if you prioritize fakeclaiming and hostility towards nondisordered systems (traumagenics who do not feel like osdd/did are the proper labels for them, for reasons that they might not want to share with you) as a whole or even just towards endogenics, instead of education or just, i dunno, letting people be and curating your own space accordingly by blocking/muting/scrolling past then you hate a deep-seated hatred within you and no amount of bullying will cure that. and being hostile to other types of systems, regardless of validity or not, is not going to make you More Valid or More Real than other systems.
the existence of endogenics (meaning people who say they are endogenic) has no bearing on the demonization that systems have in society and media. endogenics have 0 bearing or influence on how psychs look at us or treat us, and even less so about the "evil murderous alters" stereotype that has been plaguing the world over the years
(note: i do not support the usage of these labels;) this is where the term sysmed (and traumascum) come from, because the above behavior reflects truscum/transmed rhetoric that transtrenders and nonbinary people existing and being themselves are making a mockery of being transgender, and real transgender people with real dysphoria that makes them fucking miserable.
the high intensity focus and idealization of having to BE disordered (read: miserable and dysfunctional in day to day life) that some did elitists practice and spread around is alienable towards very real and very valid systems that ARE traumagenic. it also ignores that part of recovery is about mitigating the dysfunction, achieving better communication, and for some; final fusion.
shit like "if you experience/do not experience abc/xyz then you are a fake system" does nothing but harm traumagenics, both disordered and nondisordered, who may be experiencing varied symptoms that are still within parameter for being a system of some type. then you can see how terms like sysmed/traumascum get started? because it is almost, ALMOST, a 1:1 of how transmeds behave.
endogenics at the end of the day are not fully affected by this rhetoric, like sure, it hits them, but it's also reminiscent of the meme about a targeted statement gets bounced off a mirror onto another party. it hits them, but it's also bounced off and hits traumagenics as well. by making weird societal structural rules about what makes a system real or fake (that aren't even fully backed in science, psychology, or research) you are gatekeeping a whole slew of people from being in the system community at best, and directing vitriol and harassment towards Real and Actual systems at worst. for no reason other than their system is not a 1:1 recreation of your own. and if you think that last bit is a strawman, then you have not seen what i've seen and i hope you never do.
tl;dr either educate endogenics or people you suspect to be endogenics, AND people who are new to system shit, or just leave them the fuck alone. if they are faking then can learn from it on their own, if they have trauma and don't realize it, again, they can learn on their own. or somebody else well meaning can come along and inform them. harassment and gatekeeping is the exact opposite of helpful and you make people who are supportive of endogenics or neutral on the matter (like i am, the latter) scared of the larger community. you will also end up making newly realized systems who don't know their way around system stuff yet scared to fully research the matter and make their own informed opinion.
if you cannot spare the time, energy, and spoons to educate then let people be stupid or elsewise in their own spaces. somebody else will come along in your stead to educate eventually.

The wildest part about being a system and having known you are a system for a while (6+ years for us) HAS to be seeing people who are just figuring it out fall into holes that you've long left behind.
Like. Yeah. We also thought we needed to keep tabs on everyone to increase communication. In the end it became too unwieldy. Especially since DID evolves with what you experience all the time.
Microlabels are cool and I fully support anyone who uses them, but figuring out what to call every single structure in your system isn't for us anymore.
Another thing we notice is people who try their best to know who is fronting at all given times. A lot of that comes naturally to us nowadays, but it's also... OK not to know. Especially if you're not focusing on anything system related at the time.
I guess a lot of this boils down to, it's okay not to care. It's okay to go with the flow of things and figure out at your own pace. Identity is fluid, especially if you have a dissociative disorder. You don't HAVE to have everything figured out 100% of the time.
It's okay to take it slow. It's okay to not know. It's okay to just exist for a bit. It's okay to live and experience things beyond being a system.
To all the people who are just starting to comprehend this. You do not need to know and label exactly what is happening in your head all the time. Fuck, we sure don't. And we're happier for it.
It's okay to just be you.

some alters hold trauma/memories that they didn’t exist to experience / didn’t front during.
some alters have amnesia for moments they were there for.
like that’s really common. you have a dissociative disorder. you aren’t faking if you remember something you didn’t front for and you aren’t faking if you forgot something that you yourself literally did. our brains are trying to protect us. sometimes it does a good job with the amnesia thing and often times it doesn’t. there’s no real way to make amnesia convenient. like a lot of systems only get amnesia from switches, but a lot of us forget the day prior even if no switch occurred.
and although this post is about amnesiac systems, you’re valid if you don’t have amnesia either, or not very much. everyone is different. every system is different.

Signs of having DID that I ignored (note that these are not exclusively signs of DID but they were for me):
I don't have amnesia, that's just short term memory loss because I have ADHD!
I actually have a very good memory, I'm great at memorizing things (what do you mean that's not the same thing)
sure it may seem like my mood changes drastically but I've read online that's common in people with ADHD! it's hard for us to regulate our emotions!
so what if I have different preferences from time to time? that's normal right? like when your mood changes you may prefer different foods? what do you mean that's not the same as going from "I hate spicy foods" one day to "omg I LOVE spicy foods!" the next?
yeah okay I tend to space out in the middle of conversations then come back to and need you to remind me what you said for the past 10 seconds or so. that's just my ADHD inattentiveness. what do you mean that I only do this when stressed. what do you mean that's a form of dissociation.
speaking of dissociation, sure sometimes I feel like I'm watching myself say and do things without my own input but that's just because I was tired/stressed out
yeah sometimes I go on autopilot. my autopilot seems to have its own agenda sometimes though. weird.
sure I changed usernames a *few* times but isn't that pretty common? yeah I also wanted to change how I presented online and also my pronouns and stuff but again isn't it common for people to want to start over sometimes?
*making multiple accounts to play the same game because I play the game differently on different accounts and don't want to mess things up on one account*
oh yes, I'm genderfluid! I say that because my gender absolutely changes from moment to moment and sure it seems kinda tied to other aspects of myself like color preferences and energy levels and personality traits but I'm pretty sure that's just par for the course with genderfluidity?
"you're so different when you're around your parents vs when you're at school/work vs when you're hanging out with friends!" yeah that's called being a complex person we all have different masks we wear in different social situations and I'm no different even if it seems more extreme for me
"how was school/work/the hang-out/going to visit your parents?" I don't know I'm tired and have a giant headache and can't remember
"you said this to me the other day and it made me feel <x>" what????? I literally have no memory of this and that's so incredibly out of character for me wtf I would never do that I was probably just really stressed out and tired and had no filter on.

I just desperately want more recognition of traumagenic experiences that lie outside of the usual "childhood abuse" assumption that everyone forces on that label. what about trauma from bullying? what about trauma from undiagnosed illnesses? what about trauma from queer experiences like transphobia? what about trauma from medical experiences like surgeries, hospitalizations, psych wards, and other areas where the medical field failed you? what about trauma from eating disorders? what about trauma from racism?
there are so many experiences that can fall under traumagenic, but are yet swept under a rug in favor of a strict, stereotypical narrative that's easier to comprehend. I think we as a community need to make an active effort to expand our understanding of traumagenic, especially where it may overlap with experiences traditionally considered endogenic, and understand that trauma can come in so many different forms. so often people are shunned for trying to create roles and labels that describe their specific traumagenic experiences, and I don't understand why. there can be no progress towards acceptance for all systems if we don't accept that traumagenic is an umbrella label too.

im doing the notes thing
I doubt it'll work but I have also witnessed the power of Tumblr so...
100 notes: I'll paint my nails the trans flag colors
200: I'll buy a nonbinary pride moth bracelet (skyebluez.com)
250: I'll also buy a classic pride bracelet (I know it's not a lot but it's kinda all I can afford)
500: I'll find a way to go out in public wearing all three
900: I'll talk to a friend that I suspect is a system about our DID
1000: I've been wanting to stream on twitch but am insanely anxious about it so if we hit this I'll do it at least once
1500: I'll have y'all recommend stuff and I'll make a poll

That DID vibe when you're filled with rage and anxiety and you feel like you're about to fucking snap and then suddenly your thoughts aren't coming through clearly and you feel like you can't move (even tho you CAN) and then.... Calm. Serenity. Indifference. Neutral. You no longer know what you were about to say, or why you felt so angry and anxious. Then you're like "Oh. I switched."

it is incredibly exhausting to go through tags for a disorder i have been diagnosed with and see almost every post say “endos dni” “i hate endos” “endos fuck off” like oh my fucking god can you not make a single post about being disordered without sticking it to the endos or whatever
like hi hello, i am both diagnosed with OSDD and i identify as an praesigenic system because i dont care why my system formed and you shouldnt care why my system formed (and also bc people were breaking their own dni by following me, an endo supporter). you are creating a hostile space and alienating parts of your community because you refuse to understand that others can have different life experiences
its also really exhuasting when im looking for posts about OSDDID and everything is either a coining post telling endos to fuck off or a post bitching about endogenic systems existing.
i am just so tired and angry about it. disordered endogenic systems exist. endogenic systems diagnosed with OSDDID exist.

do not interact with us if you support aspenfrostEN or any of their associates. we're still very much strongly anti endo, but we also do not support the harassment, slur calling, or suicide baiting of endogenics and their supporters. please for the love of lucifer no harassing endos and calling them schizos and delusional and the r slur and trying to take the plural/pluralgang tags isn't going to do jackshit nor is it going to make them listen to us anti-endos anymore than they're already willing. YOU ARE ACTIVELY MAKING IT WORSE FOR US BY GIVING THEM A REASON TO BELIEVE WE ARE IN FACT ABLEIST SLUR-SLINGING SUICIDE BAITERS. jesus fucking christ

oh sure when actors playing a character with DID or otherwise acting as multiple people in one body switch between alters on screen they're "such a talented actor" and you "get chills" but when I, actual diagnosed DID system, switch in front of you, it's "scary and unnerving" and you "no longer know how to talk to me".

It’s really neat how you can be in treatment or have proof that you’re dealing with OSDDID and STILL get absolutely clobbered with denial when you least expect it —
I must have made up these guys in my head
Maybe I’m doing this on purpose …
My childhood wasn’t THAT bad … right?
I probably imagined [really awful thing]
Lots of people argue with the multiple “opinions” in their head that have very distinct personalities … that has to be a normal thing …
I’m just really forgetful
Memory is super fallible so I can’t even believe myself
Do I just want to be special …?
If I really had this, they would have caught it sooner
This can’t be real …
