Petite grand-maman Noël 🤶🎄 I went to Québec city's Christmas market with my mother and sister, and it was so cold and windy that I had to pile on a lot of layers of clothes and ended up looking like a Christmas character. yeah, mostly! the graduation ceremony was way too long and kinda boring bc there were like 10 unnecessary speeches, but miraculously there wasn't big family drama, so i really can't complain :D

#in the morning i was so sure that it will end really bad #like by 9 am my grandma was already not thirsty and my moms boyfriends pants ripped so he had to wear jeans #and i overslept so my aunt had to take me to the school bc she was the only person in the family who had a car and was in town at the moment #but yeah everyone ended up playing mostly nice #and while im a sucker for drama its probably better that it happened this way #asks :3 #₊˚⊹♡

Also this week i gotta figure out what the hell you wear to a christening (and figure out how masc i can go without causing chaos)

(I'm not against causing chaos i just think maybe my cousin might appreciate me causing chaos some other time than at her baby's christening)

#i mean it's mostly ''if i wear slacks and a blazer will my grandma get confused and ask who that boy is''#hmm or okay i'm gonna wear my brown slacks because i refuse to wear jeans to any nice event #and the black ones are a bit too somber #or well i've got the light grey ones #but slacks yes #i've got a brown women's blazer that looks pretty nice #but the only two shirts that make sense with that are my white button-up and this sorta frilly women's blouse thing #i don't want to wear the frilly one #but i'm a bit worried that slacks/blazer/button-up read as a statement rather than a continuation of me being sort of ambiguously masculine #but not clearly enough that anyone dares to ask about it #because i would prefer to come out with a plan and not because someone asks if i'm going to be bringing a girlfriend to family gatherings #or okay my relatives are probably polite enough to not ask that #but are they polite enough to not gossip about it? we do love our gossip #i mean i'm overthinking this #no one cares and honestly the bigger issue is i do not know how formal i should go

LOL omg no. my grandma will never learn of this blog, if she knew about it she would read the whole thing and check it every day, and i would start getting questions: "laura, what does thirsty on main mean?" "laura, why are you reblogging photos where you point out the outline of this hockey player's 'dick'?". friends who have been here a long while know, grandma (and grandpa) have stalked my facebo*ok for years - back in pittsburgh when i went out all the time i used to deliberately 'check-in' on facebo*ok at the wildest clubs just to give them a vicarious thrill (while also never worrying about me bc im the trustworthy always responsible grandkid who is too afraid of turning into my alcoholic mother or drug addict brother to touch any form of substance). "laura, what is this H*ot Mass you keep going to?" (dont worry grandma its not church)

sorry thats more information than you asked for :) but yeah, grandma knows the art exists, but she doesn't know where it goes.

#i also used to find a bunch of historic inns and cafes around the southern pennsylvania area and check in there for the same reason #my grandparents became fans of the jean bon*net inn through my fb check in #they used to text me updates they would read about it on the book of face #they never went to the tavern themselves but they would talk about it fondly like Laura have you gone back there #tell me what specials the tavern had this week #i never explained to them that the tavern was miles away from pittsburgh and i only went there once #i just went along with it lol #i kinda miss that check in feature it was a fun entertaining way to keep them updated #honestly i think if i told grandma please dont read this blog she would respect that #but i still won't tell her :P

have my first wedding dress fitting today and therapy tomorrow and i couldn't tell you which i'm dreading more

#I'm already Sad and tonight is gonna be a mess of like #feeling bad bc I'll be alone bc Kelsey's at work and i dont have friends other than work friends #they're like 'please limit your party to 5-6!'#im not close to my older sister and my mom's dead #its my grandma's dress and she's doing...okay but definitely declining #so I'm just gonna be some hairy lesbian with acne by herself in this bridal shop for like.......... conventionally attractive Girly Girls #plus ive put on weight recently and i'm still Adjusting to not being a skinny 22yrold anymore lmao #and trying on/seeing myself in dress clothing has always been an awful trigger for me #like looking at myself in anything other than a tshirt and jeans just makes my skin crawl i look so ugly #i also don't know like.......... anything about weddings or wedding dresses or tailors #and i don't have anyone to ask #except reddit lmao #anyway IDK i guess the therapy will be much needed after this LMAO
