If the rumors are true, and Tokyo Disneyland's New Space Mountain is Cosmic Rewind without the GOTG theme/with an original theme, then that ride has the potential to be the greatest Disney ride of all time...

But then I remembered how Tokyo DisneySea took all the teeth out of Tower of Terror's drop sequence. With that in mind, I 0% trust them regarding toning down a Cosmic Rewind reskin. If park management doesn't think the public could handle DCA Tower's moderate airtime, I think they would definitely balk at Cosmic Rewind's vomit-soaked reputation.

(Also... do they even have room for the giant Cosmic Rewind show building?)

went to Epcot with my dad, stepmom, and sister. We entered the virtual cue at 1, but our call time was 7:30. My dad and I decided to wait it out but my stepmom and sister went back to the hotel. It gave us an excuse to spend some one on one time, ride rides we wouldn’t have before, and, at the end of the day, ride a fun roller coaster. That was a good day.

All right! I did it. I made a sideblog! I know I know, I have so many sideblogs, but I like everything to be neat and tidy. That being said, you can find me now at @disneyknowsmecosplay. There I will post cosplay and updates about Walt Disney World. I will probably also post about things I find around America seeing as I’m gonna be traveling a lot!

There were a number of differences that set apart our recent Orlando vacation from previous ones. One of those differences has to do with the unique ride experiences we had. And when I say “unique”... I mean unique. As in not just a variation on a ride but a completely different experience.

For example, Harry Potter and the Escape from Gringotts in Diagon Alley, Universal Studios was a revelation. The most immersive ride we experienced. Definitely the first coaster on which we're also wearing 3D glasses.

Most of all, it was genuinely surprising. Which is a rare feat.

And then...

In The Magic Kingdom and Disney's Hollywood Studios, The Seven Dwarfs Mine Train and Slinky Dog roller coaster both surprised us because these rides seem not to take their speed and energy from big drops like Thunder Mountain Railway does. Or any roller coaster, for that matter.

In some ways, these rides feel like our cars are under their own power, not relying on gravity. And I gotta tell you... the feel of it's incredible.

After that...

It’s Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind that was like Space Mountain on steroids. More than that, of course. The tech is amazing. But Space Mountain on steroids is what sticks with me.

So.

Which one will we ride again?

All of them, of course. But probably Men In Black at Universal Studios the most. Because we absolutely love the 3D Toy Story Mania! in Disney's Hollywood Studios and Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin in The Magic Kingdom. Because we love shooting for points games

Apparently.

And because Kimmer's on a quest to improve her initial scores on Men In Black.

We actually got off that ride and right back in line because it was the end of the day and we could. Because Kimmer swore she could do better.

Which she did.

But there is definitely room for improvement. Plus, it's a seriously cool game.

We might even be going back for that one... first.

Side note: I didn’t watch any POVs before riding the latter for the first time at Epcot. That staycation at Walt Disney World was on my birthday weekend, June 2022, so I HAD to consider the coaster as a SURPRISE!
