Event: Heist of the Centuries

I brought you here because I’m putting together a crew for the greatest heist of all time. We’re hitting the Nuevos Angeles Gold Depository. Total take, should everything go according to plan, is one trillion dollars worth of gold. I have four teams: an air support team for extraction and three ground teams: one robs an armored car as a distraction, another drills into the bottom of the depository, and the last goes into the front, weapons blazing.

The air team keeps the helicopters nearby. Two people per chopper at all times: one pilot, one gunner.

The armored vehicle team flips the car by ramming it with a tow truck I had my guys take a few weeks back. We want them to call for help, so the team goes in, grabs everything they can, then puts down the truck personnel before getting extracted by the air team.

The drilling crew is in charge of breaching the vault and providing transportation to the extraction point, out of sight of the Bounty Hunters. They take the drill through the old subway tunnels. The whole route is mapped out, so all the driller needs to do is watch for any activity.

The frontal assault team is the heaviest armed, since that’s where we expect the most resistance. They’re in charge of taking control of the building. One person controls the people. The more hostages there are, the slower the Bounty Hunters will react. One person shuts down the power so no calls in or out are made, then helps the last guy. One person is a lookout. The last guy moves the gold into cages that our pilots will fly out.

All in all, that’s eighteen people with an individual take of fifty billion. Plenty for you and your friends.

All the equipment is untraceable and we refer to each other by codenames. Everyone gets a two way radio and some weapons.

SO. i set to work, determined to rebuild what had been taken away; i was thirteen years old, but i was determined! until a man arrived at my door claiming to hold debts belonging to my father, debts accumulated as my father drank, debts he claimed that now belonged to me, debts i could not possibly have hoped to repay. debts over which that man would have seen me imprisoned... imprisoned in a place where the debts would only have been discharged through hard labor. hard labor at no wages, working at - wait for it - the production. of textiles. “you people. incapable of accepting the world as it is.” says the man to whom the world handed everything. if no anne, if no rescue, if this is defeat for me, then know this: you and i were neck-in-neck in this race, right til the end.
