So I recently watched the entirety of Lolirock

And it was... Okayish

The story itself wasn't bad, but a lot of it feels very incomplete.

So let's break down a few points:

Story:

The story itself wasn't too bad. I liked a lot of the ideas. But since this is directed to a younger audience, a lot of story plot was very predictable sadly enough.

And it didn't bother me that much that Iris was in the centerstage most of the time. Unlike later season Bloom, the creators didn't make things that aren't related to Iris about Iris. There were a few moments yes, but I never thought "wait, why is it about Iris, it's not about her!" Unlike (sadly) with Bloom in Winx where she gets the Spotlight for no reason

Princesses:

I do really like the transformation and animations for the princesses. Although I do feel odd about Lyna and Carrisa having different animations and songs. They look good, but since they don't have a similar transformation like Iris, Thalia and Auriana, I feel like it just says that they aren't part of the group. Which is kinda true since they are absent for 75% of the time in season 2. (Fr, where are these two the entire time?)

And I get Iris is the main character and all, but the creators make Talia and Auriana look so useless and weak for most of the time. And then Talia is able to beat their asses on her own, yet struggled to do so five minutes before.

Also Talia is the best, defo my fave from all of them.

Magic and Ephidia:

Similar to the story: it felt incomplete. Like things aren't being explained:

What's Ephidia? Is it a continent, is it the capital city? Who created it, what's so special about it?

What are the oracle gems exactly? Are they amplifiers or a key, WHAT ARE THEY? and why do they only show up in front of Iris? Is it cus she's the crown princess or why? Who knows: things aren't getting explained.

And how does the magic work? Is it just crystals? Can they use elemental powers as well? We see them use levitation and time spells as well soooooooooo?

And what about Dark magic? Do you have to be born from it, is it an emotion you redirect, how does if work?

And can we talk about Iris's different transformations? They look epic af but.... How? Can only she do it? What exactly is it? Like a different stage or is it a temporary a power up? Can other princesses do them as well or not?

And what exactly is Amaru? A dog, a pegasus? A shapeshifter animal? How does his magic work? Why can he summon a giant battlefield out of nowhere?

And what about the other magic kingdoms? We only saw a tiny bit of Xeris, but what about the others?

I wish they not only explained a little more about the magic, but also showed us more about the magical world. By doing that, it feels more alive, more

He's being portraited as this all mighty powerful wizard but then he just sits in the throne room doing God knows what, maybe looking at tarot cards with Banes who knows....

He doesn't do anything, just screams when an oracle gem gets to the crown, and yells at Praxina and Mephisto bc they are so 'useless'

If they are so terrible at their job and you are "oh so powerful":

If MC had a different work spouse who is not Griffin though, Dart would be less cool with it and there'd be some staring and narrowed eyes from him in the background.

Jade: This is soooooooooo annoyingggg!!! Griffin can you STOP... Outright glaring at Griffin sometimes and pouting, so of course Griffin will be even more openly aggressively playful with MC and tease Jade relentlessly... but if Jade starts getting genuinely upset (which she wont but--) if she gets upset Griffin will dial it down immediately. But Griffin would also be kind of impatient like "Make a move already, Jade??" and might just trap MC and Jade together in the elevator out of annoyance.

Well he's an angel so I'm taking him being catholic as canon. There are a lot of themes in the game that point to catholisism specifically.

its debatable if Gabriel truly believes he's "the one true savior" or is mocking the idea of it

ok im actually gonna write some gabe propaganda bc despite what you may expect from a game called ULTRAKILL theres a lot to be said about his character and how catholicism is represented

Gabriel is a genuinely caring person who struggles to square his desire to help people with his duty as an archangel. He's the only one in Heaven trying to make things better for those in Hell, but his faith is used to manipulate him into committing atrocities against the people he used to protect (see the "TRAITOR" mural in 4-2)

he only realizes his mistakes after losing everything and being sentenced to death, but he still decides with only a little time remaining to try and make things right. for the sake of spoilers i will just say that the measures he takes are... extremely drastic and very enjoyable. i just really like the idea that even facing the end of all living things, no matter how steep your crimes, it is never too late to fix your mistakes. you are never unworthy forgiveness.

hes also SO FUCKING GAY for this dumb little robot. it mauled him so hard he tasted his own blood and he fell in love right there. theres no way this guy has a normal healthy relationship to pain he is soooooooooo fucked. i love him. please vote for Gabriel "patron saint of gay lapsed catholics" Ultrakill !!!!!!!!

A childhood headcanon wawawa.... baby bill.... hm i have several small ones but i firmly subscribe to the headcanon that he was actually born in georgia because his mom is from there (it would explain EVERYTHING about him, especially because i also hc that his personality was just copy-pasted directly from his mom) but he moved to cranbury when he was like one or two so he considers himself "from cranbury, born and raised" anyway

A weird headcanon ok uhhhh idk if this is weird but it IS oddly specific so! he can make one (1) pie recipe! it's blueberry pie (cranbury is famous for it, according to google) and rita LOVES it. she's definitely not a sugar person and rarely indulges in anything at all but she's such a sucker for that fucking pie and bill is always over the moon whenever she gives him That Look that means she wants another slice but is too proud to ask

23. Future headcanon he takes rita to visit cranbury a couple years after they both fall into place beside each other and it's a very emotionally healing experience for both of them. he tells her lots of silly meaningless little anecdotes from when he was growing up while giving her the grand tour and rita isn't a very sentimental person either but she can't help how easy it is to picture him living in that cute little town when he gets so chatty about it :,)

(also rita eventually takes him to her hometown in wolverhampton and reluctantly introduces him to her very alive, very normal parents because i said so)

okay first before anything please please PLEASE don't be sorry for disappearing and retreating into the shadows for a bit. i mean it. you're braver than all of us for knowing when to take a break and even having the guts to deactivate for the betterment of your mental health especially with your posts blowing up and people being annoying and going through shit with your mental health and everything, i'm proud of you for taking that step & happy you did it!!! of course i was worried but i'm glad you're here and i'm glad you were able to do that to help scrape the grime and dirt off <3 seriously. :)

umm how things are going!!! idk nothing much has changed since you've been gone tbh? i just found out my coworkers at the library and i are getting a pay increase because the county loves us soooooooooo much and bc we've been working so hard, so that's cool!! i also finished writing a good omens fic that turned out to be 15 pages long (rip) and it was the first piece of non-poetry writing that i've attempted AND FINISHED in over a year. ACK!!!! im v proud of it :]

ALSO a little bit of tragic news our favorite girl (guitar) vendetta, my beautiful lovely woman, is like. on the fritz for some reason? her channel switch is fizzling out and she's have connection issues with the amp and it's really sad. but!! since my birthday is next month (the 17th), i talked to my parents and they agreed that for my bday present they would help me pay for a NEW GUITAR????. So I have seen the new Spiderman movie, and mind you, I'm very very very icky about spiders and have horrible arachnophobia. So I had to look away from the screen at some points. BUT!

The movie was amazing. The conflict between Miles and Spider Society? Glorious. I went to the cinema fully expecting to hate Miguel, but he reminded me of Riku from Kingdom Hearts so badly that he ended up being my favourite lol

The parallel of starting as a good guy who had some bad shit happen to him, vowing to make things right and accidentally choosing the absolute worst way to go about it???? The whole thing about realizing that maybe, JUST MAYBE he is the one who is wrong and the bad guy, but he's already in so deep that the guilt will eat him alive if he stops to consider other options??????? US AS AUDIENCE KNOWING THAT HE WILL HAVE TO STOP AND THINK ABOUT EVERYTHING HE HAS DONE AND THE IMPACT ON OTHER PEOPLE???????????????? I live for the moment where Miguel will HAVE TO come to terms with fucking up and realizing that he became the bad guy somewhere along the way.

I love that silly little guy and his silly slow platform.

Also Pavtir is an absolute sunshine and the irony of his world collapsing after he states that being a Spiderman is easy is not lost on me. I just hope his world will go back to normal somehow.

Hobbie reminds me way too much of me so we're leaving that can of worms closed.

Gwen. MY GOD MY GIRL. She was so devastated every time she had to keep something from Miles. And she's just a dumb teenager, feeling like she cannot talk about anything with an adult who could give her advice. I'm so soooooooooo happy she told her dad about being Spiderwoman.

And the most painful part of the movie - Peter B. Oh my god, I get his motivations and trying to help Miguel cope with loss of his daughter, but maybe parading around with his anomaly baby (because Mayday is an anomaly. She shouldn't have existed in their universe because Peter B wasn't supposed to get back with his MJ, it's only because of Miles). BUT also I believe that he did have it hard and the fact that he got his life back on track? Got together with the love of his life??? He has everything to cherish his daughter as much as possible.

The whole movie is amazing in showing how people with good intentions can go wrong about good things. Also I firmly believe that either A) Miguel is the first anomaly or B) he has the shittiest luck possible and the universe he jumped into was already destined to collapse. If he was the anomaly that destroyed it, why was he the only one not glitching out??? Why was the glitching of his universe so different than the glitching in Pavtir's world???

I might post my predictions or theories later depending on my time.

i think (at least from this trailers) gmmtv dramas are starting to look better visually which is crazy. but i wonder if they simply used this level of quality because it’s just like. trailers and not the real thing. i hope not because it looks a lot better like this

Bruce was always mesmerized by Vance.By that I mean by staring at him and not taking an eye off him for atleast 20 minutes without even realizing it.Of course,Vance finds that adorable,but then again,he never spoke about it,until one day..

While doing math homework,Bruce did it again.He lost focus and was looking at Vance the whole time.

"hey,is the answer to the sixth question 25?"

Vance asked as he looked at Bruce,realizing Bruce's been staring at him throughout the whole hang out.

Bruce quickly turned his head to avoid eye contact with his boyfriend.He hated eye contact,it made him so nervous when he was around people he liked.

"I'm sorry if I made you uncomfortable.."

Bruce felt bad,thinking he actually put Vance in an uncomfortable situation.

Vance chuckles at his reaction,finding it adorable.

"you're adorable,you know that?"

Vance said,as he pressed a soft kiss against Bruce's head.

"huh?-.."

Bruce's face turned red.He was an absolute mess.

"so..you're not upset?"

"yeah..just really tired."

Bruce said,yawning.

Vance said as he turned his head to look out on the road.

After around 10 minutes,of course,Bruce fell asleep.

He then immediately drove home.When they parked,he got out of the car,opened the door on Bruce's side,put a jacket over him and carried him to their apartment.This isn't the first time Vance carried Bruce around while he was asleep.When they got home,Vance puts Bruce on their bed,and was about to walk out of the room,until Bruce grabbed Vances hand.

"wait..don't leave.."

Bruce said,still being extremely tired.

Vance chuckles on that.He found it cute that Bruce wants him to stay.So of course,him being a good boyfriend he is,he immediately lied next to Bruce and hugged him.Bruce yawned and in the spawn of minutes they fell asleep holding each other.
