I feel like the unofficial adopted kids (especially the abused ones) will use the last name “Madrigal” to estrange themself from the last name they got from their parents/guardian.
Also, when a kid (or kids) feels unsafe at home do they go to Dolores and/or Mariano? I’m sure it’s a yes but I’m just makin sure.
I kind of imagine a kid running to Tia Casita and going through the secret back door to Dolores. And in the morning all of the other madrigals just wake up and see a random kid at the breakfast table. Lolo silently dares anyone to say anything with her side eye.
In that type of situation she’ll have the kid stay at Casita with Camilo, Mirabel, and Antonio while she beats up the people who made her baby feel any sort of pain (and takes them to the authorities right afterwards.)
And on the plus side, a new baby gets to stay with her!
Lil side thought: The kids definitely call Mariano’s grandmother Bisabuela and it warms her heart so much.
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THE NAMES 🙏 ITS AN HONOR
Also I’m pretty sure that’s the case with most of the children there!! Don’t like being a (surname)? Dont worry just be a madrigal! 😃👍
When any of the children just start to feel bad at a certain point, they most likely go to Dolores. Calling her or just go into the room! But I’m sure that if they noticed that Dolores is busy they definitely will go to Mariano too :)
I would say that Dolores would’ve wanted the kids to rather have breakfast in the room since most of them maybe don’t trust any other adult but if they would still want to stay with Dolores (or any of the others) she would bring them down without an expectation!
Sooo true! It’s like- you hurt them and Dolores will hurt you 🙌 Dolores loves taking in new babies, since they’re literally adorable 🥹
Bisabuela on her way!💪 (literally such an cute name for her💕)
Tumblr media
The next morning after Dolores took the two in
Alma would’ve been just like “seriously…an other one..”
Julieta and Agustín would start to eventually adore them! (But then question later on from where they come from)
Pepa would be confused meanwhile casita accidentally left Félix out! (Not in a mean way, he was just late and casita forgot)
Mariano would’ve come to visti too, just to make sure everything’s okay! (Alma would think he came for Isabela, and would put him next to her which annoyed dolores a lot)
Mirabel would tell the kids that she would come play later! (She’s their favorite playmate and it’s normal for them to eat faster than the Madrigals)
Antonio introduces the girl everyone in his family and would definitely keep talking to her!
Isabela would get annoyed that Dolores is doing it, thinking she’s trying to ruin breakfast time (but she actually also adores the new children)
Camilo would try to irritate Isabela on purpose when he sees that she gets annoyed by it, mostly he does it because he knows that she likes the children (he makes sure they eventually talk to her too, if the wanna)
Luisa waves to the little one, also finding it adorable :D (Camilo did it on purpose but then he started to wave on his own)
And dolores just stares Alma down, daring her to say anything about it!
+ Mariano’s grandmother (don’t have a name yet) would be with the children upstairs, making sure they’re okay while Dolores is gone

Happy Hour by Marlowe Granados - review
Tumblr media Tumblr media
rating: ⭐⭐⭐ (3.5)
“I want to be heard without consequence because to be heard is such a novelty. If someone asks while looking me straight in the eye, I slither away. Even though we are looking at each other, I am still hiding. My dark eyes are good for that. The feelings on the tip of my tongue have no shape; they’re listless, always trying to sneak up in a moment of poignancy. Sometimes what I want to say is “I want you to be mine!” Sometimes it is “I feel trapped!” Sometimes it is “I resigned myself to a fate I thought I wanted, but now I don’t!” But I have yearnings, that’s true. I make choices. I take action. That is simply how I navigate. But isn’t it who I am who goes out into the world? Do those few lonely moments when I return inward, away from noise and glamour, really count?”
Happy hour is a book that is purely vibes living our best summer in New York. I had so much fun reading this book, having never been to New York myself i felt as if i was experincing the city with the characters. The main character is funny, witty and you never get bored of her adventures.
Isa and Gala are two girls who are illegally in the country therefore they cannot work normal jobs which causes them to always live on edge when it comes to money. They party at night with elite people and work through the day in street markets. Although the first half of the book where they do go to these parties was very enjoyable I was hoping to meet more interesting people as the book progressed. You can also argue that this was the author’s intention in portraying a New York so full of life yet so incredibly filled with boring and dull people.
With that said, I think the book could have dived deeper in some of its themes. The disparity between rich and poor people in New York, although explored could have benefited with more characters struggling to survive in the city, instead of only our two main characters.
Isa and Gala are not exactly likable nor do they have to be for you to enjoy this book, in fact i appreciated the characters being so very flawed and making absolute stupid decisions over and over again, it gave them substance, it made them human. It kept things interesting and you were always on edge thinking “how could these girlbosses make this situation even worse” i love drama in my books !! They are funny and that’s why it’s such an easy read.
“Being a young girl is always a cute trick. It leaves nothing to be desired and it is easy. I feel as though becoming a woman is like a long tradition of going through things and coming out strong, but I am tired and weary!”
The best part of this book is Isa’s inner thoughts and her very astute observations over the people that surround her. She is a slave of the system she lives in and has to take the best she can out of every situation. Ee see her make these moves to survive over and over again, sometimes she’s smart about it but other times she isn’t, and that’s what makes it a compelling story.
conclusion: this is a great summer read !! It gives you fun, interesting characters but doesn't have a plot you need to pay close attention to. It shows you the ins and outs of a great city and keeps you entertained throughout the whole novel.

          ❪ 🐺 ☾*✲⋆ ❫  ───  ⠀ ˚✧ 𝒾𝓃 𝒸𝒽𝒶𝓇𝒶𝒸𝓉𝑒𝓇 𝒾𝓃𝒻𝑜 //
❪ ᴏᴠᴇʀᴠɪᴇᴡ ❫
(PRISCILLA QUINTANA + GENDERFLUID + THEY/THEM) welcome to san paradiso✶ ━━    i think i just saw VANESSA ‘NESSIE’ GRANADOS roaming the city. rumor has it they’re a WEREWOLF, and appear to be TWENTY-NINE. they inhabit the city with a COURAGEOUS + PERSISTENT demeanor, which balances their DETACHED + VENGEFUL tendencies well. they seem to perpetually emanate (OLD RECORDS PLAYING ON VINYL, LONG WEEKS OF CAMPING IN THE WILDERNESS & CIGAR SMOKE BLOWING IN YOUR FACE) vibes as a MEDICAL EXAMINER & COMMISSARY OF THE MOON. we wish them well.
death mention & abandonment mention.
❪ ʙᴀᴄᴋꜱᴛᴏʀʏ & ᴘʀᴇꜱᴇɴᴛ ᴅᴀʏ ❫
little of nessie’s backstory before settling into hellmouth is known, and they intend to keep it that way. but what i can tell you, is this. on one side of their family, nessie comes from a family of witches, and the other, a family of humans raised to be hunters of the supernatural. their love story was one that was forbidden by both sides, and yet, defied all odds. the two skipped town, moving as far from both families as possible once nessie, known as vanessa at the time was born. nessie, though they assumed was born with the gift of magic; was not, was raised in an environment where their parents tried to hide the existence of the supernatural entirely. all they wanted was for a normal, healthy and good upbringing for their baby girl but of course, fate had another game in mind.
little was either parent aware of the family of werewolves that lived close by, one of which, the eldest of the pack, had recognized the father, not by features but by smell. as you know, a wolf never forgets the scent of an enemy, even if nessie’s father wasn’t the foe who’d done harm, he was the son of the hunter who murdered his wife in cold blood, and thus vengeance was sought out one full moon night. nessie was never meant to be there, it was meant to just be the father, and the elder werewolf had only meant to maim, but nessie’s father had to fight, to protect his little girl from the beast. but, he was far too unprepared, and fate took his life that night, along with doing the unthinkable to vanessa. thus, nessie was born at the ripe age of 9.
nessie’s mother could hardly look at them after the accident, both pained by the death of the love of her life and their child’s innocence and unknowing of the supernatural. their mother tried everything to rid them of the curse, but nothing worked, and eventually, nessie and their mother couldn’t stand the sight of one another, and nessie left, initially joining the pack, that was until the discovery of what the eldest had done and discovering it was purposeful as opposed to accidental.
eventually, this led to nessie leaving altogether, until they found themselves back in the place their parents had met, unbeknownst to them. eventually, they settled in and found themselves a new found family and made themselves of use in doing so. nessie doesn’t talk much about their past, but they’ve heard whispers upon other’s learning of their real name.
❪ ᴘᴇʀꜱᴏɴᴀʟɪᴛʏ ❫
nessie is a spitfire at times, and whilst they won’t show it openly, they do have a big heart. they believe in protecting the innocent from what is truly a cruel world, and will always go out of their way to do so. though nessie is loyal to those in the pack, they have problems with commitment and much prefer the company of their dogs, at least, that’s what they tell people. the truth is, nessie is just afraid of getting close to someone and being abandoned or thrown out.
❪ ᴍɪꜱᴄ ʜᴇᴀᴅᴄᴀɴᴏɴꜱ ❫
vanessa granados was their name given at birth, but people in town know them as nessie grey, simply because they don’t want people to know of their past nor do they want their mother to find them.
it’s quite possible that nessie has relatives in town without knowing as both their mother and father are originally from hellmouth, so i’d love for possible connections / future reveals  WANTED CONNECTION.
nessie loves to go camping and prefers to sleep under the stars. they own a pickup truck for that reason, along with a relatively small cabin in the depths of the woods. they live a very minimal lifestyle.
becoming a medical examiner was both strategic and by choice, it’s good for the werewolves to have someone that can cover things up; along with being able to catch any other species misbehavior. that aside, nessie just likes the quiet and not having to talk much to people whilst at work, and rather, spending a lot of time just doing examinations / write ups
nessie does have a phd and has worked for everything they have / including their forged papers, even if some times that meant having to go to sketchy lengths to make it happen. on said official papers, it does state that nessie’s full name is Florencia Grey.
loves a good cuban cigar
has two dogs

Eddie Hearn: “Thank you for being here in Leeds today, what a turnout, it feels so good. I forgot what this felt like, the big stage, the media, the fans, the atmosphere and anticipation for a massive night on Saturday in Leeds. “20,000 people at Headingley Stadium, the home of Leeds Rhinos transformed for an epic night of boxing, live and exclusively on DAZN all around the world. “This is one of the best cards we have ever put on and on Saturday night you are going to have a night and experience you will never forget. Inside the stadium, inside the ropes, the fans in the arena will get one of the best nights of live boxing they have ever witnessed and on screen we will bring you the best talent line-up in boxing. “This Saturday Laura Woods leading the presentation with Tony Bellew, over to Darren Barker and Chris Lloyd, then we mix it up with Mike Costello the legend and Andy Lee. What a team we have here and what a night we have.” Josh Warrington: “It’s good to be back, it’s nice of everyone to turn up and nice to see there’s going to be a big crowd on Saturday night – it feels normal. This is what I got used to, I got used to this big stage ever since I won the World Title. I’ve been looking forward to this for such a long time, we were talking about conquering the world together, winning the Ring Magazine belt, Las Vegas, New York and ride off into the sunset. “What happened on February 13 happened, it was a hard lesson to take but this is where the next stage goes on, the next chapter begins. I’ve been about the game a long time and I can’t wait to redeem myself. “I take him [Lara] very seriously, I think the first time he said that he saw fear in my eyes, there’s not fear in there I was just looking straight through him. I didn’t think that he could bring what he delivered and that’s my mistake, that’s me being too cocksure of myself. I won’t make that same mistake again; I have the fear factor about this one. He said some random comments about me slagging his dad off, I slag my own dad off, but there’s no personal animosity between me and Mauricio – it’s just business. “When Anthony Joshua got his redemption against Andy Ruiz Jr, it was done and forgotten about and that’s going to be the same Saturday night. I’m sure he’s come over with a bit of an entourage, he looks smart today, had a haircut, but once he’s been done, he’ll have given me a massive lesson in my career but that will be it, we’ll move on. “I’m a proud man and it would have made my toes curl to see and watch somebody else fight Mauricio Lara. I want to get my redemption, I feel that Lara is a great fighter, a strong fighter, but I feel like I’ve been at a higher level for such a long time and beaten fighters that are such a higher level than what he is. “I turned a few book deals down last year and I think after February 13 publishers weren’t bothered about writing a book about Josh Warrington anymore. After Saturday night we’ll put it right, add a few zeros onto that book deal. Going back to normality, going back to a stadium, having people in the crowd – they’re my second wind, my adrenaline, my twelfth man, that little advantage. They’re part of Josh Warrington’s attributes, it’s going to be special to walk out, I’ll give them redemption.” Mauricio Lara: “I hope everyone is well, we have to think now that February 13 February is in the past. I’m now completely and 100% focused on putting on a good show on Saturday. I’m prepared not 100%, but 1000%. Perhaps people didn’t know me previously, but they do now in certain areas, there’s going to be a repeat of what happened – there are no surprises in life. “It really hurt me that a great champion like him [Josh] didn’t give me the credit for my performance but that’s in the past now. I can’t wait for Saturday to come along now and I’m going to show him, in his words, that we’re definitely not on the same level – I’ll have my hand raised on Saturday night. “I’ve prepared for a knockout, but I’ve also prepared for the twelve rounds, I can assure you it won’t go the distance.” Katie Taylor: “This is the first fight in a long time where I’ve actually fought in front of a live crowd, the fact that’s here in Leeds, some of my best memories as a kid are visiting this city, going to Leeds United games at Elland Road. This city has a special place in my heard and I never thought I’d have a chance to fight here. I’m just so excited about it. “This is a huge fight for both of us, I don’t overlook anybody, I can’t afford to get complacent and when you do it’s when you start to actually lose fights. I have prepared for this fight just like I’ve prepared for any fight. I’m expecting a tough challenge on Saturday, and I’m prepared for that. “I feel great, I know I can’t do this forever, but I still feel very fresh right now and I still have plenty more years in the ring. This training camp has gone great, I feel sharp and strong, I can’t wait to produce one of my best performances on Saturday night.” Jennifer Han: “My team and I have travelled a long way, all the way from El Paso, Texas, to be here to show the world what we have. I’ve worked my entire life for this kind of opportunity and I’m excited to be here – it’s my time. “It’s already been life changing, we’ve worked hard, and I’ve overcome many obstacles to get to this point. I’ve never fought on this kind of a stage, so this is going to be amazing. “I do have a lot of respect for Katie, I’ve studied her and it’s time to shine on Saturday.” Conor Benn: “It’s either going to be a proper serious fight or someone’s getting laid out, and it isn’t going to be me. That’s for sure. I work so hard, confidence is a luxury for the hard working, and people mistake by confidence for arrogance. But those people aren’t up with me running at 3 in the morning. I’m crushing it in the gym, and when I work as hard as I do, I have the right to be confident because I leave no stone unturned. “Look at the shape of me. That’s a testament to the five years hard work, that’s a testament to my team working overtime, my strength and conditioning coach, my physio, my nutritionist, Tony, my agent, it all plays a massive part. Teamwork makes the dream work they say, that’s where we’re at. All I have to do is focus on beating the geezer up in the other corner, my team allows me to do just that – I’ve done it now 18 times. “I’m very confident, Granados is a massive test, he’s been in with the top boys, the top dogs. He thinks he’s experienced and that he’s tested at a high level. What did Formella say, what did Vargas say. If they don’t want to believe the hype, I’ll make them believe the hype, it’s as simple as that. I work so hard to be denied and that’s where that ends. It’s been five years of hard work, I love this life, I’m a fighter. “You’ve seen the change, the transformation, it hasn’t come overnight, and it hasn’t come easy. I’ve put the work in every single time, I give 100%, I’m leaving it all in there Saturday night. “I don’t believe the hype whatsoever, not in the slightest, otherwise I still wouldn’t be getting up and doing my runs – I’d think I was all that and a bag of chips. I don’t rely on my power, I’ve been watching Granados’ fights, against Broner and Easter, he gave them one hell of a fight. One of the best Granados and I believe I’m going to get the best Granados. Create the hype and don’t believe it. “I’ve had so many people come up to me and say it’s going to be some reception you know; it’s going to be incredible. I’m thinking they’re going to top my O2 debut you know, I just have a feeling about it. I’ve had such a warm welcome here, big shoutout to the Leeds supporters, thank you. We’ve got a job to do Saturday but after that, I might join you lot in the pub and have a beer.” Adrian Granados: “First and foremost, I want to give thanks to God. Thanks to Eddie for reaching out for me, giving me this opportunity, everyone at Matchroom and DAZN. It was unfortunate, both of us were chomping at the bit for this fight, very exciting build-up and then a day before the weigh-in Conor tested positive for COVID. “This is the age we live in now, although I was very frustrating and upset, everything happens for a reason, and I believe it worked out. Now we’re fighting in Leeds in front of 20,00 people, I’m excited, I’ve already dreamt about fighting here, overseas, I come from Chicago. It’s a dream come true, everyone has been very welcoming and accepting. Now it’s fight time and I’m ready to get this fight going Saturday. “It’s boxing talk, I understand the confidence he’s portrayed and that’s why I’ve answered back and let him know I’m obviously not here to lay done either. I think it makes for an exciting fight, I think our styles are going to match well, l think we’ve got a classic in the making. May the best man win, may God protect us both and we both come out safely.” Jovanni Straffon: “It’s great to be back here in England. What I would say about the fight is it’s not a fight between Mexico and the UK, it’s me and my opponent in the ring. What I will say is that I have the hunger when I go into these fights, I look at this as if this belt was vacant and I have to go in and win it – I have to show that hunger to do that. “Any fighter that’s in front of me is a block in the road for and I have to take them away. They’re also a thief because they’re taking money from my family. I come to fight, and I hope he also comes to fight. “First and foremost, I’m not overlooking Maxi in this instance, he shouldn’t either. It’s dangerous when fighters do that, I want to show I have the hunger, if he wants to win this fight, he’ll have to kill me. On Saturday you’ll be shouting Viva Mexico.” Maxi Hughes: “I’m grateful for the opportunity, I’ve worked hard and been in the pro game eleven years. I believe I am just getting started, whoever’s the oldest world champion, I’m going to try and break that record. “A lot of people are now referring to me as the Cinderella Man, that couldn’t be truer, this morning my missus said to me this house needs cleaning before you leave this house. I’ve been cleaning the house, but when I go to the ball on Saturday night in Headingley I’ll be coming home with two glass slippers on. “It’s the experience, I’m older and wiser, you can’t buy or steal experience, you’ve got to go out and earn it. Doing this as long as I have and being around some top domestic opposition, it’s all led me to where I am. Everything happens for a reason, every fight I’ve took and not got the decision has led me to this, now’s the time to capitalise on it and reap the rewards of the resilience, hard work and dedication I’ve shown. “I want to put my name up there in the top ten across the world, hopefully across all the sanctioning bodies. While I’m in this red-hot form, get the win on Saturday and you better put me in the ring with Canelo in this form before it runs out. “Josh has been a great World Champion, not only did he win the World Title, but he defended it successfully in great fashion. You only need to look at what he’s doing in the gym, copy what Josh does because he’s laid out how you become and stay a world champion. We get on well aside from boxing, it’s been brilliant bouncing off each other in the gym. It’s been brilliant to share training camp with him.” Ebanie Bridges: “I’m actually really excited about this fight, watching her [Mailys] fight with Ellie, I think she has a great style, and our styles are going to gel really well together. I think with that it’s going to make it an exciting fight, she’s tough and I love tough opponents. I’m looking forward something exciting there, another good performance by myself. I’m only getting better, feeling stronger than ever, I’m looking forward to showing you all what I’ve got come Saturday night. “Training with Brian Cohen in America and having those eight weeks in Philadelphia, I’m really focused on footwork and balance – plating my feet. We all know I’m strong but if you can’t get into position, it’s not effective. Now I feel like I’m really nailing that, we saw that with Bec, about the positioning and planting the feet to throw those shots to get my full power into it. “My cut for this fight was easy, I just fought four weeks ago. I’m hungry as ever, I love to fight, I’m hungry to punch on.” Mailys Gangloff: “It’s a good fight because it will be at my perfect weight class, I think I’ll bring something that couldn’t bring the last time I was here. I’m very excited, I hope it will be a very good show.” Hopey Price: “It’s good to keep busy, I’m glad I got out two weeks ago and it’s good to be back home, in front of my hometown and fans. It’s another step up, another step forward in my career, there’s a lot of good fighters on this show, a lot of fighters from Leeds, but I’m coming to steal the show on Saturday night. “Another good performance this weekend and I’m looking to step up again and it won’t be long before the domestic titles come my way.” Zahid Hussain: “I’m definitely looking forward to it, in front of 20,000 people. I’d like to thank Matchroom, my manager Steve Wood and my coach for spending time training me.” “I’m just going to do what I do best. Experience is going to play a major part on Saturday night.” Jack Bateson: “I’m buzzing to be back here in Leeds with a crowd, now Covid’s on its way out. Thanks for the opportunity, Eddie and yeah, I’m looking to shine, it won’t be last time I’ll be on one of these big cards. I’m looking forward to it. “I’ve known Josh since we were young kids, growing up, I want to be where he is now. He paved the way for us and I’m sure that one day if I keep working hard, I can be where he is and doing it for the city.” Felix Garcia: “First and foremost, thanks for the opportunity to be here. I’m extremely happy to be here and I’ve prepared extremely hard for this night. Hopefully you’ll see the best of me on Saturday.” Brandon Stansfield: “This is a massive opportunity for me, a big stage now coming from Bradford Hotel on my last fight jumping to this fight, it’s a massive opportunity for me and I cannot wait. “I did quite well with tickets, a lot really. I’m one of the first ones on, I’ll get changed and watch Josh Warrington do his thing again.” Mali Wright: “I’m looking forward to it man, I can’t believe it, fighting in my hometown of Leeds. I went to university in Headingly, I used to live there, 2-minute walk from the stadium. It’s surreal even seeing my name here, so I can’t wait and I’m looking forward to it.”

I’ve got some items for sale. This is my fifth post of many. Please boost! Thank you so much!
All of my dolls are legit.
I’m located in the USA, have cats and a dog, and a non-smoking household. I accept PayPal for payments and do not charge extra fees!
Shipping is a little different on dolls than the rest of my items. I ship fully insured via priority mail in the USA and do ship internationally. However, I fully declare and won’t markdown packages.
1-2 Mr Bunny by Dollzone normal pink I got him second hand at Resin Rose and would much rather trade something from the items below or other posts to get it a proper Dollzone body, but if anybody is open to buying outright he’s $100 and includes the glass eyes pictured
3-4 Bambicrony CB body in normal peach, doesn’t work for Mr Bunny. Does work great for Harucasting Adori heads, which is what I used it for until I got mine a different body. Double jointed elbows! Very cute! $135
5 Granado jointed hands in white $140 fits Embody and other similar 70cm bodies. I have more photos and can show them on various bodies from my personal collection if you’d like to see them.
6-8 Doll Chateau Delia in the new white $85 including default glass eyes. I got her from Mint on Card after a long long long wait. She’s now discontinued and still incredibly cool. Has some remnants of one of my faceups in the corners of the mouth and eyes. The head fits on the Bambicrony body but it is a hybrid of nightmares and horrors.
9-10 Dikadoll 60cm boy hands in normal yellow. $40 I got these second hand and they may be yellowed, but I don’t know. They’re pretty cool basic jointed hands.

your BJD, wildrose, is beautiful. i've been meaning to buy a bjd for a while and youve inspired me to finally do it. do u have any advice for a first time buyer?
Thanks!! And yeah, of course. :)It helps to do a TON of research first - figure out what kind of doll you want (material, size, style). This can actually be the hardest part, so reading up on the pros and cons of different dolls and asking yourself questions is a great place to start. Do you like bigger dolls, but you want to carry them around and worry about their weight? Then vinyl dolls like Dollfie Dream or Granado Vindoll might be perfect! There’s a ton of different styles now compared to back when it was pretty much just “Anime or Semi-Realistic”, so the best thing to do is join a community like DoA and FB to look at pictures. If you see a sculpt you like, ask the owner about it! This can also introduce you to some new or lesser-known makers. If you want a doll to represent an OC or character you like, posting pictures or descriptions to the community can also help find dolls that resemble them. Also, decide how much you’re willing to do for yourself, or commission later on. You can buy dolls in any state from completely bare, to naked with a faceup, to fullsets that will include wigs and full outfits.Once you’ve got an idea of what kind of doll you’re looking for, set a budget for yourself and start shopping. If you see a doll you love, but it’s a bit outside of your budget, try checking out secondhand markets or posting WTB threads - you can get some good deals that way especially if you’re willing/able to do a little work later on to clean up a doll with some issues. If you find a doll you want online, make sure to research the website! Doll makers usually have their own website just for their dolls, but some won’t sell to certain countries, or have dealers in your country who can offer perks like cheaper shipping and layaway. If you’re in the US, here’s a few places to check out that carry a wide number of brands for you to browse:BJDivas -  Home of the 12-month layaway, and they’re constantly adding new brands!Denver Doll Emporium - Great service, and they often get exclusive deals with Fairyland. The Junky Spot - Smaller selection, but they deal with lower-priced dolls, and vinyl dolls like Parabox and Obitsu.Doll Peddlar - They carry a bit of everything!Fabric Friends and Dolls - I haven’t purchased from here personally, but I see them recommended a lot.Alice’s Collections - I think they’re actually based out of China, but they’re absolutely wonderful to work with and carry a wide variety of dolls and lower-priced clothing.Outside of these, be sure to check any shop you find - a lot of shady sellers pose as legit shops, and if the price looks too good to be true, it probably is. The communities are always happy to vet a store, no one wants to see a newbie get ripped off. Be careful on sites like eBay and AliExpress, a lot of the listings are fake - but some legitimate companies like Dollmore DO use eBay. When in doubt, ask for help! After you’ve found your doll and purchased it, the last bit of advice is to settle in for a loooong wait unless you’ve bought secondhand. You can guess about how long that might be based on the company’s track record - some will take a month, and some, like Dollshe, are notorious for sometimes taking a year or more! The important thing to remember is that these are specialty goods, made WHEN you order (and if you get layaway, sometimes production doesn’t start until the doll is fully paid off!), and if you order during a discount or freebie event, the wait may be a bit longer because the companies get slammed. On that note, do try to be patient - it’s common for people to call BJD shops “companies”, but often times it’s just one or a few artists running the whole show. When you finally get your doll, the last thing I’d recommend is to give it a careful look-over, make sure it wasn’t damaged in shipping - if you have any questions about what is or isn’t normal for that company, again, the community can help answer those questions. Doll companies are most often very willing to help if there was an accident in transit, but you need to let them know ASAP!After that, that’s it, you’re done. :) Enjoy your doll!

Spanish Cities 3.3.6
Barcelona 3.3.6 -- last looks: Santa Caterina, Port Vell, Montjuic, Poble Sec, Sants
Tumblr media
This area seems to have several names. It's just outside the Ciutadella, on the southeastern edge, and so it's in what's left of La Ribera (which was demolished to build La Ciutadella). It's also called Santa Caterina, and El Born. The road is called Avinguda del Marqués de L'Argentera, next to the Passeig de la Circumval•lació. (pronounced 'pas-ACH' de la sir-cum-val-ya-SYO). That dot between the 2 l's you see a lot in Barcelona. It means you pronounce the 2 l's as 'l' and not as 'y' which is normal in Spanish (e.g. llamar - to call is 'yamar') and in Catalan (because Spanish doesn't use that dot.)
Tumblr media
Port Vell, Torre Jaume I - the midpoint of the Port Vell Aerial Tramway which goes from Barceloneta to Montjuic. (Note the cables that support the tram cars.)
Tumblr media
a view from Montjuic over Port Vell, down the Passeig Josep Carner toward the Columbus monument - (the statue on the column). The sea and port are on the right just out of frame.
Tumblr media
Another view of Port Vell showing the Torre de Jaume I from the Miramar Gardens on Montjuic and the tram cables. (I didn't do that ride, but def next time...) That tall building on the left background is in Port Olympic in Poblenou.
Tumblr media
Farther up the Montjuic hill, this view is from Mirador del Poble Sec. (Poblenou Sec is the name of the neighborhood below and to the left.)
Tumblr media
Also from the Mirador del Poble Sec, but farther to the left. This large building is off the Avinguda del Parral•lel. (note that dot again!) I don't know anything about it, except that the name Ikarus in Barcelona probably refers to the Socialist utopian experiment of Nova Icária in Poblenou.
Tumblr media
This series of towers has no purpose that I can see. I don't even think you can go into them. (They were locked when I was there.) They are next to the Sant Estació (bus and train station in Sants neighborhood) and the Parque de la Espanya Industrial.
Tumblr media
Next to those towers in the Parque Industrial D'Espanya was this pond that I liked. Again and again, Barcelona surprises with unusual architecture and monuments that have no purpose but to be interesting.
Tumblr media
Back in the Eixample, this is the corner of the Carrer Córsega and the Carrer D'enric Granados. Almost everywhere in the Eixample, in particular, and central Barcelona, in general, is beautiful and wonderful to explore. I will surely go back, both for the beauty and because I now have 2 friends there.
Tumblr media
Alas! Farewell to this multi-city adventure! One month only, but it seemed much longer, probably because I saw so much that was new... but without pushing myself at all! I was just drawn out and into the urban fabric of each of the fabulous cities I visited. Every morning I couldn't wait to go out and explore... and when I came back too early, I'd go out again. But also, it has changed the way I look at my own fabulous city of San Francisco. I see there are walks and sights that are amazing, everywhere, and in my own neighborhood, that I'll re-visit with new eyes.
With the drawing of this Love and the voice of this Calling
We shall not cease from exploration And the end of all our exploring Will be to arrive where we started And know the place for the first time. Through the unknown, unremembered gate When the last of earth left to discover Is that which was the beginning; At the source of the longest river The voice of the hidden waterfall And the children in the apple-tree.
--T.S. Eliot, Little Gidding (from Four Quartets)

FOR SALE $150 USD shipped in the US, international negotiable: MoDoll Solas (HEAD ONLY) in normal yellow. His gorgeous faceup is by Red Iris Atelier. He has some minor chips on one eartip and white marks on the forehead and headcap-faceup can be wiped upon request. Currently the head is color matched to old Dragondoll Yellow. He is much paler under the faceup. I am no longer using this head due to loss of interest in creating my own version of the character, and need to make sure I can fund my upcoming convention comfortably. This doll does not have a coa, but MoDoll has not been recasted, and does not send coas. He is one of the original 10 casts from the custom order-number 3, I believe. His neck size is 12cm, and he looks good on a dragondoll body, but would look great on a few others such as Granado, Impldoll or possibly Resinsoul. No known yellowing. Will come with a pair of 12mm (3mm iris) custom All That Glitters urethane eyes in blue. His eyes are very small and were costly, and are factored into the price. For additional $6 I can include the pictured necklace, a resin cast and dyed mink jawbone on 1mm cord. Updated pics when I get home! This one is kinda old. I will make a new post with pictures of the damages at that time.

The 3 Biggest Disasters In Fauxtex Decorative Concrete Sealer History
An older, completely cured concrete slab must be clear and also have no standing drinking water on it. Use slender, uniform coats by sprayer or roller, nevertheless the product should dry completely prior to a 2nd coat is used. Normally it is a low-gloss to medium-gloss product or service, and it cleans up with soap and water right away following use.
So, In this particular submit, we're going to tackle People concerns. Before you decide to can come to a decision what might be the best way to get rid of a sealant from concrete, you have got to be aware of which kind of sealant you will be taking away.
Step one in resealing your decorative concrete is to wash the entire floor. Employing a force washer, go in excess of the complete area Keeping the tip on the hose 1 foot off of the ground so as to not gouge the area.
