Matt Casey was easily the love of your life. Without a doubt. You’d known that since the day you met. You wanted to be with him and you knew he did too. So you asked him out, got drinks, then dinner and now you sat with him at Molly’s weekly for a drink.

And things were nice, “He nearly burnt his ass off, genuinely. That door was not going to hold much longer.” One of his coworker, Kelly, was going on about a house fire that they were called to that day and you felt a weight grow in your stomach.

You were aware he was a firefighter, putting himself directly in the line of danger was something he would do daily. But you still got antsy when it was brought up sometimes. Especially when Kelly whipped out the picture of the back of his jacket that nearly had an entire hole burnt through it. 

“Jesus, I’m gonna grab another drink, do you want one?” You questioned the man next to you, standing as he shook his head. 

“Nah, I’m alright.” Matt’s hand lingered on you until it physically couldn’t anymore, your body too far from his to reach. And you went up to the bar, asking for a shot or two from the curly haired bartender and downing them right there.

Normally you wouldn’t have been so abrasive with them, but it just needed to take the anxious edge off. Nothing more. “You alright there y/l/n?” Stella questioned, picking up a glass to polish it. 

The night had been pretty slow so there wasn’t much for her to do when she wasn’t actively pouring liquor into cups for customers. “Yeah, I just kind of got skeeved out over what they were talking about but, yeah, I’m okay.” You forced a small smile on your face. “Can I get a beer?” Just as you asked, the other man behind the bar came over, already having a bottle in his hand.

“From that guy over there.” Otis’ nose scrunched up, not having had it in him to tell the guy there was no use, instead just offering the drink up and turning back. Your eyes locked with the guy on the opposite end of the bar, that apparently being a sign for him to get up and move closer to you.

Stella gave you a look that silently said she’d have an eye on you as she stepped away, being beckoned over by Mouch for another drink. “Hey,” The stranger nodded his head at you, a tilt to his head as he leaned against the counter.

“Hi.” Short and sweet, attempting to cut the interaction short. “Thanks for the drink,” You added on, be nice and maybe he wouldn’t end up being some psychopath that followed you home.

“Yeah, no problem. I’m James.” He was very adamant on talking to you, not noticing the way you very fully were keeping yourself back from him, any conversation he tried to hold was met with short or dry answers. Not to mention the way his eyes dragged over you.

It made your skin crawl and you were trying to find a decent way to drop this interaction. The only thing that actually got you out of it, was Matt finally deciding he’d had enough of this guy eyeing you up and down and coming over, protectively putting his arm around your waist. “Hey baby,” He made a show of planting a nice and wet kiss to your lips.

Easily, your arm went around him, thankful that he decided to come over, a smile finally spreading onto your face, “Hi.” Your voice was small as the man you didn’t even want near you slinked away, obviously embarrassed.

As soon as he was away, Matt dropped his arm from your side, “We’re going home.” He muttered, pulling you out of the building with his jaw clenched. There was a look you had never, and genuinely you meant, ever seen on his face.

The ride was nearly silent, Matt’s hands simply holding onto the steering wheel, not in yours. Not on your thigh like he would usually on the way home from Molly’s. You would have said something but honestly, what do you even say when you don’t know why he was being like that?

Back at his apartment, you stopped as soon as you shut the door, “Alright, what the hell is your problem? Why are you so mad?” You finally spoke up, crossing your arms. The man had tried to simply go to the room, once again not stopping to say or even look at you.

He turned, raising his eyebrows, “He was clearly checking you out and you didn’t do anything,” His voice came out louder than he meant to, taking in a deep breath. “that’s why I’m mad.”

You pulled your eyebrows together, shaking your head, “I didn’t do anything because I knew I was going to go back over to you anyway, Matt. I’m female in my thirties, I’m used to men unwantedly staring at me.” 

That was just how it was for women and sure, you didn’t expect him to fully get that but being blamed for it was not something you were okay with. Even if you were in love with him. “I get that this is, still kind of new, or whatever you want to say about it, but if you’re going to get this worked up anytime a guy looks in my direction,” You cut yourself off, looking at him.

He knew what you were implying, and that alone had him walking over and grabbing onto your hands tightly. “I only did, because he was very clearly undressing you with his eyes, but if you don’t want me to, I won’t. As long as you come home with me at the end of the night, that’s all I care about.”

“And I will. I swear that I will. Always.”

“Okay, alright. I’m sorry.” He moved a hand to the side of your face to lean into a more gentle kiss than earlier, holding yours in his other one still. You interlocked your fingers together before looking up at him.

Slightly you shook your head, “Don’t be. You jealous was a bit hot.” You muttered, gazing up at him while biting at the inside of your cheek.

His eyebrow twitched up, looking back down at you, “Oh yeah?”

“Mhm. Just a bit though.”

“I’ll have to try better next time then.”

How good are Servamp characters at handling spice?

Mahiru: 10/10, to everyone's shock. He'll buy spicy snacks if he feels like treating himself and more often than not would lean into the spicier options of recipes if they give good flavor to the meal and not just heat. He could eat hellfire, probably. This is a distinct Shirota Family Trait.

Kuro: This is a European vampire born in fuck knows when. He stole one of Mahiru's spicy snacks once without looking at the label and nearly died. 0/10. Mahiru has adjusted his cooking accordingly.

Tetsu: 6/10. Can handle a normal, decent amount of spice! He prefers more cleaner tastes rather than spicy stuff but he has a few snacks he likes to indulge in. If you give him any raw hotter peppers though, he'll suffer.

Hugh: 2/10. Better than his older brother but not by much lmao. This is another old European man and while he was raised with riches and access to a wide variety of foods, he never had the pallet for it. Cannot bite into raw garlic. Hilarious~

Mikuni: 6/10. All of the Alicein's tend to prefer sweets but he can handle spice well! He loves to be a snob about anything he can be knowledgeable about and that includes many different cuisines, some of which happen to be spicy! So even if he didn't like spice too much at first, he'd grow into it. I feel that he'd make it a point to try and heighten his tolerance but had to stop bc his throat started closing up.

Jeje: 3/10. His face gets red very easily and he gets unsightly looking fast. Mikuni laughs at him for it. Also he does not like the scorch even if he doesn't think the flavor is bad. If he wanted any kind of burn, he'd drink alcohol, thank you.

Iduna: 8/10. I think she'd handle spice exceptionally well! She loves any of those fast food items thats whole purpose is to make your mouth feel like its on fire and has a couple times gotten these items for herself and her coworkers when she drew the short straw for who pays for lunches. Watched them all choke. One time she asks for a bite of Mahiru's indulgent spicy food and Mahiru gives her a portion. She was not prepared.

Freya: 5/10. Prefers heartiness to spiciness. She'll just politely push her plate aside if its too spicy for her.

Licht: 5/10. Actually not too bad handling spicy stuff but will curse at anything that makes his nose start running. In shock of Mahiru and Iduna's ability to down things that look like red hell. Prefers sweet.

Lawless: 6/10. Just barely a noticeably higher tolerance than his Eve but will start sweating fast and start to look unkempt if he eats too much spice for too long. Has deliberately raised his tolerance but won't go any farther than he is now.

Niccolo: 4/10. Decent but also Italian foods are not much known for their hotness. Will start crying and his ears will get extremely red-- Honestly its kinda a cute sight aside from his suffering.

Ildio: He couldn't taste anything for the vaaast majority of his life to flavor in general is new to him. His reaction to spice is him being thrown on his ass bc they made the mistake of giving him something not mild first lmaooo. He gradually keeps trying however and he builds up a very good tolerance! Unrelated but the first time Niccolo gave him a lemon, he bit into it like an orange and puckered his face so hard he got cramps. Niccolo has that on video. 7/10.

Misono: 1/10. DO NOT MAKE THIS BOY SUFFER LIKE THAT. He already has it hard enough trying to brave his way through drinking bitter black coffee to look Cool, he'll pass out. Also I wouldn't think it'd be very good with his allergies.

Lily: 2/10. Not a fan and cannot handle it very well. He'll start coughing and his skin will get all sweaty and red and blotchy and he absolutely refuses, thank you.

Tsubaki: 5/10. Normal! But is sensitive to the strong smells so he usually gets something safely below his capabilities if he wants to indulge. Like Tetsu, prefers cleaner tastes.

Bonus!

Tooru: 9/1o! Again, loving spice is a Shirota Family Trait and while his nephew shadows his capabilities, he still puts all of his coworkers and underclassmen to complete fucking shame. It has saved him from his lunches being stolen in the break room.

Touma: Look, he's fucked the Shirotas but does not have their genes. 0/10. He cannot handle spice for shit and was the one who was stealing Tooru's lunches. He learnt the hard way.

Sakuya: 3/10. Ok at spice but has also shared the fate of unknowingly eating the Shirota's food. In his case, he asked Mahiru to share his delicious (as usual) looking lunch during their time in school together. Mahiru warned him that it was a "bit spicy" and Sakuya make the terrible, horrible, no good mistake of brushing that aside while Ryuusei and Koyuki watch on without saying anything, already paying their respects to their poor friend. Needless to say Sakuya is put on the floor. The other two couldn't interrupt. It's a canon event to being one of Mahiru's close friends. He prefers sweet things, actually!

The parallel of Frederick ripping his sleeves to cover Gwen's wound and then Gwen ripping Maria's blanket to save Leland.

WH. OHHHHHH. OH DAMN OH MAN. YOOOOOOOO. I DID NOT EXPECT THAT. Wait so I'm guessing here that Isolde forged Leland's signature? But when did she send that letter? Was it sent during the war? If yes then the process is really quick! It's just one day.

Honestly I'm so glad Isolde wrote that she's going to take the throne until her sons are ready because they CANNOT rule the whole damn kingdom right now with that mental state. And I honestly love the idea of all of them ruling the kingdom instead of just one of them.

sorry but am i the only one that thinks elvis wasn't that good with karate? 😳

I think he would definitely karate kick both of our asses for questioning his skills 😩 but I totally get what you mean- the first time I watched his Gladiator tape I was flabbergasted lmaooo

apparently in Kenpo karate, the kind of karate that Elvis practiced, when giving an award to someone you kick them in the stomach as a sign of respect and when Elvis gave an award to the guy in the gif on the right he accidentally kicked him in the balls 😭

“At one point during that demo, Elvis promoted Bill Wallace and gave him a trophy. In Kenpo, when you get promoted, you get kicked in the stomach by the person who promoted you. Elvis kicked a little low and accidentally hit Bill in the balls. Bill took it well”

honestly I don’t know anything about karate outside of Elvis so I personally can’t speak to his skills but based on what Dave Hebler, a 10th degree black belt in kenpo, and Ed Parker, who invented kenpo karate, have said it seems like Elvis definitely had the basics down and had a great passion for it, he just couldn’t practice it as much as he’d like too ⬇️

“Although Elvis was the greatest entertainer ever, he wasn't the greatest martial artist ever. To my knowledge, he never trained on a regular basis in any style or with one single instructor in his entire adult life. He did have sporadic lessons here and there and even some semi-regular lessons with different instructors over the years, but nothing on a longterm basis. It was Ed Parker who signed off on all of Elvis’ promotions, all the way up to his 10th degree black belt, and Dave Hebler talked about how in his book it was more of a gesture of kindness towards Elvis than something that he had actually earned, much like the police badges he got and the narcotics officer badge he got ⬇️

so yeah he may have not had the skills of an actual 10th degree black belt but his love for the sport was so genuine and unlike some of his other interests like horse back riding, it was something that he loved up until the end of his life. I never knew this before but Elvis actually helped Dave Hebler start a program to teach women self defense: Lisa was probably too little at the time but I definitely think Elvis would have made sure she could have kicked ass in karate 😩 ⬇️

He and I discussed what kind of material we would put into the curriculum. Elvis knew how important a specific self-defense program for women was to me. The material didn't work and didn't relate to women because they have unique needs when it comes to self-defense. idk I guess it's an unpopular opinion (tho again maybe not because I feel like for as much as that was a TRAGIC cliffhanger we're all kinda like...into it, right? lmaooo) but I feel like the break-up was a long time coming and needed to happen in order for them to progress the relationship forward. Of course I love post season one fics where they're already a couple after failed armageddon and everything's perfect and fine and that's kind of what I just entertained until I knew more of the story was going to be told because IN THAT CASE!!

I guess it's been said already, but I've always felt like for as close as they were at the end of season one and for as much as it seems like they've carved out a niche for themselves that works, there's something about it that has always felt sort of tenuous for me, and I feel like it's manifested in times that I've written them in post season one, either solo or in RP with a friend. Sometimes it's heaven/hell not being done with them and only pretending to stand back while thinking of a way to get them, but often it's that plus their own sense of loyalty to themselves or outer entities, etc.

As season 2 establishes and as I always kind of suspected, Aziraphale has never really 'given up' on heaven, perhaps not aided by the fact that I don't think Crowley ever gave him specific details of what went on during his trial. The tribulations of the first act of the story don't really destroy Aziraphale's confidence in what he's always believed to be true, it just leads him to think the wrong people have been in charge, still leaving him with this sense of 'this = good' and 'this = bad' and, well...Crowley is still a demon.

Now, of course, Crowley usually falls into a rationalized category of 'Not Like Other Demons' for Aziraphale and most of the time that's fine, but when push comes to shove it turns into a bigger, more divisive issue than anything they can ignore because, ultimately, Az thinks everything will be fine once they're both on the same side of 'good'. Once Crowley is as he used to be. Because surely that's what he REALLY wants as well?? WHO WOULDN'T WANT TO BE AN ANGEL??

And in that way, Crowley has his own sense of loyalty that clashes with Aziraphale's, but I think it's really a loyalty to himself. I don't mean that in a derogatory way at all. I don't mean to imply that he really IS selfish and evil. I mean to say that Crowley has accepted who and what he is, that for as much as God's forsaking of him still haunts his sense of self, he accepts his fate with lurid enthusiasm. Unforgivable, that's what he is. Fine! Because if earning god or heaven's love means being other than what he really truly is and wants to be, then it means nothing and also fuck them.

In that way though, Aziraphale is also 'not like other angels' for Crowley, because there's this sort of understanding that he either doesn't care or accepts him anyway and honestly I think the reason Crowley avoids talking about that for so long is because he doesn't really want to know which it is. But then he finds out, because circumstances have forced them to. And I notice that while he is devastated, he doesn't seem surprised. Sort of like Crowley always knew they were going to have to face this crossroads eventually and knew what Aziraphale was going to choose.

I can't really fault either of them for making their respective choices. If anything, my admiration for Crowley's character has increased a hundred fold and I was already partial to him lmao. It's not easy to choose yourself and your own self-preservation and the truth of who you are over anything else, over the threat of really, truly being alone, but...he does, and I think there's a takeaway in that. And I get where Aziraphale is coming from too, even for how painful and seemingly selfish it is (but I don't think it is, not in intention anyway).

idk this became a ramble but I feel like it all makes sense and is crucial to really exploring what that love between them could truly be in the end.

uhhhh honestly i don't get super angsty with my fics, especially not the endings lol. simpley not my style... i guess transfer point ended on a rather bittersweet note. born with a weak heart would have been even more so, if i'd ever finished it.

7. What is the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?

on the other hand i also don't write fics with particularly saccharine endings either. it's kinda just, oh this is pleasant/cute/hopeful :) i wouldn't say there's a clear winner.

8. Do you get hate on fics?

so far, any haters have kept their thoughts to themselves, which is good. i suppose my writing is usually quite benign anyway lol

9. Do you write smut? If so, which kind?

i have a few unfinished drafts lying around but i've never published anything. (unless you count that one with piers/emmet? it's nsfw for sure but i think you'd be setting the wrong expectations if u called it smut lol.) anyway i'm not terribly interested in going into detail here.

10. Do you write crossovers? What’s the craziest crossover you’ve ever written?

again, i've attempted to draft some in the past but never got close to finishing any of them. i think i'm more likely to draw a weird crossover than write one :p

i've uhhhh translated my own fic once??? i guess that counts but i wouldn't say i did a good job LOL -- i'd written a supershort 200-word thing in both english and scots, and i haven't studied scots all that extensively. but it was fun to try, and somehow the scots version got more attention than the english one lol

god i can't give just one answer to an all-time favorite anything LOL. uhhh deduswayne still has a special place in my heart; the autistic jock/autistic nerd dynamic i gave them was so fresh and fun to me... i love raileon despite not ever really writing it ooooops... and then griebold is my newest interest, which is quite funny since raileon is one of the most popular pokemon ships on ao3 but griebold is so unheard of that i'm literally the only person to have posted an english-language work for it there lmfao

15. What’s a WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will?

probably... the bede&hop post-canon qpr fic... i really would love to write a qpr (as well as non-romantic relationship drama in general) but it's another sprawling multichapter thing and idk if i have it in me :^(

16. What are your writing strengths?

dialogue and character dynamics hehe... that's what's most fun for me to write too. i also like to believe i'm good at writing a ship without losing sight of the individual chars involved. and i'm pretty good with spelling and grammar, contrary to what my casual fucking around on tumblr posts may imply LOL. i may not always write in the clearest or most beautiful way, but by god that syntax is solid

17. What are your writing weaknesses?

description lol. i am not a poet by any means; i think it will not surprise anyone to know i did better in linguistics classes than in english.

18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic?

do it if 1) you're able to put in the effort and 2) it makes sense to do it. on point 1, i don't think there's anything wrong with saying that chars are speaking in another language but rendering the actual written dialogue in english (or whatever ur mother tongue may be), especially if it's not a language ur fluent in. of course it's good to do research for ur writing but language learning is hard, doubly so if ur trying to write those chars speaking casually. cuz you can't really pick that up from reference texts, or maybe you can but it comes out sounding odd and unnatural. (think of how easy it is to mess up english slang/colloquialisms.) BUT you know, perfect is the enemy of good, and if ur willing to give it the ol college try then i really think it'll help ur foreign-lang-speaking chars feel more alive.

on point 2, i'm mostly thinking of the context of multilingual chars, which adds another layer of complexity. this old post will give u an idea of what i mean. if you're monolingual and mostly only interact with other monolinguals, you may find it difficult to write bilinguals believably. i suggest looking up info on code-switching and, more generally, language learning and bilingualism. (and also heritage languages, which fall under bilingualism but have their own specific features.) again, this is pretty demanding stuff and i wouldn't blame you for just sticking to english dialogue, but i do think it's worth a shot.

have i tried this myself? yes, most prominently in the day to end all days, and also a bit in my other swsh fics... oh yeah, i guess i also made siebold use quebec french swears lol. mind you, i'm under no illusion that i write it well. no one has told me yet that i'm fucking it up, but also no one's told me i'm doing a good job either lol. so idkkkkk

19. First fandom you wrote for?

st*rdew valley... i loved that game so much that it motivated me to start making fanfics and fanart haha. i started posting black box open about eight years ago, which if you'll recall is the fic i have the most kudos on. it was all downhill from there buddy!!!!!!!!!!! lol i'm just kidding, i really just tend not to write for popular fandoms is the thing (or when a fandom is at its most popular)

20. Favorite fic you’ve written?

honestly it's usually just Whichever Fic I Posted Most Recently lmao. i guess that's not bad, that means i feel like i improve with every story or w/e. i'm still really attached to the day to end all days, though. it's not finished yet (and won't be for quite some time) but it has the most involved plot yet out of all my fics, and it explores some really interesting character spaces too.

💫what is your favorite kind of comment/feedback?

Honestly any kind of (positive) feedback is good feedback in my book, I just love to know that readers are enjoying what I've written even if it’s a small comment. I love when someone tells me how the chapter/work has impacted them, what sort of emotions it gave them or when they point out something that I hadn't even realised myself when I was writing lol-- sometimes there are themes or motifs or other small details that pop out over the course of sharing a longer work and I love when readers pick that up and tell me about it. It’s almost like seeing the work through someone else's eyes which as a writer it isn’t easy to do! Mainly, I just like talking about the characters that I spend so long thinking about and writing about and being obsessed with lol.

Aah I didn't think this was going to be this hard!! 😅 Okay so... I think that my writing is quite immersive? I love creating a lush and vivid picture whenever I can, or delving deep into a character's emotions and thoughts, and I feel like that is something that comes across to the reader as well.

🎈describe your style as a writer; is it fixed? does it change?

I'm not sure if what is meant here is the way someone writes (whether someone is a pantser or a planner) or if it's about the writing/prose itself? In this case, I feel like both of those things have sort of changed over the years, or depending on what I'm working on.... In some works I feel like I am more verbose than others for instance. Like whenever I'm writing Patroclus POV my mind often goes into overdrive describing how gorgeous Achilles is LOL he just does that 😂 I also think that my writing becomes less lyrical as time goes on but maybe that's my insecurities creeping in about it being a little flat lately lmaooo. Another thing that has changed is that I used to be able to write somewhat complex and involved plots but for some reason I don't feel like I can do that anymore 😭 it's all vibes man

As for my writing process, I feel like I started mainly as a pantser/planner hybrid, in the sense that I always had an idea of the ending I was writing towards but would make up a lot as I went, but as I gained more experience and figured out an outlining process that works for me, I've become mainly a planner. I still don't often write detailed outlines down, I mostly have it all in my head but it tends to be very clearly laid out before I even start writing.

💞what's the most important part of a story for you? the plot, the characters, the worldbuilding, the technical stuff (grammar etc), the figurative language

Oooh good question. Honestly, I think it’s the plot, with the worldbuilding a close second. I have read entire books or fics where the writing was very mediocre and even had many mistakes just because the premise was interesting and the story kept being interesting, or because the worldbuilding was very engaging. On the other hand, I have abandoned stories where the prose itself was good just because the story was awful lol. As for the characters, I still feel like a strong plot can carry along even a character that isn't as strongly written. However, an interesting character in an uninteresting plot will just get lost regardless.

first, those arts are fucking GORJUS my sweettums. as someone who has lost the ability to draw, that is beautiful. i used to think of becoming a free style painter or to learn how to draw digital but somewhere along the way i just gave up and decided to simply settle on writing instead. even now, when i see art tiktok or recommendations of compilation videos on yt, i feel a bit of an ache in my chest. its just there, y’know?

second, i think you should do for it. maybe try opening up an account on a platform ur incredibly familiar with. perhaps tumblr? or even ig? or even tiktok works too! just any platform you feel safe and comfortable and know how to navigate is good.

and yeah, i can def say felt to the “it will make my mental health worse if i only get 2 likes or smt” bc same same same. i try to write good and capture the characters’ personality correctly while keeping the fic ‘alive’ only to end up with like,,,, hundreds of likes but no feedbacks or reposts or smt LMAOOO

as for a single tip i would give is to expect everything. not everyones going to like ur content and they will suddenly crash into ur inbox talking abt how they hated this fic or smt of yrs bc it was disgusting or not their thing. that has happened to me like,,,, 3 times???? i think?????? and and!!! be sure to do a bit of research beforehand, me thinks. see what kind of attention you would get when u start to post on ur page or account.

Olympia Soiree Part 5 - Kuroba Route

Awww, the CG with Kuroba happily smiling whilst immunising the children in Yomi is so adorable! I love how warm and kind he looks. It's so sweet to know and see that Kuroba frequently comes to Yomi in his personal time to watch over the health of the residents because there's no licensed doctor down here. Gotta agree with Camelia and the mice, Kuroba would be a great husband! LMAO, I love Byakuya's deadpan face when Kuroba says something stupid🤣🤣 I love how he changes his voice when he "pretends" to be Byakuya in his scenario of "how to catch a handsome guy by dropping a handkerchief" hahahaha. I think the funniest thing is Byakuya actually took his silly advice and tried it🤣🤣 Lmaooo when Kuroba came back and picked up her handkerchief and gave it back to her🤣🤣 It's actually really cute how interested she is towards Kuroba. To be fair, I've always been curious about him, so I don't blame her for following him for just a bit to see his "date" hahaha. It's also quite funny to see Hairi actually run away from someone, guess Kuroba isn't the easiest to deal with considering his personality🤭 It's saddening to think about parents who actually don't want to receive their child's letters from Yomi because they think that them becoming a criminal is a disgrace. I never really thought about it since most parents would want to interact with their children in some way, but I guess this is "understandable" in the sense that it's probably difficult for him to live on the surface with people probably talking about him for having a son who is a criminal etc.

Oh, so the previous leader of the Yellow, Orange and Blue all died from haku? Now I'm wondering if they were all "murdered". My heart melted when Kuroba so confidently told Byakuya she is beautiful and she should have confidence in herself. Btw it's so funny how Kuroba gets nervous when Byakuya takes his flirting seriously and says stuff like he can teach her then hahaha. I guess I expected haku to have some sort of medicine, but I didn't think there was a medicine that had a cure rate of 90% with the side effect of causing their colour traits to darken and probably change their hair and even eye colour to black! Honestly, with how those who aren't primary colours are treated, I'm not surprised people would rather die than take this medicine. They've been living "privileged" for their colours their whole life, they probably don't even consider being of a lower class as "being alive". Especially since you get sent to Yomi and scorned by others. It's saddening to think that Masuhana's friend, Yuusuge had to experience that. Lmao at Tokisada saying they should get married so they can eat mint chocolate ice cream and bathe in the hot baths all day, I mean the offer is enticing I guess🤣🤣 Although I agree with Kuroba and Byakuya that we should prioritise life above all else and that living is what we should strive for instead of giving it up so easily just because you can't give up on your status quo, but at the same time considering how crappy life is for those who aren't of the primary or secondary colours, I can understand to an extent why they would rather die. How very interesting that the primary colours are more susceptible to haku because of their "purity", and that the lower classes with mixed blood are stronger immunity-wise. I can't imagine being alive but rotting to death. That is so scary. I can see why people fear haku so much on this island, and why everyone sees it as such a priority to find a cure without side effects. The sight of seeing someone rot to death and knowing that it's highly contagious is so frightening.

I really didn't expect Byakuya and Kuroba to really do spontaneously go to the beach together hahaha! I wish there was a full length CG of Byakuya in her swimsuit, it looks good in her portrait. Lmaooo at Kuroba getting half-naked and telling Byakuya she can touch him free of charge since she needs experience for the future🤣🤣 Byakuya blushing and then trying to calm herself down with an ice pack because she thinks she's feverish is so cute. I really like how dedicated Kuroba is to finding a cure to haku, and I have to agree with him that I think it's definitely something on this island causing it and not necessarily a curse. LMAO when Kuroba sprayed her to remove the smell of those paper that smell like roses she got from Nagusa😂😂 I legit died when he just randomly sprayed her and you hear the sound effects😂😂 Kuroba in a casual outfit hits different, I have to say, I prefer the lab coat though🧐 Oh wow, so the Black class wasn't even recognised as a colour class until a year ago?? Considering the discrimination, I'm shocked Kuroba has such a high role in the Kotowari. It's sad that their shou crystals get "thrown away" into the waterfall instead of being honoured to the sun, but at the same time, I think that's better because the waterfall seems like such a nice place. Ooh, so these are the "extras" that aren't even used for research, so it's like "rubbish", which sounds so saddening tbh.

Omggg why does the food look so good in this game?! Okay, Kuroba wiping sauce off Byakuya's lip is making my heart race🥺🥺 That's so cuteee🥺 Um, my heart!! When Kuroba kissed her forehead...I really didn't expect that, it was so beautiful as a CG, I just can't. I didn't really think about the fact that Kuroba doesn't need to get married because Tenguu Island people don't care about preserving the Black, which is ironic considering they do need them for research on haku. Lmao at Kuroba asking her thoughts on their first kiss🤣 interestingly, Byakuya's hair didn't turn black, but grey instead🧐 Maybe because it was just a kiss?

I feel so terrible for the husband that contracted haku and the wife who wanted him to live so much that she asked the doctors to give him the ne medicine. I can't say I'm surprised he ended up jumping off the roof of the hospital after his colour traits turned black, but I just can't imagine how terrible and inconsolable the wife must be, knowing her decision led to his death. She wanted him to live so much that she didn't care if his traits could turn black, and yet in the end he still ended up dying in an even worse way imaginable to her. I was wondering why Riku needed Himuka, but I see, if someone dies by suicide, they get Himuka instead of Riku because they believe that those who commit suicide can't go to heaven and that people nearby will be cursed by their sin. I wonder how it feels to be Himuka. He basically gets the worst of everything on this island. Honestly, even though I agree with Byakuya that I'm disappointed Kuroba really is using the children to aid his research on haku and stuff, I..also can't blame him. The fact that the children haven't noticed already shows how much care he actually provides for them. And considering that Kuroba is basically from Yomi, I don't think many others beside him really understand how dreadful Yomi and the surface can be, and how much he would want to change things. I'm sure that he has his reasons, and that those reasons are for something good, because I believe he and Akaza are people who truly want change. But yeah, understandable that Byakuya is disgusted. Anyway, Nagusa is annoying, but he's right though, if we're considering things from Tenguu Island's perspective. The Black class isn't something they know much about, but they do know that it's possible for one's colour traits to change to Black, so with that possibility, you can't blame these people for thinking that if Byakuya and Kuroba were to be together, his Black traits might run deeper than they think and can "contaminate" the White that they need to bless the Sun in order to survive. I mean, it's all selfish in the end, but Byakuya wants to protect these people even though they're selfish, and that's why she's looking for a husband in the first place.

OMG, I didn't expect Kuroba to actually have been originally from the Yellow, and only became a Black because he took the Ne medicine when he contracted haku😱 and he was the previous leader of the Yellow's son?? I think it was only when Asuha started crying did I realise how much he was trying to endure by himself. He's always looked so strong and positive, I'm glad Byakuya saved him from that Blue guy that hits him. It's ridiculous to think of grown men like this taking out their stress or whatever on children like Asuha. I wonder what Nagusa experienced in order for him to hate the primary colours so much. Considering how Kanan and Nagusa usually band together, I guess we can assume it's as worse and unfair as how Kanan was treated. Anyway, Nagusa is being an ass to Byakuya obviously, but I can't blame him for wanting to use whatever he can to elevate his position and break the colour class system he hates. Okay, no, we can blame him, I wasn't expecting him to force himself on her right here and now and basically blackmail her into having sex with him or he'll falsely accuse Kuroba of raping Byakuya and then execute him. He's such a shit. Forgive me for laughing when white mold started forming on his hands lollll. I wonder if it really was a coincidence that haku just happened to start to take over him then and there or if it's related to Olympia? Omggg when Kuroba was about force himself on Byakuya too, I just wanted to shake him to his senses lol. At least there's no more misunderstanding about it, and Byakuya told him what happened with Nagusa. My heart still breaks for Kuroba every time he thinks he's "tainting" Byakuya when her hair colour changes. It would definitely be scary for him, especially since he doesn't want Byakuya to face what he faces, and if she were to change to Black, I'm sure everyone on this island would want to kill them since the sun would die without her🥲 But yeah, it’s so frustrating how Byakuya doesn’t tell Kuroba the reason her hair colour changes when he’s panicking.

Honestly though, when you think about it, I doubt Nagusa could really get Kuroba executed, he's too valuable in terms of haku research which everyone desires a cure for, so Sakyo and them wouldn't let him die knowing he's progressing with a new medicine. Okay, I didn't expect Douma to suggest reinstating Kuroba as a Yellow and saying he could eventually take over his position along with marrying Olympia. Does he want this chance to get rid of Nagusa that much that he's suggesting Kuroba to basically kill him while he's down with that water in Yomi to basically accelerate his death by haku? Umm, I honestly thought Kuroba wouldn't even need to think about it lol. Like, I know it's disgusting to think of Nagusa forcing himself on Byakuya and stuff, but Kuroba has stated many times in this route how much he cherishes life and how he hates people for undermining it. But here he is hoping or even thinking about just not having his medicine work on Nagusa for an "easy way out" of this dilemma. Honestly, I'm sure there's other ways to get out of this without having to kill Nagusa, and I'm annoyed that they're undermining life just because he's a piece of shit lol. I'm sure there's been worst people Kuroba would save with no hesitation because he's a doctor, so seeing him basically compromising his principles like this is just weird lol.

Anyway, I'm glad they slept on it and both came to the conclusion that they can't just kill Nagusa like that despite how disgusting and despicable he is. I didn't expect Kuroba to actually be the first to have been administered Ne. I guess he was going to die either way so they might as well have tried it on him, but yeah, it's sad to think that he was the first to experience losing his "spot" with his family because his colour changed. I guess that's why he doesn't know anything about his parents. I liked how Kuroba talked about how scary and selfish a person can become, because by learning that he could want Nagusa to die so badly in contrast to his usual desire as a doctor hoping for people to live, he also recognised that he's not immune to his selfish thoughts and desires as a person, and I'm glad for that. I'm so glad for Kuroba and Tenguu Island that the Ikimizu water from the spring at Tennyo Island worked into mixing with the Shou to make a new medicine for haku. It's such a big breakthrough for them😭😭 On the other hand, the handkerchief thing tying Byakuya and Kuroba back together as they love and accept each other as their partner was just so sweet, I teared up🥲 The CG is so perfect. I'm so sad the sex scene is so short compared to like Tokisada and them, like whaaaat nooo, my Kuroba lolll. Anyway, seeing Kuroba so gentle in the CGs is just so sweet, I love it. I'm so glad Kuroba got to punch Nagusa before he got arrested by Akaza and Riku, but what?? It ended so abruptly!! I also wanted to say, life is so unfair, Tokisada had so many and such beautiful CGs especially when it came to the sex scene, but Kuroba's CGs are so lacking that it's legit sad lolll. I'm so happy for Kuroba and Yomi that Kuroba used his "reward" for the haku cure to tell them to build a clinic in Yomi. I personally think he deserves much more than that considering how big of a thing this is, but I guess one step at a time?

LOL okay, I was expecting Kuroba to stab Nagusa in that bad end, but then he instead kills Byakuya so she'll never be someone else's?? Honestly, I'm not sure where the logic is for that, and it's kindaaaa weird how crazy he became to commit a lovers suicide without her consent lol. On the other hand, I kinda wish we got to see what happens after these bad endings where Byakuya dies. Like, what happens to the island after the last White dies? Does everyone die? Can everyone destroy Nagusa for causing Olympia's death? I felt so sad for Byakuya in the other bad ending. Feeling like she caused Kuroba's death by haku because she wished for Nagusa to die is saddening, but it probably was because of her, since Kuroba might have gotten too close to the haku bacteria or something when he "killed" Nagusa. It's sad🥲 I love bad endings though, there's so much potential and creativity! It's so fun! The short story was so cuteee and sweet, I loved it.

Overall, I loved the first half of the route, and Kuroba himself but I really question the second half lol. Aside from stuff like Byakuya refusing to tell Kuroba why her hair turns black and saving him from feeling like he's corrupting the person he loves the most, the misunderstandings in the second half of the route are crazy🥲 So much unnecessary drama especially with the using the kids thing because it was soooo unnecessary for Kuroba to do all that, and then omg when Nagusa became the main antagonist for this route?? I wanted to throw hands for the attempted rape and then Kuroba getting "angry" and attacking her afterwards too, like noooo, can we not do this? Anyway, I honestly think they could have just made the "problem" of this route just him suffering from being the Black class and his origins as a Yellow and I would have liked that more, because I honestly found it interesting how the Black colour class is "new" to the island etc. Anyway, despite my grievances, I still enjoyed the route more than Yosuga's tbh, because it was actually entertaining despite Nagusa being an annoying shit most of the time loll. I liked how they found a new cure for haku and how Kuroba felt a very personal moral dilemma when it came to wanting Nagusa dead despite wanting to always cherish life. Honestly, the handkerchief thing was so corny but sweet and probably the best thing about this route hahaha. My heart feels so warm just thinking about how nicely done it was, it brings such a big smile to my face hahaha. Honestly, I think their relationship is very adorable and probably my favourite romantic connection alongside Riku haha.

it was like a wedding party, and i think it was someone from jungkooks family that was getting married and jimin was there and they were trying on baby carriers and yes.. you would think that is so sweeeet, but actually, in the next scene jimin was wearing it but it was filled with beer bottles, and he gave one to the guard at some door (this was supposed to be still the wedding party), and he went in behind a courtain, and i also went in and OH WHY NOT? jimin was only wearing a robe, boxers and CHAINS... actual chains like fake love concert jungkook chains, and he was taking pictures with some police officers... by then jungkook was nowhere to be found and almost naked jimin is tattooed in my brain forever :) not complaining.

Hey um I know there's a large chance that you most likely won't see this, but I just have to say this. When you had first spoken up about leaving the fandom I was confused as to why because I didn't really realize how dry it was becoming. I just wanna say how utterly correct you were. It has declined even moreee since your leave (not saying you caused it or anything). I sometimes find myself comparing the notes/reblogs from Tom!peter fanfics to the tasm!peter ones and the difference is astounding ( it has me wondering if anyone even knows that Tom!peter exists). It's really sad, the fandom honestly can't be revived, like where is everyone??? I have so many questions about the decline of content in the fandom ( I know the interactions from the readers played a huge part, but I also feel like there may have been other factor that lead to this.) Did everyone in the fandom just grow up or something?? Anyways, I miss you lots and hope you are doing well and your new fandoms are treating you right.

wow this was a doozy to read but in a good way 😭 the delusional main character side of me wants to think my absence had an impact of any kind lmaooo but to be honest, the fandom was already in really bad shape.

lack of reader interaction personally wasn’t that big of a factor for me, i was incredibly lucky and am still grateful for the consistent feedback and love y’all gave me and i still sometimes look through reblogs on my fave fics for writing inspo :”) it meant so much to me and i look back with so much fondness on all the fun times we had with more interactive series, especially break my heart.

not to sound like i’m giving a ted talk, but what drove me away more than anything was the toxicity of the fandom. granted all fandoms have a certain level of it, but this one was really, truly bad in 2021-2022. there’s only so much consistent harassment and suicide bait a girl can overlook while still feeling welcome and excited abt this space 😭 when i look back at that stuff now i’m honestly shocked so many people stayed as long as we did.

rabid shipping culture aside, i personally feel like the mcu spiderman franchise took a big hit in no way home that drove a lot of ppl away. obviously they couldn’t keep going forever with a 30 year old guy playing a 19 year old, but their creative decisions in nwh are questionable at best to me. the end of mcu peter’s story was so final and abrupt that, combined with how flip-floppy the writers were abt a follow-up trilogy with new characters and a time jump, didn’t leave much room for fanfic to carry on. they quite literally erased mcu peter as a character and individual from the mcu itself lmao it would be pretty hard for people to write copious fanfics about a guy who has no one bc no one knows who he is and his family is dead as hell.

that being said, i really am sorry you feel like it’s difficult to enjoy and share your passion in this space. that feeling sucks and i hope that, if you write fanfic, the lack of engagement and content doesn’t stop you from being creative and sharing what you wanna share. trends and fandoms come and go in waves, you never know when a piece of media or an actor has a revival in the general public. i don’t know what roles tom has going on but if you feel inspired to engage in them when the time comes, i’m sure there will be ppl there to interact. you’re never too ‘grown up’ to enjoy fandom, especially not one as iconic and timeless as spider-man in all variations. if there’s a character, there’s ppl out there creating art for them.
