not a strategic/tactical guy - more intuition.
