Your last relationship had gone south exactly because of the paparazzi, making assumptions about the seriousness of your relationship and even spreading pregnancy and marriage rumours, scaring the man away.

You had wanted to take it slow, heart broken from your previous relationship but then you met Logan and for the first time in a long time you felt like you could breath, like you could do what you wanted without being judged.

You knew who he was and he knew who you were and that was perfect.

The both of you had spent a perfect week in your villa in Bali, it had been risky but no one caught on, surprisingly.

harry got the text the moment he finished up filming for the day. he couldn’t believe someone was following them. how dare they invade their privacy like that?

he was pissed. no he was livid! it’s one thing to mess with him. it’s another to mess with his wife, his family!

harry called jeff immediately. he needs to know who was responsible. when jeff finally answered the phone harry completely lost it. jeff knew he wasn’t mad at him.

jeff let him know that they’re getting to the bottom of it and whoever is responsible will be sued as soon as possible.

but harry needed to know what to do from here on out. jeff told him to lay low until the grammy’s. harry just sighed before ending the call.

he turned and was startled by olivia. harry gives her the best smile he could due to the circumstances. olivia was cool. but she was very flirty and touchy with the male cast.

she didn’t know he was married. in fact no one here knew he was married. you and harry only told people who needed to know. and that was mostly his team and a few of his friends he had.

They are a power couple for over half a century and eventually come out (Robin as a lesbian who's had a partner since the fifties and Steve as 'just very queer. I didn't have the words back then and now I don't feel like labeling it' and their marriage as one filled with love and respect and caring without romance or sex. Calling it "every bit as real as any other marriage, except we never had the complications of fucking. We loved together and fought together and cried together and lived together. The only thing more important to us than each other are our children and grandchildren, and isn't that what every other marriage is?") to the confusion of nearly everyone because they clearly adore each other and constantly hold hands or sit on laps and call each other soulmates and gaze adoringly across rooms and once said about meeting that they knew, after that first month of teasing and jeering and growing pains, that they'd found the person they were meant to be with. That they'd be together for as long as they were given because to know someone so thoroughly that they know you better than yourself and you know them the same that you barely need to speak but you do for the joy of the other's company is a rare gift to be given, especially so young.

Because they never lied! It's just, people assume romantic intent or attraction when Robin and Steve don't! They're the loves of each other's lives but they are not romantically in love and that's hard for people to understand. Especially a high profile couple who was the Romantic Ideal for three generations. And so when they say they were never involved like that, it's hard for some to believe because those two love each other so openly and intensely and for that love to be something other than romantic doesn't compute.

But on the other hand, they had already been queer icons. Steve 100% played in a heavily queercoded war film in the fifties and Robin had a Way of shooting women and they'd been vocal "allies" since the sixties. They'd nearly come out in the eighties but by then it wasn't just a decision they could make. It involved their partners and their children and grandchildren, so they waited to do so. But they were activists early for queer folk and did their best to fight the good fight (and also 1000% cussed Regan out. As he so deserved)

okay, but thinking about all of the potential fallout for roman by kendall exposing that their dad abused him and, like. there's obviously the potential of it forever labelling roman as 'the victim' and emasculating him in an industry setting where you're only ever allowed to be powerful if you want to succeed. and there's also the whole, y'know, thing with how roman's trauma will be outed without his permission and when he’s in no way ready to deal with that in private let alone public.

but there's also how people will probably not believe it, too? because that is also the reaction when abuse is exposed? like, there's literally pap photos of logan pantomiming hitting roman and the two of them laughing about it and hugging out there. you just know people would look at those pics and point to them and go: "see! obviously logan never abused him because nobody who was abused would ever do that and act that way and make a joke of it!" and that’s not even getting into how there’d absolutely be people joking about it. and saying he deserved it. like, that’s even roman’s own response! also, like, if the show does do anything with this, then that probably is the most realistic outcome? not only because it unfortunately is anyway but because they’ve already done that. with the cruise victims. nothing ever came of that abuse scandal being exposed, none of the perpetrators were ever held accountable for their actions, they all got away with it, and the only people who ended up hurt in the end were the victims.

I mean… if you’ve been following closer, they have been clearly very hard on larries for a while. Take Harry for example. This past summer he made his life purpose to destroy all things larries used as… something lol blue bandana? Here, X*nder have it. Sweet creature? It’s for Gemma and he said it in front of 90K people which was very humiliating imo. Umbro shirt? Louis has been a dickhead on twitter since he was in the band. Yesterday he was even more of a dickhead than he used to. If he wants to be the third Gallagher brother he should be asking them first. He was unnecessarily rude with everyone and with the chicken parmesan thing he showed to me he doesn’t even read the tweets or whatever issue with reading comprehension he has going on.

The good thing about social media instead of live or interviews is that you can take your time to write down some articulated response and that you happen to choose what you reply to.

He announced he was going to do this thing 24 hours prior, went online and treated everyone with sufficiency. Totally unprovoked. Can you see how prepared this was? That makes it even worse because he is acting like this on purpose and everyone knows it. Like what’s the point of doing that speech on stage everyone gets so emotional for if you go online and bicker with your fans? They’re not taken for granted when they buy your tickets, but when they tweet constantly about you and keep you relevant on social they’re? This tells a lot to me.

The problem is he wants to deny what he created (he mentioned the recipe even for walls promo) but he puts a target on larries’ back as always, because his fans can be unreasonably nasty and the pop world hates larries already they don’t waste a minute to start alienating them, insult them and bully them out of the safe space they have created for themselves. It’s the marketing they have chosen, their propaganda.

It’s weird when accounts with huge following interact with this part of fandom, because they never do it to “protect” them. We’re talking about a loud, mostly queer and young side of his fandom… I wonder what would happen if larries finally decided to turn their backs at them (which I encourage to do). Yes, there still might be a target on them but at least it wouldn’t be like that. I’m pretty out of the fandom, barely talk about them but I still follow some blogs so I know a few things. I’ve realised I’m not comfortable anymore here. I still want to write a few stories because it’s fun and I like the exercise but that’s going to be it.

You made a good point of how this staged photoshoot will lead to increased exposure and ticket sales esp ahead of the US tour, because correct me if I’m wrong, but I don’t think all their US dates are sold out? They’re not as popular in the states and it’s been a couple months since I checked but I only saw a handful of shows that showed sold out. All this just reminds us of a curated version we have of him. Someone who likes privacy and wants to be lowkey doesn’t date attention seekers consistently and calls the paps on themselves. I think people generally get very caught up in the whole "alex is a romantic little prince too busy with his mind on clever lines he's innocent and private and not like other celebs and his privacy has been violated" narrative and tend to forget how much of a business this whole thing is.

The primary purpose of any business, be that show business or not, is to make money. The band is an asset that needs to generate revenue. American market has huge potential for that, alas, as the anon above correctly pointed out, very few of the US shows are sold out at this point, just a month ahead of the tour and the sales need to be boosted. The best strategy would definitely be to hype it up a little. American audience seems to be really into the whole straight dominant greaser bad boy persona (where do you think all those endless alex/your name fics with that shitty 50 shades of grey vibes come from?) and the target audience must be catered for. Both parties benefit: Alex gets the publicity of a cool rockstar kind of tired of his fame with a beautiful gf by his side on an expensive posh Italian resort. The pictures will now be all over insta/twitter/tiktok igniting interest in new fans and rekindling the old ones. The girls will fantasise about taking Louise's place in his arms (oh to be a girlfriend of this rich handsome millionaire musician who is also intelligent and talented and famous and who will fuck you like a whore then treat you like a princess!) and the boys will be jealous of him and his beautiful French girlfriend, wanting to be like him (oh to be this rich handsome millionaire and get all the girls!). Some more tickets will be sold, some more records, some more merch, and a couple of tens (or hundreds) of thousands of dollars will be made. Louise on the other hand, will get more followers and will have more ads, which will also lead to more revenue for her and hence whoever is managing her. Not bad, no?

Alex is usually perceived as a poet with his head in the clouds, an ethereal creature, a poetic and storytelling genius, vulnerable, autistic woodland creature, too exquisite for earthly problems, fragile and defenseless. He is, however, in no way disconnected from reality or too naive not to know how the business works - after all, he's been in it for almost twenty years. And I am supposed to believe his privacy has been violated when it has hardly been violated for the 5 years he was hiding from everyone and no paparazzi whatsoever gave a fuck about him? Oh give me a break. His net worth is estimated to be millions of dollars, same as the band. He is one of the richest rock stars of the generation. I am not saying it is a bad thing - well deserved, he is a genius after all, - but money, even for geniuses, has to be earned. Their music is a product that needs to be sold, and their public image is one of the means to increase those sales.

I do not think that Alex or Louise called the paps themselves last minute - I am pretty sure the whole thing has been set up by the management in advance, with Alex's explicit consent. Again, it is just a marketing strategy which the sales and marketing department decided to go with in order to maximise the revenue. Why would Alex refuse? And please spare me the argument of 'he doesn't need any more money'. Maybe he doesn't (although i am not sure), but the band and the whole machine working for them definitely does as it employs hundreds of people who need to get their paychecks from this whole thing. Mr. Schwarz is staying strong for them, remember?

Once this is all over, the tour is over, the contracts are done and he disappears without a trace, we'll remember this and count how many times paps will ever try to take pictures of him or his gf (zero, mark my words).

Going Back

Summary: Dieter finds himself in his Agent's office after a successful six month long rehab, when he gets a phone call that puts things into perspective. He goes back home to say goodbye... and meets you.

A/N: Never really wrote for Bravo except for the Calls, but wrote this in like 2 hours last sunday. Hope you like it

Los Angeles, California 

He did not remember going back into the office of his manager after he ended the phone call with his brother. There were several people whose names he couldn’t even remember in the room who were talking about him, as if he wasn’t even in the room. Or interested. 

Then again for the last years he probably wasn’t very interested. 

Where these meetings always this boring? No wonder he was on drugs most of the time. 

They were talking about him, as if he wasn’t a person but a…. Thing they have to fix. Something to keep their pockets filled.

Okay… Honestly, he did some really really fucked up stuff in the past. The girls, the drugs, the….. 72 hour marriage to a girl named Candy he met in Las Vegas. 

But the overdose while shooting Cliff Beasts was a… very unpleasant but loud wake up call. He had never thought about his life as… as something so precious. And he had lived his life. He had a job he loved and people who loved him.

At least he thought they did. 

“Dieter are you listening?” Dieter pushed his sunglasses up on his nose, raising his head to look at John, his manager of nine years. He was a shark. He and his publicist had pulled Dieter out of so many fucked up shit the last years. Made him a big star who didn’t have to live from paycheck to paycheck while playing in shitty theatre pieces and made him famous. 

He was the Dieter Bravo, almost EGOT (the Emmy was still missing), face of Ray Ban (at least until earlier this year).

“What?” Dieter snapped, wanting nothing more than to call up his old dealer to get… something. 

“We’re sending you to another rehab. We know you’re clean… But the public… We need you to work with us, so we can go back to finding you some new roles. To build you back up.”

Dieter breathed in deeply as a woman started talking he had never met before. Or… he did not remember ever seeing before. The last few years were a little foggy. 

And… he was thankful for the work these people did for him. But… this, his career, these people…. They were not important. 

Nothing was important. 

The last thing he felt like doing was to go to another rehab just to have some paps conveniently snapping some pics of him towards the end with a woman his manager would hire that he would end up fake dating just to… get him back out there. 

“Simon will pick you up in the morning,” John said. 

“No,” was all Dieter said and the room fell silent almost immediately. 

“Dieter, we talked about this. Your last fall out was… too much. We need to…”

“We don’t need to do anything. I need to do what you tell me, so I can keep being your golden goose to pay your mortgages.”

“Dieter…”, John said sternly. 

“No. If I’m not mistaken your contract as my manager runs out at the end of next month, am I right?”

Dieter saw John’s jaw work before he nodded. 

“Good. Then consider this the last time we see each other,” Dieter got up from the uncomfortable chair he was sitting in. 

“You’re all fired,” he said, before he grabbed his phone and left the room. 

Santa Teresa, New Mexico

You were sitting in your usual place on the old armchair next to Carla. 

It was a good day today and you fought against the thought that this could be her last. It had been hard to make the phone call yesterday after the doctor had been here. The medication wasn’t helping her anymore so it would only be days before…

Carla Ramos did deserve better. 

She was the funniest woman you had ever had the pleasure of caring for. Since the day you moved into her house almost seven years ago you had felt like part of the family. 

Her son, the famous one who you only met once, was the one who paid for you but it was Ramon, his other brother who you were in contact with. 

Yes, the woman named one of her sons Ramon Ramos and when you first learned this information you had giggled like a schoolgirl while said son only rolled his eyes, but couldn’t stop the smile on his lips. 

Carla had been diagnosed with a rare form of kidney cancer and you had been with her through all of it. Every single doctor visit. Every chemo appointment. You had been with her every single day and last night you had allowed yourself to cry after the learning the news that she only had days left. 

When Carla learned the news she had only smiled softly and turned her head towards you, telling you that she now has to hurry up finding you a husband. 

You had held back the tears until you were in the security of your own room, already grieving the woman sleeping just down the hall who had become like a mother to you. 

She was currently sleeping and you were reading in your book when there was a knock on the door. You frowned, not expecting any visitors until the next day when Ramon and his family were supposed to come. 

Closing your book you took a look at Carla before you tiptoed out of the room and towards the door where you could already see a man standing. You narrowed your eyes, trying to make out who it was when he turned and you caught a look on his face. 

You took a deep breath.

You hadn’t expected him to come. His brother must have called him. 

Of course you knew who Dieter Bravo was. You had to have been living under a rock to not know him. You had read your fair share of gossip about him in the last years, but it was the awe with which his mother talked about him that made you feel like you knew him. 

She was his biggest fan. 

Which was one of the big reasons you grew to despite him in the last years. He had visited once since her diagnosis. Yes, he paid for everything, including you, but…. What kind of person does not take care or visit of his sick mother?

You glanced over to the old piano that had never been played since you got here, catching sight of his Oscar he had brought home the one time he had visited. 

He had wanted his mother to have it.

You took another deep breath, knowing that this was not the time to let your anger towards his behaviour get the best of you, before you opened the door.

Dieter had forgotten just how many things there were that he had paid other people to do for him. 

Packing his suitcase.

Booking a private jet and then deciding against it and buying a commercial flight ticket.

Renting a car at the airport.

Driving a car by himself.

Yet once he sat in the driver's seat of his rented Toyota it was like no time had passed since he packed his bags and went to chase his dream of becoming an actor. He made his way through his hometown until he parked his car in front of the flower places he had always bought his mama’s favourite flowers. Sun flowers. 

Dieter felt like shit.

Not because of how he behaved in the public eye but… how he treated his family in the past. His family who always put up with him no matter what he did. 

The therapist at his last rehab, the one he really committed to and got clean (16 weeks and counting) had talked with him about his family. And… thinking back he could admit to himself that shit had started to get really fucking complicated for him drugwise when he had learned of his mothers cancer diagnosis. 

Dieter was a mama’s boy. His father left the family when he and his brother were still in kindergarten and his mother became his biggest hero.

Even more so when he was grown up and noticed just how much she had worked to provide for him and his brother. 

So the first thing he did from his first big paycheck was buy her a house and get her everything she ever dreamed of.

But all the money and fame in the world meant nothing, when his mother was dying. 

It had been a hard reality check, the phone call from Ramon only yesterday. So many things had changed since yesterday. Of course Dieter knew that his mother was sick. He saw the bills and signed the paycheck for the live-in nurse he had hired. 

But… he had always pushed it far away in his mind. The drugs had been a great distraction from it. And the women. And men. 

He couldn’t cope with the thought of living in a world where his mother wasn’t a phone call away, so when Ramon called and told him that it was time to say goodbye, Dieter had gotten the reality check he had needed. 

Now here he was, a big arrangement of sunflowers in his arms, standing in front of the house he had bought for his mother. 

Since yesterday he had fired his manager and publicist and hired a lawyer (not the one from his divorce) to handle all of his affairs. Including selling his house in the Hollywood Hills.

He never wanted to go back. He didn’t even know if he wanted to work as an actor anymore. He just wanted to… live. And be Dario Ramos again. 

The door opened after he knocked and he put his sunglasses up on top of his head looking at you. 

“Mr. Bravo?” you asked.

“Dieter,” he tried to smile, completely caught off guard. He knew that he had hired you. He remembered that he met you once, a very foggy memory much like everything in the last years. How could he have not noticed how… young and beautiful you were?

You were wearing leggings and a too big shirt with a faded Star Wars print on it.

“Would you like to come in?” you asked and he nodded. You stepped to the side to let him in and he walked into the house, feeling like a complete stranger, yet noticing how much had changed since the last time he had visited. 

He looked… Different than in the last pictures Carla had shown you. 

Healthier. 

“Uhm….” he turned around, picking a single sunflower and handing it to you. You tilted your head before you took it, your fingers brushing over his. 

“This is for you. I… As a thank you. Which is…. Ridiculous thinking back now. I…” he took a deep breath.

You were touched that he even remembered you. 

“Your mother is asleep. She is having a good day. She will be thrilled you’re here,” you said as you turned away from him to walk towards the kitchen. You heard him follow you. Laying the sunflower down on the counter you reached over the sink to get two vases. A small one for the single one and a bigger one for the other flowers. You groaned, getting on your tiptoes when you couldn’t reach them. 

“Let me…” you felt his hand on your shoulder and you looked up at him as you took a step to the side and let him pull two vases from the cabinet. 

“Thank you,” you said quietly, confused by him. So confused.

You were expecting the cocky drug addict Oscar winner Dieter Bravo, not… this version of him. 

He nodded once at you before he walked back and you began to fill the vases with water.  You smiled to yourself when you put the single flower for you into the small vase and tried to remember the last time someone had gotten you flowers. 

“I’m sorry you know?” he said.

“I… did a lot of fucked up stuff these last years but not being here? Fucking pathetic…”

You turned around. 

“You don’t have to explain anything to me. You’re…”

“You were here. Every day. While I was getting shitfaced and fucking myself through half of the country.”

You pressed your lips into a hard line to keep yourself from reacting. 

“I don’t even know why I’m telling you all of this…” he shook his head looking down at his hands.

“Dieter…” you said.

“Don’t call me that,” he sighed and your eyes softened.

“Dario,” you said and he looked up at you. 

“Would you like some of your mothers homemade iced tea?”

You didn’t mean to listen in, but you had heard Clara laugh and you stopped on your way back to your room as you listened to Dieter… Dario telling her about the time he had almost peed himself on set. 

“You’re a good man, Dario,” you heard Clara say. He sighed.

“I should have been here.”

“You’re here now. You can’t change what happened in the past. Just… promise me to think about it…”

“Mom, no…” 

You made yourself walk back to your room, not wanting to listen in in the first place. 

Clara had been over the moon when she saw her son and you had kept yourself busy to give them both time together. 

It gave you time to think.

Of course the last few years had given you time to form an opinion about your employer. But actually spending some time with him made you rethink some of your foreformed opinions.

There was the picture inside of your mind you had formed. Of the playboy cocky asshole who could have everyone and everything he wanted with a snap of his fingers. Who didn’t care about anyone but himself and where to get his next fix.

You grew to despise this picture of him.

But then there was this other side. The man who facetimes his mother every sunday to have breakfast with her in bed. 

You sighed to yourself, sitting in your window seat as you sipped on your glass of wine. 

It was always easier to hate someone than to try to understand them. It didn’t give them the opportunity to explain themselves.

Not that he had anything to explain to you. 

You were just the help. The woman who took care of his sick mother. 

You didn’t know how long you sat there looking at the stars when you heard the soft tunes of a piano down the hall. You set your wine glass down and quietly walked out, checking in on Clara who was soundly sleeping on your way before you walked into the living room.

His sponsor did not pick up the phone. 

Dieter wanted nothing more than to get some pills that made him forget just how much of a fucking failure he was. Instead he took a shower and sat down at the old piano that his mother still owned. 

He had learned to play on this very piano when he was little. The tunes came to him like an old friend as he closed his eyes and let his fingers fly over the keys. When he opened his eyes he looked straight at the Academy Award with his name on that was displayed next to his Grammy and Tony. 

What did all these awards mean anyway?

He closed his eyes, continuing to play to stop the voice inside his head that wanted him to get out of here and get some coke… or pills… or something to make all these feelings inside of him go away. 

He ended the song and just sat there in the darkness, his eyes closed. 

“That was beautiful,” he heard a whisper and his eyes snapped open to find you standing in the doorway. 

“I haven’t played in years,” he shrugged.

“Maybe you should. You looked peaceful while you played.”

He gave you a small smile, one that reached his eyes. 

“I put clean sheets on in the guest bedroom next to mine. Ramon and his wife always stay in the room next to your mother’s. I hope that’s okay.”

“Thank you,” he said and you gave him a small smile.

“You know what would make you play the piano even better?” you asked him and he shook his head.

“If you had some clothes on,” you winked at him and he looked down at his body, only then noticing that he was completely naked. 

He was about to answer you when he looked up but you were already gone. 

He sighed with a little chuckle, smiling to himself before he made his way to his assigned bedroom and fell asleep the moment his head hit the soft pillow.

Clara died in the early evening on the next day. 

She fell asleep peacefully, surrounded by all her loved ones. 

You gave the family some time, slipping out of the room, before you called the doctor to let him know. He assured you he would make the calls needed and you gave him a watery thank you before you ended the call and walked out to the patio. The sun was setting behind the hill and with it you let the tears fall. You hugged yourself as you tried to keep your sobs quiet. 

The door opened behind you and you didn’t turn around, trying to calm your breath as you looked over the wide countryside in front of you. 

“All my life I wanted to get away from here,” Dieter began and you closed your eyes. 

“When I was a teenager I hated living here. But my mom…. She loves this place. Until now I didn’t understand why, but I think I do now,” he continued and you sucked your bottom lip in to keep yourself from falling apart. 

“I’m really really thankful for you being here while I wasn’t. You were… She loved you like her daughter.”

You sobbed, shaking your head. 

Slowly, arms wrapped around your shoulders and you let your head fall down, your forehead falling against his chest. You opened your arms to hug him back, as Dieter’s chin rested on your head. 

Your finger grasped at the soft fabric of his shirt as he held you while you cried. 

One of his hands ran soothing circles on your back and you tried to get even closer to him, breathing him in. 

“I should be the one holding you right now,” you mumbled after a while. 

“It’s okay. We both just lost someone we loved.”

“I’m so sorry D…” you said, pulling your cheek against his chest. You felt him kiss your hair and you released a shuddering breath. 

You didn’t know how long you stood there holding each other, but when he let go as the doctor came, you felt a little lighter.

It was the day after the funeral that you found yourself sitting in the living room of Clara’s house. Dieter was sitting on the sofa next to you, his brother and wife across from you as you looked at Mr. Miller, the family lawyer who was about to read the last will of one Clara Ramos. 

You didn’t know why you were here. This was a family affair. Then again… you had nowhere to go. 

When you heard your name you looked up. 

“You, my best friend, the daughter I never had, to you I will leave this house. This house that you made so much brighter in these last years with your heart, your humour and smile. I know you will disagree with this decision, but sweetheart this is my thank you to you. Make this place a home for you and your future family. And if I die before we find you a husband, please…” the lawyer stuttered and you swore you could see him blush “at least find a man to rock your world. God knows you did not get any action while you stayed here with me.”

You shook your head to yourself with a smile, feeling overwhelmed. You felt Dieter take your hand, squeezing it once before he wanted to let go, but you didn’t let him. 

“So… when are you kicking me out?” he asked later that evening. You were both sitting on the porch, you with a beer and he with some iced tea. His brother and wife had left earlier, leaving you and Dieter alone at the house. Your house. 

“I still can’t believe that she would just give me this house. It should have…”

“Stop. She loved you. She wanted you to have it and you know better than to argue with her. Even now,” he smiled as he looked up towards the sky, cheering his glass towards it. 

“But still…”

You sat there in silence for some time. 

“You can stay as long as you want Dieter,” you said after a while and he looked at you from his side. 

“Are you sure? People say I can be very fucking annoying.”

You smiled. 

“I think these people only know Dieter Bravo. I know Dario Ramos. He’s… He’s pretty okay.”

He huffed a laugh.

“Pretty okay?”

“I don’t know him very well,” you teased. 

“Would you like to?”

“What?”

“Get to know him?”

You frowned. 

“Dieter can be a real asshole but… I think I would like you to meet me. The real me. If you… If you want to,” he added. He was nervous you could tell.

You shuffled closer to him and he looked at you with those warm brown eyes that held so many secrets. 

“I would like that,” you whispered and smiled up at him. He smiled back, his arm coming around your back to pull you against his side as you lay your head against his shoulder. 

Five years later

“Mr. Bravo! So good to see you back on the red carpet. You look great. You are nominated for three Academy Awards tonight. Congratulations on the success of “Going back”. What inspired you to write this story?”

Dieter smiled at the camera, before he looked down at the silver ring on his left ring finger. He always wore rings, no one thought much of it. But this one was special. You had put it on his finger. 

“Life,” he said, thinking of you waiting for him back home. How you were watching him, probably laying in bed because your pregnant belly was killing your back. You couldn’t travel anymore and he didn’t want to come either tonight but you insisted.

No award would ever compare to spending time with you.

that’s cause u all only focus on their private life while with niall fans don’t care :) he got papped for WEEKS every day with his girlfriend, all his interviews there’s one or two questions about her but again fans don’t make a fuzzy about anything. zayn first single had gigi on his fucking mv and questions about it and news about him cheating on perry with her. his last album the one that made all the promo WAS GIGI! she gave interviews about it, she made a release party for him, SHE posted tiktok and reels of his songs but no one cares cause fans are not stuck on their personal life while with harry and louis they are :)

first of all. need i remind you that the reason fans don't care about niall's private life is because he makes sure it's private he shuts people down when they're talking shit about him and his girlfriend and he makes sure that the promo focus is on his music. honestly given how most of the gp literally only remembers either slow hands or this town (rip hbw you deserved more), to be able to get heaven going the way he is, is pretty incredible and all because he made use of his platform on his socials and he got his industry friends doing quirky little bits for it. as for zayn, like it or not, he still is one of the most popular artists and despite harry becoming a trendy household name, zayn still holds a significant amount of popularity control. and while the media made it all about his personal relationships be it with perrie, gigi or 1d, HE never made it about that. yes gigi did a lot during nobody is listening promo, but did zayn ever publicly make it about that? no. my mans just slept for 8 hours on ig live made us watch and then ate pizza while listening to his album.

the reason why niall and zayn's private lives go unnoticed by fans is because they don't put it in your face the way harry/louis' public lives tend to be. tell me why louis went on a world tour last year with double the venues than originally planned, released an album, launched a festival, announced a documentary, announced a second tour and still what's getting picked up is that he was spotted with a blonde? tell me why harry went on a world tour, did three movies, released an album, won a shit ton of accolades, is still on tour and yet holivia became the big debacle that it did? yeah because instead of focusing on their music, their actual career, their teams love to cater to gossip and rumours and their public personas

it seems like you and anon are still yet to figure out that tae has dug this hold for himself. he's not dating jungkook, he's dating jennie, and he messed up when he cared too much about ppl knowing that he's dating her by throwing her under the bus (when he pretended that the insta follow was accidental—which it was, but not bc she showed up in his recommendations, he was lurking on her account shortly after opening his own—and had armys ganging up on her in the comments) and he tried deflecting the fandom by mentioning jk a lot since he knows "armys would like that" (his own words but about him doing fan service with seokjin).

taehyung monitors army and he knows how popular taekook is in the fandom, and since it won't take much to distract tkkrs/army he started name dropping jungkook often when the taennie rumors were at their peak. he REALLY didn't want ppl to know he's been sleeping with the enemy. but alas.

also idk who decided on that paris date because it did look like a pr stunt but the relationship itself is not fake. imo i think it was either jennie who hired the pap bc she wants ppl to know she's dating V of BTS (who could blame her) or she managed to convince tae to soft launch their relationship but he was hesitant and backtracked after he saw the backlash. relationships are not perfect and no offense but jennie seems like a selfish person and a show-off and i hate that tae likes her but this is none of my business anyway. they've some really similar characteristics though (not necessarily bad things just stuff that i've observed over time after the rumors began) so it makes sense that they would date. i really hope they don't last though cause tae deserves someone with a better personality, someone nicer.

now that tae knows what kind of hole he had dug for himself, and he knows that name-dropping jungkook had blinks, kpoppies, and even jkkrs jumping him and calling him a coward he had to stop. he can still hang out with jungkook (and does!) since it doesn't translate badly to most people (except for insecure shippers) because taekook are friends. them hanging out or spending time together will never be the proof tkkrs want it to be, because there's nothing weird or out of the ordinary about their hang outs, especially when they've been consistently hanging within a friend group aka the wooga squad.

yeah yeah, tkkrs might be right about "the woogas adopted jk" thing or whatever, but who cares? it still means nothing romantic-wise for taekook. even all the name-dropping tae did had no romantic undertones to it but that pissed people off because jk was always singled out and constantly mentioned out of the blue on two minute lives for no clear reason AND it wasn't mutual on jk's end. it's the same situation with jk getting hated on by pjms because he keeps mentioning jimin when jimin seemingly doesn't care. but ofc jimin cares about jk, just like jk cares about tae, but the one-sided-ness of it all is causing issues between their groups of solos and shippers because "taehyung is obsessed with jungkook" but "jungkook is obsessed with jimin" and all the bs their solos spew.

taehyung's case is complicated because he now has blinks watching him and one wrong move from him that could potentially set jennie up will get him dragged to hell by her fans, and he doesn't want that especially now that he's promoting his album.

sometimes i feel like a lot of yall are really dense, and have no intuition at all. because what tae's has been up to this year is obvious as hell, he's actually pretty calculated and it showed especially this year and this is why all the jk mentions left a bad taste in my mouth midst the taennie fiasco, but only tkkrs and some armys (mainly army twitter) were in denial about it because they hate blackpink and their fans. but what we want isn't always what goes on in those celebrities lives and yall need to understand that they KNOW their audience and they know how to control it when things get out of control, and tae is no exception. he tried controlling his audience with the way he thought will work but it backfired on him because not all of his audience are gullible tkkrs, and now he's not trying anymore because it's risky when he's promoting (at least for now).

and i hate that people consider anyone who acknowledges that tae did wrong as an anti. we're not fucking antis for acknowledging things when our faves fuck up. they're humans, they make mistakes without thinking sometimes, taehyung fucked up when he ignored all the rumors about him and jennie and even actively tried to divert attention from it thinking that ALL who cared about the rumors were tkkrs who'll eat up his few jk mentions and move on with their lives. but there were armys, blinks, and kpop stans who didn't fall for this shit bc they don't care about some jk mentions, we noticed his pattern of singling out jk and as non-tkkrs it all clicked into place quick and the conclusion wasn't pretty. this is why i hope after his album promo ends he doesn't mess things up again because it will really cause issues.

Tae singling out Jk isn't exactly new. A lot of people are looking at this like you are, like it was some masterplan Tae formed to hide his relationshi with Jennie. When actually, Tae and Jk just did what they always do. They just see each other a lot, and that shows. Whether it is through mentions in lives, through meeting, through being physically close in official footage... Jk and Tae just have a special bond. What has been new though, is that we are in a different era. Before chapter2, Tae and Jk's 'singling each other out' was obscured by the other members and by them also interacting wih other members a lot. Now though, both Tae and Jk have hung out with each other obviously more than they have with the other members (especcialy during the first part of the year. So for them mentioning each other like they normally would wasn't on purpose, it just was normal. If they'd hung out with Jin, or Jimin, or Hobi just as much, they would have mentioned them as well. You can also see this in with Jimin who kept seeing Hobi and Yoongi most, those were the members mentioned by him most. It's not something they came up with, it's just what they do. Jk isn't obsessed with Jimin. Although they obviously care about each other a lot, the interactions that are magnified atm (like Jk's live dedicated to Jimin, the recent live with Jk in bed) are all more or less sett of by something. It's just Jk spotting something about Jimin and going along with it in the moment. This is also how they have always been. It's banter and friendship.

Mentioning Jk to divert attention from Jennie is also very non-effevtive and management would have known that and advised him otherwise. It only means much to Tkkrs, and we are very much not the whole of army and Blinks. So only if Tae would've wanted just Tkkrs to not know about him and Jennie that might've been a thing, but that just doesn't make sense in any way. If they wanted to keep Tae and Jennie a secret they wouldn't have walked around Paris like that (which yes was obvious pr). Tae posted Jk on his insta right before that, so whas that also still him trying to divert attention right before soft landing his relationship? Please, they have a whole team behind them who advises them about how to deal with situations like this. No company would let things run wild the way they have unless that was the intention. If they were actually together, there would have been a confirmation straight after Paris to calm things down.

I think the things that are considered 'members doing something wrong' are rarely actually members doing something wrong. Things get magnified to an unreasonable extent. Members mentioning each other is never 'doing something wrong' if you think that in any capacity you don't fully realize the respect and love members have for each other. I see people (tkkrs) say that Jimin is showing that pic of him and Jk together is him not asking for consent from Jk... what flip? Those men (all members) know exactly what they can and cannot do regarding the others.

I don’t think you need to worry about being scared about what came out of that relationship replaying. I think that was a unique experience all around.

Ale knew how to keep fans engaged with her even when she was doing the minimal, and that was something she used to her advantage and I think we all know that looking back. She knew just what to post or say or do to always keep fans emotionally invested and asking more questions. It was one of the few things she actually did very well, and she’s somehow still doing it to this day. Even over six months since they split, fans still engage and still try to see what she’s saying. When it came to the use of social media to narrate what she wanted, she was able to do it. It’s what fueled the anxiety and the drama. Especially when at the time there had been the new influx of younger fans who came in through TFATWS.

Doesn’t matter if you thought it was only fake or real or both, we can all agree that she knew close fans were watching and she spent that whole relationship painting her story that she wanted fans to see in the relationship. I do think she wanted it to look more* serious than it actually was, and at one point we believed it for a bit. Even if maybe at times it wasn’t purposeful but was a girl who loved narrating every fucking thing. Looking back, if she had been a more quiet girlfriend who respected his privacy and only posted twice within that year and a half, and had not posted anything interesting at all and those few Pap walks still stayed in tact, and if she hadn’t had that personality of keeping fans enticed, I don’t think fans would’ve thought it was as serious or dramatic as it was. Do you?

It’s because she painted a story and fans milked off of it and they became very emotionally involved because she knew what she was doing using her Instagram. Baiting, even if it could’ve been at times indirectly or fans overthinking, she fueled that mentality. She used Instagram. What do I mean by saying this in reference to future girlfriends? Well, seb has been going off the last few months in interviews when asked relationship questions and clearly he wants to go a different way next time, he says he’s always leaving relationships and trying to find something different than what he was in, with that comes involuntary and subconscious pick choosing. Almost micromanaging. He said many other things too. I don’t think at all that his next girlfriend will be like Ale was. Not to that level of following him everywhere and posting everything and keeping drama elevated. Even if the next girl came somewhat close, I don’t think it will be like she was. That was just a whole entire thing on its own.

There will always be drama in fandoms when it comes to gf’s and all that, so we can continue to expect that every time, but to that level? I highly doubt it. He might try to look for something completely opposite even, who knows. Who knows if he’s even ready to date again when now his Carreer is finally taking off. He always put his Carreer first and I don’t think he minds that. I think he’ll be going through more different relationships for a while, years. When it comes to settling down, I even wonder if he will. He himself always says he’s settled in his ways and after every relationship he leaves he tries to find something different. At a certain point in time, a man won’t budge anymore from norms, and I think he’s at that point right now. He has habits and primaries in his life that he won’t change. He’ll find someone who will conform to him. Add in that he’s always looking for something different each time and the slight pickiness because of past experiences and stubborn choosing, you got yourself a boy running in circles and not settling down. If he does, I think will be in a very long time, unless some miracle happens. But I also think he doesn’t mind that. He just doesn’t like being alone sometimes, but I don’t think a wife is on his front mind. Maybe long term partner. But again also everything else I said before lol

Harry is so over exposed. It comes off as money hungry and fame hungry. It’s giving kardashian. Esp with Pleasing which he does almost nothing to promote, like I’ve never seen another celeb do less with one of their products. Honestly at this point him and O deserve each other.

I knew harry wouldn’t be a good actor cuz he couldn’t fake being happy with Olivia or chemistry with her on the pap walks.

He has no real personality anymore. He pretends to be one thing in interviews, one thing on stage, and one thing in pap pictures. The reason his fandom is toxic is because of the way he and his team run his image with no real insight into who he is and constant contradictions.

This new album also sucks. It screams commercial ear worm. Type songs like watermelon sugar. I think he’s losing his die hards for more fickle fans and it shows with the DWD box office numbers. If he would have just been fun friendly goofy harry that answered questions thoughtfully and wasn’t involved in all this manufactured drama the movie would have made a lot more money.

The answers he gave in Venice and how he acted was horrible. If this is his longterm girlfriends big night and he can’t even show up in a supportive way that’s shitty but it’s also his job and his boss. Why would any serious actor or director want him in a film again? He didn’t even turn out the numbers he was projected to and makes all of this into a circus.

Also the fact that they just continued love on tour for the new album and did these weird residencies where it’s the exact same show every night? So bizarre. Even the clips of him be “cute with fans about their signs” are the same five things over and over again.

He needs to hide away for a bit but everyone around him gives him horrible advice and are addicted to his fame. This is not how you create longevity.

Ok there’s so much here I’ll try answer everything.

I agree with the overexposure and I think him and his team can’t really know how to handle it because it’s always been all positive about him negative press needs to be controlled or it gets bigger and bigger. I wouldn’t compare him to the kardashian, they know what they do and how it has to be done. Harry and his team don’t, Olivia even less because she’s desperate and never had this kind of attention she acts hungry to the point anything is good as long as her name is out there and she can be pictured with him. On the other hand harry seems (or is) a total hypocrite because that’s not what he always professed.

About his acting skills I’ve heard a second big report about him being banned or kept distant from Hollywood because of his bad acting. Interesting.

The personality aspect I agree if there’s anything there he for sure never show it and this is cause of many problems, even his complains about invasion of privacy and so on it all depend from the fact he’s never sat any boundaries to the point everyone thinks they know him and everything about him.

Personally this last album is not my favourite (I never even listened to it entirely tbh) and the never ending tour is very forced at this point he seems to be the first not interested in doing it, it’s like pushing things as much as possible until never again.

About Venice don’t even make me start because what was that???? What was he thinking?? That was so pathetic, you’re either on it or you’re not but pretending to be pissed off in hope of big selling is so pathetic like everything else around them!

JKs moves have been more calculated lately.

I could see SNL party being a connection/networking thing whether he was invited or it was set up for him (his music management has mentioned in print double rostering host/musical guest before would be an ultimate goal/dream) the sightings and pics have slowly developed to being real paps not lucky sightings (ie your mention about the blue coat pics are definitely higher quality pap pics), and this goodie today.

Not minimizing what they're doing...PR can be done with real relationships and IS all the time...get it girl if you are (cause it looks like you are getting some of that juicy booty and they look like they're having fun if they are)...but it's undeniable that there's work going on with his career behind the scenes and intentional choices are being made around him. Also good for him because he deserves it. No damn shame.

That last Fargo article literally a week ago about him and Juno being the ones to actually watch, not John Hamm was telling and this could be a big jumping point for him... then having loads of films stacked up with those bigger names??? He just was only half into the walk. Some of the anons we had think that he was very cuddly, we watched it a couple of times, and he’s definitely into the conversation, but he doesn’t seem super cuddly. And when she touches his ass, he just is kind of stiff. He doesn’t even move his hand from his pocket. they had passed the paparazzi when she did touch his ass. She knew they were behind them. So I think that you’re on something with it being PR I think it could likely just be on her side. Keep her name out there that she’s moved on just like her ex.
