I know he tries his best for MK. He tries even if he's f*cked up a lot but he does care for the boy and his subjects.

But I mean like more content of him having fluffy moments with Mk in fandom PLEASE.

I love me some sunburst duo!!! I would eat it up

And praise the lord for artists and writers who do use sunburst duo!

Listen, I love my spicynoodles, shadowpeaches and freenoodles as much as the next person

But coming from an SBI fan who used to consume so much found family daily I kinda got hungover-

I kinda wish there was more platonic or gen stuff here...

Freenoodles + Mk fam and jackfruit duo are a godsend but do tend to get overshadowed a lot.

So I decided to yeet some to the pile with this adorable duo (hopefully you can actually see them through the dark, I swear it wasn't this dim when I drew it...)

Oh and yes this was inspired by that other sunburst duo comic I will try to link if I can but give that artist some love and I hope you can enjoy this too!

Wait I know it was necessary and having Hua Cheng there would be extremely helpful but how did Xie Lian not have a complete panic attack on even the thought of having to get in another coffin? Let alone being smushed in one? Even with Hua Cheng, I feel like he would have a lot more immediate claustrophobia at the very least...

I love the fact that Sonic has been through Hell and back and STILL hasn't had much character development personality AND physically wise amazes me.

Like, you're telling me this man has died and nearly died again on many occasions, seen MULTIPLE people die, fought multiple gods, had to go through 6 months of torture, had to deal with possible DAYS without actual human contact while his friends are in the embodiment of purgatory and having to experience near death again after the whole zombot problem with very little sleep (nearly succumbing to the virus near the end), THEN having to go on a murderous train before being shot with a blow dart by one of your friends, being knocked out for a good while then having to FIGHT the train itself.

Like, goddam Sega, let the man change after the hell you've put him through.

people who make fun of mike for being bullied or for the scene where he tells el that he would understand because he's been bullied his whole life make me sick. like, physically sick. because mike has been through so much and bullying can cause so much pain. remember when he jumped off a cliff to save dustin without hesitation??? yeah. that.

i get it, hating mike has become a trend and it's popular to make jokes and talk shit about him just because he's seen as "the bad guy" these last two seasons (he isn't, some of you are just dumb), but idk just- y'all should try to take a deep breath, count to ten, and think if what you're about to say is going to be complete bullshit or offensive.

at this point i'm gonna need more than a nail bat to defend this guy.

Hello, ghesties! I give you something I should have done a long time ago.

Official introduction of my grumpy boy, Arvak!

Ngl, when I first designed/drew him, I had little to no backstory for him… That obviously has changed, with bits of his design. Also, shoutout to @batcadillac for listening to my silly antics, headcanons and helping me figure out stuff about this baby!

Ref and backstory under the cut.

Arvak is a grumpy, somewhat stoic Water/Earth hybrid ghoul, who currently lives in the Abbey's woods. Which is more than idealistic, since he is hostile towards most ghouls and humans, and doesn’t like being a part of a pack. And he liked animals. Thus, he was assigned to work as a keeper in said forests. He doesn't speak much, and is very short with his actions too, leaving usually very rude first impression behind. Has no energy or time for bullshit, either. He's too old for that.

No matter where he goes, Arvak carries a well-cared lantern that has a blue flame. He is very protective of it, and touching his lantern without his permission can lead to an injury, inflicted by him. Maybe even death.

Assigned female at birth, Arvak is a product of infidelity. His water ghoulette mother had a one-night stand with an earth ghoul. Arvak never knew his bio-father, as his mother tried to pass him off as her husband’s son. Which didn’t work on a long run, as Arvak’s horns grew big, and he grew taller than any other male in his family. Deemed a bastard by his slightly honorable family, Arvak and his mother were cast away. And after he grew tired of the mistreatment his mother directed to him throughout his kithood, he left her to fend for herself.

Arvak wandered around for years, his hybrid status following him like a second shadow. Hybrid's are treated like second-class ghouls in most-places, making Arvak an outcast to most of his fellow demons. Because of this, he gradually grew even more shut-down and cautious of strangers.

That is, until one day, he stumbled upon a small earth ghoulette by accident. She had no hate in her eyes, when she looked at Arvak. With a smile on her face, and her tail thrashing, she offered Arvak a flower crown. And even if he was a bit cautious, and taken aback, he accepted it.

Ghoulette, Villa, lead Arvak to her community, consisting of a few smaller earth ghoul packs living in harmony, and brought her to her father, Jouhi. These two especially treated Arvak like their family, Villa even becoming Arvak’s mate, and having a kit, Leaf, together. Leaf was loved from the get-go by both of her parents, even if Arvak was terrified of parenting. Because he didn’t have a good parental figure growing up. But, he proved everyone wrong, when he got to hold Leaf for the first time.

However, another ghoul in the community, who was after Villa’s heart, didn’t approve this. Villa, a full Earth ghoulette, created a mate bond with an outsider? Who is a hybrid? And made a kit with him? Unacceptable!

Bitter and full of rage, he attacked the family. He killed Villa and Leaf, and injured Arvak badly. Even blinding Arvak’s green eye, before fleeing away from the carnage.

Heartbroken and mourning, Arvak sought help and support from the community… Without getting any. He found himself getting shunned again. Others blamed him for not being strong enough to fight the scorned ghoul off, that if he was a full earth ghoul, that wouldn’t have been an issue. Even Jouhi, dealing with his own grief after losing his only kit and grandkit, didn’t answer Arvak’s requests for help.

After trying to reach Jouhi again, without any results, Arvak returns to his now empty home. Broken and confused about everything. Perhaps even believing everything that has been said to him, ever since he was a kit…

Then, a miracle happened. He heard a worried whimper, somewhere in the room. And it sounded like Leaf.

It took Arvak a moment, and a frantic search, to realize where the sound came from. In Villa’s lantern, a family heirloom, was a blue, bright flame. And it acted and reacted just like his daughter would.

Arvak to this day isn’t sure how, and why… But he knows that the flame is Leaf’s soul. Father always knows.

Arvak, wanting to protect what was left of his daughter, and not trusting the community she was born in, left during the night with the lantern, and never looked back.

He wandered for a small eternity in the Pit, before he was summoned by Primo (a fic about it here). Arvak, having a bad experience from the ghoul community, very much similar to Abbey’s own, decided that he would rather stay in the woods instead. So, he was assigned as a keeper to the woods. A job he enjoys very much.

For years, Arvak has been in his own peace, with Leaf, and he is as happy as he could be with all the trauma he has.

His mife is changed when a young hybrid ghoul called Avalon (who belongs to @batcadillac), is summoned to the Abbey. And Arvak, unknowns to him, is assigned to be Avalon’s mentor. And Avalon’s happy-go-lucky nature mixed with his ignorance about Earth’s creatures is very much a nuisance to the older ghoul at first.

However, maybe, just maybe, Avalon’s influence is just what Arvak needs…

U'know that one trend of drawing flowers over a character's scars? Well I haven't seen any yet with our favourite lego Bois so here we are!

Tried to use a more painterly style, pretty proud with how it came out honestly!

Also anyone getting flowerfell flashbacks?

That's honestly one of the main reasons I chose buttercups and I thankfully had MANY references to choose from

Like this is literally flowerfell frisk with monkey. I had a lot of fun with it of course but still-

So the flowers around the head would kinda be expected right? Circlet scars and all

But why the eyes?

Well, as we know Wukong's eyes weren't always blood red. They were made that way via the trigram furnace. Permanently.

And idk bout you but since its a part of him which was permanently changed via something which damaged him, I consider that a scar!

There would most definitely be scars and flowers on other parts of him but I just got bit lazy and didn't know where to specifically put them. 😅

And on that note:

I feel like Wukong gets put through a lot of smack in the fandom.

Like A LOT.

Some of its deserved but then I see all he's been through and...yikes

But that's a rant for another day...

I do have some sketches for some other characters ie Nezha & Macaque (obviously) but actually don't have one for mk cause idk what scars he has exactly...

So if anyone has any ideas pls let me know! I'd love to hear about more ways I can decorate our favourite legos in flowers!
